ICYMI: the week’s 7 biggest tech stories from Xbox Game Pass’ price hike to foldable iPhone teasers

by admin October 4, 2025

This week has rounded off September, or Tech-tember as we call it, with the last few events of the month, from Amazon to Google’s big hardware and software reveals.

We also watched the internet implode as Xbox Game Pass got a major price hike, leading many to question if the subscription is still a good deal for them.

To catch up on all of this and more, scroll down for our recap of the week’s seven biggest tech news stories.

1. Samsung teased the foldable iPhone

(Image credit: Lance Ulanoff / Future)

For ICYMI, we don’t normally include reports based on leaks and speculation, as while they can be right on the money, they can also be way off the mark – even from often reliable sources. We’re making an exception here as Samsung Display’s president Lee Cheong has said that the company is preparing to mass produce foldable phone panels for a North American client, and only one company comes to mind as this mysterious buyer: Apple.

That’s because the long-awaited foldable iPhone is rumored to be launching next year, and Samsung Display has long been making its other iPhone screens.

We’ve heard numerous rumors about what the foldable iPhone might look like, but expect something thin – it might even be thinner than the 5.6mm iPhone Air when unfolded. Pricing-wise, the most recent leaked price we’ve heard is $1,999 (around £1,500 / AU$3,050).

The much-hyped Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses are finally available to the public in the US, and you can even book a demo to give them a whirl.

Sign up for breaking news, reviews, opinion, top tech deals, and more.

This wearable is essentially Meta’s existing Ray-Ban smart glasses with a screen attached, offering additional functionality such as on-screen navigation, notification pop-ups, and even support for video calls.

But with pairs starting at $799, you probably want to try them before you buy them. That’s why, using Meta’s official scheduler page, you can find a retailer near you offering 25-minute demos. Just be prepared to wait a while, as demos are already booked up for months – although as more stores offer the specs and roll them out to more regions, it should become easier to book a demo slot.

3. We judged an AI ‘actress’

Tilly Norwood is an AI ‘actress’ from “the world’s first artificial intelligence (AI) talent studio,” Xicoia, and she burst onto the scene via social media to look for agent representation.

The creator asked folks to “judge her by merit,” but we and many others – especially notable Hollywood figures – have decided she’s a terrifying prospect for the world of entertainment that could remove humanity from upcoming shows and films.

At these times, we can’t help thinking of that viral quote from Joanna Maciejewska when it comes to the likes of Tilly Norwood: “I want AI to do my laundry and dishes so I can do art and writing, not for AI to do my art and writing so that I can do my laundry and dishes.”

If you use Meta AI’s chatbot on Facebook and Instagram, you might want to reconsider, as beginning December 16, your chats will influence the ads you see – and at the time of writing, you can’t opt out.

“For example, if you chat with Meta AI about hiking, we may learn that you’re interested in hiking – just as we would if you posted a reel about hiking or liked a hiking-related Page. As a result, you might start seeing recommendations for hiking groups, posts from friends about trails, or ads for hiking boots,” Meta explained in its announcement.

Meta may be a pioneer here, but Google has discussed showing ads in Gemini and its AI Overviews, which appear at the top of search, while Amazon is using conversations with its Rufus AI chatbot for similar purposes.

5. Amazon announced new hardware

On Tuesday, Amazon held a huge hardware event in New York, and we were right there in the audience, bringing you the full lowdown on every device as it was announced.

Some of the highlights included the Kindle Scribe Colorsoft, which feels just like writing on paper, integrates with OneDrive and Google Docs, new Echo smart speakers and smart displays, three new Fire TVs, and updated Ring cameras and doorbells.

Everything is infused with AI courtesy of Alexa+, and we were able to get our hands (and ears) on everything to bring you our first impressions as soon as the presentations were over.

6. Google Home got an AI update

Google’s smart home tech is finally set to get the much-anticipated Gemini update, which will bring more conversational interactions, improved assistance for setting up your automations, and better object detection for your smart cameras.

Unfortunately, for the best features, you’ll need to start paying for a Google Home Premium subscription – yours for $10 a month or $100 a year (the Standard tier), or $20 a month or $200 a year (the Advanced tier).

The good news is you won’t need to upgrade to the new Google Home Speaker (though you can if you want), as the update will be supported by all of Google’s home tech launched in the last decade.

7. Xbox Game Pass got a price hike

Microsoft set the internet on fire by announcing big changes coming to Xbox Game Pass. That is that a top-tier Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription now costs $29.99 / £22.99 / AU$35.95.

This means that a year of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate – at $359.88 – costs only a little less than an Xbox Series S – with its recently increased $379.99 price.

Now, Ultimate does come with some useful benefits. It now includes a Fortnite Crew membership (which nets you skins, 1,000 V-Bucks per month, and the Battle Pass), Ubisoft+ Classics (curated classic Ubisoft games), and shorter wait times and 1440p resolution when streaming.

That said, many gamers haven’t taken this news well, with the page players would use to cancel their subscriptions crashing. Yikes! Don’t worry completely about the price rise, as you can still get Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for $19.99 per month for now – while stock lasts.

Battlefield 6’s first season arrives just 18 days after launch and over two weeks before Black Ops 7

by admin October 1, 2025

As a multiplayer game releasing in the year 2025 – and one that’s very much modelled after Call of Duty – there was very little chance Battlefield 6 wasn’t going to adopt the now-standard live service content pipeline.

But sometimes it’s good to get things in writing, which is what EA just did.

We’re about ten days away from the official launch of Battlefield 6, and this week, EA announced what its Battlefield Studios squad will deliver post launch – at least the first batch. The developer detailed Season 1, which will kick off October 28 – only 18 days post launch.

The season’s content rollout has somewhat of an unusual structure, but it’s one that looks to guarantee something new every month. Season 1 is split across three stages, each adding new content to the game.

Rogue Ops is the first one, arriving with the season’s kick-off on October 28. This phase adds a new large-scale map called Blackwell Fields, which EA says will support land, and air vehicles. The map is set in/around an airbase in the California badlands.

We’re also getting Strikepoint, a new 4v4 mode where each player gets a single life. Rogue Ops will expand the game’s content further with three weapons – the SOR-300 carbine, Mini Fix sniper rifle, and GGH-22 sidearm – as well as a new APC.

Another unusual thing about Battlefield 6’s seasons is the fact that they’re going to add new attachments for use with its weapons. In the first phase of Season 1, we’re getting the Rail Cover, and the Low Powered Variable Optic (LPVO).

California Resistance takes over on November 18 with another new map, Eastwood. This is another large map, though it only supports land vehicles, and helicopters. Eastwood is another California-set map located around a suburb and a golf course.

The new mode in this phase is Sabotage, an 8v8 affair where teams race to destroy as many sites as they can before time runs out. Teams alternate between attacking and defending each round.

California Resistance introduces the Battle Pickups feature to Battlefield 6, which are superpowered weapons anyone can pick up and use. They’re often scattered around the maps in fixed locations, but come with limited ammo.

Speaking of weapons, you can look forward to another two new arrivals: the DB-12 shotgun, and the M327 Trait revolver sidearm. The attachment pool grows with the Troy Angled grip, too.

The last stage of Season 1 arrives December 9 with Winter Offensive, which has the least amount of content compared to the other two. Rather than a new map, the game’s Empire State launch map is getting covered in ice for a limited time as part of the Ice Lock event.

The developer says the event will introduce a new mechanic called Freeze. It doesn’t explain how it’s going to work, but it does confirm that it’s a gameplay modifier, so presumably it will be available in Portal. Speaking of which, all the new content being added will also be available for use in Portal experiences.

The only weapon getting added with that last phase is the Ice Climbing Axe, which joins the game’s melee weapons roster.

More details about Season 1 will arrive closer to launch, but it’s safe to say this is a nice salvo of content to kick-start the game’s live service journey. Battlefield 6 is out October 10 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.

Free Battlefield 6 seasonal content plans unveiled – first batch arrives a few weeks after launch

by admin September 30, 2025

The first batch of seasonal Battlefield 6 post-release content will arrive 28th October, a few weeks after the game’s 10th October launch, EA has announced. It’ll bring new modes, new maps, new weapons, and more. And it’ll be free.

“All gameplay-impacting features will be free or earnable as part of our commitment to fair play and access for all players,” a press release says. And a blog on the game’s website has “free post launch content” emblazoned across a promotional image.

Battlefield 6 Season 1 will unfold in three phases. The first phase will arrive on 28th October and be known as Rogue Ops, and it’ll introduce a new four-versus-four mode called Strikepoint, in which you’ll only get one life per round; a new map called Blackwell Fields, which looks like an oil-field but is apparently a recommissioned American air base; three new weapons, a new APC, and some new weapon attachments.

The second phase, dubbed California Resistance, will land on 18th November, and bring a new eight-versus-eight mode called Sabotage, in which you have one round each on offence and defence, to see how many sites you can blow up; and a new Southern California map called Eastwood, which is a sleepy affluent suburb turned warzone; two new weapons and more.

The third and final phase will drop on 9th December and bring a winter-themed and limited time Ice Lock event based around a mechanic called Freeze, appropriately enough; and a seasonal update to the Empire State map.

Call of Duty says its anti-cheat for Black Ops 7 has ‘one of the strongest detection systems we have ever built,’ and this week’s beta will help put it to the test

by admin September 29, 2025

Ahead of this weekend’s beta test for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, Activision is reiterating its focus on anti-cheat to maintain the integrity of the game on PC.

Along with requiring Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 to even launch the game on PC, Activision says its RICOCHET Anti-Cheat system has evolved over the past year in Black Ops 6 to try and stay ahead of cheat-makers worldwide.

Image via Activision

“Over the last year, Team RICOCHET has trained advanced machine learning systems on millions of hours of gameplay,” Activision said in a new blog post. “These upgrades are smarter, faster, and more reliable than ever; built not just to catch cheaters, but to set the new standard for fair play and evolve with the game itself.”

With these changes, the company says RICOCHET now has “one of the strongest detection systems we have ever built, designed to separate natural aim from the precision patterns of an aimbot,” faster wall-hack detection, and a layered defense that “with constant and independent updates, makes it tougher for cheaters to adapt and easier for us to stay ahead.”

Call of Duty players have heard this all before in recent years as the hacking epidemic has grown with crossplay and free-to-play Warzone accounts, but the fact is anti-cheat is a never-ending battle against cheat providers who are always trying to stay one step ahead to make a quick buck by selling cheats. And Activision says it’s working to fight on that front, too.

“We’re striking cheat makers and sellers from every angle: in-game detections that stop them cold, and legal action that dismantles their operations,” Activision said. “And we’re not stopping there. Significant continued improvements to our systems are coming, including those that detect external hardware.”

The BO7 beta, which begins this Thursday, Oct. 2, is part of the process of ensuring that the anti-cheat systems are at work, Activision said, calling it “a critical test for the systems we have online under real player conditions” as players will inevitably try hacking in the beta test.

Image via Activision

“We are actively monitoring matches, gathering data across thousands of unique hardware setups, and removing cheaters in real time,” the company said. “The beta allows us to measure how our detection tools perform when faced with live attempts to cheat, and to fine-tune how quickly and effectively we strike back. Every report, every flag, and every removal during the beta feeds directly into stronger responses tomorrow.”

Nvidia plans to splash OpenAI with cash, pouring out $100 billion for ChatGPT’s creator and making last week’s Intel investment look like a drop in the money bucket

by admin September 23, 2025

Big tech is capable of throwing around some eye-watering amounts of cash. As you may recall, Nvidia announced $46.7 billion total revenue during its Q2 2025 earnings call. That’s not just a lot of moolah, but serious spending power.

As such, this week, Nvidia announced it will be investing $100 billion into OpenAI. Part of this mountain of money will go towards supplying the steward of ChatGPT with data centre chips. Details have yet to be finalised, but a letter of intent signed by the two companies announced plans to deploy 10 gigawatts of Nvidia systems for use in OpenAI’s data centres.

The two companies were hardly strangers to begin with, but this latest deal gives Nvidia a stake in one of its biggest customers. Nvidia’s investment in OpenAI will eventually take the form of non-voting shares in the company. OpenAI will then use the resulting cash flow to buy the aforementioned AI chips. Ultimately, this latest pledge of $100 billion makes last week’s surprising news that Nvidia would be putting $5 billion into Intel look like a drop in the bucket.

Related articles

Once this most recent deal is finalised, sources close to the company claim the plan is for Nvidia to invest an initial sum of $10 billion, followed by a hardware rollout sometime towards the end of 2026. The first gigawatt of power will likely take to the stage of Nvidia’s upcoming Vera Rubin AI compute platform, which was first revealed back in March.

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman explained in a statement that it was all about maintaining a competitive edge in an increasingly crowded field, saying, “Everything starts with compute. Compute infrastructure will be the basis for the economy of the future, and we will utilize what we’re building with Nvidia to both create new AI breakthroughs and empower people and businesses with them at scale.”

But Nvidia spending money on OpenAI so OpenAI can then buy Nvidia hardware has raised some concerns; if this flow of cash looks a little circular to you, you’re not the only one concerned about the potential shape of things to come.

Speaking to Reuters, Bernstein analyst Stacy Rasgon commented, “On the one hand this [deal] helps OpenAI deliver on what are some very aspirational goals for compute infrastructure, and helps Nvidia ensure that that stuff gets built. On the other hand the ‘circular’ concerns have been raised in the past, and this will fuel them further.”

Keep up to date with the most important stories and the best deals, as picked by the PC Gamer team.

Though that said, it’s perhaps too early to start throwing around words like ‘antitrust,’ particularly as the US Trump administration is all in on AI. Still though, the proposed 10 gigawatt data centres will demand power equivalent to the needs of 8 million U.S. households; despite Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang’s suggestion that AI customers ‘pace themselves’ and other major big tech players looking to nuclear to meet AI’s power demands, there may come a time when such a power imbalance can no longer be ignored.

Free ebooks and cheap iPhone 17 accessories are this week’s best deals

by admin September 21, 2025

A cool new perk recently became available for Prime members: for a limited time, you can get a three-month subscription to Kindle Unlimited. If your ebookshelf is looking bare, Amazon is currently offering a three-month subscription to Kindle Unlimited for free. The service typically costs $11.99 per month, so the deal saves you $35.97 over the course of the trial. Keep in mind that your subscription will automatically renew once the trial period is over. The discount is one of Amazon’s early Prime Big Deal Days deals (that’s a mouthful), dropping well ahead of the October 7th event. We’ll be on the hunt for more early deals as that date approaches.

Kindle Unlimited is a subscription service that gives you access to a library of over four million books, thousands of audiobooks, and an assortment of magazines. You can download items from the Kindle Unlimited library onto — you guessed it — a Kindle, or any device with the Kindle app. The library is large enough that you should be able to find books in your favorite genres (perhaps by your favorite author, too) and three months is plenty of time to tear through a full series or two.

Helldivers 2 devs Arrowhead pull new Rupture Strain bugs offline for five weeks to fix their, er, bugs

by admin September 20, 2025

Helldivers 2 developers Arrowhead have opted to pull a recently deployed variant of the shooter’s Terminid bugs offline for five weeks, in order to fix issues with them. Yep, for now you can dive onto planets like Oshaune and explore some Into the Unjust update caves without having to worry about burrowing bugs jumping out to mercilessly kick your bottom.

Rupture Warriors have been the main source of Rupture Strain ire since their arrival at the start of this month, as their ability to pop out of the Earth and instantly murder unsuspecting troops has proven tough to counter. At first, those hosting sessions were most at risk of dying like this, but Arrowhead’s attempt to rectify the issue in Tuesday’s patch seemingly put everyone in each party in an equal amount of danger, though some players did dispute this was the case.

Fast forward to now, and the studio have decided the best option is to sub the Rupture Strain out for a little while, until they can return in a more palatable form. “Our patch yesterday combined with other issues regarding the balance of the Rupture Strain have made them function in a way we did not intend,” Arrowhead community manager Katherine ‘Baskinator’ Baskin announced on the game’s Discord server. “We’re going to take the Rupture Strain offline…No other units will be affected. The improved Rupture Strain will be back online in 5 weeks.”

So, there you go, as of 5PM BST on September 17th, the Rupture Strain’s been put back in its box, and will stay there for just over a month while the devs try to persuade those warriors to give folks with machine guns and bombs a fair chance.

A comment an Arrowhead QA lead going by Jojo made in the Discord a couple of days ago sheds a bit more light as to what’s happened since the patch arrived and the Rupture Warriors started mercilessly murdering everyone, rather than just session hosts. Apparently the host focusing quirk was down to a “networking issue” that Arrowhead opted to rectify.

“That is a lot more straightforward to fix then tweaking the attacks and was causing some networking issues,” the developer explained. “So it’s unfortunate that the fix means more people are getting hit by an arguably unfair attack, but it was a needed fix. We are looking into how the rupture enemies have landed but thats a broader issue.”

That look’s clearly convinced the studio that this pulling of the enemies offline is the best course of action, so here’s hoping that when they come back online, the issue of their overtuned attacks making them very unpopular to play against will have been taken care of for the long-term.

Bugged bugs aren’t the only problem Arrowhead have had to grapple with after deploying Into the Unjust, with the days following its arrival plagued by technical gremlins that, to be fair, the studio were quick to say they’d try to sort, even if they weren’t keen on doing a patch that only featured performance tweaks.

Northernlion streaming the game Computer Shrilow
Product Reviews

Weeks after Silksong’s launch I can’t stop thinking about this streamer’s masterful troll campaign against its fans: ‘They made a whole game about getting to your car but you don’t have car keys, and you’re excited for that?’

by admin September 20, 2025

I’ve spent a not-insignificant portion of my waking hours the last few weeks thinking (and writing) about Hollow Knight: Silksong, but I may have actually spent more time replaying a description of the game from streamer Northernlion in my head over and over again like a Nick at Nite rerun.

While Silksong was the focal point of online gaming conversation from its late August release date announcement up until the launch of Borderlands 4, Northernlion not only cheerily avoided streaming it alongside other big Twitch channels, but spent the Silksong hype period roasting viewers who asked why he wasn’t playing it.

“Have metroidvania fans ever considered that walking back is not as much fun as walking forward? I guess I’m just a different kind of beast’,” he joked a few days before Silksong’s release. “You can do metroidvanias if you want, but once I finish with something I’m done with it. I’m moving on. Greener pastures. Oh, you need a double-jump to access that door up there? Well, I guess god doesn’t want me to go up there. I’ll be moving to the right. I’ll be moving to the right and jumping onto platforms that are approximately one times my height above me. That’s about it, man. That’s about it.”

Related articles

In the early 2010s Northernlion amassed a fanbase on YouTube with let’s play videos of The Binding of Isaac, but in recent years has become better known for live interactions with his audience on Twitch streams. At some point his ability to riff on basically any topic started generating a consistent stream of viral goofs, rants, and unbelievable moments—enough to earn him a reputation as “your favorite streamer’s favorite streamer.”

So it was perfectly in character when, straight off the dome, he delivered a perfect stream-of-consciousness takedown of metroidvanias as the gaming equivalent of getting to your car and realizing you forgot your car keys.

You can watch it here, but I will now transcribe the quote in its entirety for your reading pleasure:

Northernlion HATES Silksong – YouTube

Watch On

“We will not be playing Silksong. Regardless of its reviews, we are being indifferent to Silksong. The reason is, I hate going back for stuff. I hate when I get to my car and then I forgot about my car keys. I’m like, what the hell, now I have to go back to the house?

Keep up to date with the most important stories and the best deals, as picked by the PC Gamer team.

“They made a whole game about getting to your car but you don’t have car keys, so now you have to go into your basement and get a fucking pogo stick that lets you jump up to the shelf where you’ve got your car keys, only oh wait, your garage door opener is inside something you have to become really tiny to get into, you have to get into your crawlspace to get the garage door opener, and then you go to click it but there’s no batteries, to get the batteries you’ve got to use the pogo stick to get a key that goes into a lock that unlocks to get the batteries but you don’t have the screwdriver to unlock the back of the garage door opener to put the batteries in so you’ve got a use a shovel to dig a hole, you gotta use your pogo stick and get really small in order to get to the shovel that you use to dig up the screwdriver to unscrew the back to put the batteries in to use the garage door opener to get into your car to use your car keys to drive to work.

“They made a game about that, and you can’t wait for it? You’re excited for that? Are you crazy?”

This is a perfect bit. It is immaculately conceived comedy with an unimpeachable narrative throughline that would leave stand-up comedians who’ve spent months polishing the delivery of worse jokes reeling. Per-second it has delivered me substantially more joy than any of the 20 hours I’ve put into Silksong so far, and I love the game.

Related articles

The best part is that this is not just a bit; it’s a bit-inside-a-bit, just one moment inside the meta joke of games he plays instead of Silksong, as highlighted in this compilation of subsequent streams.

anything but silksong (Ragebait) – YouTube

Watch On

“i can’t believe in the middle of the ragebait he plays a puppygirl game out of no where,” reads one of the YouTube comments, reacting to Northernlion booting up a clicker game.

Northernlion’s fanbase has picked up his flair for multilayered and ironic reference-filled in-jokes, as another comment on that same video demonstrates:

“Pro tip: The Lion of the North frequently attempts to Ragebait against the current of the popular. If you do not have the prerequisite endurance or Thick Skin charm, counter by purposefully ignoring his cinema references or feigning absolute indifference towards it. The glass canon nature of this interaction will flip the Soyjak-Gigachad equilibrium to your favour, and soon enough NL will be the irate lion screaming at the calm and composed monkey that is you.”

You can no doubt find an army of YouTubers and Twitch streamers out there currently not playing Silksong, or making videos about why its difficulty is a crime against gamers. But only one who has the composure to blurt out “Shitsong!” and then segue to a diss of James Blunt’s You’re Beautiful. Truly a different kind of beast.

Pump.fun’s PUMP Rewards Diamond Hands With 4X in 7 Weeks: Analysis

by admin September 16, 2025

In brief

  • Pump.fun’s PUMP has rocketed 77% over the last week, driven by aggressive buybacks and platform dominance.
  • The charts are flashing strong bullish signals.
  • But users on the Myriad prediction market are still bearish. Here’s why.

The crypto market continues its dance of consolidation, with Bitcoin and Ethereum more or less trading sideways as traders and investors await the Federal Reserve’s next move.

But while the crypto majors tread water ahead of Wednesday’s eagerly anticipated decision on interest rates, one token is stealing the show with a face-melting 77% weekly rally: Pump.fun’s PUMP.

Defying both its own doomers and the typical seasonal market slump in September, the Solana-based Pump is proving the naysayers wrong and rewarding its diamond hands. It’s gone from July’s worst-performing token to September’s comeback king.

Here’s what’s going on, and what the charts have to say about it:

Pump.fun’s PUMP price: The buy signal was real

Pump.fun might as well have told its bagholders: “If you can’t handle me at my worst, you don’t deserve me at my best.”

Those who had the stomach to handle PUMP’s nearly 70% dip after its July launch are now all in the green—the coin is 63% up from its ICO price and up nearly 270% from the bottom.

PUMP’s remarkable turnaround validates our analysis from July, when we called the bottom near $0.0023. The actual bottom turned out to be $0.00227—so, very close.

Pump.fun (PUMP) price data. Image: Tradingview

How did this happen? It can be summed up like this:

Pump.fun, the Solana meme coin launchpad responsible for millions upon millions of tokens entering the trenches, launched its own PUMP token in an ICO in July—back when competing token launchpads were nipping at its heels.

The PUMP token sold out in seconds at a $4 billion valuation, generating $600 million in fresh capital for the company. The price of PUMP soared in the immediate aftermath, then cratered almost as quickly. Throughout July and early August, Pump.fun lost ground to competing launchpads—namely Bonk.fun—and the price of PUMP suffered as a result. Then, things changed.

In late July, Pump.fun initiated token buybacks (similar to stock buybacks, for you normies out there), taking profits generated from its launchpad and putting them directly back into the chart, pumping PUMP. The company then introduced “creator rewards” (fees similar to NFT royalties) and other incentives for livestreamers, and it’s been good times for Pump ever since. The platform has regained the ground lost to competitors in July, trading volumes are up, and Pump.fun is back to generating over $1 million in revenue per day.

So, naturally, PUMP is now up 4X from its July bottom. Now, onto the charts:

The Pump token opened today at $0.0086, above an $8.6 billion fully diluted valuation, and since settled at $0.0082. It’s up slightly in the last 24 hours, testing the psychological resistance level of $0.009 marked by its all-time high.

The technical indicators most traders who study charts look at all point to a powerful uptrend, though it is approaching some significant inflection points.

The Relative Strength Index, or RSI, for PUMP is at 79 at the moment, which is deeply overbought. RSI measure measures momentum on a 0-100 scale, where readings above 70 signal overbought conditions. At 79 points, PUMP is flashing some warning signs. This is typically where profit-taking emerges as algorithmic trading systems trigger automatic sales.

Traders would read this as bearish in the immediate term, because most often lock in gains at these extreme levels, potentially triggering a pullback to the $0.007-$0.0075 range before the next leg higher.

This might be why predictors on Myriad—a prediction market built by Decrypt’s parent company, Dastan—are slightly bearish on PUMP at the moment. With PUMP currently at a $2.9 billion market cap, Myriad users believe it’s more likely PUMP dips below $2 billion than spikes above $4 billion, placing odds at 54.3% vs 45.7%.

Another common indicator for technical-analysis-minded traders is the Average Directional Index, or ADX. PUMP’s ADX is at 44, which screams “strong trend in progress.” ADX measures trend strength regardless of direction, with readings above 25 confirming established trends and above 40 indicating extremely powerful momentum.

At 44, PUMP’s ADX gives traders a sense that a long-term bullish trend is in place. In other words, despite a possible correction, there is a reasonable chance of a cup and handle pattern emerging in the chart—the sort that’s formed from a big crash (in July) and recovery (now) followed by a smaller crash and recovery shortly after.

Since the coin is still so young, there is still not enough data to do an exponential moving average comparison. But in shorter timeframes, the coin entered into “golden cross” territory in early September.

A golden cross is when the average price of an asset over short term crosses above the average price over the long term, and it’s widely interpreted by traders as a strong bullish signal.

This is important because price action in shorter timeframes is often noisier than in longer timeframes, but price movements appear on those noisy charts sooner. In other words, extrapolating data, it’s easy to see why traders would conclude a bullish move is in play when short-term averages are moving above slower long-term averages.

Also, the coin has done a 4X in seven weeks. So there’s that, too.

Key levels to watch:

  • Immediate support: $0.0074 (recent consolidation zone)
  • Strong support: $0.0066
  • Immediate resistance: $0.0090 (psychological level near all-time high)
  • Strong resistance: $0.0105 (next Fibonacci extension and potential breakout target)

Spider-Man Magic: The Gathering Set Restocked Ahead Of Next Week’s Launch

by admin September 16, 2025

Spider-Man swings into the Magic: The Gathering universe next week in the latest crossover set. Most of the MTG Spider-Man products have been sold out since preorders opened back in March, but Amazon has restocked the Marvel’s Spider-Man Play Booster Box and is offering a discount. Normally $209.70, the 30-pack Booster Box is available to preorder for $192 ahead of the Spider-Man set’s September 26 release.

If you’re interested in picking up the Marvel’s Spider-Man Bundle, the Gift Bundle, or Spidey’s Spectacular Showdown Scene Box, we’d recommend checking the links below frequently. Amazon has restocked all three recently. Unfortunately, these Spider-Man MTG products never remain in stock for very long, which isn’t surprising since this is a crossover set starring arguably the most popular superhero in the world.

Magic: The Gathering x Marvel’s Spider-Man:

Take a closer look at all of the upcoming Spider-Man Magic: The Gathering TCG products below. If you’re still looking for cards from Magic’s exceedingly popular Final Fantasy crossover, check out our Final Fantasy x Magic: The Gathering restock tracker. At the time of writing, Amazon has the Starter Kit in stock for $20 and deals on the Commander Decks. You can even get the Commander Deck Bundle for a massive $110 discount that drops the price to $170 (was $280). We’ve rounded up more Magic: The Gathering TCG crossover sets at the bottom of this story, including Avatar: The Last Airbender, which is slated to launch November 21.

$192 (was $209.70)

Magic: The Gathering’s Spider-Man Play Booster Box includes 30 packs. With Amazon’s current preorder discount, you’re saving close to $20. In total, you’ll get 420 Spider-Man-themed MTG cards in each Play Booster Box.

Here’s the breakdown of the card types you’ll pull in each 14-card pack. Each pack also includes a non-foil double-sided token.

  • 6–7 Commons
  • 3 Uncommons
  • 1 Wildcard of any rarity
  • 1 Rare or Mythic Rare
  • 1 Traditional Foil Card of any rarity
  • 1 Basic Land
  • 0–1 MAR

$42

Spidey’s Spectacular Showdown Scene Box includes three Marvel’s Spider-Man booster packs as well as two different sets of six scene cards. You’ll get six Traditional Foil Borderless Scene Cards that you can use when playing the card game. The artwork on those cards is also found on six Art-Only Scene Cards. The art cards aren’t playable, but the Scene Box comes with a display easel to showcase the artwork. Together, the six cards form a cohesive scene featuring Spider-Man and a handful of Marvel villains.

Here are the Scene Cards you’ll find in the box alongside your display easel and trio of booster packs:

  • Grasping Tentacles
  • Venom, Deadly Devourer
  • Green Goblin, Nemesis
  • Doc Ock, Evil Inventor
  • Sensational Spider-Man
  • Pumpkin Bombs

$70

The Marvel’s Spider-Man Bundle has been difficult to find since preorders for the set opened in early March. This isn’t too surprising since MTG Bundles come with nine booster packs valued at $63 as well as numerous other goodies, including a promo art card, a Spidey-themed storage box, and everything you need to start building your deck to play the trading card game.

Here’s the full list of items included in the Marvel’s Spider-Man Bundle:

  • 9 booster packs (14 cards each)
  • 30 Basic Land Cards (15 Foil, 15 Non-foil)
  • 1 Traditional Foil Alternate-Art Promo Card
  • 2 Reference Cards
  • 1 Spindown Life Counter
  • 1 Spider-Man Storage Box

$90

The $90 Gift Bundle has largely been sold out since preorders opened, but Amazon has restocked it numerous times. The only problem is these restocks always seem to sell out in minutes, so you really need to get lucky.

The Gift Bundle comes with everything that’s in the regular bundle as well as a Collector Booster Pack with 15 Rare, Foil, and Special Treatment cards. Another cool aspect is the box itself. The Gift Bundle recreates the cover of Amazing Fantasy #15 (August 1962), the first appearance of Spider-Man.

  • 1 Collector Booster Pack (15 cards)
  • 9 Booster Packs (14 cards each)
  • 30 Basic Land Cards (15 Foil, 15 Non-foil)
  • 1 Traditional Foil Alternate-Art Promo Card
  • 2 Reference Cards
  • 1 Spindown Life Counter
  • 1 Spider-Man Storage Box

$40

Magic: The Gathering Collector Booster Packs are geared more toward enthusiast collectors, but these expensive boosters typically include some very cool foil cards. The $40 Collector Booster features 15 cards and an art card or traditional foil double-sided token:

  • 5 Traditional Foil Commons
  • 4 Traditional Foil Uncommons
  • 1 Traditional Foil Basic Land
  • 1 Traditional Foil Rare or Mythic Rare
  • 2 Non-foil Booster Fun Rare or Mythic Rare cards
  • 1 MAR card
  • 1 Traditional Foil Booster Fun Rare or Mythic Rare

$430

The Collector Booster Box comes with 12 of the $40 Collector Booster Packs detailed above. Though prices have varied–we’ve seen $430-$455–you’re likely to “save” by buying the pricey packs by the dozen versus individually. That said, just like the Collector Booster Pack, this has been sold out for months.
