Lego Brick-Built Star Wars Logo Gets First Price Cut Before Prime Big Deal Days

by admin October 3, 2025

A large selection of Star Wars Lego sets are on sale ahead of next week’s Prime Big Deal Days sale. Amazon’s deals include a bunch of new Star Wars building sets released over the past few months. Arguably the most notable recent model on sale is the Brick-Built Star Wars Logo. The 700-piece replica display model was already a budget-friendly option at its $60 MSRP, but now it’s on sale for only $50. The Brick-Built Logo is one of several Star Wars Day 2025 Lego sets up for grabs for below MSRP.

$50 (was $60)

The Brick-Built Star Wars Logo accurately depicts the legendary design that dates back to Star Wars: A New Hope’s 1977 theatrical release. Exposed studs between the letters add depth and make it clear that this is a Lego set. The rounded edges of the logo are cleverly recreated with a variety of yellow pieces. There’s an Easter Egg hidden inside the letter T that pays homage to Episode IV.

The completed 700-piece model measures 5 x 11.5 x 1 inches. If you’re looking for a Star Wars model to serve as a centerpiece for your display shelf, it probably doesn’t get any more ideal than the series logo constructed from Lego.

The Brick-Built Star Wars Logo launched a few months after the 913-piece Lego Marvel Logo set. That one has yet to be discounted from its $100 price, and it comes with five Marvel minifigures that pop out by pressing buttons on the model.

Amazon & Walmart Deals: New Lego Star Wars Sets

Lego Star Wars: Rebel U-Wing Starfighter | Jango Fett’s Starship

Other Star Wars Day 2025 sets with discounts include the Rebel U-Wing Starfighter and Jango Fett’s Starship for $60 (was $70) each. Jango Fett’s Helmet, another Star Wars Day release, is $65 (was $70). Two Walmart-exclusive Star Wars Day sets, Kylo Ren’s Helmet and his Command Shuttle, are available in a bundle together for $98 (was $140). Walmart also has the Darth Maul Mech bundled with the Sith Infiltrator for $62 (was $88). The Darth Maul Mech launched in June. Both of those are makeshift bundles, but Walmart also has an official Lego Star Wars 3-in-1 Gift Set Bundle for $45.

Amazon also has a few sets that launched over the summer for below MSRP. The Battle Droid with STAP 1,088-piece model is $130 (was $140). Meanwhile, The Clone Wars V-19 Torrent Starfighter, which launched in August, is down to $52 (was $65). And if you haven’t picked up your 2025 holiday calendar, the new Lego Star Wars Advent Calendar is on sale for $38 (was $45).

Lego is retiring a bunch of Star Wars Lego sets soon, including ultra-popular display models like Darth Vader’s Helmet. Check out our roundup collecting all of the deals on Lego Star Wars sets that won’t be around for much longer.

Google’s gradient ‘G’ logo is rolling out everywhere

by admin September 29, 2025

Google is making the gradient “G” its new company-wide logo, according to an announcement on Monday. The new logo first began to surface across the Google app on Android and iOS in May, but soon, the design will begin to appear across all of the company’s platforms, marking Google’s first big logo change in 10 years.

Google separated the red, yellow, green, and blue in the colorful “G” logo it introduced in 2015. The new logo blends everything together and makes the four colors brighter, bringing the design in line with its gradient Gemini logo. Google says the change reflects its “evolution in the AI era.”

Along with a new “G,” Google also quietly updated its Google Home logo to match its new look. Google says the design will start rolling out more widely in the “coming months,” which means you may soon start seeing the gradient look make its way across its other apps, too, like Gmail, Drive, Meet, and Calendar.

Someone Recreated All Of Robocop As The Cracker Barrel Logo

by admin August 25, 2025

After nearly 50 years, Cracker Barrel changed its logo last week. You probably heard or read something about it, as news of the change and the reaction to it became one of the biggest topics on the internet. And so, somehow, that leads us to a person online replacing the Cracker Barrel logo with the entirety of Robocop from 1987.

On August 23, a few days after the Cracker Barrel news had swept the internet and sparked countless blogs and articles (even we wrote about it), Twitter user Kodiak posted to the dying social media site the “full 1987 film RoboCop rendered as the Cracker Barrel logo.” You might be wondering a few things, namely: Why? Well, don’t worry, Kodiak doesn’t want to leave you with a mystery. Why did they re-render RoboCop as the Cracker Barrel logo?  “Because nothing matters,” posted Kodiak.

Is this the ideal way to watch RoboCop? Some might say yes. At least one person has seemingly watched the film on their big screen TV, which is fun to think about. Another question you might be pondering—between never-ending thoughts about Cracker Barrel’s new, boring logo and what it means in relation to modern-day society—is a simple one: Is this legal? I’m not a lawyer. I’d probably say no, but these days it really does seem like law and order is out the window, and the rich and powerful can do whatever they want. Ohhh….wait, now I get why they picked RoboCop for this joke. Funny! (Shout out to Garbage Day for spotting this.)

Anyway, go ahead and watch RoboCop until Twitter kills the video. At the moment, it has over 550k views, so it seems like Elon Musk and whoever still works at Twitter don’t care. Or they forgot the password to the account that lets them delete stuff. Either way, enjoy RoboCop. Or you can go buy and play that awesome RoboCop game from a few years back. Do both at the same time? What do I care? I’m not your dad.

The New Cracker Barrel Logo Sucks

by admin August 21, 2025

Cracker Barrel is changing its iconic and famous logo for the first time in nearly 50 years. Sadly, the new logo sucks, and is part of a larger trend of corporations ditching their unique qualities and going as broad as possible in order to make the line go up. And somehow this new boring logo, according to chuds online, is also an example of “going woke.” Folks, it’s a mess out there.

On August 19, Cracker Barrel announced that it was ditching its 48-year-old logo featuring a man sitting next to a barrel. Instead, the restaurant that specializes in “Southern comfort food” has replaced the well-known logo with a new one that is simply a yellow shape with the Cracker Barrel name slapped on it. It’s the kind of thing that I could whip up in Photoshop in under five minutes, though I wouldn’t get paid the likely tens of thousands of dollars (or more) that the people who actually created the new logo received.

There’s no way around it: The new logo is boring, bland, and bad. People hate it. You don’t have to look hard to find plenty of people online sharing negative thoughts on the new, modernized logo. It’s also part of a larger, less talked-about rebrand that has been happening at Cracker Barrel over the last year or so, with old restaurants ditching their rustic look for chic white walls and modern design touches.

“Our story hasn’t changed. Our values haven’t changed,” said Cracker Barrel’s CMO Sarah Moore. “With ‘All the More,’ we’re honoring our legacy while bringing fresh energy, thoughtful craftsmanship and heartfelt hospitality to our guests this fall.”

The reality is that Cracker Barrel’s “story” has changed, because it is now 2025 and it’s a publicly traded company. In this day and age, you can’t just be a successful restaurant that grandparents bring their grandkids to so they can share stories from “back in my day…” over large portions of so-so comfort food. You can’t just be a profitable company. You have to grow. You must always grow. The stockholders demand it. They’ll cut your head off and replace you if there isn’t steady, never-ending growth. Making that line go up is all that matters, and if that means ditching a classic logo that might have put off some younger eaters,  or laying off people endlessly, so be it. Instead of trying to be one thing for some people, Cracker Barrel and other companies desperate to grow must be many things to everyone. And in trying to appeal to all, Cracker Barrel has stripped itself of its famous logo and unique characteristics, which makes it hard to justify going there for a meal.

Cracker Barrel, Welcome To The Culture War

But of course, also because it is 2025, this logo change can’t just be something we all look at, shake our heads at, maybe make a few jokes or comments about, and then move on from. Nope! Changing the logo has set off a firestorm online among chuds and weirdos, with one of President Trump’s sons complaining about the change as an example of a company “going woke.”

WTF is wrong with @CrackerBarrel??! https://t.co/LkYB5N34Qi

— Donald Trump Jr. (@DonaldJTrumpJr) August 20, 2025

Conservative activist Robby Starbuck posted on Thursday: “Good morning @CrackerBarrel! You’re about to learn that wokeness really doesn’t pay.” Over on the Cracker Barrel subreddit, which is a thing even if it has a very tiny community, you can find a strange mix of people complaining about food while sharing memes calling the food joint “Cucker Barrel.”  “I think it’s time for the Employees and Customers to Stand Up. Go Woke Go Broke,” said one poster. Another person shared a petition to fire the CEO of Cracker Barrel over the changes. The petition had one signature, and the poster had 0 upvotes.

To be clear, I don’t think Cracker Barrel changing a logo is “going woke,” whatever that idiotic complaint means today. Nor do I think it’s an attack on old American values. I do, however, think Cracker Barrel’s simplified logo and shift to more sterile-looking dining rooms are bad and frustrating. I don’t want everything to be targeted to everyone with no distinct traits or features. I’d like to have the choice to go to a place that is filled with old-timey decorations and a charming logo from the ’70s.

Also, Cracker Barrel, a few logo changes and some white walls aren’t going to trick me or younger people into eating there. I say lean into your clientele and make the menus cursive and put rotary phones on each table that you have to use to order your food. Give those grandparents even more stuff to point at and go, “Oh, I bet you don’t know what that is!” while their young grandkids roll their eyes.  Not everything needs to appeal to the masses. That’s how you end up with boring Marvel movies and dull games that are overstuffed with every feature you can think of. And that sounds like a terrible future.
