From earbuds and laptops to tablets, the early deals are already starting to trickle in. Prices might drop even further during Amazon’s four-day sales event, sure, but gadgets like the latest AirPods and iPad Air are already matching their all-time low, giving you a solid chance to save before the four-day shopping event officially kicks off on July 8th. Metroid Prime 4 advert reportedly spotted in London, sparking hopes of imminent release

Metroid Prime 4 advert reportedly spotted in London, sparking hopes of imminent release

by admin June 20, 2025

An advert for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond has reportedly been photographed on the London Underground, stating the game is “out now”.

Officially, the game is only due for release at some point this year, so the discovery of this advert has sparked hope a release is imminent.

The images, reportedly taken at Oxford Circus, have not been verified. Eurogamer has contacted Nintendo for confirmation of Metroid Prime 4’s release date.

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond – Nintendo Direct 3.27.2025Watch on YouTube

Still, the reddit post does include multiple images from different angles, so it certainly appears real. So what’s going on?

At the very least, Metroid Prime 4 is certainly not “out now”. It’s not available to purchase on the eShop, and it seems unlikely Nintendo would shadow drop it.

Instead, this is likely a mistake: either the advertising company has mistakenly put the advert up too early, or a “coming soon” sign of some sort is meant to cover the “out now” part for removal later. Either way, we’re awaiting official clarification from Nintendo.

As the advert is specifically for the Switch 2 Edition, it includes: support for mouse controls, up to 4K resolution in docked TV mode, frame rates up to 120fps, and HDR support.

The game is also set for release on the original Switch, presumably at the same time.

After years of waiting, the hugely anticipated sci-fi adventure received a first gameplay trailer in June last year. A deeper look at the game was provided during the March Nintendo Direct, where Samus’ psychic powers were revealed.

I was able to play Metroid Prime 4 at the Nintendo Switch 2 preview event in London and tested out its variety of control options. Mouse controls certainly work well enough, but I’m not convinced it’ll be the most comfortable way to play on your sofa.

Crypto Prime Brokerage FalconX in Early Talks for IPO in 2025: Sources

by admin June 18, 2025

In brief

  • FalconX is exploring going public amid a crypto IPO boom.
  • The firm has spoken to investment banking experts and other professionals about the public listing process.
  • Industry experts expect stablecoin issuer Circle’s blockbuster $1.1 billion IPO will fuel the crypto industry’s recent public-listing craze.

FalconX has held early-stage talks to issue an initial public offering and could file to go public as soon as this year, three sources close to the matter told Decrypt—a move that would boost the firm’s bid to meet growing institutional demand for digital assets.

The cryptocurrency prime brokerage firm has held informal discussions with bankers and consultants to explore the IPO process, those sources said. FalconX is considering tapping public markets as it ramps up its pursuit of strategic partnerships and acquisitions, with the aim of meeting institutional investors’ growing appetite for cryptocurrencies.

The firm has not yet hired an investment bank—the first official step toward a public listing.

FalconX last received an $8 billion valuation in a $150 million funding round in 2022.

The firm declined to comment on whether it has explored issuing an IPO.

As part of its discussions, FalconX has also explored ways to raise its public profile, two sources told Decrypt. It’s a move that could aid FalconX’s bid to shore up fresh capital for its growing firm, which has recently ramped up its dealmaking.

“When you launch an IPO, you need to have a story,” one individual familiar with the matter told Decrypt.“You’re selling yourself to the investing public.”

FalconX’s discussions come amid an IPO boom across the cryptocurrency industry.

An unprecedented number of digital asset companies, including Bitcoin financial services firm Fold, crypto software wallet Exodus, and trading platform eToro, have gone public in 2025. Among them is stablecoin issuer Circle, whose roughly $1.1 billion public listing on June 5 formed the largest crypto IPO in recent history, fueling industry experts’ expectations that more digital assets companies will soon jump into the fray.

Over the past few weeks, several crypto companies have signaled they will soon attempt to tap public markets. Shortly after Circle’s blockbuster IPO, centralized cryptocurrency exchanges Bullish and Gemini filed for IPOs. Meanwhile, digital assets trading platform Kraken and Chinese billionaire Justin Sun’s Tron Group plan to file with U.S. federal regulators to go public as well, according to recent reports from Bloomberg and The Financial Times.

Financial services provider for crypto

Founded in 2018, FalconX debuted as a crypto-focused prime brokerage, providing access to markets for clients to trade directly on exchanges. Since then, it has matured into a full-fledged trading firm and digital assets services provider.

FalconX aims to be “a financial services provider for the next generation of crypto,” FalconX co-head of markets Joshua Lim told Decrypt, declining to comment on whether FalconX has been exploring raising fresh funds.

The firm has three verticals—a markets business, a custody and staking business, and a prime brokerage direct-market-access business. It operates similarly to a principal trading business or a dealer, committing capital for its clients.

Over the past year, FalconX has ramped up its dealmaking to support its widening mandate across its business verticals. The deals position the firm to serve a wider range of clients at a time that investors’ interest in crypto is booming.

In early 2025, FalconX unveiled it had acquired crypto derivatives-focused trading firm Arbelos Markets as part of its foray into the highly profitable global derivatives market.

Several months later, FalconX formed a strategic partnership to integrate international banking group Standard Chartered’s banking infrastructure and foreign exchange capabilities into its businesses, bolstering its institutional services. And in late May, the firm unveiled its deal with Cantor Fitzgerald to draw on a significant credit facility collateralized by Bitcoin—the “first step in a broader credit framework” that could allow FalconX to serve more traditional institutional investors, according to a LinkedIn post from FalconX CEO Raghu Yarlagadda.

“There are a lot of potential partnership or acquisition targets that provide a service in between our established business verticals—services that a customer might otherwise have to piece together from outside our firm,” Joshua Lim said. “We want to strategically partner or buy companies that can fill those gaps.”

Amazon Clearing Out Smart TVs, This 42″ Full HD Model Sold for Peanuts Before Prime Day

by admin June 17, 2025

While OLED TVs are their own attraction, none of them will be under $1,000 and they’re not necessarily the most convenient for all parts of the house. For the majority of consumers, a smart TV like this Insignia 42-inch Fire TV is the perfect blend of quality and price (especially at the price tag it’s carrying).

Currently, this Insignia TV is available for only $119, having originally been priced at $179. That’s an fantastic 33% discount and one of the cheapest means of improving home entertainment. Whether you’re looking for a TV for a bedroom, a kids’ room or a secondary living area, this model delivers a lot for very little money.

Amazon Fire TV

The Insignia Fire TV boasts a clear 1080p resolution so your must-see movies and games appear crisp and vivid. Though it’s not a 4K screen, the Full HD image quality is more than adequate for most viewing experiences, particularly at this screen size and budget. The anti-glare screen reduces reflections so it’s less of a problem to view in well-lit rooms or during the day.

One of the greatest benefits of this TV is the seamless way that it connects to Amazon’s Fire TV platform: Since the Fire TV experience is natively built in, you can enjoy over a million streaming movies and TV shows as well as tens of thousands of channels, and apps. The included Alexa Voice Remote lets you control your entertainment, and more—hands-free with your voice.

For Apple users, the Insignia Fire TV is AirPlay enabled which means you can easily share your videos, photos, music and more from your iPhone, iPad, or Mac with your TV using a single tap. Audio connectivity is also one area where this TV excels: It is HDMI ARC compatible which routes audio directly from the HDMI port to an AV receiver or compatible soundbar without using an additional cable.

The current sale price of $119 is an all-time low, and it’s a deal that’s hard to pass up.

Amazon Prime Day 2025 stretches to four days of deals

by admin June 17, 2025

Amazon has announced the dates when its annual Prime Day deal extravaganza will kick off, and it’s happening for much longer than usual. It starts Tuesday, July 8th, at 3AM Eastern and lasts through Friday, July 11th, at the same time. And, instead of being a two-day event that’s exclusive to Prime subscribers, it’s happening for four days in 2025. We will, of course, be reporting for deal duty for the duration, supplying only on the discounts that matter to Verge readers.

Four days is a very long time, and we currently don’t know if Amazon plans to blast out the majority of good deals on day one, or divvy them out evenly across the event’s duration. At least, it will attempt to organize the deals with a new “Today’s Big Deals” feature for subscribers, which recaps the biggest deals across various categories.

We expect to first see deals arrive on Amazon’s own suite of devices, including Echo smart speakers, smart displays, and other smart home gear. This includes its Kindle lineup, as well as its Fire TV streamers and TVs that run its entertainment-focused OS. Amazon teased some of its early deals beginning soon, which include its lowest price yet on the Blink Mini 2 two-pack as well as the Ring Battery Doorbell bundled with the Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Plus. It also plans to offer the eero 6 Plus mesh Wi-Fi router system, the Fire HD 8 Plus tablet, and more products at up to half off.

Once Prime Day begins, deals will expand to include other popular manufacturers that Verge readers care about. Every company under the sun typically takes part in Prime Day on both big-ticket gadgets and affordable tech. We’ll be covering the best deals on TVs, laptops, headphones, tablets, video games, PC accessories and components, and so much more.

To reiterate, Prime Day deals are only for Prime subscribers, so you’ll need a subscription to participate (even if it’s a trial). For those who are between the ages of 18 and 24, you can get a six-month subscription for free, with it renewing after that period at $7.49 per month (half the normal cost of Prime).

If you’re unsure as to whether you’ll have time to peruse all of the deals with us, you can opt to get a tidy email digest of only the top deals, both on a regular basis and during Prime Day, by subscribing to our Verge Deals newsletter below.

Amazon Prime Day 2025 Is A Four-Day Sales Event For The First Time

Amazon Prime Day 2025 Is A Four-Day Sales Event For The First Time

by admin June 17, 2025

Amazon has revealed the dates for this year’s Prime Day sales event. The 2025 iteration of the massive sale for Prime members kicks off July 8 and runs through July 11. The four-day window makes it the longest Prime Day sale yet. As the name suggests, Prime Day debuted as a 24-hour flash sale in 2015 before moving to a two-day structure in 2019. And now the sales event has doubled in size once again for Amazon Prime Day 2025.

Amazon Prime Day 2025 Start/End Times

Amazon Prime Day 2025 officially begins on Tuesday, July 8, at 12 AM PT / 3 AM ET. The sales event will run for a full 96 hours, ending on July 12 at 12 AM PT / 3 AM ET.

That said, Amazon offers early Prime Day deals in the lead-up to Prime Day every year. And depending on sale plans from other retailers, Prime Day-esque deals will likely be available on Monday, July 7, or even the weekend prior to the event. Amazon has a tendency to match competitors in the gaming, tech, and entertainment spaces.

Prime Day 2025 Deals: What to Expect

Amazon Prime Day 2025

So, Prime Day 2025 is twice as long, does that mean twice as many deals? Probably not, no. It’s more likely that the lengthened window just gives customers more time to shop. It also formalizes what has, in practice, been true for years at this point: Amazon Prime Day was already a week-long sales event.

Not officially, but with the plethora of early deals and so-called “anti-Prime Day” sales from competing retailers like Walmart, Target, and Best Buy, the annual summer sale has become Black Friday in July over the past few years.

Amazon has already started offering some early deals for Prime members. Official early Prime Day deals, just like deals during the event, are exclusive to Amazon Prime members. Amazon Prime costs $15/month or $139 per year. New subscribers can get a 30-day trial that can be canceled at any time. Young adults (ages 18-24) and students can subscribe for $7.49/month, and if you’re new to Prime, the no-cost trial is extended to six months.

Prime Day is generally the best time of the year to buy many Amazon-branded electronics, including Fire TV Sticks, Echo Dots, and Kindle ereaders. Amazon’s early deals frequently include these devices and others. For instance, Amazon already has an awesome deal on the Fire TV Stick HD that drops the price to only $20. Fire TV Stick deals are currently available to non-Prime members, but the various 4K Amazon Fire Smart TVs that are on sale are exclusive to members. Here’s a quick look at some notable Amazon device deals.

  • Amazon Streaming Device Deals:
  • Amazon Fire Smart TV Deals:

Prime Day Gaming Deals

Amazon Luna Controller

As part of its early Prime Day gaming deals, Amazon is selling its Luna Wireless Controller for only $40 (was $70). Though initially designed with Luna cloud gaming in mind, this Bluetooth controller is a pretty great gamepad for general use on PC, Mac, iOS, and Android devices. It’s reminiscent of the Switch Pro Controller (the first one). You can also bundle the Luna Controller with a phone clip for mobile gaming for $50. And if you’ve never subscribed to Luna+ before, you can get a free month of the cloud gaming service with the $40 controller deal.

Prime Day Free PC Games

Tomb Raider I-III Remastered

Amazon gives away free games, mostly for PC but sometimes for Xbox, each month throughout the year. The freebies, which can be redeemed at the Epic Games Store, GOG, Microsoft Store, Amazon’s own Games App, and other digital storefronts, are arguably worth the price of a membership alone.

In the weeks leading up to Prime Day, Amazon typically gives away even more free games on top of the monthly offers. That’s the case this year, too. Starting today, June 17, at 9 AM PT, Prime members can claim six free PC games, five of which are DRM-free GOG games.

Here’s the full list of freebies going live today, but Prime members should also make sure they claim the monthly free games for June, too.

Can I still get deals without Amazon Prime?

Technically, Prime Day deals are exclusive to members. In practice, however, there are many deals each year that don’t require a membership. These deals are mainly the ones Amazon is price-matching to compete with Walmart, Target, Best Buy, and other major retailers. These sorts of deals are fairly common for gaming and tech products, but there are still thousands of deals that are locked behind the membership each year.

Eagles’ Saquon Barkley is entering his prime

by admin June 17, 2025

  • Tim McManusJun 16, 2025, 06:00 AM ET

    Close

Tim McManus covers the Philadelphia Eagles for ESPN. He joined ESPN in 2016 after covering the Eagles for Philadelphia Magazine’s Birds 24/7, a site he helped create, since 2010.

PHILADELPHIA — There was a time, Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley said, when he would see clips of Derrick Henry running hills or Christian McCaffrey working out and feel compelled to spring into action to keep pace, thinking, “I’ve got to go.”

The competitive nature remains, but the circumstances are different this offseason, with Barkley coming off a campaign in which he shattered his previous high in carries. And so he is instead listening to a chorus of confidants — a group that includes Eagles coaches, mentors and a couple Hall of Fame backs — who are advising him to take a more measured approach to his training to allow his body to heal.

“You’ve just got to be smarter, right? You have your moments where you go in there and you grind, you push it,” Barkley said. “But the majority of those days is just mobility, conditioning, doing all the things to get your body in shape to perform at a high level. It was a lot of workload [last year], but my body feels great, so that’s the most important thing.”

Barkley had one of the best seasons for a running back of all time in 2024. He rushed for 2,504 yards over the regular season and the postseason, breaking the single-season record. The reigning Associated Press Offensive Player of the Year added 499 yards and five touchdowns in the playoffs to help Philadelphia capture its second Lombardi Trophy.

The Eagles leaned on Barkley quite a bit to fuel their offense. He finished the regular season with 345 carries — 50 more than his previous high of 295 set in 2022 — and ran the ball 91 more times in the playoffs.

The natural concern is whether the effects of that level of usage will carry over as Barkley enters Year 8.

Barkley, 28, consulted head coach Nick Sirianni, running backs coach Jemal Singleton and a pair of former greats in Marshall Faulk and Edgerrin James, among others, who all had similar advice for him.

“It wasn’t hard because everyone I trust told me basically to sit my ass down for a little bit,” he said following the team’s lone minicamp practice last week.

Sirianni noted that each player in the organization has an individualized training regimen based on a number of factors, including player feedback and input from the trainers and strength staff.

“We kind of monitored everybody as we went,” Sirianni said. “We got a lot of good work in, Saquon got a lot of good work in and yeah, I’m pleased with how the offseason program has gone.”

The upcoming weeks will be a little different for Barkley as well. He explained that in previous years he would try to come into training camp ready for Week 1. This time around, he’ll be conscious not to overdo it during the team’s down period and will allow camp to help work him into proper shape for the start of the season.

To this point, the approach seems to be working for Barkley.

“I feel really good,” he said. “I feel like I’m entering my prime.”

24 Amazon Prime Perks You Might Not Be Using (2025)

by admin June 14, 2025

It’s common knowledge that a Prime membership gets you free two-day shipping. But there are Amazon Prime perks that make the service more worthwhile—and considering the cost of a yearly membership, you’re doing yourself a disservice if you aren’t taking advantage of all of them. Below, we’ve listed some of the perks you should be using as an Amazon Prime member. Arguably, these incentives alone aren’t worth the cost of a membership, but chances are at least one of them will come in handy.

Amazon has had more than its fair share of debacles over the years. Still, there are more than 200 million Prime members around the world, with over 180 million members in the United States. Some sources report as many as 220 million members globally. If you’re one of them, these perks are worth checking out—especially during the retailer’s member-exclusive Prime Day sales events, which usually fall during July and October.

Table of Contents

Updated June 2025: We’ve ensured coverage is accurate, removing old benefits and adding new information on Alexa+ and fuel savings.

What’s Amazon Prime, and How Much Does It Cost?

Amazon Prime is a premium membership to Amazon.com. If you’re a brand-new member, you can try it free for 30 days. This trial automatically renews, so set a reminder on your phone to reassess and make sure you cancel, if that’s your plan.

Amazon Prime costs $139 per year. You can pay $15 per month instead, but that raises the cost of the membership to $180 per year. You’ll save more money by paying once. Eighteen- to 24-year-olds can get Prime for Young Adults (formerly Prime Student), which is $69 annually or $7 per month, and there’s a longer six-month free trial before you have to start paying.

Finally, some customers are eligible for Prime Access, a discounted Prime membership. If you verify that you receive qualifying SNAP benefits or other government assistance, you can get Amazon Prime for $7 per month.

Basic Amazon Prime Benefits

Prime members are eligible for free next-day shipping on millions of items and free two-day shipping on millions more. Depending on where you live, you may also be eligible for free same-day delivery or free Amazon Locker pickup. Other Amazon-owned stores also offer free shipping to Prime members, including ShopBop, Woot, and Zappos.

Prime members get free (and commercial-free) Prime Music streaming, which pulls playlists and podcasts from a selection of 100 million songs and serves them ad-free. Members are also eligible for discounted subscriptions to Amazon Music Unlimited, a separate pick-and-play service like Apple Music or Spotify that offers on-demand access to 70 million songs. Normally it costs $11 per month, but Prime members can get it for $10 monthly.

Prime Video is also included with your membership. There are some killer originals, like Fallout and The Boys in addition to other movies and shows. You can also stream sports on Prime Video, including NFL Thursday Night Football. Purchased separately, Prime Video costs $9 per month. Note that these plans are with commercials. If you’re a Prime member and you want to go ad-free, it’ll cost another $3 per month.

Prime Day

Finally, we’d be remiss if we didn’t talk about Amazon’s members-only event, Prime Day. The annual “holiday” has outperformed both Black Friday and Cyber Monday in years past, but not every Prime Day deal is actually a bargain. The WIRED Gear team always covers the event to make good deals easier to find—our coverage is unique in that we only write about deals on products we have personally tested and can verify are great buys rather than flooding our roundups with questionable random brands. This year, we anticipate that (like years past) Prime Day will arrive in the middle of July, with a secondary sale arriving in October. Early Prime Day deals are usually available in the days leading up to the sale, and we’ll be covering the best of the best deals.

Exclusive Deals

Even outside of Prime Day, Amazon Prime members are eligible for special members-only discounts. That might mean a few bucks off your portable charger purchase, a 20 percent–off coupon to use on cleaning supplies, or better prices on new Amazon devices. Individual discounts vary, but we see these sorts of promotions pretty frequently—and, as with Prime Day, not all of them are good.

Early-Access Lightning Deals

Both during and outside of special events like Prime Day and Black Friday, Prime members get early access to select Lightning Deals. You will be able to shop 30 minutes before other customers. Whether Lightning Deals are worth your money is another discussion entirely, but it’s a perk worth checking out.

Amazon Day

Overwhelmed by the sheer number of boxes at your door? (Honestly, as a product reviewer, same.) Amazon Day lets you schedule all of your deliveries to arrive on a certain day of the week. Rather than dealing with a box or two at a time on multiple days, you can get one package with all of your orders on whichever day you prefer. If you use Amazon Day, you aren’t locked in. That means if you’re ordering something you need quickly, you can still opt for the fastest shipping method. Amazon Day is a good way to cut back on cardboard (and your carbon footprint).

No-Rush Rewards

If you don’t need your order to arrive right away, sometimes at checkout you’ll see the option for free No-Rush Shipping. Usually, choosing No-Rush Shipping gets you a free $1 digital credit to use on things like ebooks, digital games, movies, and the like. The rewards sometimes expire after a certain duration. I’ve used No-Rush credits to get as much as $10 off digital games on release day. Since video game discounts are rare, especially right after release, this can be lucrative if you time it correctly (and don’t mind waiting for your purchases to arrive).

Alexa+

Prime members will get free access to Alexa+. Alexa+ is the new version of Amazon’s voice assistant. It uses generative AI and will cost $20 per month to non-Prime members when it leaves Early Access. Amazon says you’ll be able to talk naturally, phrase requests how you like, receive tailored recommendations based on your preferences, create bedtime stories, and more.

Grubhub+

Amazon Prime members get free access to Grubhub+, which includes free delivery on orders over $12, plus an assortment of Prime-exclusive discounts at various restaurants throughout the year.

Amazon Fresh, Whole Foods, and Amazon Grocery

Amazon Fresh lets you order groceries via Amazon and get them delivered to your door. It’s not available in all areas, but it is a different way to shop if you’re trying to avoid in-person trips. You also get a selection of products from Whole Foods available through Amazon Fresh. Somewhat confusingly, there are similarly named physical Amazon Fresh grocery stores in some cities. If you’re shopping at Whole Foods in person, you can scan the smartphone app to get an extra 10 percent off storewide sales, and there are other member-discounts available throughout the year.

There’s a separate Amazon Grocery subscription that costs $10 a month or $99 a year. If you have SNAP or EBT benefits, you can get 50 percent off. This subscription gets you unlimited free grocery delivery on orders over $35 or more from Whole Foods Market, Amazon Fresh, and local retailers.

Amazon Family

For families, Amazon Family is a good way to share benefits between multiple people. You can share membership perks with two adults, four teens (ages 13-17), and four children. Parents can use Amazon Household to approve teens’ orders or set up parental controls on kids’ content.

Amazon First Reads

Each month, Prime members can benefit from Amazon First Reads. You’ll get at least one Kindle book from the selection for free. Nonmembers can get their two books for $2 apiece. As a reminder, you can read Kindle books even if you don’t have a Kindle device, thanks to the free app available for phones and computers. We also have a buying guide to help you pick the right Kindle.

Prime Reading

In addition to First Reads, Prime members get access to tons of Kindle books via Prime Reading. There are more than a thousand items to choose from. Aside from books, you can access audiobooks and magazines, plus comics via Comixology.

Prime Gaming

Every month, Prime members are eligible for various rewards via Prime Gaming (formerly known as Twitch Prime). This includes in-game loot in a variety of popular games, free game downloads, free downloadable content (DLC) and expansions, and more. You also get a free Twitch subscription—which sounds like you can watch Twitch for free, but “Twitch subs” are actually subscriptions to individual Twitch streamers, and they normally cost money. With the free subscription you get from Amazon Prime, you can support channels you enjoy—creators make some money off the subscription, but it won’t cost you anything extra.

$10 off Game Preorders

This discount used to be much better, but it’s still worth looking into if you are in the market for a new video game. Occasionally, Prime members can receive $10 off when they preorder a game. Eligible titles show up here when they’re available. Some video games also have free Release Date Delivery—just look for that shipping option when preordering a game.

Unlimited Online Photo Storage

Prime members get access to unlimited full-resolution photo storage, and 5 gigabytes of video storage as well. You can store, print, and share photos using the Amazon Photos app and back everything up to the cloud. (Printing is done through Shutterfly, where Prime members get a 45 percent discount.) If your account ever loses Prime status, you’ll need to pay at least $2 per month to keep storing your photos and videos, so this shouldn’t be your primary backup method. You might want to consider using one of these options as well.

Discounted Amazon Kids+

Amazon Kids+ (formerly FreeTime Unlimited) is Amazon’s content service for kids. The service is compatible with several iOS, Android, and Amazon devices, like Fire Tablets. It essentially provides a bevy of parental controls while giving kiddos access to age-appropriate shows, books, games, and the like. Kids+ costs $8 per month, but Prime members can snag the subscription for $6 per month (or $79 and $48 per year, respectively).

Fuel Savings

By linking your Amazon Prime account to Earnify, a loyalty app owned by BP and Amoco, you can save at least 10 cents per gallon on fuel at over 7,500 participating gas stations locations.

Additional Perks for Specific Customers

Expecting a new addition to your family? Select Prime members can claim a free Baby Registry Welcome Box by creating a registry that has at least 10 unique items and $10 worth of purchases (by themselves or others). Learn more here.

Prime RX offers select customers discounts on prescription medication. It’s a prescription savings card that can be used at pharmacies nationwide, including Amazon Pharmacy. These savings programs are nothing new—one similar program is GoodRx—and one may argue that giving Amazon information about your medications adds another layer to privacy concerns. However, the benefit is free if you do decide to use it, and it may be worth checking out if you pay a lot out-of-pocket for prescription medication.

Amazon Key offers select Prime members in-garage delivery. If you live in an eligible area, and you’re interested, you’ll need to purchase and install a smart garage kit. Amazon Key previously offered in-home delivery, but it’s currently on pause. (Of course, this also comes with a slew of privacy concerns.)

There are three different Amazon credit cards. These come in the form of rewards back for Prime members on select purchases or at select retailers. You don’t need to get an Amazon credit card; we encourage you to read through all of the available information and carefully consider it before deciding whether or not to get one.

Steven Universe sequel Lars of the Stars coming to Prime Video

by admin June 11, 2025

Cartoon Network’s Peabody Award-winning series Steven Universe earned a huge following in the 2010s for its unusual mix of rich and complicated space opera with tight stories about life in a small beachside town, along with its commitment to pushing the boundaries of queer representation in children’s television. After concluding its run with a movie, a limited series tied up loose ends and examined what life was like after the main conflict was resolved. Now, creator Rebecca Sugar is returning to that world with Steven: Universe Lars of the Stars, a sequel series in development for Prime Video.

Lars Barriga (Matthew Moy) had quite a journey on Steven Universe. An insecure punk kid who worked at Big Donut in Beach City, his primary concerns were originally maybe having a crush on his coworker and trying to impress the cool kids in town. Then he wound up being abducted alongside the show’s eponymous hero Steven (Zach Callison) and taken to the homeworld of the Gem Empire, an ancient species that conquers planets across the galaxy.

[Ed. note: Major spoilers follow for Steven Universe.]

While captive, Lars got the chance to grow as a character, abandoning the fears that held him back on Earth to protect Steven and a group of gems called the Off Colors who don’t fit into the Gems’ rigid caste system. Lars’ heroism costs him his life, but Steven used his powers to resurrect his friend, leaving him with pink skin and a greatly extended lifespan. Lars helped Steven escape but opted to stay behind to help the Off Colors. When Steven next encountered him, he’d become Lars of the Stars, a Star-Lord-like space pirate leading the Off Colors on missions to defy the Gem Empire.

According to a press release, Steven Universe: Lars of the Stars will continue that story and explore the past, present and future of the series’ world by following the teen outlaw and his crew as they “smuggle contraband, evade the authorities, and uncover the darkest secrets of the fallen Gem Empire.” Sugar and her husband (and fellow Steven Universe producer) Ian Jones-Quartey will serve as executive producers on the show.
