Donkey Kong Bananza Is Getting A Roguelike Mode With DK Island & Emerald Rush DLC Today
Game Updates

Donkey Kong Bananza Is Getting A Roguelike Mode With DK Island & Emerald Rush DLC Today

by admin September 13, 2025

Announced during today’s Nitnendo Direct, Donkey Kong Bananza is getting DLC today with DK Island & Emerald Rush. DK Island is a new level modeled after Donkey Kong’s home from Donkey Kong Country, complete with his giant head. Donkey Kong’s family will also be hanging out on the island.

If you’ve beaten the game, Void Kong will also offer to hire you, which leads to the Emerald Rush mode. Though not explicitly called a roguelike mode by Nintendo, it allows DK and Pauline to partake in runs where they have to collect emeralds in a certain amount of time. Collecting fossils and Banandium gems let’s DK choose upgrades that he can use on that run. Along with being able to play the mode on DK Island, the other levels will also have Emerald Rush runs. Performing well in Emerald Rush awards new fashion options and statues that you can place around DK’s home.

Along with the DLC being available today, a demo for Donkey Kong Bananza will also be available. You can read Game Informer’s Donkey Kong Bananza review by following the link.

by admin September 12, 2025

  • Dogecoin (DOGE) price in green as market recovers, BONK and PENGU follow
  • Bitcoin (BTC), BNB, XRP lagging

Today, on Sept. 12, 2025, the cryptocurrency market is surging. Meme coins, normally the most volatile altcoins, are leading the way here. At the same time, the biggest cryptos are demonstrating anemic performance.

Dogecoin (DOGE) price in green as market recovers, BONK and PENGU follow

Today, the Dogecoin (DOGE) price eclipsed the crucial level of $0.25. The upsurge expanded the rally, pushing weekly gains over 25% for Dogecoin (DOGE).

Bonk (BONK), another major community-driven cryptocurrency, added 7.7% overnight. The price of BONK reached $0.00002515 on surging trading volume.

Pudgy Penguins (PENGU), a meme coin associated with the eponymous NFTs collection, added 5.6% in 24 hours. With the PENGU price hitting $0.0356, the capitalization targets $650 million.

MemeCore (M), a new meme crypto, added 15% overnight, becoming the fastest-growing asset in the top 100. At the same time, the trading volume remains low. M’s price reached an all-time high at $2.28 today.

Bitcoin (BTC), BNB, XRP lagging

PUMP, a core native cryptocurrency of Solana’s largest no-code meme coin launcher, is also among the best performers. The PUMP price increased by 7.8% and reached $0.005921. PUMP market capitalization surged past $2 billion.

By contrast, the largest cryptocurrencies demonstrate apathy. Bitcoin (BTC), the first crypto, is up by 0.6%. The BTC price is struggling to hold above the crucial $115,000 level.

BNB and XRP are both up by 1%. Both crypto heavyweights managed to protect crucial levels; BNB stabilized over $900, while XRP stays above $3.

Ethereum (ETH) and Solana (SOL) performed better. The second cryptocurrency added 2.8% and reached $4,359, while Solana (SOL) expanded its rally over $239 on growing trading volume.

Stay Ahead with Our Immediate Analysis of Today’s Bitcoin & Bitcoin Hyper Insights

Check out our Live Bitcoin Hyper Updates for September 11, 2025!

In 2010, Bitcoin was worth a few cents. One year later, it hit $20. In six years, it was $17,000, and now it’s sitting at over $100K, after hitting an ATH of $123K in July.

Historically, if you’d invested in Bitcoin at launch, you’d have an ROI of 188,643,000%. The likes of Mastercard, JP Morgan, and scores of S&P 500 companies are buying Bitcoin in droves. There’s never been anything like Bitcoin before, and investors are waking up to that reality.

However, Bitcoin is getting old for modern standards. No dApps, no smart contracts, and almost non-existent DeFi scalability. It needs an upgrade. And that’s what Bitcoin Hyper ($HYPER) is here to do with Layer-2 technology.

Click to learn more about Bitcoin Hyper

Bitcoin Hyper ($HYPER) is a crypto project planning to launch the fastest Layer-2 chain for Bitcoin. Its goal – to bring Bitcoin’s blockchain to modern standards. This means compatibility with dApps, smart contracts, and seamless DeFi programmability for developers.

The L2 will run on a Canonical Bridge, combined with the Solana Virtual Machine (SVM), for native compatibility with Solana. You’ll be able to build token programs, LP logic, oracles, games, NFT infrastructure, DAOs, and much more. All without reinventing the wheel.

To engage with the L2, you’ll deposit $BTC to a designated address monitored by the Canonical Bridge. The Relay Program verifies the details, and then mints an equivalent number of wrapped $BTC on the L2. You can also withdraw your original $BTC at any time.

If you’re looking for the newest insights on Bitcoin and Bitcoin Hyper, you’re in the right place.

We update this page regularly throughout the day with the latest insider insights for Bitcoin maxis and Bitcoin Hyper fans. Keep refreshing to stay ahead of the pack!

HOW TO BUY $HYPER

Today’s Bitcoin Technical Analysis

Experts believed that after a deep consolidation in August, Bitcoin would successfully turn a corner in September – and the ‘digital gold’ is doing exactly that.

$BTC is up over 5.5% this month so far, including a solid 2% gain yesterday, when the token broke past the key $113K resistance level – one that had pushed the price lower on three separate occasions between August 28 and September 9. That’s now behind us.

Even better, Bitcoin has reclaimed all major moving averages on the daily chart, with the price currently trading comfortably above the 100, 50, and 20 EMAs.

Following this latest breakout, the next likely target is $117K – a 2.5% rise from current levels – after which Bitcoin could charge toward its all-time highs, potentially even pushing beyond thanks to the upcoming rate cut.

As Africa Embraces Crypto, Bitcoin Hyper Finds Its Moment

September 11, 2025 • 10:00 UTC

Sub-Saharan Africa is quietly becoming one of crypto’s biggest growth stories. It’s now the third-fastest growing region globally, with over $200B in on-chain volume in the past year.

What’s driving this growth isn’t just big institutions; it’s everyday users. More than 8% of transfers were under $10K, showing how crypto is becoming a practical tool for regular people navigating tough financial conditions.

Source: Chainalysis

This is exactly the kind of environment where Bitcoin Hyper ($HYPER) fits in. With over $15M raised in presale, HYPER is designed to be a high-yield $BTC layer 2 that’s fast, borderless, and inflation-resistant. It’s built for people who need crypto to work, not just as an investment, but as a tool.

Find out why our analysts predict $HYPER could reach $0.32 by the end of 2025.

Bitcoin Hyper Presale Breaks $15M as It Promises Faster, Smarter Bitcoin

September 11, 2025 • 10:00 UTC

Bitcoin is still the heavyweight of crypto, but using it for everyday payments remains a challenge. Transactions can take minutes or even hours to confirm, and fees often spike so high that sending $20 in $BTC might cost nearly as much in charges.

With throughput capped at around seven transactions per second, Bitcoin simply can’t compete with modern payment networks like Visa, which averages around 65K TPS.

Add the lack of smart contract support, and it’s clear why Bitcoin has been sidelined from DeFi, gaming, and meme coins.

This is where Bitcoin Hyper ($HYPER) steps in. Built as a high-speed, low-cost Layer 2 running on the Solana Virtual Machine, it promises near-instant transactions, low fees, and full programmability.

Its Canonical Bridge makes $BTC usable for payments, DeFi, and Web3 apps while keeping Bitcoin’s legendary security intact.

With its presale already surpassing $15M at $0.012895 per token, Bitcoin Hyper is quickly being called one of 2025’s best crypto presales.

Check out our price prediction guide for $HYPER to see how high analysts think it could climb in 2025.

The original PlayStation turns 30 years old in America today, so here are some nice stories about it

by admin September 10, 2025

Feeling spritely? This shouldn’t help: the original PlayStation console was released 30 years ago today in the United States, on 9th September 1995. It was a machine that would change gaming forever.

We celebrated the 30th anniversary of PS1 last December because that’s when it was first introduced, in Japan, on 3rd December 1994. Sony’s debut console was released in Europe at a similar time to America, on 29th September 1995.

We love an indulgent 90s nostalgia binge here, and Jim’s video on the legacy of WipeOut 2097 and the PS1 is a great watch to scratch that particular itch with. He’s really funny and handsome too.Watch on YouTube

It’s such a momentous milestone we dedicated a week to it, writing a collection of articles about the grey, oversized Discman-style box. The articles ranged from love-letters to WipEout and Tekken, to interviews with former PlayStation executive Shawn Layden, who was there at the time (which is why his photograph is in black and white).

We also asked for your memories of PS1, which you provided in abundance – there were more than 300 comments. And I read them all. And they’re all lovely; funny, heartfelt, poignant. Prepare yourself: it’s an emotional ride.

As the regional reverberations of the PS1 anniversary are felt again, I thought I’d resurface some pieces you’ve maybe not read.

Apple’s iPhone 17 Event Is Today. Here’s How to Watch

by admin September 9, 2025

Apple’s annual fall iPhone launch event is here. The keynote kicks off at 10 a.m. PT. Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 17 lineup, which could include a slimmer version of the phone, as well as the Apple Watch Series 11 and the AirPods Pro 3.

The invite, which Apple sent on Aug. 26, shows the title “awe dropping,” with a dynamic Apple logo that seems to reference Siri’s colorful glow.

Watch this: iPhone Air Is a Wild Card – and Starts a Big Change for Apple

06:39

There’s also an interactive element when you view the invite on Apple.com. With a finger (phone or tablet) or a mouse/trackpad pointer (computer), you can move across the logo and watch the colors go from a cool blue to a vivid orange, possibly evoking the Liquid Glass design element in iOS 26, which exhibits light-bending qualities across apps and functions. You can read more theories about what the fall event invite might signify.

The keynote will be held at Apple Park in Cupertino, California. CNET will be covering the announcements live, so be sure to follow along.

How to watch Apple’s iPhone 17 reveal

Technically, Apple has yet to confirm the iPhone 17, but the company typically unveils its latest handsets at its fall event.

You can tune into the iPhone 17 event by watching the official livestream on Apple’s website or via the livestream on Apple’s YouTube channel. Those streams are scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET. CNET’s reporters will also be on the ground and bringing you all the updates.

What might Apple be cooking up?

Rumors for the upcoming slate of iPhones have been plentiful. Stealing the spotlight is the supposed iPhone 17 Air, which could follow in the footsteps of Samsung’s sleek Galaxy S25 Edge and have a slim profile and lightweight design. The Pro model could get a scratch-resistant, antireflective display and an 8x telephoto lens, and the Pro Max could pack a bigger battery. The baseline iPhone 17 could also boast a higher refresh rate. It’s possible that all the phones may include an Apple-developed 5G modem called the C1 chip, which debuted on the iPhone 16E, as well as in-house Wi-Fi chips.

We also expect to learn more about the public rollout of iOS 26 later this fall. The new operating system features a Liquid Glass interface that brings a more transparent, lens-like look to the iPhone and other Apple devices. The Camera app also gets a more minimalistic design, Messages lets you create polls in group chats and a new screening tool can better detect spam texts. You can check out all the features coming to iOS 26.

Will there be a Siri overhaul?

What we might not hear as much about is the updated version of Siri that Apple unveiled at its Worldwide Developers Conference last year. The smarter version of the AI assistant has faced repeated delays and may not arrive until next year. But Apple could discuss other Apple Intelligence updates and features arriving on its new devices.

Watch CNET’s livestream

CNET’s reporters will be on the ground, bringing you all the latest updates and impressions of whatever Apple has in store. You can watch our livestream here starting at 9:30 a.m. PT/12:30 p.m. ET:

Why is BNB Down Today? Price Rise Cut Short by Market Sell-Off After Israeli Strike in Qatar

by admin September 9, 2025

BNB swung sharply between gains and losses in a volatile 24-hour stretch. The token dropped to an $872 low earlier before rallying to $884 and then seeing a sharp reversal wipe out those gains.

The initial drop took BNB from around $880.50 to a low of $871.99. From there, the token staged a comeback, peaking near $884.60 before selling pressure brought it back down to its current level at $873.6.

That rebound came on a wave of trading activity, with volume spiking to nearly 60,000 tokens, particularly around $876, a level that acted as key support during the session, according to CoinDesk Research’s technical analysis model.

However, things quickly turned around for the token, which fell more than $5 in just minutes on a volume spike that coincided with a broader market sell-off. That drop came after reports that Israel launched an attack against Hamas’ leadership in Qatar.

While the broader crypto market fell, the price of gold saw a bump that saw futures near a new record at $3,700 an ounce, while gold-backed cryptocurrencies PAXG and XAUT hit highs of before dropping back.

Meanwhile, CoinDesk Data’s latest Exchange Review report revealed that Binance saw $2.63 trillion in futures trading volume last month, a new monthly record. Along with Bybit and Crypto.com, it was one of the largest exchanges by spot trading volume.

BNB can be used to pay for trading fees on Binance, allowing users to get a 25% trading discount on fees being paid. It’s also the native token of the BNB Chain.

My machine gun-toting choo-choo will enlengthen and ponder whirling orbs in Trainatic, which is out today
Game Updates

My machine gun-toting choo-choo will enlengthen and ponder whirling orbs in Trainatic, which is out today

by admin September 8, 2025

If you peered into Edwin’s maw this morning, you might have seen that Trainatic’s out today, September 8th. Well, having now given its demo a go, I can waft away a bit more of the billowing steam of mystery for those standing on the platform who’re considering boarding.

There’s a thing you’ll say very quickly once you fire up either the demo or full version of this train-builder from developer Ryan Forrester, whose previous works include idle frog collector Croakoloco and cleaning sim Mess Quest. It’s the following: ‘Oh crikey, my train’s stopped already.’

You see, while the aim of the game is to build a train that can chug along for ages, the loco you start with runs out of fuel when it’s barely left the station. That’s ok, though. You’ve got a machine gun perched on the single car behind your engine, and you can use it to shoot some trees during your next trip. This, as well as just running over trees which are perched too close to the tracks (though that understandably damages your loco), is how you gather resources to upgrade the train.

With fuel being the limiting factor on journey length early doors, I invested in improvements to both capacity and efficiency for that off the bat. Soon, with help from an upgrade that let me add an extra car to my train, beginning the process of enlengthening, I had a fuel support carriage which would replenish a bit of fuel whenever I shot a tree with my gun.

From there, I began to upgrade the likes of my loco’s speed, its firepower, and its storage capacity. Some of the numbers assigned to these upgrades seemed a bit nebulous in terms of how exactly they corresponded to my loco’s performance on the tracks, but I didn’t much mind that given Trainatic’s relatively chill approach to things. As a result of what’s a bit of a grindy start, though everything’s simple and quick enough that it doesn’t drag, I started going on journeys that felt a bit less like brief jaunts down the road. That’s when I saw it.

A pinkish purple orb, spinning its way across the dark and earthy terrain of the woodland surrounding the tracks. Back at the station, a line from my faceless trainmaster, speculating about some strange power that could be linked to the neon interloper. Hmmm.

While I’ve unlocked automatic acceleration to go alongside the automatic trigger finger Trainatic offers, it’s not enough of an idler that I’ll be able to pursue this orbnigma while doing something far less important in another tab. So, my full attention will have to be on the train building, the task of taping together a Thomas the tank teeming with tech to ponder those damn orbs.

So far, the game’s steadily constructing what almost feels like a stripped-back rail roguelike, and one that’s worth at least hopping on for a free test ride. If you fancy doing so, you can find both the demo and full version of Trainatic on Steam, with the latter costing £3.99/$4.79/€4.71 as of writing, thanks to an offer running until September 22nd.

Crypto Price Today (September 5):BTC, ETH Stumbles, ENA, OKB, WLFI Gains

by admin September 8, 2025

The crypto market faced a sharp downturn on September 5, signaling growing caution among investors. The global crypto market cap fell 2.08% to $3.81 trillion. At the same time, trading volume dropped 23.06% to $114.55 billion.

Bitcoin’s price, which is the top crypto by market cap, took a hit, dropping 2.01% to settle at $110,873, with a 24-hour trading volume of $38.75 billion, as per CoinMarketCap. Ethereum didn’t fare much better, slipping 3.13% to $4,298.66, with $27.36 billion changing hands.

Despite these dips, both cryptocurrencies continue to lead the market, commanding 58.0% and 13.6% of the market share.

Top Gainers and Losers in the Market

Even though the market as a whole took a hit, a few altcoins managed to shine. Ethena (ENA) led the gainers as of writing, jumping up by 7.36%, hitting $0.7363. The token was backed by a trading volume of $1.38 billion.

OKB wasn’t far behind, climbing 6.33% to reach $192.00 with $340.48 million in trading activity. World Liberty Financial (WLF) followed, gaining 4.93% to $0.1967, thanks to nearly $933 million traded. Pyth Network (PYTH) saw a 4.18% boost to $0.1583, while Flare (FLR) had a smaller uptick of 2.69%.

However, several coins suffered heavy losses. Kaspa (KAS) led declines, plunging 7.90% to $0.07737 with $63.1 million traded. Aerodrome Finance (AERO) dropped 6.55% to $1.15.

Pudgy Penguins (PENGU) slipped 5.21% to $0.02879, with a relatively high $216.5 million turnover. Fartcoin (FARTCOIN) decreased by 4.87% to reach 0.7365, while Lido DAO (LDO) fell 4.84% to $1.16.

Market Sentiment and Investor Behavior

As for the Market Overview side, according to CoinMarketCap, the Fear and Greed Index is at 41 currently, showing a neutral sentiment. In contrast, the Altcoin Season Index is at 52, signifying a state where Bitcoin’s dominance is balanced with altcoin growth potential.

In the crypto ETF, there were outflows totaling $592.2 million, a sign of investors pulling back from digital assets. Volatility is still quite high, with Bitcoin’s implied volatility at 38.65 and Ethereum’s even higher at 69.24.

Open interest in derivatives has climbed to $937.39 billion in perpetual contracts and $3.83 billion in futures, showcasing high speculative activity.

The crypto market appears to be going through a bit of a rough period. The market’s sharp declines, ETF outflows, and mixed altcoin moves show rising caution.

Today, College Kids Get Ridiculously Drunk. In Medieval England, They Got Ridiculously Murderous

by admin September 1, 2025

What words come to mind when you think of the Middle Ages, also known as the medieval period? If you’re thinking “violence,” you’re not wrong (though I would have added “smelly”).

To investigate the spread of medieval violence, researchers in the U.S. and U.K. developed medieval “murder maps” of London, Oxford, and York by mapping out 355 murders between 1296 and 1398. They studied historic jury investigations into strange deaths, which describe when the attack took place, the location of the body, the murder weapon, and occasionally the reason behind it.

This approach revealed insightful patterns of 600- to 700-year-old urban violence—including the fact that university students were even more ridiculously troublesome than college kids today.

Armed, murderous students

“Homicides were highly concentrated in key nodes of urban life such as markets, squares, and thoroughfares,” in addition to such hotspots as waterfronts and ceremonial spaces, the researchers explained in a study published earlier this summer in the journal Criminal Law Forum. In terms of timing, Sundays were the most murderous days, especially around curfew. Church in the morning was frequently followed by drinking, sports, and fights later in the day.

Each of the three cities had very different local patterns of violence, however. Oxford, for example, had a homicide rate three to four times higher than London or York. While this might seem to be at odds with the posh university city you’re probably imagining, the posh university is actually the exact reason behind those surprising rates.

“The medieval university attracted young men aged between 14 and 21, many living far from home, armed and steeped in a culture of honour and group loyalty,” University of Hull’s Stephanie Brown and University of Cambridge’s Manuel Eisner, two criminologists and co-authors of the study, wrote for The Conversation. “Students organised themselves into ‘nations’ based on their regional origins and quarrels between northerners and southerners regularly erupted into street battles.”

To make matters worse, students were often considered above the common law, so their violence could go unpunished. In fact, Oxford’s homicides were concentrated in or near the university quarter, also as a result of conflicts between students and townspeople.

The more public, the better

In London, the medieval homicidal hotspots included Westcheap, the “commercial and ceremonial heart of the city,” according to Brown and Eisner, as well as the Thames Street waterfront. The former was the site of murders associated with guild rivalries, professional feuds, and public revenge attacks, while the latter saw violence among sailors and tradespeople.

York saw significant levels of homicide in one of its main town entrances, an area that hosted significant commercial, civic, and social life as well. The concentration of travellers, locals, and merchants would have naturally caused some conflict. Stonegate, an esteemed street in York that made up part of a ceremonial route, also experienced much violence. Perhaps unexpectedly, such wealthy areas provided opportunities for competition, vengeance, and public displays of honor.

In fact, “in all three cities, some homicides were committed in spaces of high visibility and symbolic significance,” the team wrote in the study. Such public spectacles could have solidified an individual’s reputation and/or made a gruesomely compelling point. Interestingly, there were fewer murder inquests in medieval England’s poorer, marginal neighborhoods—though it’s worth considering the possibility that there wasn’t much pressure to investigate unusual deaths in less privileged communities in the first place.

Nevertheless, “the study also raises broader questions about the long-term decline of homicide,” the researchers concluded in the study, “suggesting that changes in urban governance and spatial organization may have played a crucial role in reducing lethal violence.”
