LEGO’s Final Prime Day Generosity, Star Wars Ahsoka Ghost and Phantom II Spaceship Hits Lowest Price

by admin October 8, 2025

LEGO is one of those brands that pretty much anyone can enjoy. Doesn’t matter if you’re just a kid or a kid at heart in an adult-sized body. Building a LEGO set piece by piece is fun, peaceful, and rewarding all at the same time. Plus at the end, you have some sick Marvel or Star Wars toy to play with or display. The only problem is LEGO can be crazy expensive, and the rare times they do go on sale, it’s not that hefty of a discount or sells out in minutes. We’ve been greeted with a rare exception though thanks to Prime Big Deals Days. Amazon has the LEGO Star Wars Ahsoka Ghost and Phantom II spaceships for 30% off. The set is normally priced at $160, but that discount brings it down to just $112. You’ll end up saving a whole $48.

The Ghost is the main spaceship helmed by the heroes of the Star Wars Rebels animated series in the Spectres rebel cell’s long fight against the forced of the Galactic Empire. Later, when Disney announced an Ahsoka series, we all knew that would mean seeing more characters and iconography from the animated Star Wars canon. Sure enough, we got the Ghost in live action. And now, in LEGO.

2 LEGO Star Wars Ship

This 1,394-piece set contains both the modified VCX-100 light freighter known as the Ghost and its auxiliary vessel the Phantom II (first one was destroyed at Reklam Station so it does not come in LEGO form).

The Ghost included two lever-activated spring-loaded shooters, a cockpit with a removable front which can fit two minifigure pilots, two hatches that open up, plus a turret with a hood that can fit a minifigure working the gun.

The Phantom II shuttle also has an opening LEGO minifigure cockpit plus a storage compartment. I can even connect to the Ghost freighter.

The full build measures in at over 4.5 inches high, 13.5 inches long ,and 10.5 inches wide. It’s not ginormous like some of the Death Star or Star Destroyer builds but it’s no Happy Meal toy either.

The build becomes easier when using the LEGO Builder app. You can view each step with a 3D digital version to see all those weird angles that don’t print well in the instruction booklet, allowing you to zoom in and rotate the model around. You can even save your progress if you need to walk away from your build partway through.

For Prime Big Deals Day, save $48 on the LEGO Star Wars Ahsoka Ghost and Phantom II spaceships.

This week’s best deals include half off Paramount Plus, Legos, and more

by admin September 13, 2025

It’s September, and many among us are dealing with back to school, and anticipating the colder weather that’s on its way (at least, if you live in the northern climes). This, plus a somewhat fraught political atmosphere, means that you might be looking for reliable, affordable ways to escape the doldrums.

You don’t need us to tell you that a way to do that is by watching some movies and TV shows. Through September 18th, Paramount is offering a doozy of a deal on both tiers of its Plus streaming service. You can save 50 percent on an annual subscription to Paramount Plus Essential, or its mostly ad-free Premium plan. The Essential Plan is down to $29.99 (from $59.99) and a Premium plan goes to $59.99 (from $119.99). The neat thing is that you can take advantage of this whether you’re a new or a returning subscriber (but be careful to mark your calendar; it will renew after that year at full price).

It’s a tempting deal, whether you go for the ad-supported Essential or the skip-the-ads Premium. The latter also lets you download your shows, which could be very handy when you’re traveling with kids, and from its library of Showtime Originals. Either way, you not only get recent shows like Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the entire Yellowstone catalog, Top Gun: Maverick, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, and Bob Marley: One Love, but animation series like South Park and SpongeBob Squarepants, and live NFL games. Also, it hosts every Mission Impossible movie, aside from the latest one, The Final Reckoning.

Lego's September Releases Set Sail in More Ways Than One

Lego’s September Releases Set Sail in More Ways Than One

by admin September 2, 2025

Thought Lego would take a break from the realm of big boats after it launched One Piece as part of its blockbuster August? Well, thanks to last week’s surprise announcement of a new Pirates of the Caribbean set, we can think again. And yet, it’s not the only boat on the horizon for this month.

After going all out for its big summer release wave in August, things are definitely a bit quieter in September for Lego. But that doesn’t mean big things aren’t coming: the new Black Pearl and a funky Charlie and the Chocolate Factory set bring the boats, while a whole new wave of Wicked sets prepares us for For Good‘s arrival in a couple months. And that’s even before you get into the Spider-Verse swinging in for Lego’s next wave of Collectible Minifigures!

Check out our breakdown below for all the must-get Lego releases this month.

Lego Batman Arkham Asylum

© Lego

A grand upgrade on the classic Arkham Asylum playset from years ago, this nearly 3,000-piece set comes with a whopping 16 minifigures, from Batman and stalwart allies Batwing, Batwoman, and Robin to Arkham Guards and a whole host of deadly inmates like Joker, Harley, Killer Croc, Penguin, Poison Ivy, and more to fill out the myriad wings of the asylum—which itself is jam-packed with Easter eggs and references to Batman history. ($300, available here from September 9)

Lego Wicked Sets

Lego’s off to see the wizard once more—and this time, it means it. While the first Wicked movie got some support from the brickmaker with a couple sets, the arrival of For Good means the company is going all the way out with a huge line, with minidoll sets inspired by key events from the new film. But collectors yearning for minifigure Wicked goodness should rejoicify: there’s both a set of bookends and a huge new Ozian entry to the Lego Wall Art range that brings Glinda and Elphaba to minifigure life alongside the Fab Five themselves from Wizard of Oz and other key characters from the musical.

Lego Wall-E and EVE

© Lego

Years after Wall-E controversially hit the Lego Ideas lineup (remember that issue with the head joint? What a time to be alive), the pint-sized Pixar droid returns, and this time he’s brought some very adorable friends. The newly updated Wall-E build now includes an EVE to pair him up with, alongside M-O, the cleaner droid, and even lil’ Hal, the cockroach! ($70, available here)

Lego Icons Pirates of the Caribbean Captain Jack Sparrow’s Pirate Ship

© Lego

Announced just last week, Lego’s long-awaited return to Pirates of the Caribbean brings us a fresh take on the legendary Black Pearl and some very key minifigures. Of course Jack is included, but Will, Elizabeth, Barbossa, Gibbs, and more flesh out the roundup. ($380, available here from September 12 for Lego Insiders, September 15 widely)

Lego Advent Calendars

It might not even be Halloween yet, but that’s not stopping Lego from getting into a different kind of holiday spirit as it prepares its annual swath of calendar sets. There’s quite a range available this year, but it’s no surprise our favorite of the selection this time around might just be the droid-themed Star Wars calendar, filled with fun minifigures and builds to flesh out your own seasonal workshop.

Lego Ideas Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory

© Lego

The next major Ideas set takes us to a world of imagination and the classic 1971 take on Roald Dahl’s whimsical, confection-filled adventure. As well as a host of minifigures inspired by the beloved movie (including, of course, Gene Wilder’s Wonka), this zany build includes a moving chocolate waterfall, Willy’s office, and plenty of candy-themed flora dotted alongside the chocolate river. And yes, there are plenty of golden tickets included. ($220, available here from September 18)

Lego Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Collectible Minifigures

© Lego

The newest blind-box Collectible Minifigures range returns to the world of Marvel with a twist, swinging into the animated Spider-Verse with a whole series inspired by the second movie in the trilogy, Across the Spider-Verse. The 12-strong lineup includes stalwarts like Miles, Gwen, Peter B. Parker (and Mayday), and Miguel O’Hara; deep cuts like Spider-Byte and the Webslinger; and perhaps a contender for Minifigure of the Year in Werewolf Spider-Man. ($5 each, available here)

Lego Super Mario World Pixel Art Model Gets Rare Price Cut At Amazon And Walmart

Lego’s Retro Super Mario World Model Gets Huge Limited-Time Discount At Walmart

by admin September 2, 2025

Lego Super Mario World: Mario & Yoshi is on sale for 20% off at Walmart thanks to the retailer’s newly launched Bricktember Sale. The promotion is loaded with exclusive Lego bundles as well as deals on rarely discounted sets. Walmart’s deal drops the price of the 1,215-piece pixel art display model to only $104 (was $130). The Bricktember Sale also includes the largest Lego Super Mario expansion playset. The 1,392-piece Bowser Express Train is discounted to only $80 (was $120).

Last week, Walmart and Amazon both had the Super Mario World Lego set for $117. Only Walmart has the $104 deal at this time, but Amazon’s $117 deal is still active. Lego Super Mario World: Mario & Yoshi launched last October and is one of only a handful of Nintendo Lego sets geared toward adults that is actively being produced today.

$104 (was $130)

Lego Super Mario World: Mario and Yoshi is a 1,215-piece set that authentically captures the pixelated aesthetic from the Super Nintendo era. It’s a fun build to piece together and a fitting display piece for all Super Mario fans, but especially those with a fondness for the 16-bit character designs.

The completed model is 15.5 x 10 x 4 inches and features several interactive components. There’s a dial behind Yoshi’s head that extends his tongue. The crank on the side of the base creates a more elaborate animation. Yoshi’s legs move to make it appear as if he is running. Adding to the illusion is the figure’s quick bouncing motion. Yoshi’s head inches forward and back, and Mario’s cape sways gently, just as it does in the game.

It also has an Action Tag, so if you own one of the Adventures with Lego Super Mario starter courses, the Interactive figures (Mario, Luigi, or Peach) will react.

Lego did a wonderful job making the instructions easy to follow. I used a combination of the physical instruction booklet and the Lego Builder app on iPad. The square pieces used to create the “pixel art” are numbered in the booklet, which was extremely helpful for me as someone with colorblindness.

Though technically part of Lego’s 18-plus “for adults” line, kids who have assembled sets in the 1,000-piece probably won’t have any issues.

Lego Super Mario World: Mario & Yoshi is one of only eight Lego Nintendo display models designed for adults. Earlier this year, Lego launched a 1,972-piece Mario Kart display model for $170. The elaborate build features Mario’s iconic red kart and the first realistic Lego replica of the character’s modern 3D look.

On October 1, exactly one year after Lego Super Mario World: Mario & Yoshi’s launch, Lego’s highly anticipated Game Boy replica will be available at major retailers and the Lego Store. The 421-piece display set only costs $60 and includes two buildable cartridges, three lenticular screens, multiple display stands, and several interactive features. Check out our Lego Game Boy preorder guide for more details, and keep in mind multiple retailers have sold out of preorders numerous times. Preorders sold out at Amazon in late August, but Walmart restocked the Lego Game Boy around the same time.

Lego Nintendo Building Sets for Adults

The most affordable Lego Nintendo display model is the 540-piece Piranha Plant, which you can find on sale at Amazon and Walmart for just $48 (was $60).

Save on the largest Lego Super Mario Playset

Lego Super Mario: The Bowser Express Train

As mentioned, The Bowser Express Train is the largest Lego Super Mario playset by piece count. There are a few Lego Nintendo display models for adults with more pieces–The Mighty Bowser is the biggest overall with approximately twice as many pieces–but the 1,392-piece Bowser’s Express Train is considered a Lego Super Mario Expansion Set. Based on The Bowser Express level in Super Mario 3D World, this elaborate and well-designed build has four train cars, a makeshift station, and numerous interactive elements such as a spring-loaded shooter. It comes with six buildable Lego Super Mario figures.

Up until now, The Bowser Express Train hadn’t received any notable discounts–it almost always sold for full price–so now’s your chance to save $40 on this awesome Bowser-themed Lego set.
