Unwavering Duty god rolls and how to get them in Destiny 2

by admin August 19, 2025

Among many new weapons added to Destiny 2 in The Edge of Fate, there are also a couple of reissued ones. One weapon long overdue for an update is the Unwavering Duty machine gun, which is probably one of the best-sounding weapons in the game.

Unwavering Duty is an Adaptive Frame Solar machine gun from Trials of Osiris. Adaptive Frame machine guns are arguably the most versatile archetype among machine guns – they’re great for PvP with their steady rate of fire, and potent in PvE at 450 RPM.

Here are our Unwavering Duty god rolls for PvE and PvP in Destiny 2.

What is the Unwavering Duty god roll in Destiny 2?

A million and one combination. Screenshot by Dot Esports

Unwavering Duty PvE god roll

  • Barrel: Arrowhead Brake
  • Magazine: Flared Magwell
  • Perk one: Incandescent
  • Perk two: Onslaught or Killing Tally
  • Masterwork: Reload Speed

Unwavering Duty PvP god roll

  • Barrel: Arrowhead Brake
  • Magazine: Ricochet Rounds
  • Perk one: Dynamic Sway Reduction
  • Perk two: Killing Tally
  • Masterwork: Range

Unwavering Duty has endless perk combinations for PvE. In the third column, there are Incandescent and Rampage. Rampage is a solid perk granting a damage buff of up to 33 percent, but Incandescent is a better choice for AoE and Solar synergies, as it spreads scorch.

You could also go with the reload perk in the third column. There’s Envious Assassin, Auto-loading Holster, and perks refunding ammo like Subsistence and Fourth Time’s the Charm. If you do that, an Appended Mag would be a better option than a Flared Magwell, since you don’t need to reload as much.

In the fourth column, Killing Tally is a classic choice for machine guns like Commemoration. The damage increases as you get kills, up to 30 percent. There is also Burning Ambition for more Solar synergy, but Incandescent is often more than enough, so you can go for raw damage instead.

Unwavering Duty has some of the best PvP perks, too. There’s Dynamic Sway Reduction in the third column to improve accuracy and stability when holding down the trigger. In the fourth column, Killing Tally is still the best choice to get a five percent damage buff after a kill, reducing the time-to-kill from 0.53 seconds to 0.4 seconds. There is Target Lock in the fourth column, but it doesn’t shift the time-to-kill values at all like it does on primary weapons like Auric Disabler.

As before, Unwavering Duty drops from Trials of Osiris. Post The Edge of Fate expansion, there’s no way to focus rewards at Saint-14. Instead, it’s all based on RNG, but you have a higher chance of getting a machine gun when it’s the featured weapon.

To get Tier 4 and Tier 5 drops in Trials of Osiris, you need to increase your Power level and Guardian Rank. Both affect your drops, including rewards from the Lighthouse chest. At 300+ Power, you can expect Tier 3 drops with occasional Tier 4s, and above 400 Power, you get Tier 4 drops with occasional Tier 5s.

Tourist Wallet Rolls Out, With Crypto Link Still Stuck in Sandbox

by admin August 18, 2025

Thailand introduced its Tourist Wallet for foreign-currency-to-baht QR payments, but the crypto conversion feature is suspended pending a regulatory review through mid-August.

The Bank of Thailand said the Tourist Wallet is meant to solve a practical problem: Cross-border QR links are only live with eight partner countries including Singapore, Malaysia and, soon, China via UnionPay. Travelers from elsewhere still face friction when paying in Thailand, something the new wallet aims to address.

Tourists will be able to top up their wallets with cash at provider counters, foreign debit and credit cards, or overseas bank transfers. Spending caps apply: 500,000 baht ($13,800) a month for merchants with card terminals and 50,000 baht for small shops. Cash withdrawals are prohibited, and accounts can be closed only through redemption.

The crypto angle, however, remains conditional. The country’s Securities and Exchange Commission is testing whether regulated exchanges and custodians can safely let foreign tourists convert crypto into baht balances for use in the Tourist Wallet.

The scheme would require full passport-based know-your-customer identification (KYC), with regulators citing concerns over mule accounts and money laundering. Until the regulatory review process, called a sandbox, closes and regulators publish results, currently scheduled for later this month, crypto holders won’t be able to spend directly.

For now, the Tourist Wallet is a fiat play dressed in QR code convenience, with crypto adoption still pending the outcome of the sandbox process.

Ripple Rolls Out Permissioned DEX on XRP Ledger, SBI CEO Shares Hot Take

by admin June 26, 2025

  • Here’s how Permissioned DEX on XRPL works
  • Next step for XRPL

Yoshitaka Kitao, CEO of the SBI Group, has published a tweet, in which he highlighted a major new step for the XRP Ledger — the rollout of a Permissioned DEX (decentralized exchange) on the XRPL.

Here’s how Permissioned DEX on XRPL works

This is a pivotal move for real-world financial apps running on the XRPL. According to the latest press release published by Ripple, the Permissioned DEX allows regulated financial institutions “to trade or move value on the XRPL Decentralized Exchange (DEX) without compromising on compliance, scalability, or decentralization.” This launch took place earlier this year after Ripple shared an outline of its vision for unlocking DeFi access for financial institutions on the XRP Ledger.

A permissioned DEX offers a fixed set of rules for only approved participants to match their offers with a specific group, called a Permissioned Domain. Particularly, this type of DEX allows app creators to make permissioned order books for permissionless coins, such as XRP, stablecoins or wrapped cryptocurrencies, and they will only be granted access via allowlisted accounts.

The XRP Ledger can run multiple permissioned DEXes, and each one would be “uniquely associated with a permissioned domain, which acts as an allow-list for accessing that DEX,” the press release says. Trades on such a permissioned DEX can only work against other trades offered in the same permissioned DEX. Each of those platforms on the XRPL can have order books for an unlimited number of crypto pairs.

Next step for XRPL

Ripple believes the launch of this permissioned DEX is the next step for the XRPL since it solves the hurdle of adding compliance to the DEX without breaching its concept of decentralization, cost efficiencies or user control. As mentioned above, the new permissioned DEX enables only authorized participants to take part in trading on this platform.

Thanks to the launch of this new platform, financial institutions can begin to use the XRPL DEX right away, enjoying every aspect of compliance it offers. This allows for a new level of institutional-grade trading activity to begin here, which will be regulated, easy to scale, charging low fees on trades.

The following use cases can be explored on the new XRPL-powered DEX: stablecoin/fiat FX swaps, contractor/payroll payouts, cross-border B2B payments and corporate treasury.

YouTube rolls out more unskippable ads that make viewers wait even longer to watch videos

by admin June 13, 2025

YouTube is testing a series of new unskippable ads that will appear far more often for viewers.

Google-owned YouTube has been upping its ad game for years now, introducing pause screen ads, shutting down adblockers and even using AI to show ads when viewers are most engaged.

Now, the video platform is once again finding another way to implement advertisements by beta testing 30-second non-skippable ads in regular campaigns.

In other words, YouTube is giving advertisers yet another method to show you commercials.

YouTube tests new 30-second unskippable ad format

As reported by Search Engine Land, 30-second ads used to be reserved through YouTube Reservation deals, but now, Google Ads is allowing more advertisers to include 30-second ads in regular campaigns.

According to Swipe Insight, this ad format will allow advertisers to show video ads between 16–30 seconds exclusively on TV screens, which include Smart TVs and Chromecast devices.

Additionally, these 30-second unskippable ads are being rolled out alongside 6-second bumper ads and 15-second unskippable ads.

YouTube

This test is already being well received with Anthony Higman, the CEO of ADSQUIRE, claiming that users will “probably” watch 30-second ads.

“…the 15 second non-skippable YouTube ad format is my all time favorite,” he said. “These can be targeted to keywords and audiences and the user must watch the ad to get to the content they want to watch.”

Search Engine Land also warns that viewers will need to get used to waiting longer to watch videos than they already do, or opt to bite the bullet and subscribe to Premium.

However, if you watch a lot of Shorts, you may want to avoid Premium Lite, as YouTube recently announced that ads will begin appearing on that content, even for paying users.

That said, for those wanting to save money, the platform is working on a new Spotify-style subscription that will give two people access to Premium for a little bit less than purchasing two individual plans.

Relentless god rolls and how to get them in Destiny 2 Rite of the Nine

by admin June 11, 2025

Relentless is back with the Rite of the Nine dungeon event in Destiny 2, and it got a few significant upgrades in its perk pool. Whether it’s Strand synergy you’re looking for or maximum damage (or both), this weapon has got you covered.

Relentless is a 340 RPM Strand pulse rifle from the Prophecy dungeon. The old revision from Season of the Wish had some decent perks, but the updated one really brings it up to the next level, especially for PvE, with perks like Tear, Firefly, Elemental Honing, and more.

Here are our PvE and PvP god rolls for the Relentless in Destiny 2.

What is the Relentless god roll in Destiny 2?

There are almost no bad perks. Screenshot by Dot Esports

Relentless PvE god roll (Threadlings)

  • Barrel: Corkscrew Rifling
  • Magazine: Flared Magwell
  • Perk one: Firefly
  • Perk two: Hatchling
  • Masterwork: Reload Speed

The main Strand synergy with Relentless comes from Hatchling to create as many Threadlings as possible. When getting precision final blows or rapidly defeating targets, Hatchling creates a Threadling at the target’s location.

This perk synergizes perfectly with Firefly. Firefly creates a Solar explosion on precision final blows, and any kills you get with that explosion also count towards the “rapidly defeating targets” part of Hatchling. This gives Relentless maximum AoE and Threadlings.

Relentless PvE god roll (Sever)

  • Barrel: Corkscrew Rifling
  • Magazine: Flared Magwell
  • Perk one: Tear
  • Perk two: Paracausal Affinity
  • Masterwork: Reload Speed

If your build isn’t focused on Threadlings (say, Titan’s Banner of War build), you can lean into Sever with Tear. Tear causes nearby targets to become Severed when landing a precision final blow. There’s also Slice that does a similar thing, but requires you to use your class ability.

To replace Hatchling, you can go full damage with Paracausal Affinity, which grants a 20 percent damage buff for six seconds after securing a kill with a matching alignment (a kill with the weapon itself counts).

Relentless PvP god roll

  • Barrel: Arrowhead Brake
  • Magazine: Ricochet Rounds
  • Perk one: Keep Away
  • Perk two: Headseeker
  • Masterwork: Range

The PvP roll remains the same, with Keep Away and Headseeker being the best perk combination. Keep Away grants 10 range when no enemies are within meters, and Headseeker increases precision damage as you land body shots. Other perks to look out for include Lone Wolf and Rapid Hit in the third column and Desperado in the fourth.

High-Impact pulse rifles aren’t in the best state, as the days of Elsie’s Rifles are over (at least for now), and nerfs made them less forgiving, but they still perform in the right hands.

How to get Relentless in Destiny 2

Don’t forget to visit The Emissary. Screenshot by Dot Esports

The reprised Relentless is available during the Rite of the Nine event in Destiny 2. There are four versions of the weapon: base, holofoil base, Adept, and holofoil Adept, with Adepts dropping only from the Ultimatum difficulty.

Here are a few things to know to get more loot during Rite of the Nine:

  • Attune to the weapon at The Emissary to have a higher chance of getting the selected weapon.
  • Pick up the weapon quests from The Emissary for additional shiny copies.
  • Redeem Nonary Manifolds at The Emissary for additional weapons (or save them until the end of the event, as there will be a new way to spend them during the last week).
  • On weeks starting June 10, July 1, and July 8, Rite of the Nine’s Prophecy will have increased weapon drops.

UK-listed IG rolls out crypto trading to retail investors

by admin June 2, 2025

IG Group, a United Kingdom-listed trading and financial services company, is launching cryptocurrency trading to retail investors, expanding its footprint in the digital assets space.

IG customers can now access 31 crypto assets, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), XRP (XRP) and a variety of altcoins and memecoins such as Bonk (BONK), the company said in an announcement shared with Cointelegraph on June 2.

IG previously offered cryptocurrency exposure through contracts for difference (CFDs), but this marks a direct entry into spot crypto trading

IG’s crypto trading services come as crypto adoption continues to grow in the UK amid the government’s push for a crypto regulatory regime.

Infrastructure and compliance provided by Uphold

IG’s latest crypto offering is launched in partnership with the United States-based crypto asset firm Uphold, which is regulated in the US and the UK.

The offering is integrated across the IG platform and the IG Invest app, allowing customers to switch from crypto accounts to any other IG accounts, including stock trading.

Uphold will handle all customer transactions and provide pricing data, with its infrastructure fully integrated into IG’s user experience, the companies said in a joint announcement.

“This is a huge moment for IG and a major milestone in the UK’s crypto journey, with retail investors now able to buy, sell and hold crypto assets with a grown-up business,” said IG’s UK managing director, Michael Healy.

IG’s previous crypto moves

The new offering by IG brings crypto spot trading to retail investors after the firm previously introduced crypto CFD trading to institutional clients.

Unlike spot trading, which involves buying and selling crypto assets at their current market prices, CFDs are financial instruments that allow traders to speculate on prices without owning the underlying asset.

According to the IG website, the company allows its clients to trade CFDs on 11 major cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ether, Litecoin, Cardano and more.

Related: UK to require crypto firms to report every customer transaction

In early 2021, IG halted its retail crypto offering in the UK following a temporary ban on crypto derivatives trading by the UK Financial Conduct Authority.

UK progressing with crypto regulations

IG’s latest move into crypto marks a major adoption milestone in the UK amid regulators working on introducing industry standards and regulations.

On May 28, the UK FCA launched a public consultation on proposed new rules for stablecoin issuers and crypto custody providers.

In April, the UK government published general draft regulations for cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, aiming to protect crypto asset investors from risky investments and scams.

The news comes as crypto adoption is booming in the UK, with the country seeing a massive increase in new crypto owners in the past year, outpacing Europe, according to Gemini.

ASRock acknowledges and explains dying AMD 9000-series chips in its motherboards, rolls out a BIOS fix

by admin May 28, 2025

ASRock answered me why Ryzen 9000 CPUs are dying on their Motherboards. – YouTube

Watch On

Among many other descriptors, we could arguably call the last year one of hardware being pushed to the point of failure—think Intel CPU crashes, melting RTX 50-series power cables, and dying AMD Ryzen 9000-series CPUs on certain motherboards. We already had explanations for the former two, and it now looks like we might have an explanation for the 9000-series deaths, too.

ASRock has apparently told Tech YouTuber Tech Yes City that these 9000-series fatalities were caused by PBO (Precision Boost Overdrive) being set too high. While the problems didn’t just seem to be occurring with ASRock boards, the majority did, so it’s relevant that ASRock is the company saying this.

As a reminder, we started hearing about these AMD Ryzen 9000-series CPU deaths, primarily on ASRock motherboards, early on in the year. At the time, ASRock said that reports of these deaths were “inconsistent” and issued a statement only about “boot issues and error codes,” not processor failures. A BIOS update to fix these “boot issues and error codes” was released.

You may like

Now, however, ASRock seems to be admitting there’s not only “inconsistency” to reports of CPU failures.

According to Tech Yes City, ASRock explains that the problem is with the amperage that the CPUs are being delivered by high-end ASRock boards. While the motherboard manufacturer says its EDC (Electrical Design Current) and TDC (Thermal Design Current) settings were within the range outlined by AMD, it claims the resulting amperage was too high for the CPUs and so it’s had to lower things somewhat.

Finally got answers to the asrock motherboard and 9000 series cpus dying situation. Everything I was told was here https://t.co/BRqVRJAP3mMay 26, 2025

PBO is a technology built into AMD processors that allows for automatic dynamic adjustment of power, voltage, and clock speed, based on temperature headroom and other such metrics. Just how much PBO pushes the chip can vary depending on motherboard current limits, and ASRock seems to be claiming that these limits were set too high in its high-end 9000-series motherboards despite the limits being within the range that AMD provided.

The solution, ASRock tells Tech Yes City, is to set these current limits to lower levels to match motherboards from other manufacturers such as MSI, Asus, and Gigabyte.

Keep up to date with the most important stories and the best deals, as picked by the PC Gamer team.

Tech Yes City had previously suggested that Ryzen CPUs were dying due to voltage spikes. ASRock motherboard amperage was actually lower than competitors’ in their testing, but it was spiking higher.

Whether this is AMD’s fault or ASRock’s is hard to say. On the one hand, if it’s true that ASRock was operating within the limits AMD had set out, it’s hard to put all the blame on the motherboard manufacturer. AMD has already said on the issue that it believes its chips are not dying, and in fact were no longer functioning due to memory incompatibility issues.

On the other hand, if other motherboard makers were already operating under lower limits that didn’t cause these problems, it must make us wonder whether ASRock could and should have known to do the same from the start.

Whatever the case, ASRock is apparently rolling out a BIOS update to fix the overly aggressive PBO limits. So, if you have a high-end 9000-series ASRock board, you should probably get downloading.

What isn’t yet clear is whether a processor that has already been used extensively within an affected motherboard will be permanently damaged or not. That was the case with Intel’s 13/14th Gen CPUs, which had to be replaced entirely. This matters not only for the short-term, but in the long-term. If any chip were to break down the line, outside of warranty, who is liable to replace it, AMD or ASRock? Is there an easy way to prove the damage, if any exists, to a chip from the motherboard?

Futher clarification on what this means for customers from both AMD and ASRock feels like an important next step.

Europe’s Biggest Bank Rolls Out Settlement Service

by admin May 25, 2025

Trusted Editorial content, reviewed by leading industry experts and seasoned editors. Ad Disclosure

HSBC has rolled out Hong Kong’s first settlement service that uses blockchain technology. It turns regular bank deposits into digital tokens. That means companies can move money almost instantly.

Payments may cost less and happen faster than on traditional systems, according to Lewis Sun, HSBC’s global head of domestic and emerging payments for global payments solutions.

Tokenized Deposit Program

Based on reports, HSBC’s new tokenized deposit program lets firms swap regular deposits for tokens on a blockchain platform. Companies keep their dollars on the bank’s balance sheet, but they can send and receive them like digital coins.

Sun says this approach can cut out extra fees and delays. It also helps track every payment on-chain, so firms know where their cash is at all times.

HSBC LAUNCHES HONG KONG’S FIRST BLOCKCHAIN SETTLEMENT SERVICE

HSBC debuted a blockchain-based settlement platform using tokenized HKD and USD deposits, with Ant International completing the first transaction.

The service will expand across Asia and Europe later this year.… pic.twitter.com/WNMMqs7Owa

— Crypto Town Hall (@Crypto_TownHall) May 24, 2025

Round-The-Clock Payments

According to HSBC, the service runs 24 hours a day. Corporate clients can send Hong Kong dollars and US dollars between HSBC Hong Kong wallets any time.

That’s a big change from standard banking, where transfers often pause overnight or on weekends. Real-time transfers mean treasurers can react quickly to market moves or urgent needs.

Total crypto market cap at $3.32 trillion on the daily chart: TradingView.com

Pilot With Ant International

Ant International, an affiliate of Alibaba Group Holding, was the first client to test the system. It used Ant’s Whale platform to move funds instantly, HSBC said. After that pilot in May, the bank adopted those lessons into its live service.

Kelvin Li, general manager of platform tech at Ant International, called tokenization a bridge between traditional banking and blockchain. He added that the project aimed to make treasury work more transparent and efficient.

Regulatory Support And Expansion

HSBC’s rollout is backed by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority’s Supervisory Incubator for Distributed Ledger Technology. The bank is one of several that have run proof-of-concept trials under the HKMA’s tokenization program.

In August, the HKMA set up a central bank digital currency testing regime. Six firms, including HSBC, began experimenting with tokenized money for digital asset deals.

Hong Kong Taps Blockchain

That move pushed Hong Kong closer to interbank blockchain settlements. HSBC plans to extend its service to Asian and European markets in the second half of 2025.

The new system may transform the way large companies handle cash. They won’t have to wait until opening time or be hit with unexpected charges. Instant information on each payment translates into clearer views of liquidity throughout the day.

But the project also comes with challenges. Firms must refresh their back-offices so that they can interact with tokens. And blockchain platforms need to remain secure from intrusions or technical glitches.

HSBC is the largest bank in Europe in terms of assets, according to the latest ranking of the 50 biggest European lenders published by the S&P Global Market Intelligence.
