93% of Indian Investors Support Crypto Regulation

by admin September 10, 2025

Mudrex, one of India’s biggest crypto investment platforms, has come out with a new survey on how Indians see regulation, taxation and the future of digital assets. The survey is titled “What India Thinks: Crypto Regulation, Taxation & Investment Trends.” It is based on the views of more than 9,000 people from different regions, professions, and income groups.

The most significant finding is that 93% of respondents support crypto regulation. Of these, 56% asked for a full framework with investor protection, 24% said lighter oversight would be better for innovation, and 13% wanted regulation to be limited to taxation. Half of those surveyed also supported the idea of a separate regulator for crypto.

1/5 India is already the global leader in #crypto adoption 🌏

But beyond headlines, what do everyday investors really think?

We conducted one of the country’s largest surveys to capture investor voices, across age, income and profession, on:

— Mudrex (@officialmudrex) September 9, 2025

Edul Patel, CEO and Co-Founder of Mudrex, noted that India is already leading global crypto adoption with the talent, appetite, and scale to shape the digital asset economy. However, he emphasized that achieving this potential requires clear regulation. According to him, the survey highlights that investors are not opposed to rules, but to the uncertainty surrounding them.

Taxes Remain the Biggest Pain Point

Taxation came out as the biggest roadblock. About 84% of participants called the current system unfair compared to other assets. Two-thirds said the 30% tax on gains was the biggest deterrent. Other issues included not being able to offset losses (12%), fraud concerns (12%), 1% TDS (7%), and exchange fees (3%).

Nearly nine in 10 investors said they would put more money into crypto if government policies were clearer. Out of these, 55% strongly backed the idea, while 35% said they would be encouraged if taxes were brought down.

Long-Term Outlook

Most respondents see crypto as more than a quick trade. About 64% said they view it as a tool for long-term wealth creation. Curiosity drives 14% of investors, 12% look at it for short-term profits, and 6% treat it as a safeguard against inflation. Just 4% are still unsure.

Where Investors Learn About Crypto

For most, YouTube is the go-to source, with 43% depending on it for updates. News outlets follow at 19%, then friends and family at 15%, and platforms like X at 14%. Education is also on the wish list, with 77% wanting blockchain and crypto to be part of college courses in India.

Politics and Policy Outlook

Crypto has entered the political space as well. About 67% of investors said they are very likely to back a party that supports digital assets, while 24% are somewhat likely. Only 9% said policy would not affect their vote.

At the same time, 78% believe India is already late in embracing crypto and Web3. With the government preparing a discussion paper, the survey offers a clear message: investors want clarity, fair taxation, and practical rules to match India’s growing role in global adoption.

Filecoin (FIL) Demonstrates Steady Bullish Momentum with Strong Volume Support

by admin September 8, 2025

Filecoin FIL$2.2317 showed strong upward momentum throughout the last 24 hours, climbing from $2.38 to $2.44, according to CoinDesk Research’s technical analysis model.

The model showed that the digital asset carved out strong support foundations within the $2.38-$2.39 corridor, backed by substantial volume validation that became particularly pronounced during the 6:00 AM ET trading hour when transaction volume exploded to 7 million units, dramatically exceeding the session’s 2.35 million average while perfectly aligning with a powerful rebound from the $2.398 level.

Technical resistance materialized near the $2.46 threshold, where price discovery encountered meaningful rejection during the identical high-volume window, establishing a definitive technical barrier for the trading session, according to the model.

Filecoin is hosting a discussion on Spaces tomorrow about the future of AI, according to an earlier post on X.

In recent trading FIL was 2.8% higher over 24 hours, trading around $2.44.

The wider crypto market was also higher, with the broad market gauge, the CoinDesk 20, up 2.7%.

Technical Analysid

  • FIL progressed decisively from $2.38 to $2.44 during the last 24-hours
  • Strong support established around the $2.38-$2.39 zone with high-volume confirmation, particularly evident during the 6:00 hour when volume surged to 7 million units.
  • Volume significantly exceeded the 24-hour average of 2.35 million units, coinciding with a decisive bounce from $2.40.
  • Resistance emerged near $2.46, where price action showed rejection during the high-volume period, creating a clear technical ceiling for the session.
  • Sustained upward momentum supported by consistent volume above average levels during key advances suggests institutional accumulation.

Why Your Office Chair Should Have Lumbar Support

Why Your Office Chair Should Have Lumbar Support

by admin September 8, 2025

I also spoke to John Gallucci, a licensed physical therapist and athletic trainer who specializes in treating symptoms from poor office posture, and he confirmed much of what Egbert said. Closed case, right? Well, it’s certainly not just marketing speak so that office chair manufacturers can charge you extra. But there are some important factors to consider.

Not All Lumbar Support Is Equal

Gallucci was quick to point out the benefits of lumbar support, but he also issued some warnings about how to proceed. Turns out, not all lumbar support is equal. “The most important thing to look for in a chair is ergonomic adjustability,” he says, referencing the need for adjustable lumbar support. “A good chair should support your posture for long periods without causing discomfort or fatigue. That means it should allow you to adjust the seat height, seat pan depth, armrests, lumbar support, and backrest tilt.”

Chairs with fixed lumbar support mean it isn’t adjustable to your body. Lumbar support and adjustments come in different forms these days. For example, some chairs have lumbar height adjustment but not depth, also known as “two-way” adjustment. Some use a dial for adjustment, and others use a ratchet or lever system. Other chairs let you adjust the entire backrest to find the right position, and some cheaper chairs resort to just a simple pad that can be manually moved. These can, in theory, all be good solutions, so long as you’re able to find the right position.

“That curve has to be adjustable as to where it is,” Egbert says. “My butt might be lower than your butt, and you want it to match where that curve in your lower back is. You want to be able to slide it up and down.”

A good example of an ergonomic chair with “two-way” lumbar adjustment is the Branch Ergonomic Chair Pro. We’ve tested dozens of chairs, and this excellent lumbar support is one of the reasons WIRED’s office chair reviewer, Julian Chokkattu, found it so comfortable. It also doesn’t cost over a thousand dollars like so many high-end office chairs.

If you aren’t ready to shell out $500 on an ergonomic chair, that doesn’t mean you have to be doomed to lower back pain. Some DIY solutions can even be better than a chair with inadequate lumbar adjustment. We’ve even tested some add-on lumbar cushions that we like, such as this LoveHome model you can find on Amazon.

When it comes down to it, though, lumbar support isn’t the first thing to tackle when setting up your workspace. If you’re sitting at an old desk working from only a laptop, lumbar support is never going to solve your posture issues. Fix that first, with either a laptop stand or a height-adjustable monitor.

After that, yes, lumbar support is a good thing. It needs to be adjustable and well-implemented, but it’s something you’ll want to make sure is available on your next office chair. If you’re sitting for eight hours a day, your back deserves it.

Taiwan Venture Capital Firm to Create $1 Billion Bitcoin Fund to Support Asia Treasuries

by admin September 6, 2025

In brief

  • Sora Ventures aims to raise $1 billion to help bolster Bitcoin treasuries in Asia
  • The firm seeks to accumulate a further $800 million for BTC over the next six months.
  • Last year, Sora invested in Metaplanet, the largest Bitcoin treasury firm in Asia.

Crypto venture capital firm Sora Ventures aims to raise $1 billion to help bolster Bitcoin treasuries in Asia, the firm announced on Friday.

Starting with $200 million from partners and investors, the firm seeks to accumulate a further $800 million for BTC over the next six months.

“This is the first time that Asia has seen a commitment of this magnitude toward building a network of Bitcoin treasury firms, with capital commitment towards Asia’s first $1 billion treasury fund,” said Sora partner Luke Liu in a statement.

The firm said its fund will act differently from other Bitcoin investment vehicles in the region, like the publicly traded firm Metaplanet, which holds 20,000 BTC worth more than $2.2 billion on its balance sheet.

Instead, Sora’s fund will act as a “central pool of institutional capital designed to both support these existing firms and fuel the creation of similar treasuries globally,” the firm said.

Sora Ventures did not immediately respond to Decrypt’s request for details on exactly how its fund will operate.

The Taiwan-based firm aims to put Asia on par with western markets as it comes to institutional adoption of Bitcoin.

“Asia has been one of the most important markets for the development of blockchain technology and Bitcoin. We have seen a rise in interest from institutions investing in Bitcoin treasuries in the U.S. and EU, while in Asia efforts have been relatively fragmented,” said Sora founder Jason Fang in a statement.

“This is the first time in history that institutional money has come together, from local to regional, and now to a global stage.”

Last year, Sora invested in Metaplanet, the largest Bitcoin treasury firm in Asia. In July, the firm participated in an acquisition of Thailand’s DV8, a publicly traded firm now undertaking a Bitcoin treasury model.

The Bitcoin treasury phenomenon first started with Michael Saylor and his business software firm Strategy in 2020. Now more than 300 entities hold the top crypto asset on its balance sheet, with more than 3.7 million BTC accounted for, according to data from BitcoinTreasuries.net.

Bitcoin is up 1.2% in the last 24 hours and trading at $110,842.

Dogecoin price slumps despite Elon Musk, DOGE treasury rumor

Dogecoin price holds support at $0.20, is a reversal to $0.32 next?

by admin September 6, 2025

Dogecoin’s price is consolidating at $0.20 high-time-frame support, a region with multiple technical confluences. If this level holds, price action is well-positioned for a rotation toward $0.32 resistance.

Summary

  • DOGE consolidates at $0.20 high-time-frame support, backed by strong confluence.
  • Market structure remains bullish, with $0.32 as the next major resistance.
  • Declining volume suggests accumulation, with bullish influxes needed for breakout.

Dogecoin (DOGE) price action is currently holding steady at $0.20, a critical high-time-frame support level backed by the 0.618 Fibonacci retracement and VWAP support. This consolidation is likely to form another higher low in the ongoing bullish structure, paving the way for a potential continuation higher. Adding to sentiment, CleanCore Solutions is targeting Dogecoin as a treasury asset with a $175 million private placement. This development adds emphasis to volume behavior to confirm accumulation and anticipate an expansion phase.

Dogecoin price key technical points

  • Critical Support: $0.20 aligns with the 0.618 Fibonacci retracement and VWAP, reinforcing demand.
  • Market Structure: Holding this zone establishes another higher low, maintaining bullish macro structure.
  • Upside Targets: Value area high is the immediate hurdle, with $0.32 as the next high-time-frame resistance.

Dogecoin/USDT (1D) Chart, Source: TradingView

The $0.20 level has become a decisive support zone for Dogecoin. Acting as a confluence of key technical markers, it has thus far contained price action, suggesting demand is firmly present in this region. This level is expected to establish another higher low within the bullish macro trend, preserving the structure of consecutive higher highs and higher lows.

The next technical hurdle lies at the value area high. A confirmed close above this region would signal that demand has overpowered supply, paving the way for a rotation toward the swing high. Once the $0.32 resistance is tested and breached, this would establish another higher high, reinforcing Dogecoin’s macro bullish trajectory and further validating its trend.

Volume dynamics provide further insight. The current decline in volume is typical of consolidation phases, where support holds and sellers become exhausted. This behavior suggests accumulation, as market participants steadily build positions in preparation for expansion. However, for this consolidation to evolve into a decisive breakout, strong and sustained bullish inflows must accompany the move. These volume surges will validate the shift in demand and fuel a continuation toward resistance levels.

Overall, both market structure and price action confirm a bullish bias. The key lies in whether volume can back the next leg higher. If demand sustains, Dogecoin is likely to reclaim the value area high, rotate toward $0.32, and maintain its series of higher highs and higher lows.

What to expect in the coming price action

Dogecoin remains bullish above $0.20 support. A breakout above the value area high could trigger expansion toward $0.32, with strong bullish volume required to confirm and sustain the continuation.

Star Trucker’s anniversary update adds wheel and joystick support to the space lorry sim, plus speed cameras

by admin September 5, 2025

Star Trucker, Raw Fury’s answer to what Euro Truck Simulator might look like in the year 3000, is now a year old, and has celebrated that fact with an update that finally lets you whip out your wheel and pedals.

Ever since I gave it a go with a controller prior to letting my Game Pass subscription crumble into dust, this is a day I’ve yearned for. After all, what good are truck sims, be they Euro, American or something more Snowrunnery, if you’re not operating the controls of your great metal haulage beast by flicking flappy gearbox paddles, or sawing away at a circle clearly designed for something a bit sportier?

That’s what this anniversary update for the interstellar hauler delivers, with wheels like the Thrustmaster T128 and flight sticks like VKB’s Gladiator NXT EVO being early additions to the devs’ handy tracking sheet of tested peripherals. There’s also a guide and FAQ rundown from Raw Fury to help folks get their hardware up, running, and fully bound to all the inputs space trucking requires.

Gear recognised by the game should set itself up with default bindings automatically, but I usually find creating my own basic set of essential buttons not that time-consuming, as long as the game wants to acknowledge your wheel exists. Just remember to bind a pause button, and stick the handbrake somewhere your finger can easily hold it when you want to see if your rig can finish a delivery with a 10/10 skid.

As a counterweight to all the wheel and pedal lorry mischief I planned the minute I clocked this update, it also comes with new speed checks. Yep, cameras, fines, the works. These camera checkpoints along the trails of the galaxy will even show you what speed you’re doing as you pass them, though the notes don’t mention if you get shown a little smiley face for not blasting through a Jupiter school zone at 120mph. You can also disable these checks via the settings, if the threat of having to attend a speeding course with the crowd from the Mos Eisley cantina is just too much.

Aside from that, there are a couple of updates to trailers, and a couple of optional truck goodies to commemorate the game’s first birthday. The latter includes a hologrammatic image of a cake you can display in your cab. Just remember to eat plenty before your next long haul.

If you’ve not given Star Trucker a go, our Nic dubbed it “a game that’s much more about the ‘trucker’ of it all than the stars, but the trucker of it all really does shine” in his review, writing:

When you exit the airlock to patch up hull breaches, little white spanner icons mark the offending damage. The symbol that marks the airlock to return to your truck is a home. I noticed it early, and then I kept noticing it. The more I did, the more perfect it felt.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to oversteer that home into an asteroid belt.

Hollow Knight Silksong

Silksong is so popular, even people in the Piracy subreddit are encouraging others to just buy it: ‘If we can afford to support them, we should’

by admin September 4, 2025

Hollow Knight: Silksong finally went live today—you may have heard something about that—and its arrival absolutely demolished Steam, which simply could not hold up under the crushing demand of Skongmania. As Steam crumbled like a train bridge made of soggy noodles, GOG did what it does best: Took a shot from the shadows.

“It appears that Silkzillion gamers worldwide are trying to get their hands on Hollow Knight: Silksong, and digital storefronts are struggling to handle the traffic,” GOG posted on X. “But the DRM-free Bastion stands strong.” Naturally, there was a link to Silksong on GOG.

It appears that Silkzillion gamers worldwide are trying to get their hands on Hollow Knight: Silksong, and digital storefronts are struggling to handle the traffic. But the DRM-free Bastion stands strong 😎👇 https://t.co/XVbkDmXLceSeptember 4, 2025

I can’t say I’d really thought about it before seeing that post, but it caught me a little by surprise because it felt, well, incongruous. The value of DRM is debatable but generally speaking it does at least help cut down on day-one piracy; releasing one of the most eagerly anticipated games to come along in years on a platform whose number-one promo point is “No DRM” was surely a high-risk move.

Except, maybe not. Sure enough, Silksong was available through less-than-legal channels almost immediately after launch, but as noticed by GamesRadar, the 2.4 million strong Piracy subreddit seemed torn on the topic: Unexpectedly, quite a few of its members have been urging people not to pirate Silksong.

“I was planning on doing it, since every recent game costs around $80 and that’s a lot of money for a game,” one redditor wrote in a pre-release thread asking how potential pirates planned to proceed. “But after the price was revealed, $20, I thought, damn that’s good, and I’m not pirating it.”

Others felt the same way, “I think I’m just gonna buy this one. It’s only $20 and I really enjoyed Hollow Knight so, I’m sure I won’t be mad about spending the money on this one,” one respondent wrote.

“Apparently it’ll only be like 20 bucks with a three person team. I can and will definitely buy it after it’s been out a week or two,” another added.

Keep up to date with the most important stories and the best deals, as picked by the PC Gamer team.

Similar responses can be seen in a bigger thread announcing that Silksong was uploaded to pirate sites 15 minutes after it launched.

“It’s a 3-4 person team that has done right by their fans at every turn,” No-Shape6053 wrote. “Making sure the PC release is DRM free. Making sure all original backers of Hollow Knight get Silksong free on their choice of platform. This is a time where if we can afford to support them, we should.”

Redditor Efrayl added: “I’m buying this game on GOG straight away, even though I will probably play it later (after a few updates and when it will be on discount).”

RandoT said he’s never purchased a full-priced game on launch day in the 10+ years he’s had his Steam account, but he’s doing it for Silksong: “It was Team Cherry that made me break my ‘vow’ to always buy on discount.”

Silksong’s release is the first time I’ve seen comments on the Piracy subreddit push for people to buy it instead.

— @airbagged.bsky.social (@airbagged.bsky.social.bsky.social) 2025-09-04T21:13:04.693Z

#Silksong has appeared on piracy websites for PC and r/Piracy is having arguments over pirating it, lmao

— @born2beslicker.bsky.social (@born2beslicker.bsky.social.bsky.social) 2025-09-04T21:13:04.668Z

To be clear, this is not a wholesale changing-of-ways. Plenty of people in the subreddit say they’re going to pirate Silksong regardless, some with the claimed intent of buying it later when their finances allow and others simply as a matter of because I can principle.

But the extent of the push to just buy the damned thing seems genuinely unusual. Much of that arises from the fact that Silksong itself is very unusual: A monster-hit (and, going by the current Steam rating, very good—we’re still working on our review but will have it up soon) game priced at $20, developed by tiny team that doesn’t seem too arsed about the accepted conventions of making and releasing videogames.

It’s not the sort of scenario that could be duplicated by Electronic Arts or Ubisoft, in other words, and I wouldn’t expect executives at any major or mid-sized publisher to look at this and think that maybe ditching Denuvo really is the way to go. Still, it does really drive home the notion that while you’re never going to stop piracy, you can sometimes turn some people around on it by asking a fair price, making a good game, and being genuine throughout. I think that’s kind of nice.

On the eve of Silksong, ultrawide monitor support is confirmed, and the soundtrack looks to be double the size of the original

by admin September 4, 2025

Silksong comes out in less than 10 hours. By the time you read this it’ll be even less than that. Heck, if you read this tomorrow, the game will already be out. Notice how I sound like an idiot? It’s because Silksong is upon us, and I’m excited. I’d rather be playing it right now than writing this.

Every new detail on Silksong is of utmost importance: even the fact that it has ultrawide support. Silksong marketing guy Matthew Griffin confirmed as much earlier today. “For PC players, screen ratios up to 21:9 are fully supported,” he posted on X, along with some screenshots to prove it (see them below, but don’t get too excited: they’re screenshots you’ve seen before, only wider now).

Not content with allaying the fears of ultrawide zealots the world over, Griffin also retweeted an account pointing out that the Silksong soundtrack is much bigger than the original game’s, with a total of 53 tracks compared to Hollow Knight’s 26 (if you don’t count the DLC tracks). Team Cherry pointed it out in their most recent letter to backers, who also get the soundtrack at launch.

I don’t mean to suggest that the amount of songs in the Silksong soundtrack is commensurate with its size compared to its predecessor, but it does sound like this sequel will be a much bigger game. It’ll have over 200 enemies and 40 bosses, according to its most recent trailer, which is a far sight more than the original Hollow Knight at launch.

Ahead of Silksong’s imminent launch, Tyler Colp has gathered together some of the best Hollow Knight lore videos to get you up to date. Elsewhere, Sean has gathered the Silksong release time for each region.

Clarity Act Gains Bipartisan Support As Senate Weighs Next Steps

Clarity Act Gains Bipartisan Support as Senate Weighs Next Steps

by admin September 4, 2025

The debate over U.S. digital asset regulation is gaining momentum as lawmakers push for clearer rules. Representative French Hill revealed that the Clarity Act, aimed at shaping digital asset market structure, received overwhelming bipartisan support in the House.

In an interview with Fox Business, Hill said that 78 Democrats backed the bill, alongside strong Republican support. The legislation now moves to the Senate, where discussions continue under the leadership of Senator Tim Scott. Hill urged the Senate to “consider taking up the Clarity Act in their process and simply make improvements to it.”

NEW: Chairman @RepFrenchHill on digital asset market structure legislation:

“The CLARITY Act in the House, which I wrote, got 78 Democrat votes here in the House. … We got such overwhelming support by Democrats and Republicans. … I would hope that the Senate would consider… pic.twitter.com/58gIMZMPIN

— Financial Services GOP (@FinancialCmte) September 3, 2025

Senator Scott is optimistic that between 12 to 18 Democrats might support a framework for the crypto market. Additionally, prominent figures like Senators Kirsten Gillibrand and Cynthia Lummis are playing an active role in this effort.

On this matter, Hill said he is hopeful that the bill could be passed in just a few weeks, especially considering the pressing need to effectively regulate digital assets.

Concerns Over Fed’s Role and Stablecoins

As support for crypto legislation continues to grow, worries about its effects on traditional finance remain. During the Kansas City Fed’s Jackson Hole Symposium, Fed Governor Mickey Bowman described digital assets as a “seismic shift” in the understanding of money and value.

He cautioned that if people don’t adapt, blockchain systems might completely sidestep the banking industry. Hill responded to these concerns by highlighting the role banks play in issuing dollar-backed stablecoins. He clarified that these stablecoins would mainly facilitate cross-border trade instead of replacing banks altogether.

“A dollar back payment stable coin is simply a new payment method,” Hill said. These stablecoins, he added, would require issuers to hold assets in banks or U.S. Treasury bills, supporting short-term government debt markets.

CBDC Debate Intensifies

According to him, central banks are looking into government-backed digital currencies, such as the digital euro in Europe. Hill emphasized that the U.S. should lean towards solutions from the private sector, showing the need for consumer choice and financial privacy.

Meanwhile, the House recently passed the Anti-CBDC Surveillance State Act, which seeks to block the Federal Reserve from launching a digital dollar. However, competing proposals, including a revision to the National Defense Authorization Act, are still under debate.

The Clarity Act could reshape U.S. crypto regulation by bridging partisan divides. Hence, the coming changes will determine whether Congress sets a clear path for digital assets.
