Final Spot XRP And Solana ETF Amendments Expected This Week

The US crypto ETF market is bracing for a decisive stretch after the SEC’s approval of “generic listing standards” last week opened a streamlined path for spot XRP and Solana ETFs—alongside products beyond bitcoin and ether. With exchanges now able to list qualifying commodity-based ETPs without a bespoke 19b-4 approval, applicants for spot XRP and Solana funds are rushing to lodge final amendments—filings that several industry participants say are already substantially baked.

Countdown To Launch For Spot XRP And Solana ETFs

On September 24, ETF Store president Nate Geraci signaled the inflection point in a series of posts on X. “Final wave of amendments could be filed by end of this week on various spot crypto ETFs incl xrp & sol,” he wrote, adding that “those filings are pretty far along in the review process” and that the “countdown to launch is on,” citing a Reuters report on the SEC’s new framework.

In a separate post, Geraci flagged the Hashdex Nasdaq Crypto Index US ETF: “Here we go…Hashdex Nasdaq Crypto Index US ETF *approved* under SEC’s new generic listing standards. Will now be able to own crypto assets beyond btc & eth. Looks like xrp, sol, & xlm.”

Reuters, which first detailed the regulator’s accelerated pathway on Sept. 18 and followed up on Sept. 24, reported that, since the SEC initially floated the rules in July, issuers have “scrambled to update their new product filings and respond to specific comments and questions from the SEC.” A “final wave of amendments could be filed by the end of this week,” three people familiar with the matter told the wire service. “Those filings are pretty far along in the review process,” Bitwise president Teddy Fusaro said. “These are the rules we had been anticipating.”

The rule change is foundational. By blessing generic listing standards at NYSE Arca, Nasdaq and Cboe BZX, the Commission shifted spot-crypto ETF approvals from an adjudicative, proposal-by-proposal slog to a rules-based regime. In the SEC’s own words, exchanges may now list Commodity-Based Trust Shares that meet the criteria “without first submitting a proposed rule change” to the Commission—compressing timelines to roughly 75 days in straightforward cases and removing duplicative reviews that historically bottlenecked non-BTC/ETH products.

For XRP in particular, a compressed and crowded calendar now looms. The SEC’s final deadlines line up across seven days in October: Grayscale on Oct. 18, 21Shares on Oct. 19, Bitwise on Oct. 20, CoinShares and Canary Capital on Oct. 23–24, and WisdomTree on Oct. 24–25.

Solana sits in the same slipstream. According to Galaxy Digital Research, Solana is the leading candidate for the first-wave approvals under the generic regime, reflecting the maturity of filings and the exchanges’ preparedness to list them. Issuers including Bitwise and 21Shares have spent the summer revising staking, custody and in-kind transfer language to fit within the exchanges’ rulebooks and the SEC’s evolving expectations.

At press time, XRP traded at $2.84.

Here at Bottom 10 Headquarters, located in the Miami poolside cabana where university semiotic specialists are studying Pat McAfee’s tan lines, we are sad because we know that for most of the nation, the days of jumping into any swimming pool are quickly coming to a close. The days remaining in September have dwindled into single digits, soon to be followed by single-digit temperatures in those pools.

For many, September can’t wrap up soon enough. I am of course speaking of the pumpkin spice cartel and the teams of the Bottom 10. The hopes that those teams carried into Week 0 have all but vanished. As October looms, they are already halfway or more to a cache of losses that will guarantee a sub-.500 season. The dreams they shared of earning a 6-6 berth to a December bowl game are nearly as bankrupt as the cryptocurrency bank that failed to make payment on its sponsorship of that bowl game.

But alas, all is not lost. No team in the FBS ranks has more than four losses. There’s still one more game weekend left in September. There is still time for a turnaround. Just make sure you don’t get so turned around that you wind up running the ball into the wrong end zone.

The Bearkats kreated a konundrum for Texas fanatiks. Kould they in kind konscience kontribute enkouragement to Arch Manning?

The Minutemen failed to cover the spread against the Fightin’ Byes of Open Date U. And by that we mean they tried to have a picnic at Lexington Green and literally failed to cover the spread, which was overrun with ants. Still, that’s better than being overrun by Tigers, which will happen this weekend at No. 20 Missouri.

There was also a bye in Westwood. As in, “Bye, Coach.” Now it’s off for the Pillow Fight of the Week, that tradition-rich Big Ten rivalry game at Northworstern.

I was in Corvallis midweek, mere days before the Game Formerly Known As The Civil War. Fittingly, the mood ahead of the Oregon matchup was much like the feelings of the Confederates as they arrived at the Appomattox Court House. The postgame mood was like when they were leaving the courthouse and stepped in a pile of horse manure.

As I contemplated the Coveted Fifth Spot this week and rewatched a lot of Clemson news conferences, I thought of the eternal words of Crash Davis, speaking to Nuke LaLoosh in “Bull Durham”: “Your shower shoes have fungus on them. … If you win 20 in The Show, you can let the fungus grow back and the press will think you’re colorful. Until you win 20 in The Show, however, it means you are a slob.”

The Golden Flashes in the Pan have an off week. Some might tell you they will use that time to prepare for their Week 6 trip to Oklahoma. But we know better. They are already looking ahead, as we all should be, to their Oct. 11 hosting of UMess in what has all the makings of our first official PFOTWOTYOTCMB of 2025, the Pillow Fight of the Week of the Year of the Century Mega Bowl.

The Woof Pack had somehow managed to elude our evaluation scouts this season despite a loss two weeks ago to then-Bottom 10 member Muddled Tennessee. That made sense when we found those scouts in Reno, passed out on the floor of the Circus Circus casino atop a pile of losing keno tickets and chicken wing bones.

I live in Charlotte and there’s always been this one guy who follows me around the grocery store dressed in green-and-gold 49ers gear chanting “Boo! Bottom 10!” and throwing free cocktail weenie samples at me as he gnaws on a beef stick. I would punch him in the nose, but that’s no way to treat a cousin.

The RedHawks have opened their season by losing to three other teams that wear red: Wisconsin, Rutgers and UNLV. Now they face the FCS Lindenwood Lions, who wear black. If they lose that one, then they are destined to fall to their next opponent, Northern Illinois, who wears red and black.

Speaking of red, the Red Wolves have had a rough September, opening with a win over another set of Redhawks, Southeast Missouri State, but then losing three in a row. That includes a Week 2 defeat versus Arkansas, who amazingly did not figure out a way to lose in inexplicably heartbreaking fashion. Watching Razorbacks football these days is like watching all those dashcam TikToks. It’s not a question of if that truck up ahead if going to crash into a light pole, but how.

A week after saying it was going quiet for the rest of the year, Palworld announces a crossover with the brilliant and bloodstained shooter Ultrakill

Only last week, Palworld developer Pocketpair announced that the hit survival game, which remains in early access, would be going quiet as it prepared for a full launch in 2026. Well well well… it looks like someone had a surprise up their sleeve, because today brought the announcement of an unexpected crossover, albeit with scant detail.

Palworld is collaborating with Ultrakill, a brilliant indie shooter by Arsi ‘Hakita’ Patala that’s still in early access itself, and continuing to blow minds (the game sits at “overwhelmingly positive” on Steam with roughly 120K user reviews). Ultrakill is fast-paced, bloody, and constructed around five weapons and the intricate way their various fire modes can be comboed together. It also boasts the brilliant tagline: “Mankind is dead. Blood is fuel. Hell is full.”

The announcement says that “collaboration gear and weapons from the cult-hit game Ultrakill are coming to Palworld!” Ultrakill’s hardware is fantastic, and you’d expect there’ll be some clever ways to get all your pals tooled-up and combo-ing merrily together.

There’s no release date beyond “later this year,” with Palworld also scheduled for a winter update (which Pocketpair has said won’t be as big as the 2024 equivalent: but that was enormous.) Other than that, the developer’s settling down to get it ready for the full release.

“Beyond just adding new content, there’s a lot of cleanup that needs to be done before Palworld can exit early access,” said Pocketpair community director Bucky last week. “It’s no secret that Palworld has a lot of quirks and jank, and we want to take the time to properly address those before releasing the game. With that in mind, we plan to start this cleanup this year.”

Current Week Is the Third Worst Week Historically for BTC

The 38th week of the year is historically the third-worst performing week for bitcoin, averaging a return of -2.25%. Only week 28 (-2.78%) and week 14 (-3.91%) have been weaker historically, according to Coinglass data.

This week, bitcoin is already down nearly 2%, trading around $113,000, with September’s monthly options expiry pointing to a max pain level at $110,000, according to Deribit, this could imply further downside.

Max pain refers to the strike price at which the largest number of options contracts (calls and puts) expire worthless, effectively maximizing losses for option buyers.

In addition, market enthusiasm has faded. Perpetual funding rates for bitcoin, which measure the ongoing cost of holding leveraged long or short positions in perpetual futures contracts, have dropped to 4%, one of their lowest levels in a month.

A low positive funding rate suggests reduced demand for leveraged long exposure, often signaling that speculative froth in the market has cooled.

While, implied volatility (IV), which reflects market expectations for future price swings, is also near historic lows at 37.

Despite the weekly dip, bitcoin remains 4% higher in September and up 6% for the quarter. With roughly 14 weeks left in the year and most of those weeks historically producing positive returns, this may represent calm before potential volatility.

Meanwhile, gold has continued its impressive rally, climbing another 1% on Tuesday and now more than 42% higher year to date, which continues to take the sting out of bitcoin.

Another factor weighing on bitcoin sentiment is the massive gains in artificial intelligence and high-performance computing stocks, for example IREN (IREN), which may have taken some shine away from bitcoin in the short term.

The Last of Us Season 2’s Limited Edition Steelbook is up for grabs for $35 (was $45) at Amazon ahead of the HBO show’s 4K Blu-ray release tomorrow, September 23. Amazon is the only retailer offering the $10 discount. The Steelbook Edition is currently priced at $40 at Walmart and Gruv. If you’re interested in owning the collectible 4K Blu-ray edition of Season 2, it’s not a bad idea to snag a copy soon, seeing as the Steelbook Edition for Season 1, which launched in March, now sells for rather high prices on the reseller market. Plus, Season 2’s 4K Steelbook is the same price as the standard 4K edition.

$35 (was $45) | Releases September 23

The Last of Us Season 2’s Limited Edition Steelbook features promotional photography of Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey) with Cordyceps fungus forming a moth–like Ellie’s tattoo–in the background. The interior artwork shows Ellie surrounded by a horde of people who have succumbed to the Cordyceps fungus.

The three-disc set includes all seven episodes of Season 2 in native 4K (2160p) resolution and supports Dolby Vision and HDR10. The infected’s growls and the unsettling calling card of Clickers should sound pretty unnerving with Dolby Atmos audio and 7.1 lossless surround sound.

All 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray editions of The Last of Us Season 2 have the same bonus features, most of which originally aired on HBO Max. There are two brand-new exclusive bonus features, though. The Last of Us: Season Two Limited Edition Steelbook

The Last of Us Season 2 continued HBO’s largely faithful adaptation of the Naughty Dog video game franchise. While Season 1 had nine episodes, Season 2 only had seven. The new season adapted a portion of The Last of Us Part II, though it was largely told from Ellie’s perspective. Season 3 is expected to flip the script and follow Abby, the other playable character from the second game.

While the show’s overarching storyline has remained aligned with the games–some of the scenes are nearly identical–it has, at times, explored previously uncharted backstories and introduced new characters within self-contained episodes.

The Last of Us Season 1 on 4K Blu-ray

As mentioned, the Steelbook Edition for The Last of Us Season 1 sold out earlier this year. If you still need to pick up Season 1, the 4K Blu-ray standard edition is only $20 at Amazon or Walmart. The standard Blu-ray version is $16 at Walmart and $20 at Amazon.

Hello reader who is also a player! Once again I have failed in my fervent efforts to meddle with the Earth’s rotation so as to suspend time exactly at 11.30am, Saturday morning. I fear that another week is upon us. Fortunately, it contains some new PC games, spanning full releases and early access launches. Some of those new PC games may even be worth a modest portion of your lifespan and personal capital. Here’s a list of the ones I find most appealing or notable.

  • Blippo+ is about surfing channels to discover the soaps, sitcoms, news, weather, and talk shows of mysterious Planet Blip
  • Baby Steps is about learning to walk, one helplessly sliding ragdoll animation at a time
  • The point-and-click artisans of Blue Brain Games are back with The House Of Telsa
  • Clone detection horror It Has My Face has my curiosity, perhaps even my attention, but only time will tell whether it has my face

Wednesday 24th September

  • Let’s all go be Japanese high schoolgirls from the 1960s and slice up yokai scarecrows in Silent Hill f, which Oisin says is decent
  • Let’s all go come-of-age in Consume Me (pictured), a life sim about feeling “stupid, fat, lazy, and ugly in high school”, with mostly bad endings
  • Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds does not contain any schools or self-loathing, but it is thinking with portals

Aside from the above new PC games, this week will contain a non-zero quantity of games so new they aren’t even released yet. We’ll hear about a few of them at the latest Tokyo Game Show, which runs 25th-28th September. As I write this I am looking at a spreadsheet of embargoed announcements. The temptation to just paste the whole thing below and take the week off is fierce, but I am absurdly professional and will resist. Pretty sure none of you care about made you look! anyway.

Chucky Complete TV Series Releases On Blu-Ray This Week With A Collectible Steelbook

Chucky has haunted screens and instilled the fear of dolls in the minds of many for decades. Thanks to the long-running film franchise and recent TV series, the creepy doll has become one of the most recognizable horror characters of all time. Soon, fans of the amateur comedian and full-time murderous doll can add two collectible editions from the Chucky franchise to their display shelves. Chucky: The Complete Series Steelbook Edition is up for preorder for $60 (was $65) at Amazon. The Steelbook Edition Blu-ray releases alongside standard edition Blu-ray and DVD collections this Tuesday, September 23.

While you’re picking up Chucky: The Complete Series, make sure to check out the Child’s Play Limited Edition Steelbook. Exclusive to Amazon and slated to launch October 7, this collectible edition of the franchise’s original 1988 film has already sold out multiple times since preorders opened, but it’s back in stock as of September 21.

Chucky: The Complete Series includes all 24 episodes of Syfy’s awesome TV series across six Blu-ray discs. Syfy canceled the show last fall, a few months after airing the third season. If you’re a fan of the movies and haven’t watched the show, we’d highly recommend it. The series is a sequel to the 2017 film Cult of Chucky. And while it leans more into the comedy, Chucky still commits plenty of gruesome murders. Plus, the show retains Brad Dourif as the voice of Chucky.

The artwork on the steelbook’s front cover looks cool, though it’s not a brand-new design. The image of Chucky sitting against a school locker was first used to promote Season 1, but with “Wanna Play” written in blood instead of “The Complete Series.” The back of the case features polaroid pictures with characters and references. When you open the steelbook, you’re peering inside Chucky’s locker. Along with more pictures, there’s a bloody knife, because the Biology and Literature textbooks wronged him, apparently.

Like many TV series with physical editions, Chucky has only ever been available on 1080p Blu-ray. The discs support Dolby Audio and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1. The list of bonus features is a light, but you’ll still find deleted scenes on all six discs along with a featurette called The Legacy of Chucky. In total, the series runs close to 19 hours.

As mentioned, Chucky: The Complete Series also has a standard Blu-ray edition for $50 (was $55) and a DVD box set for $40 (was $45). It’s also worth noting that all three seasons are available on Blu-ray. You’d spend roughly $55 total if you purchased each season individually instead.

Relive the film that started it all with the Child’s Play Limited Edition Steelbook. It includes both 4K Blu-ray and standard Blu-ray copies of the movie, with the 4K scan created from the original camera negative. You’ll get a chilling steelbook featuring a close-up shot of Chucky, while a third disc (standard Blu-ray) is loaded with bonus features. Here’s what’s included:

Chucky: The Complete Series Limited Edition Steelbook (Blu-ray)

All seven films in the original Chucky series as well as the 2019 reboot are available on 4K Blu-ray. The second and third films released in 2022 alongside the original, while the remaining four–all of which abandoned the Child’s Play moniker for Chucky–launched in 2023. If you want a complete “matching” set, the editions below come with cardboard sleeves and have the same style of cover art.

All eight movies are also available on Blu-ray for less than $10 each–though if you want all of them, it makes more sense to buy the Blu-ray box set detailed below and pair it with the 2019 reboot separately for $9.50.

The original film series is also available in box set format on Blu-ray and DVD for cheap. Chucky 7-Movie Collection on Blu-ray is $42.49 (was $60) at Amazon. In 2023, Arrow Video released a 4K Blu-ray box set called The Chucky Ultimate 8-Movie Collection. It has the original seven movies and the 2019 reboot in 4K with support for Dolby Vision and HDR10. The box set wasn’t released in the US, but it’s region-free and available on Amazon from a third-party seller.

The Pittsburgh Steelers held on to defeat the New England Patriots 21-14 on the road. With the game on the line, New England faced a fourth-and-1 with just over a minute remaining but failed to convert.

Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers threw for 139 yards and two touchdowns, and Patriots signal-caller Drake Maye had 268 passing yards and two scores. Rodgers’ first touchdown pass gave him 509 for his career, passing Brett Favre for the fourth most in NFL history. Pittsburgh forced five turnovers, including four fumbles.

The Steelers posted references to actors with Boston ties, including Mark Wahlberg from the movie “Ted” (second slide) and an edit with Matt Damon in “Good Will Hunting.” Damon acts as the Steelers, showing a “W” to the Patriots in the famous “How do you like them apples?” scene, while Steelers hats were edited on Wahlberg and the film’s famous teddy bear. The team also shared a video of a “W” on wheels being parked at Harvard.

The Carolina Panthers won for the first time this season, and it came in dominating fashion.

Carolina blanked the Atlanta Falcons for its first shutout victory since Week 11 of the 2020 season (20-0 over the Detroit Lions), according to ESPN Research. The Panthers forced three Falcons turnovers, including two interceptions from quarterback Michael Penix Jr. Carolina quarterback Bryce Young threw for 121 yards with a rushing score.

Carolina’s win came with a petty troll aimed at the Falcons’ nickname and a reference to a post from earlier in the week. The Panthers also left their footprints on the Falcons’ all-white uniform post.

In arguably the most shocking upset of the season, the Cleveland Browns defeated the Green Bay Packers at home.

Green Bay seemed in control with 27 seconds remaining and a 43-yard field goal on deck. However, Cleveland blocked the kick from Brandon McManus and recovered it to set up the offense at its 47-yard line. Browns kicker Andre Szmyt secured the victory moments later with a 55-yard field goal as time expired.

The stunning win came with a sliced cheese-themed troll. Cleveland resurfaced a viral video from its helmet reveal during the offseason when a photographer fell into the water. In this case, the Packers took the fall. The Browns also referenced a quote earlier in the week from Packers tackle Rasheed Walker.

The Jacksonville Jaguars secured a key divisional victory over the Houston Texans thanks to an interception late in the game.

Jacksonville took the lead with 1:48 left in the game, and Houston marched down the field before quarterback C.J. Stroud threw a pick. The loss moved the Texans to 0-3 for the first time since 2020.

The Jaguars focused on Texas for their petty posts, highlighting that “everything’s bigger” in Duval County — where they play — and throwing a Texans helmet into a virtual recycling bin.

The Seattle Seahawks left no doubt in their victory against the New Orleans Saints, jumping out to a 21-0 lead in the first quarter. The Seahawks led 38-6 at halftime and never looked back for their second straight win.

Seattle’s first 30-point victory since 2020 included 218 passing yards and two touchdowns from Sam Darnold, while Kenneth Walker III ran for two scores. Meanwhile, quarterback Spencer Rattler threw the Saints’ lone touchdown of the game to tight end Jack Stoll.

The Seahawks had multiple references to New Orleans in their posts. First, they mentioned the rich history of jazz in the city, then poked fun at the Louisiana-Cajun spelling of “go.”

Ben Johnson’s first win as an NFL head coach was convincing as the Chicago Bears had a wire-to-wire victory over the Dallas Cowboys.

Chicago quarterback Caleb Williams threw for 298 yards and tied his career-high with four touchdowns. Bears wide receiver Luther Burden III hauled in three catches for 101 yards and a touchdown — he is the youngest Bear with a 100-plus-yard receiving game since 1933, according to ESPN Research.

The big win came with a simple troll as the Bears put their own spin on the “How Bout Them Cowboys” rally cry.

The Los Angeles Chargers opened the season with three divisional games — and left undefeated.

Los Angeles kicker Cameron Dicker nailed a 43-yarder as time expired to beat the Denver Broncos. Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert threw for 300 yards and a score, while Broncos signal-caller Bo Nix had 153 passing yards and a touchdown.

The Chargers are the third team since division realignment in 2002 to start a season 3-0 with all wins against division opponents, according to ESPN Research. They made sure to boast their divisional wins, while also stopping a Bronco from entering their “Club W.”

Corpse Bride Limited Edition Steelbook Preorders Discounted, Releases This Week

Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride launches on 4K Blu-ray for the first time on September 23. The cult-classic stop-motion animated movie is celebrating its 20th anniversary with two different editions, including a Limited Edition Steelbook with a collectible steelbook case and decorative sleeve. Burton fans can preorder Corpse Bride’s Limited Edition Steelbook for $30 (was $35) at Amazon and Walmart. The standard 4K Blu-ray edition is up for grabs for only $23.79 at Amazon and Walmart.

This has been a popular Steelbook Edition–it sold out for the first time in July before the official artwork was even revealed–and has been listed for as high as $45.49 at both retailers. If you already preordered from Amazon or Walmart, your order total will be adjusted to reflect the lowest price offered before launch ($30). Burton fans can also preorder the new Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Limited Edition Steelbook for $30 (was $35). The Beetlejuice sequel’s collectible edition releases the same day as Corpse Bride.

Corpse Bride’s Limited Edition Steelbook continues a trend we’ve seen more of recently by including a transparent sleeve with artwork that changes the look of the display case. With the sleeve on, as shown above, Emily Merrimack’s eyes are closed, and she’s surrounded by butterflies. When you remove the sleeve, the Corpse Bride’s eyes open and the butterflies disappear, leaving the night sky background clear besides the full moon.

The back of the steelbook features Victor Van Dort, the man who unwittingly marries Emily (according to her, at least). More undead characters are featured on the interior covers, including General Wellington and Bonejangles.

Corpse Bride’s standard 4K Blu-ray mirrors the Steelbook Edition in terms of on-disc content and technical specs. Both editions come with one 4K Blu-ray disc and a voucher for the digital edition via Movies Anywhere.

The 4K restoration includes HDR10 and supports Dolby Atmos surround sound. Along with the film, fans can watch a bunch of bonus content, including retrospectives, featurettes, interviews, and more. Special features are on the disc regardless of which edition you choose, but they aren’t rendered in 4K.

Corpse Bride Limited Edition Steelbook

Corpse Bride is the dark tale of Victor Van Dort (Johnny Depp), a young bachelor roped into a wedding of convenience to his bride-to-be, Victoria Everglot (Emily Watson). After a series of incidents result in Victor accidentally marrying a deceased woman named Emily (Helena Bonham Carter), he must find a way to escape the Land of the Dead, help Emily move on.

While Burton’s work spans multiple genres and decades, each film carries his signature style and visual atmosphere, and if you’re looking to check out more of his catalog, many of his films are available on Blu-ray at Amazon. Burton made his directorial debut with Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure, and he followed up it with several other cult-classic movies throughout the 1980s and 1990s, such as A Nightmare Before Christmas, Beetlejuice, and Mars Attacks. He also directed two of the best Batman films ever, in 1989’s Batman and its sequel, Batman Returns. Both films are available in a four-film 4K Blu-ray collection alongside Batman Forever and Batman & Robin for only $33 (was $90) at Amazon.
