Black Ops 7’s co-op campaign culminates in a DMZ-like ‘Endgame’ activity for 32 players in an open-world map, plus it has unlockable weapon camos

by admin August 20, 2025

Call of Duty is aiming for its next campaign to be a part of the “connected” experience of the overall live-service game, starting with Black Ops 7.

During a media briefing event last week, Treyarch revealed that the BO7 campaign is playable for up to four players in co-op, played over 11 standard, explosive set-piece missions. Not only that, but you will be able to unlock campaign-specific weapon camos (including four Mastery camos), reticles, player cards, and other cosmetics, all while earning XP to progress your overall level and even individual battle passes. There will even be daily and weekly challenges to complete.

Image via Activision

The campaign stars David Mason and his Spectre One team, including Mike Harper, Eric Samuels, and newcomer Leilani Tupuola, with support from BO6 character Troy Marshall who is now several decades older in this story. Some sort of red, hallucinogenic gas seems to be the main catalyst for weird visions and trippy missions, given what little gameplay I was shown.

Once that story’s 11 standard missions are completed, however, a new “Endgame” experience will unlock, featuring an open-world Avalon map for up to 32 players to explore and fight enemies in. Gamers will be able to fly into the battle royale map-like zone to fight AI soldiers and robots, complete missions, and rank up their operators with new abilities and a level-up system called Combat Rating.

Increasing your Combat Rating (max level 60) will give players access to higher-tier areas of the map, but here’s the catch: if you die, you wipe and have to start all over again, similar to games like Modern Warfare II’s DMZ mode or Escape From Tarkov. That’s right, wiping as a squad will reset your progress for that operator.

Each individual, playable operator also has their own abilities and skill specializations that can be unlocked and leveled up, such as a Grapple Hook, Mega Jump, or Drone Charmer that spawns quad-rotor drones to take down enemies.

Treyarch says that Endgame will be the “final proving ground where all of your campaign progress is tested in a new environment.” Progress is tied to “shutting down Guild activities” as you “move into the hardest regions.”

Image via Activision

A lot about Endgame is still being kept secret for now, but players looking to expand their BO7 experience and unlock everything it has to offer may find some real fun in this new co-op experience to play alongside multiplayer and Zombies modes.

BO7 launches for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC later this year.

Valorant 11.00 patch notes bring massive agent buffs, nerfs & Corrode map

by admin June 24, 2025

Valorant’s massive 11.00 update is finally here, and it is chock-full of buffs and nerfs to Agents. So, lets get into the patch notes.

This summer marks the fifth anniversary for Valorant, and Riot Games have been celebrating that milestone in a pretty big way.

There have been new capsules in-game, they’ve launched a new map in the form of Corrode, revealed there will be a switch to Unreal Engine 5, and confirmed that we’ll finally be getting replays in the not-too-distant future.

Article continues after ad

The 11.00 update is another continuation of those big changes, with a big focus on buffs and nerfs, as well as new animations for picking up the spike so it is a bit more obvious to other players, and a new rank in the form of Ascendant 3.

Agent buffs and nerfs in update 11.00

That’s right, the big changes in this set of patch notes comes in the form of agent buffs and nerfs. Waylay, Reyna, Neon, and Phoenix are all seeing game-changing tweaks.

Waylay is the biggest of those as their Refract, Lightspeed, and Saturate abilties are being adjusted. The minimum and maximum time in Refract have been lowered, the unequip delay for Lightspeed has been knocked down to 0.8s, and Saturate will now cover 12m instead of 10m.

Breach, Brimstone, Clove, Cypher, Killjoy, Omen, and Sova are all getting updates to make select abilities a bit more consistent and clear too.

Corrode joins the map pool

As noted, this patch also sees the arrival of Corrode to the map pool, meaning changes on that front.

The new map will join Bind in replacing Pearl and Split in the competitive and deathmatch playlists. Corrode will also have it’s own dedicated queue for five days, as well as being a part of Premier, Unrated, Swiftplay, Spike Rush, and Escalation.

Riot GamesThe newest map to join the pool.

You can find the full patch notes for 11.00 below.

Valorant update 11.00 patch notes

ALL PLATFORMS

GENERAL UPDATES

  • Suppression visual effects have been updated to be more visible on opponents to improve clarity of the debuff
  • We’ve added new UI/UX animations around picking up the spike to hopefully make it more obvious when players have picked it up.

AGENT UPDATES

  • Waylay
    • Waylay has shown a steep mastery curve since her release, where her win rate significantly improves the more games you play. That said, she is still slightly weak at all skill levels. These buffs aim to sharpen her ability to take fights right after exiting Lightspeed and make her Refract loop easier to play around, as well as improve Waylay’s flow and gameplay feel. Saturate does not land at a comparable rate to other abilities, so we’re increasing its power to justify its 300 credit cost.
    • Refract
      • Refract is faster and smoother, reducing total travel time
        • Minimum time in refract decreased 0.5s >>> 0.35s
        • Maximum time in refract decreased 3s >>> 2s
      • Unequip time decreased 1.0s >>> 0.8s
      • Refract delay after reactivation decreased 0.1s >>> 0.05s
    • Lightspeed
      • Unequip delay decreased 0.8s >>> 0.6s
    • Saturate
      • Windup before explosion decreased 0.75s >>> 0.6s
      • Size increased 10m total size >>> 12m total size

As we continue to tune ability strength for consistency, there’s opportunity for a couple of small changes with a few of our Agents so there’s more room for counterplay and opportunities for clutch moments like flicking to turn flashes.

Article continues after ad

Article continues after ad

  • Reyna
    • Leer is tankier than many of our other comparable shootable objects, and can feel especially so when it’s unclear if you are successfully shooting Leer after it has formed.
    • Leer
    • Audio and visual hit confirm feedback has been added to shots that land on Leer.

We’re also adjusting Neon’s Relay Bolt and Phoenix’s Curveball to have room for some additional counterplay. These abilities are meant to create strong combat advantages, but their fast activation left little time for opponents to respond. These changes aim to increase moment-to-moment counterplay without removing the need to anticipate and position against them.

  • Neon
    • Relay Bolt Windup increased 0.8s >>> 1.0s
  • Phoenix
    • Curveball Windup increased 0.5s >>> 0.6s

CLARITY AND CONSISTENCY UPDATES

These below changes are part of our ongoing effort to improve gameplay consistency & combat clarity similar to our updates to Neon’s Overdrive visual effects and Deadlock’s Barrier Mesh health states.

Article continues after ad

  • Breach
    • Aftershock
      • Visual effects around the windup and explosions resolve slightly more quickly and block less gameplay space
  • Sova
    • Recon Bolt
      • Increased volume of Recon Bolt’s projectile loop and improved how the arrow’s sound travels through the air to make it easier to track
      • Audio priority and attenuation adjusted so that you can more reliably hear the arrow when multiple audio cues are present
      • Audio tech updated to make it easier understand the trajectory of the arrow, point of impact, and reveal radius
    • Owl Drone
      • Enemies now hear a light warning audio loop when they are spotted by Sova’s drone
      • Audio hit confirm feedback has been added when shooting the drone successfully
  • Clove
    • Pick-Me-Up
      • Pick-Me-Up visuals updated to show when Clove’s speed boost is active
  • Killjoy
    • Lockdown
      • Lockdown’s detain pulse delay: 0.5s >>> 0.15s
        • Lockdown’s visual effects have been updated to match this new behavior
  • Cypher
    • Spycam
      • Spycam’s dart visuals have been updated so that is easier to understand the dart’s directionality
  • Omen
    • Given no other dome smoke controllers reveal their own location on smoking, we’ve removed this opponent counterplay specific to Omen.
    • Dark Cover no longer plays audio in third person within 12.5 meters for opponents. This audio will still play for Allies.
  • Brimstone
    • Sky Smoke will now play cast audio within 12.5 meters for allies

MAP UPDATES

  • NEW MAP: CORRODE
    • A 5v5 spike mode map featuring layered defenses and strategic depth across its medieval fortress setting. Navigate through contrasting castle fortifications and village structures, battling across multi-level positions in this salt-crystallized stronghold shaped by radianite storms.
    • Corrode features three lanes and two sites.
  • MAP POOL UPDATES
    • BIND and CORRODE are IN the COMPETITIVE and DEATHMATCH queues.
    • PEARL and SPLIT are OUT of the COMPETITIVE and DEATHMATCH queues.
    • CORRODE is now also available to play in Premier, Unrated, Swiftplay, Spike Rush, and Escalation.

MODES UPDATES

  • CORRODE QUEUE
    • Corrode Only queue will be available for 5 days.
    • Corrode Only games will use the Swiftplay mode format.
  • ESCALATION
    • Escalation will be temporarily disabled during the 5-day Corrode-only queue period.
  • Icebox has been reenabled in Deathmatch and Escalation game modes after addressing spawn-related issues that emerged in patch 10.09.

COMPETITIVE UPDATES

  • Ranked Gun Buddy has arrived!
    • Act IV starts today so you’ll be receiving your ranked buddy this patch. Remember that it’s based on the highest rank you achieved throughout the first three acts of Season 2025.
  • Corrode Launch Event
    • Corrode will be available to play in Competitive queue on the first day of the patch!
    • RR losses on Corrode will be 50% reduced for the first two weeks, but don’t worry, you will still receive 100% of the RR for any wins on Corrode
  • We’ve made some adjustments to rank resets. Hop back into Competitive and see where you land!
    • Players may see less of a drop in rank after completing placements for this midseason reset.
    • The maximum rank you can place is now Ascendant 3.

BUG FIXES

  • General
    • Fixed a bug with all Vulnerables/Fragiles where the visual effects could linger on a target longer than the gameplay debuff duration
    • Fixed a bug where destructible deployables like Tejo’s Stealth Drone and Fade’s Prowlers could keep teleporter doors open on Bind
  • Agents
    • KAY/O
      • Fixed an issue where KAYO’s ultimate sometimes did not apply the suppression visuals to opponents
    • Raze
      • Fixed an issue where Raze’s Paint Shells VFX would persist across rounds
    • Omen
      • Fixed an issue where targeting views could be inconsistently applied during Dark Cover if Shadowstep was spammed during Dark Cover’s ability equip flow.
    • Skye
      • Fixed inconsistent spacing in ability tooltips
    • Cypher
      • Fixed inconsistent spacing in ability tooltips
    • Breach
      • Fixed an issue where Breach’s Fault Line could rarely fail to apply its debuff to targets around varying elevations on specific charge levels
    • Astra
      • Fixed an issue where disconnecting and reconnecting within Astral World could result in Astral World’s visuals persisting for the round despite the player not being in Astral World.

Squid Game Is Taking Over Fortnite Reload Next Week With A New Map

Squid Game Is Taking Over Fortnite Reload Next Week With A New Map

by admin June 23, 2025

Fortnite and Netflix are celebrating the launch of the final season of Squid Game next week by taking over Reload and dropping a pile of Squid Game-themed skins in the item shop. The new island, dubbed Squid Grounds, will be the fourth map for Reload, Fortnite’s smaller battle royale mode with automatic respawns. It’ll be the first time for any of Fortnite’s battle royale modes that an entire map is the product of a collaboration. The Fortnite x Squid Game party kicks off Friday, June 27, which is also when Season 3 of Squid Game drops on Netflix.

We don’t have any specifics about whether the Squid Game island will change up how the mode works–that tweet announcing it is the first official details we’ve gotten about Fortnite’s team-up with Squid Game. It’s probable that the new map will be based on locations from the series and will introduce Squid Game-themed weapons, but we really don’t know much.

We do, however, know what the map will look like, because the mini-map view has already leaked. But since it doesn’t have labels for its places of interest, it’s not very easy to parse what’s on it, or whether any of the locations are familiar. We’ll have to wait a little longer to find out what’s up, apparently.

But one other detail we do already have is that we’ll be getting Squid Game skins, presumably in the item shop. It appears right now as though we’ll get five male and five female Fortnite default characters wearing contestant track suits, with two of them being new faces–and you’ll be able to choose the number on the jacket. There will also be a red guard skin and a black guard skin, which will let you choose which icon is on their mask. And as you can see in the key art above, there also appears to be a skin based on the gigantic Red Light/Green Light animatronic doll.

When the new Squid Game map launches in Fortnite Reload on June 27 it’ll be the last of Fortnite’s core game modes to get major love this month. June has already given us new seasons of Battle Royale, Fortnite Festival, Lego Fortnite and Fortnite OG, a whole new mode in Blitz Royale, and a new map for Ballistic.

MAP Protocol, Useless Coin, LUNC lead the charge as Bitcoin hits $105k

MAP Protocol, Useless Coin, LUNC lead charge; BTC hits $105k

by admin June 14, 2025

MAP Protocol (MAPO) was the best-performing cryptocurrency on Saturday as it jumped by 100%. It rose to a high of $0.010, its highest point since Feb. 2, and 153% above its lowest point this year.

This increase has pushed its market cap to over $53 million.

MAP Protocol price led the charge

MAP Protocol is a layer-2 network for Bitcoin, allowing peer-to-peer cross-chain transactions. Its token surged as the total value locked in the network jumped.

Its TVL jumped to $23.3 million on Saturday, the highest point since February. All dApps in the ecosystem, like HiveSwap, StaQ, and Butter Network, have all added substantial assets in their ecosystems.

The biggest risk for MAPS Protocol price is that it has become highly overbought, with the Relative Strength Index jumping to 93. This means that the token may have a big dive as investors book profits.

Useless Coin price hits all-time high

USELESS token chart | Source: TradingView

The Useless Coin price surged to a record high of $0.078 on Friday, even as the crypto market crashed. The Solana meme coin has jumped by over 1,245% from its lowest point this year, giving it a market cap of over $70 million.

Useless Coin, unlike MAPS Protocol, has no utility, and its price is soaring mainly because of hype and FOMO among crypto investors.

Technicals suggest that the USELESS token has more gains ahead. It formed a cup-and-handle pattern whose upper side was at $0.047 and the lower side was at $0.0051 or a 90% dip. Measuring the same distance from the cup’s upper side gives it a target of $0.090, a few points above the current level.

LUNC price rises as burn rate jumps

LUNC chart | Source: crypto.news

Terra Luna Classic (LUNC) token rose by over 10% on Saturday. This jump happened after the LUNC token burn rose by over 234 million in the last seven days, bringing the cumulative burn to 410 billion.

Technicals suggest that the LUNC price has more gains in the coming weeks. It has remained in a tight range and formed a double-bottom pattern with a neckline at $0.00007253.

LUNC has also moved in the accumulation phase of the Wyckoff Theory, pointing to an eventual comeback. A move above the neckline at $0.00007253 will point to more gains to the 50% retracement level at $0.0001135.

Meanwhile, Bitcoin rallied past $105,000 at last check on Saturday. See below.

Possible New Call Of Duty: Warzone Map Teased In Black Ops 7 Trailer

by admin June 8, 2025

Activision announced Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 during the Xbox Games Showcase, and the reveal trailer could also be hinting at Warzone’s next big map for battle royale.

Near the end of the Black Ops 7 reveal trailer, there is a scene of four soldiers dropping down onto a map, which looks very much like a squad diving into a Warzone match together. The map in question also looks similar to the rumored Avalon map found in Black Ops 6’s spectator mode, with both featuring a cluster of islands connected by bridges. This specific scene was saved for the end of the trailer and shown alongside a brief tease of Treyarch’s Zombies mode for Black Ops 7, so it is possible Activision is teasing Avalon for Warzone.

Now Playing: Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 | Official Cinematic Teaser Trailer

However, fans shouldn’t get their hopes up too soon. Black Ops 7 is revealed to be a co-op campaign, so it is possible the scene in question is just a section of the campaign used to show off four-player co-op. Additionally, known Call of Duty insider “The Ghost of Hope” claims the Avalon map was scrapped for battle royale and would be used for campaign and Outbreak Zombies mode for Black Ops 7.

Of course, we’ll likely learn more about Black Ops 7 and Warzone in the coming weeks, as Activision says more details will be revealed later this summer.

Season 4 is currently live in Black Ops 6 and Warzone. The season features a crossover event with the Ballerina movie, which is part of the John Wick universe. Players can earn free cosmetics and unlock a new marksman rifle during the Ballerina event in Black Ops 6 and Warzone.

Subnautica 2 studio talks silent protagonist, a big ol' ocean map, and more in latest Q&A

Subnautica 2 studio talks silent protagonist, a big ol’ ocean map, and more in latest Q&A

by admin June 4, 2025

Subnautica 2 might still be lacking an early access release date beyond a vague “2025” window, but that hasn’t stopped Unknown Worlds from cranking the hype handling a little harder, with the studio having now shared a few additional details as part of a new video Q&A.

Last time around, Unknown Worlds offered a first, fleeting look at Subnautica 2 gameplay, but for its latest video update, creative producer Scott MacDonald and community manager Donya Abramo tackled a couple of burning fan questions. Admittedly, most of them ended with ‘not yet’, ‘maybe at some point’, and ‘no’, but there were still a couple of facts to glean.

Perhaps the most notable tidbit came in form of confirmation that Subnautica 2 will ditch the controversially chatty protagonist of 2021’s standalone expansion Below Zero and return to the silent protagonist approach of the first game, although that doesn’t mean other characters won’t be voiced. The decision accompanies the introduction of customisable characters, with players able to select from a handful of pre-designed protagonists before diving in. Unknown Worlds notes there’ll potentially be some further “freedom to express yourself as your character”, but whatever that means, it won’t be util after early access launch.

Subnautica 2 teaser trailer.Watch on YouTube

As for the world of Subnautica 2, it’s set on a brand-new ocean planet promising “all-new mysteries, creatures, and experiences”, and Unknown Worlds says it’s aiming for the game to be the “biggest and most exciting” series entry “ever” when it hits 1.0 in a few years time. It isn’t, however, exactly sure “how big and how deep [players will] be able to go over the course of early access”, but says the initial early access launch map will be more sizeable than those of the original Subnautica and Below Zero at a comparative time.

And a vast new underwater world to explore means vehicles. Unfortunately for fans of the Cyclops, Seamoth, and even the Sea Truck seen in earlier games, none of those are returning for the sequel. However, Unknown Worlds says new vehicles are coming – including a big sub scheduled to arrive later in early access – that’ll be “designed in the same spirit [as their predecessors], just more suited to the brand-new environment they need to navigate”. Additionally, “some of your favourite tools [will return], but improved”, and base building is set to offer “more customisation than ever before”.

What else? The studio stresses that, despite supporting co-op for up to four players, Subnautica 2 is being designed as a solo experience first. That means it should retain the sense of “isolation and terror” that made the original such a winner, although the studio readily admits it “won’t really be able to protect” that atmosphere if players opt to bring friends along for the ride. Sadly, there’s no local split-screen option for those wanting to cuddlefish up on the couch, but cross-play is supported between Xbox and PC platforms, and as for proximity chat, that’s currently being ‘investigated’. VR support isn’t on the cards at present, however.

And all of that brings us back to the big question of a release date, but Unknown Words says it’s “not quite ready to share one just yet”. Nor is it talking platforms beyond PC and Xbox, only teasing Subnautica 2 will hit other machines “when the time is right”. It is, though, still scheduled for a 2025 release, and will be available as part of Game Pass on day one.

Mario Kart World's Open World Map Sounds Massive

Mario Kart World’s Open World Map Sounds Massive

by admin June 4, 2025

According to people who have played Mario Kart World, the upcoming Switch 2 launch game from Nintendo, the new open-world kart racer is bigger than you might have expected, especially when compared to other open-world games like Forza Horizon 5.

Three Things We Learned From The Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Demo

Mario Kart World arrives alongside the Nintendo Switch 2 on June 5, which is just a few days away. Since it was officially unveiled in April, it’s sounded like a very exciting shake-up of the popular but stale Mario Kart formula. Instead of individual tracks that you race on separately via different events, Mario Kart World features an open map with no loading screens. Each race track in this open-world playground is connected by roads and highways. Events are spread across the open map, which you can explore between races to find collectibles, missions, and more. And the map all of this takes place in sounds large. Very large.

Game File’s Stephen Totilo got his hands on the Switch 2 early via an official press event. (Unlike how some others have snagged Switch 2 consoles ahead of the launch.) He reported that it took 10 minutes and 12 seconds to drive across Mario Kart World’s open world map. Giovanni Colantonio, the senior gaming editor at Digital Trends, reported that it took him about nine minutes or so to cross the map. So, how does that compare to other open-world games?

Is Mario Kart World bigger than Forza Horizon 5?

Well, to drive across the whole map in Forza Horizon 5, it takes around six minutes, according to the wonderful YouTube account and website How Big is the Map? In Grand Theft Auto 5, it takes about eight minutes to quickly drive across the map using roads and highways. Meanwhile, in Ubisoft’s The Crew Motorfest, it takes about 16 minutes, driving as fast as possible, to cross its enormous map.

Now, keep in mind that we are comparing very different video games using vehicles that drive differently in worlds that contain different physics and were built at different scales. So don’t take this as scientific proof that Mario Kart World is in fact bigger than Forza Horizon 5 or GTA 5.

Instead, to me this just implies that, yes, the open world in Nintendo’s upcoming kart racer is big. It’s not a tiny little open world that you’ll explore in a few minutes, but something that, according to a preview from Polygon, is filled with hundreds of collectibles, missions, and side activities.

Though, according to IGN, the open-world mode in the game doesn’t feel nearly as exciting or content-packed as that of Horizon 5. This is still a Nintendo-developed Mario Kart game and not some highly detailed simulation of a real world filled with multiple progression bars and seasons, like Forza or The Crew. Still, I’m very excited to get lost for hours exploring Mario Kart World when it arrives for Switch 2 on June 5.

MindsEye studio confirms its map editory bits come from the weird “community-driven gaming platform” that was originally set to host it, clearing up like 5% of the confusion

by admin May 29, 2025

MindsEye, the GTA-ish, Cyberpunk-ish action game about fighting killer AI bots that also includes UGC systems that’ll let you create your own races and levels actually pulled those systems from the weird platform thingy it was originally planned to launch as part of.

That’s according to Leslie Benzies-helmed studio Build a Rocket Boy, which has confirmed to VGC that this is the case, but hasn’t indicated what it means for the future of that weird “community-driven gaming platform where you can build, remix, and play together in a vast connected world” – Everywhere.

The level and race-building systems included in MindsEye were a big part of its gameplay trailer the other day. Christened Build.MindsEye (the bit where you build stuff) and Play.MindsEye (the bit where you share stuff you’ve built so people can give it a go), it turns out these two bits comprise a creation suite dubbed Arcadia, which Build a Rocket Boy has now confirmed is the same creation suite developed for Everywhere.

“As with all new products, things evolve,” the studio said, “Arcadia was originally envisioned as our creation platform, but as we continued developing MindsEye and building out BARB’s ecosystem, it naturally grew into something more focused — Play.MindsEye and Build.MindsEye.”

It went on to re-iterate that those two creatory bits go alongside MindsEye’s campaign to form “three seamlessly interconnected experiences”, adding: “For BARB to fully realize our vision, we had to beta test our creation system with a community of builders in real-time and started with Everywhere while we were in stealth mode developing MindsEye.”

Ok, cool. What does that mean for Everywhere, the website link of which VGC points out now redirects you to MindsEye’s website? Well, the studio hasn’t said. VG247 has reached out to Build a Rocket Boy for comment on that.

So, to recap as I understand it, prior to becoming a standalone game punlished by IO Interactive, MindsEye was originally set to be launched as a part of weird platform thingy Everywhere. Now, it turns out some bits of Everywhere are part of MindsEye, and it’s not clear whether Everywhere is going somewhere. Easy.

In other MindsEye-related news, Build A Rocket Boy’s co-ceo seemingly suggested on Discord the other day that he thinks there might be some kind of co-ordinated campaign to make people think it’s crap.

Japanese government releases free Minecraft map you can play right now

by admin May 26, 2025

Japan’s government has uploaded a free Minecraft map, which features the world’s largest underground flooding diversion facility, and you can check it out right now.

As spotted by Automaton, Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) has uploaded a free Minecraft map. The ambitious level features Japan’s Metropolitan Area Outer Underground Discharge Channel, the world’s largest underground floodwater diversion facility.

Known as G-Cans, the iconic structure was built in 2006 to help mitigate severe flooding during typhoon seasons. As mentioned on the Japan Travel site, G-Cans diverts water from heavy rainstorms about seven times a year and keeps the streets of the northern Tokyo area from becoming rivers.

The structure is most famously known for its colossal concrete tunnel system, which runs 50 meters deep and 6.3 kilometers long. As shown in the video, players can descend into the iconic structure to see how the flood mitigation system works, while marveling at the monolithic pillars that run along the tunnel.

“We have realistically reproduced the huge shaft, epic-scale pressure-regulating tank, drainage pump equipment, and other features of the Metropolitan Area Outer Underground Discharge Channel,” wrote Japanese government officials.

As for the reason behind recreating the flooding system, government officials stated that the map was designed so that players can learn about the importance of infrastructure development and the creation of disaster prevention facilities.

“When designing the world data, we based it on actual blueprints and created it for Minecraft, pursuing realism. In addition, the game also includes ways to enjoy Minecraft, such as checking out places and facilities that are normally off-limits.”

If you want to experience the free map for yourself, then you can do so by heading over to the Edogawa River Office homepage. For more amazing maps, be sure to check out our 55 best Minecraft seeds that will completely transform your in-game experience.

Marvel Rivals Season 2.5 Adds Ultron, A New Map, And A Sharknado
Game Updates

Marvel Rivals Season 2.5 Adds Ultron, A New Map, And A Sharknado

by admin May 22, 2025

The team behind Marvel Rivals, one of our favorite games of last year, has revealed the changes coming next week for the game’s mid-season update. In addition to Ultron, a new playable character, there’s a new map, a new limited-time mode, and a ton of balance changes.

Despite his character history of destruction and conquest, Ultron is a strategist, Marvel Rivals’ healer class. He’s also the first healer who can fly, placing him among the ranks of characters like Human Torch and Iron Man. Based on what we can see in the trailer, his primary fire is a laser that ends with a burst of damage, and he can both heal allies and grant them shield.

Ultron will be accompanied by a new map, Arakko. “Once Krakoa’s sister island, Arakko has lost all its vitality,” creative director Guanguang says in the video update. It’s been overrun by a somehow-even-more-evil version of Ultron after he combined himself with Cerebro to become X-tron.

A new limited-time mode called Ultron’s Battle Matrix Protocol will be available on June 6. It’s a single-player mode where you assemble a roster of computer-controlled heroes to battle enemies while you observe from the sky as one of Ultron’s drones. By unlocking buffs and abilities, the battles can get wacky, as the video shows off a massive Venom, a rapidly firing Hela, and a Namor with an army of Monstro spawn turrets.

Season 2.5 also comes with a smattering of balance adjustments. Groot, Captain America, Emma Frost, Iron Fist, Human Torch, and Psylocke will all receive buffs, while Doctor Strange, Magneto, Squirrel Girl, and Punisher will all receive buffs. Meanwhile, Jeff will receive a “partial adjustment for a fresh experience,” reworking several of his key abilities. You can read the specific changes for each character here.

Team-up abilities, one of the game’s most notable features, are also receiving some changes. Team-ups between Hawkeye and Black Widow, Rocket and Punisher, Luna Snow and Jeff, and Spider-Man, Venom, and Peni are all being removed, and Iron Man is no longer a part of the team-up with Hulk and Namor. However, six new team-ups will be added to compensate: Luna Snow and Hawkeye, Jeff and Storm (who combine ultimates to make a Jeff-nado), Jeff and Venom, Punisher and Black Widow, Rocket and Peni, and Iron Man and Ultron. You can find the full details of each team-up and a list of team-ups that are changing right here.

Finally, Marvel Rivals will receive some new cosmetic options, including emojis you can use to react mid-game, moods you can add to your character nameplate, and the ability to see your Lord character portraits in the character select screen at the start of the game.

The season 2.5 update goes live on May 30. For more Marvel Rivals, you can read our review, where we called the game “a culmination of the successful shooters that came before it.”
