Bitcoin Chases New All-time Highs, Altcoins Gear Up to Follow

by admin October 3, 2025

Key points:

  • Solid inflows into spot Bitcoin ETFs show that bulls are back in the driver’s seat and a rally to a new all-time high is likely.

  • BNB is leading the altcoin recovery, with several altcoins poised to break above their overhead resistance levels.

Bitcoin (BTC) rose close to $123,900 on Friday, continuing its march toward the all-time high of $124,474. BTC’s recovery is backed by solid demand from the bulls, and the US spot BTC exchange-traded funds recorded $2.25 billion in inflows since Monday, according to Farside Investors data.

Analysts expect BTC to surge to a new all-time high. Capriole Investments founder Charles Edwards told Cointelegraph that BTC could skyrocket to $150,000 before the end of the year as investors seek safe-haven investments alongside gold.

While all signs point to a possible continuation of the uptrend, some analysts are cautious. Trader Roman said in a post on X that the relative strength index (RSI) indicator on BTC’s chart is exhibiting a bearish divergence on both the weekly and monthly time frames. Roman cautioned traders to be “careful holding here.”

Could BTC soar to a new all-time high, triggering a rally in altcoins? Let’s analyze the charts of the top 10 cryptocurrencies to find out.

Bitcoin price prediction

BTC surged above the $117,500 overhead resistance on Wednesday, indicating that the buyers are back in command.

BTC/USDT daily chart. Source: Cointelegraph/TradingView

The BTC/USDT pair has reached near the all-time high of $124,474, where the bears are expected to mount a strong defense. If the price turns down sharply from the current level of $124,474 and breaks below $117,500, it signals that the bears are active at higher levels. The Bitcoin price may then remain between $107,000 and $124,474 for a while longer.

Instead, if buyers drive the price above $124,474, it signals the resumption of the uptrend. The pair may then rally to $141,948.

Ether price prediction

Ether (ETH) closed above the 20-day exponential moving average ($4,309) on Wednesday and reached the resistance line on Friday.

ETH/USDT daily chart. Source: Cointelegraph/TradingView

The 20-day EMA has started to turn up gradually, and the RSI has risen into the positive territory, signaling a slight edge to the bulls. Sellers will attempt to halt the recovery at the resistance line, but if the buyers prevail, the ETH/USDT pair could retest the all-time high at $4,957.

The bears will have to pull the price below the 20-day EMA to weaken the bullish momentum. The Ether price could then drop to $4,060.

XRP price prediction

Buyers pushed XRP (XRP) above the downtrend line on Thursday but were unable to achieve a close above it.

XRP/USDT daily chart. Source: Cointelegraph/TradingView

Buyers are again attempting to maintain the XRP price above the downtrend line. If they succeed, the bearish descending triangle pattern will be invalidated. The XRP/USDT pair may then climb to $3.20 and later to $3.38.

This optimistic view will be negated in the near term if the price turns down and breaks below the moving averages. That suggests the breakout above the downtrend line may have been a bull trap.

BNB price prediction

BNB (BNB) skyrocketed to a new all-time high above $1,084 on Thursday and extended the up move on Friday.

BNB/USDT daily chart. Source: Cointelegraph/TradingView

The BNB/USDT pair has broken above the ascending channel pattern, signaling a pickup in bullish momentum. There is minor resistance at $1,173, but if this level is crossed, the rally could extend to $1,252.

The breakout level from the channel and the 20-day EMA ($1,004) are likely to act as strong supports on the downside. Sellers will have to drag the BNB price below $930 to suggest that the pair may have topped out in the short term.

Solana price prediction

Buyers pushed Solana (SOL) back above the uptrend line on Wednesday, suggesting that the corrective phase may be over.

SOL/USDT daily chart. Source: Cointelegraph/TradingView

Any pullback from the current level is likely to find support at the 20-day EMA ($220). If that happens, the SOL/USDT pair could rally to the overhead resistance of $260. Sellers are expected to defend the $260 level with all their might because a close above it could catapult the Solana price to $295.

Sellers will have to tug the price below the 50-day simple moving average ($212) to make a comeback.

Dogecoin price prediction

Dogecoin (DOGE) closed above the 20-day EMA ($0.24) on Wednesday, indicating a slight edge to the bulls.

DOGE/USDT daily chart. Source: Cointelegraph/TradingView

Although the DOGE/USDT pair remains stuck inside a large range between $0.14 and $0.29, the price action is forming an ascending triangle pattern. Buyers will have to achieve a close above $0.29 to complete the bullish setup. DOGE may then rally to the pattern target of $0.39.

The bullish pattern will be invalidated if the bears pull the price below the uptrend line. That suggests the pair may extend its consolidation for some more time.

Cardano price prediction

Cardano’s (ADA) recovery rose above the 50-day SMA ($0.86) on Thursday, indicating that the selling pressure is reducing.

ADA/USDT daily chart. Source: Cointelegraph/TradingView

Buyers will have to propel the Cardano price above the resistance line to suggest that the correction may be over. The ADA/USDT pair could then attempt a rally to $1.02, where the bears are expected to step in.

Contrarily, if the price turns down from the current level or the resistance line and breaks below the 20-day EMA ($0.84), it suggests that the bears are selling on rallies. The pair may then slump to the $0.75 support.

Hyperliquid price prediction

Hyperliquid (HYPE) surged above the moving averages on Thursday, indicating solid buying at lower levels.

HYPE/USDT daily chart. Source: Cointelegraph/TradingView

The relief rally is expected to face selling at the 61.8% Fibonacci retracement level of $51.87. If the price turns down from $51.87 but bounces off the moving averages, it suggests that the sentiment has turned bullish. The HYPE/USDT pair could then ascend to $59.41.

On the contrary, if the price turns down and breaks below the moving averages, it signals that the bears are active at higher levels. The Hyperliquid price could then tumble to $43 and thereafter to $39.68.

Chainlink price prediction

Chainlink (LINK) rose above the 20-day EMA ($22.35) on Wednesday, but the bulls are facing resistance near the downtrend line.

LINK/USDT daily chart. Source: Cointelegraph/TradingView

If the price skids and remains below the 20-day EMA, it suggests that the LINK/USDT pair could stay inside the descending channel pattern for a few more days.

The first sign of strength will be a break and close above the downtrend line. If that happens, the Chainlink price could rally to $26 and, after that, to $27. Sellers will attempt to halt the up move at $27, but if the bulls prevail, the rally could reach $30.94.

Sui price prediction

Sui (SUI) climbed above the moving averages on Wednesday, indicating that the selling pressure is reducing.

SUI/USDT daily chart. Source: Cointelegraph/TradingView

If buyers maintain the price above the moving averages, the SUI/USDT pair could climb to the downtrend line. Sellers are expected to defend the downtrend line aggressively because a break above it could propel the Sui price to $4.20 and subsequently to $4.44.

On the contrary, if the price turns down and breaks below the moving averages, it suggests that the bears have not given up. The pair may then tumble to the $3.26 to $3.06 support zone.

How to follow Amazon’s big hardware event tomorrow

by admin September 30, 2025

Tomorrow, Amazon will host an event in New York City to unveil some new hardware. The showcase kicks off on September 30 at 10AM ET. Based on what we can see in the invitation and the most common cadence of product news, we are expecting to hear about developments to the Echo line of smart speakers, at least one new addition to the Kindle collection and an update for the Fire TV.

Normally this is where we’d have an embed of a YouTube link so you could watch along on Tuesday, but this event is a little unusual in that Amazon doesn’t provide a stream for those of us at home. However, Engadget will have reporters at the event, and they will be liveblogging all the details as Amazon announces them. The liveblog will be up and running around 8AM ET.

In past years, this fall showcase has also been when Amazon shares news from the Ring, Blink and Eero companies, so we might have more than just its own-brand products being discussed tomorrow. And with AI the buzzword of the day, there’s also a good chance that Amazon execs will spend some time discussing the Alexa+ voice assistant.

Silent Hill f’s finicky combat doesn’t actually have to be an issue if you follow these cardinal rules

by admin September 26, 2025

If you’ve been following the lead-up to Silent Hill f’s release, then you’ve probably heard some not-so-great things about its combat. I’ll concede that the first few enemy encounters can feel bad, rusty-old-knife-getting-sunk-into-your-shoulder bad. But it does get better, especially once you realise that you can just ignore most of the monsters you come across.

I’m something of a magpie and a hoarder in survival horror games, which means that I collect every single item I come across and then never want to use them. So my solution to this has always been to rely on being as sneaky as possible and perfecting the art of the dodge. And just like most survival games, it works a charm: I found every single note, letter, item, and omamori in Silent Hill f, and I hardly killed a thing.

One of the benefits of Silent Hill f being a third-person horror game is that you can play corners; I used this to check corners and alleyways before I walked around or past them. Not only did this save me from getting jumped by knife-wielding mannequins, but it also meant I could see when an enemy was approaching and then wait until it went past to make a move to the next location.

Related articles

The monsters in Silent Hill f really aren’t that smart, and they have pretty short lines of sight when it comes to pursuing you. If you decide to equip the Clam omamori, which will be the first charm you buy from the Shrine shop, then their line of sight will get even shorter, meaning turning a corner will be enough to permanently get them off your tail.

There were even moments when I passed a bunch of enemies and then ran a few paces down the street, only to look back and realise that they had all lost interest in me. You can outpace most of the monsters, so my advice is to go on the run. The only enemies that are worth fighting are the Glowing Monsters in Ebisugaoka and the faceless Shackled Monster in the Dark Shrine, as both of these can catch up to you.

There will be areas in which you have to fight a bunch of monsters to unlock the next part, but these aren’t massively common, and the game will give you plenty of items before and after these sections to help you.

Instead of focusing on fighting, scan the map for helpful information and items that will make you stronger. You can sell items in every Shrine for faith, which is the currency in Silent Hill f that can allow you to buy omamori from the shop or upgrade your health, sanity, stamina, and carry number for omamori, although you’ll need an ema for upgrades as well.

Keep up to date with the most important stories and the best deals, as picked by the PC Gamer team.

Getting more omamori is a must. Here are some of the best ones to help you survive the latter stages of the game:

  • Clam – Decreases enemy line of sight.
  • Whale – You can’t be interrupted by a hit while healing.
  • Crow – Slightly restores health after each enemy defeated.
  • Spider – Greatly decreases weapon durability consumption for light attacks.
  • Suzuran – Perfect dodges become easier to perform.
  • Goat – Take less damage when facing multiple enemies.
  • Dolphin – Increase max sanity after a perfect dodge.
  • Owl – decreases sanity consumption while using Focus.
  • Sakura – Boosts health-restoring items and omamori.
  • Tanuki – Turns physical damage into sanity damage.

After the first couple of runs, I had maxed out my sanity, health, and stamina and also had upgraded to five omamori slots. I focused on making my weapons stronger with the Spider omamori and using less sanity consumption when using the focus ability with the Owl omamori. This meant that I ended up finishing the next three endings with the same starting knife each time, and I had so much stamina that dodging and fighting enemies became ridiculously easy.

But even after I was finished with my upgrades, I still didn’t seek out fights because that’s just not how you’re meant to explore Silent Hill f. If I decided to fight every single enemy I saw, I would still be on my second playthrough. So my advice for anyone entering Ebisugaoka for the first time would be to keep your head down, move methodically through each area, and use save points and line of sight to your advantage; you’ll have far fewer issues playing like this.

Massive $415 Million XRP Transfer Hits Ledger, Ripple Rumors Follow

by admin September 22, 2025

  • XRP price sell-off triggers cascade of liquidations
  • Bottom line

Whale Alert tracked a single transfer of 141,818,659 XRP, worth $415,624,232 at the time. At first, it appeared to be a typical mystery whale transaction, or possibly Ripple moving its supply.

However, on-chain data suggests otherwise, as both ends of the transaction are Kraken-linked addresses. The sending account’s last outbound transfer was for 99,018,954 XRP, and the receiving account — activated via a Kraken tag — now holds 141,818,661 XRP.

This suggests internal shuffling between exchange wallets rather than tokens being released onto the market.

XRP price sell-off triggers cascade of liquidations

The transfer itself did not affect the price right away. XRP traded at around $2.85 after the alert was issued. It was not until approximately four hours later that Bitstamp showed a decline to $2.68 — a fall of around 6% from the intraday high — before recovering to above $2.82.

The dump likely came from separate market flows, while the transaction was an event of exchange management that just happened to hit public feeds on the same day.

Bottom line

Major platforms commonly make these kinds of giant wallet moves to rebalance hot and cold storage, stage liquidity for clients or consolidate deposits. It is the notional size that grabs attention, because $415 million in one transaction is enough to raise eyebrows, even if the coins never touch the order book.

Ripple was not involved here, but every time hundreds of millions of dollars’ worth of XRP are reshuffled on the blockchain, the conversation comes back to Ripple’s role.

WWE Wrestlepalooza takeaways: AJ Lee is back, Rhodes primed to follow Cena’s path

by admin September 21, 2025

More than 11 years since they last met in a singles match, Brock Lesnar dominated John Cena to kick off the first WWE Premium Live Event (PLE) on ESPN in the main event of Wrestlepalooza on Saturday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

The Vision tag team of Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker defeated Jimmy and Jey Uso in a match refereed by LA Knight, who did more than just … referee. And Stephanie Vaquer and Iyo Sky put on an all-action match that saw the Dark Angel claim the vacant Women’s World Championship.

CM Punk and AJ Lee teamed up to defeat Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch in a “couples clash.” Despite being away from the WWE for more than a decade, Lee looked impressive in a match that saw her use the Black Widow submission multiple times and the announcers’ tables destroyed.

A surprise moment happened before the main event when The Undertaker rode to the ring on a motorcycle to tell Stephanie McMahon that she will be the first Superstar to be inducted into the 2026 WWE Hall of Fame.

To end the card, Cody Rhodes defended his Undisputed WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre. Rhodes hit his Cross Rhodes finisher to win by pinfall.

Here are the biggest Wrestlepalooza takeaways from Saturday night:

Sept. 20 Wrestlepalooza results

  • Brock Lesnar def. John Cena

  • The Vision def. The Usos

  • Stephanie Vaquer def. Iyo Sky to win the vacant Women’s World Championship

  • CM Punk and AJ Lee def. Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch

  • Cody Rhodes def. Drew McIntyre to retain his Undisputed WWE Championship

With Cena winding down, Rhodes cemented as ‘the face that runs the place’

John Cena receives a standing ovation as he leaves the ring

John Cena is cheered on by the crowd as he exits after losing to Brock Lesnar.

The juxtaposition was clear: This was a landmark event, one that many new or returning fans to professional wrestling would tune in to watch. Cena got absolutely dismantled — again — by Lesnar to start the show. Cena took almost double-digit F5s and was left motionless in the ring after the match. Eventually, Cena walked up the ramp under his own power while turning his head, as if to say goodbye to the Indianapolis crowd. Cena only has five WWE appearances remaining before he hangs up his jorts for good.

This match was only slightly more competitive than Cena and Lesnar’s famous one-sided beatdown at SummerSlam 2014. Cena did hit three Attitude Adjustments on Saturday, but it ultimately did nothing to help him in the match. Lesnar was exactly as advertised — a “Beast.” A fun moment was longtime manager Paul Heyman coming out to introduce Lesnar, including listing his athletic accolades such as former NCAA and UFC champion.

Rhodes, who defeated Cena for the Undisputed WWE Championship at SummerSlam last month, vanquished McIntyre to end the show. It was a competitive match that eventually saw the Scottish Warrior kick through an announcers’ table, injuring himself. McIntyre was unable to execute a Claymore Kick later in the match as a result, leading Rhodes to pounce and ultimately land a Cross Rhodes finisher to get the victory. The show ended with Rhodes holding the Undisputed Championship in the air.

If Cena passed the torch to Rhodes officially at SummerSlam, then this was the celebration. Wrestlepalooza cemented the “American Nightmare” as the “face that runs the place.” At the very least, to the new fans watching.

Next up for Rhodes is a match against World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins for the WWE Crown Jewel Championship in Perth on Oct. 12.

MVP of the night goes to AJ Lee

AJ Lee, husband CM Punk come out victorious in mixed tag team match

AJ Lee and her husband CM Punk come out with a hard-fought victory over Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins.

Lee did not at all look like a competitor who left the squared circle for more than 10 years. She was sharp and ready, with the crowd rightfully chanting “You still got it” before she executed — her Black Widow submission on Becky Lynch. The couples clash of Lee and CM Punk vs. Lynch and Rollins was a fun one, especially the sequences involving all four competitors.

After her performance at Wrestlepalooza, Lee has every option available to her now — pretty much everyone in the women’s division is a fresh opponent. Could she face Lynch in a singles match first? How about Tiffany Stratton, Stephanie Vaquer, Giulia, or Asuka? I do think Lynch is in the immediate future and then the world is her oyster. To me, the more opponents Lee faces the better. She was a flag bearer for women’s wrestling before her departure, and there is a built in desire to see her face this generation’s talent.

The match of the night goes to … Vaquer vs. Sky

play

0:38

Stephanie Vaquer receives standing ovation after winning title

Stephanie Vaquer defeats Iyo Sky to become the new champion and receives a big standing ovation.

This was a back-and-forth, technical and high-flying match. Vaquer won to claim the vacant Women’s World Championship. Could Rhea Ripley be next at Crown Jewel in Perth on Oct. 12 in Ripley’s home continent of Australia?

A clear Vision

play

0:43

The Vision defeat Jimmy and Jey Uso

Bron Breakker spears Jimmy and Jey Uso through a table, then Bronson Reed hits a Tsunami to pin Jey Uso for the win.

Before the match, The Usos reunited one last time to face The Vision, who ended up winning the match. It was fun to see Jimmy and Jey competing together again, but this was a valuable win for The Vision and their ascension. LA Knight was the guest referee for the match, but there was no physicality between him and Jey Uso.

Next for Jey, I could see a singles match with Knight at Crown Jewel. For The Vision, we might have to wait until the tag titles are secured by a babyface team before we see Reed and Breakker challenging for them, potentially in a non-PLE match.

Surprise of the night

What a moment! 🙌

The Undertaker just revealed that Stephanie McMahon will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame next year in 2026! pic.twitter.com/3P7zuOSKah

— WWE (@WWE) September 21, 2025

This belongs to The Undertaker riding his motorcycle to the ring. He stopped ringside next to Stephanie McMahon and hopped the barricade to sit beside her, revealing the news that McMahon is the first person to be inducted into the 2026 WWE Hall of Fame class. It was a genuine and touching moment and McMahon seemed genuinely surprised by the announcement.

Another surprise was the arrival of ESPN host Pat McAfee, who hours earlier was on “College GameDay” in Miami jumping off a very high diving board. McAfee raced home to Indianapolis to make sure he could call a couple of matches.

Outperforms BTC, Poised to Follow Ether’s 200% Rally on ETF and Treasury Demand

by admin September 3, 2025

With bitcoin BTC$112,260.21 stuck just above $110,000 and ether (ETH) consolidating after hitting fresh records, Solana SOL$209.27 has emerged as a standout performer in the crypto market recently.

The token traded around $211 on Monday, up 33% from early August lows, making it one of the best performers in the CoinDesk 20 Index in the past month. Against bitcoin, SOL has gained 34% over the past month, and it has strengthened 14% versus ETH since mid-August.

The rally reflects a broader rotation into altcoins, analysts said.

“The season of profit redistribution among holders of cryptocurrencies continues,” Sergei Gorev, head of risk at YouHodler, said in a market note shared with CoinDesk. He said liquidity has been moving out of BTC into second-tier tokens, with “a noticeable increase in the positive dynamics in capital flows to SOL.”

Such flows could be long-term as corporate investors look for large, liquid projects to hold, Gorev added, naming SOL alongside with XRP XRP$2.8512 as the “next interesting market ideas.”

Jeff Dorman, chief investment officer at Arca, tipped SOL to replicate ether’s turnaround earlier this year. He pointed to Ethereum’s resurgence after stablecoin adoption, strong ETF inflows and the relentless bid from digital asset treasuries, or DATs, helped ETH rally nearly 200% since April.

“SOL appears poised to repeat the exact same playbook that ETH just executed in the coming months,” Dorman wrote in a fresh report.

The first U.S.-listed Solana ETF launched in July, but it was futures-based. Several asset managers, including VanEck and Fidelity, have filed for spot products with decisions due later this year, Dorman said.

Meanwhile, at least three Solana-focused DATs are raising funds that could channel up to $2.65 billion into SOL over the next month, he added.

Solana-focused digital asset treasuries announced (Arca)

At only one-fifth of ETH’s market capitalization, SOL’s price could be even more reactive to the flows if they materialize.

“SOL might be the most obvious long right now,” Dorman said. “If the price of ETH rose almost 200% on roughly $20 billion of new demand, what do you think happens to SOL on $2.5 billion or more of new demand?”

Recent news could also add to the momentum. Nasdaq-listed digital asset conglomerate Galaxy Digital tokenized its shares on Solana, while the approval of the Alpenglow upgrade promises to improve transaction speed and finality.

MrBeast looks to follow Ryan Reynolds into mobile market

by admin September 3, 2025

YouTube royalty MrBeast is following in the footsteps of Hollywood A-Lister Ryan Reynolds and making plans to create his very own phone service company in the vein of Mint Mobile.

Jimmy ‘MrBeast‘ Donaldson has never been one to solely rely on his YouTube empire to stay afloat. He’s launched a slew of different business ventures over the years, including his Feastables chocolate bar line, his MrBeast Lab toy brand, and even his own game show on Amazon Prime, to name a few.

Article continues after ad

Now, MrBeast is looking into the world of communications — specifically, starting his own phone service company, using Ryan Reynold’s Mint Mobile as a blueprint.

Instagram: FeastablesMrBeast is expanding his ever-growing YouTube empire into the communications business.

YouTube giant MrBeast eyes phone service launch

A leaked investor deck, obtained by Business Insider earlier this year, listed the idea as one of several initiatives being pursued by Beast Industries, the YouTuber’s self-named company.

Sources close to the organization told Business Insider that Donaldson’s team is casting a wide net to secure partnerships, saying there is not a specific launch date or timeline to indicate when the phone company will launch as of yet.

Article continues after ad

Article continues after ad

They also noted that this particular venture is not an “immediate priority” for Beast Industries, though the deck initially suggested the phone company would launch sometime in 2026.

While MrBeast has been able to move proverbial mountains thanks to his internet empire, competing with the likes of T-Mobile and Verizon to make a phone service seems daunting for anyone — but he won’t have to reinvent the wheel.

Instagram: MrBeastMrBeast’s YouTube success has paved the way for him to expand his business in multiple directions.

Beast Industries’ pitch deck suggested that its service would be an MVNO (mobile virtual network operator). In simple terms, an MVNO is a branded mobile plan that uses other companies’ pre-existing infrastructure, such as T-Mobile, by purchasing access to their services, which they then sell to consumers at their own rates.

Article continues after ad

If this sounds familiar, it’s probably because you’ve seen Ryan Reynolds’ advertisements for his own MVNO phone service, Mint Mobile, which he sold to T-Mobile for $1.35B in 2024.

This is just the latest undertaking for MrBeast after he raised over $40M to help give communities across the world access to clean drinking water as part of his viral TeamWater initiative.
