New Battlefield single-player campaign details leak online

by admin June 22, 2025

Footage of the next Battlefield game is once again popping up online, this time of its single-player campaign.

Despite requiring participants to sign an NDA before they can get involved, playtest players continue to find a way to share all manner of things, from clips of gameplay to factions, gear customisation options, and details of its battle royale.

This leak of the single-player campaign seems to be one of the biggest yet, including locations of where players can expect to travel in the solo campaign, and the environments you can explore when you get there.

Introducing Battlefield Labs | Battlefield Studios.Watch on YouTube

Some of this information appears to have been datamined from the latest Battlefield Lab build. There’s plenty of unfinished images and assets, leading some fans to assert the game “looks like AI slop” or “fugly” despite numerous statements from EA and the development teams that this is a work-in-progress with placeholder details that will be replaced when the game releases in full.

Here’s a short clip from the Battlefield 6 singleplayer campaign in the latest BF Labs update.

The same thing happened with the first phase of its Battlefield Labs initiative. Despite branding the playtest as the “most ambitious community testing program in franchise history” and requiring participants to sign an NDA, plenty of gameplay footage popped up in various corners of the internet. EA was not happy, eventually hitting back at a grumpy reddit thread about an unsupported claim about skill-based matchmaking with “Okay, enough”.

Pretty much all we officially know about the next Battlefield so far is that it’s set in the modern day, and will bring back traditional classes and more focused maps after the unpopular changes made in Battlefield 2042. Beyond that, it’s all speculation – although one sleuth scoured the new game’s concept art and identified landmarks suggesting it could be set in Gibraltar.

Whilst we don’t yet have a release name or date, EA confirmed it expects the series’ latest instalment to arrive before April next year. We also recently learned Battlefield 2042 is getting a Mass Effect bundle, as a series exec confirmed there’s still a big Battlefield (2025) reveal set to come this summer.

Binance’s CZ Proposes Fix for Google, Apple, Meta’s 16B Password Leak

by admin June 19, 2025

A huge data breach has shaken the internet after researchers working with Cybernews found over 16 billion login credentials exposed. These credentials come from major platforms like Google, Apple, Meta (Facebook), and many others. This is the largest breach of its kind ever discovered.

A lot of details were linked, including real usernames, passwords, cookies, and metadata, all neatly organized and ready to be used by hackers. According to researcher Vilius Petkauskas, these details are clean and organized, most of them have never been seen before, which means hackers can easily use them with hacking tools.

The researchers found 30 big files, with each one holding between millions to billions of records. One file had more than 3.5 billion passwords by itself. Only one of the 30 files had been shared before. The rest are all new.

These records could unlock personal emails, social media, and even government systems, which makes the situation even more dangerous. The ones with the highest risk are people who use cryptocurrency. If the hacker could manage to gain access to their emails, they could reset their passwords and take over their crypto accounts.

Some wallets also store keys or recovery phrases in cloud services. If attackers find those, they can steal the funds instantly. This may even lead to more targeted hacks and phishing scams.

Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) reacted to the news on X, posting: “That’s 2 passwords per person for the planet. Use a different password for each site, and hopefully a different email address too. And use a hardware 2FA device!” What he means is that everyone should update their login info and add extra layers of protection.

CZ advises using 2-factor authentication | Source: X

The leaked credentials also include logins to tools like GitHub, Telegram, VPNs, and developer portals, which could lead to even bigger cyberattacks on companies.

Security expert Darren Guccione, CEO of Keeper Security, said this shows how poor cloud security still is. “This could be just the tip of the biggest security iceberg,” he warned.

Researchers say the data was likely taken using infostealer malware and not from public leaks. The breach affects people and companies worldwide. Everyone is advised to change their passwords, avoid reusing them, and turn on two-factor authentication.

Nobitex Hackers leak Source Code after $100M Crypto Hack

by admin June 19, 2025

Hackers behind a $100 million exploit of Iranian cryptocurrency exchange Nobitex released the platform’s full source code, placing remaining user assets at risk.

Nobitex exchange was hacked for at least $100 million of cryptocurrencies on Wednesday by a pro-Israel group calling itself “Gonjeshke Darande,” which claimed responsibility for the attack.

In the latest turn of events, the group said it had made good on its earlier threat to leak the code and internal files of the exchange.

“Time’s up – full source code linked below. ASSETS LEFT IN NOBITEX ARE NOW ENTIRELY OUT IN THE OPEN,” Gonjeshke Darande wrote in an X post on Thursday.

The X thread detailed key security measures of the exchange, including its privacy settings, blockchain cold scripts, list of servers and a zip file containing the full source code to the Nobitex exchange.

The source code was leaked a day after the group took responsibility for the exploit, promising to release the exchange’s source code and internal files within 24 hours.

The hackers said they targeted the exchange because it has ties to Iran’s government and participates in funding activities that violate international sanctions.

The wallet addresses used for the exploit suggest it was a “political statement rather than a typical financially motivated theft,” Yehor Rudytsia, a security researcher at blockchain security firm Hacken, told Cointelegraph.

“On EVM, the assets across more than 20 tokens were sent to clean burner addresses. The only potential partial recovery might come if USDT reissues the $55 million worth of stolen stablecoins,” he said.

Nobitex said on Thursday that no additional financial losses had occurred and that it expects to begin restoring services within five days. However, the exchange noted that internet disruptions due to the ongoing Iranian crisis were slowing progress.

The hack occurred on the fifth day of renewed conflict between Israel and Iran.

The two countries have been exchanging strategic missile strikes since Friday, when Israel launched multiple strikes on targets in Iran, marking the largest attack on the country since the Iran-Iraq War in the 1980s.

Gonjeshke Darande confirms $90 million asset burn

The hackers confirmed that the majority of the stolen funds were burned or permanently removed from circulation.

Gonjeshke Darande said in an X post: “8 burn addresses burned $90M from the wallets of the regime’s favorite sanctions violation tool, Nobitex.”

Nobitex users are now awaiting a public video statement from CEO Amir Rad, who is expected to outline the platform’s recovery and next steps.

In response to the hack, the central bank of Iran reportedly imposed a curfew on domestic crypto exchanges, limiting operating hours to between 10 am and 8 pm, according to multiple reports cited by Chainalysis.

MindsEye’s first hotfix plugs up its memory leak, and pledges to pop up PC hardware-related crash warnings

by admin June 13, 2025

Good news, people who’re still interested in giving MindsEye a go for reasons that don’t involve gleefully watching as a poor NPC undergoes a sudden glitchy elongation. Developers Build A Rocket Boy have just pushed out the first in a series of updates designed to swat a bunch of the performance and crash-related issues that’ve plagued the game’s launch.

If you were busy with other hobbies such as arctic exploration or hardcore spelunking earlier this week, the GTA/Cyberpunky Mindseye suffered a pretty nightmarish debut. The user reviews weren’t totally negative right out of the gate, but it’s fair to say it didn’t land in the fashion ex-Rockstar bigwig Leslie Benzies’ studio probably hoped.

Cue the release of today’s first hotfix for the game, which has arrived “on an expedited timeline as the first in a series of patches” designed to address the myriad of technical issues players have been having and act on their feedback.

Out now on PC and PS5, with Xbox soon to follow, the patch includes “CPU and GPU performance improvements, along with memory optimizations” – as part of that last bit, the memory leak that had been identified as the cause of a number of different crashes has been rectified. Build A Rocket Boy have also introduced new “pop-up warnings” on PC that’ll tell you if Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling is disabled or if you’ve got a machine with a CPU which has “potential crash issues”. I assume these pop-ups’ll be something like little text boxes that say ‘uh oh’.

The hotfix makes MindsEye’s CPR mini-game easier, in what could be construed a as wonderfully ironic metaphor for the situation the game’s ended up in performance-wise. It also adds in the ability to mess around with the depth of field, and fixes issues with “missing controls in the MineHunter and Run Dungeon mini-games”.

“Performance optimisation is our number one focus and an ongoing commitment that will take further time,” Build A Rocket Boy pledge in the hotfix’s notes, adding: “We will continue to provide frequent and transparent updates. Our team is committed to do everything possible to urgently action your feedback.”

We’ll have to see if these efforts are enough to turn the game’s fortunes around, with first impressions being as important as ever for games, regardless of whether they’ve got ex-GTA bloke buzz.

MindsEye crashes caused by a memory leak, developer says, as it remains committed to ensuring all players have a great experience

by admin June 12, 2025

The team at MindsEye studio Build A Rocket Boy is “heartbroken that not every player was able to experience the game as we intended,” it has said, promising more fixes throughout June.

MindsEye released earlier this week, however it wasn’t the smoothest of launches. Many found themselves presented with distorting character bugs and stuttering issues when they booted up the game. Build A Rocket Boy released a statement yesterday, when it said it would be prioritising gameplay performance with an update.

“Our teams have worked tirelessly throughout the night to solve many of these issues, and we have now identified that the vast majority of crashes were caused by a memory leak,” the developer has since shared on the MindsEye Discord, adding roughly one in 10 players were impacted.

“We have developed a hotfix that addresses this issue (alongside other issues that our players have highlighted), which we are working hard to deploy as soon as tomorrow on PC and on consoles once it passes certification with PlayStation and Xbox,” it continued, stating the team is “fully committed to ensuring all players have a great experience”.

Build A Rocket Boy additionally shared its hotfix plans for up until the end of June. These are:

Friday, June 13-15 – Hotfix #1 – PC & Console

What players can expect:

  • Initial CPU and GPU performance improvements, along with memory optimisations
  • Reduced difficulty for the CPR mini-game
  • A new setting to disable or adjust Depth of Field
  • Fix for missing controls in the MineHunter and Run Dungeon mini-games
  • Pop-up warnings for PCs with Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling disabled and for PCs with CPUs prone to crashes

Hotfix #2 – Week of June 16 – PC & Console

What players can expect:

  • Continuous incremental performance and stability improvements
  • Fix for the buggy wheels not visually spinning while driving
  • Fix for areas in Car Manufacturing where players could fall through the world

By End of June – Update 3 – PC & Console

What players can expect:

  • Ongoing performance & stability improvements
  • Rebalanced “Hard” difficulty setting
  • Animation fixes
  • AI improvements

MindsEye has had an unusual lead up to launch, it has to be said. At the end of May, the studio’s co-CEO suggested the game’s negative reaction up until that point had been paid for in a “concerted effort” against the developer. This is something IO Interactive, which serves as the game’s publisher, doesn’t believe to be the case.

Meanwhile, the studio’s Chief Legal Officer and Chief Financial Officer left the company, just one week before MindsEye released.

Fortnite leak says Sith Rey is wrapping up the Star Wars season

by admin May 29, 2025

We got a full glimpse of a Dark Side-loving Rey in Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker, when she battled herself in the ruins of the Death Star, so it’s fair to assume that she’ll sport a similar appearance here (though maybe not with the teeth).

If you’re hoping that she might sport her bizarre switchblade-looking double saber in the bundle (coming in at 2,000 V-Bucks), don’t hold your breath. It seems that she will have a pickaxe, but it will be based on Ochi’s Blade. Yes, it’s the famous magic knife that broke in the perfect way to somehow align with the ruins of the Death Star and show her the way to the Sith Wayfinder… or something. (Wow, that movie had a lot of problems didn’t it?)

This isn’t the first Sith-happy skin in this season of Fortnite. A few weeks ago saw the release of Darth Jar Jar, a skin that implied that maybe the goofy Gungan had more going on than meets the eye, and was in fact plotting the rise of Emperor Palpatine since the very beginning of the series. It’s clearly not considered canon, but hey, it’s fun to dream, right?

The Star Wars season of Fortnite comes to a close on June 7, so if you’re still hoping to unlock Disco Emperor Palpatine, now is the time to do it.

New Battlefield 6 gameplay leak is not something fans were hoping for

The leak’s giving mixed signals.

A new Battlefield 6 leak has surfaced online, and the gameplay we can see from the footage is not what fans have been hoping for.

Judging by the video from the leaked video on X, Battlefield 6 looks to be set in modern times, and not in the past or future, like some of the previous titles, such as Battlefield 2042 and Battlefield 5.

A certain section of the fanbase was left disappointed with the gameplay quality. One confused it with Battlefield 4, while another claimed, “There is no new taste of play.”

One player feels the gameplay looks “twitchy,” while another chimed in, “I hate the way he’s holding that weapon. It was never like this back in the old days. It looks bad, and I don’t think that’s the normal way of holding a rifle.”

Some fans suggested ways to bring back the franchise to its former glory, the time when players flocked to Battlefield 3 and 4. One player said, “All they have to do is make it like BF3 and 4, and we’re golden with classes and not stupid operators.” “Looks like the same boring sh*t,” said another.

A player compared the footage to the last entry in the BF franchise and said, “Shooting still looks stiff like 2042.” With other competitors in the market like Call of Duty, which offer gameplay based on modern warfare, things can get a little monotonous for some.

One such player thinks, “all modern warfare games look like COD, fast movement, no weight, a lot of gadgets, and no feeling of risk. There’s a tank shooting, and it looks like it’s just playing with lights and smoke coming out of the place, what a joke.”

The leaked footage has everything we’ve seen in the BF games over these years – destruction, chaos, tanks, and the usual game modes. Like the previous games, a total of four players can squad up to take down the opposition.

Battlefield 2042 was the last title from EA way back in November 2021. It’s been more than three years since it was released, and Battlefield 6 is scheduled to release sometime before March 31, 2026. We don’t have an official date yet.
