GTA 5’s Stars Sell You On ROG Xbox Ally Handhelds

by admin September 28, 2025

To promote preorders for the ROG Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X, Asus looked to one of the most popular video games of all time: Grand Theft Auto V. Michael De Santa actor Ned Luke and Franklin Clinton actor Shawn Fonteno appear in a new social media ad talking about the upcoming portable PC devices.

“It’s handheld freedom for everybody,” says Fonteno in the clip posted on X by Asus. “You know you gotta have an ally, and Xbox picked the right Ally,” adds Luke. Microsoft and Asus finally revealed the price points for the two PC portable devices yesterday. The ROG Xbox Ally will cost $600 in the US, while the Xbox Ally X will cost $1,000. Both handhelds will launch October 16.

The base model ROG Xbox Ally has drawn comparisons to the Steam Deck OLED from a specs perspective, featuring an AMD Ryzen Z2 A processor (Zen 4), 16GB of DDR5 RAM, and a 512GB SSD. Meanwhile, the premium Xbox Ally X has an AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor (Zen 5), 24GB DDR5 RAM, and a 1TB SSD. In June, GameSpot got hands-on time with the Xbox Ally X.

Asus announced that the GTA V stars would “help get folks aboard the ROG Xbox Ally hype train” last month. Previously, the company has worked with GTA V star Steven Ogg (Trevor Philips), too.

Earlier this month, Microsoft revealed that it was raising Xbox prices once again in the US. Starting October 3, the Xbox Series S will retail for $400 (up from $380), while the Xbox Series X 1TB will cost $650 (up from $600).

The Social Network 2 is coming next fall and stars Jeremy Strong as Mark Zuckerberg

by admin September 27, 2025

The long-awaited sequel to The Social Network will hit theaters next fall, according to a report by Deadline. The official release date is set for October 9, 2026, which is just about 16 years after the first film dropped.

We also have plenty of other information, including the full cast and the actual name of the movie. The official name is The Social Reckoning, which makes sense as the movie follows recent events in which Facebook got into legal and political trouble when a whistleblower alleged that the company knew the platform was harming society but did nothing about it.

The cast is being led by Jeremy Strong from Succession, who takes over Zuckerberg duties from actor Jesse Eisenberg. Mikey Madison is playing the aforementioned whistle blower Frances Haugen and The Bear’s Jeremy Allen White portrays Wall Street Journal reporter Jeff Horowitz.

Bill Burr is also appearing in this flick, though we don’t know in what capacity. The Hollywood Reporter has suggested he will play a fictional character invented for the film that will be an amalgamation of several people. Aaron Sorkin is both writing and directing this one. He wrote the first movie, but David Fincher directed it.

No return timelines set for 76ers stars Embiid, George

by admin September 26, 2025

Jeff Borzello is a basketball recruiting insider. He has joined ESPN in 2014.

CAMDEN, New Jersey — There isn’t a definitive timeline for Philadelphia 76ers stars Joel Embiid and Paul George to return from their respective knee surgeries, both players said Friday at the team’s media day.

Embiid said he feels “pretty good” but he’s taking it day-by-day and checking boxes as he progresses toward a return.

“There’s not necessarily an expectation; it’s more about making sure everything is right and doing everything right and then go from there,” he said. “Obviously the goal is to play consistently and not be the position that we were last year.”

Embiid was limited to 19 games last season due to his ongoing left knee injury and a foot sprain, officially shutting down his campaign in late February. He averaged 23.8 points per game, his fewest since the 2019-20 season, and 8.2 rebounds, the former NBA MVP’s fewest since his rookie year in 2016-17.

He underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee in April, with a reevaluation timeline of six weeks. Friday’s media day, however, was the first official health update since the surgery and the first time Embiid has spoken publicly since February.

Embiid was asked whether there were any on-court adjustments he could make moving forward to avoid injury.

“At times you can’t get out of yourself,” he said. “All I know is, ever since I started this, to play hard, play both ends. There’s a lot of people in the league that play one side, whether it’s offense or defense. A lot of times for me, my mentality is to do whatever it takes to win. For all of my career, it’s been having to do both.”

“I’ve gotten to this point because of how good I am at both ends of the floor. If you ask me to change the way I play, the only guess that I have is either play offense fully and take plays off defensively, which doesn’t suit me,” Embiid continued. “I don’t think I’d ever be OK with that. I don’t know. We’ll just wait and see. If it’s gotta be that way, it’s definitely gonna be an adjustment, but I don’t see that happening.”

George underwent an arthroscopic procedure on his left knee in July after suffering an injury during a workout and was expected to be reevaluated in September. He played in just 41 games last season after signing a four-year, $212 million maximum contract with Philadelphia in the summer of 2024. The nine-time NBA All-Star dealt with a number of ailments last season, before receiving injections in his left adductor muscle and left knee and shutting down his season in March.

“I’m getting better and better. Feeling stronger and stronger,” George said. “This next couple of weeks is very important, leading into the start of the season, opening night, all of that stuff. All I can do is just focus on doing that, day after day, taking it one day at a time. I do think I will be at a good place, hopefully, earlier than later.”

He said he can do “pretty much everything but full contact.” George won’t be fully ready for the start of training camp, but the swelling in his knee is going down.

“I don’t think there’s a timeline,” he said, “just how the body is doing as we’re ramping up the work.”

The 6-foot-8 forward averaged just 16.2 points last season, his fewest since his six-game 2014-15 campaign. George has played more than 56 games in a season just once since 2018-19.

“It can’t get worse than last year,” he said. “That was a rock bottom kind of season.”

The Stars of ‘Gachiakuta’ Say the Anime Is More Than Just Its Fights

by admin September 25, 2025

Gachiakuta is a new shonen anime series that expands the phrase “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure” into a full-blown revenge saga. Animated by Studio Bones, known for its work on My Hero Academia, its story follows Rudo, a boy cast into the Pit, a literal abyss at the edge of an apartheid world, after being falsely accused and exiled from the floating city of Spherite.

From there, the thrust of the show sees Rudo join up with a group of superpowered misfits known as the Cleaners, who wield treasured items with personal meaning as weapons as he claws his way back to the surface world to exact his vengeance.

As the anime wraps its first cour and gears up for the second half of its 24-episode season, io9 spoke with voice actors Bryson Baugus (Rudo) and Christopher Wehkamp (Enjin) about stepping into the booth to portray a fresh take on the classic shonen mentor-student dynamic, and what it means to bring these characters to life in a series that turns trash TV into something trancendent.

This interview has been edited for brevity.

Isaiah Colbert, io9: Fans are already calling Gachiakuta the next big thing in shonen. What do you think gives it that special spark that sets it apart from classic and contemporary action anime that came before it?

Bryson Baugus: Very much the art style of [Gachiakuta] is key—the first thing that you notice about it. Nothing out there right now looks quite like Gachiakuta does. The character designs are so unique, the fashion is there, [and] the graffiti art is wonderful. With the anime, the music is crazy good. All you really need to do to get people to check something out is to have that eye catch. And once they get in there, they see these characters interacting with each other. They see the relationships that are building, the world’s mysteries, and it really hooks the viewers.

What makes this stand out as opposed to a handful of other shonen that I’ve seen in the past is that it really likes to take its time in establishing these characters, their relationships, and this world-building, as opposed to jumping from fight to fight to fight to fight.

Christopher Wehkamp: I agree with all of that. The only thing I would add to it is just that once you get past that eye catch and you start checking [Gachiakuta] out, the power system in this story is really interesting. It gives you something to think about yourself, and it gives you something to kind of ponder on—the way that the power system seems to really indicate the backstories and the key moments of these characters.

Even just seeing a new character and then seeing what their “jinki” is gets your mind going on “What does that mean for them? Where did that come from?” and “How does that tie into what I’m seeing with this character?” That’s a really cool recurring theme. Once you get in the door, there’s a lot to dig into here. It does have good fights too—every shonen needs to have good fights—but like Bryson said, there’s a lot more to it there.

io9: We talked about Gachiakuta’s world being unique. I ascertained it being like a chaotic blend of Mad Max‘s grit with a graffiti punk Borderlands flair to it. Plus, there’s some trash kaiju monsters thrown into the mix. Do you have any voice acting rituals or mental prep you use to tap into that energy before stepping into the booth?

Baugus: I just generally try to stay hydrated. Rudo has a bit of a raspy kind of grittiness to his voice that I don’t typically do in a lot of other characters, so I try to make sure that I’ve got some warm tea, and then I just go into it. I just jump into the deep end as soon as I’m there to record.

Wehkamp: I developed a ritual back in 2018 or so. I had a particularly busy season where I was voicing something like seven different characters in seven different shows. Not all of them were big characters, but they were all kind of starting to blend together in my mind. I would go into the studio and depending on what I had that day, I started associating different characters with different musical genres or artists. And so I would make a little playlist and I would listen to songs on my way in.

Now, anytime I have a recurring character, whether it’s an anime, video game, or whatever it happens to be, I’ll associate some kind of music with it. If I get to drive into the studio to do it, I will just put that on, and that helps to get me in the mindset that I’ve associated with the character. That way, when I’m walking into the both, I’m already there. I’m in the zone for that wolrld for that character. It doesn’t always work when I’m recording from home. I have to sit in the booth and turn on Spotify for a little bit that’ll get me there too. I don’t do this all the time, but it helps with characters that I know I’m gonna be coming back to as I associate it with music in my mind.

io9: What’s a song that you play to get into the mood for Enjin?

Wehkamp: I have what I call a roots rock playlist, and so it’s not necessarily any one band. I like the fact that when I put in a playlist versus a band, it’s gonna throw songs at me that I’ve maybe never heard from artist I’ve never heard. In a way, that actually creates the association in my mind even better. It’s less about the band and the actual song; it’s more about the vibe. I couldn’t even tell you one off the top of my head right now, honestly, I just put on a playlist. It’s a lot like five-string bass, blues progressions, really deep-throated, dirty rock, so that really seems to be the vibe for me. I really like your Mad Max comparison, too! I’m a huge Mad Max fan, and that’s a great comparison.

io9: Shonen heroes often feel like they carry the weight of the world on their shoulders as they venture off into an adventure. Rudo’s, however, is one steeped in a Greek tragedy vengeance tale. How did you approach voicing a character constantly balancing between rage, grief, and hope?

Baugus: I try to think about where he sits at his core. I feel like he does have that anger to him, and I feel like he definitely has those moments where he lets it overtake him, for sure. But at his core, he’s still just a very misunderstood kid who’s trying to find his people out there. He’s been rejected his whole life. He’s had Regto as a father figure, [but] that’s about all he’s had. He had Chiwa when he was up in the Sphere as a good friend that he grew up with, but when things happen and he no longer has Chiwa around anymore, he’s on the ground looking to recapture a lot of those relationships—trying to find that family he never really had.

And so, I come at him from a vulnerability as opposed to lashing out in anger at everything. He has those moments, but I feel like his default state is a little bit more introspective. He’s thinking to himself about what’s going on, and he’s taking in what’s happening around him. I think he’s learning from everyone around him how to handle certain situations that he’s never encountered before, or how to better handle situations than he used to.

io9: Enjin joins a long line of shonen anime mentor-type characters. If you could describe Enjin’s philosophy in a few words—something he’d pass on to Rudo as sage advice—what would it be?

Wehkamp: I think right away he’s drawn to what he perceives as Rudo’s potential. I could think maybe there’s something in there beyond, “He would be a great fit for the Cleaners,” or “He could sure kill a lot of trash beasts.” There seems to be more that he recognizes as valuable in that. For me, I think he’s going to end up being the reason why Rudo is able to acclimate and find a place for himself on the Ground. Where that goes from there, obviously, we don’t know, but I’m so interested in finding out.

I do think that the Cleaners, as an organization, seem to be really hyper-focused on hunting down trash beasts. But there’s so much more to being a giver than just using these things to kill beasts. Potentially, there could be a whole lot more to do in this world for these guys.
There’s still so little we know and so I’m very excited to see how this all comes to fruition. Within these first 11 episodes, [Bones has] given us so many little tantalizing clues about where it could be headed, so I can’t wait to find out.

io9: If you lived in the world of Gachiakuta and had a giver power, what personal item of yours would be your vital instrument, and what ability would it give you?

Baugus: I have a little old copy of a Game Boy Advance game for Mega Man Battle Network 2 that the label has been completely peeled off after years of being through hell and back. I put a little Sharpie with the name on it and everything. I’d probably treasure that, and that would turn into something like a like a catch-all game card that lets me say, “I want to play this right now,” and it becomes that game. I think that’d be cool.

Wehkamp: I was a drummer in bands all the way through my 20s, so that was a a big part of my life before I ever started doing VO work. I still have my drumsticks that I started cutting my teeth on back when I was 14 or 15 years old. They’re beat up, destroyed. But I would love to be able to pull those out anywhere I am, and a ghostly drum set will appear, and I could start jamming anywhere. And also it’s full volume to me, but nobody else can hear it, so I don’t have to bother anybody at the sandwich shop. I think that would confuse a lot of people around me to see that, but I would love it; that’d be great.

New episodes of Gachiakuta air every Sunday on Crunchyroll.

James Gunn May Have Spoiled Some ‘Superman’ Stars Coming to the ‘Peacemaker’ Season 2 Finale

by admin September 24, 2025

As Peacemaker‘s second season has been unfolding, its final stretch of episodes has been kept under lock and key to prevent spoilers from spreading online. Only the first five episodes (of eight total) were sent to reviewers, specifically because DC Studios head honcho James Gunn didn’t want to ruin any big moments. That includes not telling his publicist what’s what. Which makes the whole secrecy surrounding Peacemaker season two’s finale all the more ironic, as Gunn wound up spoiling it himself.

According to GamesRadar+, in the director’s commentary of Superman, Gunn revealed that he recycled a set from the film where government authority figures were trying to figure out what to do with the Kryptonian, teasing that some other Superman characters would be making their return in Peacemaker.

“The Saturday after we did [this Superman scene], we shot a scene from Peacemaker [season two] episode eight, because it had a lot of the same cast from Superman,” Gunn said. “It had James [Hiroyuki Liao] as Mori and Frank [Grillo] as Rick Flag, and then a couple of other people. I think this will have already aired when this director’s commentary comes out, but I’m not sure actually—I’ll leave the secrets there.”

Seeing as how Gunn went on record to say that Superman‘s digital release came way uncharacteristically early to make way for Peacemaker, Gunn being the inception point of spilling the beans on a Superman spoiler, however vauge, is almost ironic given he’s had to do damange control from rampant DC Studios rumors about film plots telling fans to chill out and not believe anything unless it comes from him.

While Gunn doesn’t go on to outright reveal whether those other people would be Nicholas Hoult’s Lex Luthor or David Corenswet’s Clark Kent, who are already poised for an uncanny team-up in the sequel Superman film Man of Tomorrow, there’s enough evidence to suggest that at least the latter will make an appearance in Peacemaker.

The above whoopsie daisy on Gunn’s part retroactively made a seemingly innocuous post from Corenswet, made earlier this month, seem less like a passing of the torch from Superman to Peacemaker as DC Studios’ new obsession, and more like a straight-up spoiler in plain sight, all but confirming his appearance. At the time, Corenswet’s post was characterized online as him visiting the Peacemaker set while shooting Superman and taking a quick candid photo with John Cena to drum up hype for the show.

Given Peacemaker‘s track record of wasting no time to reveal Cena’s Christopher Smith is not a huge fan of big blue in its opening scene, retconning the Justice Gang appearing instead of the Justice League in its season one finale, the likelihood the two will square off at some point in Peacemaker‘s safeguarded season two finale feels all but assured.

Another piece of evidence supporting this theory is James Gunn’s own wife and Peacemaker star Jennifer Holland, who revealed to Phase Hero podcast that the final three episodes would have significant implications for the rebooted DC universe moving forward. Gunn shared the same sentiment, saying this season would “directly” tie into Man of Tomorrow in the same interview. Still, Gunn acquiesced to not wanting the big moment to be spoiled.

“It could mean they’re terrible,” Gunn said on the Phase Hero podcast. “That is one option. Or it could mean that there’s a lot of major twists and turns in the last three episodes… I really don’t want what’s in those last three episodes to be spoiled. And so I’m keeping them close to the chest. I won’t even let my publicist see them. That’s the god’s honest truth.”

Whatever the case, Superman fans will have to tune in to Peacemaker and find out if Clark Kent, Lex Luthor, or any other prominent cast members will make an appearance when new episodes of the show air on Thursday night on HBO Max.

Coyotes review: Justin Long stars in a very silly movie about when animals attack

by admin September 21, 2025

Coyotes stars Justin Long and Kate Bosworth as a couple doing battle with a pack of rabid dogs, in a comedy-horror that leans into laughs rather than scares.

Coyotes concerns a very real problem facing the people of Los Angeles, and over the opening credits, that phenomenon is explained via news reports.

Thanks to a spate of wildfires, coyotes have been pushed deeper and deeper into LA neighborhoods, and these opportunistic predators are now doing whatever it takes to survive.

Article continues after ad

That’s the jumping off point for director Colin Minihan’s new horror movie, which addresses a serious subject, in the silliest way imaginable.

What is Coyotes about?

Aura Entertainment

Following a prologue that sees a Paris Hilton type mauled by one of the title characters, the story proper introduces a family living in the Hollywood Hills – Scott and Liv (played by real-life couple Justin Long and Kate Bosworth) and their teenage daughter Chloe (Mila Harris).

Article continues after ad

They seem happy, though have an apparent problem with rats in their beautiful home, which is revealed to them by an eccentric exterminator called Devon (Keir O’Donnell, channelling John Goodman in the similarly themed Arachnaphobia).

Article continues after ad

While they’re waiting for Devon to wipe the rodents out as a way of sending a message to all other vermin in the area, a storm arrives on their doorstep, knocking down trees, and killing their power.

Which is when the coyotes appear, seeming vaguely threatening at first, before becoming more direct by growling, bearing their teeth, and then going on the attack.

“I think it wanted to eat you” a confused Liv tells Scott during a particularly concerning coyote interaction, and as more of the rabid beasts congregate on their lawn, then try to get into their house, it becomes apparent that the family is facing a fight for their lives.

Wild animals vs wild characters

That story is told with its tongue firmly in cheek, as potential victims are painted in the broadest of brush-strokes, and oftentimes asking for the doggie assault that’s coming their way.

Article continues after ad

From the coked up neighbor and drunk Irishman in a shell-suit to the sex worker obsessed with conspiracy theories, Coyotes is filled with colorful characters that aren’t to be taken seriously.

Meaning each ultra-violent death is played for laughs, from a tragic barbecue demise to a shocking ribcage cameo, they’re memorable deaths, but the type that will inspire more laughs than scares.

Article continues after ad

That said, there are moments of levity in the movie, thanks to Liv’s issues with Scott’s workaholic tendencies. Indeed, his comic book career and obsession inspires some interesting visuals, character introductions, and jokes, but also threatens to tear his family apart.

Though every time Coyotes flirts with getting serious on that front, the script by Ted Daggerhart, Daniel Meersand, and Nick Simon undercuts the tension, most notably in a hilarious scene where Scott pours his heart out to a wife who can’t hear him.

Is Coyotes good?

Aura Entertainment

Coyotes is a fun film that delivers on the promise of wild dogs doing battle with dumb humans, while Justin Long – as ever – is a likeable lead, who has you rooting for his character, in spite of some truly terrible decisions.

But there’s a fatal flaw in many of those scenes, as the coyotes rarely look real. Indeed, there are times when the movie feels like live-action merged with bad animation, and all that computer-generated imagery frequently takes you out of the movie.

Article continues after ad

If audiences can put up with that issue however, the horror and comedy elements complement each other nicely, while Coyotes deserves bonus points for not demonising the coyotes themselves, thanks to a surprising sting in the tale/tail…

Coyotes score: 3/5

If you can ignore the bad CGI, and like a broad comedy about even broader characters, Coyotes is a decent entry in the ‘when animals attack’ genre, that manages to sneak in an important environmental message.

Coyotes was reviewed at Fantastic Fest, while the film hits theaters on September 29, 2025. While for more scary stuff, check out our list of the best horror movies ever.

Nintendo rebrands transmedia division from Warpstar to Nintendo Stars

by admin September 1, 2025

Nintendo has rebranded its transmedia division, changing the name from Warpstar Inc. to Nintendo Stars.

Warpstar is a consolidated subsidiary launched just last April to manage its film, TV, and other transmedia business. Now, however, in a memo posted to the official Nintendo Japan website, the company said it was “strengthening” the “ancillary use” of films featuring Nintendo IP and expanding it to also encompass live events and merchandise, “through project development, licensing, and other means.”

“By implementing and licensing various ancillary uses in films, Nintendo Stars Inc. aims to familiarize people around the world with Nintendo IP and provide new ways to experience it,” the statement added (thanks, GameDeveloper).

The press release also hinted that Nintendo Stars as it’s now known, will continue its development of the Kirby franchise, by “utilizing the know-how cultivated in this business,” and “expand[ing] the number of people who have access to Nintendo IP through cooperation with partners around the world, and strengthen the relationship between Nintendo and its customers.”

The statement also reminded investors that there’s a new animated film based on Super Mario Bros. scheduled to release on April 3, 2026, and a live-action film based The Legend of Zelda slated to debut on May 7, 2027.

The Hunting Wives star’s new Netflix crime drama is dropping very soon

by admin August 21, 2025

If you’re looking for something new on Netflix after The Hunting Wives, you’re in luck: Brittany Snow is starring in another crime drama, and it looks fantastic.

The Hunting Wives technically isn’t a Netflix series. It’s on Netflix, but it doesn’t feature the streaming service’s logo at the start, nor is it classified as a Netflix original. Starz licensed it to the platform for a year in the US, and it’s been a huge success, topping the country’s Luminate ratings.

Article continues after ad

Unfortunately, we could be waiting a while for The Hunting Wives Season 2 to be confirmed, so fans will need to find another show to watch.

If Wednesday Season 2 or Stranger Things Season 5 isn’t up your alley, you’ll happy to know that Snow (who plays Sophie O’Neill) has teamed with Netflix for a new series.

Brittany Snow’s The Beast in Me is coming to Netflix soon

The Beast in Me, a new series from Gabe Rotter (who wrote The X-Files Season 11), will premiere on Netflix on November 13, 2025.

As per Netflix, the show will follow Aggie Wiggs (Clair Danes), an acclaimed author who “has receded from public life since the tragic death of her young son, unable to write, a ghost of her former self.”

“But she finds an unlikely subject for a new book when the house next door is bought by Nile Jarvis (Matthew Rhys), a famed and formidable real estate mogul who was once the prime suspect in his wife’s disappearance,” the synopsis continues.

“At once horrified and fascinated by this man, Aggie finds herself compulsively hunting for the truth – chasing his demons while fleeing her own – in a game of cat and mouse that might turn deadly.”

So, where does Snow come in? She plays Nina, Niles’ wife who becomes Aggie’s neighbor – so, we can expect things to be more than a little tense between them. It’s unclear how big her role will be in the show, but she’s listed high on its cast list, above the likes of Jonathan Banks and Deirdre O’Connell, so she could be a substantial (or perhaps briefly seen, but crucial) character.

“Brittany Snow supremacy continues on,” one user tweeted. “Brittany Snow lovers are being fed,” another wrote. “We waited long enough damn I missed my little blondie,” a third posted.

There have also been lots of posts on social media demanding The Hunting Wives Season 2. Rest assured, Snow wants it to happen.

“I think the end is really interesting and I know that we would deal with it in Season 2,” she teased to teased to Collider.

Ninja defends Kai Cenat as Twitch star’s Fortnite skin sparks criticism

by admin August 21, 2025

Ninja is coming to the defense of Twitch star Kai Cenat after Fortnite added his skin to the game ahead of prominent creators more associated with the battle royale.

On August 19, Kai Cenat unveiled his new Fortnite skin, part of the Icon Series lineup, on the Las Vegas Sphere.

While Kai is one of the biggest names in the streaming world, some fans have taken issue with the AMP star getting a skin instead of Fortnite players or other streamers such as IShowSpeed.

Surprisingly, Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, someone who has had beef with Cenat in the past, stepped up to support Kai, explaining why it’s not as big of a deal some are making it out to be.

Ninja responds to Kai Cenat Fortnite skin backlash

During a broadcast, viewers inquired why Kai was getting a skin and Ninja had a simple reply.

“There are creators who have Icon skins and then there’s just Icons,” Belevins explained. “It’s safe to say he’s up there in the streaming scene.”

Going through the roster of skins, Ninja said that a Speed skin would be “great” too, but added that Epic doesn’t just pump out cosmetics.

“These things are spaced out, so we can still see a Speed one in the future and there are loads of people who don’t play this game every day.”

Of note, Ninja pointed to the Eminem, Billie Eilish and Harry Kane skins as famous people not exactly associated with Fortnite, and there was more room for streamers to get skins.

Ninja emphasised that Kai is an Icon and the fact that he’s not getting a Creator Skin means he’s not taking a skin away from someone.

Furthermore, he was convinced that Kai would be playing Fortnite a lot during his upcoming Mafiathon 3 after setting a Twitch subscriber record last year with 728,535.

The Kai Cenat collab is set to arrive on September 12, 2025.

Borderlands 3, Sea of Stars, and more to leave Xbox Game Pass at the end of August

by admin August 18, 2025

Every month Xbox gives and and it takes. While we get new games added to Xbox Game Pass throughout each month, in the middle and the end of the month we also see a bunch of games leave the service.

At the end of August the following games will leave Game Pass according to the recently updated Xbox App:

  • Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition
  • Sea of Stars
  • Paw Patrol Mighty Pups Save Adventure Bay
  • This War of Mine: Final Cut
  • Ben 10: Power Trip

Of those games, there are a couple of standouts that you should try to play before they leave Game Pass.

Sea of Stars is a three-player co-op turn-based RPG that Eurogamer awarded 4 stars in our Sea of Stars review. This War of Mine: Final Cut is the game 11 bit made before going on to create Frostpunk and The Alters.

In This War Of Mine you do not play as an elite soldier, rather a group of civilians trying to survive in a besieged city; struggling with lack of food, medicine and constant danger from snipers and hostile scavengers. The game provides an experience of war seen from an entirely new angle.

Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition has its fans (not everyone enjoyed what Gearbox did with the third game in the series), and you might want to give it a whirl ahead of Borderlands 4 releasing in September.

This is a news-in-brief story. This is part of our vision to bring you all the big news as part of a daily live report.
