Saylor Compares Bitcoin and S&P 500 for Long-Term Investors

by admin September 20, 2025

Michael Saylor, the Executive Chairman of Strategy Inc., joined investigative journalist Natalie Brunell on her Coin Stories podcast this week, diving deep into Bitcoin’s current market cycles and investor trends.

During the podcast with Natalie Brunell, Saylor dove into his latest project, STRK, explaining that it’s a tool his company created to make Bitcoin investing simpler.

He said it’s aimed at both traditional investors and crypto enthusiasts who want an easier, more straightforward way to get exposure to Bitcoin without the usual complexity.

Bitcoin Consolidation

Saylor opened the conversation by addressing Bitcoin’s recent price movements. While Bitcoin has doubled over the past year, some investors are nervous about a potential prolonged consolidation phase. According to Saylor, this reaction is typical of market psychology.

He said people freak out too much over small dips. They see the price drop and panic, forgetting that Bitcoin’s basics haven’t changed. Adoption is still growing, it’s still scarce, and institutions are still interested, so long-term, it’s still on solid ground.

STRK Strategy: Bridging Bitcoin to Traditional Investors

A major focus of the podcast was Strategy Inc.’s new STRK instrument. STRK is a form of preferred stock with a variable rate and no set maturity date, meaning it continues indefinitely. It pays investors a 9% annualized dividend, distributed monthly, and is designed to give institutional investors a way to gain Bitcoin exposure while still earning a steady income.

Since its launch earlier this year, STRK has pulled in $2.5 billion in subscriptions, with another $4.2 billion available through an at-the-market program. Saylor described it as a game-changer for institutional investors who want Bitcoin but also need predictable income.

He broke down how STRK works, saying it effectively turns Bitcoin’s potential growth into a structured financial product. With STRK, investors can get into Bitcoin without having to buy or manage it themselves, avoiding the hassle of its ups and downs.

STRK and Traditional Investors

Saylor said traditional investors avoid Bitcoin because it doesn’t give steady returns like stocks or bonds. Products like STRK allow these investors to participate in Bitcoin’s upside while mitigating volatility concerns.

Saylor explained that this isn’t just about generating returns; it’s about developing tools that allow institutions to engage with Bitcoin safely.

A Spectrum of Products

Beyond STRK, Strategy Inc. is developing additional instruments — STRF, STRD, and STRC, each aimed at different risk profiles. Together, they form a “Bitcoin-backed yield curve,” giving investors options from conservative to higher-risk yields.

Saylor noted that investors have varying risk appetites and that by offering multiple products, Bitcoin can be made accessible to a broader range of portfolios.

Bitcoin’s Path Beyond the S&P 500

Michael Saylor said traditional investors usually stick to what they know, things like the S&P 500, bonds, or dividend stocks, because these feel safe and reliable over time. That approach misses Bitcoin. It doesn’t give dividends like stocks or bonds, but over decades, it can grow faster than the S&P 500.

Saylor sees Bitcoin not just as a gamble, but as a foundation for new financial products, digital lending, and even a full Bitcoin-backed system, offering both growth and income where traditional investments often fall short.

Saylor admitted that ups and downs are a natural part of Bitcoin’s journey. Still, he believes that products like STRK can bring in more institutional investors, helping the market become steadier and encouraging its overall growth.

He also said that the market will always have ups and downs. But these tools make it easier for large investors to step in during periods of uncertainty.

Conclusion

During his chat with Natalie Brunell, Saylor explained how Strategy Inc. is making it easier for traditional investors to get into Bitcoin. He said STRK and similar products are built to offer both income and crypto exposure, hinting at a bigger change in how institutions are approaching digital assets.

Bitcoin Climbs as Long-Term Risk Falls: Healthy Market Divergence Forms

by admin September 19, 2025

Trusted Editorial content, reviewed by leading industry experts and seasoned editors. Ad Disclosure

Bitcoin is at a pivotal juncture as the market digests Wednesday’s 25bps interest rate cut from the Federal Reserve, a decision that has shifted market dynamics into a new phase. Following the announcement, BTC has entered a period of consolidation, with price holding steady as investors weigh the potential for another leg higher. While short-term volatility remains a factor, sentiment leans bullish as traders anticipate a breakout that could push Bitcoin closer to its all-time highs.

Top analyst Axel Adler highlighted a critical structural development in the market. According to Adler, Bitcoin’s price is rising while Long-Term Risk is falling, an unusual but constructive divergence. This is happening because the Long-Term Holder (LTH) Realized Price is climbing faster, driven by expensive Short-Term Holder (STH) coins maturing into the long-term cohort. In practice, this means newer, higher-cost basis coins are balancing out older, cheaper ones, leading to what Adler calls a “healthy LTH profit reset.”

This dynamic reduces overheating risk, keeping market structure strong and supportive of further trend continuation. As a result, despite caution from some analysts, the long-term outlook remains favorable, setting the stage for decisive moves in the coming weeks.

Long-Term Risk Dynamics Signal Healthy Bitcoin Cycle

Axel Adler explains that since March, Bitcoin’s Long-Term Risk has been steadily declining, reflecting a constructive shift in market structure. The key driver behind this decline is that the Long-Term Holder (LTH) Realized Price has been rising faster than the spot price. This divergence creates a bullish signal, suggesting that Bitcoin’s underlying health is improving, even as price consolidates.

The mechanics behind this trend lie in the maturation of coins. Many were purchased during spring and summer at higher valuations and are now crossing the six-month threshold, officially transitioning into the LTH cohort. These newer coins have a higher cost basis, which pushes the LTH Realized Price upward at a faster pace than spot itself. Because of this, the LTH MVRV ratio (a measure of unrealized profits) does not inflate, and normalized Long-Term Risk falls despite rising price.

At the same time, older, cheaper coins are being distributed and exiting the LTH pool, while newer, more expensive ones are entering. This rotation compresses the LTH profit multiple without requiring a decline in spot price. The effect is powerful: each time Bitcoin pushes to a new all-time high, Long-Term Risk increases only modestly, while fresh demand from Short-Term Holders (STH) absorbs the supply flowing from LTH.

This process creates a bullish divergence where price trends higher but risk remains contained. Adler stresses that this structure allows the cycle to extend further, making it possible for Bitcoin to climb toward new highs without the typical overheating conditions that marked previous tops. In other words, Bitcoin’s long-term foundation remains strong, and the market could sustain a prolonged bullish phase driven by fresh capital inflows and healthier profit distribution dynamics.

Testing Resistance Before Breakout

Bitcoin (BTC) is currently trading around $116,781, with the chart showing price action consolidating just below a major resistance at $123,217. This level has repeatedly acted as a barrier over the past months, making it a crucial threshold for bulls to break in order to confirm a new upward leg.

The recent bounce from the $112,000–113,000 zone, supported by the 100-day SMA, reflects renewed buying interest after a period of weakness. The 50-day SMA has also turned upward, aligning close to spot price and signaling improving short-term momentum. Meanwhile, the 200-day SMA, currently around $103,200, remains comfortably below, confirming that Bitcoin’s broader trend is still bullish.

For now, BTC is moving within a constructive setup: higher lows have formed since early September, suggesting buyers are gradually regaining control. However, without a decisive breakout above $117,500–118,000, price could remain rangebound before attempting to retest the $123K resistance.

Bitcoin Illiquid Supply Hits Record 14.3M as Long-Term Holders Continue to Accumulate

by admin September 7, 2025

Bitcoin’s illiquid supply—the portion of coins held by entities with little history of spending—has climbed to a new record high, surpassing 14.3 million BTC in late August, according to Glassnode.

With 19.9 million BTC currently in circulation, around 72% of the total supply is now illiquid, held by entities such as long-term holders and cold storage investors. This growth highlights a sustained accumulation trend, even during recent market volatility.

In mid-August, bitcoin hit an all-time high of $124,000 before retreating roughly 15%. Despite the price pullback, the illiquid supply continued to rise, showing that holders remain undeterred by short-term corrections.

Over the past 30 days alone, the net change in illiquid supply has increased by 20,000 BTC, underscoring persistent investor conviction.

The ongoing increase in this category suggests tightening supply dynamics that could set the stage for renewed momentum once sentiment recovers. For now, the trend reflects growing confidence in bitcoin as a long-term store of value.

Long-Term Holders Spend 97K BTC in Largest One-Day Move of 2025

by admin September 2, 2025

Long-term bitcoin BTC$111,846.73 holders have stepped up their liquidations in recent weeks, adding to bearish pressures in the market.

On Friday, these so-called patient holders offloaded 97,000 BTC (nearly $3 billion), marking the largest single-day long-term holder sell-off of the year, which accounts for the bulk of the recent increase in spending activity, according to blockchain analytics firm Glassnode.

The 14-day moving average of coins spent by long-term holders has jumped to nearly 25,000 BTC, the highest since January.

Glassnode defines long-term holders as those with a history of owning coins for over 155 days.

Bitcoin’s price fell by over 3.7% to $108,000 on Friday and continued to decline to $107,400 early Monday. As of the time of writing, the cryptocurrency was trading at $103,330, still down 16% from its record high of $124,429, according to CoinDesk data.

Note that the profit-taking operation is still notably slower than the spikes observed in late 2024.

What’s driving the profit-taking?

Long-term holders, including wallets that have been dormant for years, have been consistently selling since bitcoin broke above $100,000 early this year. One explanation for this profit-taking can be rooted in investor psychology.

Think of it this way: how many assets in the world trade at $100K per piece? Perhaps very few that you can quickly count on your fingers. Therefore, it is logical for investors to feel that $ 100,000 per BTC is too expensive, prompting them to take profits.

It also means that the market will likely take time to adjust to $100K as the new normal for BTC. We could continue to see broad range trading around the six-figure price mark for some time, allowing investors to acclimatize to this elevated valuation.

‘Rich Dad, Poor Dad’ Author Kiyosaki Clarifies Why Bitcoin Is Long-Term Hold

by admin September 1, 2025

Robert Kiyosaki, the author of the personal finance classic “Rich Dad, Poor Dad,” thinks Bitcoin isn’t any different from gold and silver — meaning it’s an asset to buy and hold for the long term in his book.

For Kiyosaki, buying all three and not selling them much is the way to go, because he sees Bitcoin as a way to store value, not as something to trade or speculate on for short-term gains.

The remark links Bitcoin to the two metals Kiyosaki sees as crucial for wealth preservation. For years, he has warned about fiat currencies’ declining reliability, pointing to inflation, rising debt and government mismanagement as reasons to hold assets outside the monetary system.

FYI: Addition comment to lesson on “Talking your book,”

I buy gold, silver, and Bitcoin.

I rarely sell, gold, silver, and Bitcoin.

— Robert Kiyosaki (@theRealKiyosaki) August 31, 2025

Including Bitcoin in this group shows he sees the cryptocurrency as a durable, credible asset with a role that extends well beyond price action.

Lesson

This comment comes from Kiyosaki’s repeated criticism of educators and promoters who, as he puts it, “talk their book” by masking sales tactics as financial advice. While he did make a distinction between marketing and education, his note on Bitcoin really stood out.

It doesn’t have anything to do with a product or a course, just his personal strategy: accumulate and hold.

You Might Also Like

Basically saying, Kiyosaki doesn’t see Bitcoin as a way to make a quick buck by timing the market. Bitcoin for him is “people’s money” put in the same category as gold and silver, which he has always said are a good hedge against the downsides of fiat money and the long-term erosion of trust in paper currency.
