Michael Saylor Issues Matrix Bitcoin Tweet As BTC Crashes From $106,000

by admin June 21, 2025

Michael Saylor, a vocal Bitcoin evangelist and the executive chairman of the BTC treasury company Strategy, has addressed the community to share his take on the earliest cryptocurrency’s price move which took it $2,500 down during the past few hours.

Despite the substantial price decline, Saylor remains bullish on Bitcoin long term.

Bitcoin can let you leave the Matrix, per Saylor

Saylor has once again published an AI-generated image of himself related to his favorite asset – Bitcoin. This time, he referred to the classic sci-fi metaphor movie by Wachovski brothers, “The Matrix.”

While in the film itself escaping the Matrix was possible using street payphones, which have almost totally disappeared by now due to the widespread use of mobile phones, Saylor suggests that now, “Tickets to escape the matrix are priced in Bitcoin.”

While the Matrix philosophy is rather typical of Bitcoin libertarians, who dream of removing banks and using BTC as a currency without any intermediaries, Saylor can hardly be put in the same camp with them since he does not mind banks or centralized custody.

Last year, he even rebuked those who advocate Bitcoin self-custody as the only acceptable approach are crazy Bitcoin anarchists. After facing a strong backlash, he published a tweet, saying that everyone has the right to store Bitcoin the way they see fit, be it self-custody in cold wallets or corporate custodians, including banks.

Bitcoin price falls 2.33%

During the past 24 hours, the world’s bellwether cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, has declined by roughly 2.33%, falling from $106,150 to the $103,400 zone.

This decline took place after Bitcoin surged from $104,280, attempting to test $106,000. Since Monday, Bitcoin is down 4.87% as it dropped from the local peak of $108,850.

Large wallets continue accumulating BTC

Data published by the on-chain tracker Santiment reveals that while Bitcoin is going down, large wallets, holding 10 BTC and more continue accumulating – over the past ten days 231 wallets more have been added. This constitutes a 0.15% growth.

Meanwhile, smaller wallets, which hold 0.001 to 10 BTC, have been dumping Bitcoin. Over the same period of time, the number of these wallets has decreased by 37,465, showing a 0.15% decline. The former remain bullish, while the latter are losing confidence. Santiment says “this is historically the right combination for bullish momentum to inevitably return to crypto markets.”

Ultron’s Battle Matrix Protocol, explained

by admin June 3, 2025

Ever thought you’d be inside Ultron’s mind, being a part of a million simulations that he runs to find the picture-perfect strategies to win the battles in Marvel Rivals? Now, you can do that with the Battle Matrix Protocol, a limited-time auto battler game mode.

Marvel Rivals has been growing steadily in popularity among fans, and the developers are now breaking free from the traditional shooter game modes by bringing an auto battler, where you can place the heroes and win against other players by making strategic choices and upgrades.

Marvel Rivals’ Ultron’s Battle Matrix Protocol is set to release on June 6, and it is going to be around for roughly two weeks before leaving the game on June 23 at 4am CT. During this time, players can queue into this experimental game mode, where they choose an Ultron bot and select their heroes to battle other players.

They can also earn various rewards for playing multiple matches, including a special spray and limited-time Ultron emojis to add to their player card.

Similar to other auto battlers like Riot Games’ TFT, the Ultron’s Battle Matrix Protocol allows players to select six heroes from the existing in-game roster and arrange them to face enemy heroes. After the hero selection, you can place them in any order, but ideally, you’d want to keep your tanks in the front, followed by duelists and strategists to keep them safe.

Each round, you will be facing a different enemy player, who will have a different or similar set of heroes to take down your pawns. While you will win some battles, you’ll inevitably lose some as well, but you’ll gain key upgrades to make the heroes stronger.

A lot of the ultimates work differently in this Marvel Rivals auto battler, and they provide a significant advantage to the player when used well. Some heroes like Venom can also get bigger to gain a huge amount of HP and dominate the battle by being an impenetrable fortress.

You can also change your existing hero combinations to make certain teamups work better and adapt according to the enemies’ moves. Once all the players have been eliminated, the last player wins the match, proving that they have the best simulation for Ultron’s master plan.

Next up, you can read our guides to learn about the Jeff changes in the 2.5 update and Ultron’s abilities in the game.

Vietnamese Police Arrest Gang Accused of $394M Matrix Chain Scam

by admin May 28, 2025

In brief

  • Vietnamese police have arrested a gang accused of being behind Matrix Chain, a crypto scam that defrauded investors of almost $400 million.
  • The operation saw “many elite officers and soldiers” working around the clock for 200 days.
  • The alleged pyramid scheme had over 185,000 registered accounts, funneling 394.2 million USDT through crypto wallets.

Police in Vietnam have arrested a gang accused of orchestrating a crypto scam that defrauded tens of thousands of people to the tune of almost $400 million (VND10 trillion).

“Many elite officers and soldiers” working around the clock for 200 days were involved in dismantling Matrix Chain, according to the ministry of public security.

It’s claimed victims were enticed with the promise of “super large profits” and healthy commissions, but officials said the token they ended up purchasing was worthless.

Four men and one woman—born between 1980 and 1991—have been detained, with detectives searching their properties and workplaces.

Officials claim a multi-level system spanning three regions in Vietnam was established, with misled investors told to pay a nominal fee of 1 USDT in order to download Matrix Chain’s software.

Of the money collected, about 40% was spent on “regional leaders” attempting to recruit new users and 5% was spent on marketing, with the remainder being used for lavish purchases.

Detectives said that the gang’s alleged ringleader, Nguyen Quoc Hung, considered buying houses, apartments and land in several Vietnamese cities.

Promotional events and training sessions were also launched on Telegram and Facebook—encouraging victims to make further deposits by setting them targets.

It’s estimated that Matrix Chain had more than 185,000 registered accounts, with 394.2 million USDT deposited and funneled through SafePal wallets.

A statement suggests that Hung confessed to contacting anonymous developers on Telegram to develop the platform on his behalf back in 2023—and paid $20,000.

It’s also alleged that he controlled a wallet containing 100 million MTC tokens along with a co-conspirator, and manipulated its market value to extract additional funds from victims.

According to the local news site VnExpress, dozens of alleged accomplices are now under investigation in relation to the pyramid scheme.

Research from Chainalysis last year showed Vietnam ranked fifth in the Global Crypto Adoption Index—dropping two places compared with 2023.

In March, Vietnamese Prime Minister Minister Phạm Minh Chính directed the country’s Ministry of Finance and the State Bank of Vietnam to introduce a legal framework for digital assets, with a view to providing a “safer, more transparent environment for crypto transactions.”

A gaming typewriter is born from a once-forgotten matrix typewriter

by admin May 27, 2025

An old Optima SP 26 electric typewriter has found a new purpose in life. Although the typewriter was unrepairable and lacked several internal parts, an inventive Redditor, maniek-86, transformed it into a fully operational gaming typewriter.

Space is a luxury in these projects, as one repurposes old devices into functioning personal computers. According to the Redditor, the Optima SP 26 had minimal room available.

All components are closely packed within the typewriter, and sometimes some hot glue was necessary to keep everything in place. The creator does not appear to be a committed expert in converting vintage devices into sleeper PCs. Instead of utilizing cutting-edge hardware, the Redditor adapted the Optima SP 26 using spare components that were previously unused.

The MSI H110M Pro-D serves as the core of the gaming typewriter. It’s an LGA1151 motherboard equipped with the H110 chipset, restricting the processor choices to older Skylake and Kaby Lake chips. The Redditor equipped the motherboard with an Intel Core i5-6600 processor, 4GB of DDR4 RAM, and a 240GB SATA SSD. There’s even a discrete graphics card inside.

The 12-year-old GeForce GT 635 from the Kepler era powers the gaming typewriter. The Reddit user noted that the MSI H110M Pro-D has a “missing PCIe x16 slot,” which is peculiar given that the motherboard does include a PCIe 3.0 x16 expansion slot.

It’s unclear whether the expansion slot is damaged or the reasoning behind the “missing” comment. Despite this, maniek-86 utilized a PCIe riser to connect the graphics card to the motherboard, likely through one of the two PCIe 2.0 x1 expansion slots.

A modest 200W power supply powers all the components within the gaming typewriter. Additionally, maniek-86 included a small Wi-Fi card for wireless connectivity. Some components are glued together with hot glue to facilitate future upgrades. However, fitting a modern graphics card into the gaming typewriter may prove difficult with a 200W power supply. Furthermore, the bandwidth limitations of a PCIe 2.0 x1 expansion slot could bottleneck the graphics card’s performance.

The keyboard of the Optima SP 26 features a standard matrix design, allowing maniek-86 to connect the interface with an Arduino Leonardo microcontroller board. Although the keyboard is arranged in the Polish layout, the creator has remapped it to a standard U.S. layout.

Due to the limitations of the GeForce GT 635, the gaming typewriter will struggle to run AAA titles. However, it should be capable of running less resource-intensive games, such as Minecraft, Fortnite, Dota 2, or Counter-Strike 2. You may even get away with some modern titles if you keep the resolution and image fidelity under expectations.

Redditor maniek-86 posted a photo showing the gaming typewriter running Minecraft, but the frame rates achieved are unclear. Beyond gaming, the typewriter could function adequately as a standard PC for sending emails, browsing the Internet or social media, or performing everyday tasks such as creating documents in Microsoft Word or managing spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel. It’s not a bad way to recycle an electronic device that could have otherwise just ended up in the dump.
