UXLINK passes smart contract audit ahead of token migration

by admin September 24, 2025

UXLINK has finalized a new smart contract audit as it prepares for a token migration following a recent exploit that allowed the hacker to mint tokens.

Summary

  • UXLINK audit confirms new fixed-supply token contract.
  • Hack on Sept. 22 drained $11.3M and minted billions in UXLINK tokens.
  • Attacker later fell victim to phishing attack, losing 542M UXLINK tokens.

UXLINK has passed a security audit for its redesigned token contract and is preparing for a migration following a multi-sig breach that drained millions and led to mass unauthorized minting.

The UXLINK (UXLINK) team posted the update on X on Sept. 24, stating that the new Ethereum (ETH) contract had passed its audit and would be deployed on the mainnet as part of an emergency token-swap plan.

The team said it has removed the mint–burn function, will keep the UXLINK ticker for continuity, and is submitting migration details to centralized exchanges. It also plans to respond to an inquiry by Korea’s Digital Asset eXchange Association today.

Security Notice – Update 5

We would like to share the latest progress on the UXLINK token migration:

1. The new UXLINK smart contract has successfully passed its security audit.
2. The contract will be deployed on the Ethereum mainnet. The contract dropped the mint-burn…

What the audit fixes and how the migration will work

The audited contract sets a fixed supply and drops on-chain minting to prevent repeat exploits. UXLINK said cross-chain interoperability will rely on partner services rather than a native mint function.

The migration plan is meant to realign supply with the project’s whitepaper and to restore confidence after the compromise. Centralized exchanges have been briefed and most have pledged support or temporary suspensions while the swap is coordinated.

More on UXLINK exploit

On Sept. 22 attackers used a “delegateCall” vulnerability to seize admin rights over UXLINK’s multi-signature wallet. That allowed transfers of roughly $11.3 million in assets, including stablecoins, ETH, and WBTC, and enabled the attacker to mint between 1 and 2 billion UXLINK tokens on Arbitrum.

About 490 million of those tokens were dumped on decentralized exchanges, bridged to Ethereum, and swapped for roughly 6,732 ETH, according to chain analysis. The minting and sell-off pushed UXLINK down more than 70%, from about $0.30 to roughly $0.09.

Security firms and exchanges moved quickly. PeckShield joined the probe, and major CEXs including Upbit froze suspect deposits, limiting further laundering. Law enforcement has been notified and recovery procedures are active.

UXLINK attacker falls victim to phishing scam

In an unexpected twist, the attacker was later phished. ScamSniffer and on-chain investigators flagged a subsequent approval-based drain that moved roughly 542 million UXLINK to phishing wallets tied to the Inferno Drainer network. One large transfer totaled 433,583,532 UXLINK.

That siphon reduced the exploiter’s usable holdings, though the attacker still realized substantial proceeds.

UXLINK says frozen addresses are under recovery procedures and that community losses will be handled with transparency and compensation. The audited contract and migration are the next steps in that effort. The team urged users to follow only official channels for migration instructions.

Skate Passes 2 Million Players As Dev Fixes A Major Issue

by admin September 18, 2025

A lot of people have played EA’s new Skate game since it launched on September 16. How many? According to the developers, the new Skate–the first in 15 years–reached more than 2 million players in its first 24 hours.

“Beyond stoked”

“We’re beyond stoked to welcome everyone to San Vansterdam! Thanks for your patience as we flex our servers to keep up with all the hype. Keep riding and we’ll see you out there!” the developer said.

Skate is a free-to-play game that’s available in early access across PC and console (and coming to iOS and Android later). There is no Switch 2 version.

While the game is free, EA is selling a Founder’s Pack ($25) and a Founder’s Pack Deluxe ($50) that include a variety of extras. Some early-access games raise prices when they reach 1.0, but when Skate’s 1.0 release comes in about a year, the game will remain free, EA has said.

Major issue fixed

Beyond the launch-day server struggles for Skate, one of the issues that players called out was a “soft lock” bug that prevented players from progressing beyond certain parts in the game. Many people were impacted by this issue, and developer Full Circle has now addressed it.

If you’re just getting started with the new Skate, check out the gallery below that covers a few things you need to know before dropping in.

Controversial shooter Ready or Not passes 13m copies sold across platforms

by admin September 8, 2025

Controversial and violent shooter Ready or Not has now sold over 13m copies across platforms.

In a press release, developer Void Interactive added that its game – which was released on both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in July of this year, following a spell of PC exclusivity – has sold over 3m copies on consoles. That means Ready or Not has sold over 2m copies on consoles in under two months.

Ready or Not initially released in early access back in 2021, and soon after this Void Interactive said it had parted ways with publisher Team17.

Earlier this year, Void Interactive said that Ready or Not’s console port needed changes “as absolutely required by our first party partners” before it could be released on Xbox and PlayStation. This included tweaks to dismemberment and gore, nudity, mistreatment of children, and “explicit representations of violence”. This move ignited a certain amount of backlash from the game’s community, with some leaving negative Steam reviews citing “content censorship”.

Void Interactive sought to quell these concerns soon after, stating it had seen “misconceptions and misinformation circulating around the scope of these changes”.

This is a news-in-brief story. This is part of our vision to bring you all the big news as part of a daily live report.

Solana’s Alpenglow upgrade vote passes with 98% approval

by admin September 3, 2025

The Solana community has approved Alpenglow, a highly anticipated upgrade designed to ramp up the blockchain network’s scalability.

Summary

  • Solana community has passed the governance vote for Alpenglow upgrade with 98.27% in favor.
  • Alpenglow is a consensus mechanism upgrade that will slash transaction finality from 12 seconds to 150ms.

Solana (SOL) stakers approved with over 98% of the vote the governance proposal dubbed Alpenglow, with the historic move setting in motion the journey towards a consensus algorithm overhaul for the network.

According to Solana Status, the community greenlit the Alpenglow proposal with 98.27% of the vote.

Onchain data show only 1.05% of the votes were against, while 0.69% abstained. In total, 52% of stake participated in the vote.

The community governance process for SIMD-0326: Alpenglow is complete. The proposal has passed:
98.27% voted Yes
1.05% voted No
0.69% voted Abstain
52% of stake cast a vote

More about Alpenglow

The proposal, SIMD 326, has attracted a lot of bullish sentiment from ecosystem participants.

Mainly, it’s down to Alpenglow’s key technical feature – a consensus mechanism aimed at bringing a 100x speed boost to transaction processing on Solana. If implemented, the upgrade will see Solana’s transaction latency drop from 12 seconds to 150ms.

Alpenglow seeks to achieve this via two consensus aspects – Votor and Rotor.

These will replace the current Proof-of-History and Tower Byzantine Fault Tolerance, or TowerBFT. On the Solana network, Proof-of-History allows for timestamping of transactions to ensure blockchain security and efficiency, while TowerBFT powers the validator process.

The Alpenglow upgrade will activate Votor to slash transaction finality times, replacing TowerBFT. Meanwhile, Rotor is set to replace PoH’s timestamping system, implementing a new data dissemination model that drastically cuts the time nodes take to agree on network status.

Anza, a Solana-focused development firm, unveiled the proposal in May 2025.

While a timeline for mainnet rollout is yet to be announced, the expectation is that as a major protocol upgrade, Alpenglow will catapult Solana to the next level of adoption across payments, trading, and gaming, among other use cases.
