Streaming star IShowSpeed has cooked up an AI-powered VTuber to roast his audience and keep them entertained while he catches Z’s during his 24/7 tour through the United States.
‘VTubers‘ are content creators who use virtual avatars to represent themselves on-screen rather than showing their real faces. It’s a growing niche in the creator space and a popular way for streamers to keep themselves anonymous through larger-than-life characters.
Some of the world’s most popular online entertainers have dipped their toes into the VTubing scene over the years, including names like Pokimane, Ludwig, and Kai Cenat — and now, even IShowSpeed is getting in on the action.

“Ain’t gonna lie, dude delivers pennies faster than his own punchlines,” the AI joked, referencing Ryan’s viral journey across the US starting with just one penny in 2022. “Ryan, you cool, but this a roast. Deal with it!”
Fans were instantly taken by the hilarious, foul-mouthed AI, with some calling it “insane” and a “good idea.”
“Okay this is wild… an AI version of you roasting chat while you sleep? Insane how tech is blending with streaming now. Kinda creepy, kinda hilarious, but mostly just impressive,” one wrote on X.

“Bro ahead of the game,” another praised.
Streamers have found increasingly creative ways to keep viewers locked in while they sleep during marathon broadcasts. In 2024, Twitch star Kai Cenat famously conscripted the help of TikTok-famous Miles Morales impersonator ‘leaks._.world’ and fellow ‘NPC’ TikToker Pinkydoll to react to messages and donations from chat while he napped.

Speed’s AI VTuber isn’t the first virtual creator powered by AI, either; Neuro-sama is an AI-powered virtual Twitch streamer who responds to chat, plays games, and even sings. She boasts nearly 1M followers on her channel, which was created in 2015, and funnily enough, she’s also known for roasting her fellow internet-famous entertainers.
