Amazon Clears Out Govee Smart Lamp Stock, Now Selling for Less Than a Basic Floor Lamp

by admin October 7, 2025

Your living room deserves smart lighting that doesn’t drain your wallet. Smart floor lamps have become incredibly popular for transforming spaces with dynamic colors and voice control but the price tags often make people think twice. Not anymore. Right now, the Govee RGBIC floor lamp has dropped to just $64 on Amazon, down from its usual $99 price. This Prime Big Deal Days offer marks an all-time low for one of the most popular smart lamps on the market.

See at Amazon

This is not another mood-decorating, color-changing lamp: The Govee floor lamp is 136cm high and produces 1000 lumens of light which means it genuinely functions as actual light for your room (rather than mood decoration). At that level of brightness, it places it on a par with standard floor lamps so you can employ it for reading, working or ambient room light when it’s day, then shift over to bright color modes when night falls.

What Makes This Smart Lamp Worth Your Money

The RGBIC tech (that IC means Independent Control) distinguishes this lamp from less expensive ones: Each of the light strip segments is capable of showing disparate colors at the same time which lets you have flowing rainbow effects or gradients or multi-color schemes that plain RGB lamps aren’t up for. At your fingertips, you’re looking at 16 million different available colors and 58 dynamic built-in scenes named Cheerful, Romantic, and the like. Want your lamp pulsing red and orange, like a campfire? Done. Want a chilly blue-to-purple gradient for a late gaming marathon? Easy. The range goes deep enough that you’ll be able to fine-tune your lamp with holiday decorations or a party theme or just your mood of the moment without ever using the same look twice.

Voice command with Alexa or Google Home allows you never to have to rummage for your phone. Simply ask your smart speaker to turn the lamp on, change the hue, or reduce the brightness while cooking, working, or already settled on the sofa. The Govee Home app (installable through QR code on the box) adds additional control features with scheduling, so your lamp automatically wakes you gently with morning hues or unwinds with warm hues at bedtime. The app interface makes it simple to create custom scenes, allowing you to set specific hues for varying segments of a scene and then save your favorite sets for instant recall.

With sync mode, this light springs to life at parties, movie nights, or when playing video games. Inner microphones detect sound in the room and translate it into dynamic, real-time changes in brightness. Thump-heavy tunes create pulsing results, dialogues stay gentle, and action scenes erupt with corresponding changes in color. This dynamic lighting delivers real immersion for entertainment without cluttered setup.

The physical build makes this lamp suitable for real homes: Aluminum construction makes it firm (non-wobbling, non-tipping) yet light enough for simple transport from one room to another. Sections on the base fasten immediately without tools. At 136cm tall, it comfortably inhabits a corner, behind a sofa or next to a desk without overwhelming your space.

Stock sells out fast on Prime Big Deal Days, so this all-time-low pricing won’t last indefinitely.

Sony’s 1000XM4 Is Now 3 Times Cheaper Than the AirPods Max, Amazon Is Clearing Out Stock for Prime Day

by admin October 6, 2025

The high-end noise-canceling headphone market is more crowded than, say, Times Square during New Year’s Eve celebrations. Apple, Bose, Sonos, Sennheiser, and Sony are all fighting for your attention, each claiming their model is the best. Here’s the reality: over the past five years, the improvements in high-end ANC headphones have been incremental at best. A few tweaks here, minor updates there, but nothing revolutionary.

That means buying the latest model doesn’t make sense, especially when a slightly older flagship delivers nearly identical performance at a fraction of the cost. Right now, Sony’s WH-1000XM4 is on sale for $228, down from $348, during Prime Big Deal Day. To put that in perspective, these headphones cost almost three times less than Apple’s AirPods Max while delivering similar performance.

See at Amazon

Noise Cancellation that Truly Works in the Real World

The Sony 1000XM4 incorporates Sony’s Dual Noise Sensor tech which employs microphones both externally and internally in each earcup to absorb ambient noise. The earcups then create an inverse sound wave to eliminate the noise before it hits your eardrums. Unlike less expensive alternatives, this dual-sensor method is the distinguishing characteristic of high-end ANC. And Adaptive Sound Control takes it one better and adjusts the level of noise cancellation according to your activity and location.

Battery life is also where the WH-1000XM4 is way better than many competitors: You’re talking up to 30 hours of playback with the ANC in use so you could use these ‘phones for an entire week at the workplace and never have to recharge them. There’s quick charge too, and that’s the real convenience aspect: charge for 10 minutes and you’re getting five hours of playback. And that’s all through USB Type-C cable, included in the packaging.

The right earcup’s touch controls do it all without having to pull out your phone: You swipe up or down to volume-control, swipe forward or back to skip songs, tap once to pause or start, and tap twice to answer calls. You get used to it in a day or two. The Speak-to-Chat is actually brilliant: when you initiate speaking, the headphones automatically pause your tunes and admit background noise so you may converse. When you cease speaking, your tunes start again after a brief pause. You never have to take your headphones off when asked a question, for instance.

Call quality is improved with five in-built microphones and fantastic audio signal processing technology. With cooperative operation, the microphones block background noise and capture your own voice, causing calls to ring out even in background-noisy locations like crowded city intersections or bustling airports.

Sony revised the physical appearance to minimize pressure points which is important for long listening sessions. Earcups employ foam, pressure-distributed padding that sits evenly around your ears in place of resting on them directly. The headband does the same along your forehead. These design elements translate to wearing the WH-1000XM4 for hours without pain, and that is critical for long-haul flights or all-day work commutes.

At $228 for Prime Day, these Sony earphones provide flagship performance in an affordable package.

Coinbase stock surges on Rothschild upgrade and Samsung deal

by admin October 4, 2025

Coinbase is riding a wave of positive momentum, with a Rothschild upgrade validating its financial evolution as a massive Samsung deal simultaneously places its services directly in the hands of tens of millions of new users.

Summary

  • Coinbase stock rose 2.59% to $381.80 after a Rothschild upgrade to Buy.
  • Rothschild says Coinbase’s business is shifting beyond retail fees, driven by institutional trading, USDC income, and its Base network.
  • Meanwhile, a landmark Samsung Wallet integration will embed Coinbase services on 75M Galaxy devices.

On Oct. 3, Coinbase Global, Inc. (COIN) shares gained more than 2%, a move catalyzed by a strategic “Buy” upgrade from financial institution Rothschild & Co. and the simultaneous announcement of a landmark integration with Samsung.

Notably, Rothschild’s revised outlook, which includes a $417 price target, hinges on Coinbase’s successful diversification beyond its core trading business, while the Samsung deal embeds its services directly into the native wallet of 75 million Galaxy devices in the U.S.

From upgrade to embed: what’s driving Coinbase’s momentum

Rothschild’s central thesis is that the market continues to value Coinbase as a direct reflection of Bitcoin’s price, overlooking a fundamental business model shift. The institution notes that retail transaction fees, which once constituted about 90% of revenue, are projected to fall to nearly 50% next year.

According to Rothschild, this rebalancing act is being fueled by faster growth in institutional trading, derivatives, and a suite of subscription and services revenue, including its lucrative share of income from the USDC stablecoin and its burgeoning Layer-2 network, Base. Rothschild acknowledges that fee compression is an industry reality but contends that rising overall volumes and deeper institutional penetration will more than compensate.

This optimistic view of Coinbase stands in stark contrast to Rothschild’s assessment of its peers, illustrating a clear preference for diversified platforms. The institution initiated coverage of Circle, the issuer of USDC, with a neutral rating. While acknowledging the stablecoin’s dominant $73 billion supply, Rothschild pointed out Circle’s heavy reliance on interest income from its reserves, a significant portion of which (over 60%) is paid out to distribution partners like Coinbase.

For Robinhood, the outlook was more dire, with a reiterated sell rating. The bank warned that its crypto economics remain overly cyclical and dependent on retail traders, leaving it vulnerable to fee pressure as the market matures.

The Samsung integration, announced Friday, serves as a tangible execution of this diversification and could be the largest single consumer distribution play in Coinbase’s history. The deal links Samsung Pay to Coinbase accounts, placing crypto trading and payment functionality alongside everyday tools like transit passes and digital keys, normalizing digital asset use for a massive, mainstream audience.

HP Is Quietly Clearing Its Stock Through Amazon, With Its 17″ 1TB Laptop Going for 71% Off

by admin October 4, 2025

Many people don’t need the latest MacBook Pro with its $4,000 sticker shock but they also can’t do real work on a $300 Chromebook that chokes on anything beyond web browsing. The middle ground does exist, and HP has hit it out of the park with this 17-inch laptop that offers real productivity features without the premium price.

The brand appears to be clearing inventory and rather than advertising these savings on their own site, they’re unloading units under the radar on Amazon at historically low prices. This HP 17″ laptop (Intel Core i3, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, Windows 11 Pro) has been chopped from $2,399 down to $699, a 71 percent discount that puts professional-grade computing in the budget of students and remote workers.

The 17.3-Inch Display Changes Your Workflow

This is driven by the Intel Core i3-N305 8-core processor up to 3.2GHz and Intel UHD Graphics. This configuration handles everyday multitasking, web surfing, document editing and media playback without frustration or lag. The i3-N305 is Intel’s energy-efficient hybrid architecture designed for laptops that balances performance and battery life by dynamically shifting workloads between the performance and efficiency cores based on what you’re doing. You won’t be rendering 4K video or playing AAA games on max settings, but for office work and streaming entertainment, this processor delivers smooth performance.

Screen size matters more than many people realize until they’ve actually worked on a larger display: The 17.3-inch HD+ screen gives you much more workspace than standard 15.6-inch laptops, reducing the constant window juggling and tab switching that breaks your concentration. The 1600×900 resolution packs approximately 1.4 million pixels and delivers crisp text rendering and sharp graphics for documents and videos. The anti-glare coating reduces reflections from overhead lighting and windows.

The 32GB of RAM changes how you work by eliminating the performance limitations of heavy multitasking. You can have dozens of browser tabs open, several Microsoft 365 applications open simultaneously, be in video calls as you work on presentations and still have apps running in the background without noticing the slowdowns.

The 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD provides fast and spacious storage with Windows boot times in seconds and instant app opening. PCIe NVMe technology provides read and write speeds up to 15 times faster than traditional mechanical hard drives, which transfer files quickly and make opening large documents instant.

At $699, you’re getting a genuinely capable laptop that performs real work without compromise.

Tokenized stock market dominated by only two players, study reveals

by admin October 2, 2025

The tokenized stock market is expanding fast, yet nearly all activity is concentrated in Backed and Ondo Global Markets, which dominate trading with popular U.S. tech shares and ETFs. While most offerings are synthetic, platforms exploring true ownership are emerging.

Summary

  • Tokenized stocks are growing quickly, but the market is almost entirely dominated by Backed and Ondo Global Markets.
  • Most of these tokenized stocks are synthetic, tracking popular U.S. tech shares and ETFs on Ethereum and Solana, while only a few platforms, like Superstate Opening Bell, are experimenting with giving investors true ownership.
  • The rapid growth shows blockchain can attract investors fast, but the market remains highly concentrated, and questions about legal status, custody, and pricing persist.

The market for tokenized stocks is growing rapidly, yet almost all of it is dominated by just two companies, with Animoca Brands Research reporting that Backed and Ondo Global Markets together account for 95% of the total market value as of September, a level of concentration that is hard to ignore.

Tokenized stocks are digital versions of regular company shares. They let people trade stocks anytime on blockchain platforms like Ethereum and Solana. It makes investing more flexible and accessible.

Tokenized stocks on-chain | Source: Animoca Brands Research

According to Animoca Brands’ research called “State of Tokenized Stocks,” the on-chain market value of tokenized stocks, excluding EXOD, is about $127 million, which is 14 times higher than earlier this year. Including EXOD, which represents tokenized shares of Exodus Movement Inc., the total rises to $342 million.

The growth, according to the report, mostly comes from Backed’s xStocks and Ondo Global Markets.

Backed and Ondo Global Markets have focused on a handful of popular U.S. tech stocks and broad market ETFs like the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100. By sticking to well-known assets, they make it easy for investors to understand and trade these tokens, the analysts explain, noting that most tokenized stocks are currently traded on Ethereum and Solana. As of press time, there are two main ways to create tokenized stocks:

  • Synthetic structure: This model tracks the price of a stock but doesn’t give the investor actual ownership rights. Backed and Ondo Global Markets use this approach, allowing investors to see the stock move in value without handling the underlying share directly.
  • Native issuance: This type gives investors true ownership rights, similar to holding the actual stock. Superstate Opening Bell is trying this model, starting with Galaxy Digital’s GLXY stock. As Animoca Brands Research explains, Backed and Ondo Global Markets are “key tokenization platforms/issuers using synthetic structures, while Superstate Opening Bell is exploring native issuance, starting with Galaxy stock.”

Backed and Ondo Global Markets have stayed ahead because they were first to launch, Animoca says, adding that they picked popular assets and built platforms that are simple to use. But their dominance also shows that the market is still very concentrated. As Animoca notes, together both Backed and Ondo “account for 95% of the market value.” While other platforms are trying to enter, right now, they make up only a small part of the market.

Tokenized stocks on-chain | Source: Animoca Brands Research

The growth of tokenized stocks also shows how new blockchain products can attract investors quickly. Backed’s xStocks and Ondo Global Markets provide exposure to widely recognized companies, which makes it easier for investors to try blockchain trading without taking on too much risk. But it’s not the same thing as native issuance.

Superstate Opening Bell is experimenting with giving investors actual ownership rights, with the report saying this approach might eventually unlock investors ‘true ownership rights.’

Pre-IPO stocks on Solana

Animoca Brands’ report mainly focuses on public stocks, leaving out private companies or other financial products. That matters because other projects are pushing private shares into retail rails. For example, decentralized trading platform Jupiter recently integrated tokenized pre-IPO stocks to its platform through a tie-up with PreStocksFi, allowing users to trade tokens tied to names like SpaceX, OpenAI, and Anthropic on Solana.

Those tokens are issuer-created tradable claims rather than literal company certificates, and some large holders can request redemption for (USDC) under certain conditions. Redemptions usually require KYC and are handled off-chain through the issuer or an SPV, and liquidity is provided on DEXes like Jupiter and Raydium, so retail traders can buy and sell around the clock.

While that setup works in practice, it also raises concrete questions about legal status, custody, and how prices are set when there is no public market for the underlying shares.

IREN stock price could soar
NFT Gaming

Here’s why IREN stock jumped after the CoreWeave and Meta Platforms deal

by admin September 30, 2025

IREN stock price jumped by more than 2% and approached its all-time high after a major $14 billion deal between Meta Platforms and CoreWeave and after a bullish report on AI spending from Citi.

Summary

  • IREN stock price soared after a big deal between Meta Platforms and CoreWeave.
  • Meta will buy AI computing power from CoreWeave in a $14 billion deal.
  • IREN jumped as investors predicted a similar deal with a hyperscaler.

IREN, a popular Bitcoin (BTC) mining company, jumped to $46.80, a few points below the all-time high of $49. It has advanced by 870% from its lowest level this year, bringing its market capitalization to more than $14 billion.

IREN shares jumped after Meta Platforms, the parent company of Facebook and WhatsApp, inked a $14 billion deal with CoreWeave. Meta will take advantage of CoreWeave’s infrastructure to accelerate its AI development.

The deal came a few weeks after Microsoft reached a similar deal with Nebius. Therefore, IREN stock is soaring as investors anticipate similar deals in the coming months as it ramps up construction of its AI data centers.

In a report published today, Citigroup raised its estimate of AI data center spending. The Wall Street bank now expects that technology giants will spend $2.8 trillion on AI data centers by 2029, up from its previous estimate of $2.3 trillion.

Citi also expects that the top hyperscalers, such as Microsoft, Amazon, Meta, and Google, will spend $490 billion by the end of 2026, up from the previous estimate of $420 billion.

If these estimates are correct, it means that companies providing AI infrastructure solutions, such as IREN, will continue to perform well in the foreseeable future.

In a recent statement, IREN said that it had doubled its AI cloud to 23k Nvidia and AMD GPUs as it seeks to become a major player in the industry. Its near-term target is to have about 60,000 GPUs.

Most importantly, it hopes to reach an annualized run rate of $500 million by Q1 2026, a large figure for a segment that generated just $7 million in revenue in the last quarter.

IREN stock price technical analysis

IREN stock chart | Source: crypto.news

The daily timeframe chart shows that the IREN share price has been in a strong uptrend over the past few months, moving from a low of $4.96 in April to $46 today, bringing its market capitalization to more than $12 billion.

IREN’s share price has remained significantly above all moving averages, while the rising Average Directional Index shows that the trend is gaining momentum.

However, IREN’s stock has become highly overbought as the Relative Strength Index and Stochastics have risen.

Therefore, the most likely scenario is that the stock continues rising as AI momentum accelerates and as traders wait for a potential deal with a hyperscaler. However, a smaller pullback cannot be ruled out in the near term as investors begin to book profits.

Monopoly: Pokemon Edition Is Back In Stock And Only $20 At Amazon

by admin September 30, 2025

The popular Pokemon-themed edition of the classic board game Monopoly is back in stock and discounted to $20 (was $25) at Amazon. Released last December, Monopoly: Pokemon Edition has rarely been discounted below its budget-friendly $25 MSRP. Theo $20 price is very close to the all-time low of $18.74, and that deal sold out fast when Amazon had it in July. You can also get this deal at Walmart and Target.

If you’re interested in this deal, you may want to snag it soon. Pokemon Monopoly is regularly on Amazon’s top charts for board games at full price, so this could sell out (again).

$20 (was $25)

In Monopoly: Pokemon Edition, instead of buying and collecting property with Monopoly Money, 2-4 players use Poke Balls to search for Pokemon on locations around the board. The goal is to catch eight types of Pokemon or be the last trainer with any Poke Balls left in their inventory. Along with a colorful board featuring locations from the series, you’ll get adorable miniature figures of Pikachu, Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly to use as the game pieces.

It’s not all too surprising that this edition of Pokemon Monopoly has been extremely popular. What is somewhat surprising, however, is that sold for only $25 out of the gate. Licensed editions of Monopoly based on huge media franchises routinely sell for $40.

Monopoly: Pokemon Edition (Hasbro Gaming)

This isn’t the first time Hasbro and The Pokemon Company have joined forces to release a Pokemon-themed edition of Monopoly. Earlier editions of the game are out of print and only available from resellers. Monopoly: Pokemon Kanto Edition is $45 at Amazon and features metal tokens of Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Eevee, and Jigglypuff. Over at Walmart, you can buy Monopoly: Pokemon Johto Edition for $58. This one also includes six metal game pieces: Pikachu, Totodile, Togepi, Chikorita, Cyndaquil, and Pichu.

For another themed version of a classic board game, check out Ravensburger’s Pokemon Labyrinth. Your goal is to navigate through an ever-shifting maze to track down various Pokemon. Matches are quick at around 30 minutes, and you can compete against up to three other players. A cool glow-in-the-dark version of Pokemon Labyrinth launched last fall. Both editions retail for $30.

And if you’re interested in learning the ropes of the Pokemon Trading Card Game, there are three very reasonably priced editions of Pokemon Battle Academy, each of which comes with multiple decks and offers a great way for kids (and adults!) to get started with the TCG.

QMMM stock halted by SEC after crypto treasury plan surge

QMMM stock halted by SEC after crypto treasury plan surge

by admin September 30, 2025

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has suspended trading in QMMM Holdings after its stock jumped nearly tenfold on plans to build a $100 million cryptocurrency treasury.

Summary

  • SEC suspends QMMM after sharp rally.
  • Stock jumped 959% on $100M crypto treasury news.
  • Concerns raised over social media-driven manipulation.

QMMM Holdings Ltd. stock soared almost tenfold in less than three weeks on news of a planned cryptocurrency treasury.

According to a Sept. 30 report from Bloomberg, the suspension took effect after the Hong Kong-based advertising firm’s stock jumped 959% following its Sept. 9 announcement that it would build a $100 million diversified cryptocurrency treasury.

QMMM stock sudden rally triggers scrutiny

The company said the strategy would initially focus on Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Solana (SOL) while exploring blockchain and artificial intelligence integrations.

The disclosure sparked heavy retail buying, with QMMM’s shares peaking above $260 intraday before pulling back to $119 at the time of the halt. Even at that level, the stock remained up more than 2,100% for the year.

The SEC said it was concerned about “potential manipulation,” pointing to online posts by unidentified promoters urging investors to buy the stock. The suspension runs until 11:59 p.m. ET on Oct. 10. Nasdaq, where the company trades, declined to comment, while QMMM has yet to respond.

Crypto treasury trend under watch

QMMM is the latest firm to join a growing list of companies pursuing crypto treasury strategies, a trend popularized by MicroStrategy’s high-profile Bitcoin purchases. Supporters argue that digital assets can serve as reserves or yield-bearing holdings, but critics warn the moves can fuel speculation and expose firms to extreme volatility.

The SEC also halted trading in Smart Digital Group Ltd. for similar reasons after it announced plans to create its own cryptocurrency asset pool. Meanwhile, regulators have stepped up scrutiny across the sector, with the Wall Street Journal reporting ongoing probes into unusual trading linked to crypto-related corporate announcements.

Nasdaq has already tightened requirements, mandating shareholder approval for equity raises tied to crypto purchases. Analysts say the QMMM suspension highlights regulators’ intent to curb hype-driven rallies and could make exchanges more cautious when listing companies pursuing crypto treasury strategies.

When trading resumes in mid-October, QMMM may face sharp volatility, or further regulatory risk, depending on the outcome of the SEC’s review.

SEC Halts Trading of Bitcoin, Ethereum Treasury Firm QMMM After 2,000% Stock Surge

by admin September 29, 2025

In brief

  • Digital advertising firm QMMM Holdings announced that it was buying Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana earlier this month.
  • The company’s stock has skyrocketed by more than 2,100% over the last month amid the crypto pivot.
  • The SEC has now halted trading of the stock, and alleges that there may be manipulation at play.

The Securities and Exchange Commission has halted trading of a company after its stock boomed by over 2,000% following a recently announced crypto treasury pivot.

Digital advertising firm QMMM Holdings earlier this month announced a plan to buy Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana—causing an explosion in the price of its stock. In September alone, its price has risen by more than 2,100%, according to Yahoo Finance data, finishing Friday at a price of $119.40.

But Wall Street’s biggest regulator said Monday that it was suspending trading of the security until October 10 as it investigates “potential manipulation” of the stock.

“The Commission temporarily suspended trading in the securities of QMMM because of potential manipulation in the securities of QMMM effectuated through recommendations, made to investors by unknown persons via social media to purchase the securities of QMMM, which appear to be designed to artificially inflate the price and volume of the securities of QMMM,” the statement from the SEC read.

Decrypt reached out to the SEC and QMMM Holdings for comment, but did not immediately receive a response from either party.

Hong Kong-based QMMM Holdings said at the start of the month that its treasury will initially start with $100 million worth of cryptocurrency.

The SEC’s announcement comes as regulators pay closer attention to digital asset treasuries—companies that buy cryptocurrency with spare cash. Last week, the Wall Street Journal reported that the SEC and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, or FINRA, had contacted companies after identifying unusual trading activity.

A number of companies have bought cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana to get better returns for shareholders. Such firms have often seen their share prices soar—albeit sometimes briefly—after announcing crypto treasury pivots.
