Market Expert Says Ripple Vs. SEC Lawsuit Is In Final Chapter, Here’s Why

by admin June 25, 2025

Market expert Abraham has declared that the Ripple vs. SEC lawsuit is in its final chapter, with the long-running legal battle coming to a close. The expert also explained how this would lead to a “regulatory breakout” for XRP, with the altcoin coming out favored.

Ripple Vs. SEC Lawsuit Approaching A Final Resolution

In an X post, Abraham affirmed that market participants are witnessing the last chapter of the Ripple vs. SEC lawsuit. He remarked that XRP is about to emerge not just free but favored. The expert then alluded to how both parties have jointly paused their appeals, which confirms that they are ready to settle and reach a final resolution.

Both parties recently filed a status report before the appeals court, in which they asked for an extension of the pause on the case while they get an indicative ruling from Judge Analisa Torres. Abraham noted the joint motion, which has been filed in the Ripple vs. SEC lawsuit, for this indicative ruling.

He explained that both parties seek Judge Torres to dissolve the injunction against Ripple and lower the civil penalty against the crypto firm to $50 million. The expert remarked that this isn’t just a “slap on the wrist” but a public signal that Ripple won. Abraham added that institutions are watching.

As to what happens next, the expert is confident that Judge Torres will issue her final ruling in the Ripple vs. SEC lawsuit, likely validating that XRP is not a security. When this happens, Abraham predicts that every institution sitting on the sidelines gets the green light. This is what he described as the “regulatory breakout” moment. Basically, this would clear the “legal cloud” over XRP for good.

XRP ETFs On The Horizon

With the Ripple vs. SEC lawsuit in its final chapter, Abraham is confident that the XRP ETFs could get approval anytime soon. He noted that these funds have just entered their public comment phase. Meanwhile, their approval odds in 2025 are over 90% based on current legal momentum, clarity, and market demand. Based on this, the expert declared that the “ETF floodgate is about to burst.”

He then proceeded to highlight the factors that will be the setup for the next XRP bull cycle, including the Ripple vs. SEC lawsuit. The end of the lawsuit will bring about regulatory clarity and also open the path for approval for the XRP ETFs. These ETFs will lead to institutional access. Meanwhile, Abraham predicts that XRP’s global use case will explode in the process, with utility demand being greater than retail speculation.

At the time of writing, the XRP price is trading at around $2.17, up in the last 24 hours, according to data from CoinMarketCap.

here’s what the whales are buying instead

by admin June 23, 2025

Nansen’s research analyst points out that exchange outflows likely mean investors are buying the dip.

Israel’s war with Iran has triggered a significant dip in the price of Bitcoin (BTC). However, Nicolai Søndergaard, Research Analyst at Nansen, explains that many investors appear to be buying the dip. In a statement shared with crypto.news on Monday, June 23, Søndergaard also revealed what the whales are accumulating.

“We are seeing exchange outflows so it is likely that people, regardless of being retail or institutions are buying the dip,” Nansen’s Søndergaard said in a note. Generally when it comes to war and other external factors that disrupt things globally, there tends to be heavy short-term dips which later rebound,” he added.

The situation appears to be unfolding similarly this time, following the conflict between Israel and Iran, which the U.S. recently joined. Søndergaard noted that the rebound will likely depend on the severity of what comes next. Still, he emphasized that smart money seems to be betting on a better outcome than most expect.

“Regardless of this, smart money still seems to be going a bit more risk off,” Søndergaard revealed, citing analytics from Nansen’s platform.

Whales are buying memecoins, despite the Bitcoin dip

Nansen’s analytics reveal significant interest in memecoins among whales. Specifically, all of the top earners in the past seven days who had at least a 50% win rate had some level of exposure to memecoins.

The biggest winner made all of their profits on memecoins, achieving an ROI of 2,829% with a realized net profit of 196%. Most of these gains came from the USELESS memecoin token.

Memecoins have seen a strong recovery on June 23, with many of the top tokens seeing double-digit gains. Among the top gainers, SPX6900 was up 20%, Fartcoin was up 17%, and Mog Coin was up 22%. Still, these gains were not enough to cover their weekly losses.

A popular WordPress theme has been hijacked by malware – here’s what we know

by admin June 23, 2025

  • ‘Motors’ WordPress theme vulnerability leaves accounts open to takeover attacks
  • Widespread attacks were observed from June 7 onwards
  • A patch is available in version 5.6.68, so update now

A popular premium WordPress theme, has been exploited by hackers thanks to a critical privilege escalation flaw tracked as CVE-2025-4322.

Attackers are able to exploit the vulnerability in the ‘Motors’ theme to hijack administrator accounts, taking full control of sites to change details, inject false details and spread malicious payloads.

Developed by StylemixThemes and a popular pick among automotive websites, nearly 22,500 sales of the theme have been logged on EnvatoMarket.

‘Motors’ WordPress theme has been hijacked

The vulnerability had first been discovered on May 2, 2025, with a patch later released with version 5.6.68 on May 14, meaning that up-to-date accounts should be protected from potential account takeovers. Versions up to 5.6.67 are affected by the CVE, with Wordfence reporting on the details on May 19.

“This is due to the theme not properly validating a user’s identity prior to updating their password,” Wordfence explained.

“This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to change arbitrary user passwords, including those of administrators, and leverage that to gain access to their account.”

Although the patch has already been released, accounts that are still running older versions are at risk of takeover, with attacks seen to have started on May 20. By June 7, researchers were observing wide-scale attacks – Wordfence has now blocked more than 23,000 attack attempts.

Sign up to the TechRadar Pro newsletter to get all the top news, opinion, features and guidance your business needs to succeed!

Wordfence also disclosed a number of key IP addresses seen to be attacking sites – many making thousands of attempts each.

“One obvious sign of infection is if a site’s administrator is unable to log in with the correct password as it may have been changed as a result of this vulnerability,” the researchers explained.

The biggest change users of the ‘Motors’ theme can do is to update to version 5.6.68, closing the vulnerability to attackers and securing their accounts from takeovers.

Here’s the VPN Trick You Need

by admin June 22, 2025

Without YouTube Premium, you’re doomed to watch ads every few minutes, sometimes more often. If you’re exhausted by head-spinning ads, consider purchasing a YouTube Premium subscription. Sensible, right?

Well, not for everyone.

YouTube Premium’s recent price increases made it unaffordable for many. People online have found a simpler way to block YouTube ads. You wouldn’t believe it, but these two VPNs make YouTube ads vanish in seconds!

Ditch YouTube Ads With These VPNs

NordVPN and Surfshark are renowned for their reliability. They provide exceptional privacy, streaming prowess, and compatibility with all devices.

While both VPNs include ad blockers, they’ve become ineffective in blocking YouTube ads. Well, that’s what most people thought.

Namely, when you use NordVPN or Surfshark and connect to a server in Albania, YouTube ads suddenly disappear. Having tested the trick, we realised it’s true. You may be wondering how this works.

Avoid YouTube Ads With NordVPN

As many people there have reported, YouTube doesn’t display ads in Albania. Simultaneously, NordVPN and Surfshark work like all other VPNs. They allow you to connect to a remote server and use its IP address.

Given these VPNs’ strong presence in Albania, connecting to an associated server is a breeze. With the Albanian IP address, users can overcome YouTube ads and enjoy an experience similar to what YouTube Premium provides.

Things like adding videos to the queue and playing videos with the screen off aren’t there. At least, you won’t notice any ads, allowing for uninterrupted entertainment on all devices.

Other Reasons to Use a VPN

While YouTube is a big part of our lives, splurging on a VPN gives you much more. Watching YouTube without ads is just a speck in the universe of possibilities. One of them is very popular, and it’s bypassing geo-blocks.

NordVPN and Surfshark are particularly effective at streaming and unblocking many websites. They offer over 100 locations globally, with modern 10 Gbps servers and fast protocols to enable industry-leading speeds.

Many people latch onto torrenting as a perk. Both VPNs are equipped with optimised servers for P2P. In addition, they provide MultiHop (Double VPN) capabilities for double the encryption and more security and privacy.

All-around VPNs like these are fantastic for gaming, and you can even enable them on public WiFi networks for added protection. If you’re an avid traveller, more privacy and ad-free YouTube enjoyment sounds exciting.

No bandwidth limits mean endless possibilities, but more importantly, you don’t need wealth to get them. NordVPN and Surfshark cost pennies these days, so you don’t have to ditch your summer vacation for their subscriptions.

Try Surfshark risk-free today

Here’s our first look at gameplay from former The Witcher developers’ fantasy RPG, The Blood of the Dawnwalker

by admin June 22, 2025

Rebel Wolves, the studio from former CD Projekt director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, has dropped a new trailer giving us our first meaningful look at The Blood of the Dawnwalker’s gameplay.

Recorded on PC – and clearly labelled as a pre-beta “work-in-progress” – the trailer presents a bumper-length introduction to some of the game’s features and gameplay mechanics. You can check it out below:

The Blood of Dawnwalker — Gameplay Overview.Watch on YouTube

As well as watching protagonist Coen in action, and some of the gorgeous environments he’ll visit, we also get a good long look at his perks menu, too, and learn a little more about how to balance his human qualities with his superhuman ones.

“Using hexes consumes his health,” explains design director, Daniel Sadowski. “The way our magic system works, there’s always a price to pay for manipulating reality.”

Rebel Wolves confirmed its first project would be dark fantasy RPG Dawnwalker at the beginning of last year. Described as a “brand-new role-playing saga”, it’s single-player and open-world, with a “strong focus on story and narrative”, casting players as Coen – a “young man turned into a Dawnwalker, forever treading the line between the world of day and the realm of night”. You must “fight for your humanity or embrace the cursed powers to save your family”.

Alongside Tomaszkiewicz, Rebel Wolves counts former CD Projekt scribe Jakub Szamałek as its narrative director and main writer, with other team members including design director Daniel Sadowski, animation director Tamara Zawada, art director Bartłomiej Gaweł, CFO Michał Boryka, and studio head Robert Murzynowski – who have collectively worked on games such as Cyberpunk, Thronebreaker, Shadow Warrior 2, and The Witcher series.

The Blood of Dawnwalker is coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series in 2026.

Dogecoin Falls Below $0.16: Here’s How Its Price Action Could Play Out

by admin June 22, 2025

Trusted Editorial content, reviewed by leading industry experts and seasoned editors. Ad Disclosure

Dogecoin’s recent market performance has added to growing concerns about the fading strength of the meme coin sector. Over the past 24 hours, the meme coin has plunged by nearly 4%, pushing its price below $0.16 for the first time since April. This slide now extends a month-long downtrend, during which Dogecoin has been dropping from $0.23 up until the time of writing.

Dogecoin Price Slips Below $0.16

Multiple support levels have been breached along the way to Dogecoin’s recent crash below $0.16, including $0.21 and $0.18. Notably, Dogecoin’s price decline has intensified in the past two days, which has caused it to fall in market cap rankings and become overtaken by Tron. At the time of writing, DOGE is posting losses of about 36% in a 30-day timeframe.

This latest correction is not just a Dogecoin-specific event but reflects a broader decline in the entire crypto industry. Bitcoin’s sideways trading near the $104,000 to $106,000 range has weighed heavily on altcoins, and Dogecoin has proven particularly vulnerable. Furthermore, fading meme coin enthusiasm has also played a role, with other meme coins like Shiba Inu and PEPE down by around 30% in the past 30 days.

What’s Next For DOGE?

Now that Dogecoin is officially trading below $0.16 again, the outlook is increasingly turning bearish. Technical analyst Ali Martinez, posting on social platform X, had previously pointed out the importance of Dogecoin’s previous price range between $0.16 and $0.22.

As noted by the analyst, a daily close outside this price range would signal the next major directional move, which could be as much as 60% in either direction. That signal has now been triggered into a downside movement. According to Martinez, this breakdown could pave the way for a sharp 60% correction if selling pressure increases. The symmetrical triangle pattern visible on the daily chart, once a sign of neutral consolidation, has now tipped bearish.

From a technical perspective, this breach invalidates the previous range-bound support and opens up downside targets as low as $0.088, a level not seen since the early stages of DOGE’s rally in August 2021. The Fibonacci levels also reinforce this outlook, with the next significant support sitting around $0.13. Unless Dogecoin can witness a rapid recovery above $0.16 in the coming days, its price may be heading toward a much deeper retracement, one that could redefine its position in the current market cycle.

Nonetheless, hopes for a Dogecoin ETF are still active, but they have failed so far to offset the weight of the bearish price action. According to Bloomberg Intelligence analyst James Seyffart, the odds of the SEC approving a Spot Dogecoin ETF are now about 90%. Only Litecoin, Solana, and XRP have a higher approval chance of 95%. At the time of writing, DOGE is trading at $0.1565.

Etsy Is Clamping Down on 3D Printed Products. Here’s How It Could Affect You

by admin June 22, 2025

It feels like everyone needs a side hustle these days. If your hobby can help make you some extra income, it seems like a no-brainer to at least try and do it. 3D printing, laser engraving and using vinyl cutters like the famous Cricut machine all give you a chance to make something beautiful, unique and sellable. Etsy has been the storefront of choice for almost 20 years, and despite other options being available, it still boasts 8.13 million active sellers in 2025, according to a recent Contimod report.

Recently, the company has clarified its policies surrounding the “Made by a Seller” category, specifically relating to “items produced using computerized tools.” The updates are subtle but could fundamentally change the way a lot of small businesses operate moving forward.

Are all of these the same dragon, or are they different enough to be unique?

Etsy/Screenshot: James Bricknell/CNET

If you’ve ever searched for 3D-printed dragons on Etsy, you will likely have seen a screen like the one above. While each dragon looks very similar — they are all articulated with little to no painting — no two are the exact same. Almost all of the dragons you will see have been made by a small group of designers who license their digital models out to the Etsy seller, who use small print farms, or even single 3D printers, to print the physical model for sale. Etsy’s latest update to its company policy around computerized tools has removed a key component that allowed for this type of licensing, leaving many sellers confused as to where they stand.

Items produced using computerized tools: Physical items that a seller produced in their personal shop or home, using computerized tools such as a laser printer, 3D printer, CNC or Cricut machine. These items must be produced based on a seller’s original design and are often personalized or customized to a buyer’s specification.

An Etsy spokesperson told me that the above policy has always been Etsy’s standard position on products that are made by sellers. The area I have added emphasis to is the part that has been edited. Originally, the Etsy guidelines included the phrase “…or using a templated design or pattern…” which seemed to allow for the use of designs from 3D modelers. By removing this section and keeping the part about the original design, it seems to say that each seller must design the digital file themselves, as well as print it out, post-process it and ship it out.

Etsy has said this update in policy is to clarify its position, rather than change it. According to the creative guidelines, an item that doesn’t qualify is “A commercially available base item with only superficial alteration, such as addition of a simple, mass-produced stick-on adornment.” The sticking point seems to be the “commercially available” part, as a lot of 3D print sellers on Etsy use a commercial license from 3D modelers as a source to create physical models.

The business of 3D printing

Patreon/Screenshot: James Bricknell/CNET

3D modelers that sell commercial licenses through sites like Patreon, Thangs, and Printables have sprung up over the last few years, to much success and accolades across the 3D printing space. Christian, or CraftyKid3D, as he is known on Patreon and social media, creates 3D models based on books and reading, including beautiful dragon bookends and small book holders to help you hold your paperbacks open. His Patreon has a commercial license tier that allows you to sell physical copies of his digital models online or at craft fairs and farmers’ markets. He currently has 860 Patreon subscribers, whose $10 per month subscriptions make up a significant portion of his income.

Etsy’s updated policy is likely to significantly reduce Christians subscribers’ ability to use the models he releases on that platform, causing both his and his subscribers’ ability to sustain themselves. Worse, because the policy is vague, Etsy sellers could find themselves in violation by not knowing where the line is drawn. Even Etsy’s own customer service seems to be confused, offering contradicting answers to questions asked by sellers.

Two different responses to the same questions.

CraftyKid3D/STLFlix/Screenshot: James Bricknell/CNET

My colleague and fellow 3D printing enthusiast, Russell Holly, said the vagueness may be the point of the phrasing. “I suspect the current guidance is vague on purpose to discourage these mass production groups from making one small change and moving on, but that reality is inevitable.” My question in answer to this is, where is the line for making small changes, and who else does it affect?

James Bricknell/Russell Holly/CNET

These two prints are clearly the same model, but each of us used a different color material and a different level of effort to paint the model in the slicing software. Digital files can be “painted” in the software to assign different colors to certain areas of the print. My copy (at left) is a fairly easy two-tone change to give me a brown front of the house surrounded by green, but Russell’s (right) uses different colors and has had more time spent delineating which areas are which colors. This is a digital process to be sure, and not as manual as, say, weeding a Cricut vinyl and sticking it onto a Stanley tumbler, but it still takes time and effort and changes the look and feel in a material way. The question then becomes, what is enough of a change to constitute an original piece? That’ll be up to Etsy to decide on a case-by-case basis, which itself offers a lot of issues.

Policing a site as big as Etsy is incredibly difficult and relies heavily on IP infringements being reported by the holders of that IP. This isn’t the same scenario as the creators of the 3D models actively approve of people using them to produce physical copies, so they wouldn’t report the use to Etsy. This means Etsy will have to spend resources on policing these models themselves. It has been said that Etsy uses reports from other sellers to take down IP violations, but in its handbook it states that it doesn’t “…accept reports of infringement by just anybody — only from the intellectual property owner or the owner’s authorized agent…” so it’s unlikely it will go that route, but they will have to do something if they want anything to actually change.

In conversation with me and other members of the CraftyKid3D Patreon community — I am a member, and use his models to test the best 3D printers — Christian expressed his concern that Etsy would have trouble enforcing this policy change. “Etsy has always been poor on moderation. It’s the companies like Universal, Sony, Disney, that will contact Etsy to remove copyright products. But even Etsy can’t keep that under control.” He went on to say, “Unless they have new tech, I highly doubt they can enforce this….”

What does this policy mean for you as a seller?

The helmet on the left likely wouldn’t be covered by Etsy’s policy, but the one on the right would.

James Bricknell/CNET

If you use Etsy to sell your 3D-printed products, you’re going to need to think about what products you make and how much you’re willing to alter them. One of the biggest profit considerations is how long it takes to post-process a 3D-printed model. The most profit always comes from something that can be sold with some basic cleanup and not much else, so if you have to spend time and materials to alter a print significantly, your profit margin decreases.

Holly said, “If you’ve printed a cosplay helmet designed by someone else but then gone through the work of sanding and painting and all of that, it’s no longer the same thing it was when it came off the printer and would not be subject to this policy.” I agree with him that this use case would almost certainly be allowed by Etsy, but we don’t have a clear idea if that’s true. In this picture, you can see two Mandalorian helmets that I’ve printed. The one on the left is the original file with no alterations except that I printed it in a soft PLA so my daughter could wear it without fear of breaking it if she dropped it. It took me a little time to remove the supports and clean it up, but I could have sold it for a good profit because it’s a different way to print helmets.

The one on the right took a lot of time. The steps I had to go through were:

  • Remove the 3D printed supports
  • Sand the whole helmet until smooth
  • Fill any layer lines left over from the first sanding
  • Sand the dried filler so that everything is smooth and even
  • Spray filler/primer over the helmet to create a uniform layer
  • Spray the helmet with a black gloss undercoat
  • Spray the helmet with a silver paint
  • Glue the separate ear pieces on
  • Spray with a clear gloss to protect the silver paint

Now, I can sell this second helmet on Etsy. I’m sure the policy would cover this kind of adjustment, and I could even turn a decent profit, but it would be far less than the profit from the first helmet, even though I could charge a lot more for it. I don’t think the first helmet would qualify as my original design, though.

If your business relies on the files of others, be it articulated dragons from Cinderwing or book nooks from CraftyKid3D, you likely already sell them in other storefronts like Facebook Marketplace or Amazon’s handmade site, as well as at physical locations. If you don’t, it may be worth diversifying where you sell. There are so many things that we don’t know about how Etsy will police its amended policy, that having other revenue avenues is a good idea.

It will be interesting to see how far this change will go. Will Cricut makers need to design their own decals instead of buying commercially available SVGs? Will laser-engraving makers need to do the same? The entire maker community uses these kinds of services, and it has empowered a huge business sector that turned hobbies into a legitimate way to make an income. According to Contimod, 34% of all sellers on Etsy cite it as their only source of income so the potential loss is considerable. Etsy isn’t the only storefront out there, but it is one of the largest, and its decisions here could have a lasting impact across this sector.

Here’s the entire soundtrack for Europa Universalis 5 even though the grand strategy game doesn’t have a release date yet

Europa Universalis V – Original Soundtrack – YouTube

Watch On

You can now listen to the entire soundtrack for grand strategy game Europa Universalis 5, as it’s been posted to YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Music. Composed by Håkan Glänte, the music spans a lot of history and a lot of Europe in an impressive 26 tracks lasting nearly two hours.

As you might imagine, it’s a suitably grand soundtrack for a game that will encompass nearly 500 years of human history, from the medieval world through the early modern period. It focuses on a lot of orchestral pieces, with recognizable inspirations from medieval, renaissance, and baroque music.

There’s even a fitting bit of Bach in there, with an added vocal track above it—Gloria Patri On Bach’s Cello Suite No.1 in G major, BWV 1007: I.Prélude. How pleasantly iconic. (Not sarcasm—trust me, you’ll probably recognize the tune if you hear it. It’s at 38:08 in the YouTube video.)

Related articles

For hardcore fans of grand strategy games there may have been a little apprehension over the upcoming soundtrack. Andreas Waldetoft, the composer behind the brilliant soundtracks of over a decade of Paradox Development Studio releases, left his exclusive arrangement with Paradox in 2023. Waldetoft’s soundtrack for previous Paradox games were much-beloved.

However, like Håkan Glänte’s previous tracks with Paradox for Victoria 3, this one’s pretty dang good. I’ll let you give it a listen before you decide if it lives up to the legacy, fellow strategy meganerds, but for me it’s another good set with a few true standouts that’re going right on my “good game music” playlist. No, I won’t give it a better name, it has been named that since 2005 and I am now completely set in my ways.

In a hands-on preview earlier this year, PC Gamer’s Fraser Brown said that Europa Universalis 5 might well be “the ultimate grand strategy game.” I spent time with the same build of it, and I’m inclined to agree.

You can find the Europa Universalis 5 soundtrack on Apple Music, Spotify, and YouTube. Europa Universalis 5 itself, however, doesn’t yet have a release date.

Keep up to date with the most important stories and the best deals, as picked by the PC Gamer team.

Cardano (ADA) Golden Cross Flip Not Close, Here’s Reason

by admin June 21, 2025

Cardano (ADA) plunged from a peak of $0.6045 down to $0.5630 in the last 24 hours as the asset continues to battle sell pressure. The current technical setup of the asset shows its golden cross flip is far from being close.

ADA price slides as death cross persists

According to CoinMarketCap data, Cardano is currently changing hands at $0.5847, representing a 2.97% decline in the last 24 hours. However, this suggests that ADA has regained some of its losses in earlier trading sessions.

You Might Also Like

Notwithstanding, Cardano is witnessing huge selling pressure from holders looking to minimize losses as volatility persists. The asset’s MA Cross technical indicator specifically shows the death cross formation remains, as the 9-day and 21-day moving averages remain wide apart.

Cardano Price Chart | Source: TradingView/CoinMarketCap

In order for the current setup to flip into a golden cross, Cardano must register significant gains to reverse the market’s ongoing sell-off.

Notably, ADA must breach the $0.62 resistance level and stabilize above it to regain its bullish momentum. This looks likely, with trading volume in the green zone having increased by 65.51% to $754.16 million in the last 24 hours.

However, if this volume suffers a sharp decline, Cardano’s quest for a bullish rally might fade as ADA could retest the $0.56 support.

Bullish sentiment grows for Cardano despite technical setback

Despite Cardano’s current price volatility, investors in the broader crypto ecosystem remain bullish on the asset. As per a recent poll by TheBlockchainMedia, 56% of respondents were positive that ADA could post a bullish recovery.

Interestingly, XRP, one of the other assets in the poll, could only garner 20% of users’ support. This indicates that market participants are anticipating a price rebound for ADA.

This positive sentiment supported Cardano in hitting the 110 million transactions milestone recently as its adoption continues to surge.
