Ethereum Whale Buying Mirrors 2017 Trend, ETH Price Boom Ahead?

by admin June 17, 2025

Ethereum is seeing its biggest whale accumulation in seven years, with large holders buying massive amounts of ETH. On June 12, 2025, wallets holding between 1,000 and 10,000 ETH added more than 871,000 ETH in a single day.

This is the highest daily inflow of whales this year and the largest since 2017. For almost a week, daily whale inflows have topped 800,000 ETH, pushing their total holdings to over 14.3 million ETH.

According to data from Glassnode, these wallets now control 27% of Ethereum’s supply. Also, this buying trend has ended a months-long slowdown in whale activity. Despite ETH’s price staying flat, large investors seem to be preparing for something big.

Analysts say whales are likely positioning ahead of major events in the Ethereum ecosystem. Possible reasons include upcoming upgrades, rising adoption of Ethereum for real-world assets, and growing interest in crypto from institutions.

This scale of buying hasn’t been seen since 2017.” Glassnode noted. The spike in accumulation also mirrors trends seen before earlier bull runs.

Currently, Ethereum is holding up around $2,548. It has failed to break past $2,700 several times, making the zone a strong resistance zone.

On the Daily chart via TradingView, ETH has been moving sideways since May 11, with rejections coming from the bulls and bears. The Relative Strength Index RSI is at 54, which means the momentum is weak and neither of the parties is controlling the market. However, the 1-hour chart is showing signs of selling pressure after a recent break of structure to the upside. Still, whales continue to buy.

At the same time, Ethereum staking is reaching new highs. More than 35 million ETH is now staked, according to CryptoQuant and Onchain School. Accumulation addresses, majorly wallets that have never sold,  are also at an all-time high, holding 22.8 million ETH. This shows that many holders are in it for the long run.

Additionally, activity on Ethereum’s Layer 2 networks is rising too. USDC transfers on Arbitrum and Optimism have grown fast. Ethereum Name Service (ENS) whale transactions spiked 313.5% in the second week of June. Lending protocols also saw a 203.8% jump in whale activity.

Wazirx Bitgo Partnership: Security Boost Or Just Smoke &Amp; Mirrors?

Security Boost or Just Smoke & Mirrors?

by admin June 2, 2025

After months of uncertainty, WazirX has announced a partnership with BitGo, a US-based digital asset custodian, in what the exchange calls a “foundational step” towards restarting operations. The collaboration is being promoted as part of WazirX’s renewed commitment to security, transparency, and trust.

BitGo is a trusted name in crypto security that’s been around for a long time. Many major financial firms and exchanges rely on them to keep money safe. WazirX partnered with BitGo to give users better protection for their funds.

In its official blog, WazirX stated that this move is more than symbolic. It’s an attempt to rebuild the exchange from the ground up, putting user safety at the core of its relaunch plans. The platform says it’s not relying on words this time, but “meaningful action.”

But for over 4.4 million users, that action still hasn’t taken the shape they’ve been waiting for: access to their funds.

On May 13, WazirX appeared in a Singapore court to seek approval for its moratorium extension. The court didn’t give an immediate green light. Instead, it requested that WazirX file another affidavit and rescheduled the next hearing for June 6, 2025. That affidavit was submitted, but since then, there’s been complete silence on what comes next.

Even in the announcement about the BitGo partnership, there was no mention of timelines for fund withdrawals. The word “safety” was used repeatedly, but it raised more questions than answers. What good is safety if the assets are still inaccessible?

Nischal Shetty, the founder of WazirX, said, “User trust and fund safety are our utmost priorities.”

He also added, “By partnering with BitGo, we are taking a decisive step towards rebuilding confidence in WazirX. Their expertise will not only enhance the security of funds but also facilitate a transparent and efficient process for distributing funds to creditors.”

Social media platforms, especially Twitter, which once a hub for WazirX’s real-time updates, remained silent on the development. No tweet accompanied the blog post. No clarification came from the founder. For many users, this silence continues to feel deliberate.

The frustration is compounded by the fact that the partnership comes at a time when users are still left guessing. BitGo may bring credibility and better security to the table, but that doesn’t answer the question millions have been asking for months: when will users get their money back?

Trust and safety are just words if there’s no real update or action to back them up. People want straight answers, not just words. With India about to roll out crypto rules in June 2025, WazirX can’t keep dodging the tough stuff. The real issue? Users still can’t access their money. That’s what needs fixing.

There’s growing anticipation around how exchanges will fit into the regulated ecosystem. Yet, for WazirX, once one of the most dominant players in India, the future still feels stuck in limbo.

The BitGo partnership might prove critical in regaining operational integrity. But as things stand today, it only addresses one part of the problem: security. The larger issue, user access, clarity, and communication, remains unresolved.

And for millions affected, silence isn’t security. Silence is the opposite of trust.

Hyperliquid's Solana moment is near as HYPE mirrors SOL-like 300% rally structure

Hyperliquid’s Solana moment is near as HYPE mirrors SOL-like 300% rally structure

by admin May 25, 2025

Key takeaways:

  • HYPE is mirroring Solana’s 2021 breakout structure, targeting a 240% rally by July.

  • Familiar crypto fractals suggest HYPE could spark similar momentum-driven hype.

Hyperliquid’s native token, HYPE, is mirroring a strikingly similar price structure to Solana’s (SOL) early 2021 breakout—one that preceded a 300% rally.

HYPE chart fractal targets 240% rally by July

In January 2021, Solana broke out from a prolonged consolidation phase just as marketwide interest began accelerating.

The breakout, highlighted by a decisive flip above key Fibonacci retracement levels, triggered a vertical rally that saw SOL jump to the 4.618 Fib retracement line at around $19 from roughly $4.90 in under two months, marking a 291% surge.

Fast forward to May 2025, HYPE’s daily chart is showing the same bullish structure following its 270% rebound from $10 lows in April, aligning with its 0.0 Fibonacci retracement line.

On May 23, HYPE broke above its 1.0 Fibonacci retracement level (~$35.88), echoing the early stages of SOL’s explosive run in 2021.

Moreover, the relative strength index (RSI) for HYPE has entered deeply overbought territory (above 84), which, while suggesting caution in the short term, also underscores the strength of the current momentum, much like Solana’s RSI profile during its 2021 breakout.

If HYPE continues to follow this fractal, the 1.618 Fibonacci extension level near $51.68 appears to be the next logical target. Beyond that, the 4.618 level at around $128 could mark the peak of this potential rally, a 240% move from its recent breakout zone near $35.

Hyperliquid is like Solana and FTX combined — analyst

Popular analyst and commentator Ansem highlights that Hyperliquid’s vision is very similar to what Solana and FTX aimed to build during their early partnership: a high-performance, low-cost crypto trading experience.

He argues that, unlike FTX’s centralized architecture, Hyperliquid is fully onchain.

Source: X/Ansem

Nearly 97% of all trading revenue goes directly back to HYPE tokenholders, Ansem noted, adding that such fundamentals will assist the Hyperliquid token to reach “all-time highs soon.”

Psychologically, traders are often drawn to familiar and previously successful patterns.

In 2017, Ether (ETH) mirrored Bitcoin’s (BTC) 2013 arc almost identically, from the parabolic blow-off top to the retracement and range-bound recovery phase.

When traders recognize that HYPE could be repeating Solana’s 2021 trajectory visually and fundamentally, it may reinforce bullish conviction and draw in speculators hoping to catch the next “Solana” moment.

New Game of the Week: Rooftops & Alleys brings back the joy of Mirror’s Edge-style parkour

by admin May 22, 2025

Parkour-focused games like Mirror’s Edge and Free Running have all but vanished – but solo indie developer Michel Losch wants to bring them back. His upcoming title, Rooftops & Alleys, aims to revive the genre, handing players full control to flow through urban landscapes with style and freedom.

Parkour once had a real moment in pop culture. From Jason Bourne and James Bond thrilling moviegoers with high-octane on-foot pursuits, to the likes of Assassin’s Creed and Mirror’s Edge bringing the experience to the comfort of your couch, it was everywhere. In recent years though, it’s been pushed to the background. Instead of being the core of the experience, it’s often tacked on, buried in larger creations.

On the gaming front, Assassin’s Creed or Dying Light come to mind, as games where movement is important, but it’s mostly automated: just hold a direction and tap a button. It’s been a long time since players had real agency – and consequences – for how they move.

Finally bringing it back into the spotlight, Michel Losch is hoping to reinvigorate that sense of joy when flowing through construction yards and modern metropolises, tricking your way from one surface to the next as quickly as possible. Here’s how Rooftops & Alleys is restoring the fun.

What is Rooftops & Alleys?

Parkour is ostensibly about getting from Point A to Point B in as little time as possible. That could mean vaulting over a ledge, jumping across a gap, or sliding down a slanted surface to get there. Meanwhile, freerunning is about adding some flair to the movement. Flipping, spinning, and generally tricking along a path to really show off.

Rooftops & Alleys mixes them both. You’ll be sprinting through maps in the most stylish ways possible for extra points in a bid to outclass your friends. It’s not just about the destination, but the fun of the journey.

Some challenges are on a timer, demanding you reach an area as quickly as possible, passing through all the right checkpoints along the way. An on-foot race with only your technical skill standing in the way of a gold medal.

Others will ask for high scores on tricky lines, forcing you and your crew to think outside the box on how you’re going to approach a certain obstacle. Is flipping over it the coolest way to make it past? Or would latching onto it and then flipping off give you a bigger multiplier? Much like how you mastered levels in Tony Hawk’s games, you’ll need to put some work in to master the stages here as well.

There’s even a tag mode that’s non-stop fun as you chase and evade friends with all the dazzling tricks you’ve learned thus far.

ML Media / Radical TheoryThe world is your freerunning oyster in Rooftops & Alleys.

What the devs say about it

What were your inspirations?

“As far as the idea goes, I can’t really say I’ve been practicing parkour professionally! But I always found it cool whenever I saw it in movies. Mostly, I took a lot of inspiration from games like Mirror’s Edge, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, Skate, as well as Freerunning on PS2. So many games that fell into it.

“I like freedom, and I like creative expression in games. I always like getting into a flow state with a game. I was missing something where I could just jump and be able to frontflip, trick, I felt something so satisfying in that. I always wanted to make something like that.

“I have inhaled parkour for the last two years. Just tried to fill my brain with reference footage basically.

“I’ve never talked about this, but I tried to take an approach where I looked at other sports too. I found out about Death Diving, which has nothing to do with parkour. I wanted to add more tricks, so I’ve added some from the sport of Death Diving, diving in general, seeing how I can merge something in what I call a parkour and freerunning game.”

How realistic is it?

“I never forgot Jet Set Radio Future. There’s a choice of how realistic vs how arcadey, usually people tend to go a bit more realistic. I just wanted something really snappy and responsive, which I knew from the get-go I wouldn’t be able to make this fully momentum or physics-based. I took heavy inspiration from Jet Set and more arcadey games for that reason.”

ML Media / Radical TheoryWhile not veering completely into the unreal, Rooftops & Alleys harkens back to an old-school arcade game feel.

“Whether you practice parkour or you see it on TV, you just want to do cool stuff. I tried to maintain a somewhat realistic fall distance. I’m trying to get the measurements sort of right.”

Article continues after ad

What do people want from a Parkour game?

“Usually, the shortcomings are the lack of control. I think what people need to understand, I often got comments like ‘this is what Assassin’s Creed should be,’ it proved to me there was an urge for more control and expression.

“But also, I think I have an easier time giving players more control because I do not have to hand them a gun or have them drive a car. I have more buttons to play with. There have been requests to add a grappling hook, but I had to stay strong.”

What’s on the horizon?

“Photo Mode is coming. There are some things I’ve teased. There’s definitely more to it than meets the eye. There are some very fun and goofy achievements that people may not see coming. I’ve also put references to some community members in the 1.0 build.

Article continues after ad

“Thus far [through Early Access] I’ve had 30 updates. I plan to continue doing that. I’m already working on post-launch content. I don’t want to spoil it, but there are some really cool and exciting things. Some of which people have been asking for, but some that will come out of nowhere. I’m trying to keep it fresh.”

Rooftops & Alleys is set to launch in full across PS5, Xbox Series X | S, and PC (through Steam) on June 17, 2025.
