Kirby is set to be featured on “upside down” ketchup bottles as part of a collaboration with food company Heinz.
Amid the Nintendo Switch 2 hype, food processing company Heinz has just announced that it will be collaborating with HAL Laboratory to release special Kirby tomato ketchup bottles. Though, this isn’t the first time Kirby has been featured in a Ketchup bottle thanks to a collab with Heinz.
Back in November 2024, Heinz’s partnered up with Kirby and launched a pouch-like design for the ketchup, with the company mentioning that Maxim Tomatoes, an item that can fully restore health in the game’s franchise, was the inspiration behind it.

Fast-forward to June 2025. Now, they’re back with another rerun but with a twist. This time around, the new promotion features the adorable pink mascot on “upside-down” bottles.
Heinz to launch upside-down Kirby tomato ketchup bottles in Japan
The new tomato ketchup bottles will hit the shelves in Japan sometime in June 2025, and they’ll only be available in limited quantities. Compared to the first run, this new collab has three designs displayed on the bottles, including one additional character.

There’s one design where Kirby sits happily while holding a burger, and another one where he’s surrounded by tomatoes, fitting to the product.

Another one even includes Waddle-Dee in the illustration, showing the red-orange creature holding a tomato beside Kirby.
Heinz’s official Twitter account will also be giving away 1,000 of these keychains! Like the last Kirby giveaway item they had, the keychain will be available to only residents of Japan. pic.twitter.com/bYnhO5EW8A

Aside from these bottles, the company has also revealed that there’s one additional item that fans can get their hands on: an embroidered keystone-shaped Kirby keychain with a Heinz logo.
However, the only way to get this is to take part in a special quiz, and only if you are lucky, as only 1,000 winners will be chosen at the end. The quiz itself will be held on social media, so fans will just have to keep an eye out if they’d like to join and try their luck.
