Lego Fortnite Expeditions is a mission-based PvE mode where you’re up against an evil mask maker

by admin June 18, 2025

Lego Fortnite Expeditions’ existence isn’t much of a mystery given all the teasing Epic’s been giving it on social media recently, but the teasing has now made way for a full reveal. And what is it? Expeditions, it turns out, is a mission-based PvE mode where players join forces to thwart the nefarious plans of an evil mask maker. As for the when, it’s out this week.

Those wishing to embark on an Expeditions adventure will be enrolled in the Supernova Academy, where they’ll hang out with other players, chat with members of the faculty (including founder Vengeance Jones), and take on co-op missions pitting them against Mask Maker Daigo’s minions – which include sentient crystals, demon guards, and formidable Titans.

These missions whisk players (and as many as three friends) to key locations around the world map, including Utopia City, Spire Excavation Site, and Busted Bridge, with more – such as Demon’s Domain, where Daigo resides – coming after launch. As for what you’ll be doing out in the field, there’s talk of rescuing civilians, setting up comm relays, and deploying field generators, all while fending off waves of enemies – and if players can find moment to explore amid the chaos, they might uncover useful resources, currency, gear, and more.

To aid in their adventures, players can switch between three distinct classes at will, each with their own XP-based skills trees. Shadow Caller, for instance, can summon projectiles that heal or deal damage; The Hunter is all about inflicting massive damage to a single target, while Rift Rippers can use their rift abilities against either single or multiple foes. Players can also randomly acquire gadgets and weapons – including Plasma Pistols, Dual Daggers, and the War Hammer – by spending Essence found during missions back at the academy.

As missions are completed, they’ll contribute to global goals known as Team Projects, and Epic also mentions Academy Assignments, additional objectives players can pick up from faculty members and tackle during their downtime.

Lego Fortnite Expeditions comes to all versions of Fortnite on 18th June, and can be accessed via the Battle Bus in either Odyssey or Brick Life modes. Additionally, Expeditions monsters will begin infiltrating Odyssey in July (hero classes will follow, according to Epic), and players can start crafting Expeditions weapons in preparation soon.

Two Point Museum’s latest update adds memorial exhibits for staff who vanish on expeditions, which you can put on display or sell for cold, hard profit

by admin June 14, 2025

It may not have caught the same attention as Clair Obscur or Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, but Two Point Museum is quietly one of the best games released this year. Two Point Studio’s latest management sim is comfortably its best yet, and a game that nudges the genre forward in small but meaningful ways. A big part of that is down to its expedition system, where you dispatch different brands of boffins on adventures to retrieve ancient, exotic artifacts for display.

This feature also happens to be at the heart of Two Point Museum’s summer update, which targets the adventurers who fail to return from your relic hunting missions. Now, when one of your experts goes missing, you’ll be granted a memorial exhibit that you can place inside your museum to commemorate the loss.

While hardly the sunniest new feature Two Point Studios could have added given the season, it is neat. Memorials vary depending on the MIA staff’s rank, role and gender, ranging from simple plaques for low-ranking staff, to glittering statues for your most intrepid explorers. You can display these like any other exhibit, but if you don’t want to recognise the deeds of your MIA experts, you can also just sell them so you can expand your gift shop filled with tat.

In any case, it’s a clever way of ensuring you never come away from an expedition empty-handed. Memorials aside, the update also overhauls the underlying expedition system, aiming to reduce randomisation so players don’t have to repeat the same expedition ad nauseum to retrieve every available artifact. Two Point Studios says it’s using a “phased approach” to adding this feature in, starting with eight specific expedition locations on the map.

Elsewhere, the update adds 30 new posters to decorate your cafeterias and gift shops with, while also making several tweaks to the security simulation. Thieves who manage to nab one of your exhibits will now lug it around in a backpack, making it easier to tell the difference between infiltrating and exfiltrating robbers. In addition, burglars who have been revealed but haven’t nicked anything yet will play “more suspicious animations”.

All of this comes with the usual array of balance tweaks and bug fixes. You can now expect your robot staff to get their perks installed properly, while subtitles for the in-game radio show should now pause with the rest of the game. My favourite fix simply reads “added improvements to the Ransom Message”. Nothing like adding an air of mystery to your changelog.

If you’ve yet to check out Two Point Museum among 2025’s deluge of games, I thoroughly recommend that you do. Mollie was similarly enchanted by it in her Two Point Museum review, calling it ” one of the neatest, most approachable management sims in recent memory”.

From Software Promises Enhanced Boss Fights, Duo Expeditions For Elden Ring Nightreign

by admin June 4, 2025

From Software’s latest game, the multiplayer co-op Elden Ring Nightreign, launched last week, welcoming 2 million players in less than 24 hours. Today, publisher Bandai Namco revealed the player count has leaped to 3.5 million alongside news that duo expeditions are coming to the game in the future.

The team also says that in addition to DLC releasing later this year, new things will be added to Nighreign, like enhanced boss fights against Nightlords starting this month.

“On the dawn of the fifth day, 3.5 million Nightfarers took up arms against the Night in Elden Ring Nightreign. We are ever grateful for your passion,” a post from the Elden Ring X account reads. “But the night is far from over. In addition to the DLC releasing later this year, new additions will be gradually implemented, including enhanced fights against existing Nightlords starting this month, as well as Duo Expeditions at a later date. Thank you for your support.”

Confirming that duo expeditions are coming to Nightreign is exciting, especially as matchmaking for trios is tough, and playing solo is even tougher. From Software released a patch yesterday that should make the latter easier, though.

Duo Expeditions will officially come to Elden Ring Nightreign, as the game passes 3.5 million players

by admin June 3, 2025

Elden Ring Nightreign launched missing many, many features most of us expect in modern multiplayer games. The co-op action RPG is designed for three players, and that’s about the only optimal way to play it.

There’s no option for Duos, and though you can start the game’s Expeditions (runs) as a solo player, you’re not going to have a fun time. But, FromSoftware is seemingly listening, and the developer just announced some major news.

Earlier today, the FromSoftware revealed (via the official Elden Ring Twitter account) that the game has surpassed 3.5 million players. The wording of the tweet does not specify whether those were actual sales or simply just player numbers.

Seeing as Nightreign has been doing very well on Steam – making it FromSoft’s second-biggest launch ever, 3.5 million copies sounds very plausible when you keep in mind other platforms, too.

Alongside this news, the developer also shared some early details about a number of features currently in the works, which will arrive in the game at various points in the future. Firstly: Duos. Yes, the ability to play Nightreign with just one other player – something modders are already working on making possible – is being worked on.

The announcement did not say when we can expect Duo Expeditions to arrive, offering nothing beyond “at a later date” as the release target. This is the studio’s first official acknowledgement of the desire for a Duos mode, which is good to see.

The game’s most recent patch, which arrived yesterday, made things a little less frustrating for solo players – even if the game remains very much not designed for solos. More tweaks in that vein are in the works, too.

Something else you can expect to see later this month are “enhanced fights against existing Nightlords,” which is just the type of vague language FromSoft loves to use. There’s also the previously-announced DLC, which is set to arrive later in the year.

If you’re knee-deep the game right now, our Elden Ring Nightreign guide is one worth bookmarking. Even if you’re already on top of your Executor, and Revenant builds, you’re going to find plenty of useful info to help you wrap your head around those map events, how to unlock skins for your characters and much more.

Elden Ring Nightreign Patch Coming Next Week To Make Solo Expeditions Easier

by admin May 30, 2025

Elden Ring Nightreign launched today and in less than 24 hours, the game already has 2 million players. While it is designed as a three-player co-op roguelite experience, you can also play Nightreign solo… but it’s really, really hard. Fortunately, From Software is listening to players and releasing a patch next week to make solo expeditions easier.

The studio announced this patch on the official Elden Ring X account, stating Patch 1.02 arrives next week and includes several bug fixes and improvements for solo expeditions. As for what to expect, From Software says the effect, “Automatic Revival Upon Defeat,” which allows revival once per night boss battle, will be added to solo expeditions, and the amount of runes gained will be increased.

This should make the entire experience easier for solo players, as increased runes will allow them to level up faster. And having the ability to revive once per night boss battle will give players more of a fighting chance in Nightreign’s various fights. From Software says further details about Patch 1.02 will be provided next week.

In the meantime, read Game Informer’s Elden Ring Nightreign review and then check out Game Informer’s beginner tips and tricks for Elden Ring Nightreign. After that, read about how an Elden Ring live-action movie is in the works and is circling Heartstopper’s Kit Connor as the lead.
