TradFi to increase Bitcoin allocations this year as Bitcoin Hyper surges

TradFi Will Increase Bitcoin Allocations This Year, as Bitcoin Hyper Surges

by admin September 14, 2025

Trusted Editorial content, reviewed by leading industry experts and seasoned editors. Ad Disclosure

TradFi is likely to ramp up Bitcoin allocations by the end of the year, says Wall Street vet Jordi Visser.

The statement came during an interview with Anthony Pompiliano, where Visser declared:

Between now and the end of the year, the allocations for Bitcoin for next year, from the traditional finance world, are going to increase. That is going to happen.

—Jordi Visser, Official Youtube Interview

Immediately after the statement, Pompiliano agreed with Visser, stating that ‘all the bears are wrong and they’re going to cry.’

However, Visser recognized that Bitcoin is stalling right now because of the low investor activity and the stagnation in the market as a whole. For Bitcoin to ramp up, it takes increased interest from investors, which Visser thinks it’s coming.

Bitcoin Hyper’s ($HYPER) $15.6M presale will also contribute to Bitcoin’s marathon up the charts, as it promises to give us faster and cheaper Bitcoin transactions.

Q4 Will Mark Bitcoin’s Rebirth

Bitcoin has been stagnating in the $100K-$123K range since last December, with a few occasional dips below $80K. This is likely to change this coming Q4, with Bitcoin seeing increased investor interest and institutional and retail adoption.

Strategy is leading the pack with 638,460 $BTC, valued at over $74B, but it’s not the only one with a growing treasury. According to Bitcoin Treasuries data, public companies hold 1,010,738 $BTC, almost a third of all holdings, currently at 3.71M Bitcoins.

But it’s Strategy that delivers the most impactful punch with the largest Bitcoin reserve in the world by a large margin. By comparison, second place goes to MARA Holdings, with 52,477 $BTC, less than 10% of Strategy’s treasury.

Michael Saylor, Strategy’s co-founder and chair executive, posted yesterday a short but punchy X post with the words ‘Bitcoin is more interesting than the Magnificent 7.’

He then followed it up with another tweet, where he highlighted Strategy’s return compared to the assets under the Mag 7 umbrella and, at 91%, MSTR is the clear winner.

This explains why so many corporations and institutions try to replicate Strategy’s success and it puts Bitcoin’s long-term performance into perspective.

An even more interesting perspective comes through Bitcoin Hyper’s lens, the Layer 2 upgrade that promises to give us a faster and cheaper Bitcoin starting 2026 and onward.

Why Bitcoin Hyper ($HYPER) Promises Faster and Cheaper Bitcoin Transactions

Bitcoin Hyper ($HYPER) tackles one of Bitcoin’s most pressing issues: its native performance limitation. The Bitcoin network is capped at 7 transactions per second (TPS), which causes it to lag behind so many modern ecosystems.

For a clearer perspective, Bitcoin ranks 24th on the list of the fastest blockchains by TPS, Ethereum is 20th with 15 TPS, while Solana is third with almost 900 TPS and a 65,000 theoretical one.

A change is necessary and Hyper is that change.

Bitcoin Hyper relies on several tools to address this problem, with the Canonical Bridge and the Solana Virtual Machine (SVM) being among the most impactful.

The Canonical Bridge mints the users’ Bitcoins into Hyper’s Layer 2 after the Bitcoin Relay Program verifies and confirms incoming transactions.

Users can either use the wrapped Bitcoins on the Hyper layer or withdraw them to Bitcoin’s native network at will.

Together with the Bitcoin Relay Program, the Canonical Bridge achieves several things: near-instant finality, higher scalability, no more network congestion.

Because transactions essentially take place on the ultra-fast Hyper layer, the fee-based priority system, which forced smaller transactions at the end of the line, is also gone. No more waiting for hours for your transaction to go through.

The Solana Virtual Machine complements this system by enabling the lightning-fast execution of smart contracts and DeFi apps, further pushing Bitcoin’s performance to higher standards.

The $HYPER presale is now at over $15.6M, which already makes it one of the most successful presales of 2025.

If you want to invest, now’s the time, given that Bitcoin is about to enter Q4, when it’ll likely experience increased investor activity. $BTC is already testing its $116K price point.

$HYPER is now at $0.012915, but we expect it to hit the markets hard post launch, especially since Hyper aims at a Q4 public listing.

Based on the project’s utility and whitepaper, our price prediction for $HYPER is $0.32 by the end of the year and $1.50 by 2030, with sufficient community support and successful implementation.

So, read our guide on how to buy $HYPER and go to the presale page to secure your spot in the $HYPER train.

This isn’t financial advice. Do your own research (DYOR) and invest wisely.

Balatro’s big 2025 update won’t be coming out this year after all

by admin September 13, 2025

Fans will have to wait a little bit longer for the hotly-anticipated Balatro 1.1 update. Developer LocalThunk just announced it will not be coming out in 2025, despite previously promising a release this year. Instead, it’ll come out “when it’s done.”

It’s worth remembering that Balatro was created by a single person, and the same goes for this update. The lone developer also made the original balance patch and the well-regarded mobile port. He says he’s “well and truly burned out.”

LocalThunk apologizes for the delay and says “it has become clear now that it won’t happen by the end of the year.” It’s actually nice to let us know now instead of forcing us to wonder where the update is for the next several months.

“I still consider this my hobby,” he wrote. “The prospect of rushing the work and going back into crunch mode to get it out this year just felt terrible.”

Now for some good news. The update is definitely coming, just not right now. It’ll be free for all players on all platforms. The developer also hinted that this update would not be the final DLC drop for the game.

For the uninitiated, Balatro is a deckbuilding roguelike that’s loosely based on poker. Consider it the highly addictive sequel to poker we never knew we needed. It has proven to be a bona-fide phenomenon.

Balatro’s 1.1 update won’t come out this year, so developer Localthunk can keep working at a healthy pace

by admin September 13, 2025

Balatro’s free 1.1 update won’t release in 2025 as originally planned, developer Localthunk has announced. There’s no new release date, but they say the update’ll arrive when they’ve been able to complete it, while continuing to work at a healthy pace.

This update was first announced by publishers Playstack in August last year, with Localthunk subsequently revealing in a chat with Bloomberg that it’ll feature, among other stuff, some new jokers and a revamp of the Matador card. The latter dishes out a cash boost whenever you play a hand that triggers a boss blind’s ability.

In a blog post about the decision to delay the update, Localthunk wrote that it all comes down to wanting to ensure they keep on taking care of their health and desire to keep on developing the roguelike deckbuilder in the way they work, as you can read below:

The truth is that I probably shouldn’t have announced any date for the 1.1 update at all. I’m a hobbyist developer at heart and I love to tinker. If you read my blog post about the Balatro timeline, you’ll know that since the game went public in the summer of 2023 I have become all too familiar with the crunch and stress that inherently come with professional game development. The struggles of pre-launch are detailed in that blog post, but unfortunately it didn’t stop at launch. Immediately after Balatro 1.0 came out in February 2024 I dove right in to a big balance patch (1.0.1), then into the mobile port of the game right after, and by the time the mobile version came out in late 2024 I was well and truly burned out.

I took a break from everything to do with the game for a few months until the start of 2025 when I very slowly eased myself back into the work. However, I chose to only work on the game like I did when the project began, as a hobbyist (a few hours per day, and not always on the 1.1 update), and it turns out that it’s a lot slower than working in crunch mode 12 hours per day like I was around launch.

So, they now plan to keep on working at that slower cadence. “Balatro 1.1 will still come out, of that I am certain, but the new timeline is going to be it’s done when it’s done,” the developer explained, “It will be a free update for everyone on all platforms when it’s ready, and it’ll probably need some adjustments when it’s out there in the world (like 1.0 did), but that won’t be this year.”

I’m glad to see Localthunk putting their health and happiness above all else. After all, given that Balatro’s well-earned (not just because it led Edwin to have to write about boobs) and rampant popularity isn’t going to evaporate into nothingness anytime soon, there’s no sense in trying to rush 1.1 out. Folks will still be here for it further down the line, and ready to whip out their decks the moment it drops.

Amazon drivers could be wearing AR glasses with a built-in display next year

by admin September 11, 2025

Amazon, like Meta, Google, Samsung, and Snap, is working on a new pair of augmented-reality (AR) glasses, according to a report from The Information. The AR glasses, codenamed Jayhawk, could reportedly come with a full-color display in one eye, along with built-in microphones, speakers, and a camera.

Amazon launched its third-gen Echo Frame smart glasses in 2023, but their features fall flat when compared to Meta’s Ray-Bans. Though Amazon may launch its first AR glasses in late 2026 or early 2027, The Information reports that Amazon could release a pair made for delivery drivers even earlier.

Amazon initially plans on making 100,000 units of the glasses for delivery drivers, called “Amelia” internally, The Information reports. They will reportedly have a bulkier design when compared to the consumer version, along with a display designed to provide instructions to drivers about where to deliver packages. Reuters reported on the glasses last year, saying they would offer drivers “turn-by-turn navigation on a small embedded screen.”

Senators Still Hopeful for Crypto Market Structure Law by End of Year

by admin September 11, 2025

The U.S. Senate’s market structure bill should pass by the end of the year, leading lawmakers working on the effort said Wednesday, though efforts on this bill will likely push beyond the Sept. 30 deadline previously set by the Senate Banking Committee’s head.

“I don’t want to put an artificial deadline on anything,” said Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.), speaking at CoinDesk’s Policy and Regulation event in Washington, D.C. “We’re in the middle of negotiations about whether we’re going to have a bipartisan budget, so the most important issue that Congress has to deal with right now is the fiscal cliff.”

The question of timing has loomed large in the market structure work, with President Donald Trump having initially set an August deadline to have all the congressional crypto work on his desk. That optimistic deadline slipped first to the end of September, when Senate Banking Committee Chairman Tim Scott had said he wanted to have the market structure work done.

That deadline now still holds for part of the job, said Senator Cynthia Lummis, the Wyoming Republican who heads the panel’s crypto subcommittee. She said she hopes to have the Banking Committee’s work on it finished by then, but that will still leave the other necessary committee — Senate Agriculture — catching up in October, she added. While Lummis has previously mentioned Thanksgiving as a target, she said on Wednesday that “might be too optimistic.”

“It’s really important to me that we get this done by the end of the calendar year,” Lummis said. “It’s like being pregnant for four years, you know. Please, let it happen.”

Ethics concerns

A group of Senate Democrats published a list of priorities they wanted to see included in any market structure bill, ranging from consumer protections to regulators’ jurisdictions.

“What it allows for is an understanding that this is going to be bipartisan,” Gillibrand said, adding that Democrats may have different perspectives on issues like on- and off-ramps for decentralized finance and consumer protections.

One of the Democrats’ pillars would, if implemented, bar lawmakers including the president and vice president’s families from profiting off of crypto projects. Gillibrand said it was important to have an ethics component to prevent any appearance of self-dealing or breaches of the Emoluments Clause.

“I think it’s important to have this lens of ethics,” Gillibrand said. “It’s something that really undermines the entire industry.”

However, she added that at this point in the negotiations process, there was no “line in the sand” for Democrats. “It’s very important to me and I’d like to get the best ethics provision that’s possible.”

Lummis, speaking after the panel, said she would rather see any effort to restrict crypto trading by elected officials be its own separate effort, and potentially combined with securities and other investments, because she argued that cryptocurrencies shouldn’t warrant distinct treatment.

“I think that we’re going to have to have a dialogue with Democrats who are concerned about this president and future presidents’ participation,” she said.

Apple is giving iPhone 14 and 15 users another free year of satellite features

by admin September 10, 2025

iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 users are getting another year of free access to satellite connectivity features, according to a footnote on Apple’s newsroom posts for the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro. “The free trial will be extended for iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 users who have activated their device in a country that supports Apple’s satellite features prior to 12 a.m. PT on September 9, 2025,” Apple says.

Apple originally launched its Emergency SOS service via satellite shortly after it released the iPhone 14 lineup, in November 2022, and at the time, Apple said the feature would be free for the first two years. (The feature is still free for two years after activation on iPhone 14 models and newer.) But in 2023, Apple added an additional free year for existing iPhone 14 users, meaning that the deadline to potentially start paying for the earliest adopters would be November 2025. Now, it appears that deadline has been bumped to November 2026.

With iOS 18 last year, Apple expanded its satellite messaging features to let you text friends or family when you’re off the grid. Today, Apple also announced that the new Apple Watch Ultra 3 will have satellite connectivity features.

Apple gives iPhone 14 and 15 owners an extra free year of satellite connectivity

by admin September 9, 2025

Tucked away in Apple’s iPhone 17 press releases was a bonus for off-grid owners of older models. The company gave iPhone 14 and 15 owners free access to satellite features for another year. This is Apple’s third extension since Emergency SOS via satellite launched with the iPhone 14.

“The free trial will be extended for iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 users who have activated their device in a country that supports Apple’s satellite features prior to 12AM PT on September 9, 2025,” the company’s copy reads. An Apple support page lists Armenia, Belarus, China mainland, Hong Kong, Macao, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Russia as unsupported countries.

Apple’s off-grid feature set began in 2022 with Emergency SOS via satellite. In iOS 18, it expanded to include Messages via satellite, Find My access and roadside assistance. The features work through a partnership with Globalstar.

As for why Apple keeps extending the free access, a Redditor floated a logical-sounding theory after last year’s announcement. “I can’t see Apple ever charging for [Emergency SOS via satellite],” u/rotates-potatoes posted. “The positive PR of ‘saved by Apple’ is too good, and the negative PR of ‘died because they didn’t pay $3’ is too bad.” (It’s worth noting that the pricing was speculative. Apple hasn’t said how much it plans to charge.)

You can demo the features on your iPhone right now. To test Emergency SOS, head to Settings > Emergency SOS, and scroll down to “Try Demo” (at the bottom). For the texting feature, go to Settings > Apps > Messages, and scroll down to “Satellite Connection Demo.”

Roblox Will Age-Verify All Players Who Use Voice Chat By End Of Year

by admin September 8, 2025

Roblox developers announced plans to introduce comprehensive age verification for all players who wish to communicate in-game. The verification will use “a combination of facial age estimation technology, ID age verification, and verified parental consent.”

Roblox detailed the upcoming changes in a statement from chief safety officer Matt Kaufman, which it published on its website. In the statement, Kaufman claims the new methods will provide a more accurate age estimate than user input alone.

Once these system are in place, Roblox has promised to introduce more safety tools to prevent children from playing with adults who they don’t know in real life. The announcement touts that Roblox has introduced over 100 safety tools to the platform since January 2025, including an open source AI system called “Roblox Sentinel” that’s meant to detect early signs of child endangerment.

The announcement does not outline a more specific timetable for these changes or address any privacy concerns players may have.

“We hope this move sets a standard that other gaming, social media, and communication platforms follow,” the statement reads.

The change will make Roblox compliant with the UK’s Online Safety Act, which passed in early August.

These changes come after Roblox has come under legislative scrutiny. After a 2024 report from Bloomberg exposed a pedophile problem on the platform, Congressman Ro Khanna promoted a petition in August to demand that Roblox do more to prevent child abuse.

In March, Roblox CEO and co-founder David Baszucki responded to the allegations, saying, “My first message would be, if you’re not comfortable, don’t let your kids be on Roblox,” which prompted criticism from parents.

Starfield marks two year anniversary with a secret message

by admin September 7, 2025

Bethesda has hidden a secret message in a social media post ostensibly marking Starfield’s second anniversary.

It’s only 12 seconds long, and starts pretty much as you’d expect, but halfway through the video teaser, the music and visuals are interrupted, the black/blue palette is replaced by yellow and brown, and we see snippets of black text and a secret message.

Starfield is packed full of Easter Eggs, if you didn’t know.Watch on YouTube

Thanks to some keen-eyed Starfield fans, somebody’s already pieced together the clues and shared that message with us: “Terran Armada”.

While we don’t yet know what Terran Armada is, let alone when it’ll release, fans are positing it’s possibly the name of the next DLC or expansion, and are already sharing on the Starfield subreddit what’s top of their wishlist.

DLC2 is titled “Terran Armada”.

“Yeah, this is interesting because ‘Terran’ when used in the correct context can only mean ‘of Terra’ or ‘from earth’,” suggested one player. “Looks like our planet might be more than it seems in Starfeild. With the rumors of a Starborn DLC or update I wonder if a bunch of Starborn resettled the earth in secret or something?”

“I’m just happy to have something to speculate and theorize on again since that has been one of the most fun parts of gaming releases since [I] was a kid,” said someone else.

Hopefully, Bethesda won’t leave us hanging for long and will confirm what’s coming sooner rather than later – we’ll keep you posted.

Last month, Bethesda teased an upcoming update for Starfield would improve space travel following a datamine that discovered hints of an overhauled “cruise mode”. After a hasty patch removed hints of the cruise mode from the files, Bethesda has since come forward with its hands up and admitted that yes, cruise mode is real and is on the way somewhat soon.

Amazon’s God of War TV series will finally start filming early next year, new report claims

by admin September 6, 2025

Amazon’s God of War TV series will commence filming in March 2026.

That’s according to Nexuspointnews, which reports the filming of the series – which will follow Kratos’ “dangerous journey with his estranged son” to fulfil his wife’s dying wishes and “spread [her] ashes from the highest peak” – is finally slated to kick off in Vancouver, Canada, next March.

Sources told the site that casting for the show is “currently underway”.

Let’s Play God of War: DON’T SPEAK TO ME OR MY SON EVER AGAIN..Watch on YouTube

Amazon initially announced its God of War adaptation back in December 2022. Series showrunner, Ronald D. Moore, recently revealed the adaptation will remain largely faithful to Sony Santa Monica’s 2018 game, though it won’t be a frame-by-frame remake.

“This world and this universe are really rich, and it’s interesting, and it’s really been fun to adapt,” Moore explained at the time. “It’s an adaptation, so it’s an adaptation-slash-interpretation as you go into live-action, and it’s been really fun to sort of go, ‘Wow, there’s a lot here we can play with. Okay, we want to keep the story. We want to keep the characters and the spirit of it’. There’s all this stuff that you can keep turning to for inspiration.”

Moore joined the production almost two years after its was confirmed to be in the works after the series based on Sony Santa Monica’s God of War series reportedly had a “do-over” after the companies involved decided on a “different creative direction”. Despite the early issues, though, a second season has been greenlit at Amazon.
