IREN stock price could soar

Here’s why IREN stock jumped after the CoreWeave and Meta Platforms deal

by admin September 30, 2025

IREN stock price jumped by more than 2% and approached its all-time high after a major $14 billion deal between Meta Platforms and CoreWeave and after a bullish report on AI spending from Citi.

Summary

  • IREN stock price soared after a big deal between Meta Platforms and CoreWeave.
  • Meta will buy AI computing power from CoreWeave in a $14 billion deal.
  • IREN jumped as investors predicted a similar deal with a hyperscaler.

IREN, a popular Bitcoin (BTC) mining company, jumped to $46.80, a few points below the all-time high of $49. It has advanced by 870% from its lowest level this year, bringing its market capitalization to more than $14 billion.

IREN shares jumped after Meta Platforms, the parent company of Facebook and WhatsApp, inked a $14 billion deal with CoreWeave. Meta will take advantage of CoreWeave’s infrastructure to accelerate its AI development.

The deal came a few weeks after Microsoft reached a similar deal with Nebius. Therefore, IREN stock is soaring as investors anticipate similar deals in the coming months as it ramps up construction of its AI data centers.

In a report published today, Citigroup raised its estimate of AI data center spending. The Wall Street bank now expects that technology giants will spend $2.8 trillion on AI data centers by 2029, up from its previous estimate of $2.3 trillion.

Citi also expects that the top hyperscalers, such as Microsoft, Amazon, Meta, and Google, will spend $490 billion by the end of 2026, up from the previous estimate of $420 billion.

If these estimates are correct, it means that companies providing AI infrastructure solutions, such as IREN, will continue to perform well in the foreseeable future.

In a recent statement, IREN said that it had doubled its AI cloud to 23k Nvidia and AMD GPUs as it seeks to become a major player in the industry. Its near-term target is to have about 60,000 GPUs.

Most importantly, it hopes to reach an annualized run rate of $500 million by Q1 2026, a large figure for a segment that generated just $7 million in revenue in the last quarter.

The daily timeframe chart shows that the IREN share price has been in a strong uptrend over the past few months, moving from a low of $4.96 in April to $46 today, bringing its market capitalization to more than $12 billion.

IREN’s share price has remained significantly above all moving averages, while the rising Average Directional Index shows that the trend is gaining momentum.

However, IREN’s stock has become highly overbought as the Relative Strength Index and Stochastics have risen.

Therefore, the most likely scenario is that the stock continues rising as AI momentum accelerates and as traders wait for a potential deal with a hyperscaler. However, a smaller pullback cannot be ruled out in the near term as investors begin to book profits.

Lion Group bets on Hyperliquid as it converts SOL and SUI to HYPE
Crypto Trends

Top 3 reasons HYPE price jumped 23% this week

by admin September 12, 2025

Hyperliquid’s native token HYPE is stealing the spotlight. With a double-digit rally this week, three powerful drivers are fueling its bullish momentum.

Summary

  • HYPE price has jumped significantly over the past few days, making it one of the crypto market’s top performers this week.
  • Paxos, Frax Finance, Agora, Ethena, and Sky are competing to issue Hyperliquid’s USDH, sparking excitement across DeFi.
  • BitGo added HyperEVM support, while Lion Group shifted $600M into HYPE at all-time highs.
  • There are rumors of a VanEck HYPE Spot Staking ETF and European ETP which could boost optimism for institutional access.

Hyperliquid has emerged as one of the top crypto gainers this week, climbing 23% and outpacing many rivals in a market still recovering from volatility. The token’s surge has been driven by a mix of ecosystem developments, whale activity, and speculation around institutional products.

Royal battle over USDH stablecoin fuel HYPE price

One of the biggest narratives surrounding Hyperliquid (HYPE) is the ongoing battle over who will launch USDH, the ecosystem’s native stablecoin. Several heavyweight issuers, including Paxos, Ethena Labs, Sky, Frax Finance, Agora, and others have submitted competing proposals to serve as the official issuer.

Paxos recently updated its pitch to include a high-profile partnership with PayPal, offering incentives such as HYPE token listings, free USDH on/off-ramps, and $20 million in ecosystem rewards.

Competitors like Sky have countered with revenue-sharing models and promises of neutrality, while others like Ethena have fallen out of the race. The attention surrounding USDH has added legitimacy and long-term growth potential to the Hyperliquid ecosystem, increasing demand for its native token.

HYPE token gets rising whale activity and institutional interest

Another factor fueling HYPE’s rally is the rise in whale accumulation and institutional participation. In late August, BitGo announced support for HyperEVM, the chain powering Hyperliquid, enabling qualified clients to access its custody solutions. This development expanded the project’s reach among larger players seeking compliant infrastructure.

Additionally, Lion Group Holding made headlines by reallocating $600 million from SOL and SUI into HYPE, citing the platform’s efficient trading infrastructure and liquidity depth. These move signals growing confidence from institutions and whales.

Rumors of a HYPE ETF

Meanwhile, there is rising speculation around a VanEck HYPE Spot Staking ETF which has further energized the market. Reports suggest the asset manager is preparing to file for approval in the U.S. while also planning a European-listed exchange-traded product (ETP).

If successful, the ETF would give institutional investors exposure to HYPE while funneling part of the profits into HYPE token buybacks, boosting demand. Such a product would also mark HYPE as the youngest token to secure an ETF filing, underscoring its rapid rise in mainstream attention. The rumors have bolstered sentiment, with traders pricing in the possibility of a new wave of institutional access and liquidity for HYPE.

HYPE token technical analysis

At press time, HYPE trades at $55.80, per market data from crypto.news. The native has extended its rally from the $47.00 support zone. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) sits at 67.64, close to overbought levels, suggesting buyers remain in control but short-term cooling is possible. MACD remains bullish, with widening histogram bars confirming strong momentum.

On the downside, support lies at $52.00 and $47.00, while the next resistance sits between $58–$60. A decisive breakout could pave the way toward $65–$70, though profit-taking at current levels remains a risk.

While short-term pullbacks are possible, HYPE’s fundamentals and growing institutional narrative continue to drive its bullish momentum.

I jumped into the management god game Sintopia, only to have all my devil workers go on strike because I spent too much money on punishing sinners

by admin September 9, 2025

Despite my love for management sims and all my best intentions when playing them, something always ends up going wrong. The real game isn’t to see how long I can keep the charade up, but how much I can manage to get done within the relatively short window of peace before everything goes to Hell.

The fact that Sintopia takes place in Hell half the time probably should have warned me about how well my antics would go, but I didn’t take the hint. Instead, I started my new job as manager of Hell and overlord of the humus, a sentient population of chickpeas.

Sintopia is kind of like two games in one. The overworld plays like a god game that has you casting spells to influence the humus. They go about their daily business with pretty limited intervention from you, farming crops, cutting down trees, electing a monarch to rule over them, and exploring the map to find new treasures and expand their village.

I did spend a little bit of time helping them, like using a wind spell to blow away vicious animals that would attack hunting parties or ringing bells outside their homes at night to stop them from overpopulating the map. But if you asked the jumus, they probably would have a different, more violent story to tell, as to make money in Sintopia, you need to process souls, and to get souls to process, you need to kill humus.

The flipside of Sintopia is a management game located down in the belly of Hell. Here, you process the dead humus’ souls, squeeze all the sins that they’ve built up in the overworld out of them for cash and then send them on their way to be reincarnated in the overworld.

Your sin processing plant, like most management games, starts simple: Just build a couple of roads and buildings to help you extract all the humus’ sins. There are also basic buildings which drain the humus of their sins, earning you cash as it does so.

But these functions extract minimal profit out of the process. If you want to maximise your cash, you’ll need to start researching and investing in Sin Punishment Specialists. You can unlock rooms dedicated to each of the seven deadly sins: lust, greed, sloth, wrath, envy, pride, and gluttony.

Keep up to date with the most important stories and the best deals, as picked by the PC Gamer team.

I lacked the one thing they really wanted: a good wage and a nice work environment.

These will unlock buildings that you can place and send humus to if they have a particularly high meter for a specific sin. It’ll completely deplete their sins and give you more cash so you can build more infrastructure, like breakrooms for your demon workers, and give your employees raises or just pay them a fair wage. Something I may have forgotten to do:In my haste and greed, I got carried away with killing humus to fuel Hell’s production lines and exploiting the environment to build more money-making rooms, and forgot about looking after my employees.

I built them a breakroom, put up a few inspirational posters, and even set up a happy balloon demon to motivate them, but I lacked the one thing they really wanted: a good wage and a nice work environment.

Lewis was the first demon worker to go on strike. I pushed him aside, kicking the ungrateful worker into some lava and opting to hire someone else for less money. But the peace didn’t last long, as after a while every single demon worker went on strike, seizing the means of production and stopping the cash flow.

Armed with the knowledge that my actions actually have consequences, I started a new save, with an eagle eye at all times on my employees’ wages and happiness. Luckily, this time things turned out better as I slowly built up production alongside my valued staff in Hell and the chosen monarch of the humus, Tiberius Snakenelly, who inspired his people to work hard and increase productivity in the overworld.

Even after all of these antics, I feel as if I’ve only scratched the surface of Sintopia. There’s so much room to perfect Hell’s production lines with intricate layouts, like using sorting gates that section particular humus into specific roads, so you can create the most efficient layout possible.

Then there’s everything that can play out in the overworld, like killing kings who don’t inspire their subordinates, fighting off rogue groups, and having to deal with an end-of-the-world type scenario. If you fail to squeeze all the sins out of a humus, their sin meter will reach 100% and this will turn them into a demon who will set up shop in the overworld and periodically launch attacks on your humus population. I haven’t got to this point yet, but it’s probably just a matter of time before it happens.
