Hyperliquid Whale James Wynn on Market Crash, ‘I Pray You Bought The Dip’

by admin August 20, 2025

James Wynn, dubbed one of the most aggressive leverage traders in the crypto industry, has dropped a bold opinion on the current market outlook. In a post on X, Wynn, a Hyperliquid whale, reinforced the accumulation and HODL mentality on the crypto market.

James Wynn’s bold Ethereum leverage position

Wynn, known for taking massive leveraged positions on assets despite market fluctuations, appears bullish in his post.

The crypto trader stated, “I pray you bought the dip. If you sold it, you are one pathetic jeet, who simply does not deserve any financial success.”

The message in Wynn’s post triggers optimism for future market conditions. He might have insight into a possible market turnaround that could see prices going through the roof soon. Wynn’s emphasis on “buying the dip” indicates that crypto assets could record massive gains soon, creating a point of entry for those who did not buy more difficult.

I pray you bought the dip.

If you sold it you are one pathetic jeet.

Who simply does not deserve any financial success.

Regards,
J.Wynn 🫡

The aggressive trader was critical of investors who panicked and sold at a loss when the market crashed. He believes they will miss out on future gains when the price recovers.

Wynn, who has been silent in the crypto space for a while now, recently returned with a 25x leveraged position on Ethereum. The crypto trader’s leveraged long position is set with a liquidation price of $4,152.8.

While this liquidation price is significantly risky due to Ethereum’s volatility, Wynn has always been aggressive with his bets.

Crypto community reacts to Wynn’s market outlook

As of press time, Ethereum is changing hands above its set price at $4,228.91, despite being down by 0.1% in the last 24 hours.

Similarly, Hyperliquid is trading down by 0.44% at $41.88 in the same time frame. However, investors and traders are active on the market, with trading volume significantly up by 18.05% at $239.88 million.

Meanwhile, users in the crypto space have reacted positively to Wynn’s message. They acknowledged the need to always take advantage of market dips to increase holdings for profitability.

James Bond Has Shaken Up a New Director: ‘Dune’ Helmer Denis Villeneuve

by admin June 26, 2025

Rumors have been circulating about who’ll be the next director to put James Bond through his superspy paces. Now we know who’s been hired: Denis Villeneuve, the four-time Oscar nominee behind Dune, Dune: Part Two, Blade Runner 2049, Arrival, Sicario, and more.

Variety reports Villeneuve will also executive produce with his partner and frequent collaborator Tanya Lapointe. The trade has a very excited statement from Villeneuve to go with the news:

“Some of my earliest movie-going memories are connected to 007. I grew up watching James Bond films with my father, ever since Dr. No with Sean Connery. I’m a die-hard Bond fan. To me, he’s sacred territory. I intend to honor the tradition and open the path for many new missions to come. This is a massive responsibility, but also, incredibly exciting for me and a huge honor. Amy [Pascal], David [Heyman], and I are absolutely thrilled to bring him back to the screen. Thank you to Amazon MGM Studios for their trust.”

Pascal and Heyman’s involvement as producers on the long-awaited Amazon MGM project was confirmed in March after the creative exit of Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson.

With Villeneuve aboard, you know what comes next, right? Casting the new 007! (Also of interest, what does this mean for Dune Messiah, which just announced some intriguing casting earlier this week? Will Villeneuve make that first and move on to Bond after?) Let your speculation build in the comments.

NASA’S James Webb Space Telescope has captured its first direct image of an exoplanet

by admin June 25, 2025

NASA’S James Webb Space Telescope has captured direct images of a planet outside of our solar system, which is the first time it has accomplished such a feat. This is a very big deal because exoplanets don’t put out much light, so researchers typically discover new planets through indirect methods like keeping track of shadows as they pass across a host star.

Webb, however, didn’t have to do all that. It has directly captured images of a planet called TWA 7 b. Scientists believe the planet is around the mass of Saturn and is located 100 light years away from Earth.

The planet is much further away from its star than Earth, so it has a wider orbital period that lasts several hundred years. The planetary system is thought to be around 6 million years old, so we are really getting a snapshot into the early stages of its development. Our sun is considered to be middle-aged and is around 4.6 billion years old.

TWA 7 b is ten times smaller than any previous exoplanet to be directly observed with a telescope, according to The Guardian. Typically, planets of this size can’t be seen by telescopes, as the light from the host star masks direct observation.

The research team, led by Dr. Anne-Marie Lagrange, got around this by making a telescopic attachment that mimicked the results of a solar eclipse. This reduced much of the light emanating from the star to make it easier to observe surrounding objects.

The process allowed the team to spot the planet, which appears as a bright source of light with a narrow ring of debris. Lagrange and her team do note that there’s still a “very small chance” the images show a background galaxy, but the evidence “strongly points” to the source being a previously undiscovered planet.

The first exoplanet was first discovered in 1992. Since that time, nearly 6,000 more have been spotted. Again, the vast majority of these have not been captured with direct imaging.

This is just the latest stunning discovery by our good friend James Webb. It recently captured a cosmic phenomenon called an “Einstein Ring,” which is when light from one galaxy is bent around the mass of another. Last year, the telescope found the most distant galaxy ever observed.

James Gunn Says 'Get Off Matt's Nuts,' 'The Batman' Sequel Will Happen When It Happens

James Gunn Says ‘Get Off Matt’s Nuts,’ ‘The Batman’ Sequel Will Happen When It Happens

by admin June 20, 2025

Cool your jets Batman fans, James Gunn has heard you loud and clear over the highly anticipated sequel to Matt Reeves’ The Batman. So much so that he recently expressed his frustration with the demand in defense of the time DC Studios was taking.

“Listen, we’re supposed to get a script in June. I hope that happens. We feel really good about it,” Gunn told Entertainment Weekly, and colorfully added, “People should get off Matt’s nuts because it’s like, let the guy write the screenplay in the amount of time he needs to write it. That’s just the way it is. He doesn’t owe you something because you like his movie. I mean, you like his movie because of Matt. So let Matt do things the way he does.” And that should go to Robert Pattinson too, the star who has joked he’s going to be old Batman by the time the sequel film gets shooting.

It seems folks forget the fact that arc of The Penguin was originally a huge part of the sequel plans which were then pulled and developed into the incredible Colin Farrell starrer series. Getting a whole show in between to dig into that villain origin story was great even if it took place while Bats was maybe spending time with Selina Kyle over in Blüdhaven.

“I am irritated by people,” Gunn added.  “I mean, it’s just that thing people don’t need to be entitled about. It’s going to come out when he feels good about the screenplay. And Matt’s not going to give me the screenplay until he feels good about the screenplay.”

Gunn also added the constant bugging has nearly pushed him off the internet.

“I’ve kind of quit because it just happens so often,” he noted. “There are a couple of people, specifically, who have pretty large followings who just consistently put out false stories, just one after the other after the other, 95% of the time. Maybe once out of every 20 times, they say something that has some slight or partial basis in reality. And it gets to be old. I’m not sure, some of those people, that I’m not actually helping them in a certain way by debunking them, because you’re giving them traffic, which I always do, but I think they like it. So I mostly quit.”

‘I’m sick of it’: James Gunn explains why Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is no longer the DC comic book movie’s name

by admin June 16, 2025

  • Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow has been given a much cleaner and shorter title
  • DC Studios co-chief James Gunn has confirmed the name change
  • The superhero movie will be released in theaters worldwide in June 2026

Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is no longer the official name of the forthcoming DC comic book movie, James Gunn has revealed.

Speaking to Rolling Stone, the DC Studios co-chief confirmed the Milly Alcock-starring film will now go by a much shorter title: Supergirl.

The surprise announcement came right at the start of Rolling Stone’s profile piece on Gunn, which was conducted as part of the promotional campaign for the writer/director’s upcoming Superman film. Asked by the interviewer if he could clarify what Woman of Tomorrow is being referred to as these days, Gunn paused before saying: “I think it’s just called Supergirl.”

You may like

Elaborating on the title change, Gunn used Superman’s next big-screen outing, which was originally called Superman: Legacy, to explain why Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow‘s name had been shortened.

“I’m always cutting [down project titles],” Gunn replied. “Legacy was really – we [DC Studios] do something called a premortem. A premortem is you get together with your group that’s doing the project. It’s usually about a couple months before shooting… [and] one of the things I brought up was, it [Gunn’s Superman movie] was [originally] called Superman: Legacy.

“Even though I was the one that gave it that title, I just wasn’t sure,” Gunn continued. “First of all, I’m sick of the superhero title, colon, other-name thing. Also, it seemed to be looking back when we’re looking forward, even though it does have to do with legacy in the movie itself. And everybody was like, ‘Oh, yeah, no, change it.'”

Woman of Tomorrow, but a title for today

Milly Alcock will play Kara Zor-El/Supergirl in the DCU (Image credit: James Gunn/Twitter)

It might pain some DC comic book fans to learn about Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow‘s new, truncated titled. After all, the upcoming DC Universe (DCU) movie is basically adapting its eight-issue graphic novel namesake, which was created by comic book writer Tom King and drawn by Bilquis Eveley.

Sign up for breaking news, reviews, opinion, top tech deals, and more.

Nevertheless, in my view, renaming the DCU Chapter One film is the right decision. Supergirl has a much cleaner feel to it. Additionally, for non-DC comic devotees who don’t already know it’ll retell one of Kara Zor-El’s best stories in a live-action format, its new title maintains an air of mystery about what its plot will actually entail.

Then there’s the fact that, unlike more iconic DC heroes including Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman, there’s only been one other Supergirl movie: 1984’s Supergirl, which starred Helen Slater and is available to stream on Max. So the prospect of confusing viewers with an identically titled flick over 40 years on from the Maiden of Might’s silver screen debut shouldn’t be of major concern.

All in all, I’m pretty happy that Supergirl has dropped its subtitle. It certainly rolls off the tongue better than its previous moniker, but its title change does mean I’ll need to give my Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow guide a major overhaul. Lucky me, eh?

Supergirl will take flight in theaters worldwide on June 26, 2026.

New Wonder Woman movie is on the way, James Gunn confirms, and DC fans say there’s a clear frontrunner for the role

by admin June 11, 2025

  • James Gunn has confirmed that a new Wonder Woman movie is in the works
  • The DCU Chapter One film is “being written right now”, Gunn says
  • DC fans have drawn up a wish-list of actors they want to play Diana Prince

Diana Prince is coming to the DC Universe (DCU) earlier than anyone expected after James Gunn confirmed that a new Wonder Woman movie is in development.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly (EW), the co-chief of DC Studios surprisingly revealed that a Wonder Woman film is not only “being written right now”, but also being worked on separately to Paradise Lost.

The latter is a Max TV show that would be a Game of Thrones-inspired project based on Themyscira, aka the idyllic, all-female island nation Diana Prince hails from. Paradise Lost was announced as part of the DCU Chapter One lineup in January 2023, but, as Gunn also told EW, progress is moving slowly on this series’ development.

A Wonder Woman movie announcement isn’t a shock in itself – after all, the Amazonian is a member of DC Comics’ iconic Trinity of superheroes. If you weren’t aware, the others are Superman and Batman.

Still, considering that Paradise Lost was meant to act as a precursor to Wonder Woman’s eventual arrival in the DCU, I don’t think anyone predicted that Gunn would confirm a Diana Prince-led project is already being worked on. I say that after Gunn sparked excitement over Wonder Woman’s DCU debut less than a month ago (at the time of publication, anyway), too.

Which actor do fans want to play Wonder Woman in the DCU?

Gal Gadot is the latest actor to portray Diana Prince on the big screen (Image credit: Warner Bros)

It’ll be a few years before Wonder Woman returns on the big screen. We don’t actually know how much work has been completed on its screenplay, nor do we have any idea about which actor will follow in the footsteps of Gal Gadot and Lynda Carter, who’ve previously played Diana Prince in a live-action capacity.

For his part, Gunn told EW he and fellow DC Studios co-chief Peter Safran haven’t opened the casting call yet. That hasn’t stopped DC devotees from drawing up a shortlist of actors they’d like to see tackle the role. Indeed, threads on the DC Cinematic and DCU Leaks Reddit pages, as well as one on ResetEra, are full of suggestions from comic-book fans and casual observers alike.

Sign up for breaking news, reviews, opinion, top tech deals, and more.

Lots of great options are being proposed, too. Monica Barbaro (A Complete Unknown, Fubar), May Calamawy (Moon Knight), Charlee Fraser (Anyone But You, Furiosa), Melissanthi Mahut (The Sandman), and Elizabeth Dulau (Andor) have all been fan-cast since the news broke.

Comment from r/DCULeaks

However, it’s another Star Wars alumnus – one who joined Dulau on Andor‘s cast roster – who’s the clear favorite among many DC fans: Adria Arjona.

I could see that happening. I think any of the aforementioned actors would be a good fit to play Diana Prince, but Arjona would certainly be my top pick to assume the role of one of DC Comics’ most popular heroes.

She’s shown she has the capabilities to play such a multidimensional character in numerous projects, including Andor, Hit Man, Blink Twice, and Good Omens. Make it so, Messrs Gunn and Safran, and I’m sure you’ll make plenty of people happy.

James Gunn confirms DC is working on a new Wonder Woman movie

by admin June 11, 2025

DC Studios head James Gunn has revealed several key things about the future of its cinematic universe, including confirmation that a Wonder Woman movie is currently in development.

James Gunn clarified to Entertainment Weekly that Wonder Woman is “a separate thing” from the upcoming HBO series Paradise Island, which centers on the Amazons of Themyscira. While he acknowledged the series is “slow moving, but it’s moving,” he also shared an update: “We’re working on Wonder Woman. Wonder Woman is being written right now.”

Diana of Themyscira has had a rough go of it in recent memory, following the cancellation of Wonder Woman 3 led by the previous team of Gal Gadot and Patty Jenkins. Speaking in 2022 about the cancellation of Wonder Woman 3, Jenkins said, “I was open to considering anything asked of me. From my understanding, there was nothing I could do to move things forward at that time. DC is clearly undergoing major changes, so I understand that these decisions are difficult right now.” Warner Bros. Games recently shut down three of its studios and canceled all projects in development, including the long-anticipated Wonder Woman game.

James also explained that although an actor has yet to be cast for the role, Batman, Superman, Supergirl, and Wonder Woman are important figures for the future of DC Studios. “I wouldn’t say only those four characters, but I would say that those four characters are incredibly important to us. Right now, I feel great about where two of those characters are, and then we’re dealing with the other two.”

Of Course, James Gunn Is Thinking About a ‘Justice League’ Movie

by admin June 10, 2025

Superman, Supergirl, Green Lantern, Peacemaker, Clayface—the list of characters 100% confirmed for James Gunn’s new DC Universe is already fairly robust. Eventually, names like Batman and Wonder Woman will join too and, in a world where superhero team-up movies are both expected and demanded, Gunn admitted that the Justice League is probably on the horizon.

“Of course, of course,” Gunn told Entertainment Weekly when asked if the Justice League was something he’d been thinking about. “But there is no Justice League in this world… not yet.”

“Not yet” implies that the movies coming now, and later, could be building to that—and when asked if the Justice League plays a role in what Gunn has planned for the overall DC Universe story, he simply replied, “Sure.”

Basically, a lot of things have to happen before we get to see the James Gunn-Peter Safran version of the Justice League. First is the release of Superman on July 11. If that’s not a hit, well, all bets are off. But assuming it is, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow would be next in 2026, with Batman and Wonder Woman projects announced over two years ago both still in development.

Gunn confirmed to EW that a Wonder Woman movie is “being written right now,” while the previously announced show about Themyscira is “slow moving, but it’s moving.” No updates on Gunn’s version of Batman but the Matt Reeves’ Batman Part II starring Robert Pattinson is still full steam ahead for a 2027 release. “What Matt’s doing is still really important, despite all stories to the contrary,” Gunn said. “We’re supposed to see that script shortly, and I can’t wait.”

Gunn was also asked about what’s next for him and Superman. The writer-director admitted earlier this year that his next film is something he was already in the process of writing. However, he would neither confirm nor deny that the film was a sequel or included Superman. In this new interview, he had an intriguing answer when asked if he had begun thinking about a Superman sequel. “What I’m working on is in some way… I mean, yes, yes, yes, yes. But is it a straight-up Superman sequel? I would not say necessarily.”

While all of this is going around in Gunn’s mind, one place it’s not is in star David Corenswet’s. When asked about potentially leading a Justice League movie, Superman himself said he’s choosing not to think about it. “I mean, that sounds awesome,” he said. “I don’t take it upon myself to think ahead in that kind of way, just because one would hate to get one’s hopes up about anything in particular and then have it go in another direction. What I like to do is stay blissfully ignorant, and then when James tells me what’s going to happen, I get to have a wonderful surprise. So if Justice League is in the back of his mind, that sounds great to me. I’ll put it at the back of my mind and we’ll see what happens.”

Read more from Gunn and the team over at Entertainment Weekly. Superman opens July 11 and we’ll have much more soon.

James Wynn Says Poor Referral Bonuses Will End Hyperliquid

by admin June 9, 2025

James Wynn, a high-risk crypto trader, has taken a shot at Hyperliquid, and its lack of a referral program is the cause of its downfall. In a recent post on X, Wynn stated that poor incentives will force users onto better platforms, as Hyperliquid’s referral payouts are ‘terrible’ even though they are generating a lot of volume.

Wynn said he made only $34,000 from referrals, an amount he called disappointing given the impact he had on the platform’s user growth. “Their referral program sucks,” he wrote, adding that other exchanges offer far more competitive rewards.

I was not paid a single cent by HyperLiquid.

I reached out on two occasions hoping to get some kind of partnership deal for all of the attention I was bringing them, and although they seemed thankful they don’t offer such deals to anyone. Which kinda makes sense considering…

— James Wynn (@JamesWynnReal) June 8, 2025

The drama escalated when Wynn revealed that he tried to strike a partnership with Hyperliquid twice. However, the DEX reportedly turned him down, saying partnerships go against its internal policy.

Rumors that Wynn’s high-octane trading was a marketing stunt were also dismissed by him: “I was not paid a single cent by Hyperliquid.” However, a new player is seen as a ray of hope for the trader in the form of a CZ-backed dark pool DEX.

Binance founder Changpeng Zhao has the resources to build a more attractive alternative, Wynn believes, especially if it has better referral bonuses. COTI has already launched a privacy-first DEX inspired by CZ’s vision, and speculation is already rife that the Binance founder may soon be joining the market himself.

Although Hyperliquid’s HYPE token has surged nearly 50% in the last month, fueled by Wynn’s trades, he has threatened to walk away from crypto futures entirely, citing manipulation and transparency concerns.

If CZ launches his own DEX, it could be game over for Hyperliquid.

Mads Mikkelsen returns as iconic James Bond villain in Hitman World of Assassination

by admin June 8, 2025

Agent 47’s next target has been revealed. Hitman World of Assassination players can now hunt down Mads Mikkelsen as he reprises his Casino Royale role as Le Chiffre.

Following a not-so-great celebrity outing that saw disgraced Conor McGregor enter and then exit Hitman’s world in 2024, a new celeb target has been revealed, and it’s a doozy.

Mads Mikkelsen of Hannibal, Star Wars, and James Bond fame, has taken on another video game role after his work in Death Stranding. He’ll be stepping into the shoes of a familiar character.

Article continues after ad

Back in 2006, Mikkelsen portrayed Le Chiffre, the first villain we’d see Daniel Craig go up against. The stakes were high, and now they’re even higher as the iconic antagonist makes his way into Hitman World of Assassination.

Mads Mikkelsen enters Hitman World of Assassination

The Danish actor was revealed for the game during the 2025 Summer Game Fest presentation. Available now until July 6, players can navigate through a casino in Paris and track down Le Chiffre, but it won’t be easy.

“This time it’s a little different,” Mikkelsen said after joining Geoff Keighley on stage. “Agent 47 is not gonna beat me in poker, he’s gonna have to figure something else out.”

Making matters all the more sweet, given IO Interactive is also working on the upcoming James Bond First Light game, players can grab an exclusive reward.

By completing the new James Bond mission in Hitman, you can grab a yet-to-be-revealed in-game item for 007 First Light. The reward will be available upon the game’s release in 2026.

There’s no telling what said reward may be, but it’s safe to expect some form of cosmetic.

IO InteractiveLe Chiffre is the next target to track down in Hitman World of Assassination.

Furthermore, Hitman fans will unlock a raft of Casino Royale-themed content as well, including a new outfit for Agent 47 along with a few new weapons. Hilariously, one is the rope Le Chiffre used to ‘torture’ or ‘itch’ Bond in the 2006 film.
