Bitcoin ETFs See $389 Million Inflow Despite Crypto Market Correction

by admin June 19, 2025

  • Bitcoin ETFs continue inflow streak
  • BlackRock’s IBIT retains dominance

The crypto market is down, and leading cryptocurrencies, especially Bitcoin, are struggling to recover from the losses encountered during recent dumps.

However, spot Bitcoin Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) have remained unmoved as they have achieved consecutive inflows for the 8th day, according to data from SosoValue.

While investors appear to have relented on accumulating Bitcoin, they are aggressively betting big on U.S. spot Bitcoin (BTC) exchange-traded funds (ETFs), as nearly $390 million in total net inflow was recorded on June 18.

Bitcoin ETFs continue inflow streak

According to data provided by the source, this marks the 8th consecutive day of Bitcoin ETF inflows, signaling strength among institutional investors despite market troubles.

Over the last day, spot Bitcoin ETFs achieved a total of $389.57 million in new capital flows, bringing the latest streak of inflows to a total of $2.4 billion.

The positive inflow streak achieved by Bitcoin ETFs over the last few days reflects unwavering confidence among institutional investors despite the recent crypto market bloodbath.

Although Bitcoin has slowly begun to regain its momentum after falling as low as $103,695 on June 18, the leading cryptocurrency now holds steady above $104,000.

Bitcoin has shown resilience with a slight price surge of 0.31% over the last day, trading steadily at $104,348 as of press time.

BlackRock’s IBIT retains dominance

This impressive inflow streak has seen BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) take the lead once again. The leading investment fund achieved the largest net inflow for the day, recording a massive $278.93 million in fresh capital.

As such, IBIT has seen its cumulative net inflow surge to a massive $50.95 billion while achieving $71.06 billion in net assets as of June 18.

Furthermore, Fidelity’s FBTC achieved the second-largest net inflow for the day with $104.38 million. This brings the fund’s cumulative net inflow as of June 18 to $11.5 billion and $20.49 billion in total net assets.

Coming in third and fourth are Bitwise’s Bitcoin ETF (BITB) and Grayscale Bitcoin Mini Trust, recording $11.32 million and $10.12 million in daily net inflows, respectively.

BlackRock’s $160M Ethereum Purchase Marks Highest ETF Inflow in 4 Months

by admin June 13, 2025

BlackRock has bought more than $160 million in Ethereum (ETH) today. This is the largest daily ETH ETF inflow in the past four months, indicating new momentum in institutional demand, as well as the general investor sentiment towards Ethereum.

This data is provided by Arkham Intelligence, a blockchain analytics site that monitors whale-sized crypto transfers. This amount marks the biggest ETH inflow into the Ethereum ETF of BlackRock since February 5, 2025, when the company purchased $274 million in ETH.

The action of such a large institutional player is important. When a company the size of BlackRock, managing trillions in assets, makes a purchase of this magnitude, it is usually an indication that they have tremendous faith in Ethereum.

Institutional inflows most likely increase liquidity, reduce volatility, and increase credibility in the crypto space.

The $160M ETH purchase by BlackRock may act as a sign to more risk-averse investors to explore this industry. Institutional adoption has always been considered an important milestone on the way to crypto maturity, decreasing any perceived entry barrier.

Rising interest in Ethereum ETFs

The move is also an indication of rising optimism towards Ethereum ETFs. Bitcoin has been stealing the ETF headlines this year, but Ethereum is now entering the limelight.

If this trend continues, Ethereum could soon attract even more institutional capital, something that long-term investors should consider when building or adjusting portfolios. For short-term traders, BlackRock’s buy-in could mean heightened volatility and trading opportunities as the market reacts.

It may be a good moment to watch key ETH price levels or volume spikes, especially if more institutional purchases follow. In the bigger picture, these movements suggest that the narrative around Ethereum is changing.

As Layer 2 scaling solutions improve and ETH solidifies its position in DeFi and beyond, institutions appear more willing to treat it as a serious long-term asset, not just a speculative play.

This BlackRock move could be a part of its grand plan to become the largest crypto asset manager in the world within the next five years.

The company revealed that it plans to focus its long-term strategy on Bitcoin, Ethereum, and tokenized funds. In addition, on Wednesday, the asset manager’s BTC ETF broke into the top 20 ETFs globally, according to a recent ranking by Bloomberg analysts.

Spot Ether ETFs ongoing inflow streak has hit $812.2M inflows

by admin June 7, 2025

US-based spot Ether exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have just recorded a third consecutive trading week of inflows. If next week follows suit, the current inflow streak alone may surpass $1 billion in total inflows.

On June 6, spot Ether (ETH) ETFs posted $25.3 million inflows for the trading day, extending the streak to 15 consecutive inflow days, according to Farside data.

Ether ETF inflow streak brings in a significant amount of net total

The current inflow streak since May 16 has now brought in $837.5 million, roughly 25% of the total $3.32 billion in net inflows since spot Ether ETFs launched in July 2024.

If the pattern continues into the coming week, an additional $162.5 million in inflows would push the streak’s total to $1 billion.

In contrast, spot Bitcoin (BTC) ETFs saw its inflow streak break on May 29, with $346.8 million in outflows. Since then, flows have been volatile, with a mix between inflow and outflow days.

Meanwhile, the spot price of Ether is up 31.23% over the past 30 days, trading at $2,490 at the time of publication, according to CoinMarketCap data.

Cointelegraph recently reported that a multi-year gold fractal is making a strong case for an Ether price rally toward $6,000 in the coming months.

Technical analyst Crypto Eagles said on June 3 that Ether appears to be repeating in the current 2024–2025 cycle, potentially setting the stage for a new all-time high.

Ether’s current all-time high of $4,878 was reached in November 2021, according to CoinGecko data.

Some industry commentators believe that adding staking to spot Ether ETFs is necessary for a stronger performance in the long run.

On May 31, Cointelegraph reported that the first Ethereum and Solana staking ETFs could debut in the United States within weeks following a recent filing by ETF provider REX Shares.

ETF analyst James Seyffart said that, while the launch date is still unknown, the firm used “regulatory workarounds to get these products to market.”

Spot Bitcoin (BTC) ETFs Snapped 10-Day Inflow Streak With $358M in Net Outflows: JPMorgan

by admin May 30, 2025

U.S.-listed spot bitcoin

exchange-traded funds (ETFs) recorded their first day of net outflows in 10 trading sessions on Thursday, according to a research report by JPMorgan (JPM).

The Wall Street bank estimated that spot bitcoin ETFs saw $358 million of redemptions yesterday, according to a Friday report, with just one, BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) attracting a net inflow. IBIT gathered in a net $125 million, the bank observed.

In contrast, Fidelity’s FBTC saw net outflows of $166 million, leading the redemptions, the report said. Other major contributors included the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC) -$107 million, ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF (ARKB) -$89 million and the Bitwise Bitcoin ETF (BITB) -$71 million, the bank said

JPMorgan said smaller outflows were also noted across the remaining issuers.

The bitcoin price slipped 1.1% on the day, but market activity remained robust with trading volumes of $5.39 billion, well above the 20-day average of $2.81 billion, the report added.

The world’s largest cryptocurrency was trading around $105,656 at publication time.

Bitcoin ETFs end 10-day inflow run as Trump tariff drama sparks investor jitters

by admin May 30, 2025

U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs hit a rough patch on May 29, snapping their impressive 10-day inflow streak as investors took a step back amid fresh uncertainty around Donald Trump’s trade policy following conflicting court decisions.

According to data from SoSoValue, a total of $358.65 million flowed out of the 12 U.S.-listed spot Bitcoin ETFs on the day, marking the first net outflow since mid-May. This reversal comes after a strong run that saw more than $4.2 billion enter these funds in just 10 days.

Leading the outflows was Fidelity’s FBTC, which saw $166.32 million in investor redemptions. It was followed by Grayscale’s GBTC, with $107.53 million withdrawn, while ARK 21Shares’ ARKB and Bitwise’s BITB lost $89.22 million and $70.85 million, respectively.

Other funds such as Invesco’s BTCO, VanEck’s HODL, Valkyrie’s BRRR, and Franklin Templeton’s EZBC also experienced smaller outflows, totaling a combined $49.83 million.

Still, it wasn’t entirely bearish across the board. BlackRock’s IBIT once again stood out, recording $125.09 million in inflows, a sign that some investors still view the pullback as a buying opportunity.

Despite the sharp one-day outflow, May has still been a bullish month for Bitcoin ETFs, with net inflows reaching around $5.85 billion, nearly twice the amount seen in April. By comparison, February and March saw net outflows of $3.56 billion and $767.91 million, respectively, underscoring just how strong investor appetite has been lately.

Interestingly, while Bitcoin ETFs have attracted nearly $9 billion over the last five weeks, traditional gold-backed ETFs have shed more than $2.8 billion in outflows. This trend hints at a growing shift in investor preference, as more people start viewing Bitcoin as a legitimate store of value and hedge against inflation, roles traditionally filled by gold.

As for what triggered this sudden shift, many point to the ongoing tariff saga involving former President Trump. A federal appeals court reinstated Trump’s tariffs on the European Union just hours after a lower trade court ruled them unlawful. Now, the administration is expected to ask the Supreme Court to put that ruling on hold, potentially as early as Friday.

The back-and-forth in court has stirred up a wave of uncertainty around U.S. trade policy. Trump’s “reciprocal tariff” approach, which targets nations that impose higher tariffs on U.S. goods, has been a key point of tension with allies and trading partners. Investors are now worried that a return to aggressive tariff policies could drive up costs and reaccelerate inflation.

Markets react

In response, Bitcoin’s (BTC) price dipped, touching a session low of $105,332 on May 30 before recovering slightly to just above $106,000. That’s a 1.7% decline in 24 hours, although the top cryptocurrency still sits within 5% of its all-time high of $111,891, hit earlier this month.

Crypto-related stocks had a mixed day. Coinbase (COIN) slid 2.14%, while MicroStrategy (MSTR) managed a 1.7% gain. Bitcoin miners also took a hit with Bitfarms (BITF), Bit Digital (BTBT), CleanSpark (CLSK), and Greenidge (GREE) all dropping by around 3-5%.

Meanwhile, traditional U.S. equities also gave back most of the gains they saw after the initial court ruling blocking Trump’s tariffs. With legal uncertainty still looming, markets across the board seem to be shifting into wait-and-watch mode.

“The recent activity appears more indicative of a correction rather than a bearish reversal,” Ruslan Lienkha, chief of markets at YouHodler, told crypto.news, adding that Bitcoin will likely continue tracking major U.S. tech indices in the medium term due to their shared sensitivity to macroeconomic factors like interest rates and liquidity.

However, he added that “this correlation may gradually weaken over time” as Bitcoin continues to evolve into a more mature asset class with its own unique market drivers

“Given these dynamics, it is likely that BTC will continue to trade within this range for some time, potentially building a solid foundation for the next leg higher toward a new all-time high.”
