MetaMask Unveils $30M LINEA Token Onchain Rewards Program

MetaMask, a self custody cryptocurrency wallet, announced the upcoming launch of its MetaMask Rewards program, setting the stage to distribute over $30 million in LINEA token incentives during its inaugural season.

The announcement, made through a post on X, as MetaMask continues to expand its offerings beyond basic transaction capabilities, having integrated features such as token swaps, staking, and portfolio management.

The company stated the program is designed to be a “genuine method of regularly giving back to [our] community” and is expected to roll out fully within the next few weeks. The wallet provider has also made it easier for users to claim eligible tokens directly through its MetaMask Portfolio interface

Reward Program Details and Scope

The rewards program, which the company emphasizes is “not a farming play,” is being positioned as one of the largest onchain rewards initiatives built. While specific eligibility criteria were not detailed, the rewards will include referral rewards, mUSD incentives, exclusive partner rewards, and access to tokens.

Additionally, MetaMask also talked about its long-time users, saying, “Long-time MetaMask users will not be ignored, they’ll be given special benefits.” The company also connected the new initiative to future plans, stating that MetaMask Rewards will have “meaningful connections with the future MetaMask token,” adding to the existing speculation around a native token launch for the wallet.

The focus on the LINEA token for the massive $30 million Season 1 distribution shows collaboration between MetaMask and Linea, the Ethereum Layer 2 scaling solution developed by ConsenSys, the parent company of MetaMask.

The full program details are expected to be shared in the coming weeks.

Call of Duty Black Ops 7 is all ready to launch into open beta, and this milestone comes with a bunch of rewards for players to grab. Everyone can participate in the beta, so why not add any freebies that you can to your inventory before the global launch in November?

Black Ops 7 beta starts on Oct. 5, but you can join the action a bit earlier—on Oct. 2—if you’ve pre-ordered the game, received a beta code, or are subscribed via Xbox Game Pass. How to progress levels in BO7 beta and get rewards fast

To get all Black Ops 7 beta rewards, you need to play the game during open beta as much as possible and reach Level 30 before Oct. 8. Focus on raking more kills and gathering assists while in a match. Completing daily challenges and other missions should get you a lot of easy XP toward level progression.

While seven days may seem less for a progression of 30 levels, it isn’t impossible. Since it’s open beta, earning XP shouldn’t be very hard. All rewards earned from this period will carry over into the game’s full version when it launches on Nov. 14, so it’s definitely worth the time you invest.

Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong recently took to the X social media network to slam “big banks” for trying to reverse the ability of cryptocurrency trading platforms to offer rewards in Circle’s USDC stablecoin.

Armstrong argues that banks are attempting to preserve their monopoly over deposits.

The Coinbase executive has stressed that bailing out big banks, which are enjoying record-breaking profit margins, “is not gonna fly.” “That would be a foolish thing to do politically because there’s 50 million Americans like you who have now used crypto,” he stressed.

Coinbase escalated its fight with TradFi, doubling down on its lobbying efforts and accusing banks of trying to protect their monopoly. On Monday, September 29, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong posted on X while in Washington, D.C., lobbying lawmakers on stablecoin regulation.

Armstrong spoke from Capitol Hill while the U.S. Senate deliberated on the Digital Asset Market Structure and Investor Protection Act. This piece of legislation, clarifying crypto rules beyond those covered by the GENIUS Act, will determine which agency is in charge of crypto regulation and extend investor protections.

“I’ve never been more bullish about clear rules for crypto. It’s obvious that market structure is a freight train that’s left the station,” said Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong. “But that hasn’t stopped the big banks from coming for another handout – this time paid by your crypto rewards,” he added.

Banks want to ban stablecoin rewards: Armstrong

According to Armstrong, banks are trying to relitigate issues that were already settled with the GENIUS Act. Notably, he says the banking lobby is coming after stablecoin rewards.

“Banks want to ban rewards to maintain their monopoly, and we’re making sure the Senate knows bailing out the big banks at the expense of the American consumer is not ok,” Armstrong stated.

Stablecoin rewards are a contentious regulatory issue. Under the GENIUS Act, stablecoins are not allowed to pay interest. However, they are allowed to pay rewards, which some in the banking sector consider a loophole.

Notably, banks fear that stablecoin rewards could cause a capital flight from the banks. What is more, according to the April Treasury Department report, consumers might move as much as $6.6 trillion out of banks into stablecoins, potentially threatening the banks’ ability to lend.

In an announcement on Sept. 23, Fold said the card is designed to offer up to 3.5% back in Bitcoin (BTC) on all purchases, bypassing the category rotations and complex loyalty points typically associated with traditional rewards cards.

Fold CEO Will Reeves emphasized the product’s simplicity, stating it requires “no tokens to stake, no exchange account or balance requirements; just real Bitcoin, earned automatically with every purchase.”

“Our credit card offers clear and compelling value and makes bitcoin easily accessible to everyone,” Reeves said. “It’s simple enough for someone new to bitcoin, but built with the transparency and control early adopters expect. This is the kind of financial tool we’ve always believed bitcoin could power, and with Stripe’s infrastructure and Visa’s global reach, we can finally deliver it at scale.”

A closer look at Fold’s BTC rewards

Cardholders will earn an unlimited 2% back in Bitcoin instantly on every purchase. This base rate can be boosted to 3.5% for users who pay their card balance using a Fold Checking Account with qualified activity, creating an incentive to operate within Fold’s broader financial ecosystem.

Beyond these flat rates, the card taps into Fold’s existing rewards network, offering up to 10% back at hundreds of major merchants. This network includes everyday spending destinations such as Amazon, Target, Home Depot, Uber, Starbucks, and DoorDash, positioning the card to capture a significant portion of typical consumer expenditure.

The new credit card represents a strategic expansion for Fold, which has already established a considerable footprint in the bitcoin rewards space. In the statement, the company claimed it has processed over $3.1 billion in transaction volume to date and has distributed more than $83 million in Bitcoin rewards to users through its existing products.

These include a Bitcoin debit card, an exchange, and gift cards. As the first publicly traded bitcoin financial services company, Fold also notably holds nearly 1,500 BTC in its corporate treasury, aligning its financial strategy directly with the success of its products and the adoption of Bitcoin.

The launch also highlights the growing role of payment processors in integrating digital assets. Stripe has been steadily re-entering the cryptocurrency market this year, launching its Tempo blockchain project in partnership with Paradigm and enabling USDC acceptance for Shopify merchants in collaboration with Coinbase.

Champions is the greatest test for any FC 26 player in Ultimate Team, offering the best rewards for grinding.

The Champions mode has undergone some noticeable changes as Playoffs have been removed. To qualify, you’ll have to reach Division 6 at a minimum. While Champions is yet to go live, the rewards across all 15 tiers are available.

The Early Access Elimination tournament is the first live event to be released in FC 26 Ultimate Team, and you can win plenty of free rewards.

This tournament is only available to those who can play in the early access period. Despite being the first live event of the game, EA Sports has added plenty of interesting rewards for the fans to obtain. Moreover, the ultimate prize is a free entry to the Finale (coming soon) and a promo card.

This guide will clear any confusion regarding the tournament and how it works.

The rewards are divided into different milestones, and you’ll have to play and win a fair number of games. The best rewards are reserved for those who manage to win the tournament at least once, if not more.

Winning the tournament at least once gets you the 84-rated Dolan card for free, which is a great addition to make at the start of a new cycle. You also secure your entry to the Early Access Finale; a super-exclusive tournament that will be live for a day on Sept. 25.

Completing the full objective also gets you a bonus 75+ 2 Rare Gold Players Pack.

EA FC 26 Early Access Elimination explained

We have gone through the rewards, and we know how to qualify for the Finale tournament. Here are some more pointers to keep in mind.

Five daily entries: You can make five daily attempts to play and win the tournament.
No squad restrictions: There are no squad restrictions in terms of the overall ratings.
Win and wait: If you win the tournament on a given day, you’ll need to wait. It doesn’t matter if you have more entries available to you.
Play players at your own level: The cup is divided into different rounds. You’ll always face another player on the same round as yours.
Open for all: Expect to find players of different skill levels, but matchmaking will get harder as you move into deeper rounds.
