Time to bring in the bounty.

Season War Ablaze introduced Raptor to Delta Force, a Recon Operator who’s a bounty hunter by trade. To go alongside him, and to fulfill your Western fantasy, there’s also the Marlin Lever-action rifle.

The Marlin Lever-action rifle has two distinct playstyles. One is long-range, focusing on stability and control. Second is close-range, with high fire-rate and hip-fire accuracy. Since it’s a marksman rifle, this guide covers the long-range build, but you can still have a ton of fun with this weapon when built into accuracy.

Here’s our best Marlin Lever-action rifle build in Delta Force.

Nice and simple. Screenshot by Dot Esports

While still important, the long-range build doesn’t need as much control as other weapons, like assault rifles. At 100 rpm, you primarily need to increase stability to ensure the scope stays in place as much as possible when firing.

Here are the best attachments for the Marlin Lever-action rifle in Delta Force:

Marlin Hunter Barrel is designed for long-range combat, increasing effective range by nine meters, and offering more control and stability. There are three slots for KC Hound Handguard Panels to get more stability. Slot the DBAL-X2 Purple Laser-Light Combo in any of the remaining free barrel slots.

Foregrip doubles down on stability, along with the CR Prism Hand Stop. It increases both firing stability and firing camera stability. Similarly, the Marlin Stable Sniper Stock adds more stability and a bit more control.

This build doesn’t utilize any levers, which is a unique attachment for this weapon. The Marlin Rhino Lever increases damage, allowing for a one-shot to the body up close, but nullifies the range gains from the barrel. You could use it in a more aggressive playstyle, but then there’s also Marling Hummingbird Lever, which increases fire rate. Hummingbird Lever decreases headshot damage but still allows for a one-shot kill in Warfare with 102 damage to the head. Ultimately, it’s your pick when it comes to levers.

Here’s the share code for the Marlin Lever-action rifle build so you can start using it in your own games immediately:

Best Marlin Lever-action rifle calibration settings in Delta Force

Minor stat bumps. Screenshot by Dot Esports

There aren’t that many calibrations you can do on a Marlin Lever-action rifle with this setup. You can only adjust the barrel and the foregrip, where firing stability and extra control take priority, but you don’t want to lose too much ADS speed, either.

Here are the best calibration settings for the Marlin Lever-action rifle in Delta Force:

SlotSettingEffectBarrelWeight Limit: +50g+4 percent Firing Stability
-4 percent ADS Movement SpeedForegripPlacement: +2 Slot
Thickness: -20mm+4 percent Extra Control
-16 percent Stability When Moving
+4 percent ADS Movement Speed
-4 percent ADS SpeedOpticN/A

These settings increase firing stability and extra control by four percent each at the cost of four percent ADS speed. It’s a fairly minor calibration that you can adjust depending on the playstyle, but either way, it doesn’t have that much of an effect.

‘PLEASE DON’T NERF COYOTE’: The new Helldivers 2 warbond has a fire-breathing rifle so good that players are begging Arrowhead to leave it alone

by admin September 5, 2025

While the metroidvania inclined celebrate the release of a long-awaited bug game, Helldivers 2’s stalwart protectors of freedom are hard at work ensuring no bugs will know another day of peace. This week, the Into the Unjust update kicked off a new offensive into Terminid strongholds, a directive that’s proving tougher than expected.

A new “Rupture” class of Terminid, recognizable by its red armor plating and burrowing technique, is wreaking havoc on reinforcements. While players have identified effective weapons to counter the novel threat, it’s no coincidence that the latest premium warbond, Dust Devils, is packing what might be the ultimate anti-Terminid primary: the AR-2 Coyote.

The most active corner of the Helldivers 2 community has already anointed the Coyote to gun royalty, singing its praises against bugs and preemptively begging Arrowhead not to nerf it.

It’s really a thing of beauty: With a rounded profile, long barrel, and curved magazine, the Coyote is undoubtedly meant to evoke an AK-47. Its baseline stats aren’t extraordinary for its weapon class, but its numbers don’t really communicate why it kicks carapace.

The Coyote’s main draw is its incendiary ammunition, a first for non-laser assault rifles. As fire is comfortably the best status effect in terms of raw damage (and especially good for bugs), the Coyote flashes its teeth by unleashing a 45-round magazine into a wave of advancing bugs, killing most on contact and setting the rest on fire to die seconds later. I didn’t even mention that it has medium penetration, making it one of just four assault rifles that can punch through the Rupture strain’s armor.

I don’t wish to be dramatic. from r/Helldivers

When you look at the AR-2 Coyote in detail, it’s as if Arrowhead was trying to design the last Terminid gun you’ll ever need:

  • High damage: Base damage is weaker than other medium-pen ARs, but the fire damage adds big
  • Medium penetration: so it rips through anything smaller than a Charger
  • Fire ammo: You can literally fire one bullet at a bug, then watch it die from fire in seconds
  • Large magazine: A 45-round magazine (without any upgrades) means you can shoot everything chasing you before a reload is necessary
  • Easy recoil control: The Coyote kicks harder than a Liberator, mind you, but its recoil pattern is a steady vertical climb that’s easy to compensate for. Also, it has unlockable grips.

It’s the sort of gun that just feels comfortable and fun as soon as you use it, which is what you want when spending $10 on a warbond. Nerfs wouldn’t surprise me, but a post from redditor RandomGreenArcherMan offers sharp points that toss cold water on the Coyote’s dominance: its lower base damage means it kills some enemies slower than a Liberator, burning doesn’t tend to matter against smaller enemies that die in one bullet anyway, and it doesn’t have access to 60 or 80-round magazine upgrades.

Keep up to date with the most important stories and the best deals, as picked by the PC Gamer team.

Plus, ArcherMan reckons it’s not great against Automatons, who aren’t as easy to burn and reward precision headshots. That’s not to suggest the Coyote isn’t a sterling product of Super Earth engineering, just that it’s currently being deployed in its ideal warzone: bugs with medium armor.

Halo’s Assault Rifle Is Causing Helldivers 2 To Crash

by admin August 27, 2025

Helldivers 2 is putting up huge numbers at the moment, partially thanks to a major collaboration with Halo–but one of the iconic Halo weapons in the ODST Warbond is causing the game to crash. Here’s what we know about the bug and how to avoid it.

The bug has been detailed under known issues in Helldivers 2’s Discord, and concerns the ODST MA5C Assault Rifle. “When on the bridge, if all players equip this weapon from the armory and then the host leaves it will cause your game to crash,” the bug report reads. The crash is currently impacting players on all platforms, and Arrowhead is investigating a fix.

Now Playing: Helldivers 2 x Halo: ODST – Legendary Warbond Gameplay Reveal Trailer

For now, thankfully the crash is not too difficult to get around. To avoid any possibility of this crash ocurring, Arrowhead recommends equipping the ODST from the loadout instead of the armory.

The studio has also notified of another issue impacting Warbonds–Helldivers 2’s equivalent of a battle pass. Arrowhead has warned that players may be unable to spend Super Credits while they are holding onto a Warbond Token. Until the issue is resolved, players will have to choose between saving their Warbond Token for a future Premium Warbond and holding off on purchases, or using it on a current Warbond they don’t own yet and spending Super Credits as usual.

The Halo: ODST Warbond was Helldivers 2’s first “Legendary Warbond,” rewarding players with more items than a standard one–including four weapons, two armor sets, and plenty more. The Halo crossover dropped on the same day as Helldivers 2’s Xbox launch, a combination that has brought a lot of new and returning players to the game.
