Get NBA 2K26 Free With The New PS5 Slim Console Bundle

by admin September 7, 2025

A new PS5 Slim bundle with NBA 2K26 is available now at Amazon, Walmart, PlayStation Direct, and other retailers. Priced at $550, the bundle includes the PS5 Slim with a disc drive and a voucher for the digital version of NBA 2K26. If the price sounds high, it’s because PlayStation raised the price of PS5 consoles on August 21. The PS5 Slim on its own now goes for $550, so the bundle throws in 2K’s brand-new basketball sim for free.

Even with the increases in mind, there’s another reason why this could sound pricey: PlayStation’s last couple of console bundles–Astro Bot and Black Ops 6–included a game and a $50 discount. Earlier this year, the Astro Bot and Black Ops 6 PS5 Slim Bundles were selling for only $450. Those two offers were also available with the PS5 Slim Digital for $400.

Last year’s NBA 2K25 PS5 Slim Bundle had the disc-based and digital-only consoles as options, but it appears PlayStation is moving away from that release structure.

$550 | Valued at $620

The PS5 Slim NBA 2K26 Bundle comes with the following:

  • PS5 Slim (with Disc Drive)
  • DualSense Controller (white)
  • Power cable
  • USB-C charging cable
  • HDMI cable
  • NBA 2K26 standard edition (digital)

Note: The Vertical Stand shown in the picture above isn’t included. PlayStation’s official Vertical Stand is sold separately for $30.

Before you buy the NBA 2K26 console bundle, you should check out the upcoming Ghost of Yotei Limited Edition PS5 Slim Bundle. Preorders for two different models opened September 4. PlayStation Direct has an exclusive bundle that includes a white PS5 Slim with black artwork on the console and DualSense. A version with the same artwork in gold is available at PlayStation Direct and major retailers. Both bundles cost $600 and include a digital copy of Ghost of Yotei. The DualSense Controllers are also sold separately for $85 each. Console Covers for PS5 Slim and PS5 Pro are up for grabs for $65 exclusively at PS Direct. Check out the artwork below:

Ghost of Yotei Limited Edition PS5 Hardware

PlayStation Direct Exclusives:

Available at PS Direct & Major Retailers:

  • PS5 Slim Gold Bundle — $600
  • DualSense Gold Controller — $85

The Ghost of Yotei Limited Edition Collection launches October 2 alongside the game. Check out our preorder guide to learn more about the hardware and editions of the game.

If you opt for the Ghost of Yotei Limited Edition Bundle but still want a copy of NBA 2K26, check out your options below. NBA 2K26 released September 5 alongside the new bundle.

More action than RPG, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 struggles to convince after a few hours' play

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 to refund all PS5 Premium Editions following backlash over paywalled clans

by admin September 6, 2025

From next week, anyone who pre-ordered their Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 Premium Edition via the PlayStation Store will be refunded.

Community developer DebbieElla told players the refunds were coming as part of recent “adjustments”, and confirmed we’ll get “all the details” on the changes on 17th September.

We weren’t allowed to direct capture the preview build but we were supplied some b-roll to fit a video together with instead.Watch on YouTube

As we reported last week, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 publisher Paradox is rethinking its plan to charge for two of the six playable clans in the game following community feedback. The news came after publisher Paradox announced the release date for Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, 21st October, along with pricing details for the game. It was then we learned the company intended to charge £20 extra to access two clans in the game, via a Shadows and Silk content pack.

According to developer, The Chinese Room, these two clans represented content developed beyond what was originally planned for the game after it inherited development of Bloodlines 2 from Hardsuit Labs. Consequently, The Chinese Room’s reasoning was this was additional content developed for the game, so it would sell it as such at release. But not anymore.

Now, in a Discord post, DebbieElla writes: “We are working hard on the adjustments that we promised, and we will be able to tell you all the details on 17th September. Making significant changes like this involves many moving parts, and we want to make sure that we get it right with this change.

“Anyone who pre-ordered the Premium Edition through the PlayStation Store will be contacted and refunded starting Monday 8th September. You’ll be able to pre-order your Premium Edition copy later again, before the release on 21st October. Please note that this is an intentional first step in our planned course of action leading up to 17th September to deliver the best possible experience for you at launch.”

The post closed on thanking players for their patience, and later messages from DebbieElla confirm this only applies to this particular edition sold for PlayStation – purchases on other platforms are unaffected.

Some are now hoping this signifies all clans may be available in the base game, but as one player points out, however, “taking the clans out of the deluxe editions is the easy part. The hard part is trying to figure out what else they can put in there”.

In his Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 preview a few weeks back, Bertie wrote: “[T]his is a sequel to a cult RPG after all, and one based on a major tabletop RPG to boot. In this case it feels valid to crave a little more role-playing, a little more texture and depth to the game’s people and conversations. And so for now, a question mark remains”.

Astro Bot PS5 Controller Returns October, Pre-Order Go Live Soon

by admin September 2, 2025

Last year, Sony released a new PS5 Dualsense controller themed around the then-upcoming platformer Astro Bot. The game was a huge hit with critics and fans, as was the controller, which sold out quickly and became hard to find. But now, a slightly tweaked version of the popular gamepad is returning in October with pre-orders later this month.

On September 2, after some teasing in July, PlayStation revealed that the new “Joyful” version of the Astro Bot PS5 controller was officially launching just before Halloween, on October 30. And gamers who missed out on buying an Astro Bot controller last year will have a chance to pre-order the new version on September 12 at 10 a.m. local time via PlayStation’s own online store and “participating retailers.”

Astro Bot returns with a new delightful twist!

This isn’t the same controller that was sold back in 2024 and quickly gobbled up and scalped on eBay for more than twice the price. Well, it’s mostly the same controller. The only real difference is the touchpad. On the OG Astro Bot gamepad, the eyes were open and always watching you play. This time around, the eyes are slightly closed, simulating joy and happiness. It’s a bit less creepy, which is nice.

No price was shared for this new version of the controller, but last time PlayStation sold the Astro Bot Dualsense controller, it was priced at $80. Still, the new Astro Bot pad might cost a bit more. The boring and ugly Last-of-Us-themed Dualsense controller from Sony cost $85 earlier this year.

Whatever it costs, you can expect it to go for much more when resellers inevitably grab up a ton of them and sell them on eBay. Heck, the original Astro Bot Dualsense controller still goes for $110 to $160 sealed on the internet’s ancient auction house. So if you really want a joyful Astro Bot-themed Dualsense controller and you don’t want to pay $200 or whatever, I’d be hanging out at your computer on September 12, ready to pre-order the moment they go live. Good luck with that!

Capcom’s president says high price of PS5 has contributed to low sales of Monster Hunter Wilds

by admin September 2, 2025

Capcom president Haruhiro Tsujimoto has attributed the high price of the PlayStation 5 as a reason for low sales of Monster Hunter Wilds.

During an interview with Nikkei Gaming (translated by ResetEra), Tsujimoto discussed the immediate success of the title, which sold eight million copies in three days making it the fastest-selling title in Capcom’s history.

However, in its most recent financial results Capcom described sales of Monster Hunter Wilds as “soft” having moved 477,000 units in Q1 2025, bringing its total sales to 10.6 million units.

Tsujimoto attributed this drop to the high price of the PlayStation 5 and subscriptions, along with the $70 game price tag, as a barrier for most consumers.

“The console costs about ¥80,000 ($538),” he noted. “When you factor in the cost of software and monthly subscriptions, it comes to about ¥100,000 ($672) at the time of purchase.

“This is not an amount that can be easily reached, especially for younger generations. This situation is not limited to Japan, but is similar overseas as well.”

Capcom’s president said it is “currently formulating a strategy” to “boost sales” of Monster Hunter Wilds throughout the rest of the year.

Elsewhere in the interview, Tsujimoto also highlighted the success of the Switch 2 and its price tag ¥48,980 ($329). “The response was better than we had expected,” he said.

“While prices vary by country, this reaffirmed the high level of cost-consciousness among ordinary consumers.”

Playing Gears of War On My PS5 Is So Weird

by admin August 27, 2025

Earlier this month, Xbox sent me a code for Gears of War: Reloaded on the PlayStation 5. That’s a weird sentence to write. But it’s true. And despite knowing this port was coming and previously writing about it as well as the end of the console wars on Kotaku, I still have to admit:  It was really bizarre to nail an active reload on a PlayStation gamepad.

Out today on Game Pass, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation, and PC, Gears of War: Reloaded is a remastered version of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, which is itself a remastered spin on the original Xbox 360 Gears of War game, complete with improved textures and extra content that was exclusive to the barely-talked-about PC port of the first game. Wowza, what a lineage! Anyway, this latest remastering of the original Gears game that started it all sports some new improvements, including 4K/120FPS support for multiplayer, improved shadows, and full crossplay and cross-progression across all platforms. And it looks great, even if I encountered a few quirks in my playthrough. But no matter how much better it might look, Gears of War on a PlayStation console is still strange to this grizzled Gears vet.

Loading up Gears of War: Reloaded on my PS5 was strange enough to begin with, but then I hopped into the game and linked my Xbox account and saw that my Xbox profile picture appeared in the menu instead of my PlayStation profile pic. Odd! Then I started playing, and Gears of War prompted me to hit triangle to look at something instead of the Y button. Peculiar! And once I got into a firefight, I was told to smash the R1 button to begin a reload and then hit it again at the right time to reload my Lancer assault rifle faster. I did as told, but I think I made a weird face while doing it. Even Sony acknowledged how odd this all is via a tweet of Marcus reloading with the comment:  “Press R1 to Active Reload.”

— PlayStation (@PlayStation) August 26, 2025

When I unlocked my first trophy in Gears of War on PlayStation 5, something really bizarre happened: My phone buzzed to let me know that I had also just earned an Xbox achievement. I’ve not played any other Xbox games on PlayStation yet, so I’m not sure if this is just normal or whatever, but it caught me off guard. Earning Xbox achievements on a PlayStation? We truly live in the weirdest timeline.

As someone who has exclusively played through the entire Gears of War franchise and racked up many hours chainsawing people in multiplayer on Xbox consoles, it never stopped being eerie and uncanny to be playing the original game again, but this time on Sony’s home console. I thought that before the credits rolled on Gears of War: Reloaded, I’d have forgotten I was even playing on a PS5. Nope. It was weird from start to finish. But not in a bad way! I’m not mad Gears is on PS5 in 2025. I just think it’s going to take a few more weeks or months, or longer, for me to get used to it.

Romancing SaGa 2 Gets Major Price Cut For PS5 And Switch

by admin August 27, 2025

Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven is on sale for only $30 for Nintendo Switch and PS5 at Amazon this week. Though not technically part of Amazon’s Labor Day Sale, the retailer is matching deals offered in competitor promotions, and the fully rebuilt remake of this Square Enix classic is one of them.

Nintendo Switch 2 owners can buy the Switch physical edition for $30 and purchase the official upgrade from the eShop for $10. The Switch 2 edition is $50 on the eShop, so you’re still saving 10 bucks overall with the physical edition.

Romancing SaGa 2 Remake Deals — $30 ($50)

$30 (was $50)

The impressive remake of the Super Famicom JRPG released last October. In a year filled with great JRPGs, Romancing SaGa 2 flew a bit under the radar, but Square Enix’s lovingly crafted turn-based RPG is a unique experience that’s well-worth the roughly 40-60 hours it takes to complete the mainline campaign.

Romancing SaGa 2 is a ground-up remake of the 1993 Super Famicom classic. An HD remaster of the original launched in 2017, but the remake introduces full 3D graphics and overhauls the turn-based battle system to match the new “timeline” system featured in recent titles like SaGa Emerald Beyond. There are also a few quality of life updates to make the game more approachable for new players, including multiple difficulty options.

You play as members of a royal family who need to fight to maintain control of their empire and curb world-ending threats. In addition to a deep and nuanced battle system, Romancing SaGa 2 also boasts an entire castle building mechanics where you construct and manage fortresses around your kingdom. Like other games in the series, where you go, who you talk to, and which side quests you complete can have drastic changes on how the story unfolds. It’s a surprisingly open-ended experience, even by modern standards, and the lovely remake is the perfect opportunity to give it a go, or revisit it and try for an entirely different story path.

The remake earned an 8/10 in our Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven review.

$30 (was $50)

If you have a PS5 and Nintendo Switch 1/2, the PS5 version looks and runs better, but Revenge of the Seven is a solid experience on Nintendo handhelds. On original Switch, it runs at a fairly stable 30fps with 720p resolution in handheld mode and 1080p when docked. Load times can feel a bit long in some instances, and you may experience some brief frame rate dips.

As mentioned, Square Enix released a dedicated Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game at the end of July. Priced the same as the original, the Switch 2 edition is only available on the eShop. That said, those who own a physical copy for Switch can purchase the Switch 2 Upgrade Pack for $10.

The Switch 2 edition is markedly better from a visual and performance perspective. It maxes out at 1440p resolution and 60fps when playing in docked mode. In handheld mode, you can play in 1080p resolution. Along with visual improvements, Switch 2 users get faster load times.

The Switch and Switch 2 versions aren’t the only options for playing on a portable device. Romancing SaGa 2 is also Steam Deck-verified. You can save 15% on a Steam key with promo code AUG15 at Green Man Gaming.

$45 | Releases December 9

SaGa fans can also preorder the upcoming physical edition of Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song Remastered International for PS5 and Nintendo Switch. This superb remaster originally released in 2022 on PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, PC, and mobile.

Like Romancing SaGa 2, the boxed version of Minstrel Song Remastered is only available on PS5 and Nintendo Switch. Square Enix partnered with publisher Red Art Games to bring the new physical edition to stores.

Romancing SaGa Remastered International is slated to launch December 9. If you’re interested in adding a copy to your RPG collection, it’d probably be wise to preorder this one, as it’s likely to have a small print run.

Preorders for the Nintendo Switch and PS5 physical editions are available for $45 at Amazon, Walmart, and Best Buy.

More JRPG Deals at Amazon

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

If you’re looking for more deals on role-playing games, major retailers are offering nice discounts on a variety of other hits and recent releases. Multiple other notable Square Enix releases are on sale, including Final Fantasy I-VI Collection Anniversary Edition for $30 off, the reprint of Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade for PS5 for $30, and the Amazon-exclusive version of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth for $40.

Another Square Enix JRPG that didn’t receive as much attention as it deserved is Fantasian Neo Dimension. First released back in 2021 as an Apple Arcade game, Fantasian is a turn-based RPG from Mistwalker, the independent studio founded by original Final Fantasy director Hironobu Sakaguchi. The enhanced console and PC version launched last December for $50; Amazon’s $20 discount is the best yet for Fantasian Neo Dimension.

Nintendo Switch Game Deals

PS5 + PS4 Game Deals

The SaGa Franchise

Square Enix has been slowly revitalizing the SaGa series over the past few years with remasters, remakes, and brand-new entries in the series, including SaGa Emerald Beyond, the latest new entry in the series. Steam keys for SaGa Emerald Beyond and a bunch of other games in the series are available at Green Man Gaming. With promo code AUG15, you can save 15% on any of the games listed below.

Save 15% with promo code AUG15

While the series started as a Final Fantasy spin-off called Final Fantasy Legend, the SaGa series quickly evolved into its own unique franchise. Unlike many other JRPGs of the 90s, the SaGa games are notable for offering non-linear storylines and complex character building systems that were more akin to 90s computer RPGs.

One Year After Concord, What Has Sony Learned From The PS5 Flop?

by admin August 26, 2025

What has Sony learned from its biggest gaming blunder one year later? Why is Ubisoft’s CEO headed to court five years after a sexual harassment scandal rocked the company? And how many more copies will Hollow Knight sell as everyone rushes to play it ahead of Silksong‘s launch next month? Welcome back to Morning Checkpoint, Kotaku‘s daily roundup of gaming news and culture. Take cover. The end-of-year game release onslaught is about to begin.

Sony is taking steps to avoid another Concord

How did Sony slow-walk its way into a live service debacle that cost it over $200 million? A year after Concord launched, PlayStation Studios head Hermen Hulst explained what the company is doing to avoid releasing another expensive game that no one wants to play.  “I don’t want teams to always play it safe, but I would like for us, when we fail, to fail early and cheaply,” he told the Financial Times. He promised more info sharing between studios and executives and said, “We have since put in place much more rigorous and more frequent testing in very many different ways. The advantage of every failure is that people now understand how necessary that [testing] is.”

What about Sony’s live-service plans moving forward? Hulst didn’t say the company is backing off its online multiplayer push, but he did hand-wave away prior commitments to launch nearly a dozen live-service projects by 2026. “The number is not so important,” he said. “What is important to me is having a diverse set of player experiences and a set of communities.” FairGame$, expected to be the next multiplayer game in Sony’s pipeline, recently lost its studio head after a bad internal review.

Ubisoft’s CEO has been summoned to appear in court

The French publisher faces a fresh lawsuit from the same victims who recently testified against former senior members of the company over sexual harassment allegations, including ex-chief creative officer Serge Hascoët. “This new case is being brought by the same plaintiffs, a union and four people, and is based on the same facts at those for which three former employees were tried and convicted this past June, following an investigation by the public prosecutor’s office,” Ubisoft executive vice president Cécile Russeil wrote in an email to staff on August 22.

CEO Yves Guillemot was subpoenaed to testify on October 1, though it’s unclear if the new litigation will be able to compel any new information to surface about the company’s workplace culture reckoning five years ago. “Ubisoft will continue to cooperate with the justice system in this matter, as it has done over the past five years in the review of the facts related to this case,” Russeil told VGC in a statement. Guillemot’s son was recently made co-CEO of a new business group within Ubisoft that oversees its most profitable franchises, including Assassin’s Creed and Far Cry.

— Assassin’s Creed (@assassinscreed) August 23, 2025

The 2023 game has new content coming on the horizon. It takes place in AlUla, Saudi Arabia. The new story update will arrive before the end of 2025 and comes after a report that Ubisoft received funding from the Saudi government-backed Public Investment Fund, which has recently been flooding the games industry with cash.

Switch 2 games with only game key cards won’t be eligible for preservation in Japan’s National Diet Library

The archival body will only take “physical media that contains the content itself,” according to a new report from Famitsu, translated by Automaton. “Since a key card, on its own, does not qualify as content, it falls outside of our scope for collection and preservation,” a representative of the library said. While all first-party Nintendo games are contained on the physical Switch 2 carts, most third-party releases have opted for the game key card solution, meaning most will no longer be accessible if and when the servers eventually shut down sometime in the future.

Hideo Kojima wrote a concept for Death Stranding 3 but doesn’t want to make it

The longtime director told PlayStation Arabia that Death Stranding 2 was his finale for the series, but that he has already scripted what a sequel might be about. “So I have that in data,” he said, according to a translation by Genki. “I hope that someone will create it for me.”

Peak is finally Steam Deck verified

The summer Steam hit, which has already sold over 10 million copies, received a new update that fixes some bugs and gets the game working on Valve’s handheld. Unfortunately for speedrunners, however, a major game-breaking trick no longer works. “Made fog walls taller so you can’t shoot over them to win the game in a minute with the Scout Cannon exploit,” read the patch notes.

Hollow Knight is skyrocketing up the Steam charts

Silksong is out in less than two weeks, and everyone who never finished Hollow Knight is busy catching up. The game currently has over 35,000 concurrent players on Steam, nearly double its April 2022 peak. Not bad for an eight-year-old game that’s already sold over 15 million copies. If the sequel sells another 15 million, it will officially be a bigger franchise than Metroid.

Metal Gear Soilid 3 Remake Struggles To Hit 60FPS On PS5

by admin August 25, 2025

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater overhauls the storied PS2 game with modern visuals. It plays great on PC but the console experience prior to launch is surprisingly bad. The Konami remake can’t hit a consistent 60fps on PlayStation 5 even in performance mode, and the PS5 Pro enhanced mode is especially disappointing. It might not be enough to ruin the experience but it raises concerns and has some wondering if Konami will be able to meaningfully optimize the console version with subsequent updates.

Out August 26 for those who buy the Deluxe Edition, Metal Gear Solid Delta doesn’t really have a 60fps mode on PS5. Instead, it has a max target of 60fps, but spends much of the time dipping far below that. A Digital Foundry analysis shows it consistently falling to around 45fps in denser jungle areas, or even lower when swimming underwater. Things are even worse on PS5 Pro, where the Metal Gear Solid 3 remake dispenses with having alternate graphics modes and simply smooshes everything into a single performance boost. But in order to hit higher framerates it uses a lower, sub-1080p image resolution resolution to upscale. The results are pretty grimy.

MAJOR WARNING If you’re planning on playing Metal Gear Solid Delta:

The game runs terribly, with PS5/XSX rendering 720p-1080p at 30-50FPS in Performance mode

The PS5 Pro somehow runs worse & looks blurrier despite using PSSR

Another disastrous Unreal Engine 5 release. pic.twitter.com/Lnha48T2C6

— Synth Potato🥔 (@SynthPotato) August 22, 2025

Digital Foundry notes that quality mode on PS5 gets players better draw distances for textures and shadows, and improved global illumination for better complex lighting effects, which the jungle-based environment is full of. Unfortunately, despite hitting 30fps most of the time, the quality mode still occasionally buckles below that when blowing up barrels or during the busiest onscreen action sequences. Performance mode is even more inconsistent in terms of framerate, hitting 60fps fine in the starting area but sinking well below that at moments in larger environments. Overall it seems like nothing is quite as smooth as you’d hope or expect for what is essentially an Unreal Engine 5 makeover of an otherwise mostly unchanged PS2 game.

Metal Gear Solid 3 remake’s PS5 Pro mode is far from perfect

Then there’s the PS5 Pro’s mode which has its own issues. Namely, it’s upscaling from a lower resolution to hit a higher consistent 60fps, leading to even worse visual quality in the distance than on the base PS5’s performance mode. “It’s a win in motion for PS5 Pro with a smarter handling of occlusion artifacts and swaying grass,” Digital Foundry reports. “But if left to settle, the resolved reconstructed image on PS5 Pro seems to struggle to match the clarity of base PS5.” The enhanced mode gets even worse when you account for the PSSR-induced flickering and shimmering effects that PS5 Pro players may remember from Silent Hill 2 remake.

There’s still time to address many of these apparent problems, especially the base PS5 shortcomings, in a day-one patch, though time is running out with the game’s early access launch less than 24 hours away. As for the PS5 Pro experience, well we’ll have to wait and see how that gets addressed in the future. None of the issues surfaced so far seem like deal breakers, but it does suggest anyone who has the option to play Metal Gear Solid Delta on a high-end PC instead should begin there.

An exact release date hasn’t been set, but Clair Obscur: Expedition 33’s Mirror Edition is available to preorder now for $60 on PS5 and Xbox Series X. The Mirror Edition includes a physical copy of the hit RPG, an exclusive steelbook case, three collectible trading cards, and a tuckbox.

We feel it’s obligatory to mention Little Nightmares 3 also has an Amazon-exclusive Mirror Edition that you can preorder now.

Clair Obscur’s Mirror Edition isn’t the only upcoming retailer-exclusive edition you can preorder. GameStop’s Lumiere Edition for PS5 will be rereleased on October 31. Exclusive to PS5, the Lumiere Edition costs $70 and includes a steelbook case, 48-page art book, and the Digital Deluxe Edition DLC outfits.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 – Mirror Edition

Sandfall Interactive’s debut game turned out to be a much bigger hit than anyone could have expected. In fact, it currently holds a 93 on Metacritic, which includes GameSpot’s 9/10 review, making it the best-reviewed original game of 2025. Technically, it’s behind the Switch 2 versions of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, but those don’t really count.

Physical copies of Clair Obscur for PS5 and Xbox Series X sold out on launch day (April 24). Publisher Kepler Interactive struggled to keep up with demand, as the game remained sold out through May and into June. Stock for the $50 standard edition at Amazon finally seems to have stabilized for both consoles, but the game remains sold out at multiple retailers. We wouldn’t be surprised to see Amazon’s Mirror Edition sell out before launch.

Check out all four Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 physical editions below.

$60 | Amazon Exclusive

The Mirror Edition is only 10 bucks more than the standard edition–and 10 bucks less than GameStop’s Lumiere Edition. And unlike the Lumiere, the Amazon-exclusive Mirror Edition is available for both PS5 and Xbox Series X. Here’s what you’ll find inside the box:

  • Physical copy of base game
  • Exclusive Steelbook with Verso and Alicia character art
  • Mirror Edition Tuckbox
  • 3 collectable trading cards

There are 10 trading cards in all, so you’d need to buy at least four Mirror Editions–and likely more–to get all of the cards. Seems excessive, but you could buy the Mirror Edition for your friends as gifts this holiday season. Before you wrap the presents, make sure to remove the cards from the boxes.

$50 | In stock on August 22

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33’s physical edition sold out for PS5 and Xbox Series X shortly after the game launched on April 24. The $50 standard edition remained difficult to find for months on PS5 and Xbox Series X, but Amazon has copies for both platforms as of August 22.

$70 | Reprint Preorder | Releases October 31

The GameStop-exclusive Lumiere Edition is only available for PS5 in the US. The upcoming reprint is slated to arrive October 31.

Like Amazon’s edition, this comes with an exclusive steelbook case. PlayStation 5 users need to decide if you’d prefer a mini art book plus in-game cosmetics or three illustrated trading cards plus an extra $10 in your pocket.

Here’s a look at everything included in the Lumiere Edition:

  • Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 physical edition
  • Collectible Steelbook Case featuring Maelle, Gustave, and the Paintress
  • The Expeditioner’s Journal – 48-page hardcover art book
  • Digital Deluxe Upgrade Pack (in-game DLC)
    • The Flowers Collection – Six Flowers of Lumiere outfits and hairstyles / Six Gommage outfit variations
    • Custom “Clair” outfit for Maelle
    • Custom “Obscur” outfit for Gustave

$150 | Sold Out

SOLD OUT

Unlike the Limited Edition, the Collector’s Edition appears to be gone for good. The Collector’s Edition was also exclusive to PS5 and only at GameStop. Along with all of the bonus DLC from the Lumiere and Digital Deluxe Editions, here’s what’s included in the box:

  • Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 base game
  • An 8-inch hand-painted Monolith music box
  • A collectible Steelbook case featuring unique cover art
  • The Expeditioner’s Journal 48-page hardcover artbook
  • The “Flowers” Collection DLC with unique cosmetic items
  • A “Clair” custom outfit for Maelle
  • An “Obscur” custom outfit for Gustave
