Clair Obscur Gets Amazon-Exclusive Steelbook Edition For PS5 And Xbox

by admin August 24, 2025

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is getting an Amazon-exclusive collectible edition later this year. An exact release date hasn’t been set, but Clair Obscur: Expedition 33’s Mirror Edition is available to preorder now for $60 on PS5 and Xbox Series X. The Mirror Edition includes a physical copy of the hit RPG, an exclusive steelbook case, three collectible trading cards, and a tuckbox.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Editions at Amazon

We feel it’s obligatory to mention Little Nightmares 3 also has an Amazon-exclusive Mirror Edition that you can preorder now.

Clair Obscur’s Mirror Edition isn’t the only upcoming retailer-exclusive edition you can preorder. GameStop’s Lumiere Edition for PS5 will be rereleased on October 31. Exclusive to PS5, the Lumiere Edition costs $70 and includes a steelbook case, 48-page art book, and the Digital Deluxe Edition DLC outfits.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 – Mirror Edition

Sandfall Interactive’s debut game turned out to be a much bigger hit than anyone could have expected. In fact, it currently holds a 93 on Metacritic, which includes GameSpot’s 9/10 review, making it the best-reviewed original game of 2025. Technically, it’s behind the Switch 2 versions of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, but those don’t really count.

Physical copies of Clair Obscur for PS5 and Xbox Series X sold out on launch day (April 24). Publisher Kepler Interactive struggled to keep up with demand, as the game remained sold out through May and into June. Stock for the $50 standard edition at Amazon finally seems to have stabilized for both consoles, but the game remains sold out at multiple retailers. We wouldn’t be surprised to see Amazon’s Mirror Edition sell out before launch.

Check out all four Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 physical editions below.

$60 | Amazon Exclusive

The Mirror Edition is only 10 bucks more than the standard edition–and 10 bucks less than GameStop’s Lumiere Edition. And unlike the Lumiere, the Amazon-exclusive Mirror Edition is available for both PS5 and Xbox Series X. Here’s what you’ll find inside the box:

  • Physical copy of base game
  • Exclusive Steelbook with Verso and Alicia character art
  • Mirror Edition Tuckbox
  • 3 collectable trading cards

There are 10 trading cards in all, so you’d need to buy at least four Mirror Editions–and likely more–to get all of the cards. Seems excessive, but you could buy the Mirror Edition for your friends as gifts this holiday season. Before you wrap the presents, make sure to remove the cards from the boxes.

$50 | In stock on August 22

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33’s physical edition sold out for PS5 and Xbox Series X shortly after the game launched on April 24. The $50 standard edition remained difficult to find for months on PS5 and Xbox Series X, but Amazon has copies for both platforms as of August 22.

Check stock at:

$70 | Reprint Preorder | Releases October 31

The GameStop-exclusive Lumiere Edition is only available for PS5 in the US. The upcoming reprint is slated to arrive October 31.

Like Amazon’s edition, this comes with an exclusive steelbook case. PlayStation 5 users need to decide if you’d prefer a mini art book plus in-game cosmetics or three illustrated trading cards plus an extra $10 in your pocket.

Here’s a look at everything included in the Lumiere Edition:

  • Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 physical edition
  • Collectible Steelbook Case featuring Maelle, Gustave, and the Paintress
  • The Expeditioner’s Journal – 48-page hardcover art book
  • Digital Deluxe Upgrade Pack (in-game DLC)
    • The Flowers Collection – Six Flowers of Lumiere outfits and hairstyles / Six Gommage outfit variations
    • Custom “Clair” outfit for Maelle
    • Custom “Obscur” outfit for Gustave

$150 | Sold Out

SOLD OUT

Unlike the Limited Edition, the Collector’s Edition appears to be gone for good. The Collector’s Edition was also exclusive to PS5 and only at GameStop. Along with all of the bonus DLC from the Lumiere and Digital Deluxe Editions, here’s what’s included in the box:

  • Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 base game
  • An 8-inch hand-painted Monolith music box
  • A collectible Steelbook case featuring unique cover art
  • The Expeditioner’s Journal 48-page hardcover artbook
  • The “Flowers” Collection DLC with unique cosmetic items
  • A “Clair” custom outfit for Maelle
  • An “Obscur” custom outfit for Gustave

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 PC Game Deals

PC players can get Steam keys for 10% off at GameSpot sister site Fanatical.

Clair Obscur is also available on Xbox and PC Game Pass. It’s an Xbox Play Anywhere title, so Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can carry their saves from PC to Xbox and vice-versa.

Mortal Kombat Movie Limited Edition Steelbook Preorders Drop To $30

by admin August 22, 2025

The 2021 Mortal Kombat movie is getting a new collectible 4K Blu-ray ahead of the sequel’s theatrical release this October. Fans can preorder Mortal Kombat Limited Edition Steelbook for $30 at Amazon, Walmart, or Gruv. The new edition launches October 7, just in time for a rewatch before heading to the theater for Mortal Kombat II on October 24. In the meantime, you can add to your Blu-ray collection by grabbing the other live-action and animated Mortal Kombat adaptations for cheap.

$30 (was $35) | Releases October 7

The Limited Edition Steelbook has a brand-new cover featuring Scorpion’s iconic mask on the front and his deadly kunai on the back. Inside, the cover features a still from the movie of Sub-Zero as he prepares an ice-dagger weapon. The film is presented in upscaled 4K resolution and supports HDR10. For audio, there are multiple Dolby surround sound options, including Atmos, TrueHD 7.1, and Digital 5.1.

Bonus materials aren’t listed for this release, but it’s possible that the special features from earlier Blu-ray releases are omitted here. The 2021 4K release included a 1080p Blu-ray with bonus content, but the Limited Edition Steelbook only comes with the one 4K disc.

The Steelbook Edition does come with a voucher to claim the digital version of Mortal Kombat. As an added bonus, it’s eligible for Movies Anywhere, so you can download/stream the film on a wide variety of apps and devices.

The 2021 reboot is a brutal adaptation of the iconic fighting game series. It faithfully brings the fantastical story of the games into the real world, pitting fan-favorite characters like Kung Lao, Liu Kang, Sonya Blade, and newcomer Cole Young against Shang Tsung and his sinister forces.

Mortal Kombat

Mortal Kombat has had a long history on the big and small screen, and you can relive it through various Blu-rays currently available for sale. The original and wonderfully cheesy 1995 film is still a treat and on sale for under $10, the terrible sequel Mortal Kombat Annihilation remains laughably bad. There’s also Mortal Kombat Legacy, the live-action web-series that ran for two seasons and took a big step in the right direction. You can get both of the ’90s live-action films and Legacy Season 1 for only $11 on Blu-ray thanks to the Mortal Kombat Triple Feature.

Mortal Kombat Live-Action Movies:

Mortal Komba Legends Animated Movies:

Mortal Kombat Legends animated movies

On the animated side, the recent Mortal Kombat Legends series treated fans to four pretty awesome films, each of which focused on a popular fighter from the games. Each film is savage and doesn’t shy away from painting the screen red during the impressive kombat sequences. All four Mortal Kombat Legends movies are available on 4K Blu-ray and 1080p Blu-ray for cheap.

  • Scorpion’s Revenge (2020)
  • Battle of the Realms (2021)
  • Snow Blind (2022)
  • Cage Match (2023)

Along with the upcoming sequel, Mortal Kombat fans have an exciting retro game collection to look forward to. Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection launches December 12 on consoles and PC. Preorders opened earlier this month; check out our Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection preorder guide for up-to-date details on the games included, bonuses, editions, and more.

Attack On Titan's New Complete Final Season Steelbook Is A Bargain

Attack On Titan’s New Complete Final Season Steelbook Is A Bargain

by admin August 18, 2025

Attack on Titan’s Final Season is getting a Complete Edition Blu-ray with a collectible steelbook case. Slated to release November 11, roughly one year after Part 3 initially launched on Blu-ray, Attack on Titan: Final Season Complete Steelbook is up for preorder for $70 at Amazon.

At first glance, $70 for one season of anime may sound pricey, but Parts 1-3 initially launched individually for $65-$70 each without steelbook cases. Even today, buying the standard editions of all three parts would set you back roughly $130. Plus, because Attack on Titan’s fourth and final season was split into three parts that aired over nearly three years, the Complete Steelbook Edition is by far the longest single Blu-ray release for the franchise. You’re effectively getting multiple seasons of content in one seven-disc package.

Check out the Final Season Complete Steelbook and a breakdown of Attack on Titan’s previous Blu-ray releases for Seasons 1-4, including Steelbook Editions for Seasons 1-3. We’ve also outlined the best ways to complete your Attack on Titan manga collection. Here’s a quick rundown of everything covered in this Attack on Titan roundup, including the recently released Attack on Titan Fly: Collector’s Box, which is on sale for a steep discount.

Attack on Titan Anime & Manga

$70 | Releases November 11

The Complete Steelbook Edition includes all 35 episodes from Attack on Titan’s three-part Final Season:

  • Part 1: 16 episodes
  • Part 2: 12 episodes
  • Part 3: 2 TV Specials
    • Special 1: 3 episodes
    • Special 2: 4 episodes

Part 3 initially aired as two lengthy TV specials in 2023. On the same day the second TV special debuted, the first one was split into three regular episodes. Then, two weeks after the finale, the second, even longer special aired as four episodes. As such, the Final Season essentially has 35 total episodes totaling 986 minutes (roughly 16.5 hours). For comparison, the next longest season was the first with 25 episodes.

The seven-disc Blu-ray set also comes with numerous special features:

Attack on Titan: Final Season Steelbook Bonus Content

  • Behind-the-scenes footage: 3DCG Animation and Staff Discussions
  • Voice Actor Panels for Parts 1-2
  • Attack on Titan Chibi Theater (2 parts)
  • Eyecatch Gallery
  • Promo Video and Commercial
  • Textless Opening and Ending Songs

Attack on Titan: Final Season Complete Steelbook Edition (Blu-ray)

The Crunchyroll Store is also taking preorders for $56, but it doesn’t come with a preorder price guarantee, and you’ll need to pay shipping costs unless your order total eclipses $75.

With Amazon’s preorder price guarantee, you’ll be eligible for any discount offered between the time you order and when the Blu-ray ships this November.

Attack on Titan: Final Season – Blu-ray Editions

Attack on Titan: Final Season: Part 3 Limited Edition (Blu-ray)

For comparison, check out the standard and Limited Editions of Parts 1-3 on Blu-ray below. The Final Season Part 3’s Limited Edition is the only LE release still in stock directly from Amazon for $84. The Limited Edition includes a 148-page art book, 32-page digibook, seven art cards, and two enamel pins. Standard editions for Parts 1-3 are currently priced at $41 to $45 each.

Complete your Attack on Titan Anime Collection

Attack on Titan Seasons 1-3 Steelbook Editions

Attack on Titan’s first three seasons received fresh Steelbook Edition Blu-rays last December for $70 each. Unfortunately, the artwork on these does not match the upcoming Final Season Steelbook. The other unfortunate thing here–if you don’t already have them–is that these aren’t always easy to find. If you want to buy directly from a major retailer, Season 1 is $70 at Amazon. It’s temporarily out of stock but still available to order. Season 2 is available directly from Walmart for 50% off. Season 3’s Steelbook, meanwhile, is currently only available from third-party resellers at both retailers.

Attack on Titan Seasons 1-3 – Limited Edition Steelbooks (Blu-ray)

Attack on Titan Standard Editions

If you don’t care about having Steelbook Editions for all four seasons, standard editions are available for each of the first three seasons. The Limited Edition for Season 2 is also available for about 10 bucks more than the standard. This version includes a 60-page art book and 24-page digibook. Season 2’s standard edition is the only one that’s actually more expensive than its Steelbook Edition.

Attack on Titan Seasons 1-4: Complete Editions (Blu-ray)

Each Blu-ray in the list below contains a complete season of Attack on Titan.

Just like with the Final Season, Seasons 1 and 3 were also originally released in multiple parts. Season 1 is still available in two parts on Blu-ray, but it’s almost always cheaper to buy the complete version instead.

Attack on Titan Fly: Collector’s Box Set

Attack on Titan 35: Fly Collector’s Box

Big Attack on Titan fans may be interested in checking out the recently released Attack on Titan Fly Collector’s Box Set. Published in June by Kodansha Comics, this unique, limited-edition collectible set is on sale for $189.33 (was $250) at Amazon. Notably, this box set contains the only English translation of Volume 35 of Attack on Titan, the true final volume in the original manga series. The box set also includes a 216-page hardcover art book and a number of additional collectibles:

  • Attack on Titan: Fly Art Book (216-page hardcover)
  • Attack on Titan: Volume 35 manga
  • Replica manuscript pages of Attack on Titan’s last chapter
  • Replica padlock and key from Eren’s family home
  • Scarf with “Eren to Mikasa” in script letters
  • Slipcase for Attack on Titan: Fly
  • Collector’s box

Attack on Titan Manga

Attack on Titan Manga Box Sets

Attack on Titan’s original 34-volume manga series has been collected in multiple budget-friendly editions over the years. For newcomers who want to read the manga and then watch the anime, one cool way to engage with the franchise is to check out the Attack on Titan box set editions of the manga and then watch the corresponding seasons. The manga box sets are named based on the events covered in the anime.

Each box set comes packaged in a slipcase and includes exclusive bonuses, which we’ve noted below. Notably, the box sets for Seasons 3-4 each include an extra book with exclusive Attack on Titan short stories. At the moment, you’d spend roughly $225 for the complete set of seven Attack on Titan box sets.

Attack on Titan Manga: Paperback Box Sets (Vol. 1-34)

Attack on Titan Manga: Omnibus Editions

Attack on Titan Manga Omnibus Editions

The second budget-friendly way to read Attack on Titan in physical format is to pick up the 12 Omnibus Editions for $20 (or less) each. The Omnibus Editions don’t include the extras, but these thick paperbacks are arguably better because they have larger pages and embossed cover art. The first 10 Omnibus Editions are 576 pages each and collect three volumes. Omnibus 11 (384 pages) and 12 (448 pages) contain two volumes each.

The combined MSRP for all 12 ($240) is substantially less than the combined MSRP of the box sets ($374). With current deals at Amazon, all 12 Omnibus Editions would cost you $196, so you’re saving about $30 compared to the box sets.

28 Years Later Steelbook Collector’s Edition Preorders Are Live At Amazon

by admin June 25, 2025

More than two decades after the release of 28 Days Later, director Danny Boyle and screenwriter Alex Garland have teamed up again for a new film beloved post-apocalyptic zombie franchise. 28 Years Later hit theaters on June 20, earning strong reviews from critics and fans. It’s the third entry in the series, though Boyle/Garland didn’t work on 28 Weeks Later, the 2007 standalone sequel. Fans may want to consider locking in a preorder for the 28 Years Later Steelbook Collector’s Edition, which is available for $45 and comes with 4K and 1080p Blu-ray discs as well as a digital copy.

At the time of writing, the Steelbook Collector’s Edition is the No. 1 best-selling movie on Amazon. It’s not uncommon for steelbook preorders that top Amazon’s charts to sell out. The 4K Blu-ray release date for 28 Years Later hasn’t been announced, but you won’t be charged until your order ships (likely two to three months from now).

If you need to refresh your memory before watching 28 Years Later, Prime Video has deals on the first two movies. You can buy 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later for $15 total.

$45

The official design of the steelbook case hasn’t been revealed yet. Placeholder art for all physical editions showcases the grisly Bone Temple from the movie. Typically, promotional materials like this are used for the standard editions, and steelbooks get their own unique exterior and interior art, so don’t be surprised if the Collector’s Edition’s case design is markedly different from this.

The Steelbook Collector’s Edition comes with 4K Blu-ray, 1080p Blu-ray, and digital copies of 28 Years Later.

Even if you don’t care about steelbook cases, it offers the best value at the moment. Both Amazon and Walmart have priced the Collector’s Edition at $45. Blu-ray pricing can be all over the place when preorders first open, and that’s reflected in the list below. The standard edition 4K Blu-ray is five bucks more at both retailers, and the 1080p version is $41. Amazon has the DVD of 28 Years Later for $35, which would be the most curious number here if it wasn’t for the $41 cost at Walmart.

Standard edition prices will likely drop in the coming weeks. You won’t be charged for your preorder until it ships, and you’ll get any deals offered before release. It’s also worth keeping in mind that steelbook preorders sometimes increase from their initial price.

  • Preorder Steelbook Collector’s Edition (4K Blu-ray)
  • Preorder 4K Blu-ray
  • Preorder Blu-ray
  • Preorder DVD

Special features haven’t been revealed yet, but we’re expecting the usual assortment of behind-the-scenes featurettes, interviews, and promotional materials.

As mentioned above, 28 Years Later is a sequel to 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later–there’s no 28 Months Later, much to our dismay–and it sees Boyle return to the director’s chair, armed with a script penned by Garland. The original film launched Garland’s Hollywood career and showcased Boyle’s impressive range as the director; it’s cool to see the pair team up again 23 years later on 28 Years Later (sorry).

Set almost three decades since the rage virus escaped a biological weapons laboratory, the UK is still cut off from the outside world, and this has given rise to new communities that survive amidst the chaos. One such outpost is located on a small island connected to the mainland by a single and heavily-defended causeway, and the film chronicles the journey of a group from that village who discover new secrets and horrors in the lands beyond their safe haven.

One of the interesting things about 28 years Later is that it was filmed with iPhone 15 smartphones–using custom-made lenses and specialized rigs–to create a unique look for the film. A sequel, 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, has already been filmed and will be out next year, and if both films are a success, there’ll be a threequel to finish off this new horror trilogy.

The previous films in the series are still worth watching, but in the case of 28 Days Later, there is a catch here. Even on Blu-ray, the movie looks pretty bad, but not because of a poor transfer or shoddy remastering. Partly due to strict time constraints on UK filmmakers looking to shoot their movies on location, Boyle and his team decided to go with lightweight Canon digital camcorders for production so that shoots could be lean and fast.

28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later on DVD

This allowed them to film the eerily abandoned streets of London quickly, but the downside here is that these cameras could only offer low-resolution digital footage that was then saved to MiniDV cassettes. Unlike film, upscaling from these tapes is extremely difficult, and this is made very evident by the final scenes of 28 Days Later that were shot with an Arri camera in a higher resolution.

As for 28 Weeks Later, it isn’t as widely loved as 28 Days Later, but it’s still a rock-solid zombie movie with several incredible scenes, if you don’t mind the overreliance on shaky-cam techniques employed by director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo.

Watch 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later

Both films are technically available on Blu-ray, but since they’ve been out of print for years now, the prices are rather high. The out-of-print DVD editions can also be fairly expensive, but you can get a combo pack with both films for $50-$60. It’s worth mentioning the editions in the box set display in 4:3 aspect ratio and will look best on CRT TVs. Widescreen editions of both movies are available to purchase separately.

As mentioned, you can also grab digital versions of 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later for low prices on Amazon.

A 4K Blu-ray edition of 28 Days Later is in the works, but we’re not certain if it’ll look better or worse in ultra-high-definition. Considering the picture quality, it’s best to go with the DVD or cheap digital versions of 28 Days Later for now. Fans can preorder the 28 Days Later 4K Steelbook Edition for $45, though it’s not expected to ship until December at the earliest.

Megan’s New 4K Blu-Ray Steelbook Is Only $27 On Launch Day

by admin June 25, 2025

Amazon and Walmart are offering nice discounts on the newly released Megan Limited Edition Steelbook, dropping the price to only $27. If you’re an Amazon Prime or Walmart+ member, you can get the 4K Blu-ray–and a collectible case featuring an AI doll who will stare at you from your display shelf–as soon as tomorrow. This means you’ll have time to rewatch the 2023 sci-fi horror hit before Megan 2.0 debuts in theaters this Friday, June 27.

$27 (was $35) | Released on June 24

Megan’s Limited Edition Steelbook includes the unrated and theatrical cuts on 4K Blu-ray, standard Blu-ray, and digital. You’ll also get a few behind-the-scenes bonus features:

Megan Steelbook Edition Special Features

  • A New Vision of Horror
  • Bringing Life to Megan
  • Getting Hacked

The back of the steelbook case has a diagram with Megan’s tech specs. The interior artwork is designed to look like the front cover of Megan’s user manual. It shows the scene where Megan reads to Cady. The right side recommends alternative outfits for the doll, and reminds customers that each outfit is sold separately.

Megan Limited Edition Steelbook

Megan tells the story of a lifelike doll equipped with highly advanced artificial intelligence. It’s supposed to serve as a friend to children and an assistant to parents–but when Megan begins going to extreme lengths to protect Cady, things get quite gruesome. It’s a science fiction horror film, but it’s also an effective dark comedy.

Though Megan treads extremely familiar territory as both a creepy doll movie and an exploration of the unintended horrors of AI, it’s one of the best modern horror films in both regards. Megan holds a 93 critic review average on Rotten Tomatoes and has numerous scenes that became memes on social media. But no matter how hard you try, it’s unlikely that you or your friends will reach Megan’s level when it comes to dancing ability.

It’s worth noting that Megan’s original 4K Blu-ray and and 1080p Blu-ray editions also include the unrated and theatrical cuts as well as the same bonus content. Plus, they are super cheap: The 4K edition is up for grabs for $15, while the standard Blu-ray is only $10.

The Girl Who Leapt Through Time 4K Steelbook Blu-Ray Announced

by admin June 21, 2025

Mamoru Hosoda has established himself as one of the best modern anime directors, having directed several critically acclaimed films over the past 20 years. Several of his movies have received new steelbook edition 4K Blu-ray releases in the past few months, and soon, his first movie, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, will join the collection. While there’s no release date set, listings are up at Amazon, and we expect it will be available soon. In the meantime, there are several other Hosoda films available for preorder and purchase now, including Wolf Children, Summer Wars, and Belle. We’ve compiled all the Hosoda 4K steelbook Blu-rays in the list below.

$37 | Relase date TBA

The Girl Who Leapt Through Time is Hosoda’s first film and originally released back in 2001. It follows Makoto Konno, a teenager who attains time-travel powers. At first, she uses her abilities to fix frivolous problems, but she quickly learns that meddling with timelines can have drastic consequences. This limited edition 4K Blu-ray release includes an exclusive steelbook case.

Bonus materials for the film haven’t been confirmed yet, but previous Blu-ray releases for The Girl Who Leapt Through Time include tons of excellent extras, and there’s a strong chance some of those are folded into this new 4K Steelbook Edition.

While The Girl Who Leapt Through Time 4K Steelbook Blu-ray is listed at Amazon, it doesn’t have a release date and is currently unavailable to purchase. We expect it’ll be in stock again soon, however. In the meantime, there are several other Hosoda films up for preorder and available to purchase now.

$37 | Releases on August 5

A 4K Steelbook of Hosoda’s 2012 film Wolf Children releases on August 5 and is available to preorder for $37 at Amazon. The movie tells the story of Hana, a human woman who falls in love with a werewolf and eventually gives birth to two half-wolf children. After her husband tragically dies, Hana moves to an old house in the countryside to raise her children in this touching tale about motherhood, loss, and family. Special features include a commentary track from the cast and crew, promotional materials, and more.

$30

Earlier this year, Hosuda’s Summer Wars also received a 4K Steelbook Edition available exclusively at Amazon. Summer Wars follows Kenji, a young student obsessed with virtual reality. Kenji’s friend Natsuki ropes him into a scheme where he poses as her girlfriend, but things go haywire when a rogue AI program steals his online identity and frames him for real-world catastrophes. With an imminent cyber-apocalypse on the horizon, Kenji and Natsuki’s family unite to save the day and clear his name. The Amazon-exclusive Summer Wars 4K Steelbook Blu-ray includes the movie, a collectible steelbook case, and a selection of special features like interviews with the cast and Hosoda.

$45.49

Lastly, there’s the 4K Steelbook Collector’s Edition of Hosoda’s newest film, Belle. This released back in 2022, and is available for $45.49 at Amazon. Belle follows Suzu, a high schooler who lives a double life. In reality, she’s a shy teenager who lives in a rural village–but online, she’s known as Belle, a wildly popular virtual-reality singer. When a mysterious beast crashes one of her online concerts, Suzu sets off on a journey to discover the truth behind the creature and her true self.

This 4K Collector’s Edition Blu-ray includes a 60-page art book, poster, sticker, and art cards, plus special features like behind-the-scenes production documentaries, music videos, and interviews.

Bob Odenkirk’s Nobody Getting 4K Steelbook Edition Ahead Of Sequel

by admin June 16, 2025

Forget about Marvel at the box office, because the real powerhouse films are action-thrillers about quiet dads on quests for revenge. One of the best new entries in the genre (yes, we consider it a real genre), Nobody, is getting a sequel on August 15. However, before that, it will also receive a new 4K steelbook Blu-ray edition on July 29. Preorders are available for $30 through Walmart and Gruv, and at Amazon for $35–though we expect Amazon’s pricing will change to match those other retailers ahead of release day. Good news is that if you preorder from Amazon, you won’t be charged until it ships, and you’ll only pay the lowest amount.

$30 | Releases July 29

The Nobody 4K steelbook edition features new cover art of the film’s cast and an interior design that references the infamous bus fight scene. This version of the film also comes with a standard Blu-ray copy and a digital streaming code. As for the extras, you’re getting deleted scenes, featurettes examining the action scenes of Nobody, and commentary tracks with star Bob Odenkirk and director Ilya Naishuller.

Nobody stars Odenkirk (Better Call Saul, Mr. Show) as Hutch Mansell, the titular “nobody” who lives a quiet pacifist life. After a particularly bad night, Hutch’s dark side from his days as a US Intelligence assassin reawakens, and events eventually lead him to take on the Russian mob as things gradually spiral out of control. Odenkirk spent two years preparing for the role so he could pull off the gnarly fight sequences where seemingly nothing is off limits.

We’ve rounded up a few more dad-out-for-revenge Blu-rays in the list below if you’re interested in adding more films from this definitely real and widely recognized genre to your collection. The Taken trilogy starring Liam Neeson and The Equalizer trilogy starring Denzel Washington are some of the best-known examples. There’s also the original John Wick–which, yes, is about a dog dad rather than an actual parent of human children, but we think it counts, especially since it was a major influence on Nobody. Check the links below for even more Blu-ray deals.

How To Train Your Dragon’s Steelbook Edition Includes A Collectible Medallion

by admin June 14, 2025

The live-action remake of How to Train Your Dragon hits theaters this weekend, but fans can already start thinking about adding it to their media shelves. Preorders for the remake and a two-movie collection with the original animated hit are live now at major retailers. Big fans will want to check out the eye-catching Limited Edition Steelbook on 4K Blu-ray, which is available to preorder for $40 at Amazon and comes with a collectible medallion inside the case. We’ll update this story when a release date and details about special features are announced.

Here’s a list of the seven editions of How to Train Your Dragon available to preorder at Amazon and Walmart.

Below, you can take a closer look at the Limited Edition Steelbook, 2-Movie Collection, and other How to Train Your Dragon Blu-rays that are already available today. To learn more about the franchise, read our roundup on the original book series that inspired the DreamWorks series.

$40 at Amazon | $47 at Walmart

The How to Train Your Dragon Limited Edition Steelbook has a striking teal color with bright gold accents. The interior of the case features key art from the remake and slots for the 4K Blu-ray and 1080p Blu-ray discs. You’ll also find a magnetic medallion emblazoned with the same swirling dragon emblem that’s on the case.

We don’t have any information about bonus features just yet, but we’d expect to see the usual assortment of behind-the-scenes documentaries, interviews, audio commentary, and more.

Amazon currently has lower prices for most editions of How to Train Your Dragon, including the Limited Edition Steelbook. As we get closer to release, we’d expect Amazon and Walmart to offer the same prices. Both retailers offer preorder price guarantees, so you’ll get the best price from the time you order until release and won’t be charged until your preorder ships.

If you don’t care about steelbook cases or magnetic medallions, a regular edition 4K Blu-ray is up for preorder for $30. Standard 1080p Blu-ray preorders are $25, while the DVD edition costs $20.

$40

This collection includes both the original animated version of How to Train Your Dragon and the live-action remake. Unlike the 4K Blu-ray edition of the remake, you won’t get 1080p Blu-ray discs with this one, but it still includes digital copies of both films. We’d expect the 2-Movie Collection to release the same day as the standalone editions above.

Amazon has the 2-Movie Collection for $40, so you’re essentially paying an extra 10 bucks to get the animated original on 4K. The price difference shrinks with the standard Blu-ray combo pack ($30) and DVD ($23).

The How to Train Your Dragon series features three mainline animated films and a lengthy TV series that started on Cartoon Network before moving to Netflix after Season 2 as Dragons: Race to the Edge. The series concluded with 118 episodes across eight seasons.

All three films are available on 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray, while physical editions of the TV series have been mostly confined to DVD.

Jordan Peele Limited Edition Steelbook Collection Drops To Best Price Yet

by admin May 31, 2025

Jordan Peele fans can add a limited-edition 4K Blu-ray combo pack to their collection for cheap right now. Amazon has the Get Out / Us Double Feature: Limited Edition Steelbook discounted to only $26. Released last October with an MSRP of $46, this four-disc collection cleverly combines the memorable key art from both horror hits to create a unique display piece. The $26 price is a new all-time low for the Get Out / Us Steelbook. This deal is so good that you’d actually pay more for the 2019 version of the 4K Double Feature with a standard plastic case ($30).

$26 (was $46)

The Us / Get Out Double Feature – Limited Edition Steelbook

The four-disc set includes 4K Blu-ray and standard Blu-ray discs as well as digital versions of each film and a bunch of special features. We’ve included lists of bonus content for each movie at the bottom of this story. Unfortunately, there isn’t a 4K Blu-ray box set featuring all three of Peele’s movies. There is, however, a Jordan Peele 3-Movie Collection with Get Out, Us, and Nope on 1080p Blu-ray for $19.47 (was $45) at Amazon.

But if you pick up the deal on the Limited Edition Steelbook, you could pair it with Nope’s 4K Blu-ray Collector’s Edition for only $17. If you go that route, you’ll be getting all three of Peele’s movies on 4K Blu-ray and 1080p Blu-ray for $43–as well as a cool steelbook case.

Get Out (2017) and Us (2019) are widely regarded as two of the best modern horror films. Peele wrote, directed, and produced both movies. For Get Out, his directorial debut, Peele won the Academy Award for Best Screenplay and was nominated for Best Director. Get Out also earned a Best Picture nomination, and lead actor Daniel Kaluuya was nominated for Best Actor.

Kaluuya also starred in the 2022 movie Nope, Peele’s third and most recent directorial project. Nope garnered widespread critical acclaim and showcased Peele’s range within the horror genre. While his first two movies were psychological horror, Nope was a compelling mix of horror, science fiction, and neo-Western.

Here’s a look at the special features for the 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray versions of Get Out, Us, and Nope. The 4K Blu-ray editions support Dolby Vision and HDR10.

Special Features for Get Out

  • Audio commentary by Jordan Peele
  • Unveiling the Horror of Get Out
  • Q&A with Jordan Peele and the cast
  • Alternate ending with optional commentary from Peele
  • Deleted scenes with optional commentary from Peele

Special Features for Us

  • The Monsters Within Us
  • Tethered Together: Making Us Twice
  • Redefining a Genre: Jordan Peele’s Brand of Horror
  • The Duality of Us
  • Becoming Red
  • We’re All Dying
  • Scene Explorations
  • As Above, So Below: Grand Pas de Deux
  • Deleted scenes

Special Features for Nope

  • Shadows: The Making of Nope
  • Call Him Jean Jacket
  • Mystery Man of Muybridge
  • Deleted scenes

Get New Lord Of The Rings 4K Steelbook Editions For Only $28 Each

by admin May 29, 2025

The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers 4K Steelbook Edition released this week alongside a reprint of Fellowship of the Ring’s matching edition. Fellowship was a Walmart exclusive when it first launched earlier this year, and it had appeared like The Two Towers would continue that trend. But that turned out not to be the case, and now both collectible editions are up for grabs for $28 each at Amazon and Walmart. We wouldn’t be surprised to see both movies sell out soon at Amazon, especially since there’s a 20% discount at the moment.

These standalone releases cost considerably less than the previously released LOTR Trilogy Steelbook Collection. But to be clear, the steelbook designs and artwork are pulled from that box set, so there’s really no need to buy these if you already own the collection. But for fans who don’t have the box set, now’s your chance to get two LOTR 4K Blu-rays with gorgeous steelbook cases (and digital copies) for $56 total.

$28 (was $35) | Available Now

The Fellowship of the Ring’s standalone Steelbook Edition originally released on January 7 as a Walmart exclusive. The retailer sold out of copies multiple times in the weeks before and after launch, so it’s nice that fans who missed out can still buy it alongside The Two Towers.

Unlike The Lord of the Rings Trilogy 4K Blu-ray sets, the standalone release of Fellowship of the Ring also includes the digital version of the first film in the trilogy.

You’ll get the theatrical and extended versions of the movie in both formats. If you haven’t watched the extended editions–all three films have one–they are definitely worth the time investment.

The extended cut adds 30 minutes to the overall runtime and is spread across two discs.

  • Theatrical Edition (Disc 1) – 178 minutes (2 hours and 58 minutes)
  • Extended Edition (Discs 2-3) – 208 minutes (3 hours and 28 minutes)

Once again, The Two Towers Limited Edition Steelbook is the same as the one that comes with the The Lord of the Rings Trilogy Steelbook Box Set. But just like with The Fellowship of the Ring, you’ll get 4K Blu-ray and digital versions of The Two Towers.

The 4K Steelbook Edition comes with the theatrical and extended cuts of The Two Towers on three discs. The extended cut adds 44 minutes to the film and is split across two discs.

  • Theatrical Edition – 179 minutes (2 hours and 59 minutes)
  • Extended Edition – 223 minutes (3 hours and 43 minutes)

It seems like only a matter of time before The Return of the King gets a standalone release in Limited Edition Steelbook format.

If you haven’t watched The Lord of the Rings on 4K Blu-ray, all three films (and The Hobbit Trilogy) look and sound beautiful. Along with upscaled 4K visuals, The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and The Return of the King support Dolby Vision and HDR10 on compatible displays. The audio experience can be enhanced with Dolby Atmos or Dolby TrueHD 7.1 surround sound.

These are the only standalone 4K Blu-ray editions of The Fellowship of the Ring and The Two Towers in North America. Jackson’s Tolkien adaptations are almost exclusively printed as trilogy box sets on 4K Blu-ray and/or Blu-ray.

Although the new Steelbook Editions offer a budget-friendly way to get collectible versions of Peter Jackson’s excellent adaptations of J.R.R. Tolkien’s fantasy classic, there are still cheaper ways to buy the films on 4K. Here’s a quick look at 4K Blu-ray releases of Jackson’s six Middle-earth movies. You can also get the recently released Lord of the Rings anime on 4K Blu-ray for $20 at Walmart.

Peter Jackson’s Tolkien Adaptations in 4K

You can take a closer look at The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit Steelbook Trilogy Collections below.

$180

The Lord of the Rings Trilogy Steelbook Box Set received a reprint in March, but it’s no longer available directly from major retailers. That said, you can buy it from third-party resellers for right around retail price.

Compared to the standalone releases, the box set generally feels a pricey these days, especially since you miss out on digital versions of the film. It does, however, come with a nice steelbook slipcase for all three films.

That said, if The Return of the King gets a standalone Limited Edition Steelbook release, you’ll probably be able to snag steelbooks for all three films for under $100.

The Lord of the Rings Trilogy’s standard 4K Blu-ray box set is available for $67.80 at Amazon–more than $100 cheaper than this steelbook set.

$170

Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit Trilogy also has a Limited Edition Steelbook box set. Unsurprisingly, The Hobbit Trilogy has never been as popular as LOTR, so this one typically isn’t as difficult to find in stock for around retail price. But if you want to get steelbook editions of all six of Peter Jackson’s Middle-earth films, you can grab this box set for $170 from Amazon.

It’s unclear if The Hobbit films will ever receive standalone steelbook releases. For now, the only way to get a 4K edition of any of the three Hobbit films with a steelbook case is to pick up the box set.

Like The Lord of the Rings Trilogy Steelbook, this set only comes with 4K Blu-ray editions of each film, but you will get the theatrical and extended cuts of each.

It is worth emphasizing that The Hobbit Trilogy’s standard 4K Blu-ray box set is substantially cheaper than this set. Right now, you can get The Hobbit Trilogy for $43 at Amazon.

The Lord of the Rings Collectible Books & Box Sets

The Lord of the Rings Deluxe Illustrated Edition | The Collected Poems of J.R.R. Tolkien

Lord of the Rings fans who are interested in adding collectible editions of Tolkien’s original novels to their shelves can save big on arguably the best-looking edition of The Lord of the Rings at Amazon. The Lord of the Rings: Deluxe Illustrated Edition is on sale for $146 at Amazon, which is the best price we’ve seen and a savings of $179.

Published last October with a staggering $325 price tag, this expanded edition of the beloved 1992 three-volume collection includes stunning hardcover editions of each part of LOTR accompanied by dozens of drawings and paintings by Alan Lee. More than 50 of the illustrations are new to the remastered edition.

Quarterbound leather and cloth board bindings make these editions feel and look quite beautiful. The covers have original artwork by Lee in the center, and all of the symbols and lettering on the front and spines are foil-stamped in silver. Each book has sprayed top and bottom edges as well as illustrated side edges. Those illustrations match Lee’s Mount Doom artwork found on the interior walls of the custom-designed cloth board slipcase. This handsome box set also comes with three art cards and two foldout maps created by Christopher Tolkien.

The Lord of the Rings Collector’s Editions (2024)

Alternatively, the more budget-friendly Lord of the Rings Collector’s Edition Hardcover Box Set is on sale for $49.45 at Amazon. All three volumes of The Lord of the Rings have foil-stamped cover art, stained edges, ribbon bookmarks, and maps on the inside of these elegantly bound hardcovers. You can also save big on each of the three volumes on their own as well as matching Collector’s Editions of The Hobbit and The Silmarillion.

Fans can also get substantial discounts on the 2024 History of Middle-earth Hardcover Box Sets. With 15 books in total–including The Silmarillion–these four gorgeous collections compile the entirety of Tolkien’s legendarium, which the author’s son, Christopher Tolkien, edited and expanded to create the lengthy series now known as The History of Middle-earth.

William Morrow is continuing this box set project in June with Tolkien Myths and Legends, a four-book box set featuring two Tolkien works inspired by English literature and two books that Tolkien personally translated. In August, the sixth collection in the series, The Great Tales of Middle-earth, will be published. This set comes with Tolkien’s final three posthumously published Middle-earth novels: The Children of Húrin (2007), Beren and Lúthien (2017), and The Fall of Gondolin (2018).
