Solana Surges Again as Galaxy Digital Buys Over $700 Million in SOL

by admin September 13, 2025

In brief

  • Galaxy Digital has purchased more than $700 million worth of Solana since Wednesday, on-chain data shows.
  • The buys are likely tied to Galaxy’s backing of Forward Industries, poised to be the largest Solana treasury firm.
  • Solana hit its highest price since January on Friday, topping $241 and rising 19% in the last week.

Investment firm Galaxy Digital has purchased over $700 million in Solana within the past two days, as part of its investment in SOL treasury firm Forward Industries. And the price of Solana has continued to rise, all the while.

Galaxy has been transferring SOL mostly from Binance—and also from Coinbase—across multiple transactions, with data from Arkham Intelligence indicating that it has bought just over 3 million SOL since Wednesday.

The asset manager may be making these purchases on behalf of Forward Industries, in which it has led a $1.65 billion investment, with participation from Jump Crypto and Multicoin Capital.

Incorporated in 1961, Forward is a Nasdaq-listed product design company that’s using the proceeds of this week’s raise to build what will be the world’s largest publicly traded Solana treasury, with Galaxy responsible for acquiring and transferring the bulk of the SOL.

Galaxy’s collaboration with the firm comes as it takes a keener interest in Solana, which it described as “uniquely positioned to power the next generation of capital markets” in a tweet announcing its investment.

Galaxy founder and CEO Mike Novogratz also discussed the merits of Solana in an interview with CNBC’s Squawk Box on Thursday, declaring that Solana’s blockchain can process “14 billion transactions” per day.

Summarizing why Galaxy is excited about Solana, he said, “You’ve got a blockchain that’s now fast enough, tailor-made to be the blockchain for financial markets.”

He then referred to remarks made by SEC Chair Paul Atkins, who on Wednesday gave a keynote speech in which he discussed the agency’s Project Crypto push—its “sweeping initiative” to encourage “our markets to move on-chain.”

And because of the alignment of these two factors, Novogratz affirmed that he’s calling the current period “the season of SOL.”

This belief in Solana is reflected in the sheer size of Forward Industries’ $1.65 billion raise, in which Galaxy has taken a leading role. And such belief may ultimately have a snowball effect, with Solflare co-CEO and co-founder Vidor Gencel telling Decrypt that it’s a “clear signal” of institutional conviction in Solana.

“Nearly triple the size of the largest existing Solana treasury, this move marks one of the largest institutional bets on Solana to date, underscoring growing confidence among traditional companies in SOL’s long-term value—and we are already seeing the market position ahead of potential inflows,” he said.

Solana is currently up by 6% in the past 24 hours, rising above $241 for the first time since January on the back of Forward’s announcement of its completed $1.65 billion raise. SOL has risen by nearly 19% over the last week, making it the second-biggest gainer among the top 10 assets by market cap, behind Dogecoin.

According to Gencel, Galaxy’s focus on Solana is a sign that SOL is now being “seriously considered” as a treasury asset for institutions, whereas only Bitcoin and Ethereum had been major contenders.

Other industry figures agree that Galaxy’s new interest in the altcoin is a strong signal to other institutions that Solana is investable at scale.

“The network is seeing record activity, DeFi TVL growth, and major ecosystem traction,” said Satraj Bambra, co-founder and CEO of trading platform Rails. “This isn’t just a trade—it’s a vote of confidence that Solana will be a core layer of the crypto economy going forward.”

This could have a big impact on SOL’s price going forward, with Bambra suggesting that Galaxy’s purchase “kicks off a flywheel.” He added that potential Solana ETFs, which are awaiting SEC approval, “could open the floodgates for new demand.”

When combined with approaching upgrades such as Firedancer—a new validator client that will boost Solana’s throughput and improve network stability—the approval of SOL ETFs could be a major catalyst.

“Near-term, I see SOL tracking flows and ETF headlines; long-term, it’s about usage growth and cementing itself as a top-3 asset,” Bambra concluded.

Gemini Sets $425 Million Cap After IPO Oversubscribed 20 Times

by admin September 12, 2025

Gemini, the crypto exchange founded by the Winklevoss twins, is preparing for a blockbuster debut on Friday with its initial public offering (IPO) already oversubscribed more than 20 times.

According to Reuters, Gemini and its bankers stopped taking new share orders on Thursday after overwhelming demand, an unusual move in IPOs that capped proceeds at $425 million.

The exchange had earlier raised its target to $433 million, increasing its listing price range to $24–$26 from the initial $17–$19. Among its backers is Nasdaq itself, which is reportedly investing $50 million as part of a strategic partnership

Figure Joins Nasdaq With Strong Debut

Gemini isn’t the only crypto player making headlines this week. Blockchain marketplace Figure Technologies also went public on Nasdaq on Thursday, with shares climbing 24.4% on the first day of trading.

The company raised $787.5 million after multiple price revisions pushed its final offering price to $25, up from the $18 floor. While Figure’s debut was strong, it didn’t match the frenzy seen around Circle and Bullish earlier this year.

Stablecoin issuer Circle raised $1 billion in its IPO, with shares jumping 167% on day one, while crypto exchange Bullish saw its stock surge by as much as 218%.

2025 Shaping Up as the Year of Crypto IPOs

Industry experts say Gemini’s hotly anticipated debut is part of a broader wave of crypto firms tapping public markets in 2025.

Bitwise, a leading crypto ETF issuer, predicted this year would be the “year of crypto IPOs.” Other major players reportedly eyeing listings include Kraken, Anchorage Digital, and Chainalysis.

With investor demand at record highs, Gemini’s listing could set the tone for another explosive season of crypto IPOs.

Ethereum: Validator Exits Post-$41 Million Hack

  • Kiln exits all of its Ethereum (ETH) validators: Details
  • Swissborg loses $41 million after third-party API attack

As part of “additional precautionary measures to safeguard client assets,” Kiln, a large-scale staking platform, is exiting Ethereum (ETH) validators. This might significantly increase the exit queue of the second-largest blockchain.

Kiln exits all of its Ethereum (ETH) validators: Details

According to the official statement shared by its team, Kiln, a multi-blockchain staking protocol, is exiting all of its Ethereum (ETH) validators. The withdrawal is organized as part of security measures following the Sept. 8, 2025, attack on its partner.

1/10 🧵 Following our announcement yesterday regarding the Solana incident involving SwissBorg, Kiln is taking additional precautionary measures to safeguard client assets across all the networks.https://t.co/ePKBaStIet

— Kiln 🧱🔥 (@Kiln_finance) September 9, 2025

Laszlo Szabo, co-founder and CEO at Kiln, explained the motivation behind the ETH validation exit for his company:

We took immediate action once we identified a potential compromise in our infrastructure. Exiting validators is the responsible step to protect stakers, and we are monitoring the process closely to ensure the security and reliability of our services.

The exact volume of Ether that was staked by Kiln — as well as the number of validator nodes it operated — remains undisclosed. At the same time, Szabo specified that the exit will take between 10 and 42 days.

Clients’ funds remain safe, the statement says.

Observers noticed that the validator exit queue added 700,000 ETH since the hack.

Swissborg loses $41 million after third-party API attack

Two days ago, on Sept. 8, 2025, Swissborg, a Kiln partner, registered a hacker attack. The malefactors used leaked API keys to access funds, including Solana (SOL) holdings.

The net volume of assets affected exceeds $41 million in equivalent. This is roughly equal to 1% of all assets under management at Swissborg.

The company has already announced plans to fully reimburse all clients whose funds have been stolen by attackers.

BitMine Adds $201 Million in ETH to Treasury via BitGo Wallet

by admin September 11, 2025

BitMine Immersion Technologies has made another major move in the crypto market, adding 46,255 Ethereum (ETH) worth $201 million to its ETH treasury. The data comes from blockchain analytics platform Onchain Lens, which cited Arkham in tracking the transaction.

According to Onchain Lens, BitMine received the funds from a BitGo wallet across three addresses. While one address was confirmed as BitMine’s, two others remain unmarked.

Bitmine (@BitMNR) has received 46,255 $ETH, valued at $201M, from #Bitgo.

They now hold a total of 2,126,018 $ETH, worth $9.24B.https://t.co/1fruGR1zWxhttps://t.co/YoyQAmK0Duhttps://t.co/1vbYSuHbap pic.twitter.com/3FeJD1QoFD

— Onchain Lens (@OnchainLens) September 11, 2025

The analytics firm said it linked those addresses to BitMine through forensic analysis and its internal algorithmic tools. However, BitMine has not yet confirmed the purchase.

BitMine Targets 5% of Ethereum Supply

If the unmarked wallets are BitMine’s, then with these transactions, it now holds 2,126,018 ETH, valued at nearly $9.3 billion. This move also aligns with the company’s goal to control 5% of Ethereum’s total supply. For now, it is the world’s largest corporate holder of ETH.

Just two days earlier, BitMine had reported that its total Ethereum holdings reached 2.069 million tokens. The timing of this new inflow further strengthens its dominant position in the Ethereum treasury race.

BitMine is not only focusing on Ethereum. On Monday, it announced a $20 million strategic investment in Eightco Holdings (OCTO) as part of a $270 million PIPE deal.

This investment backs Eightco’s plan to make Worldcoin (WLD) its primary treasury asset, showing BitMine’s wider interest in shaping the future of digital asset treasuries.

Bitmine’s Stock on the Rise

The aggressive crypto approach of BitMine has also increased investor confidence. On Wednesday, shares of BitMine (BMNR) closed up 2.24% at $45.6 on the NYSE. Over the past six months, the stock has soared 500%, reflecting confidence in its treasury expansion and bold market moves.

Having its eyes on the Ethereum leadership, BitMine remains one of the most significant actors in the crypto treasury market.

Crypto Market Prediction: Ripple’s RLUSD’s $200 Million Surge, Dogecoin’s Big $0.24 Surprise, Ethereum’s Calm Before $5,000 Storm

by admin September 11, 2025

The cryptocurrency market recovered quite well on Sept. 11, pushing new boundaries of the bearish market further and potentially making even more progress than anticipated. The surge in RLUSD volume could suggest more careful positioning, though. In our most recent market prediction, we broke down how bulls started coming back.

RLUSDT volume spike

Around $200 million have moved through Ripple’s stablecoin, RLUSD, in the past day, marking a huge spike in trading volume. This spike is garnering attention throughout the cryptocurrency market, for a token that normally keeps a low-key, stable profile as a USD-pegged stablecoin.

There could be a number of causes for this kind of movement. In order to protect themselves from the volatility of more risky assets like Bitcoin or Ethereum, institutional players may be moving their money into RLUSD. Stablecoins are probably being used as a safe haven by some traders due to recent volatility in altcoins and significant inflows into exchanges.

Source: Coinmarketcap

  • The volume might indicate early activity from payment corridors opening up behind the scenes, given Ripple’s continuous push for adoption in cross-border payments and settlements. The main lesson learned from the spike is that RLUSD remains steady, bolstering trust in its peg mechanism.

  • If the volume rise continues, it may signal the start of a larger uptake of Ripple’s stablecoin on payment and trading platforms. Investors should monitor whether the higher demand results in deeper liquidity across exchanges in the near future, as this would make the RLUSD a more dependable trading pair.

In general, speculation is less important than the overall positioning of the cryptocurrency market when it comes to RLUSD’s $200 million volume surge. In a way, it draws attention to the rising need for stability on an unpredictable market and suggests that Ripple’s stablecoin might become more significant in future global liquidity flows.

How good can DOGE be?

Dogecoin has performed surprisingly well, breaking through the $0.24 mark, which few had predicted given its slow performance in recent months. DOGE — which was once thought to be a meme-driven asset vulnerable to hype cycles — is now exhibiting resilience, defying general market uncertainty and proving its capacity to surprise both ardent supporters and doubters.

The 100-day and 200-day EMAs of Dogecoin have been a solid base for buyers, and the cryptocurrency has continuously respected important support zones in the $0.21-$0.22 range in recent weeks. With bulls intervening at pivotal points, the recovery from these levels and the break above short-term moving averages suggest that momentum is improving.

Additionally, there has been a slight increase in trading volume, which could indicate that fresh market interest is emerging. The RSI, which is close to 59, indicates that bullish pressure is increasing without being overbought. This allows for more upside before reaching harsh circumstances.

If DOGE stays above $0.24, the next logical resistance is located between $0.27 and $0.28, where earlier rallies this summer were capped. A run toward $0.30, which would represent a major psychological milestone, might be possible if that zone is successfully broken. The fact that this rally coincides with a decline in the enthusiasm surrounding meme coins is what makes it so intriguing.

It appears that technical strength and accumulation rather than speculative mania were the driving forces behind DOGE’s move. Dogecoin may start to establish a reputation as a reliable mid-cap cryptocurrency with steady investor support if this trend keeps up. In summary, Dogecoin has resurfaced as a contender in the current market cycle after its unexpected breakout above $0.24 has dispelled bearish expectations.

Ethereum too quiet

With price action settling in the $4,300 range and volatility at all-time lows, Ethereum is exhibiting an unusual calm. The second-largest cryptocurrency believes that this quiet time is misleading and could be a risky prelude to a storm.

With tight candles and little volume, ETH has been trading sideways on the charts for more than a week. The market seems to be losing liquidity, which suggests that traders are holding off until something clear happens. In the past, these periods of inaction frequently came before violent outbursts.

Ethereum is holding at high levels without either buyers or sellers controlling the market, which is more concerning than just the lack of movement. This implies that it might release a surge strong enough to destroy everything in its path when momentum eventually returns.

You Might Also Like

The thesis is supported by technical indicators. There is still plenty of opportunity for growth as the RSI is neutral but balanced at 51. Ethereum, meanwhile, is still trading above its 50-day EMA, indicating that the bullish structure is still in place even in the absence of any immediate action.

Failure to hold current levels could result in a retest of $4,100 or even $3,800, while a clean breakout above $4,500 could pave the way to the eagerly anticipated $5,000 mark. Because there is less liquidity, there is a greater chance that a sudden surge in buying pressure will lead to a series of short liquidations, which would send ETH skyrocketing.

On the other hand, if bears take advantage of the situation, the same lack of liquidity may accelerate a sharp decline. Although Ethereum’s silence is unsettling, it also prepares the market for the next pivotal action.

The storm has the potential to propel ETH to new heights with $5,000 as the main target if bulls make a strong comeback. The calm should be interpreted as a warning rather than a sign of safety until that time.

The general state of the market is cautiously positive. With the comeback of Bitcoin, Ethereum and other grands, smaller assets are gaining more traction and might show us long-awaited recoveries. Unfortunately, if stablecoin volumes keep on growing, it would be a sign of a bearish shift.

Massive 300 Million XRP Injection, Bitcoin’s ‘Quantum Hack’ Theory, Shiba Inu (SHIB) 2025 Breakout Setup: Crypto News Digest

by admin September 10, 2025

XRP exchange reserves jump by 300 million tokens in 24 hours

XRP is back in the news after 300 million tokens, worth almost $885 million, were moved into crypto exchanges in just 24 hours. The surge lifted exchange reserves above $10.3 billion and set the stage for what may be a major price swing for the popular cryptocurrency.

Scale of inflows: 300,000,000 XRP entered exchanges in 24 hours, raising liquidity to multi-month highs.

Price reaction: XRP rebounded from $2.77 to $2.95 but has yet to break the $3.07 resistance.

Risk ahead: Extra supply on exchanges could tilt the balance toward selling pressure.

XRP’s position at the moment is tricky, to say the least. On the one hand, bouncing back from $2.77 and holding the 100-day EMA suggests that bulls are still in charge. But if there is fresh supply coming into exchanges, it might increase the risk of sell pressure if whales decide to offload.

What to watch out for next is the $3.07 barrier, which lines up with the 50-day EMA. Should it break, the path toward the $3.30-$3.50 region will open, and that is where selling picked up during previous rallies. If XRP does not clear that line, though, it risks falling back to $2.77, with the 200-day EMA at $2.53 acting as a deeper support “cushion.”

For now, with relative strength holding near the midline and trading volumes low, the market is waiting for confirmation of direction. It is pretty likely that there will be some volatility, but the endgame will depend on whether the reserves are used to aggressively sell or to keep as strategic liquidity.

Bitcoin faces “quantum threat” again, but it’s still only theory

The “FUD of the week” award goes to Josh Mandell, a former Wall Street trader, who caused a big stir in the crypto community, by saying that quantum computing is already being used to steal coins from old Bitcoin wallets.

Mandell’s claim: Quantum tech has apparently let a “big player” drain some long-dormant wallets.

Community reaction: Bitcoin analysts dismissed the idea as unrealistic and mocked the theory online.

Reality check: Breaking Bitcoin security still requires technology decades away.

What happened is that Mandell argued on X that stolen Bitcoin is being quietly accumulated off-market, with on-chain analysis as the only safeguard. However, experts immediately pushed back, stressing that the millions of qubits needed to break Bitcoin simply do not exist today.

In particular, security researchers like Harry Beckwith and Matthew Pines labeled the suggestion false, while other commentators openly ridiculed it.

There are some concerns in place as quantum computing is advancing — Microsoft and Google recently unveiled new chips — but specialists agree it will take decades before such machines could threaten Bitcoin’s encryption.

Some, like cypherpunk Jameson Lopp, still urge long-term preparation in case quantum attacks become feasible, but even he points to the distant horizon, not the present. For now, Bitcoin’s cryptography remains safe, according to common knowledge.

Shiba Inu’s (SHIB) 2025 breakout setup comes into focus

Being the biggest meme coin on Ethereum means always headlining the news, and Shiba Inu (SHIB) delivers. In today’s digest, the highlight is the fact that the meme cryptocurrency’s price is tightening inside a symmetrical triangle pattern, preparing for one of its biggest moves of the year.

Key resistance: The upside targets are defined by $0.00001297 (100-day EMA) and $0.00001388 (200-day EMA).

Support levels: The base is still at $0.00001200, but if SHIB loses that, it could be exposed to $0.00001150 and $0.00000950.

Indicators: The RSI is at 47 and falling, and there has been a bit of indecision before a breakout.

The way things are set up right now puts SHIB in a bit of a tricky position, just like XRP. The bullish scenario is that a breakout above $0.00001297 backed by strong volume drives Shiba Inu toward $0.00001450-$0.00001500, the same region where sellers capped the July rally. Clearing that ceiling shifts the broader picture back toward bullish control for the Shiba Inu coin.

Failure to defend $0.00001200, however, turns the structure bearish, exposing $0.00001150 per SHIB as the next stop and reopening the path down to $0.00000950, last touched in early summer. With RSI neutral and volume thinning, the pattern is nearly at its peak, and the outcome promises to be SHIB’s most significant move of 2025. Call it the potential Breakout of the Year.

Nintendo wins $2 million settlement and permanent injunction against Switch pirate

by admin September 10, 2025

Nintendo has secured a $2 million stipulated judgment and injunction against Ryan Michael Daly, one of the modders Nintendo of America filed lawsuits against back in July last year, accusing them of violating its copyright by trading and selling “circumvention devices.”

Daly, who sold devices like the MIG Switch and MIG Dumper via his Modded Hardware website, initially denied any wrongdoing, but has now agreed to pay the company $2 million in a settlement to avoid going to court.

Accused of trafficking in circumvention devices, copyright infringement, breach of EULA contract, and tortious interference with contract, Daly has now admitted as part of last week’s order to violating both copyright and the DMCA’s anti-circumvention law.

“[The] Defendant’s conduct has caused [Nintendo of America] significant and irreparable harm. For example, the MIG Devices, Mod Chips, Hacked Consoles, and Circumvention Services allow members of the public to create, distribute, and play pirated Nintendo games on a massive scale,” the court papers said.

“Thus, the MIG devices, Mod Chips, Hacked Consoles, and Circumvention Services harm NOA’s goodwill, detract from NOA’s consumer base, and enable widespread illegal and difficult to detect copying.”

The defendant was also ordered a permanent injunction that prevents Daly or anyone else working on his behalf from “selling, providing, marketing, advertising, promoting, distributing, or otherwise trafficking in any devices whose purpose is to circumvent any technological protection measures contained within Nintendo video game consoles or video game software, including but not limited to devices such as Mod Chips, MIG Dumpers, MIG Switches.”

In July this year, the FBI seized Nintendo Switch piracy site, Nsw2u, as “part of a law enforcement operation.”

Court Orders Man To Pay Nintendo $2 Million To Settle Modding And Piracy Lawsuit

by admin September 8, 2025

Nintendo has secured another payout from a lawsuit it pursued against a producer of products designed to help pirate Switch games. Already notorious for its hardline approach to piracy, modding, and emulation, Nintendo has been granted a monetary judgment under which the target of the lawsuit must pay the company $2 million.

As spotted by X user OatmealDome, Ryan Michael Daly was found by a district court in Washington to have damaged Nintendo through his production and sale of modded devices. According to the court document reviewed by GameSpot, he created products “primarily designed for the purpose of circumventing the TPMs [technological protection measures].” The court also found that Daly’s actions “caused NOA [Nintendo of America] significant and irreparable harm.”

Along with having to pay $2 million to Nintendo, the modder is also permanently prohibited from taking any future action to evade Nintendo’s security or digital rights protection systems or to give guidance to other people in modding or pirating Nintendo property. The court order also mandates the seizure and destruction of any devices that Daly used in running his modding business.

This is not the first time that Nintendo has pursued stringent penalties against individuals who create software or hardware that can be used to pirate games. In one of the most notorious cases, the hacker Gary Bowser (really his name) was ordered to pay $15 million to Nintendo after serving prison time, and the company is allowed to garnish his wages until the whole amount is paid.

Nintendo has also increasingly cracked down on creators and advertisers of emulation software. Last year, for instance, it worked with YouTube to apply copyright strikes to creators who show off emulated Nintendo games and devices.

Strategy Buys $217 Million More In Bitcoin After S&P 500 Snub

by admin September 8, 2025

In brief

  • Strategy has purchased 1,955 BTC for $217.4 million at $111,196 per coin, following Friday’s S&P 500 rejection.
  • The company now holds 638,460 BTC worth $71.5 billion, achieving “BTC Yield of 25.8% YTD 2025” for shareholders.
  • Japan’s Metaplanet also bought 136 BTC for $15.2 million Monday, continuing the global corporate buying trend.

Michael Saylor’s Strategy Inc. announced Monday it acquired 1,955 BTC for $217.4 million at an average price of $111,196 per Bitcoin, days after being passed over for S&P 500 inclusion.

The Virginia-based company, formerly known as MicroStrategy, now holds a massive 638,460 BTC worth approximately $71.5 billion at current prices, maintaining its spot as the world’s largest public corporate Bitcoin holder.

The purchase came just days after Strategy was snubbed from the S&P 500 index despite strong results in Q2, while Robinhood took the spot, with its stock jumping 7% as Strategy fell nearly 3% in after-hours trading on Friday.

QCP Capital noted in its latest report that Bitcoin’s ability to maintain levels above $110,000 “despite Strategy’s exclusion from the S&P500” demonstrates “resilience.”

Bitcoin is trading around $112,000, gaining 0.9% in the past 24 hours, according to CoinGecko.

Strategy’s latest purchase has delivered a “BTC Yield of 25.8% YTD 2025” for shareholders,  according to its Form 8-K filing.

The company funded Monday’s purchase through its at-the-market offering programs, selling 591,606 common shares for $200.5 million in net proceeds alongside preferred stock sales totaling $16.9 million during the September 2-7 period.

The move follows similar acquisitions by other major corporate Bitcoin holders with Japan’s Metaplanet Inc. announcing Monday it purchased 136 BTC for $15.2 million, bringing its total holdings to 20,136 BTC.

Meanwhile, El Salvador marked the fourth anniversary of its Bitcoin legal tender law by purchasing 21 BTC on Sunday, continuing its daily Bitcoin accumulation strategy.

“Bitcoin treasury companies have now accumulated over a million BTC and as they continue to buy and grow, it will provide a very strong buying base for the asset,” Pranav Agarwal, independent director at Jetking Infotrain India—the country’s first listed Bitcoin treasury company, previously told Decrypt.

Strategy’s stock (MSTR) closed today at $335.87 (+2.53%) and is trading lower in pre-market at around $329.20, according to Google Finance.

$55 Million in Bitcoin Scooped From Binance in Major Whale Comeback

by admin September 7, 2025

With the crypto market showing signs of a potential rebound, Bitcoin and other top altcoins have moved to the green zone. Amid this positive price trajectory, Bitcoin whales appear to have relented from market sell-offs as data provided by on-chain monitoring firm Whale Alert shows major BTC buy activity.

The source revealed it has spotted a huge Bitcoin transaction, which involved 500 BTC being emptied from the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange Binance in a matter of minutes.

You Might Also Like

While the transaction happened during the mid hours of Sept. 7 when Bitcoin was trading at $111,132, the large BTC scooped out of Binance during the time was worth about $55,566,215.

Although the intention behind the major Bitcoin transaction was not specified, market watchers have perceived the move to be a Bitcoin buy activity from a high profile investor or an institution due to the nature of the transfer.

Bitcoin rebound restores market confidence

With the major BTC accumulation coming at a time when the leading cryptocurrency is moving upward, showing signs of a potential price resurgence, the move comes as no surprise.

While Bitcoin had experienced mixed price action during the week, surging to about $113K and falling as low as $107,000, it appears to be closing the week on a positive note.

After falling below the $110,000 mark in the previous day amid a broad market bloodbath, it appears to be regaining momentum as it returns slowly to the upside, trading at $111,374 as of press time, according to data from CoinMarketCap.

Source: CoinMarketCap

Though slow, Bitcoin’s price appears to be gradually headed for a major breakout. Hence, the whale’s decision to buy and move such a large amount of BTC from a top exchange hints at a bullish shift in investor sentiment in preparation for a major price move.

Over the last day, Bitcoin has been moving slowly in its trading price, but on a positive path as it shows a decent price surge of 0.27%. However, the asset’s trading volume during the period has slumped massively by about 18.45%, suggesting that the demand for the asset is still outweighed by speculative trading from exiting investors.
