Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 PS5 Preorders Are Live

by admin September 27, 2025

We’ve seen numerous first-party Xbox games make the jump to PS5 in recent months, and one of the next titles to appear on Sony’s platform is a big one: Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. The latest entry in the long-running flight sim series will land on PS5 on December 8. The game will be available physically and digitally for $70, and preorders are now live. Securing an early copy will unlock an extra aircraft, the Northrop T-38A Talon, to pilot in-game.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2025 (PS5) Preorder Bonus

As mentioned above, preordering any version of Microsoft Flight Simulator on PS5 will unlock the Northrop T-38A Talon as an extra in-game aircraft, letting player fly the supersonic jet immediately once they start the game.

$70 | Releases December 8

For the PS5 release, players can expect the same accurately rendered world, flight paths, and aircraft as the PC and Xbox Series X|S versions of the game. Developer Asobo Studio has added several significant post-launch updates, and the PS5 version will feature up to 125 highly detailed aircraft. Not only can you fly business jets and ultralight airplanes, but Flight Simulator 2024 also includes airships, hot air balloons, rotorcraft, and fight jets.

There’ll also be several PlayStation-exclusive features for this version of Flight Simulator 2024, designed specifically for the DualSense controller. Adaptive triggers will respond to different speeds and surface types on the ground to add a sense of immersion, air traffic control communications will be played through the controller speaker, and there’ll be more features that will utilize the DualSense lightbar, gyro controls, and touchpad. PS VR2 owners will be able to experience the entire game through their headset when a free update for Flight Simulator 2024 arrives in 2026.

$63 (was $130) | Now available

If you’re on Xbox and you haven’t tried it out yet, you can get a good deal on the Premium Deluxe Edition of Flight Simulator 2024. This is for a digital code, but it does unlock the full game, 25 additional aircraft and 10 extra international airports. Normally, you’d pay $130 for this edition, but it is on sale for $63 currently through a limited-time Amazon and Walmart deal.

While Flight Simulator 2024 is perfectly playable with a traditional controller on console, you just can’t beat a proper flight stick for making you feel like you’re really sitting inside of a cockpit. There’s no shortage of these, and while the best models do cost quite a bit, there are affordable alternatives to choose from. The official Flight Simulator 2024 flight stick from Thrustmaster is rock-solid, and attractively priced at $107.

It’s compatible with Xbox Series X|S and PC, and its design offers 10-bit precision with five axes–including Z axis–14 programmable buttons, a rapid-response trigger, and a multidirectional hat switch. All of that hardware is housed in a crisp white shell with Flight Simulator 2024 branding on it, and you can separate the joystick from the throttle.

$150 (was $180)

If you’re looking for realistic yoke controls instead, Logitech does offer a peripheral designed to emulate that piloting setup on PC. Inside the box you’ll find the flight yoke with a long USB connector cable, the flight throttle quadrant, and desk clamps. This controller has a stainless steel yoke shaft designed to provide accurate and smooth control, and for inputs, it’s loaded with a POV hat switch, 14 buttons, and a three-position mode switch for added customization.

This can also be integrated into Logitech’s other flight sim devices thanks to its modular design, so if you want to build a realistic cockpit, the company does offer switches, flight instruments, and radio panels alongside flight rudder pedals.

As noted above, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is one of several Microsoft-published games launching physically on PS5. Some, like with Gears of War: Reloaded, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and Doom: The Dark Ages, are already available, while others are launching soon, such as Ninja Gaiden 4 on October 21 and The Outer Worlds 2 on October 29. Forza Horizon 6 was also confirmed to be in development for Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PS5, with a 2026 release window.

Xbox ROG Ally Prices Revealed, Pre-Orders Now Live

by admin September 27, 2025

Microsoft and Asus have revealed the price points for their two models of the handheld PC, the Xbox ROG Ally. And, unsurprisingly, they’re not cheap.

The Xbox ROG Ally was revealed in June during the Xbox Game Showcase and is an Xbox-branded model of Asus’ Steam Deck competitor, the ROG Ally. The device’s primary selling point is its ability to run Xbox games and apps natively, including those from Game Pass, allowing players to access their Xbox software library on the go. Powered by Windows 11, the Xbox ROG Ally can also run other platforms such as Steam, Battle.net, and GOG.

Launching on October 16, pre-orders are now live in 38 countries for the two models: The ROG Ally and the more powerful ROG Ally X. Here’s what they cost:

Xbox ROG Ally X (1TB): $999.99

Xbox ROG Ally (512GB): $599.99

These premium prices were to be expected (especially since the standard ROG Allies are generally quite expensive), but the sticker price may sting from potential Xbox converts still reeling from Microsoft’s recent announcement of a second price increase to its Xbox Series consoles starting next week. Xbox and Asus likely knew it would have to bite the bullet as well, as they seemingly withheld revealing the price for as long as possible while eying the economy to determine the appropriate pricing. It will be interesting to see how many players will be willing to shell out that kind of money for an ROG Ally, given the rising prices of video game hardware across the board going into the holiday season.

If you’re looking to buy an Xbox ROG Ally but can’t decide between the two models, you can read more about the specs of each version here. Do you plan on buying an Xbox ROG Ally? Let us know in the comments.

ROG Xbox Ally Prices Revealed, Preorders Are Live At Amazon

by admin September 26, 2025

Asus has revealed the launch prices of the ROG Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X in the US. The ROG Xbox Ally is $600, while the more powerful Xbox Ally X clocks in at $1,000. The first Xbox-branded gaming handhelds launch October 16, and preorders are starting to go live at major retailers. The ROG Xbox Ally is up for preorder at Amazon, Walmart, and Best Buy. The Xbox Ally X is only listed at Best Buy and the Microsoft Store (for now). An official carrying case is up for preorder for $70 at Amazon.

The $600/$1,000 price points are higher than some expected, though not all that surprising. After Best Buy quickly removed $550/$850 prices from the Xbox Ally store pages, it seemed likely that the prices of both devices would be at least a bit higher. As with many new tech products this year, Asus and Microsoft waited longer than usual to announce price points and preorder details. The ongoing tariff situation in the US has led to price increases for PlayStation, Nintendo, and Xbox hardware in 2025. Just last week, Microsoft announced price increases for the Xbox Series X|S in the US; the new prices take effect October 3.

Check out the specifications of each ROG Xbox Ally handheld below.

$1,000 | Releases October 16

The ROG Xbox Ally X, the more powerful of the two devices, has an AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor (Zen 5), 24GB DDR5 RAM, and a 1TB SSD. The Z2 Extreme is 8-core, 16-thread CPU; the GPU has 16 cores and is built on RDNA 3.5 architecture.

The grips are inspired Xbox Wireless Controller, and it has all of the inputs found on an Xbox controller as well as a pair of remappable back buttons.

Other small differences found on the X version: The UHS-II microSD card reader also reads UHS-I cards–the base model only reads UHS-I. One of the USB Type-C ports is USB4, while the other is USB 3.2 Type-C. On the base model, both Type- ports are USB 3.2. Xbox’s Impulse Triggers are found on the Ally X, while the base model has Hall Effect triggers.

Specs:

  • Processor: AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme
  • RAM: 24GB LPDDR5X-8000
  • Storage: 1TB M.2 2280 SSD

$600 | Releases October 16

The ROG Xbox Ally has an AMD Ryzen Z2 A processor (Zen 4), 16GB of DDR5 RAM, and a 512GB SSD. The Z2 A has half the number of CPU cores (4) and threads (8) as the Z2 Extreme. The number of GPU cores is also cut in half (8), and the GPU is built on RDNA 2 architecture. Overall, the ROG Xbox Ally looks to be comparable to the Steam Deck OLED in terms of specs.

Both models have 7-inch FHD IPS displays made of Gorilla Glass with 120Hz refresh rates and FreeSync.

Specs:

  • Processor: AMD Ryzen Z2 A
  • RAM: 16GB LPDDR5X-6400
  • Storage: 512GB M.2 2280 SSD
  • Display:
    • 7″ FHD IPS (Gorilla Glass Victus)

  • Network: Wi-Fi 6E / Bluetooth 5.4
  • Battery: 80Wh
  • Weight: 670g
  • Dimensions: 290.8 x 121.5 x 50.7mm

Comparisons to the Xbox Series X|S are natural due to the branding, but it’s worth emphasizing that these devices aren’t really Xbox handhelds. The ROG Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X are Windows PCs running custom UI that will remind players of the Xbox. At the end of the day, though, the ROG Xbox Ally is playing Windows versions of games. As such, the prices are more aligned with other Windows handhelds like the regular Asus-branded ROG Ally handhelds, Lenovo Legion Go, and MSI Claw. But that also means you aren’t restricted to the Xbox Store; you can launch Steam, GOG Galaxy, the Epic Games Store, and any other PC game client supported by Windows.

ROG Xbox Ally Accessories

Asus 2-in-1 Hard Case | Asus 100W Charger Dock

Official Accessories:

We also know the prices of two official ROG Xbox Ally accessories from Asus: A $70 hardshell carrying case with a built-in stand and accessories pouch, and a 100W Charger Dock. This is an AC adapter with a built-in HDMI 2.0 port and two USB 2.0 ports for accessories. It can be used to connect the ROG Xbox Ally to a monitor or TV.

Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2025 Broadcast live – watch it with us

by admin September 25, 2025

Xbox is running a special Tokyo Game Show 2025 broadcast today and you can watch it with us right here. Bertie and Tom will be sharing their thoughts in what might be a show with a neat surprise or two or a show mostly focused on games we already know about along with a few nods to Game Pass. The show starts at 11am BST, today.

So, what could these neat surprises be? Well, there has been talk of the next Forza Horizon being set in Japan, so they’d announce that in Japan, right? Today? Maybe, maybe not. We’ve got our fingers crossed. We’re bound to get a look at next month’s Ninja Gaiden 4, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see some games from Square Enix, even if they are already available on other platforms.

Superhero Roleplaying now live on Kickstarter

by admin September 24, 2025

The official Invincible TTRPG by Free League Publishing is now live on Kickstarter:

Invincible – Superhero Roleplaying, the upcoming tabletop roleplaying game by Free League Publishing and Skybound Entertainment, is now live on Kickstarter. The campaign was fully funded in just 30 minutes, surpassing its initial goal of $50,000 USD.

This latest RPG from fan-favorite and multiple award-winning publisher Free League is based on Skybound’s groundbreaking comic book series Invincible by Robert Kirkman (The Walking Dead), Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley, which is also a hit animated series on Prime Video.

Early backers who make a pledge for a physical reward within the first 48 hours of the Kickstarter launch will receive an exclusive cloth patch bearing their choice of the Invincible suit design or the symbol of the Viltrum Empire, home of Omni-Man, at no additional cost.

Backers can also download a completely free Quickstart PDF to get a taste of the game right away. This Quickstart will also be launched as a free content module on the Foundry virtual tabletop during the course of the campaign.

Check out the Invincible – Superhero Roleplaying Kickstarter campaign here.

The Kickstarter will include a comprehensive Core Rulebook – in a standard and an exclusive Collector’s Edition – and a boxed Starter Set, both with illustrations by Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley and graphic design by Johan Nohr (MÖRK BORG).

If unlocked as a stretch goal in this campaign, Skybound will print a limited run of Invincible #1 with a brand-new variant cover drawn and inked by Todd Nauck and colored by Matt Herms. If unlocked, all physical pledge backers will receive one copy of this unique item, which is exclusive to this Kickstarter campaign and will never be printed again.

More About Invincible – Superhero Roleplaying

The Invincible universe is filled with everything we love about superhero stories – costumes and capes, epic brawls across cityscapes, sidekicks, team-ups, alien invasions, witty banter, alternate dimensions, and much more – though these familiar elements are often subverted in surprising ways. Any trope can exist, and any trope can be turned on its head.

In this action-packed storytelling experience, players take on the role of superheroes in their own corners of the Invincible universe. Whether you choose to play an established character from the comic or create your own, this game is the story of what happens to your superheroes – the protagonists of your own saga.

You might be a wisecracking speedster, a super-genius inventor, a grizzled vigilante, a shape-shifting alien, or a high-flying symbol of hope. Whatever you play and wherever you go, you’ll have to juggle relationships with patrols, face tough challenges and choices, and learn how to use your powers… and learn more about yourself in the process.

Who knows? You might be INVINCIBLE.

Invincible – Superhero Roleplaying Core Rulebook Key Features:

  • Your Superhero: Instructions for how to create your very own hero.
  • Powers & Talents: Details on superpowers, talents, and drawbacks that signify what kind of hero you’re playing.
  • Action & Combat: Rules for combat, damage, recovery, adversaries, and challenges.
  • The Invincible Universe: A primer providing guidance on how to capture the feel of the setting, and descriptions of key locations and organizations.
  • Running the Game: Guidance intended for the GM about how to prepare and run a game session.
  • Campaign Play: Tools to help set up campaigns, events and encounters, and non-player characters.
  • Dramatis Personae: Descriptions and statistics for dozens of key characters from the Invincible universe.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps Limited Edition Steelbook Preorders Are Live

by admin September 23, 2025

The Fantastic Four: First Steps is now available to watch from your couch by purchasing the digital edition from Prime Video or another streaming service. But if you’re willing to wait a few more weeks, the physical editions offer much better value than the $30 digital edition. Walmart has opened preorders for five different editions of First Steps on 4K Blu-ray, Blu-ray, and DVD, including a handsome Limited Edition Steelbook for $45. The Steelbook Edition and the regular $30 4K Blu-ray edition come with 1080p Blu-ray and digital editions. And if you don’t need 4K resolution, the standard Blu-ray edition is up for grabs for as low as $25–though there is a Walmart-exclusive Blu-ray with pop-up art for $30.

The physical editions of The Fantastic Four: First Steps release October 14. We’ll update this story with Amazon preorder links once they are available.

$45 | Releases October 14

The steelbook case gels with the retro-futuristic trappings of the film with colorful character art against a muted backdrop. It almost looks like an advertisement for a classic sitcom. The front of the case features Mister Fantastic (Pedro Pascal), Invisible Woman (Vanessa Kirby), The Thing (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), Human Torch (Joseph Quinn), and H.E.R.B.I.E. (voiced by Matthew Wood). The back of the case includes headshots of the team in their normal human forms with Galactus (Ralph Ineson) looming overhead and Silver Surfer (Julia Garner) flying on her cosmic surfboard.

The Limited Edition Steelbook comes with 4K and 1080p Blu-ray discs as well as a voucher to claim the digital edition from Movies Anywhere. The 4K disc supports Dolby Vision and HDR10. Audio formats for all 4K and Blu-ray editions include DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 surround sound and Dolby Digital 2.0. Subtitles are available in English, Spanish, and French.

All 4K and 1080p Blu-ray editions include several featurettes, a director audio commentary, and several other pieces of bonus content.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps Special Features

  • Meet the First Family with director Matt Shakman and the cast
  • Fantastic Futurism: Discussion on retro-futuristic aesthetic
  • From Beyond and From Below: Discussion on adapting the comic books.
  • Audio Commentary with director Matt Shakman and production designer Kasra Farahani
  • Gag Reel
  • Deleted Scenes

The Fantastic Four: First Steps Editions:

As usual for Marvel movies, Walmart has an exclusive 1080p Blu-ray edition of First Steps with pop-up art. The slipcover unfolds to create a 3D display of the superhero team in the FantastiCar.

The Pop-Up Edition costs five bucks more than the standard edition Blu-ray, and both versions come with a digital version of the film, too.

If you want to create a sprawling display of Marvel pop-up art, Walmart still has Pop-Up Editions of several other recent Marvel movies, including Deadpool and Wolverine, Thunderbolts, and Captain America: Brave New World.

Jimmy Kimmel Live! Returns Following Disney Boycott

by admin September 22, 2025

Tomorrow, Jimmy Kimmel will return to host his late-night show after it was “indefinitely” put on hold on September 17 by Disney following remarks he made about Charlie Kirk in the wake of the conservative commentator’s assassination earlier this month. The decision prompted a large amount of backlash from fans, actors, and comedians, and led to calls for a Disney boycott.

On September 22, Disney and ABC confirmed via a statement shared with the press that Jimmy Kimmel Live! will return to the air following a near-weeklong hiatus that came after the comedian spoke about Kirk’s assassination and his thoughts on how some Republican politicians, including President Trump, and other conservative commentators acted in the days that followed the shooting.

“Last Wednesday, we made the decision to suspend production on the show to avoid further inflaming a tense situation at an emotional moment for our country,” said Disney and ABC in a statement. “It is a decision we made because we felt some of the comments were ill-timed and thus insensitive. We have spent the last days having thoughtful conversations with Jimmy, and after those conversations, we reached the decision to return the show on Tuesday.”

Since last week, Marvel and Star Wars actors like Pedro Pascal and Mark Hamill have spoken out publicly against Disney and ABC’s decision to suspend production on Kimmel’s popular late-night talk show after he joked that many members of the “MAGA gang” hit a new “low” after many of them tried to “score political points” from Kirk’s assassination. He also directly called out Trump’s awkward and cold reaction to Kirk’s death when asked multiple times about it, despite Trump claiming to call Kirk a friend. At no point, as documented extensively, did Kimmel joke about Kirk’s death. Yet that didn’t matter. FCC Chairman and Trump loyalist Brendan Carr threatened to investigate ABC and pull its broadcast licenses over Kimmel’s monologue. So Disney Entertainment Co-Chairman Dana Walden and CEO Bob Iger capitulated instantly and shut the show down.

This is a developing story…

Lawsuit over ownership of Sonic theme Live and Learn dismissed, but Fortnite collab proves song remains in “limbo”, says songwriter

by admin September 22, 2025

A lawsuit over the rights to the Sonic the Hedgehog song Live and Learn has been dismissed, but the songwriter claims the song “remains in ‘limbo'”.

Last year, Crush 40 musician and songwriter Johnny Gioeli sued Sega of America over ownership of the Sonic Adventure 2 theme song, ahead of its feature throughout the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 film.

At the time, Gioeli claimed Sega had the rights to the lyrics, but not the “master recording musical composition”. However, “unbeknownst” to the songwriter, the company had “exploited and licensed” the song in “at least 25 video games, television shows, live performances/events and films”.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds – Come Race on Our Level CommercialWatch on YouTube

In a new statement, Gioeli stated the case against Sega was dismissed “based on time, not on ownership” and so the song remains in “limbo”.

The reason for the statement? Sonic’s forthcoming appearance in Fortnite – we reported last week on leaks suggesting Sonic and Shadow are headed to the battle royale.

“Just two weeks ago, I was contacted by Epic Games to potentially use Live and Learn,” stated Gioeli, “and the amazing part is Sega had them call ME for the rights to use the song. So there you have it. The most epic song remains in the ‘abyss of ownership’.”

Gioeli added: “The song is mine. I wrote it with Jun [Senoue], I sing it, I created the melody, I recorded my vocals in my studio, and they do not own it.”

News of the lawsuit emerged last year ahead of both Sonic x Shadow Generations and the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 film, both of which make use of the song in their soundtracks.

Gioeli’s latest comments precede not just the Fortnite collaboration, but the release this week of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds.

A leak last week, showed more unannounced DLC is on the way to the racing game.

Digitap’s live crypto card app raises $100k and counting

Ripple ends years-long SEC battle, clears XRP for retail sales as DigiTap eyes chance to capture momentum.

Ripple’s courtroom battle with the SEC was a hot story in crypto for nearly half a decade. In 2025, both sides finally dropped their appeals, which brought the case to a close. The resolution gave XRP a clearer position in the market: not a security when sold to retail buyers, but still subject to oversight when institutions are involved.

Ripple also regained the ability to raise capital under Regulation D exemptions after the SEC waived its “bad actor” disqualification. Ripple can now move forward with larger plans, such as applying for a national bank charter.

The settlement was seen as a partial victory and a milestone for U.S. crypto regulation. Still, years of fighting in court left a mark that will not fade quickly. Ripple lost valuable time fighting regulators instead of scaling.

Even with the case resolved, doubts remain about how fast Ripple can rebuild momentum after so many years of distraction. This is the opening DigiTap is seizing.

Ripple’s missed opportunity

To upgrade cross-border payments, Ripple reduced costs and made transfers faster than the traditional SWIFT system. The idea was ambitious, and early partnerships with big banks indicated potential.

But years of legal battles slowed progress and kept many institutions on the sidelines. With XRP’s status uncertain, most were not ready to fully commit.

The courtroom fight also reshaped Ripple’s image. For a long stretch, the project was linked more to lawsuits and appeals than to innovation. By the time the case finally closed, the market had already moved forward.

Demand has grown for platforms that go beyond settlements to offer a full banking experience. Ripple’s narrow focus and the years lost in court have left it at a disadvantage.

DigiTap’s clean slate

Digitap enters the sector without legal baggage and with a broader vision. Instead of building only a settlement layer, Digitap is constructing an omni-banking platform that merges fiat and crypto into a single app.

Users can hold multiple currencies, swap them instantly, send money globally, and spend with physical or virtual cards. The platform also integrates privacy tools, offshore account options, and enterprise-grade security.

Most importantly, Digitap has already delivered its first phase of the roadmap. Desktop and mobile apps went live for beta testing, ensuring the core product exists before the presale. This “build first, then raise” approach is unusual in crypto and gives the project a stronger foundation than token sales launched on promises alone.

Phase 2 is now underway with the TAP presale. The presale began at $0.0125, with the next stage set at $0.0159. In its first 24 hours, it generated nearly $100,000 — a strong start for the project.

Unlike Ripple’s slow grind through legal channels, Digitap has been able to move quickly, delivering a product and raising capital in parallel.

Tokenomics and utility

The TAP token underpins Digitap’s ecosystem. With a capped supply of 2 billion, it avoids the dilution concerns that plague some projects.

Most of the supply is set aside for the presale, marketing, and community rewards. The team’s share is only 1%, and those tokens are locked for five years; a focus on long-term growth over quick profits.

TAP is also designed with clear utility. It reduces fees on the platform, unlocks loyalty rewards and cashback, and grants voting rights in governance. A share of platform fees will be used to buy back and burn TAP, steadily reducing supply over time.

This direct link between platform activity and token scarcity is something Ripple’s XRP lacks.

A different path forward

Ripple now has clarity, but it also has history. Years spent in legal deadlock created hesitation among banks and investors. Even with its “bad actor” disqualification lifted, Ripple still carries the reputation of a project weighed down by regulatory battles.

Digitap, on the other hand, offers a clean slate. It is not bound to old partnerships or slowed by courtroom politics. Instead, it has the chance to scale quickly, appealing directly to both individuals and businesses.

By focusing on integration — banking, payments, transfers, and crypto management in one app — Digitap is targeting a larger opportunity than Ripple ever pursued.

The banking revolution will not be won by the speed of settlements alone. It will be defined by who can make global finance simple, accessible, and efficient. Ripple may continue to operate as an institutional settlement network, but Digitap is building the framework for everyday use.

Lost time, stalled adoption, and limited scope mean Ripple faces an uphill climb even with a partial victory. Digitap is arriving at the right moment with no such baggage, a live product, and a presale that has already shown strong progress.
