Bitcoin Price Still On Track To Hit $165,000, JPMorgan Analysts Reveal Timeline

by admin October 4, 2025

Trusted Editorial content, reviewed by leading industry experts and seasoned editors. Ad Disclosure

JPMorgan analysts, led by Nikolaos Panigirtzoglou, have predicted that the Bitcoin price could still rally to $165,000. They also provided a timeline for when this could happen and their reasons for this bullish outlook on the flagship crypto.

JPMorgan Analysts Predict Bitcoin Price Rally To $165,000

JPMorgan stated that Bitcoin is undervalued against gold and that it had significant upside to $165,000, which it could reach by year-end, marking a new all-time high (ATH) for BTC. Analysts at the bank noted that the steep rise in the gold price over the past month has made Bitcoin more attractive to investors relative to gold, especially as the BTC-to-gold volatility has drifted lower to below 2.0.

The analysts noted that this volatility ratio implies that BTC currently consumes 1.85 times more risk capital than gold. Therefore, BTC’s market cap would have to “mechanically” rise by close 42%, putting the Bitcoin price at $165,000, to match the volume-adjusted basis of the around $6 trillion of private sector investment in gold. In line with this, the JPMorgan analysts declared that the mechanical exercise could thus imply significant upside for BTC.

The JPMorgan analysts also alluded to the ‘debasement trade’ as investors continue to invest in Bitcoin and gold as a hedge against inflation. This is evident in the increase in Bitcoin ETF inflows once again, with these funds taking in over $3.2 billion in net inflows this week, according to SoSo Value data.

This marks the second-largest net weekly inflows since they launched last year. Thanks to this, the BTC price has started October on a high note, up already 7% since the start of the month. Meanwhile, BTC already came close to reaching its ATH of $124,400 yesterday, rising to as high as $124,000.

Standard Chartered Gives More Bullish Prediction

Standard Chartered analyst Geoff Kendrick has provided a more bullish outlook for the Bitcoin price, predicting that it could rally to $200,000 by year-end. He believes that BTC could hit a new record if the U.S. government shutdown is prolonged, noting the flagship crypto’s correlation with Treasury term premiums.

He also predicted that the BTC price could rally to $200,000 as more inflows pile into the BTC ETFs, with investors viewing the crypto asset as a hedge against macroeconomic uncertainty. Meanwhile, the Standard Chartered analyst forecasts that BTC could rally to $135,000 soon, which is above Citigroup’s $132,000 year-end target for the flagship crypto. Notably, rallies to these targets will mark a new ATH for Bitcoin.

At the time of writing, the Bitcoin price is trading at around $112,500, up over 2% in the last 24 hours, according to data from CoinMarketCap.

Baldur’s Gate 3 custom campaign mod Path to Menzoberranzan breaks silence with update on development re-think and character reveal tease

by admin October 4, 2025

The modders behind a Baldur’s Gate 3 custom campaign dubbed Path to Menzoberranzan have put out their first progress update in a few months, having gone silent just after getting their first build working around June. The reason for that quiet spell, according to the group, has been a “wild” summer in which they’ve had to revamp their development pipeline to better fit the scale they’re aiming for with the mod.

They’ve also teased full reveals of three characters who’ll be playing roles in what the Path to Menzoberranzan team have thus far pitched as a custom adventure through some returning locations from previous games in the series to the Drow city that serves as the mod’s namesake.

“It’s been a while since our last progress update, but rest assured that we’ve been working hard behind the scenes,” Path to Menzoberranzan community manager Andrew Simone wrote in this latest announcement on the mod’s Discord server. “We promise the silence has been for a very good reason.”

“The past few months have been wild: what started as a rebuild of one area of Baldur’s Gate II has grown into a full-scale campaign,” he explained. “That leap has meant re-thinking a lot of our processes, from how we collaborate to how we build content. Our summer was spent tightening up our production pipeline so we can deliver something truly special!”

Simone went to on the add that the mod’s team “is kicking back into high gear, more so than ever before”, before teasing full reveals of “some unique individuals” including “a Drow cleric of Eilistraee, a swashbuckling human, a man resembling Frankenstein’s monster, and more!”

There’s no mention of the demo which the modders looked close to releasing around the time of their June update, with a Q and A section of the mod’s Discord that was last updated in June reading: “The team is working towards the first playable demo. At this time, the timeline for this demo is under review.” So, it’d seem the need for these few months of rejigging has led the group to move away from their original plan of aiming to release said demo around 2025’s midpoint.

Those sorts of changes or delays understandably always lead to folks wondering whether the project’s in danger of fizzling out, given how many ambitious mods have suffered that fate. Though, it’s worth noting that there have also been plenty of big mods which’ve still delivered despite certain elements taking longer than originally expected. While it’s a mod that’s been in development much longer than Path to Menzoberranzan, Fallout: London developers Team FOLON have only just released their first DLC, announced all the way back in December 2024. Some extra work on future save compatibility was acknowledged as part of the reason why that ended up being the time it took.

This latest Path to Menzoberranzan update concluded with an announcement that the modders are recruiting for six roles across their technical, user experience and design departments. These gigs are for a systems programmer, an integration programmer, a UX designer, a systems UX lead, an emotional UX lead, and game designer. If you’re interested, more details can be found via the recruiting channel of the mod’s Discord server.

‘Fortnite’ Ditches ‘Peacemaker’ Emote After the Show’s Big Reveal

by admin September 29, 2025

This week’s Peacemaker episode ended with a twist fans have been calling for weeks, and now it’s affecting the show’s Fortnite presence.

At the end of Thursday’s “Ignorance is Chris,” the 11th Street Kids go to find Chris in the alternate universe he’s been hanging around in. Turns out it’s the Nazi dimension, made clear by Adebayo getting chased down by white people and the swastika in place of the 50 stars on the American flag. On Saturday night, Epic Games revealed it was disabling the “Peacemaker Hips” emote while it “inquires into our partner’s creative intentions. Assuming it’s not coming back, we’ll issue refunds in the next few days.”

Peacemaker’s dance emote from Fortnite has been disabled.

“As we inquire into our partner’s creative intentions in this collab emote. Assuming it’s not coming back, we’ll issue refunds in the next few days.” pic.twitter.com/hwHqOiid1o

— DiscussingFilm (@DiscussingFilm) September 28, 2025

The “Hips” emoji references the show’s season two intro, which has its cast flap their arms up and down in a way that makes them look like swastikas. That dance may also have been hiding the Nazi twist in plain sight (boy, what a sentence), so Epic’s spent two weeks potentially unaware that it was charging people 400 V-bucks (or $3.29) to make their characters dance like Nazis. At time of writing, neither WB or James Gunn have commented on the emote being disabled.

Fortnite’s no stranger to emote-related controversy, but the apparent secrecy behind the Peacemaker dance’s intent makes this all so fascinating from different angles. Is Gunn and WB at fault for not giving Epic a heads up about the meaning, or did the developer not do its job in properly vetting it? Is this just what happens as IP collaborations become so normalized, which Fortnite itself has had a hand in? The aftermath of this will be interesting to watch play out, and probably make the emote itself feel like an important part of the game’s ever-evolving life.

Black Ops 7 devs reveal $100 Vault Edition weapons won’t change after skin backlash

by admin September 24, 2025

Black Ops 7 developers have clarified that the Mastercraft weapons from the Vault Edition of the game won’t be updated despite the skins changing.

There have been some iconic special edition versions of Call of Duty titles. The original Modern Warfare 2 (2009) had Night Vision Goggles as a part of its special edition, while Black Ops had a drivable RC-XD for fans to own.

Those physical special edition releases have slowed down a bit in recent years, making way for in-game skins, early access periods, and bonus CoD points as things have gone all-digital.

Black Ops 7’s Vault Edition has already undergone some changes, too. A number of the skins from the $100 edition were updated amid backlash, including the T.E.D.D. Operator. The TranZit bus driver has been updated to look more terrifying.

Mastercraft weapons won’t change in Black Ops 7

With the skins being changed, some fans wondered if the five Mastercraft weapon bluperints would also be undergoing a revamp.

However, Treyarch has clarified things, revealing that it won’t be the case. “Don’t believe. I don’t think so,” Design Director Matt Scronce told CharlieIntel when quizzed about it.

“Most of the feedback is really about the operators anyway. Right? So we do wanna make sure that those still feel lost when fun,” Treyarch’s Ben Lewis added. “I mean, if you look at the ones from BO6, they were pretty out there too.”

Treyarch. There are 5 Mastercraft blueprints in Black Ops 7’s Vault Edition.

As noted, there are five Mastercraft weapon bluperints in the Vault Edition. These are:

  • Blank Certainty Blueprint – Peacemaker MK1 (Assault Rifle)
  • Authorized Destroyed Blueprint – Dravec 45 (SMG)
  • Dire Experiment Blueprint – M10 Breacher (Shotgun)
  • Ballistic Scyth3 Blueprint – VS RECON (Sniper Rifle)
  • Shock Blade Blueprint – Flatline Mk.II (Melee)

They will be available at launch in Multiplayer for Vault Edition owners, while the Mastercraft Weapon Collection will be available in Warzone when Season 1 kicks off.

Annapurna Interactive will reveal three new games in a showcase on September 23

by admin September 16, 2025

Annapurna Interactive is hosting a games showcase on September 23, 2025 at 8PM ET / 5PM PT to show off three of its upcoming games. The publisher says the “Annapurna Interactive Direct from Tokyo” will stream on YouTube and feature new games from Kyoto-based developer Marumittu Games, Iridium Studios and Yarn Owl. Annapurna Interactive held its previous games showcase this past February to show off games like Skin Deep and Wheel World.

Marumittu Games’ Annapurna project was initially detailed in 2023 when the publisher announced it was working with the studio. At the time, Marumittu said it was pulling from the work of journalist Rutger Bregman and Homo Deus author Yuval Noah Harari to make a game that’s “thinking about humanity in the future.” Developer Yarn Owl similarly teased its project a year earlier in 2022, saying that it was inspired by The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. Annapurna Interactive hasn’t formally announced its partnership with Iridium Studios, but the developer does list its next game as “an unannounced RPG with an unannounced partner” on its website, which certainly sounds like it could be what Annapurna plans to show off at its showcase.

Despite what seems like a fairly normal past year of game releases, the future and long-term stability of Annapurna Interactive has been in question since the mass-resignation of the publisher’s staff in 2024. Since then, Annapurna Interactive has continued to announce and release games, while the publisher’s former staff spun up a new publisher to support in-development projects from Take-Two’s shuttered indie label, Private Division.

Peacemaker Season 2 reveal could change the DCU forever

by admin September 12, 2025

A revelation at the end of Peacemaker Season 2 Episode 4 could fundamentally change what’s possible in the DC Universe going forward.

Peacemaker is serving as something of a bridge in the DCU, acting as a sequel to Suicide Squad, introducing characters for the movies, and continuing storylines from Superman.

According to writer-director James Gunn, the last three episodes of Season 2 will also set up his next film, Man of Tomorrow.

Gunn has also added longtime collaborator Michael Rooker to the mix – as eagle hunting madman Red St. Wild – and in Episode 4 he brought something new to the live-action DCU.

Peacemaker Season 2 adds sorcery to the DCU

At the end of Season 2 Episode 4, Red St. Wild marches through a forest at night, tearing his clothes off. He then does a (seemingly) traditional Native American dance around a fire, and draws an eagle in the ground using his own blood.

Magical flames then emerge from the fire, that eagle shape appears on his forehead, Wild soars through the air, and follows Eagly to where he’s holed up, meaning the hunter has found his prey, inspiring Red St. Wild to say, “I got you motherf*cker!”

Speaking of this moment on the official Peacemaker podcast, Steve Agee – aka John Economos – says: “Leading up to this moment, he’s kind-of a jokey character, but we see that he’s legit. He’s conjuring up some sh*t.”

James Gunn agrees, and points out that this is a big moment for magic in his DC Universe.

HBO Max

“He does sorcery,” says Gunn. “So we see sorcery for the first time in Peacemaker. We’ve seen a little bit of it in Creature Commandos in the DCU, but this is the first time we see any type of magic. He’s a Magic Man.”

That opens the door for more sorcery in the DC movies, from the likes of Zantana, Doctor Fate, John Constantine, and of course Enchantress, who used magic in the DCEU but is yet to appear in the DCU.

Blizzard brings Diablo 4’s Developer Update livestreams back from the dead to reveal Season 10

by admin September 10, 2025

Things haven’t been going well in the world of Diablo 4. Everyone pretty much knows that, but it’s especially weird when Blizzard can be seen has having given up itself. In August, the studio took the very unusual step of announcing the game’s next PTR (Public Test Realm) via… a Discord Q&A.

That’s the 2.4.0. PTR, containing much of the Season of Infernal Chaos content, which would typically be enough of a big deal to warrant multiple developer livestreams. The PTR has come and gone, and we’re now under two weeks away from the start of the game’s next season, so now we’re getting a developer livestream.

Blizzard announced that the next Developer Update livestream will take place on Tuesday, September 16. You’ll note that this is not the less structured, more casual Campfire Chat, which is about as good of a sign as we can get.

The show kicks off at the usual times – 11am PT, 2pm ET, 7pm UK – and will serve as the last preview of Season of Infernal Chaos, Diablo 4’s 10th season. We expect the new season to kick off September 23, so there’s just about enough time to start building excitement.

As always, there’s going to be a panel of developers who will guide us through the big new content additions, and what’s changed from the season’s 2.4.0. PTR (held in August). The livestream announcement namedropped Chaos Armor, Chaos Rifts and the updated Infernal Hordes among the topics we can expect to see discussed.

There’s going to be a Q&A segment at the end, too, as usual. What is changing is the format of the livestream itself. Blizzard didn’t say what form it’s going to now take, so we’ll have to tune in next week to see for ourselves.

We’ll be able to do so via Diablo’s official channels on YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, and TikTok. And, Blizzard is throwing in a free cosmetic – the Fusillader’s Arc Rogue Crossbow – if you watch any Diablo 4 livestream on Twitch for 30 minutes while the Developer Update is live.

Season 10 is the last announced season on the Diablo 4 2025 roadmap, which was revealed in April. It’s going to take us all the way to December, so that’s pretty much it for Diablo 4 seasons in 2025. Apart from the next IP collaboration taking place in the season, Blizzard really has its work cut out for it to make a case for Infernal Chaos, because Season 9 has been a major letdown.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 Reveal Date Already Decided, Says Nomura

by admin September 7, 2025

With two games in the bag, the finale of the Final Fantasy Remake Trilogy is inevitably drawing closer. Last year saw the middle chapter of the saga, Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth, released on console and PC, and producer Tetsuya Nomura says that Square Enix knows exactly when it’ll officially reveal the game. Just don’t expect him to provide a reveal date–for the reveal date–for the game announcement just yet.

“It is going very smoothly,” Nomura said during a recent Final Fantasy 7 Ever Crisis livestream (translated by Genki JPN on Twitter/X). “The announcement timing has been decided, and we will stick to that schedule, so please rest assured and wait.”

Nomura says FF7 Remake Part 3 and Kingdom Hearts 4 are progressing well and according to schedule!

— Genki✨ (@Genki_JPN) September 5, 2025

Nomura also added that work on Kingdom Hearts 4 is “progressing well and according to schedule,” but he remained quiet on any other details regarding the long-in-development game. As for Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3, it remains to be seen if Square Enix will formally announce the game on its own channels or through a partner event. Final Fantasy 7 Remake was first revealed during the 2015 PlayStation Showcase during E3 2015, while Final Fantasy: Rebirth was unveiled during Summer Game Fest 2023.

Details on the game are being kept under wraps for now, but back in January, series producer Yoshinori Kitase revealed that the story scenario for it was completed by the end of 2024 and that he was “very satisfied” with it. Game director Naoki Hamaguchi also confirmed that development on the third game began right after Rebirth was completed.

While Rebirth introduced some big changes and plot twists to the established lore of Final Fantasy 7, one of the other big changes we could see is a multiplatform release for the game. The previous Final Fantasy 7 remake games were timed exclusives for PS4 and PS5, but Square Enix’s new multiplatform strategy to secure long-term growth could see the game launch the same day on PC and Xbox Series X|S so that it can reach a wider audience.

Stripe and Paradigm Reveal Tempo Blockchain, Built With Help From OpenAI and Visa

by admin September 4, 2025

In brief

  • Stripe and Paradigm are building a layer-1 blockchain built specifically for stablecoins and payments.
  • Tempo is being built with major design partners like OpenAI, Shopify, and Visa.
  • The blockchain will allow transaction fee payments in any stablecoin and have advanced privacy features.

Tempo, a layer-1 blockchain built specifically for stablecoins and payments, was announced on Thursday by a pair of prominent partners—fintech giant Stripe and crypto venture capital firm Paradigm.

The Ethereum Virtual Machine-compatible blockchain is receiving early design input from major global firms like OpenAI, Visa, and Shopify, as it builds its network with “high-throughput, low-cost global transactions for any business use case.”

Plans for the network were first reported by Fortune in August, following a mention of the chain in a job listing.

“As stablecoins go mainstream, there’s a growing need for optimized infrastructure. Much of today’s crypto stack either explicitly or implicitly caters to trading (a highly valuable use case in its own right) but is comparatively underoptimized for payments,” wrote Matt Huang, Paradigm’s founder and the lead at Tempo.

In addition to low fees and its payments-centric experience, the network expects to enable more than 100,000 transactions per second (TPS) with privacy features that will allow users to keep some transaction details hidden. It will also make use of an automated market maker (AMM) that allows transaction fees to be paid via any stablecoin.

Thrilled to team up with @Tempo as a design partner to see what’s possible with a payments-first blockchain. The pace of crypto innovation is incredible at this time, and we’re ready to learn and build alongside them. https://t.co/1LmfXeDZxI

— Andy Fang (@andyfang) September 4, 2025

“Tempo eases the path to bringing real-world flows on-chain,” Huang posted on X, highlighting Tempo’s potential for onboarding global payrolls, remittances, microtransactions, and agentic payments to blockchain.

The network is currently in private testnet, as the team experiments with use cases like e-commerce and cross-boarder payments with its global partners, according to its website.

Some of its design partners are also acting as validators for the network, but Tempo will eventually transition to an open, permissionless network. In other words, anyone will be able to participate in network validation in the future.

“At Stripe, we care about high-throughput, low-latency payments use cases,” wrote Stripe CEO Patrick Collison. “As the use of stablecoins (and crypto more broadly) grows across Stripe, Bridge, and Privy, we found that existing blockchains are not optimized for them.”

Stripe’s incubation of Tempo will rival layer-1 network plans from Google and Circle, as crypto becomes increasingly intertwined with traditional finance.

The payments giant acquired crypto wallet infrastructure firm Privy in June, less than one year after spending $1.1 billion to snatch up stablecoin payment platform, Bridge.

Tempo wasn’t the only stablecoin network announcement on Thursday, either. Crypto infrastructure firm Fireblocks also launched its Fireblocks Network, which is supported by USDC issuer Circle and more than 40 other providers.

Hollow Knight Just Hit An All-Time Peak On Steam After Silksong Release Date Reveal

by admin August 25, 2025

2017’s Hollow Knight just reached a new all-time peak concurrent-player record on Steam, and the achievement came just after developer Team Cherry announced the release date for its sequel, Silksong.

Hollow Knight reached an all-time peak concurrent record of 23,819 on Steam today, August 22. Measuring a game’s popularity by Steam concurrent numbers is never a perfect or complete encapsulation of a game’s popularity, and Hollow Knight being an exclusively single-player game that doesn’t rely on people playing at the same time muddies the waters as well. But what is evident here is that Hollow Knight’s popularity on Steam is growing in the wake of the big Silksong reveal.

Now Playing: Hollow Knight: Silksong – Official Release Date Reveal Gameplay Trailer

Hollow Knight’s previously Steam concurrent record of around 20,000 players was achieved in May 2022. All of this data comes from SteamDB.

Steam’s own sales data shows that Hollow Knight jumped into the top 50 overall best-selling games on the platform. The game is also available on console platforms, but sales or engagement data is not available. Hollow Knight is also available on Game Pass (and Silksong will be as well).

At least three games have already been delayed due, in part, to Silksong. The game is set for release on September 4, and it’s been a long time coming.

“Hollow Knight: Silksong appears to be exactly what we all should have expected: a strong, well-designed, visually lovely game that carries forward the aesthetic and design philosophies of the original with thoughtful, if not earth-shattering, updates,” GameSpot’s Steve Watts wrote after going hands-on with Silksong at Gamescom this week.
