NFT sales double to $256m, Hypurrr tops the list

by admin October 4, 2025

NFT sales volume more than doubled, surging by 103.11% to reach $256.9 million. This is a notable turnaround from last week’s $84.6 million in sales volume.

CryptoSlam data shows:

  • The number of NFT buyers jumped by 18.25% to 694,348
  • Sellers increased by 17.77% to 584,235.
  • NFT transactions dipped by 8.67% to 1,874,619.

Bitcoin’s (BTC) rally to the $122,000 level has energized the entire crypto market. Ethereum (ETH) has followed suit, climbing to $4,500.

The global crypto market cap now stands at $4.2 trillion, up from last week’s $3.78 trillion. This bullish momentum has spilled over into the NFT sector, which has posted impressive gains.

Hypurrr dominates NFT collections

The Hypurrr collection has emerged as the top performer this week, generating $88.77 million in sales across 850 transactions.

The collection attracted 406 buyers and 645 sellers. Hypurrr also dominated the top individual NFT sales, occupying four of the top five spots.

Bitcoin Futures Buyers Step Up: Taker Buy Volume Tops $1.8B

by admin October 3, 2025

Trusted Editorial content, reviewed by leading industry experts and seasoned editors. Ad Disclosure

Bitcoin bulls are mounting a strong offensive as the world’s largest cryptocurrency reclaimed the $120,000 level, sparking renewed speculation about an imminent push toward fresh all-time highs. After weeks of uncertainty and volatile swings, BTC has regained momentum, fueling optimism across the market. Traders and long-term holders alike are closely watching whether this rally can break decisively above the previous peak and confirm the continuation of the bull cycle.

However, not all analysts are convinced. Some caution that if Bitcoin fails to secure new highs soon, the market could face another wave of profit-taking, introducing downside risk just as bullish sentiment builds. The $125,000 zone is emerging as the critical resistance level that could determine BTC’s trajectory in the short term.

Top analyst Maartunn has highlighted one of the most important signals in the current rally: Bitcoin futures buyers are stepping up. Since the monthly open, taker buy volume has exceeded sell volume by billions, showing aggressive positioning on the long side. This development reflects growing conviction among leveraged traders, but also raises the stakes for the market if momentum stalls.

Futures Buyers Step Up as Bitcoin Tests Highs

Maartunn shared key data showing that since the monthly open, taker buy volume has exceeded sell volume by nearly $1.8 billion. This marks a significant imbalance in favor of aggressive buyers and signals that futures traders are stepping up with conviction. In crypto markets, such an imbalance often highlights a strong wave of long positioning, where traders use leverage to bet on further upside.

Bitcoin Net Taker Volume (Binance) | Source: Maartunn

This aggressive positioning comes at a pivotal moment, with Bitcoin consolidating above the $120,000 level. The surge in taker buy volume reflects a growing appetite to capture momentum as BTC edges closer to all-time highs. However, Maartunn emphasizes that while leveraged positioning can fuel sharp rallies, sustainable uptrends generally require confirmation from spot demand. Spot volume represents real capital flowing into the asset, and historically, bull runs with deep spot support have proven more resilient.

That said, crypto history also shows exceptions. There have been instances where leverage-driven moves extend trends, forcing short squeezes and pushing prices higher even without robust spot inflows. If Bitcoin continues to attract aggressive long positioning, the market could see a rapid extension toward new highs, even before spot demand fully catches up.

For now, the imbalance in futures markets paints a picture of bullish conviction but also heightened risk. If momentum continues, leveraged longs could fuel Bitcoin’s push past $125,000. But if the move falters, cascading liquidations may bring volatility back into the spotlight.

BTC Price Analysis

Bitcoin is trading at $120,539, holding strong after reclaiming the critical $117,500 resistance level, which now acts as support. The 12-hour chart shows a sharp upward move from lows near $110,000, signaling renewed bullish momentum. The breakout above both the 50-day and 100-day moving averages confirms strength, while the 200-day moving average remains well below, reinforcing the overall bullish structure.

BTC testing critical resistance around $120K | Source: BTCUSDT chart on TradingView

For now, the key test lies ahead at the $121,000–$122,000 zone, where BTC previously faced rejection in mid-August. A clean breakout above this level would open the door for a retest of all-time highs near $125,000. If bulls maintain momentum, this could signal the start of another aggressive leg higher.

On the downside, $117,500 has become the critical line to watch. If Bitcoin falls back below this zone, the rally could lose steam, with potential retracement toward $114,000 and the mid-range supports. Volume has picked up during this surge, which strengthens the case for a continuation, but overextension in the short term cannot be ruled out.

OpenAI Tops SpaceX as World’s Most Valuable Private Company With $500 Billion Valuation

by admin October 3, 2025

In brief

  • OpenAI’s $6.6 billion employee share sale valued the firm at $500 billion.
  • The Sale makes OpenAI the world’s most valuable private company, topping SpaceX.
  • Secondary deal aids staff retention amid Meta’s nine-figure pay offers.

OpenAI has overtaken SpaceX to become the world’s most valuable private company after a $6.6 billion employee share sale at a $500 billion valuation—the milestone underscoring the investor frenzy fueling the artificial-intelligence boom.

According to a Bloomberg report, the secondary sale lets current and former staff who had held shares for at least two years sell stock to a handful of companies, including Thrive Capital, SoftBank Group, Dragoneer Investment Group, Abu Dhabi’s MGX, and T. Rowe Price.

The deal marks OpenAI’s second major tender offer in under a year, following a $1.5 billion SoftBank transaction last November. In January, the Japanese conglomerate was reportedly in talks to earmark up to $25 billion for OpenAI.

SoftBank’s U.S.-traded shares (SFTBY) rose 1.7% to $66.04 on Thursday after news of the OpenAI share sale, reflecting investor enthusiasm for its AI-linked deals.

The $500 billion figure reflects a steep rise for OpenAI from earlier in the year, when the ChatGPT developer was valued at $300 billion following a $40 billion funding round led by Softbank in March. With this latest move, the company now sits ahead of SpaceX—whose own valuation is estimated near $400 billion—putting OpenAI at the top of the private company universe.

Despite scrutiny around the rollout of GPT-5, investor confidence remains undimmed. In September, OpenAI and Nvidia unveiled a strategic infrastructure partnership: OpenAI plans to deploy at least 10 gigawatts of Nvidia systems, and Nvidia will invest up to $100 billion progressively as each gigawatt is deployed. Jensen Huang described it as part of “bringing AI infrastructure from the labs into the world.”

It also coincides with the ongoing Stargate partnership between OpenAI, Softbank, and Oracle to build out America’s AI infrastructure backed by the Trump Administration.

The sale also gives employees liquidity that could help the company fend off nine-figure pay packages from rivals such as Meta, which is aggressively hiring for its new Superintelligence Labs.

The timing also coincides with structural moves at OpenAI. The company lifted its capped-profit limit in May, all the while facing continued legal pressure from Elon Musk. An OpenAI co-founder, Musk has sued the company on multiple occasions. Musk has accused OpenAI of abandoning its original nonprofit mission and allegedly attempting to steal xAI data and trade secrets.

DX Terminal Tops NFT Sales Count in September as Base Dominates Top 10

by admin September 30, 2025

Ethereum layer-2 network Base’s non-fungible token (NFT) ecosystem took center stage in September, recording the highest sales count among collections, according to DappRadar data.

NFTs on Base captured five of the top 10 spots by sales count in September, with DX Terminal and BasePaint securing the first and second ranks. The strong showing highlighted Base’s rapid ascent as a hub for experimental NFT projects, edging into territory long dominated by Ethereum and Polygon.

Despite a surge in sales of Base NFTs, DappRadar data showed that trading volumes remained concentrated on Polygon and Ethereum collections. Polygon-based Courtyard led the month with $43.9 million, while Ethereum-based Moonbirds and CryptoPunks followed with $34 million and $25.8 million, respectively.

Meanwhile, Base’s DX Terminal took the number four spot in trading volume with $25.5 million, showcasing a nearly 1,700% surge, according to DappRadar.

AI NFTs take center stage in September

DX Terminal stood out as the driving force behind Base’s rise in the NFT charts. The project recorded 1.27 million sales, an over 1,000% increase compared to the previous month. It also had over 200,000 traders transacting with the NFTs in September.

The project introduces a gaming format where NFTs act as AI-powered trader agents inside a retro-futuristic market simulation. Each NFT represents an autonomous character with distinct traits and behaviors. These characters compete to amass in-game wealth and status while reacting to player prompts, rival firms and non-playable characters.

Unlike traditional NFT games offering play-to-earn (P2E) mechanics, DX Terminal doesn’t offer direct token rewards or any real-world payouts. While the game has in-game tokens, they are not tied to real-world monetary value.

In May, DX Terminal said that its in-game native currency, WEBCOIN, existed offchain and was internally managed.

“The in-game currency holds no real-world value, and any external tokens claiming affiliation are unofficial,” the team said.

Gaming NFTs defy broader market downturn

Among the top 10 NFTs by trading volume, only DX Terminal and Immutable’s Guild of Guardians Heroes NFTs, tied to a role-playing game (RPG), posted gains in September.

DappRadar data showed that blue-chip collections such as CryptoPunks, Pudgy Penguins and the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) saw trading volumes drop by about 50% to 60% over the past month.

Even Courtyard and Moonbirds, which ranked first and second by trading volume during the month, posted declines of around 25% and 13.6%, respectively.

PayPal Stablecoin Tops $1.3 Billion as PYUSD Expands to Tron, Avalanche

by admin September 21, 2025

In brief

  • LayerZero extended PYUSD’s presence to nine additional blockchains.
  • PYUSD0 tokens represent a bridged version of PayPal’s stablecoin.
  • The stablecoin had a market capitalization of $1.3 billion on Thursday.

PayPal’s PYUSD stablecoin expanded to nine new blockchains on Thursday after LayerZero, an interoperability protocol, unveiled additional support for the token in a blog post.

The stablecoin, which was introduced two years ago, can now be used on Abstract, Aptos, Avalanche, Ink, Sei, Stable, and Tron, LayerZero said. The expansion was enabled through Stargate, a bridge connecting over 80 blockchains that was acquired by LayerZero last month.

PayPal’s first payment service debuted nearly a decade before Bitcoin’s first block was mined, but the firm has faced stiff competition within the cryptosphere. Stablecoin issuers Tether and Circle have had years to refine their products, but PYUSD is still fairly new.

Paypal’s stablecoin had a market capitalization of $1.3 billion on Thursday, according to crypto data provider CoinGecko. Although that represented an all-time high in terms of PYUD’s adoption, Tether and Circle’s stablecoins were worth $171 billion and $74 million, respectively.

PYUSD’s footprint may be relatively small, but it’s still among the top options for corporate users, according to a recent survey conducted by EY-Parthennon. Among respondents, 36% of corporations said they use PYUSD, making it more popular than Ethena’s USDe and Sky Protocol’s USDS. Both stablecoins have larger market capitalizations than PYUSD.

When bridged to various networks through Stargate, PayPal’s stablecoin is represented through PYUSD0 tokens. The dynamic mirrors wrapped Bitcoin, with funds moved outside its native ecosystem represented by tokens like WBTC and cbBTC.

“Innovations like this are essential for creating the seamless, interoperable financial infrastructure that users and developers demand,” David Weber, head of ecosystem for PayPal USD said in a statement, noting that the stablecoin sector recently grew past $270 million.

PayPal’s product is powered by LayerZero’s Omnichain Fungible Token (OFT) Standard. Tether’s USDT0 token uses the same infrastructure, as well as the Frontier Stable Token, a stablecoin introduced by the state of Wyoming last month.

Earlier this week, PayPal said that users would be able to make peer-to-peer payments in Bitcoin, Ethereum, and PYUSD using a new tool. The product, called PayPal Links, is expected to roll out in the U.S. first, while expanding to overseas markets in the coming months.

XRP, the third largest cryptocurrency by market cap, has received positive updates within the last 24 hours.

Yesterday, digital fund asset manager REX Osprey announced that XRP ETF XRPR, the first U.S.-listed ETF offering spot exposure to XRP, was set to go live, offering investors a way to access XRP through an ETF structure.

According to Grayscale CEO Peter Mintzberg, Grayscale Digital Large Cap Fund (GDLC) has been approved for trading along with the Generic Listing Standards. This move would bring the “first” multi crypto asset ETP to market with Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Solana and Cardano.

In light of this, Grayscale Digital Large Cap Fund has filed a registration statement (including a prospectus) with the SEC for the offering.

In the most recent news, Ripple announced its partnership with DBS Bank and Franklin Templeton to establish repo markets powered by tokenized collateral and stablecoins.

Don’t FUD XRP

Following recent developments for XRP Ledger and Ripple, Crypto trader Oscar Ramos warned to not FUD XRP. FUD refers to fear, uncertainty and doubt.

Ramos wrote, “Do not FUD XRP or you will regret it” highlighting Ripple’s new groundbreaking partnership beneficial for the XRP Ledger.

DBS, Franklin Templeton and Ripple have announced a partnership to provide institutional investors with trading and lending solutions powered by tokenized money market funds on XRP Ledger and stablecoins, including Ripple USD (RLUSD).

Ramos predicts XRP going to $10 next, boosted by positive developments: “You don’t see it yet, but XRP is going to $10 Next.”

At press time, XRP was trading up 3.59% in the last 24 hours to $3.12, extending its recovery from a low of $2.95 on Sept. 15 into the third day. XRP has risen well above $3, which coincides with the daily SMA 50.

Crawford, a four-division world champion, put his name in the history books by becoming the first men’s fighter in the four-belt era (since 2007) to become an undisputed champion in three weight classes (junior welterweight, welterweight and super middleweight).

Crawford had fought most of his career between 135 and 147 pounds. He moved up a weight class to 154 in August 2024 and defeated Israil Madrimov to win the WBA junior middleweight title before taking a year to build up for the fight against Canelo.

Canelo is also a four-division champion. His only three losses are to Crawford, Floyd Mayweather in 2013 and Dmitry Bivol in 2022, when Canelo moved up to light heavyweight to challenge for a world title. The loss to Crawford snapped a six-fight winning streak.

Oracle’s Late AI Bet Sends Shares Soaring, Ellison Tops Musk as World’s Richest Man

by admin September 10, 2025

In brief

  • Oracle’s AI pivot pays off: Shares surged over 30% as the company projected $455 billion in booked future revenue and faster cloud growth.
  • Oracle’s neutral AI stance and ability to run models like ChatGPT inside its database stack drew major enterprise demand.
  • Founder Larry Ellison’s fortune swelled by nearly $100 billion, making him the world’s richest person.

Oracle Corp. stock rocketed as much as 40% in intraday trading—a rally so dramatic, it appears to have set a record for any company valued north of $500 billion. The trigger? A bold AI strategy finally paying off.

At the heart of today’s fireworks is Oracle’s up-close-and-personal pivot into artificial intelligence infrastructure. The company revealed that its Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) business now expects massive revenue growth: CEO Safra Catz said OCI revenue is expected to reach $18 billion in the current fiscal year, then grow to $32 billion in fiscal year 2027, and eventually $144 billion in the following three years.

But numbers alone don’t explain the thrill. The real signal: a massive pipeline of future business. Oracle’s “remaining performance obligations”—essentially what’s been booked but not yet recognized—soared 359% year-over-year to $455 billion, verging on a half-trillion-dollar backlog, the company reported.

CEO Safra Catz didn’t hide the enthusiasm, stating that most of the multiyear growth is already locked in, and more multibillion-dollar contracts are expected in the coming months.

“Over the next few months, we expect to sign-up several additional multi-billion-dollar customers, and RPO is likely to exceed half-a-trillion dollars,” said CEO Safra Catz.

AI is not just a buzzword—it’s infrastructure

Oracle’s AI attractiveness comes from its strategic alliances and neutral positioning in the AI arms race. It’s part of Stargate, a massive infrastructure initiative with OpenAI and SoftBank, giving Oracle preferred status as a compute-provider-of-choice.

Crucially, Oracle claims to offer AI inferencing capabilities, running models like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Grok directly within its database stack, a convenience hyperscalers have yet to match. That unique positioning—neutral, integrated, and AI-enabled—has turned once-lagging Oracle into a major contender in AI infrastructure.

The ripple effect

In one of those rare moments where investor glee merges with spectacle, Larry Ellison vaulted past Elon Musk to become the world’s richest person, thanks to the stock surge. His net worth swelled by around $100 billion to roughly $393–400 billion.

Not everyone’s as ecstatic as Mrs. Ellison: Analysts caution the aggressive capex—Oracle expects to spend $35 billion to build data-center and supply AI chips—could dent free-cash-flow in the near term and pressure margins.

AI was the marquee act, but Oracle also highlighted four multibillion-dollar contracts with three different customers in its latest quarter. That helped lift first-quarter revenue by 12% to $14.93 billion, including a 28% jump in cloud revenue to $7.2 billion.

Analysts at Piper Sandler and Bank of America weren’t shy either, raising price targets and upgrading the stock—noting the AI-driven backlog as “too strong to be summed up simply as a blow-out.”

The bottom line

Oracle’s AI pivot has become an investor tidal wave, backed by real contracts, locked-in backlog, and infrastructure ambitions that others can’t match—at least right now.

Whether the swell leads to a sea change or tidal recession depends on execution. But for now, Oracle has Wall Street enthralled, and its AI story is delivering more than just talking points—it’s delivering stock market fireworks. And if that’s not a mixed metaphor, then nothing is.
