Nintendo’s own Zurich Pop Con display reveals five Lego games are getting Switch 2 ports

by admin September 28, 2025

A number of Tt Lego games could be on the way for Nintendo Switch 2, including Lego games based on notable franchises like Star Wars and Harry Potter.

Whilst not confirmed by either Nintendo or Lego directly, an eagle-eyed fan spotted a number of classic Lego games advertised under the Switch 2 banner at Zurich Pop Con over the weekend. Of the five games included on the banner, not a single one has been formally announced for Switch 2, although all are available on the OG Switch.

However, all five games included on the banner – LEGO City Undercover, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, LEGO Jurassic World, LEGO Harry Potter Collection, and LEGO DC Super-Villains – are clearly badged beneath a Switch 2 logo.

With several other images purportedly taken at the same event, it would appear to suggest the image is authentic, leading many fans to hope a formal announcement is coming soon. Until then, of course, all we can do is chalk this up to a convincing rumour and wait for the official reveal.

If you’re looking for the best deals for Switch 2 memory cards, cases, chargers, and other peripherals like headsets, webcams and controllers, we’ve got you covered. Earlier this week, we learned Nintendo of America president Doug Bowser is set to retire at the end of the year, and will be succeeded by the company’s first female president, Devon Pritchard.

Amazon Restocks Exclusive Lego Formula 1 Collector’s Pack Six Months After Selling Out

by admin September 28, 2025

Collectors of Lego’s wide-ranging race car models and Formula 1 fans have another chance to buy the Amazon-exclusive 10-in-1 bundle that quickly sold out at launch earlier this year. The Lego Speed Champions: Ultimate Formula 1 Collector’s Pack has received a surprise restock six months after selling out. Released in March, this massive box set includes all 10 Lego Speed Champions F1 cars in the series and an exclusive poster. The Ultimate F1 Collector’s Pack retails for $270 and features 10 officially licensed race cars, 10 Lego minifigures, an exclusive poster, and a giant display box showcasing the 2,601-piece collection.

The bundle was only available for a few weeks after launch before it sold out. Prior to Amazon’s restock this month, there was no indication the bundle would return, but Amazon must have saved some units for the holiday season. In addition to this restock, Amazon has deals on a bunch of Formula 1 Lego sets across multiple collections.

$270 | Amazon Exclusive

Lego had released Formula 1 models before this year, but those were usually one-offs, whereas this year’s expanded partnership featured the 10 Speed Champions cars, a collection of Lego City playsets, new Technic display models, and even a “minifigure” with 12 mini F1 cars.

This year’s Lego Speed Champions F1 collection includes popular race cars from Aston Martin, Mercedes, McLaren, Ferrari, Williams Racing, and more. The race cars measure approximately 8 inches long and 3 inches wide. Piece counts range from 242 to 269.

We’ve listed all 10 cars included with the Ultimate Formula 1 Collector’s Pack below. Each set is also sold separately with a retail price of $27. It’s worth noting that buying each set separately would cost you about $242 at the moment due to Amazon offering small discounts on most of the cars.

Ultimate Formula 1 Collector’s Pack:

The aforementioned Lego F1 miniature race car collection is discounted at Amazon and Walmart right. Normally $30, the mystery boxes with six cars each are up for grabs for only $20. There are 12 cars to collect, and each box contains six different models. Just know that if you buy more than one, you’re likely to get duplicates.

More Lego Speed Champions F1 Cars

The Ultimate Collector Pack isn’t the first lego Formula 1 exclusive at Amazon. Last year, Amazon was the exclusive retail partner for the McLaren Racing Pack, a combo Speed Champions and Technic bundle with two cars and 697 pieces. The McLaren Racing Pack is officially retired but Amazon still has it in stock for $77. The McLaren Speed Champions F1 car that’s included is also available separately for $23. The Technic car in the bundle is actually Formula E, not F1, and it’s available for $40 (was $50) at Amazon. Both models in the bundle are pull-back cars.

The Lego Speed Champions Mercedes-AMG sports car and SUV bundle below isn’t Formula 1, but it’s worth highlighting here The 808-piece Speed Champions bundle is on sale for only $30.59.

Lego Technic Formula 1 Sets

Lego Technic: McLaren Formula 1 2022 Race Car (1,432 pieces)

For a different kind of small-scale F1 build, check out the Lego Technic Mercedes-AMG F1 W14 E Pull-Back Car for $21.55 (was $27). A large display model version of this car is also available for $209 (was $220). At the moment, the best deal on one of the bigger F1 Lego sets is the 1,432-piece McLaren Formula 1 2022 for $160 (was $200).

Lego City Formula 1 Sets

Lego City Formula 1 playsets

Lego released five Formula 1 playsets for younger racing fans in its Lego City series earlier this year. You can get an 86-piece McLaren Race Car for only $8 (was $13) and a two-car bundle featuring Williams Racing & Haas Race Cars for $16 (was $20). The latter is part of Lego’s preschooler series for kids ages four and up. Another cool option is the 322-piece Pit Stop & Pit Crew set for $24 (was $30). This playset comes with a Ferrari race car, interactive pit stop, five minifigures, and numerous swappable accessories.

Lego Icons Formula 1 Sets

Multiple Formula 1 drivers and their race cars have received their own Lego Icons sets. A minifigure of Brazilian legend Ayrton Senna and his McLaren MP4/4 are available in a 693-piece display model for $64 (was $80). A minifigure of former British driver Nigel Mansell and a Williams Racing FW114B F1 car are available for $80 in a 799-piece set.

Walmart has a Lego Speed Champions 5-in-1 Bundle

It’s not an F1 bundle, but racing fans should check out the Walmart-exclusive Lego Speed Champions Sports Car Bundle before it’s gone. This makeshift 5-in-1 bundle is up for grabs for $85 (was $135) until the end of the month–or until it sells out–as part of Bricktember at Walmart.

$85 (was $135)

Includes:

  • Ferrari F40 (76934) – $27 (318 pieces)
  • Nascar Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 (76935) – $27 (328 pieces)
  • Audi S1 e-tron quattro (76921) – $27 (274 pieces)
  • Lamborghini Lambo V12 Vision GT (76923) – $27 (230 pieces)
  • Ford Mustang Dark Horse (76920) – $27 (344 pieces)

LEGO Harry Potter Advent Calendar 2025 Arrives Early at Almost Free, Already Selling Like It’s the Holidays

by admin September 25, 2025

This new Amazon deal might crank your kids’ holiday excitement all the way up to 11, or even higher if they’re Harry Potter fans. For a limited time you can get the LEGO Harry Potter 2025 Advent Calendar for just $38 after a 16% price cut. It’s like a regular Advent calendar, with 24 doors to be opened in the days leading up to Christmas, but instead of chocolate or candy there’s a buildable LEGO Harry Potter minifigure, magical creature, or mini build behind each door.

This adorable and fun calendar is perfect for boys and girls 7 and up, and the 24 easy-to-build minifigures have a total of 278 pieces. The figures include Harry Potter, Cho Chang, Draco Malfoy, Hannah Abbott, Angelina Johnson, Luna Lovegood, Blaise Zabini, and Cedric Diggory, all wearing Hogwarts holiday sweaters and carrying wand elements.

See at Amazon

New Toy Every Day

The LEGO Harry Potter 2025 Advent Calendar has a door for every day from Dec. 1 to Christmas Eve, and unveiling and building that day’s surprise figure will be your kid’s favorite part of the day. Each buildable figure has illustrated instructions printed on the inside of its door, and don’t forget the LEGO Builder app that lets parents help kids access enhanced 3D views of each figure and other building tools.

In addition to the 8 wizarding minifigures, there are 6 magical creatures — Hedwig, Buckbeak with posable wings, Aragog with posable legs, a Thestral with posable wings, a Mandrake, and a Stag Patronus. There are also 10 mini builds — a Hogwarts acceptance letter, chocolate frog, Bertie Bott’s Every-Flavour Beans, butterbeer, the Sorting Hat, 3 potions, the Monster Book of Monsters, and 2 Galleons. Put it all together and by the time the big day rolls around, your boy or girl has 24 buildable, playable Harry Potter figures to enjoy.

Year After Year

One of the best parts about the LEGO Harry Potter 2025 Advent Calendar is, unlike those paper versions that contain chocolate or other sweet treats, this one can be used year after year. Just disassemble the figures, place them back in their individual doors, and put the calendar away until next year. Opening the doors, building the figures, and playing with them will be just as fun next time around.

It might be hard to think about the 2025 holiday season when we’re only a day into Autumn, but it’s coming sooner than you think, so deals like this limited-time one at Amazon offering the 2025 LEGO Harry Potter Advent Calendar for just $38 are a smart buy so you can have it on hand in plenty of time when December 1 rolls around.

This 500-Piece LEGO Brick Box Drops to Pennies on Amazon, 2x Cheaper Than LEGO Store

by admin September 25, 2025

It’s fun to dive into LEGO Star Wars or Harry Potter sets but once they’re built, many people hesitate to actually play with them. They often feel more like display pieces than toys. That’s why every LEGO fan should have a brick box filled with hundreds of colorful pieces: It’s the foundation for pure creativity, letting you build, rebuild, and invent completely new ideas without limits.

Right now, Amazon is offering the LEGO “medium” brick box at its lowest price ever: Instead of paying the usual $34, you can get it for just $17, which is two times cheaper than on the official LEGO site where it’s still full price. And if you want to go bigger, a larger 790‑piece brick box is also on sale at Amazon for just $39 instead of $59.

See 484-piece box at Amazon

See 790-piece box at Amazon

Endless Possibilities for Play and Imagination

What is so special about this brick box is that it gets at the very essence of LEGO: open-ended building. With 484 pieces in 35 colors for the medium size and 790 pieces for the large box, you’ve got everything you need to get your imagination going, from windows and toy eyes to tires with wheel rims, perfect for cars, trains, or whatever your imagination comes up with. Even the green baseplate, well over 3 by 6 inches in size, is included, giving young children (and let’s be honest here, adults as well) a firm base upon which to build.

And it’s not all about chucking bricks around willy-nilly. The variety of pieces in this box enables kids to craft small animals like the tiger figure that is provided, motor vehicles with movable wheels, or even small houses with window cutouts. This assortment has been designed by LEGO to be compatible with their other sets so you’re not locked into one theme. You can add these pieces to any LEGO world you currently have, opening up possibilities without limit. That’s a big reason why this set gets a 4.8 rating out of 5 from more than 53,000 customers repeatedly.

Once the playtime entertainment is over, the entire set goes into storage within the durable storage box. Instead of bricks everywhere on the living room floor or on the way, the box is a great storage system. That small feature makes it so much less trouble for adults but it also increases the chances for kids to put their creations away and transport the box with them wherever they go.

For kids, having a creative brick box at home encourages hours of screen-free creativity play. It’s the type of toy that can grow up with children and it’s just as fun for grown-ups who are wanting to sit down and build something stress-free.

Since you’re paying half the amount charged on LEGO’s own site, now is the time to grab them while these record-low deals last.

The LEGO Minecraft Advent Calendar Is Selling for Pennies, but Only if You Buy Early

by admin September 24, 2025

LEGO has just rolled out its new Advent calendars, and they’re giving early shoppers a real treat. Every year it’s the same story: prices are friendliest at launch then as December gets closer, demand sends them climbing back up.

Right now, the LEGO Minecraft advent calendar (2025 edition) is going for only $38 instead of the usual $44. No wonder it’s already the fan favorite among all the LEGO calendars this season, from Harry Potter to Star Wars – but Minecraft is the #1 best-seller on Amazon.

See at Amazon

LEGO just released its new Advent calendars, and they’re treating early buyers to a welcome bargain. Year after year: prices are kindest at introduction, then closer to December, demand pushes them on the rise. Currently, the LEGO Minecraft Advent Calendar 2025 is available for as low as $38 rather than its normal price of $44.99, which is its lowest ever on Amazon. No wonder it’s already the holiday favorite of all the LEGO calendars available this year, whether it’s Harry Potter or Star Wars—but Minecraft is in the spotlight.

A Christmas Deal That Brings Minecraft to Life

Why this set is exciting is pretty simple: children and adults like counting down to Christmas, and LEGO and Minecraft is as good a sure bet as you’re ever likely to get. Instead of a second box of chocolates, you’re getting 24 buildable surprises that extend the suspense through the morning. Constructed from 300 pieces, the set creates a full-sized Minecraft world to discover one day at a time.

8 classic Minecraft mini-figures are shipped inside: Alex and Steve are present, of course, but you also get a Creeper, stray, drowned, zombie, snow golem, and even a villager in Santa clothes. They all come with holiday-themed accents that still fit the vibe of the holiday countdown without losing the characteristic Minecraft look.

What’s really cool is the way the pieces interact with one another: There’s something new every day and collectively, they build a Minecraft-themed winter village scene. That playmat background in the box acts as the glue to hold everything together so instead of having 24 separate builds, kids see their own Lego world come together over the space of a month.

This Advent calendar isn’t a separate collection: it’s compatible with the entire range of LEGO Minecraft. For someone who already has Minecraft Lego pieces lying around, this slots right into the existing collection. Kids can expand on their worlds, bridge scenes together or start with it and build something even bigger.

And there’s more than just nostalgia at play: LEGO calendars like this one don’t stick around at low launch prices. Historically, these drop right around release week before climbing steadily into mid-November, as the frenzy for Advent calendars kicks in. Waiting until December almost guarantees you’ll pay list price—or risk a sell-out altogether.

LEGO Is Going Nuts Over the 4.8-Rated Star Wars Ahsoka Tano’s Shuttle, Now Selling for Pennies

by admin September 24, 2025

Star Wars is the number one selling license of LEGO, even surpassing Harry Potter in fan enthusiasm. Most Star Wars LEGO sets have wonderful reviews, usually 4.8 out of 5 on Amazon and both children and adult fans enjoy them. One set that’s flying off the shelves, especially with its all-time lowest price just before Prime Day, is Ahsoka Tano’s T-6 Jedi shuttle: Now offered for $54, where it was once $79, it’s a bargain if you’re looking to revisit the galaxy far, far away adventures.

See at Amazon

Step Into the World of Star Wars Adventure

This LEGO set mimics the streamlined and signature look of Ahsoka Tano’s starship in the well-known animated TV series. With 599 pieces, the set provides a satisfying build experience that’s perfect for kids 9 and up but suitable for adult collectors who desire a displayable model as well. The shuttle includes an opening cockpit that is well-suited to house the included LEGO mini-figures.

The collection includes four detailed mini-figures: Ahsoka herself, with two lightsabers; Sabine Wren, with two blasters; Professor Huyang, with a wrench; and Marrok, with a double-bladed lightsaber.

Functionality gets its proper place in this model with two stud shooters and storage bays that can hide tools, weapons and accessories and add realism and interactive play. The landing gear folds up neatly on the shuttle, automatically placing the wings in flight mode.

What makes this offer different from the typical Star Wars attraction is the combination of quality, level of detail, and now phenomenal pricing: Dropping to an all-time low of $54, the set gives children and collectors a chance to pick up a highly rated model at a friendly price at just the right time for holiday shopping or adding to a collection.

LEGO Is Offloading the Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle for Early Prime Day, Now Selling at a Steal

by admin September 21, 2025

Harry Potter and Star Wars have always been LEGO’s biggest hits, and that’s no accident. These sets click with fans in a way few things do: they’re beautifully designed, instantly recognizable and tap into stories that people love to revisit.

Out of all of them, the Hogwarts castle and grounds set is one that really captures the magic. It’s sitting at a 4.8 out of 5 rating with nearly 2,000 reviews, which should tell you just how much people enjoy it. And the timing couldn’t be better: right now on Amazon it’s down to $136 from $169, the lowest price it’s ever been. With early Prime Day deals already dropping, this one could vanish quickly if stock runs out.

See at Amazon

Creating The Magic of Hogwarts at Home

There’s something special about seeing Hogwarts assemble before your own eyes, piece by piece. It’s not just the castle – it’s the grounds and the castle, in LEGO detail for the very first time ever. With 2,660 pieces, you’ve got a project that’s in-depth without being overwhelming. When finished, it’s more than 8.5 inches tall, 13.5 inches wide, and 10 inches deep, a near-perfect balance between stand-out large and fit-as-a-book small.

And the details, those details – those create the magic. The Great Hall, the Astronomy Tower, the greenhouses, bridges, courtyards, the Boathouse on the Black Lake—it’s all there. Hidden spots bring more surprises: the Chamber of Secrets, the Potions Classroom, the Winged Key room, and the giant chessboard chamber. Out on the lake you’ll notice the Beauxbatons Carriage and the Durmstrang Ship, while the Whomping Willow (complete with a flying Ford Anglia) adds another nod to the films.

And then of course, is the actual enjoyment, which is building. Sets like these are built with adult fans in mind and give you a project that you can get your hands on, recharging while creating. It’s the kind of build that feels almost meditative: you settle in, sort the bricks, and step by step construct one of the most iconic landmarks from the Wizarding World. And when you’re done, it isn’t just a pile of bricks, it’s a model that looks fantastic on display and instantly sparks conversations.

What makes this deal even sweeter is the price point. At $136, you’re getting a set this detailed for less than many similar adult-oriented LEGO models which often climb past $200. With the number of pieces, the design quality, and Harry Potter set popularity in mind, this is one of those offers that does not sit around.

Miles Morales' Mask Lego Set Is 60% Off At Walmart Just Two Months After Launch

Miles Morales’ Mask Lego Set Is 60% Off At Walmart Just Two Months After Launch

by admin September 21, 2025

Spider-Man fans can score an absurdly good deal on the Lego Miles Morales’ Mask display model at Walmart. Launched in July for $70, the 487-piece Miles Morales building set is on sale for only $28.24. This deal is unlikely to remain in stock for long, so snag it while you can.

$28.24 (was $70)

The 487-piece build is exclusive to Walmart and the Lego Store–though you’ll pay $70 if you buy it directly from Lego right now.

The completed 3D model with display stand measures 7.5 inches. A Lego Marvel name placard connects to the front of the stand.

Despite low piece counts, Lego’s mask and helmet builds are fairly complex and are recommended for adults and experienced builders.

$70

The standard Spider-Man Mask Lego set launched last year exclusively at Target and the Lego Store. Based on Peter Parker’s classic costume, the Spider-Man Mask is the same size as Miles Morales’ Mask; it even has the same number of pieces.

$92 (was $130)

Walmart also has an exclusive bundle with Miles Morales’ Mask and the Iron Spider-Man Bust, which launched in August for $60. With Walmart’s deal on Miles Morales’ Mask, it’s actually cheaper to buy each set separately.

In any case, Walmart is currently sold out of the Spider-Man bundle–though the retailer has restocked a bunch of its Bricktember Lego bundles over the past few weeks. We wouldn’t be surprised to see this one back in stock soon.

Includes:

  • Miles Morales’ Mask (76329) – $70 (487 pieces)
  • Iron Spider-Man Bust (76326) – $60 (379 pieces)

For some much smaller Lego Spider-Man fun, check out the new Spider-Verse minifigure collection. Based on Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, the collection features 12 characters from the multiverse. Most retailers are sold out of this collection, but Amazon just restocked the Spider-Verse minifigure 6-packs for $30.

And for even more Lego deals, take a look at Walmart’s Bricktember Sale before the deals expire (or sell out).

The ‘Lego Batman’ Devs Want to Make a New, Definitive Bat-Game

by admin September 20, 2025

September 20 is Batman Day, and what better way to celebrate the occasion than with a new video for his next big game?

WB and Traveler’s Tales released a behind-the-scenes video devoted entirely to the making of Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight. Revealed during Gamescom in August, the title takes players on the character’s journey into the superhero we all know, blending together different elements of his live-action and comics incarnations into a new spin on his origin and evolution.

The video doesn’t reveal anything new or insightful about TT’s approach to Batman—it’s made a lot of Lego games over the years, and Legacy of the Dark Knight is its fourth Bat-specific one—but it’s a solid eight minutes of the team swearing they’re doing their homework. The Batman and Dark Knight trilogy are both cited as key reference points alongside Batman: The Animated Series and a lot of comics.

Interestingly, the game starts with a young Bruce Wayne the evening before his parents are killed, then transitions over to his time training in the League of Shadows—something previous games like Arkham Origins and Arkham City have touched on through nightmare sequences or DLC.

If there’s one thing the video makes clearer than ever, it’s that the Arkham games really do cast a long shadow over Batman. Combat, using the Batmobile, and even grappling around Gotham all look very similar to how they were in Rocksteady’s franchise. That may end up working in the game’s favor, since as James Gunn notes, Lego is all about creativity regardless of age and skill level. What excites him most about Legacy is its potential to help players who’ve “never experienced Batman in a personal way get to play this game and have their own connection to him and the DC universe.”

Taking the gameplay and material from films and comics, then putting them in an all-ages gloss may be the smartest play for a character DC hopes to eventually reinvigorate on the big screen while still playing to his dark and gritty strengths. We’ll see how that fares when Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight comes to PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch in 2026.

Want more io9 news? Check out when to expect the latest Marvel, Star Wars, and Star Trek releases, what’s next for the DC Universe on film and TV, and everything you need to know about the future of Doctor Who.
