Baldur’s Gate IP overlords Wizards of the Coast reveal a new Dungeons & Dragons single-player action adventure

by admin June 3, 2025

With Baldur’s Gate 3 developer Larian now off doing their own thing and making multiple games that aren’t Baldur’s Gate 4, BG IP owners Wizards of the Coast have just revealed something that might help fill that void. They’ve agreed to a publishing deal that’ll see relatively new studio Giant Skull create a new game set in the D&D universe.

Giant Skull were founded by Stig Asmussen, director of stuff like Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and God of War 3, back in March 2024, and said way back then that it’d be aiming to make “gameplay-driven, story-immersed action-adventure games”.

Well, they get points for sticking to that goal thus far. This WotC-published game they’re working on (thanks, Gematsu) is an “all-new, single-player action adventure title set in the world of Dungeons & Dragons” that’ll be coming to console and PC at some point between now and the end of time.

“Our talented and experienced team at Giant Skull is built on creativity and curiosity,” Asmussen said in a press release, “Our goal is to craft a rich new Dungeons & Dragons universe filled with immersive storytelling, heroic combat and exhilarating traversal that players will fully embrace.”

“In our time working together on God of War I got to see firsthand Stig’s artistry and expertise, and he and the Giant Skull team are the perfect fit for our new game,” added Wizards of the Coast and Hasbro digital gaming president John Hight, “Worldbuilding and storytelling is in our DNA, and this collaboration reflects our evolution and commitment to our Playing to Win Strategy, building a stronger presence in digital play. We look forward to revealing more about this brand-new Dungeons & Dragons game in the future.”

So, concrete details about the game and what it’ll end up looking like are pretty scarce right now – as you’d expect for a thing that’s only just tied the publishing knot. There’s no indication of how it may or may not be tied to the BG games we’ve already gotten, or whether any of the characters BG3 famously inspired War and Peace-length fanfictions about will star in it.

Given the fact it hasn’t been declared an RPG, it could well turn out to have very little in common with BG3, aside from the obvious D&D connection. We’ll just have to wait, ponder our orbs like those coastal wizards, and see.

D&D summons Baldur’s Gate 3 energy with new psion test class

by admin May 31, 2025

Dungeons & Dragons makers Wizards of the Coast has put a strong focus psychic powers since 2023’s Baldur’s Gate 3 pitted adventurers of the Forgotten Realms against a mind-flayer invasion. WotC embraced the game’s success in its 2024 ruleset with an emphasis on psionics, with aberrant sorcerers, psychic warriors and soulknives all appearing in the Player’s Handbook. And Thursday’s Unearthed Arcana continued that trend, putting out rules for the psion class for the first time since 4th edition.

The psion dates back to earliest days of and D&D, mentioned in the first edition Player’s Handbook and fully developed with the 1991 release of The Complete Psionics Handbook. While a version of a psion called a mystic was tested for 5e in a 2017 Unearthed Arcana, it was never officially published. The amount of psion-focused art shared in a 9-minute video with the designers makes it feel more likely that this class is a keeper, possibly debuting in Forgotten Realms Players Guide releasing later this year.

The psion is a devoted spellcaster, like a wizard, but doesn’t speak arcane words or use special material components. Their spells are enhanced by a well of internal energy that manifests as bonus dice in the same way as the soulknife and psychic warrior subclasses. At first level, a psion can expend the dice to telekinetically propel creatures around the battlefield or extend their natural telepathy. The number and size of their dice expand as they level up along with the ways a psion can use them to attack or defend themselves.

The playtest offers options for four subclasses. The telepath is the most classic psion, a defensively strong class focused on psychically linking their party to bolster them. They can also subtly infiltrate thoughts to gather information. Psykinetics are good at utilizing forcefields and blasting people with telekinetic energies while psi warpers manipulate the battlefield by repositioning themselves and their allies. The metamorph is the most twisted option, letting the psion turn their body into a weapon by growing bone blades, extending their limbs, and flinging bolts of bile.

Players who just want a taste of psionics without fully committing to a dedicated class or subclass can try one of the 10 new wild talent feats. The empath gains emotional sense they can use to influence others along with the ability to psionically cast charm person and calm emotions, while a pyrokineticist can change the damage of their attacks and spells to fire and cast some fire spells. The playtest also introduces a few new spells, including the chance to summon a psionic entity.

Players can download the psion rules for free on the D&D Beyond website and offer feedback through June 3.

WizKids offers full refund on Baldur’s Gate 3 minis

WizKids offers full refund on Baldur’s Gate 3 minis

by admin May 20, 2025

WizKids is offering refunds for its Baldur’s Gate 3 miniature set after fans criticized the quality of the pre-painted figurines. The $50 D&D Icons of the Realms: Baldur’s Gate 3 set, which includes the six origin characters as well as Withers, drew backlash over its paint jobs, which lack detail and precision according to photos posted by customers.

WizKids acknowledged the situation in a statement, saying it “seeks to create products that enhance and add to the enjoyment of game play,” but that “unfortunately, we missed the mark on this goal.” To remedy the situation, customers who bought the set directly from WizKids can request a refund through the company’s customer service email. Those who purchased the set from a local retailer can seek a refund at that point of sale. There is also a product replacement option available through WizKids’ website for anyone who wishes to roll the dice again with WizKids.

Images of the melty-faced miniatures have been circulating online recently since they were sent out. A senior cinematic artist for Larian Studios who worked on Baldur’s Gate 3 took to X to share the disappointing distortion from expectations to reality. For some, the melty pre-painted faces were not the biggest cause for concern, because the miniature set they received didn’t even have a head for Shadowheart!

The set’s quality issues are surely disappointing for Baldur’s Gate 3 fans who were hoping for collectible-quality figures of the game’s beloved cast. Although seven pre-painted figures for $50 is not that expensive in the hobby, even those with modest expectations have been surprised by how poorly they turned out. For others, though, these flawed minis might end up as collectibles in their own right. Misprints and errors have occasionally gained value over time in other collectible hobbies, and with refunds and replacements already underway, the original run of these figures could ironically become a desired oddity for collectors.

Best Crypto to Buy as JPMorgan Opens Bitcoin Gate to Clients: $BTC to Rally Soon?

by admin May 20, 2025

Trusted Editorial content, reviewed by leading industry experts and seasoned editors. Ad Disclosure

Bitcoin just got a surprising nod – from Jamie Dimon of all people.

That’s right, the CEO of JPMorgan, one of Bitcoin’s loudest critics over the years, now says his bank will allow clients to buy the cryptocurrency.

While JPM won’t hold the coins itself, it’s still a huge symbolic shift. If the biggest Bitcoin hater on Wall Street is giving in, maybe the floodgates really are about to open.

Add to that Fidelity’s recent claim that Bitcoin is ready to carry gold’s ‘baton,’ and things start looking like a crypto fairytale.

Bitcoin is back above six figures, ETFs are climbing again, and whales are quietly waking up. Derivatives open interest has nearly doubled since March, and while things may stay choppy for a while, all signs point to something big on the horizon.

Let’s break down why JPMorgan’s shift matters – and why the best crypto to buy might rally as Bitcoin begins its next run.

Even Jamie Dimon Can’t Ignore Bitcoin Anymore

JPMorgan has been one of the latest big banks to cave. Morgan Stanley and others were already letting wealthy clients dip their toes into digital assets. JPMorgan simply couldn’t afford to sit this out any longer.

So while Dimon still talks trash about crypto, his bank now offers clients access to Bitcoin. The move is symbolic more than anything. If even JPMorgan’s fortress is cracking, the institutional dam might truly be breaking.

Combine that with Fidelity and JPMorgan saying Bitcoin could replace gold, and it’s clear that traditional finance is starting to respect the asset.

Add bullish technical indicators, ETF momentum, and whales increasing activity, and you’ve got a recipe for a rally.

So, what are the best new crypto projects to watch while the market heats up?

1. BTC Bull Token ($BTCBULL) – The Meme Coin That Mirrors the King

BTC Bull Token ($BTCBULL) is what happens when meme coin culture meets real Bitcoin strategy.

Built to track and amplify Bitcoin’s gains, $BTCBULL offers a way for retail investors to ride the Bitcoin wave – with far more upside and fewer entry barriers.

At just $0.00252, and with over $6M already raised in presale, the token is gaining serious traction as the bull market heats up.

But $BTCBULL isn’t just another hype coin. It’s the first meme token that rewards holders with real Bitcoin – not promises, not points, actual $BTC.

Every time Bitcoin crosses a major milestone (like $150K, or $200K), $BTCBULL burns tokens to increase scarcity and sends airdrops – but only to those who bought tokens through Best Wallet and still hold them there.

If you bought $1K worth of $BTCBULL today at the current price of $0.00252, you’d receive around 397K tokens. Stake those tokens at a 15% APY, and by the end of the year, your total would grow to roughly 456,550 tokens.

At today’s price, that would be worth about $1,150 – a nice boost just for holding. But if $BTCBULL reaches its 2025 price prediction of $0.06467, that same stash could be worth over $29.5K.

That’s nearly 30x your original investment, all from getting in early, staking smart, and riding the wave. JPMorgan finally opening the gates to Bitcoin might be the trigger that sends it all soaring.

And you can get in at the earliest stage, before the token is even listed on exchanges.

2. Best Wallet Token ($BEST) – Your All-Access Pass to Crypto’s Next Big Ecosystem

With Bitcoin reclaiming the spotlight and giants like JPMorgan finally giving in to client demand, there’s never been a better time to back the infrastructure that makes crypto usable.

Enter Best Wallet Token ($BEST) – the utility token powering one of the most innovative new wallets in crypto.

While the wallet itself is set to challenge dinosaurs like MetaMask with its sleek interface and powerful multi-chain features, $BEST is the key to unlocking its real value.

At just $0.025055, and with over $12.5M raised in presale, it’s still early – but the roadmap looks built for serious gains.

Buying and holding $BEST gives users real perks: reduced transaction fees, early access to new token launches, higher staking rewards, and bonuses through exclusive iGaming partnerships like free spins, deposit boosts, and lootbox access.

Plus, the ‘Upcoming Tokens’ tool is a game-changer, letting users discover and buy new crypto presales safely from inside the app.

Powered by Fireblocks-grade security, backed by a fast-growing user base, and tied to an ecosystem with real daily utility, $BEST isn’t just a token – it’s your all-access pass to the next wave of Web3 adoption.

If Bitcoin is the new gold, $BEST is the pickaxe.

3. SPX6900 ($SPX) – The Meme Coin That Turns Market Madness Into a Movement

In a crypto world where everyone’s trying to be the next serious protocol, SPX6900 ($SPX) flips the script – and sets it on fire for laughs.

Currently trading at $0.725, this viral meme coin is part absurdist comedy, part internet rebellion, and completely unapologetic.

Source: CoinMarketCap

Think of it as the anti-Wall Street coin with a cult-like following and a mission to satirize everything boring about finance.

But SPX6900 isn’t just memes for meme’s sake. It’s built on community-powered momentum, with a strong visual identity, rapid-fire social media presence, and a core message: take your gains seriously, not yourself.

It’s already carving out its own cultural niche, much like $DOGE and $PEPE did before it – and we all know how that turned out.

There’s no DeFi dashboard or staking farm here. The value is in the hype, and the team behind it knows how to push the right buttons. If you’re looking for logic, look elsewhere. If you’re looking for a ride, hop on.

And with Bitcoin back in six-figure territory and JPMorgan finally giving in to demand, meme coins like SPX6900 are poised to ride the wave of renewed retail interest straight to viral status.

The Market’s Heating Up – Here’s What to Watch Before the Next Big Move

With JPMorgan opening the door, Bitcoin reentering six-figure territory, and whale activity on the rise, the next big move could be closer than people think.

If you’re looking for the best crypto to buy before things really heat up, these three are worth watching.

$BTCBULL is built to mirror the bull run. $BEST is your one-stop wallet for when things explode. And $SPX? It’s here for the memes, and sometimes, that’s all it takes.

Baldur’s Gate 3’s terrible miniatures “missed the mark” so much, WizKids is offering refunds

by admin May 20, 2025

Board game company WizKids has apologised for its recent line of Baldur’s Gate 3 miniatures, acknowledging the melty faced monstrosities “missed the mark” and offering full refunds.

WizKids announced the range – officially known as Dungeons & Dragons: Icons Of The Realms: Baldur’s Gate 3 – at the end of last year, and US customers began receiving their £50/$49.99, seven-character sets earlier this month. However, rather than the crisply detailed renditions of Astarion, Karlach, Gale, Shadowheart, Wyll, Lae’zel and Withers featured in WizKids’ promotional material, customers instead received pre-painted miniatures that wouldn’t have looked out of place in a Borja church fresco – and complaints were swift.

And now, with more and more images of the squishy faced disappointments being shared online, WizKids has been forced to concede that, yes, its Baldur’s Gate 3 miniatures are in fact rubbish. “As a company, WizKids seeks to create products that enhance and add to the enjoyment of game play,” it wrote on its website. “We want our customers to build long-lasting, fond memories around game nights with friends and family using our products.”

“Unfortunately, we missed the mark on this goal with the D&D Icons of the Realms: Baldur’s Gate 3 Character Boxed Set,” it continued. “If you purchased this set through our online stores, we will be offering a full refund to those who are unsatisfied with their set… We’re aware of the recent reports and complaints and are taking them seriously. Our team is currently investigating these issues and taking action to make this right for those whose purchases were negatively affected and to ensure these issues do not recur in future products and reprints.”

WizKids notes anyone who purchased the box set from a third-party retailer should contact them directly for a refund, while those wishing for a replacement – one that “meets the standards expected” – can do so via its website.

“Please accept our sincerest apologies for the frustration and disappointment these quality issues caused our customers,” WizKids concluded. “We, too, feel the same as the final product did not meet our expectations or that of our Wizards of the Coast partner. Our teams are working to find the best solutions to resolve this for all involved and to work with you, our customers, to fix this. We appreciate your patience as we focus on getting back to those affected and helping them with their refunds in a timely manner.”

It’s hardly a fitting celebration of developer Larian’s acclaimed 2023 RPG, but with the studio’s work on the game now largely at an end following April’s massive Patch 8, Astarion, Karlach, and friends are now entirely at Dungeons & Dragons owner Hasbro’s mercy. And if that means licensing them out to be turned into unrecgonsisable bits of plastic, then so be. Hasbro has, of course, already confirmed it’s keen to find a studio to make Baldur’s Gate 4, but with Larian now working on its own mysterious projects, it’s unclear how far off that may be.
