Mario Tennis Fever Preorders Are Live – First Mario Sports Game For Switch 2

by admin September 15, 2025

Mario Tennis Fever is available to preorder for $70 at multiple major retailers ahead of its release next year on February 12, 2026. The latest Mario sports game is the first for Nintendo Switch 2 and will be exclusive to the new hardware. And like most Nintendo-published titles for Switch 2, Mario Tennis Fever retails for $70.

Mario Tennis Fever was unveiled on September 12 during the Super Mario 40th Anniversary section of the latest Nintendo Direct. The livestream also revealed Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2, which releases much sooner (October 2) and is available for Switch 2 and original Switch.

$70 | Releases February 12, 2026

Mario Tennis Fever’s physical edition is up for preorder at Amazon, Walmart, Target, Best Buy, and GameStop. No preorder bonuses have been revealed, but retailers often have exclusive bonuses for Nintendo games. We’ll update this story if that happens with Mario Tennis Fever.

The full game is stored on the Switch 2 game card. Nintendo estimates a 10GB download for the digital edition of Mario Tennis Fever, which is available to preorder on the eShop for the same price.

Technically, Mario Tennis Fever is the second Mario sports game to release exclusively on Switch 2. Nintendo recently added Super Mario Strikers to the GameCube catalog for Switch Online + Expansion Pack members. But Mario Tennis Fever is the first all-new Mario sports game for Switch 2.

Mario Tennis Fever (Nintendo)

Mario Tennis Fever will have local and online multiplayer for up to four players. It supports button/stick controls as well as motion controls with the Joy-Con 2. You’ll be able to play as 38 different characters from the Mushroom Kingdom. The “Fever” moniker is a reference to this entry’s new twist: Fever Rackets. There are 30 Fever Rackets with unique special effects such as freezing the court and shrinking your opponent’s racket.

In the new Adventure Mode, monsters who inhabit a mysterious island turn Mario, Luigi, Peach, Wario, and Waluigi into babies. Donkey Kong is also in the campaign, but he isn’t a baby (sadly). Baby Mario and his friends will need to develop their tennis skills all over again to escape the island.

Other game modes include Trial Towers, Tournament, Ranked Matches, Online Room, and Mix It Up. Mario Tennis Fever will borrow from Super Mario Bros. Wonder by having Talking Flowers commentate matches in Tournament Mode and by introducing Wonder Effects to Mix It Up Mode.

Mario Sports Games for Nintendo Switch

The last Mario Tennis game, Mario Tennis Aces, released back in 2018 and was the first Mario sports title for the original Switch, too. Since the Nintendo Switch 2 is backward compatible, you can play the trio of Mario sports games for Switch on the new console: Mario Tennis Aces, Mario Golf: Super Rush, and Mario Strikers: Battle League.

More Nintendo Direct Game Preorders

Along with the new Mario games, Nintendo announced release dates for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment. Preorders are also open for seven new Amiibo, including a pair of Super Mario Galaxy figures. Mario fans should also check out Rosalina’s Storybook, a hardcover edition of the in-game book from Mario Galaxy published by Dark Horse. Preorders for Rosalina’s Storybook are live now for $25 at Amazon.

If you need a Switch 2 before Mario Tennis Fever’s launch, Amazon is now taking preorders for the Pokemon Legends: Z-A Switch 2 Bundle ahead of the value bundle’s October 16 release. Check out a list of all of the new games featured in the Nintendo Direct that you can preorder now below.

Metroid Prime 4 Game And Samus Amiibo Preorders Available Now

by admin September 15, 2025

Metroid fans have been beyond ready for the fourth entry in the Metroid Prime series, and now we know when the more than 18-year wait comes to an end. Announced during September’s jam-packed Nintendo Direct, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond launches December 4 on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, and preorders are now open for both versions at major retailers. Metroid enthusiasts can also preorder three new Amiibo figures: A new Samus Amiibo and Samus on her Vi-O-La motorcycle launch November 6, and a Sylux Amiibo releases the same day as the game.

Check out all of the Metroid Prime 4 preorder details you need to know below. We’ve also included a look at the upcoming Metroid Prime Trilogy retrospective book and two recently released official Metroid gaming accessories, including a brand-new wireless controller for Switch 1/2.

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Preorder Bonuses

Nintendo rarely offers preorder bonuses with its exclusives, but it’s fairly common for retailers to have exclusive bonuses for Nintendo games. No retailer has announced any bonuses just yet, but we’ll update this story if anything changes. It took over a month for Walmart and Best Buy to reveal Pokemon Legends: Z-A exclusive bonuses. Retailers typically add the bonus to your order if you preorder before it was announced.

$70 | Releases December 4

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond for Nintendo Switch 2 includes the base Switch game and the Switch 2 Upgrade Pack for $70. Like other first-party Switch 2 games and select third-party titles, the full game is stored on the cartridge, so you won’t need to download any data beyond patches.

The Switch 2 version of Metroid Prime 4 has better visuals, enhanced resolutions in handheld and docked modes, and higher frame rates. Two different graphics modes will be available at launch. When the Switch 2 is docked, Quality mode renders Samus’ latest adventure in 4K at 60fps. Performance mode offers 1080p resolution at 120fps. Metroid Prime 4’s handheld experience offers 1080p resolution at 60fps in Quality mode and 720p at 120fps in Performance mode. High Dynamic Range is supported at all times.

Switch 2 players also have the option to use mouse controls with the Joy-Con 2 to aim Samus’ arm canon. Players can swap freely between dual stick, mouse, and gyro motion controls at any time.

$60 | Releases December 4

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond retails for 10 bucks less on original Switch hardware. Like other games with versions for both generations of Switch hardware, you can upgrade to the Switch 2 edition for $10. The upgrade is available for digital and physical owners of Prime 4 on Switch.

Metroid Prime 4 Amiibo Figures

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond was initially revealed back at E3 2017, just a few months after the Nintendo Switch launched. Preorders actually opened at the same time. Many fans had an Amazon preorder for nearly eight years before the retailer finally canceled all existing orders earlier this year. Prime 4 was originally being developed by Bandai Namco, but the project was scrapped and restarted in 2019 by Retro Studios. The Nintendo subsidiary developed the previous three Prime games, and Beyond is led by the original producer Kensuke Tanabe. Gameplay footage shown so far has looked very promising.

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond takes place after the events of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, though how far after remains unclear. What we do know is that it will see Samus explore an all-new planet, Viewros, populated by a new musical alien race called____ who have called on Samus to save the planet from an unknown threa. To aid in her adventure, the ____ imbue Samus with all-new psychic powers that will allow her to interface with the strange ruins and artifacts on Viewros and defend herself against the deadly creatures that live there.

As confirmed in an earlier gameplay trailer, Samus’ enigmatic rival, Sylux, will also appear and likely play a pivotable role in the storyline. Gameplay footage shown so far has looked very promising, and fans don’t have to wait much longer to explore the planet of Viewros through Samus’ iconic visor.

If you’re looking to play earlier Metroid Prime games before the Beyond arrives, unfortunately, the long-rumored Metroid Prime Trilogy for Switch never materialized. But you can at least play the gorgeous 2023 remaster of the original GameCube hit. Metroid Prime Remastered is a brilliant modernization of the 2002 classic. You can snag the physical edition for Nintendo Switch for $40 at Amazon. Samus’ 2021 side-scrolling adventure Metroid Dread is also well-worth playing.

In August, PowerA launched a pair of Metroid Prime-themed accessories. After initially selling out, the new PowerA Enhanced Wireless Controller and wired gaming earbuds are back in stock at Amazon. Take a look at both of the stylish pieces of gear below.

$70

PowerA’s new Metroid-themed wireless controller is compatible with Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 via Bluetooth. The controller is officially licensed and has a traditional form factor similar to Nintendo’s Pro Controllers.

It has anti-friction joystick rings, motion controls, dual rumble motors, and two back buttons that can be remapped on the fly. The eye-catching design features Samus Aran wearing her Varia Suit and a space-themed background on the right. The Metroid Prime logo is on the left grip.

The controller can run for up to 30 hours between charges and comes with a 10-foot USB-C cable.

$25

PowerA’s Metroid Prime-themed gaming earbuds look pretty cool, but it’s worth noting upfront that the controller doesn’t have a 3.5mm headphone jack. The Switch 2 console, however, does support wired earbuds.

The $25 earbuds feature Metroid iconography on each side and three swappable silicone tips. It has an inline microphone for voice chat, 8mm dynamic audio drivers, and an adjustable slider to prevent the wires from becoming tangled.

Honestly, though, the coolest feature might be the drawstring storage bag, as it features three pieces of key art depicting Samus based on her appearances in the original trilogy.

$46.49 (was $50) | Releases October 28

Speaking of the Metroid Prime Trilogy, the highly anticipated, official visual retrospective is slated to release October 28. Made by the team behind the beautiful Legend of Zelda strategy guides, Metroid Prime 1-3: A Visual Retrospective is a 208-page cloth hardcover that sounds like a must-read book for fans.

The book includes concept art, sketches, and illustrations as well as commentary from Retro Studios developers and other behind-the-scenes materials such as producer’s notes from Nintendo’s archives. The book covers Metroid Prime, Prime 2: Echoes, Prime 3: Corruption, and Metroid Prime Remastered.

Series producer Kensuke Tanabe wrote the foreword for the book, and each game’s section is introduced by a developer from Retro Studios.

We have yet to see any of the pages, but the etched metallic-foil illustration of Samus on the cover looks awesome. Publisher Piggyback printed the book on premium art paper and stitched the pages to the binding. The hardcover is wrapped in cloth, which adds to the collectible-quality aesthetic.

Dragon Quest VII Reimagined Preorders Are Up At Amazon

by admin September 14, 2025

Dragon Quest fans got a big surprise during the September 12, 2025, Nintendo Direct presentation, which revealed that one of the biggest games in the series, Dragon Quest VII, is getting an all-new version next year featuring gorgeous new graphics, voice acting, and gameplay updates. The aptly titled Dragon Quest VII Reimagined launches for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC on February 5, 2026. Preorders are available now, and the game is available in multiple versions–including physical standard and Collector’s Editions, and a Digital Deluxe Edition. Grabbing an early copy unlocks a few in-game bonuses, and if you grab the Digital Deluxe Edition, you even get 48-hour early access to the full game.

Dragon Quest VII Reimagined Preorder Bonuses

Dragon Quest VII Reimagined preorder bonus

Preordering any version of Dragon Quest VII Reimagined gets you a few Early Bird in-game extras, including a special costume for the main hero based on the outfit worn by the protagonist of Dragon Quest VIII and three Seed of Proficiency items. These preorder bonuses are included with all physical and digital preorders.

Dragon Quest VII Reimagined Early Bird Pack:

  • Trodian Togs costume for Hero
  • 3x Seeds of Proficiency

In addition to these in-game extras, preordering the Digital Deluxe Edition on any platform gets you 48-hour early access to the full game starting February 3.

$60 | Releases February 5, 2026

The Dragon Quest VII Reimagined standard edition includes the full game on your platform of choice. Those who preorder also get the Early Bird items outlined above. Physical preorders are available for Switch 2, Switch, PS5, and Xbox Series X. Note that the Switch 2 version is a Game Key-Card release, meaning it doesn’t include the game data on the cart, and instead unlocks the digital download version of the game. This means you must download and install the game to your Switch 2 before playing. There does not appear to be a Switch 2 Edition upgrade available for the Switch version.

Digital preorders are also available on console and on PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store.

Dragon Quest VII Reimagined Digital Deluxe Edition

$75 | Releases February 3, 2026

This version of the game includes access to the digital version of Dragon Quest VII Reimagined, the Early Bird preorder bonuses, and a selection of additional content. Preordering this version grants you up to 48-hour early access to the game and all bonus content starting February 2, 2026. Here’s everything in the Dragon Quest VII Reimagined Digital Deluxe Edition

  • Dragon Quest VII Reimagined base game
  • White Wolf costume for Ruff
  • Luminary’s Livery DLC pack*: A costume set for the main party based on the outfits from the characters in Dragon Quest VII
  • The Road of Regal Wretches DLC pack*: includes extra Battle Arena challenges based on classic Dragon Quest bosses.
  • Jam-Packed Swag Bag DLC pack*: Includes numerous in-game weapons, consumable items, and summonable monster allies.

*Will also be available as separate purchases.

Preorders are available for $75 at the PlayStation Store, Nintendo eShop, Microsoft Store, and Steam.

Dragon Quest VII Reimagined Collector’s Edition

$250 | Releases February 5, 2026

This limited physical edition includes a boxed copy of Dragon Quest VII Reimagined, the Early Bird preorder bonus, Digital Deluxe DLC content, a special Steelbook case, a Slime enemy plushie, and a Ship in a Bottle figure based on the boat the party uses to explore the many islands of Dragon Quest VII’s world.

You can preorder Dragon Quest VII Reimagined Collector’s Edition for $250 exclusively at Square Enix’s online store. It’s available in PS5, Switch 2, Switch, and Xbox Series X versions.

Dragon Quest VII Reimagined is a ground-up remake of the original PS1 version of Dragon Quest VII that launched in 2000. This is actually the second remake of the sprawling console JRPG; it was also remade for the Nintendo 3DS in 2016. However, Reimagined looks to be an even bigger overhaul of the game, featuring a gorgeous new artstyle reminiscent of sculpted figurines that resembles the FMV cutscenes of the PS1 version. It also maintains the top-down viewpoint of the PS1 version. Based on what we’ve seen so far, the new visual style looks to be a great fit for the late Akira Toryiama’s classic character and monster designs.

According to the announcement trailer and the game’s official website, Dragon Quest VII Reimagined will also make notable changes to the story and gameplay. While the exact changes to the story have not been detailed, Square Enix says the narrative has been “reworked to be pacier and more accessible to players,” which isn’t surprising, considering the PS1 and 3DS versions are notoriously large games that can easily take over 100 hours just to complete the main storyline.

On the gameplay side, Reimagined maintains the turn-based battles of the original game, with the option to increase battle speed or turn on auto-battling. Like the 3DS version, Reimagined will let players see monster encounters on the field, and you’ll automatically defeat low-level enemies without having to enter combat. The game will also feature a reworked class system that lets party members select two classes at once, as well as tweaks and updates to each of the various vocations.

Dragon Quest VII Reimagined isn’t the only upcoming Dragon Quest remake. Dragon Quest 1 & 2 HD-2D Remake also launches on PS5, Xbox, Switch 2, Switch, and PC on October 30. Preorders are available for $60 on al platforms. The game will feature enhanced versions of the first two Dragon Quest games from the 1980s with all-new graphics, gameplay updates, and even new content. The new HD-2D version follows up a similar HD-2D remake for Dragon Quest 3 that launched last year on all consoles, and recently got a Switch 2 Edition upgrade that increases performance on Nintendo’s new handheld. Eventually, we’ll hopefully hear more about the long-awaited Dragon Quest 12, but these remakes of classic entries in the series will keep fans busy until then.

Nintendo Direct Switch 2 Preorders At Amazon – All New Games & Amiibo You Can Reserve Now

by admin September 13, 2025

This week’s hour-long Nintendo Direct was filled with exciting announcements, including brand-new reveals like Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 and long-awaited release date confirmations such as Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. We now know that Nintendo has six big game launches in a two-month span starting with the Mario Galaxy collection on October 2 and ending with Metroid Prime 4 December 4. In between, we’re getting Pokemon Legends: Z-A, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, and Kirby Air Riders–plus a wide assortment of third-party titles like timed-exclusive Hades II, which is published by Nintendo.

Nintendo Direct Preorders:

Nintendo also revealed seven new Amiibo figures: three for Metroid Prime 4, two for Kirby Air Riders, and two for Super Mario Galaxy. Metroid and Mario also have upcoming books releasing this fall: Metroid Prime 1-3: A Visual Retrospective and Rosalina’s Storybook.

We’ve rounded up all of the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 (and original Switch) games and accessories from the Nintendo Direct that you can preorder now at Amazon. This roundup also includes Nintendo-published games and first-party accessories for Switch 2 that are already available. If you don’t own Nintendo’s new console, Amazon opened preorders for the Switch 2 Pokemon Legends: Z-A Bundle on September 12. It’s the first time you can simply buy the console from Amazon without an extra step. To purchase the Mario Kart World Bundle and standalone console from Amazon, you need to request an invite.

Upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch exclusives

Mario Kart World’s $80 price led many Nintendo fans to believe this would be a common price point for Switch 2 exclusives. It turns out that’s not the case–at least not yet. Metroid Prime 4, Hyrule Warriors, Kirby Air Riders, and all of the other Switch 2 games in Nintendo’s popular franchises are $70. Original Switch editions of Pokemon Legends: Z-A and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond are $60. The outlier here is Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2. The lone physical edition is an original Switch game that’s priced at $70. The collection has a free upgrade pack for Switch 2.

Note: A couple of the games in the list below aren’t exclusive to Switch 1/2–Dragon Quest VII Reimagined and Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade–but they were part of the September Nintendo Direct. Hades II is a timed console exclusive published by Nintendo, but it will also be available on PC at launch.

Nintendo Switch 2 Amiibo preorders

Metroid Prime 4’s trio of Amiibo figures have two release dates and price points. The large Samus & Vi-O-La motorcycle figure is $40 and launches alongside the new $30 Samus Aran Amiibo on November 6. An Amiibo version of Sylux hits store shelves the same day as Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. The two Kirby Air Riders Amiibo are $50 each, which makes them the priciest Amiibo figures yet. It’s not very surprising, though, as the Warp Star and and Winged Star Machines shown above are separate figures, so these are more like double packs. Super Mario Galaxy fans will have to wait until April 2026 to add the new Mario and Rosalina Amiibo figures to their collections. Each figure is $40, though the character stands are more elaborate than we typically see with Amiibo.

The seven new Amiibo join an existing lineup of eight Zelda, Street Fighter, and Donkey Kong Switch 2 Amiibo figures. Amazon and other major retailers are offering discounts on most of the Amiibo figures that launched alongside the Switch 2.

Nintendo Switch 2 first-party accessories

Nintendo raised the prices of select first-party accessories at the beginning of August. Not all of the official Switch 2 accessories were impacted, but the Pro Controller and Joy-Con 2 each increased by five bucks. The list below also includes a couple of the most popular officially licensed third-party accessories like Samsung’s 256GB microSD Express Card and Hori’s Piranha Plant Camera, which looks cool but isn’t a good piece of tech.

Astro Bot Joyful DualSense Limited Edition Preorders Open Tomorrow Morning

Astro Bot Joyful DualSense Limited Edition Preorders Open Tomorrow Morning

by admin September 12, 2025

Astro Bot fans have another chance to get a DualSense Controller themed around the adorable little robot. Preorders for PlayStation’s Astro Bot Joyful Limited Edition DualSense open tomorrow, September 12, at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET. The remixed version of the incredibly popular DualSense launches October 30.

PlayStation hasn’t officially confirmed pricing details, but we’d expect the controller to retail for $85 like other recent Limited Edition DualSense models. Like the original, the Astro Bot Joyful edition will be sold at PlayStation Direct and participating major retailers. In the US, this likely means Amazon, Walmart, Target, Best Buy, and GameStop.

$85 | Releases October 30

As the “Joyful” moniker suggests, the 2025 edition makes one change to the design: Astro’s eyes on the touchpad match his smiling face from the PS5 game. The original edition depicted Astro’s eyes as circles. The updated design matches Astro’s face on the game’s cover art.

Outside of that small, but noticeable alteration, this is the same controller that launched in September 2024.

The white and blue color scheme simply looks fantastic, so it’s not surprising this controller was popular enough to warrant a second edition. It’s arguably the best-looking Limited Edition DualSense yet. It also helps that Astro Bot is one of the best 3D platformers ever made and has a strong argument for best overall PS5 game.

Note: The links below are search results where you can expect to find the controller once retailers create store pages. We will update with direct store pages once available.

Heads up: The original Astro Bot controller sells for around $150 on eBay. Amazon says 50+ people have purchased preowned Astro Bot controllers for $155-$170 in the past month. Though we’d be surprised if the new edition sells out as quickly as the first one–just because many people already have a very similar controller–we wouldn’t count on this remaining in stock for too long.

That said, it’s worth noting that PlayStation’s Ghost of Yotei Limited Edition DualSense Controllers (and PS5 consoles) remain in stock a week after preorders opened. PlayStation Direct has an exclusive edition with black artwork, while the gold edition is available at all major retailers.

For more Astro Bot merch, check out the upcoming Funko Pop vinyl figure. Slated to release January 30, 2026, the Astro Bot Funko Pop is available to preorder for $15 at Amazon.

Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion Limited Edition Preorders Restocked Ahead Of Friday’s Launch

by admin September 1, 2025

Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion’s Limited Edition is back in stock at Amazon and Walmart ahead of the mecha-action game’s September 5 launch on PS5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Titanic Scion’s Limited Edition had been sold out for most of the summer at all major retailers. The $100 edition is available for all three console platforms and comes with numerous collectibles for only $30 more than the price of the standard edition.

Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion Limited Edition

Developed and published by Marvelous, Titanic Scion’s Switch 2 physical edition includes the full game on the card, just like the other Switch 2 games the studio has made for Nintendo’s new console: Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma, which was a Switch 2 launch game, and Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar, which released last week. Titanic Scion’s listed eShop file size is 22.9GB, so opting for the physical edition lets you avoid using 10% of the Switch 2’s 256GB onboard storage on the new mecha-action title. Unlike Guardians of Azuma and Grand Bazaar, Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion will not be available on original Switch hardware.

$70 | Releases September 5

Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion’s standard physical edition is available to preorder for $70 on PS5, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X. The standard edition is in stock at Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, Target, and GameStop.

You’ll also find three different digital versions on Steam, the Xbox Store, the PlayStation Store, and the Switch eShop starting at $70. Digital preorders come with a few in-game items: Bahamut Arsenal Skin, Beguiling Suit, and Victorious Gleam Laser Sword.

$100 | Releases September 5

As mentioned, Titanic Scion’s Limited Edition had been sold out for most of the summer at all major retailers. Now, with less than a week remaining until launch, the $100 edition is back in stock for Switch 2, PS5, and Xbox Series X at several retailers. the Limited Edition is available on all three console platforms at Amazon, and Walmart has it in stock for PS5 and Switch 2.

The Limited Edition is packaged in an oversized display box with alternate artwork. Inside the box, you’ll find a standard boxed copy of Titanic Scion for the console platform of your choice and numerous collectibles, including an art book, acrylic diorama, and the official soundtrack on CD. Here’s the full list of contents included with the Limited Edition:

  • Physical game in standard case
  • Oversized display box with unique art
  • 3D Acrylic Diorama
  • Full-color Art Book
  • Original Soundtrack on CD
  • 3 Flight Tag Keychains
  • 3 Emblem Patches

That’s a lot of extra content for only $30, so it’s not surprising that the Limited Edition has been difficult to find in stock. Additionally, it’s worth keeping in mind that Guardians of Azuma’s Earth Dancer Limited Edition also dealt with stock shortages and is no longer carried by most retailers–Amazon does have the Earth Dancer Edition in stock at the moment, though.

Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion takes place in a world where people born with unique abilities rebel against the rest of humanity. Eventually, they take control of an array of orbital defense satellites and rule the planet below with an iron fist. What follows is a series of intense mech battles as the warring factions fight for control of the world. You can customize your Arsenal (mech) and explore Titanic Scion’s open world solo or alongside up to two friends in the online cooperative mode.

Titanic Scion is the sequel to the 2019 game Daemon X Machina, which was exclusive to Nintendo Switch at launch. Marvelous ported the first game to PC in 2020, but Titanic Scion marks the franchise’s debut on PS5 and Xbox. GameSpot awarded the original 7/10 in our Daemon X Machina review for its engaging mech combat and surprisingly deep lore.

Returning players will have an advantage when it comes to lore and understanding some references, but Marvelous says the sequel was made for newcomers, too. The story takes place 300 years after the conclusion of the first game, so all of the characters and plot points will be new to all players.

That said, if you want to play the original, be prepared to pay more than you’d probably expect. The digital edition still sells for $60 on the Switch eShop, and the physical edition has been out of print for years. Walmart has Daemon X Machina on Switch for $66 via a reputable third-party seller, and PC players can get a Steam key for $42.49 (was $50) at Fanatical with promo code FANATICAL15.

Disclosure: GameSpot and Fanatical are both owned by Fandom.

Marvelous Inc.’s Nintendo Switch 2 Games: Full file on Game Card

Marvelous Inc. Nintendo Switch 2 games

Titanic Scion arrives just one week after Marvelous launched Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar, the latest entry in the farming life sim series formerly known as Harvest Moon. Grand Bazaar also has two editions for Switch 2: a $60 standard edition and $80 Premium Edition. Guardians of Azuma, meanwhile, is on sale for $60 (was $70) at Amazon. The Earth Dancer Limited Edition only launched on Switch, but you can upgrade physical and digital versions of the new Rune Factory game to Switch 2 for $10 on the eShop.

As mentioned, all three of Marvelous’ Switch 2 games–Titanic Scion (22.9GB), Guardians of Azuma (18GB), Grand Bazaar (7.7GB)–include the full file on the game card. We included the digital edition file sizes in parentheses next to the game titles to roughly note how many gigabytes you’re saving versus buying digital editions.

Another notable third-party game that opted for the truly physical edition route is Cyberpunk 2077. And since the digital edition of CD Projekt Red’s impressive open-world adventure eats up 60GB, the physical edition is even more beneficial from a storage perspective.

Unfortunately, most third-party Switch 2 games available now and on the horizon utilize the Switch 2’s Game-Key Cards, which are license keys in cartridge format. Game-Key Cards grant you the ability to download the game from the eShop. Essentially, you’re buying a digital game, but the card must remain in the system to play it. To be fair, this allows you to sell the Game-Key Card, which you can’t do with eShop games, but the impact on storage space is the same whether you use a Game-Key Card or buy directly from the eShop.

Castlevania Complete Series Blu-Ray Preorders Restocked At Amazon

by admin August 30, 2025

Castlevania: Complete Series Limited Edition is finally back in stock at Amazon for $150 (was $155). When preorders first opened July 31, Amazon sold out in less than 24 hours. The pricey box set remained out of stock at Amazon throughout August. Castlevania fans who missed out on preordering the first time have another chance to reserve the collectible box set ahead of its September 30 release. If Amazon sells out again, Walmart also opened preorders for the same price–technically it’s sold/shipped by Gruv–and you can preorder at Crunchyroll for $155.

Castlevania: Complete Series includes all four seasons of Netflix’s original Castlevania animated series. The limited-edition box set is packaged in a fancy faux-woodgrain box that houses the Blu-rays and a handful of collectibles, including an art book Ouija board, Tarot deck, and more.

Castlevania: Complete Series – Limited Edition (Blu-ray)

Notably, this collection does not come with either season of Nocturne. Season 1 of the follow-up series released on Blu-ray last fall, but Season 2 remains stuck on Netflix. To complete your Castlevania Blu-ray collection, you can pick up Nocturne Season 1 for $23 (was $40) at Amazon. Prices in the sub-$20 range for individual seasons of the show are what make Castlevania: The Complete Series a steep ask at full price. At $150, the Limited Edition box set is roughly $95 more than you’d spend buying these three Blu-rays: Seasons 1-2 bundle ($18.77), Season 3 ($19.53), and Season 4 ($20).

$150 (was $155) | Releases September 30

Castlevania: The Complete Series comes with all four seasons of the original animated Netflix show across six Blu-ray discs. The total runtime for Castlevania’s 32 episodes is 13 hours and 20 minutes; episodes range from 22-31 minutes each. Castlevania: The Complete Series is bundled inside a woodgrain-style box with decorative gold trim and a portrait of the main characters.

Here’s the full list of physical and on-disc extras that come with the Limited Edition:

  • 72-page Art Book
  • Ouija Game Board with Planchette
  • Castlevania Tarot Card Deck
  • 2 Window Cling Art Pieces
  • Collector’s Box
  • On-disc bonus content:
    • Art Galleries
    • Storyboards
    • Trailers
    • Production Animatics
    • Voice Actor Interviews

Castlevania debuted on Netflix in 2017 with a four-episode arc. It was a huge hit out of the gate. Season 2’s eight episode arc dropped in 2018 and was followed up by two 10-episode seasons in 2020-21.

The Limited Edition Blu-ray box set looks like a cool collectible and display piece for big fans of Konami’s classic game franchise and Netflix’s stylish adaptation.

We’ve listed all of the Castlevania Blu-rays below for comparison. Buying the first two seasons together is cheaper than grabbing them separately, but there is a Season 1 bundle that includes a cool T-shirt for $20.

To spend even more time with Netflix’s Castlevania series, check out the superb official art book published by Dark Horse in 2021. Castlevania: The Art of the Animated Series is on sale for $27.74 (was $40) at Amazon.

A couple of Netflix’s other animated series based on video game franchises have upcoming Blu-ray releases, too. Season 2 of Arcane: League of Legends launches on 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray on October 21. Just like Season 1, Arcane’s final season is getting two different Limited Edition Steelbooks. Check out our Arcane 4K Blu-ray buying guide for more details.

As mentioned, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners will finally release on Blu-ray this October as a Crunchyroll Store exclusive. Fans can preorder Cyberpunk: Edgerunners for $124 (was $155) ahead of its October 23 launch.

Lost In Space Limited Edition 4K Blu-Ray Preorders Are 50% Off

by admin August 24, 2025

Amazon is offering a 50% discount on Arrow Video’s upcoming 4K Blu-ray restoration of Lost in Space. Lost in Space Limited Edition is available to preorder for only $25 (was $50) ahead of its September 2 release.

Directed by Stephen Hopkins, the sci-fi film starring Gary Oldman and William Hurt wasn’t warmly received in 1998. To be fair, the original 1960s TV series it was based on wasn’t a critical success either. Nevertheless, the film and series were commercial successes, and both are considered cult classics today. Netflix even created a reimagining of the original series back in 2018 that ran for three seasons.

If you enjoyed the Netflix series but haven’t watched the film, the new 4K Blu-ray edition should be the best way to watch it going forward. For longtime Lost in Space fans, the Limited Edition, like all of Arrow Video’s restorations of classic films, looks like a cool collector’s item.

$25 (was $50) | Releases September 2

Restored in native 4K (2160p) resolution using the original camera negative, Lost in Space’s 4K Blu-ray edition was approved by director Stephen Hopkins. Along with retaining the original aspect ratio, the 4K edition supports High Dynamic Range–Dolby Vision and HDR10–as well as two audio options: lossless stereo and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround sound.

The Limited Edition comes with a reversible sleeve and cover art: One side has the original theatrical poster, while the other (shown above) is a brand-new illustration exclusive to this edition–it looks awesome. You’ll also find an illustrated booklet with commentary from Neil Sinyard, original production notes, and multiple articles on the movie that originally appeared in American Cinematographer.

In addition to the premium packaging and physical extras, Lost in Space has a bunch of on-disc bonus content, including new interviews and archival featurettes from past Blu-ray and DVD editions. You can check out the full list of Lost in Space Limited Edition features below.

Lost in Space Limited Edition 4K Blu-ray (Arrow Video)

Lost in Space cleverly adapted elements from the TV show and tweaked them for the big screen. The film retains core premise of the TV series–which sees the Robinson family flung to a distant galaxy thanks to the machinations of Gary Oldman’s traitorous Dr. Zachary Smith–and adds new story elements groundbreaking visual effects at the time. Lost in Space stars an ensemble cast that includes William Hurt, Mimi Rogers, Matt LeBlanc, and Heather Graham. This was a big movie for New Line Cinema at the time it premiered, marking a pivot from the studio’s history of producing low-budget horror films and well-received indie films and into box office blockbusters.

New & Upcoming Arrow Video Limited Edition 4K Blu-rays

Arrow Video has multiple other exciting releases on the horizon, including 4K restorations of the 1997 superhero movie Spawn and a bunch of horror movies. Some of the highlights: Creepshow 2, the 2003 remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, John Carpenter’s In the Mouth of Madness, and Ringu, the 1998 Japanese film that was remade in North America as The Ring.

All of the movies listed below are Limited Edition 4K Blu-rays. We’ve organized the list by release date.

Mortal Kombat Movie Limited Edition Steelbook Preorders Drop To $30

by admin August 22, 2025

The 2021 Mortal Kombat movie is getting a new collectible 4K Blu-ray ahead of the sequel’s theatrical release this October. Fans can preorder Mortal Kombat Limited Edition Steelbook for $30 at Amazon, Walmart, or Gruv. The new edition launches October 7, just in time for a rewatch before heading to the theater for Mortal Kombat II on October 24. In the meantime, you can add to your Blu-ray collection by grabbing the other live-action and animated Mortal Kombat adaptations for cheap.

$30 (was $35) | Releases October 7

The Limited Edition Steelbook has a brand-new cover featuring Scorpion’s iconic mask on the front and his deadly kunai on the back. Inside, the cover features a still from the movie of Sub-Zero as he prepares an ice-dagger weapon. The film is presented in upscaled 4K resolution and supports HDR10. For audio, there are multiple Dolby surround sound options, including Atmos, TrueHD 7.1, and Digital 5.1.

Bonus materials aren’t listed for this release, but it’s possible that the special features from earlier Blu-ray releases are omitted here. The 2021 4K release included a 1080p Blu-ray with bonus content, but the Limited Edition Steelbook only comes with the one 4K disc.

The Steelbook Edition does come with a voucher to claim the digital version of Mortal Kombat. As an added bonus, it’s eligible for Movies Anywhere, so you can download/stream the film on a wide variety of apps and devices.

The 2021 reboot is a brutal adaptation of the iconic fighting game series. It faithfully brings the fantastical story of the games into the real world, pitting fan-favorite characters like Kung Lao, Liu Kang, Sonya Blade, and newcomer Cole Young against Shang Tsung and his sinister forces.

Mortal Kombat

Mortal Kombat has had a long history on the big and small screen, and you can relive it through various Blu-rays currently available for sale. The original and wonderfully cheesy 1995 film is still a treat and on sale for under $10, the terrible sequel Mortal Kombat Annihilation remains laughably bad. There’s also Mortal Kombat Legacy, the live-action web-series that ran for two seasons and took a big step in the right direction. You can get both of the ’90s live-action films and Legacy Season 1 for only $11 on Blu-ray thanks to the Mortal Kombat Triple Feature.

Mortal Kombat Live-Action Movies:

Mortal Komba Legends Animated Movies:

Mortal Kombat Legends animated movies

On the animated side, the recent Mortal Kombat Legends series treated fans to four pretty awesome films, each of which focused on a popular fighter from the games. Each film is savage and doesn’t shy away from painting the screen red during the impressive kombat sequences. All four Mortal Kombat Legends movies are available on 4K Blu-ray and 1080p Blu-ray for cheap.

  • Scorpion’s Revenge (2020)
  • Battle of the Realms (2021)
  • Snow Blind (2022)
  • Cage Match (2023)

Along with the upcoming sequel, Mortal Kombat fans have an exciting retro game collection to look forward to. Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection launches December 12 on consoles and PC. Preorders opened earlier this month; check out our Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection preorder guide for up-to-date details on the games included, bonuses, editions, and more.
