Astro Bot Joyful DualSense Limited Edition Preorders Open Tomorrow Morning

by admin September 12, 2025

Astro Bot fans have another chance to get a DualSense Controller themed around the adorable little robot. Preorders for PlayStation’s Astro Bot Joyful Limited Edition DualSense open tomorrow, September 12, at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET. The remixed version of the incredibly popular DualSense launches October 30.

PlayStation hasn’t officially confirmed pricing details, but we’d expect the controller to retail for $85 like other recent Limited Edition DualSense models. Like the original, the Astro Bot Joyful edition will be sold at PlayStation Direct and participating major retailers. In the US, this likely means Amazon, Walmart, Target, Best Buy, and GameStop.

$85 | Releases October 30

As the “Joyful” moniker suggests, the 2025 edition makes one change to the design: Astro’s eyes on the touchpad match his smiling face from the PS5 game. The original edition depicted Astro’s eyes as circles. The updated design matches Astro’s face on the game’s cover art.

Outside of that small, but noticeable alteration, this is the same controller that launched in September 2024.

The white and blue color scheme simply looks fantastic, so it’s not surprising this controller was popular enough to warrant a second edition. It’s arguably the best-looking Limited Edition DualSense yet. It also helps that Astro Bot is one of the best 3D platformers ever made and has a strong argument for best overall PS5 game.

Note: The links below are search results where you can expect to find the controller once retailers create store pages. We will update with direct store pages once available.

Heads up: The original Astro Bot controller sells for around $150 on eBay. Amazon says 50+ people have purchased preowned Astro Bot controllers for $155-$170 in the past month. Though we’d be surprised if the new edition sells out as quickly as the first one–just because many people already have a very similar controller–we wouldn’t count on this remaining in stock for too long.

That said, it’s worth noting that PlayStation’s Ghost of Yotei Limited Edition DualSense Controllers (and PS5 consoles) remain in stock a week after preorders opened. PlayStation Direct has an exclusive edition with black artwork, while the gold edition is available at all major retailers.

For more Astro Bot merch, check out the upcoming Funko Pop vinyl figure. Slated to release January 30, 2026, the Astro Bot Funko Pop is available to preorder for $15 at Amazon.

New Grave Of The Fireflies Limited Edition Steelbook Is Only $18 At Amazon

by admin September 10, 2025

Shout Factory’s newest Studio Ghibli Steelbook Edition is on sale for a new all-time low price at Amazon and Walmart. Released in July for $27, Grave of the Fireflies Limited Edition Steelbook is down to just $17.89. Like other Shout Factory physical edition releases of Studio Ghibli films, Grave of the Fireflies is also available in a standard edition with a slipcover for $16.58 (was $25).

Grave of the Fireflies is just one of many Studio Ghibli films you can buy in a Blu-ray/DVD combo pack with a collectible steelbook case. A bunch of Studio Ghibli Steelbook Editions are on sale for less than $20. You can check out the full list below Grave of the Fireflies.

$17.89 (was $27)

Grave of the Fireflies Limited Edition Steelbook comes with 1080p Blu-ray and DVD versions of the film. For the extras, there’s a deep dive into its storyboards, several deleted scenes that were only produced as storyboards, image galleries, a collection of trailers, an interview with director Isao Takahata, and an interview with the late film critic Roger Ebert.

Unlike many Ghibli movies, the 1989 film directed by Isao Takahata isn’t exactly suitable for the whole family. Rated PG-13 due to blood and gore, this dark journey is set during the final days of World War II in Japan.

$16.58 (was $25)

At the moment, you’re saving less than two bucks by picking up the standard edition with a plastic case and cardboard sleeve. Outside of the packaging, this edition is the exact same as the Steelbook Edition.

While films produced by Studio Ghibli regularly focus on fantasy and contain environmentalism themes, Grave of the Fireflies is one of the rare exceptions here as it is based on the personal accounts of World War II survivor Akiyuka Nosaka. Grave of the Fireflies centers around 14-year-old Seita and and his four-year-old sister Setsuko, war orphans struggling to survive in the Japanese countryside food shortages, abusive relatives, and bombing raids by the Allied forces.

The film pulls no punches with its subject matter, but it’s still an all-time animated classic with a strong message at its core and fleeting moments of happiness during this bleak story. Just be prepared for an emotional rollercoaster with this movie.

Grave of the Fireflies’ case design looks more like last year’s The Boy and the Heron Steelbook release than the earlier releases in the Studio Ghibli Steelbook series. Grave of the Fireflies previously released on Blu-ray in 2012 with a Steelbook Edition with a singular primary background color. Prior editions are out of print.

Studio Ghibli Steelbook Blu-rays

For a more whimsical, lighter adventure, you might want to look at Studio Ghibli’s other movies, especially the ones directed by Hayao Miyazaki. You can’t go wrong with greatest hits like Spirited Away or Princess Mononoke–which are beautifully animated and have timeless stories to tell–while other movies like Howl’s Moving Castle and Kiki’s Delivery Service are also fan favorites. Many of the Studio Ghibli Steelbook Editions are on sale for excellent prices as low as $16.19. We’ve listed all of the in-stock options below in alphabetical order.

The list above includes the majority of Studio Ghibli’s movie catalog, but some of the legendary Japanese studio’s animated films aren’t available with steelbook cases. To complete your collection, check out this Studio Ghibli standard Blu-ray edition hub we created on Amazon for the remaining films. The hub also includes Lupin the 3rd: The Castle of Cagliostro, the only film Hayao Miyazaki directed before founding Studio Ghibli.

Spirited Away and Kiki’s Delivery Service Film Comics – All-in-One Editions

For fans of Studio Ghibli’s signature art style, you might also want to grab the recently published All-in-One Edition hardcover omnibuses published by Viz Media. These are essentially collections of screenshots and dialogue/text from each movie, allowing fans to experience the story in a different medium. Plus, you get to admire the lovely artwork without needing to pause your TV.

Ponyo’s All-in-One Edition just released on July 22, and preorders for Princess Mononoke’s omnibus are live now.

Meanwhile, Howl’s Moving Castle fans should also check out the new Deluxe Limited Edition of Diana Wynne Jones’ novel, which served as the basis for the Miyazaki-directed film adaptation. The World of Howl Trilogy is also getting a new box set in early October.

Gwent: The Witcher Card Game Physical Edition Is Now Available At Amazon

Gwent: The Witcher Card Game Physical Edition Is Now Available At Amazon

by admin September 7, 2025

The Witcher fans can now play Gwent with real cards thanks to the official physical adaptation. Revealed last December, Gwent: The Legendary Card Game starts shipping this month, and Amazon is now taking orders for $45. The complete set features five factions, over 400 cards with new artwork, and six game modes for 1-5 players.

Gwent: The Legendary Card Game was designed by No Loading Games and published by Hachette Boardgames. Amazon’s store page for Gwent just popped up this month. Though not marked as a preorder, the delivery estimate of three to four weeks suggests Amazon still needs a few weeks to get its inventory situation sorted. Gwent is sold by the game’s publisher but will ship from Amazon for free.

$45 | Supports 1-5 Players

Unlike many card games–including the digital version of Gwent–this is a one-off release. No Loading has no plans to release expansions or booster packs, which is why it’s advertised as the “complete set.”

Gwent’s physical edition has five factions: Northern Realms, Scoia’tael, Monsters, Skellige, and Nilfgaard. Players can build their faction decks from a pool of 436 cards, each of which has new artwork inspired by CD Projekt Red’s hit series.

Along with an impressive number of cards to pick from when building your deck, you can play six different variants of Gwent with the physical edition. Newcomers can use pre-built decks to learn the ropes in Initiation Mode. Four players can split into teams for 2v2 matches. Three to five players can battle in Free-for-All. If you want to test the deck you built or don’t have anyone to battle, Solo Challenge Mode is a single-player variant.

Advanced Mode and Tournament Format utilize Gwent’s conventional 1v1 set. Advanced Mode tasks you with making your deck from scratch, and Tournament Format uses Gwent’s traditional competition rules. A typical round of Gwent is around takes 20 minutes.

What’s in the box?

  • 436 Faction Cards (5 Factions)
  • 10 Aid Cards
  • 4 Tokens
  • 4 Gem Tokens
  • Score Tracking Board
  • Paper Game Board
  • 2 Rulebooks

Gwent: The Legendary Card Game

Gwent has been playable as a digital card game for a decade at this point. It first appeared as a minigame in The Witcher 3. The minigame’s immense popularity led CD Projekt Red to release a standalone version in 2018. Though official support ended in October 2023, Gwent remains playable today on consoles, PC, and mobile devices. Additionally, the Gwent community is keeping the digital version fresh with fan-made content updates and mods.

Gwent has technically been available in physical format before. Decks of cards were offered for a limited time to support the launch of The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine. That said, the new retail edition includes the first full set of Gwent cards.

The Witcher Board Games

The Witcher video game series has served as the inspiration for multiple board games over the past few years, including the competitive strategy game called Old World. More recently, The Witcher joined the strategy fighting game series Unmatched.

The card game isn’t the only exciting release for The Witcher franchise this month. The ninth novel in Andrzej Sapkowski’s original book series will be published in English on September 30. The Witcher: Crossroads of Ravens is a prequel novel that explores Geralt’s backstory before he became the character we know today. You can preorder a hardcover copy of Crossroads of Ravens for $23.49 (was $30) at Amazon.

Just like the mainline games, Gwent was inspired by a game mentioned in Sapkowski’s novels called Gwint. If you haven’t read Sapkowski’s other Witcher novels and story collections, you can get the first seven by purchasing the two box sets below:

Creepshow Complete Series Collector’s Edition Comes With CRT TV Display Box

by admin September 4, 2025

Fans of the horror-comedy anthology franchise Creepshow now have two cool Blu-ray releases to look forward to this fall. Arrow Video’s upcoming 4K restoration of Creepshow 2 has been available to preorder since July, but now you can also reserve a unique Blu-ray box set collecting all four seasons of Shudder’s recent anthology series. Creepshow: Complete Series Collector’s Edition is available to preorder for $100 at Walmart and Amazon ahead of its November 11 release.

Just like Creepshow 2’s Limited Edition, the TV series collection leans into the franchise’s roots and inspirations with a CRT TV display box containing comic book-inspired disc cases. It looks like an awesome collectible for Creepshow fans.

Creepshow: Complete Series (Blu-ray)

Neither retailer has a full product description for the box set, so we’re not entirely sure what’s going on with the miniature CRT TV in the image above. But with the TV display showing The Creep and the Creepshow logo with a red background, it seems like you can flip between screens. Perhaps with the dial on the front? That said, we wouldn’t be surprised if those are removable cards that you slide into place. Turning the dial to change channels might be wishful thinking. Each of the four seasons has its own case modeled after the in-universe Creepshow comics and Stephen King’s original graphic novel.

The box set also comes with a comic book based on “Skeletons in the Closet,” which is one of the vignettes in Season 3, Episode 2. Creepshow 2’s Limited Edition 4K Blu-ray also includes a physical comic book, but only if you snag a copy from the first printing before it sells out. The comic is an adaptation of an unpublished Stephen King story that was cut from the 1987 film. Creepshow 2 Limited Edition releases September 30 for $50. While you wait for both Creepshow releases, check out the original 1982 anthology’s 4K Steelbook Edition for only $27.79 (was $40) at Amazon.

If you love Creepshow, you’ve come to the right place. Along with details on the two upcoming releases, we put together lists of Creepshow Blu-rays, making-of books, and the ongoing comic book anthology series. So make sure to creep farther down for some great Creepshow deals–unless you’d rather look for yourself, in which case you can check out these Amazon hubs we created: Creepshow Blu-rays | Creepshow books and comics.

$100 | Releases November 11

Creepshow debuted on Shudder in 2019 and quickly became one of the horror streamer’s marquee original series. It was undoubtedly a huge subscription seller for Shudder, especially Season 1 was the best take on the franchise since the original movie.

The anthology series ran for four seasons and 25 episodes, including two TV specials, before ending in 2023. Episodes of Creepshow include a pair of distinct vignettes, roughly 20-25 minutes each.

Franchise creators Stephen King and George A. Romero weren’t involved with the production, but a few episodes are based on King’s short stories, including the show’s very first vignette “Gray Matter,” adapted from a story in King’s excellent collection Night Shift. The 2020 Halloween special adapted “Survivor Type” from Skeleton Crew. The back half of the special was based on “Twittering from the Circus of the Dead” from the story collection Full Throttle by Joe Hill, who also happens to be King’s eldest son.

The 9-disc box set has a total runtime of roughly 18 hours. All 23 episodes and the two specials are displayed in 1080p resolution and support DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1. Bonus features include cast and crew interviews, behind-the-scenes featurettes, and photo galleries.

If you’re interested in the behind-the-scenes content, you should also check out Shudder’s Creepshow: From Script to Scream, a 240-page coffee-table book with a foreword by Stephen King.

$50 | Releases September 30

Creepshow 2’s Limited Edition is a native 4K restoration from the original camera negative with HDR (Dolby Vision and HDR10) and three audio formats: 5.1 DTS-HD, stereo, and lossless monaural.

Arrow Video originally created a 2K restoration that released as Creepshow 2: Special Edition back in 2016 on 1080p Blu-ray. The on-disc special features for the 4K release largely mirror the Special Edition. The reversible sleeve and cover art by Mike Saputo matches the 2016 release, too.

Just like the first printing of the 1080p Blu-ray, the 4K release includes two limited-edition booklets. These are no longer included with the standard Blu-ray and were limited to 3,000 units, but now you have another chance. For reference, the first printing has a red sleeve, but after it sells out, it’ll likely switch to a blue sleeve like the Blu-ray edition.

Most notably, you’ll get a booklet with the comic adaptation of “Pinfall,” one of the two stories that were cut from the film. The story was written by Stephen King and adapted into a script by George Romero. Jason Mayoh adapted the story into a comic for the Blu-ray release in 2016. Along with the comic booklet, you’ll get an illustrated booklet with commentary from Michael Blyth.

“Pinfall” has never been published as a short story or filmed, so this is the only way to experience one of Stephen King’s unpublished stories.

Creepshow 2 4K Limited Edition Bonuses

  • “Pinfall” comic booklet (adaptation of unpublished King story)
  • Illustrated booklet with commentary on the film
  • Collector’s sleeve with original artwork and reversible cover art
  • Featurettes, audio commentaries, and interviews

A full list of on-disc special features can be found at the end of this article. For a deep dive on the sequel, check out The Making of Creepshow 2, a 320-page account of the film’s production based on production documents and author Lee Karr’s conversations with cast and crew.

$28 (was $40)

Though you can watch Creepshow 2 without watching the original, the 1982 anthology is a more well-rounded collection of horror-comedy stories, so it doesn’t really make sense to skip it. Plus, it’s already available on 4K Blu-ray. A Collector’s Edition released in 2023, and the awesome Steelbook Edition shown above arrived just in time for Halloween last year. The Limited Edition Steelbook is on sale for $27.89 (was $40), only two bucks more than the Collector’s Edition.

Both editions include 4K Blu-ray and standard 1080p Blu-rays and the same special features. The film was remastered in 4K using the original camera negatives and supports HDR (Dolby Vision and HDR10), Dolby Atmos audio, and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 and 2.0. Special features include audio commentary with George Romero, a roundtable on the making of the anthology, and a whole bunch more. You can check out the full list at the bottom of this article.

Creepshow 2 Limited Edition (Arrow Video)

Creepshow and its numerous follow-ups blend horror and comedy while paying homage to classic comics like Tales from the Crypt and The Haunt of Fear. Directed by George Romero, the 1982 original is an anthology film with five distinct vignettes. Stories include a murdered man rising from the dead, a mysterious meteor that lands on a remote farm, and a cockroach army that’s hunting a man with Entomophobia.

Stephen King made his screenwriting debut with Creepshow, and two of the five tales were adapted from his short fiction. Creepshow wears its comic book influences on its sleeve, and King adapted the film into a graphic novel the same year the film premiered.

Creepshow 2’s screenplay was written by Romero and directed by the original film’s cinematographer Michael Gornick. Though originally planned to mirror its predecessor with five vignettes, only three made it into the movie: “Old Chief Wood’nhead,” “The Raft,” and “The Hitch-hiker.” All three are based on King’s short stories, but “The Raft” is the only one that has been published and collected in the author’s heralded collection Skeleton Crew.

“Cat from Hell,” the other King story that was cut from Creepshow 2, was included in Tales from the Darkside: The Movie in 1990. The spin-off film was based on a TV series created by Romero in 1983. Given the timing, it should come as no surprise that Tales from the Darkside–also a horror-comedy anthology–existed because of Creepshow’s unexpected box office success. Tales from the Darkside: The Complete Series is available on DVD for $28.

Creepshow franchise 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray releases

Beyond the collectible editions, the first two Creepshow anthologies are available for around 10 bucks on standard Blu-ray. The Creepshow franchise technically has three film anthologies, but the 2006 straight-to-home-video Creepshow 3 is one that many fans want to forget exists at all (it’s quite bad). If you want to be reminded of it, a region-free Blu-ray edition of Creepshow 3 is $22 at Walmart. All three films are collected in a DVD box set for $25.

Another box set option is the King of Horror 8-Film Collection on Blu-ray or DVD. This one only includes the first Creepshow movie, but you’ll also get The Shining, Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, the 1990 It miniseries, and more.

Creepshow Movies

All four seasons of Shudder’s anthology series are already available on Blu-ray and DVD. The first season is currently quite pricey on Blu-ray, but Seasons 2-4 are around $15 each.

Tales from the Darkside / Tales from the Crypt

If you like the horror-comedy anthology structure, you should definitely check out Tales from the Darkside and Tales from the Crypt.

Creepshow by Stephen King (1982) | Creepshow Deluxe Edition Book One (2024)

Shudder’s series also led to the revival of Creepshow in print. Skybound and Image Comics have published 19 Creepshow comics since 2022, and 15 of them have been collected in paperback volumes. Each volume has five stories written and illustrated by a rotating group of big names in the industry, including Garth Ennis and Joe Hill. As a child, Hill appeared in the prologue and epilogue of the original Creepshow film, and over 40 years later he wrote an official Creepshow comic called Joe Hill’s Wolverton Station.

The first issue in Volume 4 will be published September 17. If you want to catch up on the anthology series, the first three volumes are available in trade paperback for $15 (or less) each. Volume 3 was published in April, and Volume 4’s paperback edition is expected to release next March. Last holiday season, Image Comics published a hardcover Deluxe Edition compiling the first two volumes. Amazon has Creepshow Deluxe Edition for $21 (was $40), which is almost exactly the same price as the two paperback editions combined.

Joe Hill’s Creepshow comic and three others are one-shots that aren’t included in the collected volumes, but you can buy digital editions for Kindle for a couple bucks each. All 19 Creepshow comics released so far can be purchased as a digital bundle for $40. But Before reading the new series, we’d highly recommend Stephen King’s original graphic novel, which is available in paperback for only $15 (was $20) at Amazon.

First Light Arrives March 2026 With $300 Golden Gun Edition

by admin September 4, 2025

007: First Light, the next game from the development studio behind Hitman, is launching on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2, and PC in March 2026, as revealed during Sony’s latest State of Play.

On September 3, as previously announced, Sony and IO Interactive showed off over 30 minutes of 007: First Light, giving us our first real look at gameplay following some teasers and trailers. And at the end of the showcase—which featured Bond sneaking around, killing people, driving various vehicles, and causing mayhem—IOI revealed that First Light is launching on March 27, 2026 on all platforms.

Here’s a new gameplay trailer of Bond in action:

Of course, because in the year 2025, all games must have expensive pre-order versions and early access bonuses, if you pre-order any version of the game digitally, you get to play 24 hours “early.” What is more shocking is the $300 special collector’s edition of 007: First Light. This pricey package includes a physical copy of the game, some digital goodies, and a replica Golden Gun, as well as gold bullets and a stand to display them with. Seems a bit odd to include such a classic Bond prop in a game that, seemingly, has nothing to do with that era of the franchise, but hey, what do I know?

First announced back in 2020, 007: First Light is the long-awaited next game from IO Interactive, and it tells the tale of a younger James Bond as he completes some of his first missions. It’s been a long five-year wait for fans of Hitman who are hoping that First Light will play a lot like Agent 47’s franchise. In today’s State of Play reveal, it did indeed seem like this is very much a Hitman-style game, with multiple options for infiltrating areas and a big focus on stealth and problem-solving. However, the gameplay in the presentation also had moments that were marred by some nasty performance dips and a lot of motion blur. Hopefully, 007: First Light looks better and runs well when it arrives on Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on March 27, 2026.

007: First Light gets a March 2026 release date and a $300 collector’s edition

by admin September 3, 2025

As part of Sony’s big Bond-themed PlayStation State of Play, developer IO Interactive has revealed 007: First Light will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2, and PC on 27th March next year. Additionally, the studio has unveiled a collector’s edition with a price tag likely to leave you at least slightly shaken if not completely stirred.

007: First Light was announced all the way back in 2021, under the name Project 007, but it wasn’t until earlier this year that IO began discussing the game in earnest. The gist is that First Light serves as an origin story for IO’s Bond – part of what’s hoped to be a trilogy – charting the iconic spy’s early days as a “young, resourceful, and sometimes reckless new recruit”. It’s promising stealthy espionage, daredevil action set-pieces, cool spy gadgets, and seemingly everything else you might expect from a Bond game.

IO showed off some of that in more detail during Sony’s latest PlayStation State of Play showcase, and you can read more about 007: First Light’s gameplay fundamentals elsewhere on Eurogamer. But perhaps the biggest news of the evening was a confirmed release date. We already knew it was coming next year, but IO has now firmed that up into a 27th March launch. Additionally, it’s also announced a bunch of different editions as pre-orders get underway.

007: First Light gameplay reveal.Watch on YouTube

Anyone that pre-orders 007: First Light’s £59.99/€69.99/$69.99 USD Standard digital edition – which can be purchased for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2, and PC (via Steam and the Epic Games Store) – will be upgraded to the Deluxe Edition at no extra cost. This gets you the game itself, 24 hours of early access, and a Deluxe Upgrade cosmetics bundle featuring four exclusive outfit skins, one new weapon skin, and the Gleaming pack. After launch, the Deluxe Edition will cost £69.99/€79.99/$79.99 USD.

There’s also a physical release – known as the Specialist edition – featuring all the above plus the Classic Tuxedo Skin, for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2, and PC. And for the big spenders out there, IO is releasing a limited edition Legacy variant. This physical-only release for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC costs a not-insignificant £259.99/€299.99/$299.99 USD and includes everything featured in other editions, plus a couple of exclusive weapon and outfit skins, a Golden Gun figurine with a stand and secret compartment, a certificate of authenticity, and a magnetic steel case. Oh, and a great big box.

Whether IO Interactive can pull off its ambitious Bond origin story remains to be seen, but Eurogamer’s Alex Donaldson previously opined that signs are good. “In one trailer, [the Hitman studio] has totally proven it ‘gets’ Bond,” he wrote, “and it’s all about the salivating consumerism.”

This is a news-in-brief story. This is part of our vision to bring you all the big news as part of a daily live report.

A Bretonnian knight faces off against a Tomb King on the cover of Blood Bowl's third season edition

Blood Bowl’s getting a new edition with teams for Bretonnians and Tomb Kings in the box

by admin September 3, 2025

Blood Bowl Third Season Edition Revealed | Warhammer – YouTube

Watch On

Blood Bowl’s tabletop incarnation last had its rules updated in 2020 with the “second season edition” and now Games Workshop has announced a third season is coming later this year. They’re at pains to let everyone know we won’t have to relearn all the rules, however, saying “The core game is exactly the same: the pitch hasn’t magically grown any new squares, there are no new stats, and everything should be very familiar.”

That said, changes have been made. The rules penalty for Wildly Inaccurate Passes are gone (which might encourage more desperate hail mary throws), the kick-off table’s been revised, and small players who survive being picked up and thrown down the pitch by bigger players will now earn a star player point where previously only the thrower did.

More significantly, there’s a whole new action that should let clumsy teams reliably pick up the ball. It’s called Secure the Ball and, while it ends your turn, it lets you grab the pigskin on a roll of 2+ no matter what your Agility is. You can only Secure the Ball if there are no opponents standing within two spaces of it, and “Big Guys and certain other powerful players aren’t able to perform it at all,” but it should give orcs a chance to actually try the running game if they feel like taking a break from winning games by punching their opponents to death.

A new edition of a Games Workshop game means a new boxed set, and in this case it comes with two new teams. The Tomb Kings return after being absent for a while, while the Bretonnians are a brand new contender. (Warhammer’s fantasy French folk did briefly have a team popularized in the videogame Blood Bowl 2, but when they made it to the tabletop officially they were reskinned as Imperial Nobility, so this will be a fresh interpretation of them.) The Bretonnians in particular are some lovely miniatures, with a real Monty Python goofiness to their knights and peasants.

What does this mean for the videogame Blood Bowl 3? Developers Cyanide say it’ll be updated to reflect the changes, though not until 2026.
