Genshin Impact’s IRL event at gamescom teases Nod-Krai, Version 6.0, and yet another handsome anime man you’d better start saving your Primogems for

by admin August 21, 2025

Genshin Impact’s big annual update is not far off. Thanks to this year’s gamescom, we’ve got our first look at one of the new characters joining the game’s roster with the upcoming expansion: Flins, the latest in Genshin’s long line of eligible-and-they-know-it husbandos — and if you’re a longtime player, you’ve probably been expecting him.

The other highlight of the next version, of course, is the new Nod-Krai region, which is something those in attendance at the show will get to experience first-hand.

Genshin Impact is hosting an offline experience at its booth at gamescom to show off the new Nod-Krai region. We sadly can’t experience that from the comfort of our homes, but this fresh look at Flins is nothing to scoff at.

Flins is a warrior from the Lightkeepers, a faction that hails from Nod-Krai, and he’s part of a new story chapter that will kick off with the game’s annual major version update. Today’s trailer teases a bit of that narrative, too. Version 6.0 is set to arrive in September, which is when we’ll be able to get our hands on all that.

There’s clearly a lot more that’s being kept under wraps, but we won’t have to wait too long to learn all remaining details. The next Genshin Impact livestream will be taking place on the last Friday of the month, and that’s when all will be revealed.

In case you missed it, Genshin Impact’s developer recently announced plans to drop support for PS4, and raise system requirements on PC and mobile. Not all of these changes will take place at once, but you should probably prepare for that day if your device is affected.

If you’re looking for some guidance on how to complete the Traces of Chroma quest, or need help reaching Tenochtitlan Harbor, hit up those links for our detailed guides. As ever, the massive Genshin Impact codes page is never not useful.

The opening weekend of the new English Premier League season concludes with a blockbuster showdown at Old Trafford, as old foes Manchester United and Arsenal go head-to-head.

Below, we’ll outline the best live TV streaming services for watching Premier League games as they happen, wherever you are in the world, and how to use a VPN if it’s not available where you are.

A hugely disappointing 15th-place finish for Man United last term — its lowest in the EPL era — has prompted a major overhaul of Ruben Amorim’s squad. $270 million has been splashed out on an all-new attacking lineup of Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Šeško.

Arsenal have also been busy in the transfer market during the summer, with new No. 9 Victor Gyökeres set to make his Premier League debut for the Gunners today alongside fellow newcomers Martin Zubimendi and Noni Madueke.

Manchester United takes on Arsenal on Sunday, Aug. 17, at Old Trafford, with kickoff set for 4:30 p.m. BST. That makes it an 11:30 a.m. ET or 8:30 a.m. PT start in the US and Canada, and an 1:30 a.m. AEST kickoff in Australia in the early hours of Monday morning.

Midfielder Martin Zubimendi looks set to make his first EPL appearance for Arsenal following his $60 million summer move from Real Sociedad.

How to watch Man United vs. Arsenal in the US without cable

This match at Old Trafford will be broadcast on will be broadcast on NBC and streaming service Peacock in the US. You’ll need a Peacock Premium or Premium Plus subscription to catch the game live.

Peacock offers two Premium plans, and after recent price increases, the ad-supported Premium plan costs $11 a month, and the ad-free Premium Plus plan costs $17 a month.

How to watch the English Premier League 2025-26 season from anywhere with a VPN

If you’re traveling abroad and want to keep up with all the EPL action while away from home, a VPN can help enhance your privacy and security when streaming.

It encrypts your traffic and prevents your internet service provider from throttling your speeds, and can also be helpful when connecting to public Wi-Fi networks while traveling, adding an extra layer of protection for your devices and logins. VPNs are legal in many countries, including the US and Canada, and can be used for legitimate purposes such as improving online privacy and security.

However, some streaming services may have policies restricting VPN use to access region-specific content. If you’re considering a VPN for streaming, check the platform’s terms of service to ensure compliance.

If you choose to use a VPN, follow the provider’s installation instructions, ensuring you’re connected securely and in compliance with applicable laws and service agreements. Some streaming platforms may block access when a VPN is detected, so verifying if your streaming subscription allows VPN usage is crucial.

Fubo

Fubo is the go-to destination for Canadians looking to watch the EPL, with exclusive streaming rights to every match. It currently costs CA$27 for the first month, then CA$31.50 a month from then on.

Livestream Man United vs. Arsenal in Australia

Livestreaming rights for the EPL are now with Stan Sport, which will be showing all 380 fixtures live, including this match.

Stan

A subscription will also give you access to Premier League, Champions League and Europa League action, as well as international rugby and Formula E.

Quick tips for streaming the Premier League using a VPN

  • With four variables at play — your ISP, browser, video streaming provider and VPN — your experience and success when streaming EPL matches may vary.
  • If you don’t see your desired location as a default option for ExpressVPN, try using the “search for city or country” option.
  • If you’re having trouble getting the game after you’ve turned on your VPN and set it to the correct viewing area, there are two things you can try for a quick fix. First, log in to your streaming service subscription account and make sure the address registered for the account is an address in the correct viewing area. If not, you may need to change the physical address on file with your account. Second, some smart TVs — like Roku — don’t have VPN apps you can install directly on the device itself. Instead, you’ll have to install the VPN on your router or the mobile hotspot you’re using (like your phone) so that any device on its Wi-Fi network now appears in the correct viewing location.
  • All of the VPN providers we recommend have helpful instructions on their main site for quickly installing the VPN on your router. In some cases with smart TV services, after you install a cable network’s sports app, you’ll be asked to verify a numeric code or click a link sent to your email address on file for your smart TV. This is where having a VPN on your router will also help, since both devices will appear to be in the correct location.
  • And remember, browsers can often give away a location despite using a VPN, so be sure you’re using a privacy-first browser to log into your services. We normally recommend Brave.

Pera Coda Is A Narrative Mystery Set In Istanbul About A Man Trapped In A Loop Between Life And Death

by admin June 26, 2025

Pera Coda is a newly announced narrative adventure game blending time-looping puzzle solving with psychological storytelling. Set in Istanbul, Turkey, it stars a man trying to solve a mystery while trapped in purgatory.

Protagonist Deniz is an attorney trapped in a looping plane of existence between life and death. Unable to live or die, he must escape by confronting his traumatic memories to find hidden truths, engage in choice-driven branching dialogue exchanges, and solve various mysteries of the world to make emotional breakthroughs and break the cycle. The isometric point-and-click adventure promotes complex interactions through accessible mechanics, and draws inspiration from acclaimed titles like Disco Elysium and Outer Wilds.  Check out the teaser trailer below.

“This is both a love letter to our city and a universal human story about guilt, regret, and the search for peace,” says art director Ahmet Kazanci in a press release. He adds that Pera Coda is “rooted in a surreal reimagining of Istanbul, real locations, rich with local nuance and emotional texture that are rarely seen in games. Istanbul becomes both a stage and a mirror, where East meets West, chaos meets calm, and each district reflects a piece of your fragmented self.”

Pera Coda is being developed by Turkish indie studio Falan, itself an internal developer within indie studio/publisher Elyzio. Pera Coda does not have a release window, but it’s slated to launch for PC via Steam. You can check out a batch of screenshots in the gallery below.

Ironheart's MCU Connection Traces Back To First Iron Man Movie

Ironheart’s MCU Connection Traces Back To First Iron Man Movie

by admin June 25, 2025

Image: Disney

Ironheart creator Chinaka Hodge assuaged any fears newcomers to the Marvel Cinematic Universe may have by letting the world know you don’t need to watch any of the previous Marvel movies to enjoy Ironheart. That’s true—but if you’re a Marvel diehard, you’ll be excited to know the first three episodes of the new Disney Plus show has a surprising connection to the very beginning of the MCU that expands the history of one of Marvel’s most beloved characters.

Ironheart’s New Trailer Delivers A Couple Cool Surprises

In the first three episodes, we follow Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne) as she goes through the typical Marvel origin story—forced to build herself back up from square one, motivated by the loss of loved ones, and dealing with supernatural bad guys. She also finds a quirky yet brilliant sidekick to sheepishly help her optimize her Ironheart suit, with an interesting twist. After meeting McGillicuddy (Alden Ehrenreich) and visiting his shady bunker full of black market weapons, Riri gets him to confess that his name is actually Ezekiel Stane. And he has a Ziploc bag full of the ashes of Obadiah Stane—his father!

Those who have been MCU fans since it began with the first Iron Man movie in 2008 will remember Obadiah (Jeff Bridges) as the ruthless Stark Industries executive who orchestrated Tony’s kidnapping in Afghanistan and horrifyingly pulled the arc reactor out of the Stark Industries founder’s chest. In the show, Ezekiel says he is 36 years old, which would make him roughly 17 when his father was killed by Iron Man. That’s still young enough for him to have developed the sort of trauma that’ll turn someone into the type to hoard weapons of mass destruction as a “hobby.”

Interestingly enough, Ezekiel tells Riri that he and his father weren’t close (hence the Ziploc bag urn) and references his father’s nefarious Iron Monger alter ego. However, in Iron Man, it’s never publicly revealed that Obadiah was the Iron Monger, which could suggest Ezekiel either had intimate knowledge of his father’s crimes from being involved, or that he was told about them later in life. Either way, Ironheart adds a cool expansion to the MCU history books—without making that the central appeal of an already great show.

Israeli Man Accused of Spying for Iran in Exchange for Crypto

by admin June 24, 2025

In brief

  • Israel’s security agency has arrested a 27-year-old for allegedly photographing military sites for Iran.
  • Suspects allegedly received crypto payments worth $500 for each task, racking up thousands of dollars.
  • Two other Israeli citizens were arrested for similar espionage activities.

Israeli authorities have arrested a 27-year-old Tel Aviv man on espionage charges after he allegedly completed intelligence tasks for Iranian operatives in exchange for crypto payments.

The suspect allegedly carried out various missions, including photographing sensitive locations and spray-painting politically motivated graffiti, the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) and Tel Aviv District Police announced in a joint statement released to various local media on Monday.

Organizations behind the espionage activities “reach out through social media platforms,” the agencies said, urging citizens and residents of Israel “not to engage with foreign actors or carry out any missions on their behalf,” as cited in a report from local media outlet Arutz Sheva.

The arrests come as cyberattacks linked to the Israel–Iran conflict have intensified, with the conflict causing uncertainty in crypto markets.

Last week, a pro-Israel hacker group claimed responsibility for an exploit that drained roughly $90 million worth of crypto from Iranian exchange Nobitex, citing ties between the platform and Iranian intelligence services.

Crypto markets eased by Monday after President Trump claimed that a ceasefire mediated by Qatar was being discussed.

At the time of writing, Israel maintained warnings for citizens to take shelter, claiming a third Iranian missile barrage to be incoming, per an update from the Associated Press.

Paid in crypto

In the Sunday operation, authorities seized computers and digital storage devices suspected of being linked and used for communication with Iranian handlers working with Or Beilin, a Tel Aviv resident.

After his arrest, Beilin was brought before the Tel Aviv Magistrate’s Court, which decided to extend his detention to June 26, pending investigation.

Beilin joins two others already in custody by Israeli police, including Dmitri Cohen, 28, from Haifa.

Cohen was arrested last month on suspicion of gathering intelligence on Amit Yardeni, who was set to marry Avner Netanyahu, the son of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, according to a separate report from the Times of Israel.

Cohen was reportedly promised $500 for each task and received thousands in crypto since working with Iranian agents. Another individual was arrested in the Sharon region, though the 19-year-old suspect was not named in local reports.

Decrypt reached out to Shin Bet and the Israel Police to confirm identities and if the arrests formed a pattern.

Israeli man arrested for acting as an Iranian spy in exchange for cryptocurrency

by admin June 24, 2025

A 27-year old Tel Aviv resident was recently arrested by police for allegedly spying on Israeli public officials for Iran. He was reportedly paid thousands of dollars in cryptocurrency for his efforts.

According to a recent news reports by i24 and Arutz Sheva, Israeli authorities claimed that the suspect, a man named Or Beilin, was paid thousands of dollars in crypto to conduct espionage on Israeli public officials and political activities.

Following his handler’s instructions, the Israeli man was assigned to spy on public officials by taking photographs of their homes in secret, documenting government military installations and report on political spray-painted graffiti.

The 27-year-old was arrested on June 24 by the Israeli police and the Shin Bet security service. The police raided his home and seized the culprit’s computer and other digital equipment used to receive crypto payments and communicate with Iranian contacts.

He has been temporarily detained under suspicion as authorities continue to carry out more investigations into the matter.

According to the report, the Tel Aviv Magistrate’s Court has extended his detention until June 26 as the investigation continues.

In an announcement, authorities have warned civilians about the underlying threat of Iranian intelligence services and affiliated terrorist organizations to recruit Israeli citizens to carry out espionage and other hostile activities.

According to the police, people are often recruited through social media platforms. Handlers often lure them in with the promise of money, crypto or any other means of rewarding them for espionage. The police urged residents to report any suspicious recruitment from foreign actors.

Most recently, the police have arrested two other Israeli citizens were also arrested for similar espionage activities. One of them is 28-year-old Dmitri Cohen, who is accused of gathering intelligence on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s son’s fiancée.

Cohen was reportedly promised a batch of cryptocurrency worth $500 for each completed task, accumulating thousands of dollars.

Iran retaliates against the U.S. and Israel

Recently, Iran retaliated against the U.S. after it launched a major bomb in Iran targeting three nuclear sites. On June 24, Iran fired missiles at a a U.S. base in Qatar. However, the U.S. were able to intercept the missiles and successfully prevented casualties in the attack.

The crypto market reacted positively to news of the interception, with Bitcoin briefly rebounding over the $103,000 level after previously dipping below the $100k threshold.

Man in wheelchair quit school after making five figures a month through Fortnite

by admin June 23, 2025

A man who is wheelchair bound due to a rare form of muscular dystrophy has revealed how he’s able to make £10,000 a month by working with Fortnite players.

To some people, Fortnite has been a life-changing experience, kickstarting their journey to becoming well-known faces in the community, whether that’s as a content creator, streamer, map designer, or even professional player.

Like many other fans, 22-year-old Ross McLaren, who’s wheelchair-bound due to a rare form of muscular dystrophy, becoming a professional Fortnite player was also his initial dream.

Article continues after ad

But even after he realized he wasn’t “good enough” to do so, thanks to the game, he now earns £10,000 a month from his bedroom after quitting school, managing some of the most popular creators in the community.

Ross reveals how his disability enabled him to hone his craft in the gaming world

Ross started his business at just 17 years old when he was still living with his parents, Lesley and Craig. Speaking to the Daily Record, he said, “I really wanted to be a pro Fortnite player, but I realized I wasn’t good enough.”

SuppliedRoss McLaren seen with professional player Clix.

He then got into video editing for professional players. In the beginning, he worked with small gaming streamers for free while he was still in school. As time passed, things took a different, positive turn.

“By summer 2021, I was making £10,000 per month, and I told my parents I didn’t want to sit my Advanced Highers,” he said. Despite his situation, however, his parents still had doubts and asked him to go back to school, though he quit after just one day.

Ross didn’t let his disability stop him from pursuing his craft. He explained, “Having muscular dystrophy was somewhat of an advantage for me as it meant I spent a lot more time on a computer when I was younger, as I couldn’t go out and play sports like other kids.”

At some point, he started offering his video editing services to small streamers “for fun.” Just when he was about to give up, he was hit with a golden opportunity. He mentioned that he was able to work with Bugha, who only had about 20,000 subscribers back then.

Then, one day, Bugha participated in the Fortnite World Cup in 2018 and won $3 million, and his subscriber count reached one million overnight.

Afterward, Ross and his business just kept getting even more similar opportunities, like working with another well-known face in the community, Clix. Top Fortnite streamers certainly earn a pretty penny, and Ross makes money off producing content from lucrative commissions.

Due to his parents’ pressure, Ross returned to George Heriot’s School for one day before calling it quits and getting another massive opportunity, as he was asked to run YouTube star KSI‘s gaming channel, which has over 22 million subscribers.

Ross is now a freelancer responsible for managing big icons such as Clix and esports org Sentinels. He’s hoping to move to Dallas to be closer to his clients in the future.

FBI tracks down man suspected of plotting major crimes via chats on Roblox

by admin June 22, 2025

The FBI tracked a man to his home in Texas after they suspected him of making threats in Roblox to commit real-world crime.

In an affidavit submitted to a Texas court on May 16, 2025, FBI special agent Carletta Carter described how authorities received a report from an unnamed Roblox player claiming to have witnessed a “possible domestic terrorist incident being discussed on Roblox.”

In images and statements provided by the witness, a Roblox user known as Crazz3pain was believed to have made threats in-game to “attack a Christian concert or event.”

Article continues after ad

With billing information associated with Crazz3pain provided by Roblox, the FBI traced the account to an address in Texas, where they identified James W Burger.

RobloxRoblox hosts millions of user-created games.

After executing a search warrant on Burger’s home, the FBI discovered that a family member had installed a keylogger (records inputs on a keyboard) on their computer, with the latter subsequently providing the logs to authorities.

Article continues after ad

The logs – recording access to “RobloxPlayerBeta.exe” – were combined with Burger’s other devices, including an iPhone, to establish their involvement.

Article continues after ad

In a voluntary interview with the FBI at his home, Burger provided login information for the Crazz3pain account and admitted to making similar statements to those shown in screenshots provided by the witness. Burger said his end goal was to “[G]et the hell out of the US and…if I can’t…then, martyrdom or bust.”

In searching Burger’s iPhone, the FBI discovered a note explaining “how to prevent leaving any DNA or fingerprints behind,” searches for firearms and ammunition, and phrases, including “festivals happening near me,” and “what is the most effective knife type.”

Article continues after ad

Carter also described how Burger had taken screenshots of his user name, crazz3pain, being banned from Roblox. “According to Burger in the interview, being banned in Roblox was a familiar occurrence,” Carter noted.

The affidavit concluded by recommending that courts issue a warrant for Burger’s arrest.

Shotgun Cop Man just got a free DLC that proves every game is better with bullet time

by admin June 22, 2025

My Friend Pedro was a Flash game that evolved into a standalone release in which you played a man who used his skateboard gun-fu skills to kill bad dudes at the command of a talking banana (named Pedro). It was a lot of fun. I gave it an 81. You could throw a frypan into the air and then ricochet bullets off it in slow-motion.

Its developer, DeadToast Entertainment, followed it this year with Shotgun Cop Man. A more lo-fi take on the action-platformer genre, Shotgun Cop Man saw you descend into Hell to fight demons with a shotgun that launched you into the air when you shot the ground. Want to double-jump? Shoot twice. It was almost as much fun, though it didn’t have a skateboard or bullet time.

Until now. DeadToast has generously bolted three new worlds with 17 levels in each of them onto Shotgun Cop Man.
