Katanaut (PC, Developer: Voidmaw): An action-roguelite set aboard a massive space station falling into cosmic chaos. With the station slowly spiraling out of control, and its once-human inhabitants twisted into terrors, you’re the unlucky one tasked with uncovering what is going on… assuming you’re able to survive the station’s violent halls with souls-like combat.

Sydney Sweeney reveals shocking truth about Christy fight scenes

by admin September 11, 2025

Sydney Sweeney stars as boxer Christy Martin in an inspiring new sports movie, and the actress has revealed the reason for her fight scenes looking so realistic.

Having made her name in teen drama Euphoria, Sydney Sweeney has tackled horror (Immaculate), rom-com (Anyone But You), thriller (The Voyeurs), and even popped up in a superhero movie (Madame Web).

More recently she’s been piling on muscle to play professional boxer Christy Martin, who became the first female fighter elected to the Boxing Hall of Fame.

The film is called Christy, and premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, where it received largely positive reviews, with the fight scenes frequently singled out for praise. Which makes sense based on how they were filmed…

Sydney Sweeney’s punches are real in Christy

Black Bear Pictures

In most fight movies, actors pull their punches, stunt people are used, and camera trickery makes it look like a real boxing match is unfolding. But not so in Christy.

“Every single fight you see, we are actually punching each other,” Sweeney told Vanity Fair. “We are going full force. I always believed that you would not be able to make it feel real if it’s a stunt double or if it’s faking the hits.”

Article continues after ad

That meant a huge amount of preparation in advance, but director David Michôd said Sweeney was up for the challenge: “She wanted to do the work. She wanted to train, she wanted to fight, she wanted to transform herself, and we were going to need all of that.”

As a youngster, the actress trained in jujitsu, grappling, and kickboxing, though that background meant she had to unlearn some skills for the movie, with Sweeney revealing that “my stances and a lot of my technique is different than boxing. You square up differently, and of course you don’t get brought to the ground – everything’s on your feet.”

Sweeney also went through a physical transformation for the film, gaining over 30 pounds, and doing weights and boxing several hours a day for three months. “I felt very strong and powerful,” she said. “I loved it. Being able to lose myself to become a vessel for somebody else is my dream.”

Christy hits US screens on November 7, 2025, while you can head here for our list of the best sports movies ever.

Binance’s CZ Reveals Best Way to Improve Economy, Hinting At Crypto Reserve

by admin September 11, 2025

Changpeng Zhao, the founder and former chief executive officer of the world’s largest exchange, Binance, has taken to his official X account to comment on the news of the Indian rupee crashing against the US dollar.

CZ shared his hot take on what is happening with the global economies at the moment, hinting that crypto may serve as a good tool and help countries prosper.

“The best way to improve economy” from CZ

CZ commented on the recent drop of the Indian rupee as it has reached a new low against the US dollar. In his tweet, Zhao spoke about protectionism and how it can damage the economy.

The USD increased by almost 0.5% against the rupee today, which aligns with the 25% trade tariff on the import of Indian goods implemented by the US government recently. CZ hinted that this protectionism is always harmful for the economy, since people suffer: “Protectionism is always at the expense of the people, ie, the economy.”

The best way to improve the economy, according to CZ, is “to adopt innovation.”

Known as an advocate of blockchain and crypto, CZ could be hinting that India should start creating a national crypto reserve. After he visited Kazakhstan earlier this year, the country recently announced its plans to start building a Bitcoin reserve. CZ was invited as a member of the national crypto council in both Kazakhstan and Pakistan this year.

The Long Walk star reveals eye-watering number of miles they’d walk each day

by admin September 11, 2025

The Long Walk by name, The Long Walk by nature. Ahead of the new movie’s release in cinemas, actor David Jonsson has revealed just how far the cast had to trek each day on set.

Directed by Francis Lawrence, the film started its life as a novel written by Stephen King under the pseudonym Richard Bachman about a deadly competition: in a dystopian America, a group of young men must walk at a pace of no less than 3mph.

If they stop, they die, and the annual contest only ends when one man is left. The Long Walk is truly one of the best movies of 2025, with our five-star review describing it as “harrowing, heartbreaking, and near-flawless.”

While a viral treadmill challenge stunt saw movie-goers walking for the entirety of the movie’s runtime (108 minutes) last month, that was nothing compared to what the actual cast had to do.

The Long Walk cast had to walk for miles on set each day

Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Jonsson – who plays Peter McVries – says the cast who played characters in the contest walked “15 miles some days, some days were like 32” on The Long Walk set.

To put that in perspective, a marathon is 26 miles. And these actors weren’t just walking once – they were doing it over and over again, day after day, to bring King’s grueling story to life.

That might sound tiring to most, but Judy Greer – who plays Raymond’s (Cooper Hoffman) mother, Mrs. Garraty – was actually jealous. “I’m a big walker, I really love it and they all lost weight and I was jealous about that,” she joked.

“Breathing fresh air and people handing them Gatorades – when I’m walking by myself in the heat, no one’s handing me anything.”

As for Cooper Hoffman, the fact that the movie has taken this long to make (the novel was published in 1979) was a challenge he was excited about.

“When they tell you that a movie’s never been done like this, when they tell you this movie’s been very hard to make, the competitive side of me wants to make it,” he told the outlet.

Star Wars icon Mark Hamill also appears in The Long Walk, playing the competition’s brutal enforcer, The Major. Initially, he didn’t want to take part in the film and was “totally repelled”, until he read King’s book.

“I said, ‘I’m not doing this, it’s way too violent, I hate it.’ And then I ordered the book and was like, ‘Oh, it’s just the premise that’s ghastly’; it’s an attention grabber to get to the real heart and soul of the movie which is the experiences of these young walkers,” he said.

“And that’s where the heart [is], their experiences are incredible – the friendships, the rivalries, it’s fantastic. It really belongs to the walkers, I’m just a guy you love to hate.”

Liverpool top dogs as EA Sports FC 26 reveals highest rated Premier League and WSL players

by admin September 10, 2025

EA Sports has revealed the top 26 players in both the Premier League and WSL for EA Sports FC 26.

In the men’s top league, after a dominant romp to the title last season Liverpool have come out on top with 8 players in the top 26, just beating Arsenal who have 7.

With a few high-profile departures as club legends reached the end of their time up North, Man City have just 5, including 2 downgrades for Rodri and Dias and 2 new players in Donnarumma and Reijnders.

Newcastle and Chelsea have 2 midfielders in the top 26 a piece, while Youri Tielemans makes it for Villa with Bruno Fernandes rounding out the list as the last vestigial reminder of Manchester United at the top end of the Premier League.

In the WSL though, underdog Champion’s League winners Arsenal have 3 players in the top 5, but it’s 6-in-a-row title winners Chelsea who have the most strength in depth, with a mighty 11 of the 26 highest rated WSL players (despite downgrades for key players like Sam Kerr and Lauren James following injury-hit seasons).

New additions include the popular Ultimate Team pick Grace Geyoro after her move from PSG to London City Lionesses (however that does mean she now no longer links with male PSG players), as well as Chelsea defender Naomi Girma who was the first women’s player to be transferred for more than $1 million.

These ratings come after the top 26 male and female players from every league around the world were revealed earlier this week, with Lamine Yamal seeing a huge +8 upgrade while Mo Salah and Kylian Mbappe claimed the top spots.

The full FC 26 database will be revealed on September 12, but the list of new Icons joining Ultimate Team is already out, including legendary names like Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Andres Iniesta and Francesco Totti.

EA Sports FC 26 drops, fittingly, on September 26 for PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo consoles as well as PC.

Uber reveals plans to offer helicopter taxis in new partnership

by admin September 10, 2025

Uber users in will soon be able to book helicopter rides through the app, thanks to an expanded partnership with Joby Aviation’s new Blade transport company.

The new option will let travelers request Joby-operated helicopters to and from area airports directly in the Uber app, appearing as a premium alternative alongside regular ride types. The feature is expected to go live as early as 2026.

Uber has worked with Joby Aviation since 2019, when it sold its Elevate division to the electric aircraft developer. Joby is targeting FAA certification for its electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft in 2025, with a commercial launch slated for 2026. Once certified, Joby’s eVTOL aircraft will also be integrated into the Uber platform.

Article continues after ad

This comes after Joby announced its $125 million acquisition of Blade, a helicopter and air transport company that will be the structure behind the Uber helicopters.

Uber’s familiarity with helicopters

This isn’t the first time Uber has given customers the ability to order a helicopter through the app. Before 2020, the rideshare company offered rides around New York – but those flights ended when they sold that division to Joby in 2020.

Article continues after ad

Uber has also offered its UberChopper service in Dubai, where customers in the country could order 12, 15, or 25-minute sightseeing tours around the area. But, like the New York flights, the Dubai tours are no longer available in 2025.

The deal underscores Uber’s strategy to expand into aerial transport, starting with helicopters now and moving toward electric air taxis once regulators give the green light.

Apple Reveals Ultra-Thin iPhone Air Alongside Smarter Wearables

Apple Reveals Ultra-Thin iPhone Air Alongside Smarter Wearables

by admin September 9, 2025

In brief

  • New Center Stage camera adds smarter framing, 4K HDR, and dual capture across iPhone 17 models.
  • iOS 26 brings on-device AI tools, including live translation, smart screenshots, and spam filters.
  • Final Cut Camera 2.0 adds ProRes RAW, genlock, and Apple Log 2 to iPhone 17 Pro for pro video work.

Apple’s new iPhone Air, its slimmest smartphone yet, led a slate of product announcements Tuesday, as the company focused on design, performance, and somewhat restrained emphasis on artificial intelligence across its devices.

Instead of spotlighting a major AI overhaul, humanoid robots, or a Siri reboot, the company leaned on thinner and more efficient phones—including enhanced iPhone 17 models alongside the Air—higher-performance chips, and incremental steps toward embedding AI and machine learning into its health, fitness, photo, and video applications.

One example: The new AirPods Pro 3 will offer a feature called Live Translation, enabling the earbuds to translate speech in real time through Apple Intelligence. They also include upgraded ANC, heart-rate monitoring, and extended battery life.

Apple also highlighted the expanded use of recycled titanium and aluminum after the company said in August it would bring iOS device glass manufacturing back to the United States. Here is what was announced on Tuesday.

iPhone 17 and iPhone Air

The iPhone 17 introduced several upgrades, including a 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR display with slimmer borders, 3,000 nits of peak brightness, and a second-generation Ceramic Shield that Apple claims triples scratch resistance. A 48-megapixel Dual Fusion camera system now includes a new square-sensor front camera, offering wider fields of view and AI-assisted group framing.

Powering the device is Apple’s A19 chip, a six-core CPU paired with integrated Neural Accelerators. Apple said it enables on-device generative AI tasks and doubles graphics performance compared with the iPhone 13. Battery life stretches to 30 hours of video playback, with fast charging via a 40W adapter.

The iPhone 17 starts at $799 with 256GB of storage and comes in black, lavender, mist blue, sage, and white. Preorders open Sept. 12, with availability beginning Sept. 19.

iPhone Air. Image: Apple

More notably, Apple introduced the iPhone Air—a 5.6-millimeter device that repositions internal components to maximize battery life in what it calls its lightest, most durable frame yet. The Air features a 6.5-inch display with ProMotion support up to 120Hz and uses the same Ceramic Shield on both front and back.

The phone runs on the A19 Pro chip and adds a new C1X modem that Apple says is twice as fast while drawing 30% less power. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, Thread, and faster 5G. The camera array includes a 48-megapixel main sensor with what Apple says is optical-quality 2x telephoto and Focus Control for portraits.

A magnetic battery pack accessory can extend use by up to 40 hours. The iPhone Air starts at $999.

iPhone Pro models

The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max round out the lineup, built with aerospace-grade aluminum, a vapor chamber cooling system, and the new A19 Pro chip. Both models feature Super Retina displays—6.3 inches for the Pro, 6.9 inches for the Max—and maintain the 3,000-nit brightness standard.

The Pro cameras go fully triple-lens: 48-megapixel main, ultra wide, and a telephoto with a tetraprism lens capable of 4x optical zoom at 100mm and 8x digital zoom at 200mm. Pro-level video tools include ProRes RAW, Apple Log 2, and genlock syncing.

Apple claims the Pro Max delivers the longest battery life of any iPhone, with up to 39 hours of video playback. Both models support eSIM in select markets. The iPhone 17 Pro starts at $1,099; the Pro Max at $1,199, with capacities up to 2TB.

Apple iPhone 17 Pro. Image: Apple

Apple’s new Center Stage front camera, available across the iPhone 17 Pro, Pro Max, and iPhone Air, introduces the first square sensor on an iPhone and brings several AI-driven improvements to both photography and video.

The upgraded 18-megapixel camera offers a wider field of view and allows users to capture photos and videos in portrait or landscape—even while holding the phone vertically. The system uses AI to detect subjects and automatically adjust framing during group selfies, expanding the field of view and rotating orientation to include everyone in the shot.

Video tools now include ultra-stabilized 4K HDR recording and a new Dual Capture mode that records from the front and rear cameras simultaneously—aimed at creators filming reaction or commentary content while capturing action in the background.

During FaceTime and third-party video calls, Center Stage uses subject tracking to keep users centered and in frame, adapting as they move or shift positions.

Final Cut Camera 2.0

Apple also announced Final Cut Camera 2.0, a major update to its pro video app that brings ProRes RAW and genlock support to the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max.

ProRes RAW lets users capture raw sensor data for flexible post-production editing, while genlock enables frame-accurate sync across multiple devices for professional multi-cam setups. The update also adds open gate recording, Apple Log 2 for expanded dynamic range, and 200mm telephoto capture at up to 4K60 fps.

Final Cut Camera 2.0 integrates with the new Center Stage front camera, offering manual control over orientation and framing for creators recording with the front lens. The app also supports timecode modes and pairing with Final Cut Pro for iPad via Live Multicam.

AirPods Pro 3 and Apple Watch

Apple also upgraded its line of wearables. The AirPods Pro 3, priced at $249, introduce real-time translation powered by Apple Intelligence. Spoken results play through the earbuds, with contextual text appearing on paired iPhones.

The earbuds now include a custom heart-rate sensor, support for 50 workout types, and a new “Workout Buddy” feature that offers voice coaching during exercise. Battery life hits eight hours, or 10 in hearing-aid mode. Foam-infused tips come in five sizes, including an XXS fit.

On the wrist, the Apple Watch Series 11 adds a new ceramic coating, liquid glass face, and a circular 5G antenna for improved efficiency. Battery life reaches 24 hours. Health features include AI-powered hypertension detection, with FDA clearance pending, and new sleep tracking with quality scoring.

The Apple Watch SE 3 gets an always-on display, the S10 chip, and faster 5G, with sleep tracking, ovulation history, and apnea notifications.

At the top end, the Apple Watch Ultra 3 adds a larger, wide-angle OLED display, 42 hours of battery life (72 hours in low power mode), and two-way satellite messaging for emergency communication. It’s positioned for endurance athletes, with enhanced GPS, cycling metrics, stroke detection for swimmers, and offline hiking maps. Pricing starts at $799.

Apple Intelligence

Apple continued its measured rollout of artificial intelligence with iOS 26, introducing new features under the “Apple Intelligence” label that rely on on-device processing and privacy-first design.

Live Translation, one of the flagship additions, enables real-time text and audio translation across Messages, FaceTime, and Phone—with results delivered both audibly and on-screen. Apple said the feature works entirely on-device and does not require an internet connection.

New visual intelligence tools allow users to take screenshots and immediately search or act on what’s shown—such as identifying landmarks, extracting text, or navigating to settings. These updates build on Apple’s approach of integrating machine learning into existing workflows rather than overhauling the interface.

The company also introduced screening tools for phone calls and messages designed to filter out spam and unwanted interruptions, using AI to prioritize relevant contacts.

Under the hood, iOS 26 features Apple’s own foundation model—running locally on-device—which is now accessible to third-party developers. Apple said apps can leverage these capabilities to deliver personalized, private AI functions, even when offline.

Despite the new tools, Apple Intelligence stops short of offering a conversational assistant or chatbot. Instead, the company framed the features as utility-focused enhancements, embedded within apps and designed to avoid dependence on the cloud.

Fidelity’s Timmer Reveals Why It Makes Sense for Bitcoin to Be at the Top

by admin September 9, 2025

  • Not passing the paton (so far)
  • Cycle top?

Jurrien Timmer, director of global macro at Boston-based investment giant Fidelity, claims that it makes sense for Bitcoin to sit at the top of the table of investment returns alongside gold and international equities.

Meanwhile, bonds remain at the very bottom amid US fiscal dominance that is boosting domestic assets.

He argues that the ongoing artificial intelligence (AI) boom continues to fuel US large caps.

Bitcoin, which mainly stands out due to its scarcity, tends to benefit from weakening fiat.

Not passing the paton (so far)

In May, Timmer predicted that gold might end up passing the baton to Bitcoin in the second half of the year.

However, this has not happened so far as the lustrous metal keeps outperforming its digital rival.

In late August, Timmer opined that Bitcoin and gold were “right in balance” with each other after the former reached a new record high. However, Bitcoin’s rally stalled, and gold continued vastly outperforming it in September.

Earlier today, gold reached yet another all-time high, surging above $3,650, as investors are increasingly betting on the yellow metal ahead of the Fed’s widely predicted rate cuts.

Timmer recently predicted that the Fed could potentially restart quantitative easing (QE) engines, which is expected to boost Bitcoin (BTC) and gold.

Cycle top?

While there are still debates about whether Bitcoin’s halvening-driven four-year cycles are still a thing due to the growing influence of institutional money participants, Timmer believes that the leading cryptocurrency continues to follow them.

In July, he opined that both Bitcoin and gold were still “in the middle innings” of the hard money trade, pointing to the size of the global money supply and the dollar’s strength.

GTA 6 leak reveals potential in-game sites that parody Uber and more

by admin September 9, 2025

A number of in-game websites and apps which may well be a part of GTA 6 have leaked, and they appear to parody the likes of Uber and WhatsApp.

A post on the GTA Forums from insider Tez2 (known for their Rockstar tips) revealed they had come across “domains all registered on May 27 under Take-Two’s nameservers” which they believe relate to Grand Theft Auto 6.

“These domains could be in-game sites that [Rockstar] may redirect to 6’s page later on, like what we’ve seen with 4 and 5,” they wrote.

These sites are:

  • what-up.app
  • rydeme.app
  • buckme.app
  • leonidagov.org
  • brianandbradley.com
  • hookers-galore.com
  • wipeoutcornskin.com

What-up.app is a name you may recognise. This chap was uncovered in the GTA 6 leaks from 2022, and is supposed to be the copycat for Whatsapp.

Some in the GTA Forums have surmised that rydeme will be an Uber-like app, and buckme could be something along the lines of a Patreon or PayPal equivalent (though, my first thought was some kind of deliverable bucking bronco like rodeo stall you find in Western bars). Hookers-galore seems pretty self explanatory.

Some have speculated that brianandbradley.com, meanwhile, is a spin on Florida law firm Morgan and Morgan, which despite where my Rockstar trained mind went, is unrelated to Red Dead’s Arthur Morgan. Anyway, I had a quick google, and apparently historically Morgan and Morgan is considered a firm focused on personal injury, medical malpractice and class action lawsuits. Personal injury sounds like something many GTA characters will be dealing with, so that would fit.

Again, there is nothing official to say these apps and websites will definitely appear in GTA 6, but it doesn’t seem unreasonable to imagine Jason and Lucia using an app to call a car to take them across Vice City.
