How Long Is The Story?

by admin August 17, 2025

The latest game in the AI: Somnium Files series arrived last month, and it’s shorter than the previous ones. No Sleep for Kaname Date is actually a spin-off that takes place between the first two games, AI: The Somnium Files and AI: The Somnium Files -Nirvana Initiative-, as well as sees the return of our original protagonist, Kaname Date.

This time around, Kaname Date must save our favorite idol Iris after she gets abducted by a UFO and is forced to play various escape games to survive. Directed by Kazuya Yamada supervised by original series creator Uchikoshi, No Sleep for Kaname Date implements escape room puzzles similar to that of the Zero Escape series, which Uchikoshi also created. These escape room scenarios help pad out No Sleep for Kaname Date despite its much shorter length.

How long is No Sleep for Kaname Date?

No Sleep for Kaname has five chapters for you to play through, along with multiple “dead-end” endings.

In the game, you’ll have to go through “Somniums” (different from the escape rooms) which are pseudo puzzles that you’ll need to solve in order to progress the story. During these Somnium investigations, you’ll be on a timer, so you won’t have time to examine every item. But examining every item unlocks “eyeballs,” which are in-game currency that lets you unlock bonus content for after you’ve beaten the main story (don’t worry, there are no real-world microtransactions). You can also earn more eyeballs by finding collectibles throughout the game.

Some of the bonuses you can unlock include concept art and extra endings called “alternate alternate endings.” They cost a certain amount of eyeballs to unlock, and some of the bonuses may not appear until you’ve reached certain alternate endings in the story.

© Screenshot: Spike Chunsoft Co., Ltd.

You will have to replay certain chapters, Somniums, and escape room puzzles to find the alternate endings, but thankfully, the game’s flowchart notes which chapters have them. That way, you won’t have to blindly search for them.

That being said, a full playthrough of No Sleep for Kaname Date should take you about 12-15 hours to complete, depending on how good you are at solving escape puzzles.

How many Achievements does No Sleep for Kaname Date have?

No Sleep for Kaname Date is available for Switch and Steam. While the former doesn’t have an achievement system, the latter does. Since this game is much shorter than the others, you’re looking at about an extra five hours to unlock all of the achievements.

Is No Sleep for Kaname Date on PlayStation or Xbox?

Right now, No Sleep for Kaname Date is only on Switch and Steam. While the previous two games are on all platforms, including PC, PlayStation, Switch, and Xbox, No Sleep for Kaname Date has not been announced for PlayStation and Xbox.

© Screenshot: Spike Chunsoft Co., Ltd.

However, that doesn’t mean that developer Spike Chunsoft won’t bring them over later. 2023’s Master Detective Archives: Rain Code was a Switch exclusive until it came to all other platforms a little over a year later. Given AI: The Somnium Files, it’s definitely possible that No Sleep for Kaname Date will arrive on other platforms in the future.

No Sleep for Kaname Date – From AI: The Somnium Files launches on July 25 for Switch/Switch 2 and PC.

How Long Is The Campaign?

by admin August 17, 2025

Donkey Kong Bananza is the first 3D game in Nintendo’s ape-starring franchise since Donkey Kong 64 way back in 1999, so expectations were high for the titular character’s newest outing. There’s a lot to love about this adventure, which sees Donkey Kong join up with a young Pauline as he punches, rolls, and slaps his way through open-ended levels filled with secrets and challenges. But how many hours will it take you to see everything? Let’s take a look at the length of the Donkey Kong Bananza campaign and what else there is to do beyond it.

How long does it take to beat Donkey Kong Bananza?

If you just want to punch your way through to the end of this DK expedition, you can expect to spend around 10-15 hours beating the Donkey Kong Bananza campaign. This makes it a pretty beefy experience in an age where many 3D platformers come in at half that length or less. And that’s just for the base adventure! There’s still a ton of monkeying around to do beyond that.

Read More: Here’s What Amiibos Can Do For You In Donkey Kong Bananza

Donkey Kong Bananza‘s world is immensely dense with extra things you can find to do beyond just reaching the end of its campaign. It is a 3D platformer, after all, so it wouldn’t be complete without a treasure trove of stuff to collect—though I hope that’s not bringing back any bad memories of Donkey Kong 64 and its thousands of collectibles.

You can opt to tackle finding everything in Donkey Kong Bananza during your initial playthrough, or you can dive back in after beating the main story. However you go about it, there’s a great time to be had tracking down all the Golden Bananas, Banandium Gems, music discs, and fossils in the game.

Read More: Don’t Sleep On Donkey Kong Banana’s Co-Op Mode

And while they’re all fun to find, definitely don’t pass up any opportunities to get fossils, even if you’re just trying to mainline the campaign. They’re cool because you can use them to unlock new outfits for DK and Pauline, which you can then mix and match to your fashion tastes. But more importantly, they often sport helpful passive bonuses like improved swimming speed or reduced damage from poison. Any bit of help you can get for survivability is a good thing, yeah?

Whether you’re rushing through the campaign or trying to go for 100%, you can start bashing your way through Donkey Kong Bananza right away. The game is available now exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2.

Death Stranding 2
Product Reviews

It’s been so long since I played a 30 fps console game, it took me a week to realize Death Stranding 2 was literally giving me headaches

by admin June 25, 2025

Just over a week ago, after devoting half my Sunday to delivering packages across the continent of Australia in Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, I went to bed with a dull ache behind my temples. I wrote it off as a likely symptom of the usual suspects: maybe I hadn’t drunk enough water, or by snacking my way through the afternoon instead of having a proper meal, by the time I had dinner the headache was already settling in as a side effect of hunger. Maybe lack of caffeine? It’s not like I’d spent all day glued to the TV, which can sometimes leave my brain buzzing and desperate for a break.

But by Tuesday I had a new suspect: Death Stranding 2.

I didn’t start to blame the new PlayStation 5 game, which I’ve been playing for the past week and a half, until last Tuesday, when I went to bed with a pounding headache. It was the kind you wake up from in the middle of the night and immediately notice the absence of, relieved of a tiny subconscious irrational fear that your brain could just be like that now. Tuesday had otherwise been normal: I’d worked most of the day and felt fine, then played about two hours of Death Stranding in the evening. That was all it took for the ache to start burrowing in.

Related articles

Nothing in the game seemed like an obvious trigger. Wearing a VR headset for long enough is guaranteed to give me a light headache or nausea, but Death Stranding 2’s standard third-person camera is basically videogame comfort food, easily digested. And the game doesn’t suffer from dramatic framerate drops or the kind of zoomed-in first-person FOV that can often cause nausea.

The only thing it suffers from, as a console game, is running at 30 frames per second. But after years of primarily gaming on PC, apparently that’s all it takes to mess my brain up good.

Like most big budget, high fidelity games on the PS5, Death Stranding defaults to a “quality mode” when you launch it, prioritizing resolution, but it doesn’t advertise that fact. You wouldn’t know there’s a performance mode unless you go into the options menu’s graphics settings tab, which has only two entries: screen brightness and graphics mode, which can be flicked over to “prioritize performance” to lock the framerate at 60 fps instead of 30.

Death Stranding 2: On The Beach – PS5/PS5 Pro – Digital Foundry Tech Review – 4K HDR – YouTube

Watch On

In a PC game that tab would be my first port of call, but for the first few days I was playing Death Stranding 2 I didn’t even bother checking it, because I knew I wouldn’t find the granular settings for things like texture quality and draw distance and anti-aliasing I’m used to on PC.

Keep up to date with the most important stories and the best deals, as picked by the PC Gamer team.

Besides, the game looked great! So I just started playing it. And also started getting headaches.

I grew up playing loads of console games at 30 fps or worse (ahh, Nintendo 64) without issue, but over the last decade or so it’s become more and more of a rarity for me. I’m used to locking games to at least 60 fps on my 144Hz monitor. On my Steam Deck, the types of games I tend to play at 30 fps don’t involve much rapid action: Dorfromantik is as chill as they come.

So either my brain’s somehow grown more vulnerable to strain from lower framerate games altogether, or there’s something about Death Stranding 2 that I found especially nauseating. (Screen size could also be a factor, since the Steam Deck doesn’t dominate my view the way my 60″ TV does).

When I sat down to play the game on Wednesday, I opened the meager graphics menu for the first time and switched it to performance mode. It immediately felt like breaking free from the tar pits that pockmark Death Stranding’s world. Everything was moving so fast. The animations and protagonist Sam’s responsiveness to my button presses were suddenly so snappy I couldn’t believe what I’d been tolerating for the last few days.

Flipping back and forth between the two graphics modes now, I think the most likely culprit for my headaches is the camera—spinning it around at 30 fps makes me a little queasy. Perhaps stronger motion blur would help cover up the choppiness of the refresh rate, but I’m not sure that would be an outright cure.

I think the bigger issue is responsiveness. I’ve gotten so used to a game leaping to enact my inputs within every 16.67 millisecond window—the time it takes to generate a frame at 60Hz—that waiting double that time for each button press or analog stick flick, plus 20 milliseconds of input lag from my TV and a few more from the wireless controller, is now just too jarring. Like when I’m playing a VR game and the refresh rate of the screen is a smidge too low to perfectly match every little motion of my head, there’s a disconnect between what my brain’s seeing and what it thinks it should be seeing.

I’m thankful Death Stranding 2 has a performance mode on consoles, and for players who are happy with 30 fps, the game runs extremely steadily in that mode. I’m now happily headache free despite playing 20-something hours of the game in the last few days. But it also renewed my appreciation for the fact that even the most barebones PC port today will likely still offer enough graphical options to hit 60 fps on years-old hardware.

Yeah, we’re still struggling with unoptimized games like Monster Hunter Wilds and the stutter epidemic. But between standard graphics settings, upscaling tech like DLSS and FSR, frame generation, and community-made tools like Special K that help smooth out performance, these days 60 fps is a lot closer to the floor for PC gaming frame rates than it is the ceiling. And judging by the quality of the first game’s excellent PC port, when Death Stranding 2 does finally arrive on PC it’ll be an even better version of an already stunning game.

Nanoleaf Solar Garden Lights review: a fun way to light up your yard all night long

Nanoleaf Solar Garden Lights: two-minute review

TechRadar Smart Home Week

This article is part of TechRadar’s Smart Home Week 2025. From lighting and switches to robot vacuums and smart thermostats, we’re here to help you pick the right devices to make your life easier, and get the most out of them.

Nanoleaf specializes in energy-efficient LED smart lights, or the home, and now the garden too. Recently launched, these solar-powered outdoor lights are available in a two-pack for $49.99 / £49.99, or a six-pack for $139.99 / £139.99.

We tested the pack of two light clusters, which come in a long box along with two solar panels that can either be stuck in the ground or screwed to a fence with the brackets and screws provided (we tried both types of installation).

Alternatively, it’s possible to power the lights via a USB-C power socket on the solar panel if there isn’t enough power from the sun. I tested the Nanoleaf lights during an unusually sunny period in London, so I didn’t have to rely on an external power source – the sun’s rays were more than enough to keep the lights going all night.

Really, it’s best to think of each light as a bunch of eight flowers attached to a central stalk that sticks into the ground or a flowerpot. Two different sized tubes are provided depending on whether you want to have a long or a short stalk (we tried both).

What’s more, each of the flowers in the bunch can be adjusted to face whichever way you want, though they should be handled from the bottom closest to the stalk rather than the top of the stem next to the LED lightbulb.

Once the solar panels are installed where you want them, you can switch on the power using a button on the bottom underneath the actual panels and a green light will indicate you how much charge each of the lights has (four bars means it’s fully charged).

Using the bracket and screws provided, I installed one of the solar panels relatively high up on a south facing fence, angling the panel up to the sun, while the other was placed in the ground on a north facing fence. Needless to say, since I’m in the UK, the south-facing panel charged up much quicker, although both provided more than enough power for the LED lights to come on at night.

Of course, the real magic starts once it starts to get dark and the lights actually switch on to illuminate your garden – not until nearly 10pm in the summer in the UK, but much earlier in the winter.

Unlike other Nanoleaf products, such as the Matter Smart Multicoloured Rope Lights, which connect via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, these lights are actually refreshingly old school. So instead of using a mobile phone connected to the Nanonleaf app for control, you use a conventional remote control instead.

Powered by two AAA batteries (provided), this looks similar to an Amazon Firestick remote. At the top are buttons for switching the lights on and off, while underneath there are controls for changing the color of the lights.

Pressing RGB toggles the lights to the next solid color, with options for decreasing and increasing brightness (marked with sunshine icons) on either side. In addition, you can choose warmer or colder whites. These are marked with thermometer icons with either a sun or a snowflake.-

Image 1 of 2

(Image credit: Chris Price)(Image credit: Chris Price)

Underneath the lighting options are timer settings (four-hour, six-hour and eight-hour timers are provided) as well as an ambient light sensor which will turn the lights on or off automatically at sunset and sunrise.

There’s also the option of toggling between 11 animated scenes with the different bulbs lighting up in an array of colours, like a sort of less noisy firework display.

It’s all great fun and overall we were pleased with the lights and the way they performed. Using a standard remote rather than relying on Wi-Fi control via a mobile phone will obviously suit many, especially those who struggle to get a Wi-Fi signal outdoors. The range of the remote also seems quite good (around 33 feet / 10 meters) so it may be possible to control the lights from indoors if you have a small garden or yard.

However, there are a couple of small niggles. One of the problems we found is that experimenting with the lighting settings was a little bit tricky, especially in the dark when we weren’t able to see the remote control very well to make changes.

Ironically, given you shouldn’t need a smartphone to control the lights, we found we had to use the torch option on the phone to light up the display on the remote control. Also, it took a bit of getting used to all of the different buttons and what they each of them did. Personally, I found the brightly-colored animated scenes a little over-the-top for everyday use though quite enjoyed the solid colours and warm/cool whites the lights could offer. However, it is largely a matter of individual taste.

Nanoleaf Solar Garden Lights: price and availability

  • $49.99 / £49.99 (two-pack)
  • $139.99 / £139.99 (six-pack)
  • Available direct from Nanoleaf

Available either in packs of two or six, the Nanoleaf Solar Garden Lights represent pretty good value for money (I had been expecting them to cost nearly twice as much). Each of the units has eight bulbs and they are quite well made (they also offer IP65 waterproofing). They are available direct from Nanoleaf in the US and the UK.

Particularly impressive are the solar panels which, rather usefully, tell you how much charge they have as well as providing back up power via USB-C charging. And while obviously the garden lights aren’t as high-tech or as sophisticated as some smarter lighting solutions, that’s not necessarily a bad thing.

Finally, they also offer much more bang for your bucks than many standard LED garden lights, which often don’t allow for any customization at all.

Value

Given all the elements that make up this two-pack, the flower-like Nanoleaf lights represent excellent value for money. In fact they’re not that much more expensive than two bunches of real flowers (much brighter too).

5/5

Design

Maybe it’s not for everyone, but I quite like the innovative design of the Nanoleaf lights. Particularly impressive are the stems which you can easily bend to the optimum position as well as the flexible mounting options for the solidly-built solar panels.

4.5/5

Performance

While many may prefer using a standard remote rather than a mobile phone app in the garden, it’s not always easy to make changes in the dark. That said, once up and running, the lights are impressive.

3.5/5

How I tested the Nanoleaf Solar Garden Lights

  • I used the Nanoleaf solar garden lights for a week
  • I experimented with all the lighting options
  • I used in various configurations with different lengths of ‘stalk’, and both wall- and ground-mounted solar panels

Testing solar garden lights isn’t the most sociable of activities. After all, you can only really make changes after dark, which means testing after around 10pm when approaching the longest day in the UK. Also, as noted earlier, it’s not easy to make changes when you can’t see the remote very well in the dark, which is why I also had to use a phone to provide light.

Will I continue to use these lights long after the review has been published? (That’s always the real test of any review.) Yes I think so although I will probably keep them on a single white light setting rather than having them cycle through various colored scenes which can be a little over the top.

As my son said when he first saw the bright colored lights coming on in the garden after a night out: ‘Why has our garden been transformed into Love Island?’

How Long Is The Main Campaign?

by admin June 21, 2025

Image: Funcom

If you’re a fan of previous Funcom titles, such as Conan Exiles, then you know the lore, while interesting in small doses, isn’t the focal point. It’s just the flavoring helping you immerse yourself in the sprawling landscape. In Dune Awakening, the story takes a high seat at the table, but it’s still not the center of attention. But don’t worry. If your ultimate goal is to contend with sandworms, fight the Harkonnen, and fly an Ornithopter while dive-bombing your buddy, you’re in for quite the adventure!

Lost Records: Bloom & Rage Part 2 Is Short, Shocking, And Strangely Satisfying

Rushing through the main story missions and beats in Dune Awakening shouldn’t take too long for an open-world survival game of this nature. But it varies depending on you. Some players will take approximately 50 hours, similar to Conan Exiles, to complete the main journey and prepare for the endgame. Others, such as those who genuinely don’t care about the tale, will complete it in much less time.

I have a few buddies who rented a server for the Advanced Access release, and they finished the main portion of the game in under 30 hours by rushing. But that means playing the game with no exploration, no additional ruins or combat encounters, just mainlining the story. Why? Because the endgame is where a title like Dune Awakening truly opens its expansive arms and allows for freedom!

Screenshot: Funcom / Brandon Morgan / Kotaku

For those who care about the story, expect multiple chapters that take you through your early survival days, scrimping for scraps and low-tier crafting materials, before inevitably dumping you into political intrigue and the spice wars.

How to extend your playtime in Dune Awakening

Screenshot: Funcom / Brandon Morgan / Kotaku

If you’re the type who wants to eke out every potential hour from a game like this, here’s how you can boost your hours played on Dune Awakening:

  • Quests: Alongside the main story, Dune Awakening offers faction quests, mentor quests, contract missions, events, and exploration quests, all of which should keep you busy for hours on end.
  • Base Building: I’m the type to spend way too long picking out a site for my first base, and then immediately hating said site and looking for another. Then, I despise the structure I construct. It’s too square, too plain. So, I build bigger, better. The game features tons of building options, from curved walls to windows to more for nearly infinite possibilities.
  • Exploration: While it’s true that much of Dune Awakening revolves around vast expanses of untamed desert, every inch of which poses a hazard to your health due to heat exhaustion and sandworms, there’s a lot to explore in the rocky outcroppings. You’ll find pre-war ruins, bandit camps, Fremen moisture caverns, and more; all with loot, lore, and liabilities.

Dune Awakening launches on June 10th on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows PCs.

Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour: How Long Is It?

Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour: How Long Is It?

by admin June 21, 2025

Nintendo has a history of packing in tutorial games with some of their hardware, so players were reasonably frustrated to find that Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour would run them $10. But while this tutorial-focused title should’ve probably just been included with the Nintendo Switch 2, it may still be worth buying for certain folks who will benefit from learning more about their new system.

Nintendo Switch 2 Could Launch With Almost No Reviews

Whether you’re a long-time gamer or new to the hobby, you’re probably curious about how long Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour will take to beat and whether it’s even worth that price tag. Let’s take a look.

How long is Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour, and is it worth buying?

Alright, let’s get real for a second. Much of Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour is just reading and following prompts or engaging in simplistic mini-games, so it’s more of an interactive exhibit than a game you “beat.” But if your goal is to check off plenty of tutorial segments and get some of the medals in the mini-games, you’ll be able to squeeze a few hours of fun out of this strange little game.

For the $10 price tag, Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour provides a pretty solid look at all of the Nintendo Switch 2’s unique features. There’s a whole lot of useful stuff you can learn here, and it’s delivered in a bright and colorful package that certainly feels very “Nintendo” in design. But at the end of the day, it’s a glorified tutorial, meaning that its worth will be largely determined by whether you feel like you need help learning how everything works.

With this in mind, gaming enthusiasts who likely knew how every feature works on the Switch 2 before they even got their hands on one aren’t likely to benefit greatly from the information in Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour—though it’s worth noting that some of the mini-games can be fun. Younger or less experienced players may enjoy learning how to make the most of their new hardware, especially things like Joy-Con functionality and attachment, or even general safety.

We don’t want kids trying to eat the Joy-Cons, after all. They taste terrible anyway. Or so I hear. I wouldn’t know, of course. Can we move on?

Anyway, the bottom line is that Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour would have made a great pack-in title, but it still may be worth the $10 for particular demographics. So, just make your decision based on your gaming experience and whether you enjoy quirky mini-games. As for me, I think I’ll be ripping some Mario Kart World instead.

If Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour sounds like a worthwhile purchase for you, it’s available now exclusively for, well, Nintendo Switch 2. It’s literally in the name. Don’t be weird.

How Long Is The New Version?

by admin June 21, 2025

Image: Atlus

Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army is Atlus remaster of the classic 2006 PS2 game for modern consoles. With a complete battle system overhaul and fantastic quality-of-life features like fast travel and no more random encounters, Raidou Remastered is a much smoother adventure than it was almost 20 years ago.

The Week In Games: A Rebirth, A Remake, And A Remaster

As a spin-off of the Shin Megami Tensei series, the Raidou games are much shorter, so don’t worry about having to sink in 100 hours like you would have to for Persona or Metaphor: ReFantazio. With this remaster on modern platforms comes additional tasks to complete if you want to fully complete everything it has to offer. Get ready to explore 1920s Japan with our ace detective, Raidou Kuzunoha XIV!

How long is Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army?

Raidou Remastered is split into 12 different story chapters that can take up asmuch time as you want. In between fusing demons and fighting you can easily pile on the hours throughout the game. However, if you’re looking to just go along the critical path with minimal side content, you’re looking at about 25-30 hours of playtime to finish the last chapter of the game.

Screenshot: Atlus

To unlock all of the game’s Trophies/Achievements, you’re going to have to complete the Devil Chart (the Demon/Persona Compendium for all you SMT and Persona fans), solve all Case Files (side quests), and defeat all of the game’s optional super bosses. This can add upwards to 30 more hours of gameplay, especially considering that this remaster has included over 50 new demons to the original’s 70, bringing the grand total to more than 120 demons. So be prepared to spend a lot of time fusing all of the demons!

There are also two new difficulty modes. The easier one is called Sleuth, which allows you to experience the story without any significantly hard combat encounters and no game-overs if Raidou falls in battle.

Screenshot: Atlus

The other mode is called Detective Legend, which is the hardest difficulty in the game. It can only be unlocked in New Game+ after completing the story at least once. Beating the game on Detective Legend also unlocks a Trophy/Achievement, so you’ll need to do at least two playthroughs in order to earn all of the Trophies/Achievements, which add up to a total of 50-60 hours alone.

Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army is available now for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2, and Windows PCs.

Solana (SOL) Long Positions Up on Binance: Bullish

Solana (SOL) Long Positions Up on Binance: Bullish

by admin June 21, 2025

According to the latest data from Coinglass, traders are heavily favoring long positions for Solana, indicating growing optimism in the market.

The long/short ratio for SOL/USDT on Binance is 3.07, meaning that for every trader betting on a decline, there are more than three traders betting on a price increase. The ratio is even higher on OKX, reaching 3.62.

This marks growing confidence among both retail and institutional participants. Based on accounts, the long/short ratio is 2.89, and based on positions, it stands at 1.96.

Overall, the 24-hour long/short ratio is 0.95, showing a near-parity between long and short positions. However, exchange-specific data paints a more bullish picture for Solana.

Meanwhile, trading volume in the derivatives market has jumped 35%, reaching $13.87 billion. At the same time, open interest has dropped 7.34%, indicating that some traders may be exiting positions, signaling a sentiment shift or profit-taking behavior.

Options volume has increased nearly 50%, now totaling $1.51 million. However, options open interest has declined by over 22%, suggesting traders are opting for short-term bullish strategies rather than long-term hedges.

Sharp rise in liquidations clears up leveraged positions

Liquidation stats offer additional insights. In the past 24 hours, over $30 million worth of positions were liquidated—of which $26.92 million were long liquidations, while shorts lost only $3.5 million.

At first glance, this appears bearish. However, this could reflect a purge of overleveraged positions before a new upward move.

Short-term intervals (1-hour and 4-hour) revealed more long liquidations, but short liquidations remained low (under $200,000), implying fewer active bearish positions or a retreat from shorts before volatility hit.

You Might Also Like

This signals a market shakeout where weak hands are exiting, and stronger, well-capitalized traders are doubling down on long positions. Strong long/short ratios can be seen as an early indicator of short-term bullish momentum for SOL.

This behavior reflects growing confidence in Solana’s resilience, with increased on-chain activity and mounting ETF interest. At the current price range, the setup may present a favorable entry point for both short-term traders and long-term holders.

Meanwhile, Coinbase executive noted that the firm’s new MiCA license is proof that regulatory clarity leads to opportunity in crypto markets.

Elden Ring Nightreign has a killer first day on Steam, but reviews are surprisingly mixed
Game Reviews

This is why it takes too damn long to revive a downed Elden Ring Nightreign player with three segments

Elden Ring Nightreign represents several key firsts for developer FromSoftware. As intriguing as it is to watch the studio, known for its single-player games, develop a multiplayer-only title that borrows from roguelikes and battle royale games, one has to stop and consider how the team attempted to solve certain problems.

One of the most interesting aspects of Nightreign’s gameplay is the revive mechanic, a feature that does not exist in any recent title from the studio, but one that is crucial to the co-op game’s core design.

The way this works in Nightreign is that, when a player’s HP reaches zero, they enter a down-but-not-out state. That’s pretty standard for multiplayer games, but how you actually revive a downed player is what sets FromSoftware’s latest apart.

In order to get a teammate back up, you need to attack them! How long you have to do that for depends on how many segments their DBNO bar has, which means you could be standing there swinging at them for a while before they’re back up.

You won’t be surprised to learn that, behind the scenes, there’s a formula that controls how this mechanic works. It is, however, quite revealing to look into the raw numbers and calculations the game makes, and how that affects your ability to revive/be revived.

The latest investigation from Souls expert Zullie the Witch – who recently uncovered the true meaning behind all those letter grades assigned to each characters’ attributes – have turned their gaze to Nightreign’s controversial revive mechanic to try and see how it actually works.

As explained in the video above, once a player enters the DBNO state, a 15-second timer starts. If you played – or watched – any Nightreign, you’ll know that the more times you die, the harder it becomes for teammates to be able to revive you.

The video reveals that the first down comes with revive value of 40, represented by one full bar. What you may not realise, however, is that each subsequent down – and thus, a filled bar – increases that value exponentially. The second time you fall, your bar will have two segments, at 45 each, for a total of 90. The third time fills all three bars, except each now has a value of 80, making the total 240 – nearly twice as much as the first two combined.

What makes that process even more frustrating is that you must continue attacking the downed player in order to maintain momentum and deplete all of their bars. If you stop for exactly 3.5 seconds, the bars will start refiling again. Zullie also discovered that the speed at which bars fill back up increases the more bars (more downs) a player has, starting at 2HP per second and going up to 40.

You can, of course, reverse these harsh penalties by staying alive long enough between revives – though you may not always have the chance, depending on how deep into an Expedition you are. The death penalties, according to the video, decrease by just one for every three minutes you’re alive. Alternatively, resting at Site of Grace will reset the whole thing to its default values.

As for whether your weapon or damage type affect the revive speed, the answer is a little complicated. Yes, more damaging weapons will technically make it faster to revive downed teammates, but buffs don’t affect a weapon’s revive damage.

There’s more in the video; it’s definitely worth watching. Among other things, it also explores how spells, and their varying attack chains, could have some bearing on their revive speeds.

514% Liquidation Imbalance Stuns Dogecoin Long Traders

by admin June 17, 2025

Dogecoin (DOGE) long position traders have again been stunned as a 514% liquidation hit the meme coin’s market space. Notably, after DOGE flashed rebound signals, some traders bet on sustained momentum, but volatility turned the tide.

Dogecoin longs take hit as $6.33 million wiped out

According to CoinGlass data, in the last 24 hours, Dogecoin’s total liquidation stood at $7.36 million. Out of this amount, long position traders saw $6.33 million wiped out as price action shifted, resulting in losses. These investors were betting on a sustained recovery as prices lifted, but the volatility of the crypto space prevented it from materializing.

Short position traders recorded about one-sixth of the losses suffered by those betting long on DOGE. A total of $1.03 million was liquidated from short position traders, signaling less exposure on the market.

As of press time, Dogecoin remains in the red zone, declining by 2.74% to trade at $0.1711 in the last 24 hours, according to CoinMarketCap.

Nonetheless, trading volume has witnessed an uptick of 28.23% to $1.25 billion within the same time frame. This suggests that investors use the price dip to accumulate more of the meme coin at a reduced rate.

It remains unclear if DOGE whales are behind the current spike in volume. However, investors hope that the sustained increase could trigger a reversal in the price outlook. In the past week, Dogecoin whales were active, transacting over $23 billion worth of DOGE within 24 hours.

DOGE loses market cap ground to Tron (TRX)

There are lingering concerns in the Dogecoin community as the meme coin faces pressure on the broader crypto market. As U.Today predicted, Dogecoin recently lost the eighth position ranking per market capitalization to Tron (TRX).

Dogecoin was ahead of Tron by about $580 million, but slow price growth caused it to lose against Tron. The only consolation amid the current market setup is that Bitcoin is also experiencing a price decline. Dogecoin investors can only hope that if the leading digital currency rebounds, DOGE might mirror it.
