Samsung Cuts Galaxy Z Flip7 to Record Low Without Trade-In, Fighting Back Against Apple’s iPhone 17 Release

by admin September 9, 2025

For all the Android-heads out there, you can upgrade whatever you’re working with now to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 for a discounted price. At this time, Samsung’s seventh generation flippable smartphone has dropped by 14% for the base storage option and by 12% for the large storage option. The 256GB Galaxy smartphone is down from $1,100 to $950, saving you $150. Likewise, the 512GB model is down from $1,220 to $1,070, also saving you $150. Amazon has three color options all on sale. Choose between blue shadow, coral red, or jet black.

Samsung first launched it flippable and foldable lines of smartphones back in 2020. If you’ve been afraid to jump on as an early adopter before the kinks have all been worked at, well now we’re on the seventh generation. It’s got quite a bit of updates since then so now’s a good time to get on board.

See at Amazon

When closed, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 can display the time, date, your notifications, and other brief details across its edge-to-edge cover screen.

Take hand-free selfies. Just open the Flip7 at a 90-degree angle so it can stand itself up. now you can use the outer camera lenses to take high-quality selfies (higher than front-facing cameras tend to be). Even use it for recording videos or taking video calls as you’re able to see your video and your callers video thanks to the cover screen. The outside features a 12MP ultra-wide lens as well as a 50MP wide lens capable of 2x optical quality zoom. If you still want to use the inside main camera, that one is 10MP.

Flip Without Fear

Now I’d understand your main concern with a flip phone being it’s durability. Plenty of flip phones snapped at their hinges back in the day, so how does the Flip7 hold up? Well, it’s built with Armor FlexHinge which is designed to close thinner while protecting the phone’s hinge. There are seven generations of iteration and innovation at play here. Additionally, it’s protected with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and is encased in a strong yet light Armor Aluminum frame.

Though, the most underrated feature is being to hang up dramatically. When’s the last time you yell “Good day!” through the phone and then slammed it shut. Gently pressing the End Call button just doesn’t have the same oomph.

Get yourself the Samsung Galaxy Flip7 in three stylish colors for $150 off for a limited time. The 256GB model is down to $950 while the 512GB model is down to $1,070.

Four Legendary John Woo Action Movies Release On 4K Blu-Ray This Fall

by admin September 9, 2025

When it comes to action, the golden age of Hong Kong cinema is hard to beat. During the ’80s and ’90s, some of the best movies in the genre were made here, and at long last, all three movies in the A Better Tomorrow saga are headed to 4K Blu-ray as a box set with tons of new special features. Restored by Shout Factory, A Better Tomorrow Trilogy is available to preorder for $100 ahead of its November 18 release. Shout Factory is also releasing a 4K Blu-ray edition of Hard Boiled on November 4. This Deluxe Edition looks promising as well, but it’s worth noting the price has jumped from $40 to $65 at Amazon and Walmart. It’s unlikely to launch at this price, and you won’t be charged for preorder until it ships.

$100 | Releases November 18

Directed by renowned filmmakers John Woo and Tsui Hark, all three A Better Tomorrow movies have been remastered in 4K from the original camera negatives. Each one is presented in Dolby Vision–and are HDR-10 compatible and viewers can choose between the original Cantonese language track or the English dub, in DTS-HD Master Audio mono and English DTS-HD Master Audio mono. If you choose to go with the original Cantonese audio, each film features newly translated English subtitles. You’ll also get an exclusive poster in this box set, based on the newly commissioned art.

Each film is accompanied by dozens of brand-new extras, which are mostly audio commentary tracks and interviews with established film critics, members of the cast and crew, and even notable directors like Gareth Evans (The Raid). The real jewel of this collection is the sought-after workprint of A Better Tomorrow 2, which was thought to be lost for years. This version of Woo’s sequel was originally re-edited producer Tsui Hark, and it features an extra 30 minutes of footage. While Woo considers it to be the black sheep of the trilogy–the third film was in turn directed by Hark–he has still spoken fondly about its climatic gunfight as some of his best work in cinema.

You’ll also find the Taiwanese cut of A Better Tomorrow 3 here, which adds around 10 extra minutes of content, resulting in several extended scenes. The seven-disc collection includes 4K UHD and 1080p Blu-ray editions of each film.

You can check out the full list of features on each disc below.

Disc 7 A Better Tomorrow 2 and 3 (Blu-ray)

  • Long-lost A Better Tomorrow 2 workprint featuring over 30 minutes of never-before-seen footage
  • A Better Tomorrow 3 – Taiwanese cut

A Better Tomorrow starred Chow Yun-fat as conflicted police officer Mark Lee, trapped between duty and honor when senior Triad gangster Sung Tse-Ho–who Lee has close ties to–asks him to help avenge the murder of a family member. Released in 1986, the film was a big critical hit and it set the stage for director John Woo and Chow Yun-fat’s eventual journey to Hollywood.

In 1987, A Better Tomorrow 2 was released, and it featured a wild plot twist to justify its existence–for reasons we won’t spoil here in case you never saw the first movie. Like its predecessor, the film featured over-the-top action, explosions, and a ludicrous bodycount once characters finally ran out of bullets.

A Better Tomorrow 3: Love and Death in Saigon brought the series to a close in 1989 and it’s a prequel to the first movie. Set during the final days of the Vietnam War, the story isn’t the best, but it does boast incredible action sequences throughout. Interestingly, Woo’s original vision for the film was different and led to him exiting the director’s chair after he and Hark experienced creative differences. Woo’s script would eventually evolve into 1990’s Bullet in the Head.

As mentioned, the other big new release in the Hong Kong Cinema Classics collection is Hard Boiled. Released in 1992, Hard Boiled is one of the best action movies of all time–and the best collaboration between John Woo and Chow Yun-fat. Over-the-top and incredibly fun, Hard Boiled as a straightforward plot centered around a cop seeking revenge against a gang of criminals. Mayhem ensues, the action is extreme, and Chow Yun-fat is effortlessly cool in every scene, including that iconic shootout in a hospital.

$65 | Releases November 4

Shout Factory’s Deluxe Edition resurrects the cult-classic with a brand-new 4K scan from the original camera negatives, adding in Dolby Vision and HDR 10 support along with the Cantonese and English dub in DTS-HD Master Audio Mono. Like the A Better Tomorrow trilogy, there are also new English subtitles in this release as well and the box set includes an exclusive 52-page collectible booklet.

The three-disc set also includes a standard Blu-ray copy of the film and it contains plenty of bonus materials, like several newly filmed interviews with Woo and other key members of the crew. Topping it all off is a collection of new audio commentary tracks with film critics and historians–as well as the audio commentary from John Woo and several more people that the Criterion Collection recorded–deleted scenes, trailers, and an image gallery.

We included a list of features on each disc below.

Disc 1 (4K)

  • Optional English subtitles newly translated for this release (new)
  • Audio commentary with director John Woo and film journalist Drew Tayler (new)
  • Audio commentary with film historian Frank Djeng (new)
  • Audio commentary with director John Woo, producer Terence Chang, filmmaker Roger Avary, and critic Dave Kehr (recorded by the Criterion Collection)

Disc 2 (Blu-ray)

  • Audio commentary with director John Woo and film journalist Drew Tayler (new)
  • Audio commentary with film historian Frank Djeng (new)
  • Audio commentary with director John Woo, producer Terence Chang, filmmaker Roger Avary, and critic Dave Kehr (recorded by the Criterion Collection)

Disc 3 (Bonus Blu-ray)

  • Violent Night – an interview with director John Woo (new)
  • Boiling Over – an interview with actor Anthony Wong (new)
  • No Time for Failure – an interview with producer Terence Chang (new)
  • Hard to Resist – an interview with screenwriter Gordon Chan (new)
  • Boiled to Perfection – an interview with screenwriter Chung Hang Ku (new)
  • Body Count Blues – an interview with composer Michael Gibbs (new)
  • Hong Kong Confidential – inside Hard Boiled with author Grady Hendrix (new)
  • Gun-Fu Fever – an interview with author Leon Hunt (new)
  • Chewing the Fat – an interview with academic Lin Feng (new)
  • Deleted and extended scenes
  • Trailers
  • Image gallery

While you’ll have to wait a few months for these Blu-rays, you can grab some classic action movies starring Jet Li. The Jet Li Collection was released in July, and it offers five of his best movies–Fist of Legend, Tai Chi Master, The Legend 1 + 2, and The Bodyguard from Beijing–in 4K and 1080p. Each movie also comes with a selection of bonus features, and the price has dropped to $107 (was $130). In August, Ringo Lam’s acclaimed 1987 action movie City on Fire joined Shout Factory’s collection on 4K Blu-ray, and you can snag a copy for $29 (was $40).

Looking ahead, Shout Factory will be releasing a lot more movies over the next couple of years, as the film distributor recently secured the worldwide rights to the Golden Princess film library, a collection of 156 movies in total. Here’s a list of a few other movies and box sets in the Hong Kong Cinema Classics collection that you can buy or preorder now:

Now Playing: Borderlands 4 | Official Launch Week Trailer

Borderlands 4 will cost $70 when it launches, which is notable because there was a period of time when Gearbox boss Randy Pitchford claimed he did not know the price, prompting fears that it could be $80. Pitchford stoked the conversation around pricing by saying “real fans” would find a way to come up with $80 if that was the case.

Pitchford is so confident in Borderlands 4’s pricing strategy that he recently said he believes the game would be “worth it” at five times the price of entry.

While the standard edition is priced at $70, 2K and Gearbox are offering multiple more expensive editions of the game, including a $100 deluxe edition, a $130 super deluxe edition, and a $150 collector’s edition. Resident Evil: Release Date, Cast, And Everything Else We Know About The Reboot Movie

by admin September 7, 2025

For most of the last two decades, the Resident Evil movies were defined by the six films directed by Paul W.S. Anderson, with Milla Jovovich in the leading role as Alice. Those movies made over $1 billion worldwide. However, the 2021 reboot, Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, only earned $42 million worldwide.

Barbarian and Weapons director Zach Cregger has been given the reins for a brand-new Resident Evil movie. After co-founding the comedy troupe The Whitest Kids U’ Know and starring in sitcoms, Cregger has emerged as one of the most successful horror directors of this generation. His involvement with this project sparked a bidding war, which was ultimately won by Sony Pictures, the studio that released the previous seven films in the franchise.

Many of the details about Cregger’s Resident Evil movie remain under wraps for now. But GameSpot has put together a guide to everything we know about the Resident Evil reboot so far.

Who is starring in Resident Evil?

Austin Abrams is currently the only (probably) confirmed cast member for the new film. Abrams recently worked with Cregger on Weapons, and he has some experience with zombies from his time on The Walking Dead. He is also known for his role as Ethan Daley in HBO’s Euphoria.

Will established Resident Evil heroes appear in the film?

Cregger has indicated that he isn’t planning to use any of the RE heroes in leading roles.

“I’m telling a story that is a love letter to the games and follows the rules of the games,” explained Cregger. “It is obedient to the lore of the games; it’s just a different story. I’m not going to tell Leon’s story, because Leon’s story is told in the games. [Fans] already have that.”

“[Resident Evil is] an original screenplay,” added Cregger in a separate interview. “It’s a weird story. I wrote it and I love the story. It has nothing to do with any of the other Resident Evil movies. If I do my job, it will feel fresh and edgy and weird.”

Will the tone of Resident Evil follow the example of the previous movies?

According to Cregger, he hasn’t seen any of the Resident Evil movies. Instead of following their example, he intends to recreate the tone of dread from the games.

“I haven’t seen the [earlier Resident Evil] movies, but they don’t seem to promise that feeling [of dread],” said Cregger. “So I wanted to write a story that would just really lean into that. Honor the games–be true to the lore of what’s going on. But I’m not telling any of the stories of the games. It’s a separate story that just happens to exist in that territory.”

“If there are people out there who are rabid fans of the movie franchise, they are probably not really prepared for what I am going to be doing. But I think fans of the games are going to be stoked,” he said.

In an interview with Double Toasted, Cregger said his Resident Evil movie will be “true to the experience” of the video games, and probably “lives in the world” of Resident Evil 2 and 3, but that it adheres more to the tone of Resident Evil 4. The game is not a direct adaptation of any Resident Evil game, however.

Cregger said the video games, too, don’t have a set lore and aren’t rigid with timelines or settings. “I don’t think I am taking any more liberties with this [movie] than the game franchise does. I think I am coloring within the lines,” he said.

“I’ve never seen a movie like it,” he added. “I am beyond excited making this.”

The director added that his sense of tone and his general filmmaking sensibilities honed with Barbarian and Weapons will come through in Resident Evil, albeit on a bigger scale and with a bigger budget.

“It takes place in the world of the games, but most importantly, the journey you’ll have as a viewer watching this movie is going to be similar to the journey you have as a player when you play these games. What that means is it follows one protagonist from point A to point B as they descend deeper and deeper and deeper into hell,” he said. “As someone who has played I don’t know how many thousands and thousands of hours of Resident Evil, I just feel like I know how that pacing can go, and it’s inherently cinematic. I feel like there is a great movie that can live inside this world and inside that sort of pacing. I am really, really pumped about the story that we get to tell here.”

Finally, Cregger confirmed the shooting schedule for Resident Evil, saying cameras are due to begin rolling this October in Prague and continue through the end of January 2026. Why Prague? Cregger cited the city’s generous tax rebates and other factors. “It’s the right place,” he said.

When will the new Resident Evil movie be released?

Resident Evil will hit theaters on September 18, 2026, just a few months after the game franchise celebrates its 30th anniversary.

The Last Of Us Season 3: Release Date, Cast, And Everything We Know About The Hit HBO Series

by admin September 7, 2025

Following the conclusion of The Last of Us Season 2, the show was nominated for 16 Emmy Awards, including Best Drama. The first season took home eight Emmy Awards in 2023, including guest-acting wins for Nick Offerman and Storm Reid.

Bella Ramsey and Pedro Pascal may have gone home empty handed from the show’s first night at the Emmys, but their respective turns as Ellie and Joel have given new life to the franchise that began as a pair of critically acclaimed video games by Sony.

Season 2 began the adaptation of The Last of Us Part 2, which introduced Kaitlyn Dever as Abby and controversially featured Joel’s murder at her hands. That fueled Ellie’s desire for revenge against Abby, which went horribly wrong in the Season 2 finale.

Ahead of the show’s eventual return to HBO, GameSpot has put together this guide to everything you need to know about The Last of Us Season 3.

Will Bella Ramsey return for The Last of Us Season 3?

The cliffhanger ending of The Last of Us Season 2 has some fans worried about the fate of Bella Ramsey’s Ellie, since she was facing the business end of Abby’s gun in the closing moments. Abby had Ellie dead to rights in a scene directly lifted from the game.

The resolution of that scene is in The Last of Us Part 2. Fans who want to spoil the narrative can always jump to the game to see how those events played out. But the short answer is “yes,” Ramsey will reprise her role as Ellie. She just may not be as prominent in Season 3.

Will The Last of Us Season 3 be all about Abby?

As seen in the Season 2 finale, the perspective of the story has shifted and flashed back to Abby’s first day in Seattle. Subsequently, it has been confirmed that Season 3 will be Abby’s story, and viewers will learn more about her just as players did when Abby took over the narrative in The Last of Us Part 2.

Who is joining the cast of The Last of Us Season 3?

For now, there are no new cast members who have been announced.

Is The Last of Us Co-creator Neil Druckmann staying with the show?

No. Neil Druckmann announced his departure from The Last of Us in July, citing a need to resume his duties at developer Naughty Dog to prepare the company’s next game, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. Through the first two seasons, Druckmann was the co-showrunner with Craig Mazin. In Druckmann’s absence, Mazin will be the sole showrunner going forward.

How many episodes will The Last of Us Season 3 have?

Mazin hasn’t confirmed any episode counts yet, but he has stated that Season 3 will be longer than Season 2. The first season of the show had nine episodes, while Season 2 had seven.

When will The Last of Us Season 3 be released?

Although HBO hasn’t formally set a premiere date for The Last of Us Season 3, HBO content chairman Casey Bloys has suggested that the show is “definitely planned for 2027.”

Will The Last of Us end with Season 3?

Since there isn’t a third video game to draw upon and it’s unknown if The Last of Us Part 3 will be made, the story of Ellie and Abby will conclude when the show catches up to the end of The Last of Us Part 2. Previously, showrunner Craig Mazin said that Season 4 was essential to bring the show to a conclusion. However, Bloys has indicated that the show may wrap up its run with Season 3.

“Craig is still working it out whether it will be two more seasons or one more long season. It hasn’t been decided yet, and I’m following Craig’s lead on that,” said Bloys.

ConcernedApe assures that Stardew Valley update 1.7 won’t delay Haunted Chocolatier much – it might even release first

by admin September 7, 2025

Fear not, fans of spirit candy! The recent announcement of Stardew Valley 1.7 update is not evidence that Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone’s next game Haunted Chocolatier has been banished to the realm of vapourware – or so sayeth Barone himself, at least. In a brief and caveat-strewn Q&A, the life sim creator has gone into more depth about development on Stardew, revealing that he’s not as heavily involved with it as with previous updates. As such, he’s still focussing “the vast majority” of his attention on Haunted Chocolatier.

It’s even possible that the latter will release before Stardew Valley’s next update, but let’s not count our Cocoa Loco Little Choc Chicks (£6.99 minus delivery costs) before they’ve hatched.

“Recently, I announced that there will be another major content update for Stardew Valley — the 1.7 update,” writes Barone on his blog. “You might be wondering: If ConcernedApe is working on Stardew Valley 1.7, will that cause Haunted Chocolatier to take longer? The answer: Maybe a little, but not as much as you might think.”

Barone goes onto explain that he’s been working with a small team on Stardew Valley additions and fixes since update 1.3 – he’s still “completely solo” on Haunted Chocolatier “for the time being”.

While he was “fully, personally locked-in on content development” for previous Stardew updates, Barone says that with update 1.7, “I have been trying to take more of a “creative director” role in the team, so that (at least for now) I can focus the vast majority of my attention on Haunted Chocolatier.”

“So far, it’s been pretty good… we are working at a relaxed pace, we have a ton of ideas, and everything has been high quality,” Barone continues. “Eventually, I will have to spend a little more time focused on Stardew Valley, because in order for me to maintain a full connection to the game, I need my hand to touch every piece of new content. And there are some aspects of content development which I insist on doing myself, like the music.

“But with our “no release date” approach to the 1.7 update, it’s not certain when that time will come. It might even be after Haunted Chocolatier comes out. (no guarantees though)”.

Barone adds that “the reality of my life is that I have a very popular 1st game that I still want to take care of, which means that my 2nd game might take a little longer”. Stardew Valley’s audience is “still growing”, he notes, and “it’s hard to just stop improving it when there are still things that can be improved. But I hope the approach I am taking for Stardew Valley 1.7 will help keep Haunted Chocolatier on track.”

Stardewman remains tight-lipped as to what update 1.7 might involve. We don’t know a whole caboodle about Haunted Chocolatier, either, other than that it’s more of an action-RPG than Stardew Valley, and sees you staffing a chocolate shop with ghosts.

Let me laboriously do some Audience Engagement and ask: what kind of chocolate would you be least surprised to discover is made by ghosts? I’ve always found hazelnut truffles a bit sinister. I find that they mysteriously make me fatter – clear indications of paranormal activity.

Darksiders 4: Release Date Info, Story, Trailer, And Everything Else We Know

Darksiders 4 was officially announced in 2025 during a showcase for developer THQ Nordic, and many longtime fans of the franchise are curious about its release date, story, and gameplay. The last time we saw the Darksiders franchise was in 2019 with the release of Darksiders Genesis, a prequel to the original trilogy. This game was met with positive reviews from critics and fans alike, but after radio silence from THQ Nordic for several years, many players thought it could be the last time we’d see the Four Horsemen in action.

Now, with Darksiders 4 confirmed, we finally get to see what THQ Nordic has been cooking up all of this time. We know the Four Horsemen are returning and picking up where they left off at the conclusion of the original Darksiders, but what else do we know about the fourth installment in the franchise? You can check out everything we know about Darksiders 4 in the guide below.

When will Darksiders 4 be released?

While we did get the reveal of Darksiders 4, THQ Nordic still has not given us a release date for the new action-RPG. Right now, the current release date is “to be announced,” and there’s no indication as to when an announcement is expected.

So, as of right now, we’re pretty much in the dark when it comes to a release date for Darksiders 4. It’s unclear how far along in development THQ Nordic is with the game, either, so we don’t have anything to go on at the time of writing.

Preorder Darksiders 4

As we don’t have a concrete release date for Darksiders 4, there’s currently no way to preorder the game on any of its available platforms (PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S). This also means we don’t know how much Darksiders 4 will cost. However, Darksiders has, in recent years, usually been priced under the industry standard for a new AAA game. For example, Darksiders III retailed for $40 at launch, and Darksiders Genesis came in at $30. THQ Nordic could take that same approach with Darksiders 4, which would put it at around $50-60, but it might also be a full-priced, $70 game.

All you can do right now is wishlist the game’s Standard Edition on PC via Steam. This gives you a notification when Darksiders 4 officially goes live for preorders.

Watch the Darksiders 4 teaser

If you want a small glimpse into what THQ Nordic has in store with Darksiders 4, you can watch the official teaser trailer for the action-RPG below.

Naturally, this is only a sneak peek at the game that confirms the return of the Four Horsemen. We’ll have to wait for a proper trailer to see exactly what Darksiders 4 will look like.

Darksiders 4 Platforms

Darksiders is coming to PC via Steam, as well as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It’s currently unknown if THQ Nordic will attempt to port the game to other platforms, such as Nintendo Switch 2, in the future. For now, though, Darksiders 4 will launch for only the current-gen platforms.

Darksiders 4 Story, Setting, And Characters

As we only have a small teaser trailer to go off, we don’t know too much about the story of Darksiders 4. We do know that the game picks up at the conclusion of the original Darksiders, though, so the setting will still be the post-apocalyptic version of Earth that’s remained prevalent throughout the franchise’s life. The developers also said that the setting will take place over different realms within the post-apocalyptic landscape, and each realm has unique bosses, items, and visuals.

During the game, you’ll get to play as one of the Four Horsemen characters, who have become staples of the franchise. Death, Strife, Fury, and War are back in Darksiders 4, and you can choose which one to play as for a playthrough. Each of the Horsemen features different weapons, abilities, and playstyles, giving you more replayability options for second, third, and fourth playthroughs of the main story.

Aside from the Four Horsemen, we’re unsure of any additional characters in Darksiders 4. However, with the story starting from the end of the first game, it’s a safe bet that some characters from the original will make an appearance.

Darksiders 4 Gameplay And Multiplayer

While we await more details and showcases of Darksiders 4, the developers have given us an idea of how the game will play. Just like the other games in the series, the fourth installment is a third-person action-RPG that emphasizes combat, narrative storytelling, and exploration through a lore-rich world.

The combat in Darksiders 4 features up-close melee action and supernatural abilities that each of the characters possesses. These abilities can all likely be used in combat in some fashion, but other abilities could be more useful outside of engagements with enemies. In the case of Strife, we’ll also likely be able to use his guns. Building on the cooperative feature in Genesis, it’s also been confirmed that Darksiders 4 will support up to four people in cooperative play, with each controller one of the Four Horsemen.

THQ Nordic specifies “traversal and puzzle-solving” as key components to the game. Darksiders is no stranger to unique movement and puzzles across the post-apocalypse, but the early marketing seems to suggest those elements will play a larger role in Darksiders 4. Some characters might offer more traversal abilities than others, which could give them an edge while exploring the map, while other characters might have abilities that make them tankier in battle.

We still don’t know a large chunk of how Darksiders 4 will look when it comes to gameplay, but THQ Nordic should be able to build off the foundation from the previous games in the franchise.

Borderlands 4 global release times mean some of you can play a day earlier than expected

by admin September 6, 2025

If you requested time off from work ahead of the new Borderlands launch next Friday, consider a last-minute addendum to the ask. Gearbox has revealed its plans to give Borderlands 4 the global release treatment, so some players will technically venture to Kairos a day early.

It’s a global release time for Steam and Epic Games Store users, so when Borderlands 4 launches on September 12 at 4 am NZST, it’s out for everyone. That’s September 11 at 9 am PT for folks on the other side of the world. There’s no slow rollout across time zones as everyone waits for the clock to strike midnight in their local time.

To save you any further timezone headaches, here’s when Borderlands 4 launches for everyone at the same time globally:

Despite all the time I’ve spent monitoring PC releases, I’m disoriented by the idea every time. So to answer your question: No, it’s not just you that’s confused by the global/midnight differences. Some games roll out by local time, so you’re stuck watching friends from the future play while you longingly stare at Steam.

Keep in mind this doesn’t work the same across all platforms, so if you’re on PC and hoping to play with a console buddy, then you may need to wait. Borderlands 4 supports crossplay, but the PlayStation and Xbox stores don’t share the same update time in some regions.

Either way that’s a week’s wait for more vault hunting, at max. If you need something to do until then, I recommend jumping on the Borderlands 4 Shift code train early and getting your account sorted for a day-one freebie. It’s either that or go play the very small and unheard-of indie game, Silksong. I’m assuming a big ol’ publisher like 2k isn’t worried about Hornet, but I have to wonder how much of my own Steam friends list will make the swap next week.

The Binding of Isaac creator’s Mewgenics finally gets a release date, almost 13 years after it was announced

by admin September 5, 2025

Mewgenics finally has a release date! The endless cat breeding RPG from The Binding of Isaac’s Edmund McMillen will be released on 10th February, 2026 on PC. That’s over 13 years since its original announcement!

Alongside this announcement, McMillen (one half of the Mewgenics team) released a gameplay reveal on his personal YouTube account. It’s a whopping 50-minutes long, and showcases how the much-anticipated indie will actually play. You can check it out yourself down below.

For those unaware, Mewgenics has been on a bizarre development journey. First revealed in 2012 after the smash hit Super Meat Boy, the game was described as the “strangest project” McMillen had ever worked on. However, this version of Mewgenics was shelved and ultimately cancelled, with McMillen focusing on The Legend of Bumbo until 2018 when he acquired the rights for Mewgenics from Team Meat and began development on the game alongside Tyler Glaiel.

Watch on YouTube

So it’s been a wild one. Still, it’s awesome to see Mewgenics nearly at the finish line. McMillen and Glaiel are well-respected for good reason. Here’s to a future full of weird and wonderful cats

This is a news-in-brief story. This is part of our vision to bring you all the big news as part of a daily live report.

Here’s The Street Fighter Release Date, Cast List, And First Plot Details

by admin September 4, 2025

In 1994, Capcom’s Street Fighter franchise hit the big screen with Jean-Claude Van Damme in the lead as Guile. While the team behind that film made the curious choice to emulate G.I. Joe instead of the arcade games it was based upon, the new Street Fighter movie is going back to the source material and taking fans back to the ’90s.

Legendary Entertainment has shared the first details about the Street Fighter reboot, which will be set in 1993. Unlike the previous live-action Street Fighter movies–including Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li–the focus will fall on Ryu (Andrew Koji) and Ken Masters (Noah Centineo), two fighters who have become estranged from each other. However, Chun-Li (Callina Liang) reunites the pair when she recruits them for the World Warrior Tournament. The synopsis also teases the “deadly conspiracy” behind the battle royale, which will almost certainly lead back to the franchise’s primary villain, M. Bison.

As part of the announcement, Legendary revealed that Street Fighter will hit theaters on October 16, 2026. It’s the first film in a three-year distribution deal with Paramount Pictures. But it doesn’t affect Legendary’s Minecraft and Godzilla x Kong sequels, both of which remain with Warner Bros. under the terms of previously signed deals.

Legendary also shared the complete cast for Street Fighter, including two current WWE wrestlers: Cody Rhodes and Joe “Roman Reigns” Anoa’i, who will portray Guile and Akuma, respectively. The rest of the performers are listed below.

  • David Dastmalchian as M. Bison
  • Andrew Schulz as Dan Hibiki
  • Eric André as Don Sauvage
  • Vidyut Jammwal as Dhalsim
  • Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson as Balrog
  • Jason Momoa as Blanka
  • Orville Peck as Vega
  • Olivier Richters as Zangief
  • Hirooki Goto as E. Honda
  • Rayna Vallandingham as Juli
  • Alexander Volkanovski as Joe
  • Kyle Mooney as Marvin
  • Mel Jarnson as Cammy

Kitao Sakurai is directing the film, which is already in production. A gallery of the cast in the style of Street Fighter 2’s selection screen can be found below.
