If Elden Ring Nightreign wasn't punishing enough for you, FromSoft is adding a high-difficulty mode
Game Updates

Elden Ring Nightreign’s next update will make sure your Depth level actually goes up when you win, let you drop it down when it gets too hard

by admin September 22, 2025

The ultra-chalenging Deep of Night mode has only been available in Elden Ring Nightreign for about ten days, but players have already identified a couple of areas where it could improve, and unfortunately ran into a nasty bug that could rob you of your victory.

Deep of Night is a mode designed for longtime players, offering multiple tiers of higher difficulties that you can climb through. It also changes some of the game’s rules to make it more exciting and challenging for veteran players.

The biggest issue that Nightreign players have been having with Deep of Night is one that touches the core of it. After earning a win at a certain Depth level, the game lets you go a rank higher. Unfortunately, some players have been stuck, without being able to increase their rank.

FromSoftware confirmed that, while it works on a permanent fix, a temporary solution will arrive in the game in an update soon. Though we don’t have a date for that update, the developer also revealed that it’s also taking this opportunity to add a couple of welcome quality of life features to the mode.

First, players will soon be able to decrease their Depth rank by one level. Those who aren’t interested in going lower, however, will be happy to know that the developer is adding rank demotion protection, too.

Upon reaching Depth levels 3, 4, and 5, you’ll be protected against losing a level after your next defeat. This protects you from a single defeat at level 3, and two defeats at levels 4 and 5. The even better news is that the protection is refreshed when you reach the same Depth level again after a demotion.

Watch on YouTube

FromSoftware is also making it so players at level 1 Depth who join matches at level 2 and above won’t lose points upon defeat, which makes sense given that they’ve been matched into a game with a higher difficulty than they can handle.

Finally, if you’re playing on Steam on PC, you’ll soon be able to continue your session if Steam itself disconnects. This only applies to Steam’s servers, of course, and assumes Nightreign’s own servers are live when that happens.

Whether you just picked a copy of Nightreign and you’re nowhere near ready for Depth of Night, or you’re a seasoned veteran who’s finally done with all the Nightlord bosses, our Elden Ring Nightreign guide offers a wealth of information you absolutely need.

FromSoftware is showing a sliver of mercy with a new QoL patch for Nightreign’s super hard Deep of Night, but it hasn’t gotten any easier

by admin September 20, 2025

If you’ve been playing Elden Ring Nightreign’s intense new Deep of Night mode, you may have noticed your Depth level ranking sometimes doesn’t increase as it should after a victory. That glitch and some much-needed quality-of-life tweaks are getting addressed in an upcoming patch Bandai Namco announced on Friday.

Along with a fix for the Depth level increase bug, this patch will also give you an option to voluntarily decrease your Depth level and add Depth level demotion protection for level three onward. You gain points toward promotion for winning runs, and lose points when you fail, meaning it’s possible to be demoted, similar to competitive multiplayer ranks in other games.

This new protection feature effectively gives you a second chance to hang on when you would otherwise get demoted starting at Depth level three. You then get two extra chances for levels four and five each.

Related articles

Lastly, this patch will also allow Steam players to return to an ongoing session if they get disconnected due to Steam server issues. The voluntary demotion, meanwhile, lets you turn down the heat if you need more practice or want to better accommodate lower-ranked friends.

If you’ve tried the new Deep of Night mode, which launched on September 11, you know it’s designed to be brutal, even by FromSoftware’s standards. These adjustments won’t make it easier (that would sort of defeat the whole point), but they’ll offer some balancing to give players more control over their Deep of Night runs.

If you want to hang back and repeat a Depth level, you’ll be able to. If you drop the ball at a higher level, you’ll get a little extra leeway to take another stab at it before losing a rank. It’s not so much making Deep of Night’s apocalypse-level difficulty easier as it is balancing things out and generally improving the player experience.

Unfortunately, Bandai Namco hasn’t announced the release date for this update yet. So, until it’s released, watch out for that potential bug preventing players from moving up a Depth level after a victory. If you haven’t had a chance to try the Deep of Night mode yet, you’ll need to effectively beat the game (defeat the Night Aspect) to unlock it.

Nightreign Mode Is So Hard Fans Can Now Derank Themselves

by admin September 19, 2025

It’s only been a week since Elden Ring: Nightreign‘s new hard mode was added to the multiplayer roguelike, and FromSoftware is already patching in some relief after even the most stalwart fans found themselves brutally beaten down. The mode has five depths, with the goal being to eventually complete enough successful runs to reach the deepest and most difficult one. Now, however, players will have the option to arbitrarily boot themselves back up to upper levels so they can stop dying and actually have fun again.

Depth 1 is straightforward enough. While some harder enemies and new item debuffs force players to adapt to the game in new ways, most were able to make short work of it. Then came Depth 2. For my team it was like hitting a brick wall, but others successfully made it to Depth 3. Past that, the game basically becomes a no-hit run mode in disguise. Within a few days some fans were already begging for an option to play on the lower difficulties again just for fun. With a shockingly quick turnaround, FromSoftware has now obliged.

An update that went live today adds “a new feature to voluntarily decrease your Depth ranking by one level.” It also gives loss protection to players at lower Depths, so that your first loss on Depth 3, 4, or 5 won’t immediately lose you points and kick you back to the previous one. This protection even applies if you’re returning to Depth 3 or 4 for the dozenth time. This is mostly for players at the final Depths who lose more points from a loss than they earn for each win.

“Lets go voluntary derank,” one player wrote on the subreddit. “This is based,” wrote another. “But we really just need more bosses.”

The new system allows more casual players the option to enjoy the mechanics in the new mode without having to run something they just keep dying in. At the same time, some players are wondering why FromSoftware doesn’t just nuke the whole ranking up system altogether and just let players choose which Depth they want to play on from the jump. Some fans were also hoping for a true “endless” mode, which was rumored based on original datamines for the Deep of Night update but which appear to have been based on a mistranslation.

Deep of Night is cool overall, but the progression system has been a bit of a bust. It’s also not a replacement for new bosses, maps, or random events during runs. The new difficulty mode will need more tweaks if it’s going to keep Elden Ring: Nightreign in the multiplayer rotation for a lot of current players, especially with so many other big games coming out this fall. But in the meantime, at least everyone can go back and farm the broken Deep Relics they need from easier Depths.

MindsEye’s lead actor talks being the face of a game that flops hard

by admin September 16, 2025

From an outside perspective, I think it was probably fairly obvious that MindsEye was never going to do very well. There was barely any game to show off, so they mostly didn’t. What they did show didn’t look very good either, and when it came out, it was a glitchy mess. This all put 300 staff members at risk of being laid off, the full extent of which still being not particularly clear. And in a recent interview, the game’s lead actor Alex Hernandez has shared his own experience of being the face of the game (spoiler alert: it’s not great).

Speaking on the FRVR Podcast, Hernandez spoke of what it was like having his face attached to such a mess of a game, quite plainly saying, “It’s hard. I’m not gonna lie about that. It’s a difficult thing to spend two-and-a-half years on a project that you’re really proud of and you’re proud of your contribution to it… for the 300 or so employees at Build A Rocket Boy, you’re like ‘I hope this goes really well.’ I want them all to get raises and have a giant party and have this be the job that launches their career.”

Perhaps the more upsetting thing to hear Hernandez say was how his name will “now be associated with something that many people have regarded as pretty f*****g bad. And as an artist, as a man, as a gamer, that hurts, it’s wildly painful.” This is an aspect of an increased use of motion and facial capture we’re not really thinking of.

My best guess is that actors’ real faces are being used more and more to help get better and more believable in-game performances (those who know better feel free to sound off in the comments). The trade-off here is that you are then thrusting some of these actors into the spotlight, one which features a community that, as many of us know, isn’t always the kindest, and I am putting that as politely as possible.

Personally, I always prefer a tightly designed character over motion capture anyway – even if I did enjoy getting a first-person perspective of Mads Mikkelsen in Death Stranding – but perhaps there’s yet another lesson to be learned here in the need for safeguards to be put in place for the people that are being put at the front of high profile games.

Writing a Good AI Image Prompt Isn’t Hard, but You Need These Essential Elements

by admin September 16, 2025

One of the first things I learned while testing AI image generators is that there are a lot of things that can go wrong when you’re trying to get the image you see in your head to appear on your screen. If you’ve ever used an AI image or video generator, you know what I mean.

I’ve spent the past year testing and reviewing different AI image generators, and I’ve generated hundreds of images across services like Google’s nano bananas model, Midjourney and Dall-E. But the images I created haven’t all been winners. A bunch of them have been downright horrifying. But all my testing forced me to learn that the best way to avoid creating a wonky AI image is using a good prompt.

Prompt engineering, as experts call it, is knowing what words to use to get AI products to do what you want. For AI images, that means creating a holistic description of what you want, beyond just the characters and setting. No matter what service you use, there are essential elements you need in every prompt for the best results. This is especially important if the generator you’re using doesn’t have a lot of editing tools, like the ability to upload reference images or fix weird hallucinations.

10 Photos That Show What AI Image Generators Struggle With Most

See all photos

Writing a good AI image prompt isn’t hard, but it may take a little more work than you expect. These are my best expert tips for crafting the right prompt, including some helpful phrases to use and common mistakes to avoid.

Start with these three elements

When you first write your prompt, you might feel overwhelmed or like you’re not sure where to start. I’ve been there, and the best place to begin is with the essentials. These are the three necessary elements every prompt needs. Once you have something for each of these, you can build it out from there.

  • Characters and elements in the scene
  • Setting or where it takes place
  • Dimensions, like portrait, landscape or a specific ratio (3:2, 16:9, etc)

You might be tempted to add some exclusionary characteristics in your prompt, or things that you do not want in your image. I would caution against it. Even the most prompt-adherent generator is likely to ignore these, or worse, misread the prompt and include something you specifically asked it not to. If you want to eliminate an element from one image, it’s usually easier to do that in the editing stage rather than in the original prompt.

Specify the style and color palette you want

Beyond the “who, what and where” in your basic prompt, you’ll want to guide the generator toward a specific style. Here are some of the most popular styles of AI images.

  • Photorealistic: As close to real life as possible. AI image generators aren’t great at this, but it’s worth trying.
  • Stock photography: Like real photos, but shinier and brighter.
  • Product features: Emphasizes individual elements over the background or scene.
  • Cartoon: Fun, bright and usually less detailed.
  • Illustration: Similar to paintings, pencil sketches.
  • Gaming/Game UI: More advanced than cartoon, sometimes anime-like.

Include specific colors you want, too. If you’re not picky about the exact shades you want, you can still lead the generator down the right road by specifying if you want warm or cool tones.

This Canva image keeps the magic alive with a cartoonish warm-toned image.

Katelyn Chedraoui/Canva Magic Media AI

You’ll want different styles for different projects. Photorealistic AI images are likely to be better suited for professional environments than cartoon-style images, but they might not be right for a creative mock-up. Illustrations might be best for more detail-oriented, creative projects, like building out brainstorming ideas, and gaming is good for first iterations of new characters and worlds.

Describe the aesthetic, vibe and emotion

Take your prompt a step further and include a description of the overall aesthetic or vibe. This can help elevate your images and reach that extra layer of detail. These details are a jumping-off point to get you in the ballpark of what you want without overwhelming the generator with a novel-length prompt. Here are some common options to include in your prompt.

  • Abstract
  • Anime
  • Medieval
  • Retro
  • Psychedelic
  • Glow, neon
  • Geometric
  • Painting, brushstroke, oil painting
  • Comic
  • Noir
  • Vintage
  • Impressionist
  • Simple, minimalistic
  • Fantasy, sci-fi
  • High tech
  • Surrealist

If none of these aesthetics feel right, try picking the closest one and building from there. Include textures, the time period and landmarks. If you care less about the specific style but want to ensure a specific emotional response, try describing that. Often describing the emotional temperature of a scene can jump-start the generator toward a specific kind of visual look. For example, happy scenes tend to have bright colors and a warm feel, no matter if they’re photorealistic or illustrations. Stressful scenes might have more detail, cool tones and a foreboding feeling that the generator might show you fits better with a fantasy or nonrealistic aesthetic.

Leonardo might not understand “cottage core coastal grandma,” but it does understand the rustic feel with blues and warm light.

Katelyn Chedraoui/Leonardo AI

You can try using more specific or pop culture aesthetics, but there’s no guarantee the generator will understand and adhere to them. For example, you might want to consider translating “cottage core coastal grandmother” to “vintage style with a light, breezy, feel using pastel blues and neutral tones.” It gets at the same idea with more specific instructions.

My AI images still aren’t right. What now?

Even with a well-written prompt, AI image generators aren’t perfect and you’ll get some duds. The tech behind the text-to-image generators is advancing, but it’s still very much in progress.

Tweaking your prompt is the fastest way to troubleshoot big problems. But if issues persist, try narrowing down what exactly is wrong with the images and tracing the problem back to where it may be coming from. For example, if your images aren’t professional-looking enough to present, it could be because the style or aesthetic included in your prompt isn’t right. Even making smaller changes to your presets, like the image dimensions, can make a big difference in the end results.

Midjourney took the “stressful” emotion too far in this image and lost the photorealistic style I wanted.

Katelyn Chedraoui/Midjourney AI

Many AI image services offer post-generation editing tools that can help you fix smaller errors. Services more geared toward professional creators like Adobe Firefly have extensive tools. More beginner-friendly programs run the gambit, with Leonardo having the most, then Midjourney with an average amount, with Canva having barely any.

Still, it can be frustrating not to get what you want after lots of work. Even more frustrating is that sometimes the best thing to do is start over. Resetting your settings to default, rethinking your prompts and beginning anew can feel like going backward. But when nothing else works, it can be a good last resort.

At the end of the day, AI image generators are not replacements for creators. They’re like other image editing software: You need to spend time getting to know your program, understanding how it works and its editing capabilities. Once you have a handle on your program, you’ll have a good understanding of what kind of prompts deliver the best results. These tips will help get you close to what you want in the meantime.

Gemini IPO demand forces $425m hard cap after 20x oversubscription

by admin September 12, 2025

Gemini’s Nasdaq debut drew so many orders that the exchange reportedly capped proceeds at $425 million. The move breaks with IPO convention and shows both intense demand for crypto listings and a rare note of restraint from the Winklevoss-led firm.

Summary

  • Gemini’s Nasdaq IPO was oversubscribed more than 20 times, forcing a $425 million hard cap.
  • Lead underwriters Goldman Sachs and Citigroup closed the order book early amid overwhelming demand.
  • Share price was raised to $24–$26, giving the company a potential market value over $3 billion.

On September 11, Reuters reported that the forthcoming initial public offering for crypto exchange Gemini was oversubscribed by more than 20 times, compelling lead underwriters Goldman Sachs and Citigroup to close the order book early.

In a highly unconventional move for a traditional listing, the investment banks, alongside Gemini founders Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, made the strategic decision to impose a hard cap of $425 million on the total raise.

The mechanism, which sacrifices potential capital in favor of reducing the number of shares sold, creates scarcity ahead of the company’s Nasdaq debut on Friday under the ticker “GEMI.”

A calculus of scarcity and value?

According to the Reuters report, based on the company’s own filings with the SEC, the raw math of the demand would have allowed Gemini to raise approximately $433 million without the self-imposed cap. This figure, however, pertains solely to the public share sale and does not include an additional, separate $50 million private placement commitment from Nasdaq itself.

The investor frenzy drove a significant uptick in share value well before the opening bell. In response to the overwhelming order flow, Gemini and its bankers were forced to upwardly revise the proposed share price range. The price jumped to between $24 and $26, a substantial increase from the initial range of $17 to $19 just days prior.

That sharp adjustment in pricing illustrates the depth of investor appetite, with Gemini’s valuation climbing rapidly even before its first day of trading. According to Reuters, the company’s potential market valuation could exceed $3 billion at the top of the range.

Once seen as risky outliers, firms like Gemini are now joining a growing list of digital asset players testing public listings. Just a day prior, stablecoin issuer Figure Technology successfully raised $787.5 million in an upsized IPO.

This activity follows enlarged offerings earlier this year from industry heavyweights like Bullish and Circle, painting a picture of a sector hitting its stride. A favorable regulatory shift, accelerating corporate adoption, and the monumental inflows into spot Bitcoin ETFs have collectively built a wave of legitimacy that crypto companies are now riding into the public markets.

Silksong Fans Furiously Debate If It’s Too Hard As Some Early Players Quit

by admin September 9, 2025

Fans have been waiting almost a decade to go hands-on with Hollow Knight: Silksong and the hype was off the charts. Now that people are finally playing, those expectations have been brought back down to earth. Silksong is a good game. Maybe even a great one. But it is also a hard one. Harder than the first game? That depends on who you ask. While players rave about their favorite new characters, secrets, and boss fights, other are bouncing off the game, feeling unwelcomed by the new Metroidvania Soulslike.

One of the biggest differences between Silksong and the original Hollow Knight is that enemies hit harder earlier in the game. Instead of taking one mask of damage off Hornet, even some rank-and-file minions can knock two off with each hit. Add to that the fact that Hornet can’t heal until a full wheel of silk has been earned and you have a recipe for an uncompromising early game. Maps and UI elements must also be purchased as upgrades, leaving newcomers who tend to easily get lost in 2D mazes scrambling more than usual to figure out where to go and what to do.

“My wife is a massive Hollow Knight fan and has been waiting for Silksong to come out for years,” reads one of the biggest threads on the Silksong subreddit from this weekend. “She is not the most skilled of players but she was able to complete Hollow Knight and enjoy her time. Silksong, instead, is breaking her apart. She has spent three days fighting Moorwing without beating it and she’s dropping the game for good. I hope she’ll pick it back up sometime but it’s sad to see all the anticipation die out like this.”

Team Cherry

Moorwing has been brutalizing many players in the Greymoor section of the game. The flying moth has lots of attacks that are tricky to dodge, and it requires a shocking number of hits to finally bring down. There are ways to accidentally skip the fight altogether or cheese him into submission, but if you’re just grinding Silksong out without searching for guides or trying to exploit tricks, it’s a pain in the ass, one of those fights for true Soulslike sickos and not necessarily for the people who come to Hollow Knight for the worldbuilding, exploration, and wonderful characters.

Is Silksong really harder than Hollow Knight?

There’s a good comment on the Silksong Steam discussion page that breaks down some of what might be going on with the initial reaction to the sequel. “People are complaining because this game doesn’t give them nail upgrades and an early charm system with charms that trivialize a lot of boss mechanics for 3/4th of the entire game, and instead attempts to get its players to recognize tells, queues, patterns, positioning, and programmed it’s enemies to specifically punish overly aggressive or greedy play,” it reads.

Instead of treating Hollow Knight like a tutorial for Silksong, this argument claims some players are treating the new game like a continuation of the old one instead of recognizing the clear yet subtle differences, including a diagonal downward attack that complicates combat and platforming, especially for people used to the first game’s more straightforward up/down pogo-ing on top of enemies. Though there are Crests players can find in Silksong even early on to help make the game easier, it seems clear Team Cherry also made a point of not greasing the wheels with combat as much as it did with Hollow Knight.

Hunter’s March is insane bro.

Crazy difficult platforming and the enemies are hard too 💀

These stupid bugs took FOREVER to beat. #Silksong pic.twitter.com/2EAEAnq5Vq

— KAMI (@Okami13_) September 6, 2025

Enemies deal more damage, take longer to kill, and some of the longer run-backs after you die to a boss can be lowkey soul crushing. Here’s a 30-second clip of a player going back to the Act 1 boss after dying, a trek which includes more than one non-trivial platforming section. Whether players ultimately enjoy it or not, the double damage many enemies do compared to Hollow Knight is already the biggest meme coming out of Silksong‘s launch. “The reason it took so long to come out: Team cherry was trying to beat the game before they released it,” one fan joked.

Silksong is too hard vs. Silksong is bad

The post-launch conversation around the Hollow Knight sequel has generally followed this arc, forking along to parallel tracks over the weekend. First: “Yay, it’s out!” Second: “Check out cool thing X.” Third: “Boss fight Y was incredible” or “Help, I can’t stop dying.” And finally: “This game is too hard and it’s the best” or “This game is too hard and it sucks.” We’re at the point where an initial backlash to how much more punishing Silksong is has been followed by a backlash to the backlash. Much of it essentially boils down to: okay, maybe Silksong is much harder but that doesn’t make it worse than Hollow Knight.

My guess is that there are two things going on here. The first is that Silksong is reaching a much wider audience at launch than Hollow Knight ever did, and I would guess many of those players are coming to it from non-Souls-inspired backgrounds. They are here for the neat story, excellent art, and top-notch Metroidvania exploration, not necessarily the “git gud” grind that comes with hitting what seems like an insurmountable challenge you that you persevere through, knowing eventually, whether hours later or days later, you will overcome it.

Team Cherry

The second is that so much is riding on Silksong, following years of hype and secrecy, that everyone is extra touchy about the possibility it could be worse than Hollow Knight. We’ve all been there. You go to see a movie you were really excited for. It washes over you in haze. There were parts you loved. You talk about them outside the theater with friends. Than days go by, weeks, years even, and you eventually admit it wasn’t as good as you hoped. Disappointment sucks! Do I think most people are actually disappointed with Silksong? Not at all. But I think any naysaying this early on in the “honeymoon period” of a new indie darling’s release can feel like an attack.

TL;DR: the internet is currently designed to make negativity go viral, which elicits defensive hyperbole in response.

What’s clear is that there’s a not-insignificant number of people already feeling burnt out on Silksong or bouncing off of it entirely because of its less forgiving design. “I beat Hollow Knight twice through (Radiance), I love the game and its world and its vibes and everything you mentioned, and I’m currently falling out of love with a sequel I desperately WANT to enjoy, due to a difficulty curve that feels completely out of sync with Hollow Knight’s,” wrote one player on the subreddit. “I’m handling the difficulty fine, but it’s just exhausting,” wrote another. “I think Silksong is beautiful and a masterpiece, but the two mask damage is tiring. Most people WILL have a skill issue, even if they’re managing, so rather than the game be fully enjoyable like Hollow Knight, it will create exhaustion which is not fun.”

Silksong doesn’t have difficulty options or any other way to mitigate its challenge outside of in-game remedies like finding certain upgrades and Crests as early as possible. We’ll see if that ultimately holds it back from the same level of fawning adoration that its predecessor achieved, or if Team Cherry decides to address the skill gap in a post-launch update. Purists will be able to say they were there on day-one with their double-damage victories intact to prove it, but at least that way everyone else can discover the rest of the special game Team Cherry spent seven years making.

Will an Ethereum Run Make It Hard for ETH Treasuries to Raise Cash?

by admin September 6, 2025

In brief

  • Digital asset treasury companies face shrinking market-to-net asset value (mNAV) ratios.
  • BitMine and SharpLink Gaming have seen their mNAV fall below 1.0, to 0.99 and 0.89 respectively.
  • The mNAV erosion threatens DATs’ ability to raise capital through at-the-market equity programs, forcing painful share dilution and stalling capital raises, analysts said.

As Ethereum claws its way upward this week, a looming challenge threatens digital asset treasury (DAT) companies as their mNAVs have come close to 1 or slipped below it, with experts signaling potential trouble for future capital inflows.

mNAV, or market-to-net asset value, compares a company’s stock value to that of its assets. And for digital asset treasury companies, the value of their crypto treasuries can experience dramatic fluctuations.

Data from Strategic ETH Reserve shows a steep drop in mNAV for key players. BitMine and SharpLink Gaming have seen their mNAV fall below 1, to 0.99 and 0.89, respectively. BitDigital and GameSquare Holdings Inc have seen there’s slip, but hold above 1 so far. BTBT is at 1.51 and GAME has fallen to 1.13.

The downtick in mNAV tracks the broader crypto market’s dip, with Bitcoin falling from its mid-August peak, when it set a new all-time high of $124,545.6, to $112,154, per CoinGecko.

For DATs holding hefty Ethereum reserves—BitMine has $8.3 billion and Sharplink holds $3.7 billion worth of ETH—this erosion of premium could choke off their ability to raise cash without punishing existing investors.

“I think that’s why we’ve seen capital raises stall after a busy stretch earlier this year: Investors just don’t want to pay the premiums for the same ETH exposure,” Arthur Azizov, founder and investor at B2 Ventures, told Decrypt.

For DATs, mNAV is the lifeblood of capital raises, particularly through at-the-market (ATM) equity programs, where a premium over net asset value allows companies to issue stock without harming investors.

But as mNAVs shrink, “companies must issue far more shares to raise the same capital, leading to painful dilution,” CryptoQuant analyst Maarten Regterschot told Decrypt.

While Ethereum’s price volatility erodes mNAV cushions, relentless ATM share sales flood the market, driving down valuations, Azizov highlighted. Adding pressure, spot Ethereum ETFs offer investors direct exposure without the premium DATs once commanded, he said.

“Investors aren’t willing to pay extra for the same Ethereum,” Azizov explained, noting why capital raises have ground to a halt lately.

According to Regterschot, a stagnant ETH/BTC price is another source that has pressured mNAVs’ recent plunge, creating a feedback loop where fading premiums and rising share supply choke demand.

The outlook for Q4 is make-or-break, both experts highlighted.

A bullish Ethereum run could revive mNAVs, allowing DATs to issue stock on favorable terms and bolster ETH holdings, thereby restarting growth. But if ETH stalls or the crypto market turns bearish due to macroeconomic concerns, mNAVs could dip below 1, effectively putting a stop on new issuance.

“A strong quarter is critical,” Azizov said. Without it, DATs may be forced to lean on staking yields, with netflows stalling as they navigate a constrained funding landscape.

Helldivers 2 Patch Notes Resolve More Hard Crashes, Buff New Dust Devil Items

by admin September 4, 2025

As a game that’s constantly evolving, Helldivers 2 is no stranger to hotfixes and patches. In fact, a new update has just gone live, and it is designed to quickly address several issues that have cropped up in the game since the start of the Into the Unjust event in the game. This new patch focuses primarily on game-breaking issues causing hard crashes, as well as buffs to the new gear introduced in the Dust Devils warbond.

For general fixes, players can expect several problems to be addressed. Developer Arrowhead says that the crashes related to there being too many particle effects, Automaton missions, and a bug with a seeking missile have been resolved with this patch. Other tweaks include the extraction shuttle landing more safely for players, hive world tunnels should no longer be darker than intended if you’re using lower graphics settings, and the excessive light emitted by the Hellpad has also been toned down.

Now Playing: Helldivers 2 – Dust Devils Warbond Gameplay Trailer

When it comes to weapons and stratagems, there have also been a few issues here. The LIFT-182 Warp Pack tended to make players get stuck midair, and there were also instances of the game crashing when a player aborted a mission while wielding a turret or driving a vehicle. These should all be fixed here, and it should also be safe to equip the Halo ODST MA5C assault rifle when you’re on the bridge of your flagship.

For the buffs, Arrowhead is reducing the cooldown on the MS-11 Solo Silo and giving the S-11 Speargun a quicker reload. The silo stratagem cooldown will now drop from 210 seconds to 180 seconds, while the Speargun reload time has been cut by an entire second to just 2.5 seconds. A larger patch released earlier this week also killed several bugs, allowing players more freedom so that they could also go on a bug hunt. If you’re one of them, just be prepared to pack a few nukes in case you run into a Hive Lord.

Helldivers 2 is also available for Xbox Series X|S now, and so far, that has seen plenty of fresh recruits join the fight to bring managed democracy to distant planets.

Amazon Hits Seagate Hard, This Hard Drive Now Costs Just $0.02 Per GB

by admin September 3, 2025

Backing up your files is something everyone should think about, especially if you don’t want to risk losing important stuff on your computer. Not everyone can or wants to pay for fast SSD drives, and that’s where classic external hard drives still shine.

Right now, Amazon is offering a fantastic discount on the Seagate Portable 4TB external hard drive – it’s dropped to just $99 from $125. That’s about two cents a gigabyte which is just utterly fantastic if you need a lot of space without spending a fortune.

Speedy Transfers

This drive’s got USB 3.0 which means it’s speedy enough to transfer big files without leaving you waiting forever. And it’s very low-maintenance as well, reads perfectly fine from PCs, Macs and even PlayStation and Xbox. And it doesn’t need a separate power supply since it gets its juice directly from the USB port.

Size-wise, the Seagate portable HDD is thin and light so it won’t be holding you back if you’re accidentally tossing it in your bag. It’s for everyday wear and tear use, so don’t fret about a little bump or two.

And with 4TB of storage, you’ve got plenty of room: We’re talking thousands of photos, stacks of high-definition videos, and hundreds of music files – all in a secure, easy-to-reach location. It’s a good alternative or supplement to cloud storage services, if you want your things close at hand or can’t always trust the internet for backups.

The additional sweet touch is the free one-year Rescue Data Recovery Service: That’s right, if anything does happen (like accidentally deleting files or a hardware failure), you’ve got experts standing by to assist in getting your data back.

Yes, SSDs are faster because they don’t have moving parts but they’re sometimes ridiculously pricey, especially if you require more than a few hundred gigs. That’s where hard drives like this Seagate shine through – they offer tons of space for far less money. If you’re looking for a high-capacity device that won’t break the bank, this deal is definitely worth considering.
