Trails In The Sky 1st Chapter Switch 2 Upgrade Pack Is One Whole Dollar

by admin August 21, 2025

The upcoming remake of The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky is getting a Nintendo Switch 2 edition. Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter’s Switch 2 edition is a digital-only release, but the Switch physical edition can be upgraded to Switch 2 for one whole dollar. Preorders for the physical edition of Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter are available for PS5 and Nintendo Switch. The highly anticipated turn-based RPG launches September 19 for $60.

Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter features entirely overhauled 3D visuals, new voice acting, turn-based and real-time battle systems, and a bunch of new side quests and regions. Widely regarded as one of the best entries in Nihon Falcom’s sprawling catalog of Trails games, Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter should be the ideal entry point for newcomers and a welcome treat for longtime fans.

$60 | Releases September 19

Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter’s physical edition is up for preorder at Amazon, Walmart, Target, and Best Buy.

As mentioned, the Nintendo Switch 2 edition is only available on the eShop, but Switch owners can upgrade their copy–physical or digital–for only $1. The Switch 2 edition has higher resolution and frame rates as well as faster load times.

If you’re unsure if you want to preorder the remake, we’d recommend checking out Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter’s Prologue Demo, which released August 21. The demo is available to play now on PlayStation 5 and PC, and the Switch version should be downloadable soon. The progress you make in the demo can be transferred to the full game.

Returning players will probably be happy to learn the remake could take twice as long to beat. In an interview with the Japanese gaming publication Gamer, Nihon Falcom president Toshihiro Kondo discussed how the 3D game world, new voice acting, and other updates naturally add to the game’s length. Playthrough times for Trails games can vary significantly from one player to the next, but if it took you 40 hours to complete the original, it might take you closer to 80 in the remake.

Trails in the Sky originally released on PC in Japan in 2004. The English localization debuted on PlayStation Portable in 2006. Subsequent ports and enhanced editions for PS3 and Vita were exclusive to Japan. A worldwide Steam port released in 2014, and this edition is still sold today (for $20). For reference, Trails in the Sky has a “Very Positive” review average based on over 6,000 Steam reviews.

Nihon Falcom’s Legend of Heroes franchise dates back to 1989, but the 2004 release of Trails in the Sky marked the beginning of the modern “Trails” series. More than a dozen Trails games have been released over the past 20 years. While there are numerous arcs within the Trails series–Trails of Cold Steel, Trails through Daybreak, etc.–playing Trails in the Sky and its two sequels is highly recommended to fully appreciate the franchise’s excellent worldbuilding and lore.

Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter

Trails in the Sky follows adoptive siblings Joshua and Estelle Bright, who join the Bracers peacekeeping organization. They’re soon caught up in an international conspiracy and must join forces with various other characters to thwart a deadly coup. Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter was made in the same engine as the Trails through Daybreak duology. And just like the Daybreak games, the remake pairs the franchise’s traditional turn-based combat system with real-time action gameplay.

The next all-new entry in the series, Trails Beyond the Horizon, is scheduled for January 15, 2026. Preorders are available for PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Switch 2. Like many Nihon Falcom games, the $60 Deluxe Edition of Trails Beyond the Horizon will be bundled with multiple goodies (an art book and digital soundtrack).

If you want to check out more Trails games, GameSpot sister site Fanatical has deals on a bunch of them for PC (Steam keys). Fanatical is also offering discounts on multiple games in the Ys series, Nihon Falcom’s long-running action-RPG franchise. Unlike the Trails series, Ys games largely standalone experiences, so you can play them in any order.

Nihon Falcom Games – Physical Editions

Trails through Daybreak II

We also rounded up a list of physical editions for PlayStation and Nintendo consoles that you can still buy for near MSRP or below.

Notable deals include Trails through Daybreak II: Deluxe Edition for PS5 and Nintendo Switch for $35 (was $60). Daybreak II released earlier this year, and this is by far the best price so far. You can also save big on Ys X: Nordics for PS4 or Nintendo Switch. Over at Amazon, Tokyo Xanadu eX+ for Nintendo Switch is up for grabs for $33 (was $50). Tokyo Xanadu isn’t related to Ys or Trails, but it’s an action-RPG that fans of both series would likely enjoy. Keep in mind that Nihon Falcom games generally don’t stay in print for long, and resellers often sell Trails games for far above MSRP.

Why PEPETO is leading the pack among today’s crypto coins

by admin August 17, 2025

Disclosure: This article does not represent investment advice. The content and materials featured on this page are for educational purposes only.

PEPETO emerges as a top crypto pick, blending memecoin hype with real blockchain utility for 2025.

Summary

  • PEPETO presale offers memecoin with utility, 244% APY, and viral potential.
  • It has already raised 6m, and early investors can join PEPETO at $0.000000147.
  • PEPETO merges meme culture with PepetoSwap, PepetoBridge, and fair tokenomics.

When choosing the best cryptocurrency to invest in today, timing and entry price are critical. With Bitcoin’s halving in the rearview and bullish sentiment building, investors are looking for projects that combine strong fundamentals, active user bases, and clear growth potential.

Long-established projects like Cardano (ADA) and Solana (SOL) have their strengths, while newcomers like Hyperliquid (HLP) are introducing unique ideas to DeFi. Yet one project is stealing the spotlight, PEPETO (PEPETO), a fast-growing memecoin that pairs viral appeal with genuine blockchain utility.

PEPETO: Where meme culture meets real utility

PEPETO is standing out as one of the most promising opportunities for 2025 by rewarding presale buyers before launch. Tokens are available at just $0.000000147, with no complicated sign-ups or staking requirements to participate.

The project has already raised over $6 million and offers staking at 244% APY, making it attractive for both early entry and yield seekers. Known as the “God of Frogs” and rumored to have connections to a former PEPE co-founder, Pepeto merges meme culture with practical tools such as PepetoSwap (a zero-fee exchange) and PepetoBridge (secure cross-chain transfers).

Its tokenomics favor the community with no trading tax, no team wallets, and third-party audits from Coinsult and SolidProof. Many analysts suggest Pepeto could be a life-changing play for early backers, similar to the early days of Dogecoin and Shiba Inu.

Cardano: Secure but slow-moving

Cardano‘s research-driven model emphasizes scalability and security, earning it a strong reputation. The rollout of smart contracts has expanded its capabilities, and the project maintains a large, loyal community.

However, its slower development pace has caused it to miss faster-moving trends, making it more suited for long-term holders than traders seeking quick gains.

Solana: Speed comes with risk

Solana has built its brand on lightning-fast, low-cost transactions, fueling growth in NFTs, DeFi projects, and token launches. Recent memecoin activity has brought renewed interest from retail traders, and institutional attention is also on the rise.

However, Solana’s history of major network outages has raised concerns about its reliability. The chain’s reputation for short-lived pump-and-dump tokens adds to its volatility, potentially deterring serious capital. With heavy competition from other high-speed chains, questions remain about the sustainability of its growth beyond short-term hype cycles.

Hyperliquid: New ideas, early stage

Hyperliquid is an emerging name in decentralized trading, promoting zero-gas transactions and an on-chain matching engine. While the technology has promise, the platform is still in its early growth phase with limited adoption, and it faces strong competition from established players like dYdX and GMX. Its token, HLP, remains speculative, with value depending heavily on future user adoption that hasn’t yet been proven. In contrast, Pepeto is already building momentum with a large and engaged presale community.

Final verdict

In the crypto market, early positioning can make all the difference. Pepeto offers more than just hype it combines the viral power of memecoins with audited products, fair tokenomics, and utility available from day one. While Cardano and Solana have already seen much of their growth priced in, and Hyperliquid is still proving itself, Pepeto presents a rare chance to buy in at $0.000000147 with over $6 million raised and 244% APY staking live before launch.

For those who recall the breakout runs of Dogecoin and Shiba Inu, Pepeto’s presale could be the next high-risk, high-reward play with the potential to change fortunes.

Samsung 25W 10,000mAh Wireless Battery Pack review: a sleek and capable power bank, but it might not offer the best value

Samsung 25W 10,000mAh Wireless Battery Pack: review

The Samsung 25W 10,000mAh Wireless Battery Pack is a power bank designed for charging Galaxy and other small devices.

It has quite a sleek design with an organic-looking finish, emphasized by the beige colorway of my unit, which is mottled for a pebble-like appearance. It also feels quite solid, although there is some flexing to the panels, so it isn’t the most rugged power bank around.

However, it’s pleasingly thin and light, and combined with the rounded edges at one end, this makes the Samsung 25W 10,000mAh Wireless Battery Pack relatively easy to carry around. However, it’s quite long, even for a wireless power bank, and many of the best power banks with similar power and capacity specs are smaller than this.

What also mars its seamless design is the hump of the wireless charging pad, although its soft material offers extra cushioning and grip for your device, and seems quite resistant to tears and scratches.

There’s no real interface to speak of on the Samsung 25W 10,000mAh Wireless Battery Pack. It features a single power button and five LED dots: one indicating charging activity and the other four representing battery life. These are placed at the end of the unit, next to the USB ports, and are large and bright enough to be seen clearly.

The wireless charging feature is capable of outputting 7.5W of power. It also features two USB-C ports, both of which serve as inputs and outputs. These offer Super Fast Charging, providing 25W of output power each when charging a single device.

Three-way charging is also supported when using both ports and the wireless pad, although the power output drops to 7.5W for all outputs in such cases. It’s also a shame that while charging, the battery life indicators don’t remain lit, so you can’t tell how much battery the Samsung 25W 10,000mAh Wireless Battery Pack has left without pressing the power button first, which is somewhat inconvenient.

It managed to wirelessly charge a Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus, which has a 4,755mAh battery, from empty to full in about three and a half hours, which is quite a good performance. In the process, the Samsung 25W 10,000mAh Wireless Battery Pack lost all but one of its LED dots, indicating that it had between 5-20% left in reserve.

This is somewhat disappointing, since it means you’ll only get one full wireless charge out of it. What’s more, charging the bank itself from empty to full took over three hours, which isn’t particularly fast; other 10K power banks are faster at charging themselves than this.

The Samsung 25W 10,000mAh Wireless Battery Pack is reasonably priced considering its wireless charging capability and the inclusion of two USB-C ports for additional charging. However, there are other wireless chargers out there with smaller form factors that perform just as well, such as the Anker MagGo Power Bank (10K), which even includes a handy flip stand for propping up your phone.

Pick up the Left 4 Dead games for cheaper than a pack of gum in the new Steam sale that’s all about zombies, and also vampires

by admin May 27, 2025

Ready for Halloween, but a little miffed it’s so far off? Well, Steam’s got you covered. There’s plenty of blood, guts, and ghoulies waiting for you in the Zombies vs. Vampires Fest active through June 2.

That might sound a little narrow if you consider the full scope of things, but zombies are such a quintessentially videogame archetype that you’ll find all sorts of games about them. Vampires are less ubiquitous, but it’s nice to have them grandfathered in here instead of in their own hyper-specific sale like that one about pushing boxes.

Heavy-hitting blockbusters like The Last of Us, Dying Light 2, and Telltale’s The Walking Dead take a narrative posture, if you’re one of those types that likes a zombie story which is really about humans and how we act in bad situations.

Maybe you’re like me, though, and you just like shooting a bunch of monsters with a big ol’ machine gun. In that case, you really should pick up games like all-time horde shooter Left 4 Dead 2 (which is currently going for less than a dollar) and Killing Floor 2, which I guess is technically about clones rather than the undead, but I won’t tell if you don’t. The original L4D is on for just $1 in the new sale too.

As far as the bloodsuckers are concerned, plenty of V Rising bundles are on sale; it’s one of the best survival games around, even if you aren’t into all the fangs. A personal favorite of mine is Evil West, a Xbox 360-style beat ’em up where you blast apart gargoyles as a ludicrously buff version of Van Helsing. If you need a sheerer shot of adrenaline, maybe give the bullet hell antics Vampire Survivors a look.

A lot of classics are notably not on sale—no Castlevania, no Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines—but there’s still plenty to dive into. The sale is live through June 2 at 10 am PT on Steam.

Keep up to date with the most important stories and the best deals, as picked by the PC Gamer team.
