The First Teaser for ‘The Bride!’ Is Monstrously Intriguing

by admin September 23, 2025

Step aside, Poor Things, and take Joker: Folie à Deux with you when you go: the first teaser trailer for Maggie Gyllenhaal’s The Bride! is here. Anyone who was wondering whether the world has enough bandwidth for two Frankenstein movies in the span of a few months can breathe easy; The Bride! looks like it has an entirely different, far more chaotic energy than what Guillermo del Toro‘s got cooking.

The Bride! has been touted as a musical, but there’s just a small hint of that in this teaser. Instead, it leans heavily into what looks to be a wild romance between Frankenstein’s monster (Christian Bale) and his newly revived bride (Jessie Buckley):

It’s billed as a “bold, iconoclastic take on one of the world’s most compelling stories,” and here’s the official description:

“A lonely Frankenstein (Bale) travels to 1930s Chicago to ask groundbreaking scientist Dr. Euphronious (Annette Bening) to create a companion for him. The two revive a murdered young woman and the Bride (Buckley) is born. What ensues is beyond what either of them imagined: Murder! Possession! A wild and radical cultural movement! And outlaw lovers in a wild and combustible romance!”

The rest of the cast includes Peter Sarsgaard, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Penélope Cruz; Maggie Gyllenhaal directs and also wrote the screenplay. The Bride! arrives March 6, 2026.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 director adds another DLC teaser to the pile: ‘We may be cooking’

by admin August 28, 2025

I don’t blame any of the developers behind Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 for not immediately thinking about DLC plans just as their game exploded in popularity and hit sales numbers in the millions earlier this year. But in the last few months they’ve acknowledged the hunger for DLC in every way but a direct confirmation and at this point I’d just like to know if those plans are real.

In May, writer Jennifer Svedberg-Yen told a fan on Instagram that while there was “nothing concrete” in the works, the “chances are good” that we’d see DLC. But then a few days later she told the Washington Post that those comments were taken out of context and that the studio is focused on improving the base game.

A month later, the official Bluesky account reiterated those plans with a slight wink at possible “new content” coming down the line.

That brings us to a comment from director Guillaume Broche this week in an interview with YouTuber MrMattyPlays. When asked about plans to release DLC, Broche said, “There may be,” and that it’s “a bit too early to say.”

“We may be cooking,” he added with a smile that is the closest thing to a “yes” I’ve heard yet.

Earlier in the interview, Broche, seemingly talking about a proper sequel, said Expedition 33 is just “one of the stories we want to tell in this franchise,” and that it’s too soon to announce what that will be.

While he did not confirm DLC is coming, it sure sounds like the studio is already thinking about what comes next for Clair Obscur, whether that’s just a sequel or some kind of expansion in the future. For a game that is being compared to Final Fantasy for its extremely satisfying turn-based combat and eccentric world, it would be a bummer for the journey to end here.

Broche recently said that he doesn’t plan on expanding the team at Sandfall Interactive, preferring to keep it small, so if DLC truly is in the works, it might be a while.

Return to Silent Hill receives teaser trailer for film adaptation, revealing Pyramid Head and release date

by admin August 28, 2025

A teaser trailer for the film Return to Silent Hill has been revealed, giving us a first proper look at the Silent Hill 2 adaptation, its version of Pyramid Head, and a release window.

Christophe Gans is in the director’s chair, following his work on the 2006 Silent Hill film starring Sean Bean. Jeremy Irvine (Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, Treadstone, War Horse) stars as James.

Gans previously stated the film would be a faithful adaptation of Konami’s beloved Silent Hill 2. “I am delighted to partner with Cineverse, which has shown a genuine understanding of fanship,” said Gans back in May. “Return to Silent Hill is an adaptation created out of deep respect for a true masterpiece of a game, Konami’s iconic Silent Hill 2. I hope fans will enjoy and be fulfilled with the experience this new film has to offer.”

The trailer, above, is only 40 seconds long, but it does show a suitably foggy environment, that iconic shot of James looking in the mirror, and of course some scary nurses. Best of all, it ends with a first look at Pyramid Head.

Return to Silent Hill is set for release in January 2026.

It’s all part of a resurgence of Konami’s horror franchise, following the success last year of Bloober’s Silent Hill 2 remake. Silent Hill f will be released next month – and no, it’s not a Soulslike.

This is a news-in-brief story. This is part of our vision to bring you all the big news as part of a daily live report.

Check Out The Official Teaser Trailer For Silent Hill 2 Movie Adaptation, Return To Silent Hill

by admin August 27, 2025

It’s a great time to be a fan of Konami’s Silent Hill series. Between Bloober Team’s great Silent Hill 2 remake last year, the upcoming Silent Hill f that launches next month, and Return To Silent Hill, the Silent Hill 2 film adaptation hitting silver screens on January 23, there’s plenty of psychological horror to go around. Ahead of the movie’s release early next year, Cineverse and Bloody Disgusting have released an official teaser trailer for the film.

“Return To Silent Hill brings the iconic horror franchise back to the screen,” the movie’s logline reads. “When James receives a mysterious letter from his lost love Mary, he is drawn to Silent Hill—a once-familiar town now consumed by darkness. As he searches for her, James faces monstrous creatures and unravels a terrifying truth that will push him to the edge of his sanity.”

Check out the Return To Silent Hill teaser for yourself below:

Return To Silent Hill hits theaters on January 23, 2026. It has a run time of 105 minutes and is directed by Christophe Gans, the director of 2006’s Silent Hill.

In the meantime, read Game Informer’s Silent Hill 2 remake review, and then check out the latest trailer for Silent Hill f, which hits PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on September 25.

We waited all these years for Hollow Knight: Silksong to reemerge and all we got was a teaser

by admin August 20, 2025

Hollow Knight: Silksong, the DLC-turned-sequel to one of the best indie metroidvanias, has been in limbo for what felt like a decade. Extended radio silence and a – seemingly unexpectedly-prolonged – development period has earned the sidescrolling action game something of an ethereal status.

Before almost every major games showcase, people would theorise that this or that one is the one that will finally, actually bring us an updated look, and maybe some sort of release target. Well, none of those panned out, until today.

Silksong’s segment lasted barely a minute. We didn’t get a new trailer, release date, or even a proper teaser. Instead, Keighley delibered a message on behalf of developer Team Cherry to let us all know the game is indeed coming out this year.

The real trailer – and presumably more news – will arrive in a YouTube premiere on the developer’s channel this Thursday, so at least we won’t be waiting too much longer.

We’ve kind of suspected for a while that Silksong’s return would be at this year’s gamescom. For it to show up on the Opening Night Live stage, of course, was more of an educated guess. Much like he managed to be the first to reveal Elden Ring’s gameplay to the world, Keighley is also responsible for today’s long-anticipated look at Silksong.

There were, of course, a few other clues that pointed towards the 2025 gamescom being the show to finally bring the game back into the limelight. A few weeks ago, it was confirmed to be playable on the show floor, which rarely happens without some sort of accompanying announcement or media blast.

It was also recently confirmed to be a launch title for Xbox and Asus’ ROG Xbox Ally X, and the handheld console is itself being unveiled at gamescom. So it all kind of made sense, which is great news for all the Hollow Knight fans who probably couldn’t take another sumer event block without Silksong making an appearance.

Wukong 2 Already In Development, Here’s The Teaser

by admin August 20, 2025

Today, at the very end of Gamescom Opening Night Live, Geoff had one more secret to reveal: The developers behind the super-popular action RPG Black Myth: Wukong are working on a new game, Black Myth: Zhong Kui, starring a new mythical hero.

Here’s the very short teaser for Zhong Kui, which doesn’t have a release date yet:

Black Myth: Zhong Kui isn’t a direct sequel to Wukong. On the new game’s official website, the devs explained that they wanted to “build more distinct game experiences, to challenge ourselves with bolder features” and work on “fresh ideas.” However, they did tease an actual sequel or DLC to Wukong, saying: “And to all friends who love Black Myth: Wukong, the westward journey won’t end here.”

It should also be noted that, despite a slick-looking CG trailer showing off the new mythical hero and setting, Game Science admits it doesn’t have much to show because the game is still very early in development, saying that Zhong Kui is “little more than an empty folder at this stage.” However, the devs said they love announcing new things and updating fans on August 20, so they created a CG short to “let everyone know that a new project has kicked off.” But yeah, don’t expect to be playing this game anytime soon.

According to Game Science, Black Myth: Zhong Kui, like Wukong, is a single-player action RPG that will follow “the same business model as before.” That seems to imply that this sequel won’t be free-to-play when it eventually launches.

“However, you won’t be playing a monkey role this time,” explained the studio. “That said, we’re still exploring and experimenting with the concrete differences between Wukong and Zhong Kui. So take it easy—let us impress ourselves first before we serve it to you.”

On August 20, 2024, Black Myth: Wukong launched on PlayStation 5 and PC and quickly became a massive hit. The game saw over 2.4 million concurrent players on Steam alone, beating out popular games like Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, Elden Ring, Cyberpunk, and many more. It still, to this day, holds the record for second-highest number of players all online at the same time on Steam, only beaten by PUBG’s massive 3.2 concurrent players record. Needless to say, a lot of people are excited for more Black Myth, and I expect that when Zhong Kui eventually arrives on PC and consoles, it will be as big if not bigger.

Ghost of Yotei’s gamescom Opening Night Live trailer is good, but it’s made better by that Legends teaser

by admin August 20, 2025

We were promised a new look at Ghost of Yotei at this year’s gamescom, and Opening Night Live indeed kept that promise. The Geoff Keighley-hosted show was full of updated looks at previously-announced games, as well as some fresh game reveals.

Sucker Punch was among the developers in attendance, and the team brought something special for fans of the upcoming Ghost of Tsushima sequel.

Today’s trailer was actually one of Yotei’s best so far, blending quick cuts of the game’s action combat with a couple of menacing moments with the game’s villains. Nothing too unexpected here – except, of course, for that tease at the end.

Legends, the online co-op mode that came to Tsushima in a free update, will return in Yotei. It won’t be available at launch, however, and will instead arrive in a free update in 2026. Legends will feature new story missions for two players, alongside four-player survival matches.

There’s going to be four playable character classes, and some of the bosses you’ll come up against will be fantastical, demonic versions of the game’s Yotei Six gang of outlaws. We didn’t get to see much from Legends in today’s reveal, but the news will definitely make a lot of people happy.

For a game coming out in about six weeks, we actually haven’t seen all that much of Ghost of Yotei. Gameplay was kept under wraps practically since the moment Yotei was initially announced. It wasn’t until July that the game got its own, dedicated State of Play presentation from Sony.

Today’s showcase certainly helped keep that hype train chugging, even if we still like to see more of the open-world action RPG. That said, it continues to appear as a fairly straightforward sequel, so there may – understandably – be not much more to show.

Ghost of Yotei arrives October 2 on PS5.
