Roblox kicks off Roblox Developers Conference 2025 with a “suite of innovations,” including an 8.5% boost to creator revenue

by admin September 8, 2025

Roblox has announced a “suite of innovations” across AI and creator monetization, and revealed that over the last year, creators earned over $1 billion through the DevEx program.

At last week’s Roblox Developers Conference, the company laid out a number of new initiatives, including plans to boost the Roblox Developer Exchange (DevEx) rate for all creators by 8.5%, explaining that “now, 100,000 earned Robux will equal $380, rather than $350 when converted to cash.”

Creators will also be able to utilize assets from Mattel, Kodanasha, and Lionsgate, all of which have joined the megacorp’s IP licensing program. This will introduce brands like Matchbox, Polly Pocket, and Blair Witch to the Roblox ecosystem.

Building on the Generative 3D creation tools introduced earlier this year, Roblox also unveiled its new generation of “fully functional 4D objects with AI, new language tools including text-to-speech and speech-to-text APIs, and real-time voice translation technology, and integration of MCP into Studio’s Assistant to accelerate creation.”

The company also revealed Roblox Moments, a “new way for users to discover experiences through short-form video clips of exciting gameplay moments, and creators to reach new audiences.”

“Users can capture, edit, and share clips of their gameplay, which others can click Join to instantly try out the experience themselves,” Roblox explained. “Soon, we’ll release Moments APIs, which will help creators grow their audience and drive stronger engagement.”

“Our announcements ladder up to a broader goal that we announced at last year’s RDC – that 10% of all gaming content revenue will flow through the Roblox ecosystem and be distributed within our community of creators,” Roblox added.

“In order to get there, we are investing in every stage of the creator development cycle from creation to monetization – these new releases are designed to help Roblox creators bring to life compelling content, scale their audience, increase their earning potential, and build successful businesses.”

Last week, Roblox partnered with the International Age Rating Coalition (IARC) to replace its current maturity labels.

Snag 17 Lego Games For Only $15, Including Skywalker Saga And Batman Trilogy

by admin September 6, 2025

Humble has brought back one of the most popular game bundles from last year as part of its Best of Humble Bundle series. From now until September 24, you can get 17 Lego video games for only $15. Many of the biggest franchises from Traveller’s Tales extensive catalog of licensed games are included in the lineup: Star Wars, Batman, Marvel, Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, Jurassic World, and more. All told, Lego Worlds Collide 2025 is valued at $499, while the 2024 version was worth $419.

All 17 games in the bundle will be instantly added to your Humble account as Steam keys, and the vast majority run wonderfully on Steam Deck. Most of the games have split-screen cooperative modes and are great adventures for parents to play with kids.

Part of the proceeds from your $15 (or more) donation go toward Raiden Science Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to finding a cure for the genetic disorder UBA5 and other rare diseases that affect children.

Get 17 Lego video games for $15

Here’s the full list of games in Lego Worlds Collide 2025:

  • Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Deluxe Edition
  • Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens Deluxe Edition
  • Lego The Lord of the Rings
  • Lego The Hobbit
  • Lego Batman
  • Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes
  • Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham Premium Edition
  • Lego DC Super-Villains Deluxe Edition
  • Lego Marvel Super Heroes
  • Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 Deluxe Edition
  • Lego Marvel Avengers Deluxe Edition
  • Lego Jurassic World
  • Lego Disney Pixar’s The Incredibles
  • The Lego Movie Video Game
  • The Lego Movie 2 Video Game
  • The Lego Ninjago Movie Video Game
  • Lego Worlds

As usual, Humble has lower-priced tiers, but the full bundle offers the best value by a considerable margin. For $5, you can get Marvel Super Heroes, The Hobbit, Batman, and The Lego Movie Video Game. Step up to the $10 tier to add Batman 2: DC Super Heroes, The Lord of the Rings, The Lego Ninjago Movie, and Marvel’s Avengers Deluxe Edition.

The Lego Worlds Collide 2025 bundle does have a couple of minor differences compared to last year’s iteration. This time around, you also get Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga’s Deluxe Edition, whereas last year the bundle included a coupon to get the game for 85% off. Additionally, the two Lego Harry Potter games are noticeably absent, dropping the total number of titles from 18 to 17. But you’re getting extra content elsewhere: Four of the games that were standard editions last year are now Deluxe/Premium Editions that include season passes with additional content.

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

The headliner is The Skywalker Saga, the newest game in Traveller’s Tales series. The Skywalker Saga broke from the familiar mold by offering large, open-world environments, an overhauled combat system, and a modern third-person camera angle.

The Skywalker Saga was the biggest and most ambitious Lego game yet when it launched in 2022–though we’ll see if that changes when Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight releases in 2026. And what we’ve seen and played so far has been quite promising. With that in mind, now’s a pretty good time to revisit the first three Lego Batman games, all of which are included in Lego Worlds Collide 2025.

For bundle deals on real Lego sets, check out our roundup highlighting all of the great offers in Walmart’s Bricktember Sale. This limited-time promotion includes exclusive bundles for Lego Star Wars, Spider-Man, Harry Potter, Fortnite, and more. Walmart also has exclusive Lego Gift Sets featuring a bunch of Star Wars and Minecraft minifigures as well as discounts on the newly released Lego 2025 Advent Calendars.

Magic: The Gathering’s Spider-Man set is full of Spider-Verse Spider-Folk including the superhero identities of Peter Parker’s alternate-universe wife and daughter

by admin September 2, 2025

It’s wild to think how influential Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions was. The actually pretty good videogame from 2010 gave us a meeting of four alternate Spider-Mans, though that wasn’t enough for one its writers, Dan Slott, who thought it would be better with all of them. That inspired him to write the crossover Spider-Verse, which in turn inspired the animated Spider-Verse movies, the live-action movie Spider-Man: No Way Home, and the character’s whole modern status quo where he’s part of his own multiverse of Spider-People.

Which includes Spinneret and Spiderling, as depicted in this preview card from Magic: The Gathering’s Spider-Man set. They’re from an alternate Earth where Peter Parker and MJ stayed married and had a daughter, Annie-May Parker, who developed spider-powers of her own. She became the superhero named Spiderling while MJ, thanks to a high-tech suit that lets her share her husband’s abilities, fights crime alongside her family as Spinneret.

(Image credit: Wizards of the Coast)

This is told in a series that began as a crossover spin-off called Renew Your Vows, focusing on the domestic life of this Spider-Family. The struggle of two constantly exhausted parents who are not as young as they used to be makes for a surprisingly grounded superhero saga, one where heroes still have to worry about having breakfast on the table for their kid in the morning. The least realistic thing about it is that a fashion expert like MJ would wear an outfit with those boot cuffs.

Related articles

The cards revealed so far in Magic’s Spider-Man set show plenty of similar multiversal deep cuts, like Spider-Cat from Spider-Island, Lyla the hologram sidekick from Spider-Man 2099, and multiple cards sharing the keyword ability “menace” because it’s J. Jonah Jameson’s favorite word for summing up Spidey. Which is cute.

The Renew Your Vows storyline that gave us Spinneret and Spiderling felt like a continuation of Spider-Man’s original promise. The early issues back in the ’60s depicted Peter Parker’s changing life as he grew up, but at a certain point the clock was wound back to trap him in bachelor stasis. Renew Your Vows let us see how Spider-Man would have changed if he’d been allowed to reveal his quips were dad jokes all along, and how his supporting cast could have grown alongside him to become co-stars in their own right.

It was only ever an alternate timeline, but thanks to the Spider-Verse we get to spend time with it and every other possibility, from the cartoon world of Spider-Ham to the hard-boiled Spider-Man Noir, and Magic’s clearly leaning into that variety with this set. They even brought back the Riot keyword from Ravnica Allegiance just for Spider-Punk. We owe it all to the outsized influence of Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, a seven-out-of-ten game that nevertheless reshaped an entire corner of popular culture.

Magic: The Gathering x Marvel’s Spider-Man will be available from September 26. Prerelease events begin on September 19.

Space Marine 2 unveils a roadmap for its second year of updates including a new playable class, bosses, weapons, and more

by admin August 29, 2025

Space Marine 2 – Year 2 Trailer – YouTube

Watch On

Good news for fans of Space Marine 2’s multiplayer modes, which Saber Interactive has committed to supporting for a whole ‘nother year. As the developer announced, patch 10, on the first anniversary of Space Marine 2’s release, will be the beginning of a second year of updates and additions.

Patch 10 is apparently the “biggest patch to date.” Due on September 4, it includes a new boss (the Chaos Spawn, in three variants), a new PvP arena and mode (Helbrute Onslaught, in which you can play as a big robotic Helbrute), three new weapons, a new PvE map and mode, and the Chaos Armour cosmetics pack (the U in Armour is part of the name because Warhammer is quintessentially British).

There’s another patch scheduled to be squeezed in before the end of the year, but the update kicking off 2026 looks like a more notable one since it includes the techmarine, a new playable class who comes armed with an Omnissiah axe. It’ll be interesting to see how an engineer fits in with the existing six classes, especially if they’re a melee-focused addition. In 40K, techmarines often serve as drivers and pilots, but also mix it up in hand-to-hand with their gigantic axes and a proliferation of mechanical arms that would make Doctor Octopus jealous. I suspect Space Marine 2 will probably embrace the latter depiction.

Related articles

As well as all these free updates, Space Marine 2 is getting a second season pass of champion and cosmetic packs, so if you really want to cover yourself in the rad shark logo of the Carcharadon marines you’ll be able to do that when patch 12 comes out. There’s also a new chapter coming in patch 13: the Iron Hands. As the space marine chapter closest to the tech-priests, they’ll make a good match for techmarines.

While Space Marine 3 is currently in development, Saber Interactive is committed to continuing support for Space Marine 2. Which is nice for all the people who have stuck with its multiplayer modes. As someone who loved the original for its singleplayer campaign and found the sequel just kind of OK in that department, it’s a reminder that maybe I shouldn’t get my hopes up too high. At least Dawn of War 4 is doubling down on singleplayer to keep me and the rest of the cranky loners appeased.

Elden Ring: Nightreign is getting a new ‘high difficulty mode’ in September, including an ‘endless battle for those seeking even greater thrills’

by admin August 28, 2025

Back in 2024, as the soulslike difficulty discourse once again reared its silly head, Elden Ring director Hidetaka Miyazaki said FromSoft “could just crank the difficulty down,” but warned that doing so “would break the game itself.” That doesn’t seem to be a concern going the other direction, though, as Bandai Namco says a new “high-difficulty challenge mode” called Deep of Night is coming to Elden Ring: Nightreign in September.

Now, before we get too far into this, I know, Elden Ring and Elden Ring: Nightreign are two very different experiences: One an almost entirely solo soulslike, the other a co-op focused extraction game. So the analogy isn’t exact—difficulty becomes less of a pressing issue when you’re travelling with your own personal Let Me Solo Her—but even so I find the whole “We can’t go down, but we can sure as hell go up” approach quite funny.

Anyway, Deep of Night is “designed for seasoned players who have navigated through the Night many times,” Bandai said. Enemies will be stronger than in other modes, and players won’t be able to target specific Nightlords when they set out—you’ll get who you get, and good luck to you.

Related articles

“Ongoing terrain changes are not reflected,” Bandai said, which I assume means Shifting Earth modifiers are off the table, and there will be new items exclusive to the Deep of Night mode, including “Depths Relics” and weapons with multiple new—”but also detrimental”—effects. Hey, the Nightlord giveth, and the Nightlord taketh away.

“‘Deep of Night’ is a high-difficulty mode that provides a thrilling and challenging adventure,” Bandai wrote. “We encourage you to try and see if you can surpass Depth 3.” If you do, Depths 4 and 5 “will feature an endless battle for those seeking even greater thrills.” Deep of Night’s difficulty will increase as you descend, but will also “fluctuate based on wins and losses,” Bandai said.

If all of this is ringing a bell, it’s likely because you read about some Nightreign datamining earlier this month that uncovered information on the Deep of Night mode, including that it will have five “depths,” each with 999 ratings—a system seemingly similar to the one FromSoft used for Armor Core 6.

How exactly it will all work out in practice remains to be seen, but players will find out soon enough: Nightreign’s Deep of Night mode is set to go live on September 11.

Shinobi: Art Of Vengeance Is Getting Sega Guest DLC, Including Sonic’s Eggman

by admin August 19, 2025

Shinobi: Art of Vengeance is due out later this month, and now Sega has announced a fun if surprising bit of DLC that’s coming “early 2026.” Dubbed the Sega Villains Stage, details are still pretty light on the DLC, but Sonic the Hedgehog’s Dr. Eggman is set to appear as a boss fight. Alongside that, protagonist Joe Musashi will have two other guest villains to take on, though they are yet to be revealed. If you’re picking up the digital deluxe edition of Shinobi: Art of Vengeance, you’ll automatically unlock it whenever the DLC does arrive next year.

Sega also announced that Young Dirty Bastard (YDB), i.e. the son of the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard from Wu-Tang Clan, is releasing a song called The Path Has Just Begun inspired by the Shinobi series. It’ll be released on streaming services this week, August 21, and you can expect a new trailer for the game on the same day.

Now Playing: Shinobi: Art of Vengeance – Announcement Trailer

Shinobi: Art of Vengeance was teased back at The Game Awards in 2023 before getting a proper reveal earlier this year, bringing the series back to its roots with 2D action-platforming. It’s also the first new game in the series since 2011’s Shinobi 3D, a 3DS title that received average reviews at the time. This new Shinobi game comes as part of a broader move by Sega to bring back some of its legacy titles that haven’t received a new entry in many years, like Jet Set Radio and Crazy Taxi. A movie adaptation of the Shinobi series is also in the works.

You’ll be able to pick up Shinobi: Art of Vengeance on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC when it launches on August 29.

Eight games, including an overlooked Metroidvania, will leave PlayStation Plus in September

by admin August 19, 2025

The games set to leave PlayStation Plus Extra in September have been revealed. The eight titles include some very good games, so you might want to make some time before 16th September to get them played.

As these games are part of the Game Catalogue and not the monthly games that you claim as part of PS Plus Essential, these games will no longer be playable from 16th September even if they are in your library.

Leaving PS Plus Extra on 16th September:

  • UFC 5 (PS5)
  • The Plucky Squire (PS5)
  • Night in the Woods (PS5, PS4)
  • Road 96 (PS5, PS4)
  • Pistol Whip (PSVR2)
  • Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir (PS4)
  • FIST: Forged In Shadow Torch (PS5, PS4)
  • Dragon’s Crown Pro (PS4)

Of the bunch, I’d certainly recommend FIST: Forged In Shadow Torch, especially if you are partial to a Metroidvania. Pistol Whip is superb if you have PS VR2, and the Plucky Squire is definitely worth a look even though it didn’t quite live up to pre-launch expectations. Night in the Woods is also excellent.

In fact, why stop there… Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir and Dragon’s Crown Pro are also very good games. So, really, what I’m saying is, don’t rush to play UFC 5 (which is fine, but just more UFC) or Road 96 (didn’t enjoy the writing on this, unfortunately), but all the others are worth your time.

This is a news-in-brief story. This is part of our vision to bring you all the big news as part of a daily live report.
