Geoguessr pro discovers “10/10” pizza spot gatekept by New York local

by admin June 3, 2025

Geoguessr pro Rainbolt felt “challenged” by a local New Yorker who posted about their new favorite pizza joint without naming it in order to keep the masses at bay.

Trevor Rainbolt is a popular online content creator best known for playing Geogessr, an online game where you’re dropped in the middle of an unknown area in Google maps and must guess where you’re at based on nothing but context clues.

Rainbolt has become famous for managing to deduce near-exact locations in mere seconds based on things as obscure as the color of the sky. In fact, he even managed to guess the spot where a man had proposed to his wife in Japan back in 2009.

Lately, Rainbolt has started exposing folks’ favorite food spots that they like to gatekeep in order to avoid dealing with long lines, should they get too popular.

One X user named Adam Fern bemoaned this exact scenario after Barstool’s Dave Portnoy ‘ruined’ their top pizza joint with his viral one-bite food reviews, showing a line down the block.

Rainbolt uncovers foodie’s favorite pizza joint after Dave Portnoy ‘ruined’ his last spot

Luckily, Fern managed to find a new favorite, which they posted about without dropping its name — but they forgot that Rainbolt exists.

“New pizza spot opened near me and honestly it’s about as good as it gets. 10/10. And it’s all mine now until the masses discover it.”

And it’s all mine for now until the masses discover it.

The influencer was tagged by a fan and viewed it as a “challenge” to uncover the spot himself, and, unsurprisingly, it didn’t take long.

Rainbolt used two clues in the post to help him deduce the restaurant — “new pizza spot” and “opened near me.” After doing some digging to find the poster’s approximate location from their social media history, he was able to look up new restaurants in the area that had interiors that matched the photo they’d used in their tweet.

Sure enough, Rainbolt managed to find it — Brooklyn DOP FastLife Pizza on 995A Fulton Street in Brooklyn, New York.

“There’s nothing personal against this,” Rainbolt said. “I honestly just took this as a challenge. It’s probably worth the opportunity to give this pizza place a shout out, because it does look like good pizza.”

Fern has since responded to Rainbolt’s video, admitting that he finds it “beyond amusing to me that strangers cares what I have to say.”

The universe is screaming at me that I need to capitalize on my love of pizza somehow.

First Portnoy, then NY Post, now I’ve been ‘exposed’ by the 1 and only @georainbolt

This isn’t the first time Rainbolt has broken a foodie’s heart by exposing their secret spot; in 2023, he uncovered a TikToker’s favorite bagel place in a video that went viral on social media, much to their chagrin.

TSMC to open up chip design center in Munich to help local chip developers

by admin May 28, 2025

TSMC is set to open its first chip design center in Munich, Germany, in a bid to help local and European chip developers optimize their designs to its process technology, the company announced at its European Technology Symposium in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

The facility in Munich will perform multiple functions to simplify the implementation of chips on its process technologies, as well as helping partners on system-level design. Essentially, the center’s competencies will span from basic assistance in the development of tiny microcontroller units (MCUs) made using mature process technologies for the automotive industry to design technology optimization (DTCO) of advanced processors for AI and HPC applications that rely on leading-edge production nodes.

“We want to bring the best support to the European customer,” said Kevin Zhang, Deputy Co-COO and Senior Vice President of Business Development and Global Sales, at the event. “Here we want to have the design team to be able to directly work with the customer under our fab here, so we can bridge the product design and the manufacturing together. Lots of time we use the term DTCO — design technology co-optimization — [so that is what we are going to do in Munich].

The development center in Munich will be the company’s 10th facility of this kind, but the first one in Europe, which highlights the revival of European chip development in particular and the semiconductor industry in general. TSMC already has nine chip design centers across the world that are located in Canada, China, Japan, Taiwan, and the U.S.

In addition, the world’s largest contract maker of chips has Design Center Alliance (DCA) — a global network of companies — that provide chip implementation services as well as system-level design solutions. Ultimately, these companies can even design chips to order, something that TSMC’s own design centers are not meant to do.

TSMC — along with its partners Bosch, Infineon, and NXP — is currently building its first fab in Europe. The fab, which will be capable of building chips on TSMC’s N12 and N16 (12nm and 16nm-class), is mainly aimed at MCUs, but will certainly make other types of chips. To perform and yield optimally, all chips nowadays require design optimizations that may go beyond what EDA software offers, which is why TSMC needs its design center in Europe.

“It is not like you bring the technology there and you can do manufacturing for the rest of your life,” said Zhang. “That does not work that way. You need to work closely with your end customer to continue to make an improvement. So, by having a design team right here in the heart of the semiconductor land in Europe, we can bridge the customer and the technology manufacturing closer.”

Can Bitcoin Price Sustain Its Bullish Momentum? Analyst Identifies Local Top At $113K

by admin May 25, 2025

Trusted Editorial content, reviewed by leading industry experts and seasoned editors. Ad Disclosure

The Bitcoin price performance has been outstanding over the past week, achieving a new all-time high. In the late hours of Thursday, May 22, the premier cryptocurrency reached a fresh record-high price of $111,807.

While the value of BTC has witnessed a significant correction in the last 24 hours, the market-wide sentiment is positive as investors expect the coin’s price to forge on. However, historical price action data suggest that the Bitcoin price might cool off for a while before resuming its upward rally.

Once BTC Local Top Is In, Altseason Is Next: Analyst

In a recent post on the social media platform X,  crypto analyst Joao Wedson pinpointed a potential local top for the Bitcoin price around $113,000 and $114,000 in the coming days. The on-chain analyst highlighted two primary reasons why the market leader’s bullish momentum might wane in the short term.

Firstly, this bearish projection revolves around the appearance of a long-term trendline on the daily BTC chart. As observed in the chart below, the trendline acts as a resistance level for the Bitcoin price, precipitating multiple rejections since early 2021.

Additionally, the 2021 cycle top (and then all-time-high price) around $69,000 came about after reaching this long-term trendline. Most recently, Bitcoin’s previous all-time-high price of $108,786 culminated around this long-term resistance level.

Wedson also noted that the Bitcoin Aggregated Liquidation Levels Heatmap supports the $113,000 – $114,000 local top theory. According to the liquidation data, the Bitcoin price has suffered a pullback around the $110,000 level over the past six months.

Most interestingly, Wedson pointed out that altcoins could surge back to life in the months following the price of Bitcoin reaching its top. While Bitcoin’s dominance was experiencing a correction in the past week, the metric received a major boost after the price performance of BTC in the last few days.

The talk of an altcoin season has always been in the crypto air since the start of 2025, especially with the price of Bitcoin seemingly reaching a cycle high (at the time). However, the altseason appears to be more of a fantastical idea, as the world’s largest cryptocurrency continues to lead the pack by a significant mile.

Bitcoin Price At A Glance

The price of Bitcoin fell beneath the $109,000 level in the late hours of Friday in what looked like a reaction to United States President Donald Trump’s tariff threat on European Union goods. As of this writing, the flagship cryptocurrency is valued at around $108,500, with a 2.3% price decline in the last 24 hours.
