Forget Fire TV Sticks, Amazon Is Blowing Out Roku Devices at Their Cheapest Price Ever

by admin October 5, 2025

Cutting the cord on cable TV has never been easier, but choosing the right streaming device can feel overwhelming with so many options flooding the market. Amazon launched its Fire TV Stick lineup years ago to compete directly with established players like Roku and Google’s Chromecast, and the battle for your living room has been fierce ever since.

Here’s the twist: while Amazon’s own Fire TV Sticks are hitting record low prices during Prime Big Deal Days, the retail giant is pushing Roku devices even lower to clear out remaining inventory from its biggest rival. The Roku Streaming Stick HD has dropped from $29 down to $17, the Streaming Stick 4K fell from $49 to $29, and the Streaming Stick Plus landed at $24 instead of $39.

Understanding the Differences in Roku’s Lineup of Streaming Sticks

The entry-level Roku Streaming Stick HD is the least costly model at $17, ideal if you’re working with an older TV that tops off at 1080p resolution or just don’t worry about 4K content. It streams high-definition content effortlessly on all major platforms such as Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max and thousands of other channels. Its included Roku Voice Remote allows you to search for shows by speaking instead of painstakingly entering using an on-screen keyboard, averting frustration when you’re trying to locate that one film whose name you just couldn’t quite manage to recall. It hooks up via HDMI and is powered from your TV’s USB port or from the included adapter.

Upgrading from the base model to the Roku Streaming Stick 4K for $29 unlocks significant visual gains if you own a 4K TV. This model is HDR (High Dynamic Range) and Dolby Vision capable, two technologies that achieve massive picture quality improvements beyond resolution bumps. HDR provides greater dynamic range between blacks and whites which results in more realistic pictures with higher-contrast levels. Dolby Vision does one better and adjusts brightness and colour dynamically on a scene- or even frame-by-frame basis, and it looks fantastic in supported content from services like Apple TV Plus, Netflix, and Disney Plus. Long-range Wi-Fi in the specs means that this stick should maintain stable connections even if your router is in another room or on another floor, reducing infuriating buffering that ruins key narrative points.

The Streaming Stick Plus at $24 is a tempting compromise with 4K and HDR support but no support for Dolby Vision, so it is relatively less capable in its ultimate picture quality compared to the Streaming Stick 4K, but importantly still much more capable compared to the HD-only base model. There is only real-world practical differentiation in the non-Dolby Vision versus HDR pictures largely on high-end TVs with excellent panel technology, so if your 4K TV is an economy or mid-range model from several years ago, you’re unlikely to see much differentiation in the pictures versus the Plus model and the full 4K model. The Plus model does, however, come with the Voice Remote and has the same massive library of streaming services, free live TV services in the form of the Roku Channel, and private listening in the form of the Roku smartphone app.

Each of these three models gives you access to the Roku platform which is still one of the best streaming interfaces. Installation takes just a minute or two: stick the stick in your TV’s HDMI port, connect it to your network and start viewing. compact size makes these sticks disappear completely behind your television with no apparent clutter.

With these aggressive discounts and the fact that non-Prime members have access to these deals, now is truly the perfect time to upgrade your streaming setup.

Forget Pricey Tablets From Apple and Samsung, This Galaxy Tab A9+ Plus Is Going for Nothing Before October Prime Day

by admin September 27, 2025

If you’ve been perusing for a fancy new tablet, do take note that the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ just got its price chopped down over at Amazon. Usually this Samsung tablet starts at  $220, but right now you can score the 11-inch Android for just $159. The 28% discount amounts to a savings of $61. That’s for the 64 GB model by the way. Double your storage, and you can still save as the 128 GB model dropped from $270 to just $209. That one is a 23% discount which works also out to you saving $61. Both versions are available in either black or silver.

This 2024 Galaxy tablet has a nice and large 11-inch LCD screen which can display in resolutions of up to 1200p with a refresh rate of 90 Hz. According to the product page, the Galaxy Tab A9+ can deliver a “cinema-like audio experience,” which is, uh, an obvious embellishment. No one is expecting something you can hold in your hands to match that of an AMC theater. What this is really saying is the tablet has Dolby Atmos support. You can expect terrific sound that’s loud and clear as far as tablets go coming from the on-board speakers.

See at Amazon

The build of the Galaxy tablet is slim and light, yet durable —exactly what you’d hope for on a device you’d likely to take with you out and about. Bring it from home to your office, down to a coffee house, then over to a friend’s no problem.

Storage we covered. You have a choice between either 64 GB or 128 GB. The price jump from one to the next is an even $50. If you expect to be downloading a bunch of movies or TV shows or storing tons of photos, you may decide it’s best to splurge. Otherwise if streaming and documents saved to the cloud will be the main way you use it, just stick with the cheaper 64 GB.

Full Flexibility

Android OS is able to run multiple apps at the same time, allowing you to view them side-by-side. This is excellent when multitasking, letting you work more efficiently. You can even view multiple tabs in you web browser next to each other. Transferring files is easy as Quick Share allows you to send stuff to another nearby device with just a couple button presses.

If you have little ones at home, they can enjoy your Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ as well. The Samsung Kids app is filled with all sorts of playful and colorful content to keep them entertained.

Forget Nintendo, My Arcade Atari Gamestation Go With 200+ Retro Video Games Including Pac-Man Is Now Up for Preorder on Amazon

by admin September 15, 2025

My Arcade has produced a number of miniature retro arcade cabinets supporting officially-licensed games from developers like Capcom and Sega. But now, they’ve just launched an Atari gaming handheld, the Gamestation Go, that just looks beautiful. Pre-orders have opened up earlier this week. You can head on over to Amazon to reserve yours at a price of $180.

See at Amazon

200+ Video Games

The library is impressively stacked. Over 200 video games from yester-year, spanning the Atari 2600, Atari 5200, and Atari 7800 along with Atari Arcade as well as Jaleco and PIKO platforms. Play titles like Breakout, PAC-MAN, Balls of Steel, Missile Command, Centipede, and Asteroids. They all come pre-loaded, no download necessary. It does state is has built-in Wi-Fi for easy updates, but it’s unclear if that could mean more games added at some point in the future.

Design-wise the Atari Gamestation Go looks similar to a Nintendo Switch at a glance, with controller inputs along the side of a big 7-inch display. Also, like a Nintendo Switch, you can play its games on your TV. No dock required. Just a simple HDMI cable will allow you to put these classic titles on the big screen. You’ll probably want one with some decent length though as you’ll still be using the Atari handheld as the controller. It’s battery life will grant you about four to five hours of playtime on a single charge.

The original Atari consoles were well before we established the quintessential layout and design of modern video game controllers. My Arcade’s Atari handheld looks backward to the weird oddities of these old controllers, implementing multiple options like a trak-ball and numeric keypad. You can play these Atari titles authentically to these quirky inputs you just don’t see any more.

There are also all the modern conveniences like an analog stick, D-pad, bumpers and classic A-B-X-Y gamepad buttons (Notably in Xbox’s layout with the A button at the bottom). The various buttons, sticks, and other inputs are all illuminated with SmartGlow technology to both see the inputs in the dark and, more importantly, look cool.

The price point or $180 is a little rough. That’s more than half the cost of a Nintendo Switch for a console that just plays games from the 80s that are pretty easy to get your hands on for next to nothing elsewhere. This seems like a collector novelty more than anything, but definitely a cool thing to pick up if you want to escape skill trees and battle passes for awhile.

The Atari Gamestation Go is available to pre-order at Amazon and is set to release October 31 of this year.

Claude will forget you for free, but memory requires a subscription.

by admin September 13, 2025

  • Claude’s new incognito mode is free for all users
  • Conversations with the AI will stay private and not be in your history or memory
  • The new features arrive with Claude’s newly upgraded memory system for subscribers to Claude Max, Team, and Enterprise

If you enjoy using Anthropic’s Claude AI chatbot but don’t really like the idea of your conversations lingering forever in the cloud, you’re in luck. Claude can now go Incognito, meaning any interaction will be private and unsaved. You won’t see it in your history or when you open the app.

In an industry where AI privacy often comes with a monthly price tag, Anthropic’s decision speaks to how explosively popular Incognito mode is among those leery of how much personal information digital tools absorb to be used at the whim of massive tech companies.

Claude now offers this kind of ephemeral, memory-free mode to every user on every subscription tier, including the free level. Just click the little ghost icon when starting a new chat, and it’s activated. The black border and label confirm your chat is incognito. When you close the window, it’s gone. No history. No memory. No trace aside from a temporary 30-day retention period for safety.

You may like

As with web browsers, Incognito mode is great if you want access to a digital toolkit without everything you look at being a potential news story. Maybe you are embarrassed by your personal, speculative, or just plain weird question. Now you can ask about it without the fear that Claude’s going to bring it up later or incorporate it into a future response. It’s not just about hiding embarrassing questions. It’s about giving users a mental sandbox: a space to think out loud, test ideas, or learn something new without it becoming part of the chatbot’s long-term memory.

That long-term memory has just started rolling out now for Claude. Unlike Incognito mode, though, the memory features are only for Team and Enterprise subscribers at the moment.

Opting into the memory features allows Claude to recall context from conversations, remember previous projects in Projects Mode, store notes about your work preferences, and even help you pick up where you left off. Each project’s memory is isolated, which means your work chats won’t bleed into your personal writing.

Claude remembers

But here’s where it gets interesting: incognito mode and memory don’t compete. They complement each other. Use incognito when you want a clean slate, free from influence or history. Use memory when you want Claude to be a continuity machine, helping you carry long-term threads across chats and tasks.

Sign up for breaking news, reviews, opinion, top tech deals, and more.

And if you’re the kind of person who changes your mind a lot about what you want remembered, Claude’s approach is refreshingly respectful. Nothing gets saved unless you opt in. And if you don’t want memory at all? You don’t have to use it.

It also sets Claude apart from some of its biggest rivals. While OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Google Gemini both offer their own versions of memory and private chats, they don’t make those distinctions quite as clear or customizable. Claude’s implementation feels unusually transparent thanks to its prominent labels and icons

Pick up where you left off with Claude – YouTube

Watch On

Not having the memory feature in place is both appealing and seems to negate some of the possibilities of an AI chatbot. They’re their own bubble and =can’t be converted into regular ones after the fact, so if you forget to copy something important before closing the window, it’s gone. You also can’t use incognito mode inside Claude’s “Projects” feature.

Still, the broader implication that people want to at least have the option for privacy in their AI chatbot conversations is obvious. Incognito mode lowers the barrier to entry for people who are curious about AI but wary of leaving a data trail. And, oddly enough, an AI that can also forget things or at least imitate the experience seems a lot more human than one with total recall.

Forget Ripple Vs. SWIFT, BRICS Nations Are Building On XRP Ledger With Their Central Banks

by admin September 11, 2025

Trusted Editorial content, reviewed by leading industry experts and seasoned editors. Ad Disclosure

Ripple’s role in global finance is drawing new attention after Versan Aljarrah of Black Swan Capitalist revealed that central banks in BRICS nations have been building on the XRP Ledger. The findings suggest that the ledger is not an afterthought but a serious option in the bloc’s plans for cross-border payments.

BRICS Central Banks Quietly Build On XRP Ledger

Versan Aljarrah says that the central banks of BRICS, along with the New Development Bank, have already been working with the XRP Ledger. According to him, the records show clear evidence that this work has been ongoing quietly for years. The archived papers he cites do more than just mention Ripple. They note that BRICS reports point to escrow and automation on the XRPL as tools that can handle the bloc’s cross-border payment needs by making transactions easier, quicker, and more secure.

With Ripples escrow, the system locks payments and then releases them automatically, while its automation tools streamlines the process, reducing the cost and time of transactions. These systems align directly with the vision of the BRICS nations to build a financial structure that operates independently and does not rely heavily on the U.S. dollar for clearing and settlement.

Aljarrah explains that the consistent references in official BRICS materials point to a pattern of deliberate engagement. The bloc has spent years checking how XRPL can fit into its long-term financial system. By highlighting that the groundwork dates back years, Aljarrah draws attention to the quiet yet steady progress that has taken place in the background.

Evidence Suggests A Coordinated Digital Infrastructure Strategy

Versan Aljarrah also stresses that attention to the XRP Ledger has been consistent across several years of BRICS meetings, research papers, and economic forums. Repeated mentions of XRPL in policy papers suggest a coordinated and ongoing strategy, rather than a one-off experiment.

The evidence does not stop with research. Brazil’s central bank has published papers that name Ripple in its tests of distributed ledger systems. In the private sector, projects in Brazil are already using XRPL for tokenization and financing. The mix of research, pilot testing, and adoption indicates that BRICS is not standing by, but is actively exploring Ripple’s technology.

Aljarrah explains that this does not mean entire national systems have moved onto the public ledger. The evidence instead points to preparation. BRICS central banks are examining the strengths of the XRP Ledger, conducting pilots, and assessing its compatibility with their existing financial frameworks.

As Aljarrah points out, this effort has been underway for years, even though the final move to large-scale adoption remains ahead. The big question now is whether the BRICS nations will take the next bold step and integrate the XRP Ledger into their core financial systems.

Forget Bose and JBL, Anker Soundcore Boom 3i Speaker Drops to Record Low Just Weeks After Release

by admin September 10, 2025

Summer may be nearing it’s end, but that doesn’t mean we need to spend all our time inside just yet. Take your music outside with the Soundcore Boom 3i, currently on sale. This outdoor Bluetooth speaker comes in four stylish color combinations. Choose between blue, brown, green, or black. Right now, the black has the highest discount, coming down to $90. The other three are still on sale, but not with as big of a drop. They’re down from $140 to just $100. But if you want something less traditional, the green is pretty slick. It’s got a neon green casing with blue highlights. Well worth the extra $10 in my opinion.

The Soundcore Boom 3i is for outdoorsy folk who want to bring rich, booming music wherever they go, by land or by sea. You see, tons of outdoor speakers will market themselves as being water resistant which really just means they can handle getting slashed on a bit. That’s not the case here. This is full IP68 dustproof and waterproof. More specifically it’s saltwater resistant. It comes in five times more resistant to saltwater than other speakers from competitors.

See at Amazon

Chuck It In the Ocean

So not only can this thing survive going in the water, it’s designed to be there in the first place. The Soundcore Boom 3i can fully float when placed in water. While it’s there, it still produces loud and rich sound with a powerful bass. When it floats, it’s balanced to stay upright so the sound is always projected above the water where you want to hear it. It’s a wonderful accessory to bring to the beach, to the pool, or out kayaking or paddleboarding.

On the subject of durability, this speaker can handle a littler roughhousing. It’s got a durable casing and has been drop-tested to survive falls of up to one meter.

As an outdoor speaker, this thing is only as good as its battery life (last time I checked, the beach doesn’t have too many outlets). The Soundcore Boom 3i provides up to 16 hours of playback time on a single charge.

Take full control of your Soundcore Boom 3i using the smart companion app on their phone. It can adjust settings such as voice amplifier and more. Push the bass to be super deep with BassUp 2.0. That can bring forward 50W of sound with a deep bass at 56Hz.

Right now, you can get the Soundcore Boom 3i for as low as $90 for a limited time.

Bitcoin (BTC): Extreme Reversal Pattern Painted, Ethereum (ETH): This is Bad News For Rally, Solana (SOL): Forget $300?

by admin September 5, 2025

As shown in our previous market review, altcoins are still struggling. The market is moving toward an infliction point as the next move could be fundamental for multiple assets. Solana is showing signs of rally exhaustion, Ethereum is entering a potential stalemate. But despite the negative altcoin scene, Bitcoin might be pushing higher with a new bullish pattern.

Bitcoin’s key pattern

Bitcoin might be forming the cup-and-handle, one of the most well-known bullish patterns in technical analysis. Although not yet confirmed, the pattern appears on the daily chart, indicating that after weeks of volatile price action, digital gold may be getting ready for a brief reversal.

BTC/USDT Chart by TradingView

BTC fell, consolidated and then steadily recovered to retest resistance levels close to $114,000 during the cup part of the pattern, which seems to have formed between mid-August and early September. The subsequent brief decline is comparable to the start of the handle, a period of consolidation that frequently comes before a breakout. Key factors right now are:

  • Technically speaking, Bitcoin might surpass the $114,000 resistance and aim for the $118,000-$120,000 range if the handle completes and buyers enter with conviction.
  • The 50-day EMA, which has been capping rallies in recent weeks, is in that zone.
  • Following a correction that pulled Bitcoin from highs above $124,000, a successful breakout would both confirm the cup-and-handle and reestablish bullish momentum. The setup is far from risk-free, though.
  • Bitcoin is susceptible to a deeper retracement toward $104,000, the 200-day EMA, and a critical structural level for long-term investors if the pattern fails to hold the $110,000-$108,000 support area.

Short-term traders of Bitcoin should monitor the $114,000 neckline. BTC’s next leg higher could be launched from current consolidation if a breakout above it solidifies the mini cup-and-handle formation.

Ethereum’s pivotal level

The price structure of Ethereum is at a turning point. Ethereum has deviated from its steady wave-like pattern of higher highs and higher lows for the first time since its spectacular rally started earlier this summer. The asset is currently trending sideways rather than upward, which may be an early indicator of an impending reversal.

You Might Also Like

Both the 20-day and 50-day EMAs have been supporting Ethereum’s strong upward channel since mid-July. New purchases followed each decline, resulting in a stairway rally that saw ETH reach $4,800. Recent candles, however, show a divergence from that bullish trend. With ETH struggling to regain its momentum, the price action has flattened and is now trapped between $4,200 and $4,500.

What this sideways move suggests is what investors are worried about. Strong upward trends usually indicate waning demand and give way to bearish momentum when they lose their rhythm. The next reasonable support level for ETH, if it drops below $4,200, is the 100-day EMA close to $4,000. Ethereum would be at risk of a more severe retracement toward $3,600 if there was a decline there, confirming that the rally’s structure has been officially broken.

A consistent drop in volume has also supported the notion that market players are retreating. Sideways price action frequently resolves to the downside in the absence of significant inflows. The $4,200 key zone is still important for traders to keep an eye on. The bullish story may be saved if ETH maintains this level and breaks above the $4,500 resistance with strong volume.

Solana rally ends?

A lower high is beginning to form on the chart, which is a clear warning sign that Solana is getting tired. Following months of steady gains and higher highs since July, this development may signal the start of a more significant trend reversal, which could put an end to the asset’s current bullish cycle.

SOL recently reached a peak of about $210, but it was unable to surpass its August high of about $225. As an alternative, price action rolled over, creating a lower high, which is a classic indication of waning bullish momentum. Every high should surpass the one before it in a healthy uptrend, but this pattern break indicates that buying pressure isn’t strong enough to push Solana higher at this point.

You Might Also Like

Declining trading volume combined with the daily structure makes it even more worrisome. Enthusiasm has waned, suggesting that market participants are reluctant to keep joining the rally even though the price is still above the psychological $200 threshold. A loss of momentum is reflected in the Relative Strength Index’s (RSI) flattening.

A confirmed trend reversal could occur from the lower high if Solana is unable to recover the $225 level in the near future. If $196, a crucial short-term support, were broken, further declines toward $185 and the 100-day EMA at $176 would be possible. A stronger move might even put the 200-day EMA close to $170 to the test, which would seriously undermine the long-term bullish argument.

The upward trend is currently on life support. A significant push above $210-$215 is necessary for bulls to regain confidence. If not, Solana’s lower high might signal the beginning of a longer-lasting bearish phase that could change market sentiment in the upcoming months.

Across Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana, price action is tightening around levels that could determine the direction of the market in the next few weeks. A confirmed breakout would restore confidence in the uptrend, while failure to hold support zones risks shifting sentiment decisively bearish.

Forget Crucial or WD, This Samsung 990 EVO Plus 2TB SSD Costs Peanuts on Amazon

by admin August 29, 2025

This Samsung internal SSD is a trusted and reliable option.

The internal SSD market doesn’t have a ton of options if you want a powerful drive, but Samsung is definitely leading the race right now. If you’re looking for a 2TB SSD that offers serious speed at a reasonable price point, Samsung’s 990 EVO Plus just dropped to an all-time low price on Amazon at only $119, down from $176. That’s a crazy good deal compared to similar drives from Crucial or WD_Black that go for $129 to $189 right now. Plus, it’s getting rave reviews with a solid 4.8 out of 5 stars, so it’s definitely worth a look.

See at Amazon

Insane Speed

This Samsung 990 EVO Plus has a PCIe Gen 4×4 interface and features read speeds of up to 7,250 MB/s. What does that do for you? Quick game loading, quick file transfer, and apps in a flash, cutting down on waiting time big time. It’s an M.2 2280 size, basically saying it will be compatible with nearly any new laptop or desktop available. Samsung also uses something called HMB Technology which allows the drive to manage its memory smoothly.

The drive also has Intelligent Turbowrite 2.0 which boosts write speeds when you most need them. That’s a nice little kick when you’re copying data or moving files around, so the whole system feels nippier as time goes on while the drive smartly learns about how you use it. This’s not necessarily about raw speed: it’s about keeping your system responsive and efficient. And let’s be honest, Samsung’s all about quality, so this SSD is well-ventilated and won’t drain your battery even if you’re using it hard.

Worried about how long it will last? This SSD is built to endure. It includes a high Total Bytes Written (TBW) rating, which is just geek speak for “it can write a whole lot of data throughout its lifetime,” so you can game, work or store a gazillion files without fear. Samsung also offers great software utilities that let you keep tabs on your drive’s health and optimize its performance easily.

At this cost and with Samsung’s impeccable track record, the 990 EVO Plus 2TB SSD is a deal that won’t leave you disappointed.
