Afterlight Kickstarter Trailer Revealed, Crowdfunding Starts Next Week

by admin October 3, 2025

The studio has also announced that actress Carolina Ravassa (Overwatch, Dragon Age: The Veilguard) has joined the cast as Captain Khali, an adventurous and loyal pirate that will help the crew across the adventure.

Coming to Kickstarter next week, Starfinder: Afterlight is a story-rich, turn-based RPG video game set in the Starfinder universe, and based on the Second Edition rules. Players will create their own character and lead a crew whose captain has vanished. In order to save the galaxy from annihilation, they must gather their team of charmingly questionable companions, scour the stars, face enemies armed with magical powers and advanced tech, and ultimately decide the fate of the galaxy.

Starfinder: Afterlight centres on building bonds with unforgettable companions who are more than stats and abilities. The space crew players revealed so far include Kole (class: Soldier, voiced by Fred Tatasciore), Tycho (class: Operative, voiced by Inel Tomlinson), Lu-323 (class: Envoy, voiced by  Melissa Medína), and Sterling (Class: Solarian, voiced by James Alexander). Neil Newbon (Baldur’s Gate 3, Resident Evil Village) takes the role of voice director for this upcoming turn-based RPG.

Starfinder: Afterlight is developed by Epictellers Entertainment and supported by Paizo. Players can now register to be notified when the Kickstarter campaign goes live on October 7th, add the game to their wishlists, join the Official Discord Community, follow the developers on Instagram, Bluesky, X, LinkedIn, and visit the official website for more details.

Tiny Wi-Fi gadget smashes Kickstarter with $600,000 as thousands rush to back remote PC control innovation

by admin September 28, 2025

  • GL.iNet Comet Pro Remote KVM supports 4K video passthrough with responsive interaction at a distance
  • The device allows powering on a PC remotely using accessories
  • Remote 4K video passthrough keeps interaction smooth at 30 frames

GL.iNet, the company behind the Comet (GL-RM1), an open source remote KVM running a Linux distribution, has launched the Comet Pro Remote KVM, a device which allows full control of computers, workstations, or servers entirely over Wi-Fi.

The crowdfunding for this project has drawn attention on Kickstarter, with over 3,700 backers pledging more than $600,000, far ahead of its funding $10,000 goal.

This small device is designed to deliver what the company calls ultra-low latency performance and strong security.

Video performance and wireless connectivity

The idea is that anyone can troubleshoot, work, or manage systems without being physically present.

The Comet Pro promises smooth remote interaction by enabling 4K passthrough at 30 frames per second.

The system relies on H.264 encoding to keep latency in the 30 to 60 millisecond range, making remote control very responsive.

Unlike traditional solutions that rely on wired connections, the device supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi 6 bands, reducing dependence on LAN cabling.

A failover mechanism is also included, combining both Wi-Fi and Ethernet for added stability.

To make remote work more practical, the Comet Pro supports two-way audio communication through its HDMI or USB channels.

A built-in touchscreen interface provides on-device control, such as managing network connections or enabling cloud services.

For software access, GL.iNet offers a desktop application for Windows and macOS that can manage multiple units.

Additionally, a web-based control option at glkvm.com expands access to Linux users.

Security functions include two-factor authentication, a hardware screen lock, and integrated support for WireGuard VPN.

For users who prefer independence from vendor-operated services, the option to self-host cloud control is available.

The company will publish resources on GitHub to support deployment.

The device also integrates natively with Tailscale, enabling remote connectivity even on systems outside Windows and macOS.

The Comet Pro can be paired with add-ons such as the ATX Board and Fingerbot.

The ATX Board allows users to boot or manage a machine from a fully powered-down state, while the Fingerbot accessory physically presses a power button when remote startup is needed.

These tools are presented as practical for IT administrators or industrial operators who must recover or restart critical systems without delay.

While the campaign presents the Comet Pro as “revolutionizing Remote KVM over Wi-Fi,” the broader adoption of such solutions often depends on how they perform under varied real-world conditions.

Disclaimer: We do not recommend or endorse any crowdfunding project. All crowdfunding campaigns carry inherent risks, including the possibility of delays, changes, or non-delivery of products. Potential backers should carefully evaluate the details and proceed at their own discretion.

Superhero Roleplaying now live on Kickstarter

by admin September 24, 2025

The official Invincible TTRPG by Free League Publishing is now live on Kickstarter:

Invincible – Superhero Roleplaying, the upcoming tabletop roleplaying game by Free League Publishing and Skybound Entertainment, is now live on Kickstarter. The campaign was fully funded in just 30 minutes, surpassing its initial goal of $50,000 USD.

This latest RPG from fan-favorite and multiple award-winning publisher Free League is based on Skybound’s groundbreaking comic book series Invincible by Robert Kirkman (The Walking Dead), Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley, which is also a hit animated series on Prime Video.

Early backers who make a pledge for a physical reward within the first 48 hours of the Kickstarter launch will receive an exclusive cloth patch bearing their choice of the Invincible suit design or the symbol of the Viltrum Empire, home of Omni-Man, at no additional cost.

Backers can also download a completely free Quickstart PDF to get a taste of the game right away. This Quickstart will also be launched as a free content module on the Foundry virtual tabletop during the course of the campaign.

Check out the Invincible – Superhero Roleplaying Kickstarter campaign here.

The Kickstarter will include a comprehensive Core Rulebook – in a standard and an exclusive Collector’s Edition – and a boxed Starter Set, both with illustrations by Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley and graphic design by Johan Nohr (MÖRK BORG).

If unlocked as a stretch goal in this campaign, Skybound will print a limited run of Invincible #1 with a brand-new variant cover drawn and inked by Todd Nauck and colored by Matt Herms. If unlocked, all physical pledge backers will receive one copy of this unique item, which is exclusive to this Kickstarter campaign and will never be printed again.

More About Invincible – Superhero Roleplaying

The Invincible universe is filled with everything we love about superhero stories – costumes and capes, epic brawls across cityscapes, sidekicks, team-ups, alien invasions, witty banter, alternate dimensions, and much more – though these familiar elements are often subverted in surprising ways. Any trope can exist, and any trope can be turned on its head.

In this action-packed storytelling experience, players take on the role of superheroes in their own corners of the Invincible universe. Whether you choose to play an established character from the comic or create your own, this game is the story of what happens to your superheroes – the protagonists of your own saga.

You might be a wisecracking speedster, a super-genius inventor, a grizzled vigilante, a shape-shifting alien, or a high-flying symbol of hope. Whatever you play and wherever you go, you’ll have to juggle relationships with patrols, face tough challenges and choices, and learn how to use your powers… and learn more about yourself in the process.

Who knows? You might be INVINCIBLE.

Invincible – Superhero Roleplaying Core Rulebook Key Features:

  • Your Superhero: Instructions for how to create your very own hero.
  • Powers & Talents: Details on superpowers, talents, and drawbacks that signify what kind of hero you’re playing.
  • Action & Combat: Rules for combat, damage, recovery, adversaries, and challenges.
  • The Invincible Universe: A primer providing guidance on how to capture the feel of the setting, and descriptions of key locations and organizations.
  • Running the Game: Guidance intended for the GM about how to prepare and run a game session.
  • Campaign Play: Tools to help set up campaigns, events and encounters, and non-player characters.
  • Dramatis Personae: Descriptions and statistics for dozens of key characters from the Invincible universe.

Our Brilliant Ruin Starter Set now live on Kickstarter

Our Brilliant Ruin Starter Set now live on Kickstarter

by admin September 17, 2025

Studio Hermitage has a new Kickstarter for their TTRPG, Our Brilliant Ruin. This new Kickstarter contains a new starter set and an exclusive new version of the core rulebook:

Studio Hermitage returns to Kickstarter with a brand-new campaign to make the new Starter Set a reality and help players around the world get Our Brilliant Ruin to their tabletops faster.

Written by industry veterans Justin Achilli (World of Darkness series, Assassin’s Creed series), Rachel J. Wilkinson (Vampire the Masquerade: Port Saga, Dune: Adventures in the Imperium), and Pam Punzalan (Journeys through the Radiant Citadel, 2022 Nebula Award Finalist) Our Brilliant Ruin is a unique game in a fascinating world. Our Brilliant Ruin is a roleplaying game where the corrosive light of a dead and distant star has befouled the world. Only the Dramark remains, the last vestiges of a gilded society unraveling against the backdrop of this preternatural catastrophe. Here, aristocrats cling to their crumbling estates, truefolk struggle to maintain the status quo, and unbonded rebel against it all while Ruined horrors and rusted machines prowl the countryside.

The Kickstarter offers a brand-new starter set that will allow TTRPG enthusiasts to get right into the action from the first session with a pre-written story and pre-constructed characters, featuring:

  • Abridged Rulebook – A 64 page softcover, full colour rulebook for a quick start in the world of Our Brilliant Ruin.
  • Resources Booklet – A 32 page booklet of character sheets, handouts and in-universe documents from the starter story.
  • Starter Story – A 48 page introductory story revolving around a malfunctioning syllokinetic bridge, which is home to many NPCs, and the risky efforts that must be undertaken to return it to functioning while protecting the identity of the NPCs who understand the secrets of its operation.

An original system uses d6 dice pools driven by a player character’s emotions and motivations to determine if they succeed, triumph, or cause a catastrophe. Personality traits and skills will be combined to accomplish player character goals.

This campaign also makes available an exclusive limited Ruined Edition of the Our Brilliant Ruin core rulebook. It features a vegan leather cover, bookmark ribbons of unknown provenance, and a black-ink edge treatment that absorbs more wholesome light. This limited Ruined Edition won’t be printed again after the campaign, so collectors will need to support the project before it ends on October 2nd if they want to get their hands on it.

by admin August 24, 2025

If you backed Hollow Knight on Kickstarter in late 2014, developer Team Cherry has confirmed that you will receive a download code for Hollow Knight: Silksong. This promise also marks the first Kickstarter update in six years for the upcoming metroidvania game.

The only caveat is that keys for Hollow Knight: Silksong will only be available on PC, Switch, and Switch 2. The game will also launch September 4 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Game Pass. “We’ll be reaching out in the (very) near future to find out your platforms of choice and the best email addresses to send your copy/s. Keys will be provided as either PC (Steam and DRM free) or Nintendo Switch (Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2),” Team Cherry said in the Kickstarter update.

Now Playing: Hollow Knight: Silksong Gameplay (Over The Shoulder Filmed) | gamescom 2025

For those curious, the previous Kickstarter update was a post right after E3 2019 talking about a demo for Hollow Knight: Silksong. Funnily enough, the Gamescom demo playable this week seems to be nearly identical to the experience from E3 2019 (an event that no longer exists). GameSpot did get hands-on time with Hollow Knight: Silksong at Gamescom.

Kickstarter backers receiving Hollow Knight: Silksong codes was foreshadowed yesterday when Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier posted on social media that reviews probably wouldn’t be ready before the game’s launch. That’s reportedly because Team Cherry would find it unfair for critics to play the game earlier than original backers.

The anticipation for Hollow Knight: Silksong’s upcoming launch feels pretty tangible. For instance, Hollow Knight just hit an all-time concurrent-players peak on Steam with over 22,000 people. In addition, at least three indie games are pushing back their release dates now to avoid coming out near Hollow Knight: Silksong.
