Lunar Remastered Collection Physical Edition Restocked At Amazon

Lunar Remastered Collection’s physical edition is back in stock for Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One. The physical edition is exclusive to Amazon in the US and has been hard to secure since the two-game collection became available to purchase on launch day (April 18). The Nintendo Switch version in particular tends to sell out quicker than the PS4 and Xbox One versions. Lunar Remastered Collection’s physical edition retails for $55, five bucks more than the digital edition for consoles and PC.

The Lunar Remastered Collection includes enhanced versions of Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete and its sequel, Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Complete.

Both games feature retouched graphics, enhanced audio, new English localizations, and gameplay tweaks like optional battle speed increases to make the classic RPGs more approachable.

The Amazon-exclusive physical editions have reversible cover art featuring both Lunar and Lunar 2 by series illustrator and anime artist Toshiyuki Kubooka.

A digital version of the collection is also available for consoles and PC via Steam.

This collection offers a great way to experience two of the most important RPGs from the 16-bit and 32-bit console eras. The original Lunar: Silver Star Story is considered a landmark title in the Japanese RPG lineage and was one of the first console RPGs to feature voice acting, animated cutscenes, and CD-quality music thanks to its original platform, the Sega CD. It was later remade for PS1 and Sega Saturn as Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete, which is the version included in the Lunar Remastered Collection. Its sequel, Lunar 2: Eternal Blue, also launched on PS1 and Saturn and built upon the gameplay and story presentation of the first game, featuring even more voiced dialogue and a larger cast.

Voice acting, cutscenes, and high-quality soundtracks are now common elements of video games, they were groundbreaking at the time–though the voice performances are now notorious for their uneven quality. However, the new Remastered Collection includes all-new English voice acting for both games–though the scripts for both remasters are based on the original localizations. Lunar Remastered Collection also includes the option to play with Japanese voice acting, and you can also swap between the new enhanced visuals or the PS1 visuals for both games.

Connections: Sports Edition is out of beta now, making its debut on Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 9. That’s a sign that the game has earned enough loyal players that The Athletic, the subscription-based sports journalism site owned by the Times, will continue to publish it. It doesn’t show up in the NYT Games app but now appears in The Athletic’s own app. Or you can continue to play it free online.

Toughest Connections: Sports Edition categories

The Connections: Sports Edition puzzle can be tough, but it really depends on which sports you know the most about. My husband aces anything having to do with Formula 1, my best friend is a hockey buff, and I can answer any question about Minnesota teams.

That said, it’s hard to pick the toughest Connections categories, but here are some I found exceptionally mind-blowing recently.

On sale for $130–a savings of $100–this PlayStation Direct-exclusive edition comes with a 19-inch statue of Venom alongside Peter and Miles, a steelbook case, and the $80 Digital Deluxe Edition. You could put some of cash you’re saving toward Dark Horse’s Deluxe Limited Edition Spider-Man 2 Art Book, which is on sale for nearly 50% off at Amazon.

Let’s take a closer look at the Spider-Man deals in PlayStation’s Days of Play 2025 sale.

$130 (was $230)

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’s Collector’s Edition comes with a 19-inch statue featuring both Spider-Men–Peter Parker and Miles Morales–in a battle with a very large, very angry Venom.

The statue is the big selling point here, but you’ll also get an exclusive steelbook case. Unfortunately, the Collector’s Edition does not include the physical edition of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Instead, you’ll find a voucher for the Digital Deluxe Edition ($80 value). This edition comes with 10 bonus suits, five for Peter, five for Miles.

The Collector’s Edition was previously featured in PlayStation’s 2024 Holiday Sale, but it was priced at $150. Once this edition sells out, it won’t be coming back. It’s a bit surprising that it didn’t disappear over the holidays, but perhaps the $130 price point will make it happen.

And if you really want a disc to store in your steelbook case, you could use a portion of the money you’re saving here to buy the discounted standard edition detailed below.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 was one of the biggest games of 2023, and it often still sells for its full $70 price.

Insomniac Games built on the formula from Marvel’s Spider-Man and Miles Morales, delivering the biggest and most dynamic open-world adventure starring Spider-Man yet. Well, Spider-Men, as the sequel features both Peter Parker and Miles Morales as playable characters. It’s a blast to swing around New York City as either Spider-Man, and each character’s unique combat abilities make switching back and forth between them a consistently satisfying experience.

Miles Morales bridges the gap between the two numbered entries in the series. It’s a smaller-scale experience that feels more like a meaty expansion than a brand-new game.

New players will want to opt for the Ultimate Edition, a value pack that includes Miles Morales and Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, a great enhanced version of the 2018 PS4 exclusive.

Hellblade 2 physical edition reportedly coming to PS5, Xbox Series X

It looks like Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 will be getting a physical release across PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.

Earlier this week, the ESRB posted about a release for Ninja Theory’s sequel across Xbox Series and Playstation 5. This time, though, Microsoft was not listed as the game’s publisher, but Limited Run Games was instead.

Limited Run Games is known for publishing physical editions of games which may otherwise remain only available to purchase digitally. So, while an official announcement hasn’t been made, this rating all but confirms the physical editions’ existence.

In addition to the above releases for Hellblade 2 on PS5 and Xbox Series X, a new Switch listing for the original Hellblade game has also been added to ESRB, again with Limited Run Games listed as publisher. This suggests Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice will also be getting a physical Switch version. The first Hellblade game originally arrived on Nintendo’s platform digitally back in 2019.

Earlier this month, Ninja Theory announced Hellblade 2 was set for a PS5 release this summer, in a package known as Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 Enhanced Edition. This release will include new features and haptic feedback, and also be optimised for the PS5 Pro. A free update will be coming to the PC and Xbox versions of the game.

Unlike its predecessor, Hellblade 2 did not initially release on PlayStation, as Ninja Theory was acquired by Xbox maker Microsoft in 2018.

“We have such incredible fans of Ninja Theory on PlayStation going all the way back to the days of Heavenly Sword,” studio head Dom Matthews said at the time of the game’s PS5 announcement. “And we’re so pleased that we can welcome PlayStation fans back to Senua’s story.”

We were rather taken with Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 on its debut last year, with Johnny Chiodini calling it a “triumphant return to a challenging story” in their review. “Hellblade 2 continues Senua’s story with grace, confidence, surprising brutality and thundering conviction,” reads Eurogamer’s five star Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 review.

The Hellblade sequel went on to become the most-nominated game at this year’s BAFTA Game Awards, ultimately winning the award for Technical Achievement.

Franck Muller Unveils Limited Edition Solana Watch

If you’ve ever wanted to have your Solana wallet on your wrist while flexing your wealth, Swiss watchmaker Franck Muller is making that a reality.

The watch market is stepping into the Web3 ecosystem with a Solana-inspired, limited-edition series of watches that contain an embedded unique QR code to directly link to the user’s Solana address.

The company’s Solana-inspired watch collection is limited to 1,111 units that will set buyers back 20,000 Swiss francs (around $24,300).

While the watches feature a unique design that could appeal to Solana ecosystem participants, their launch comes at a time when, unfortunately, flaunting crypto-related wealth is becoming risky.

The cryptocurrency industry has seen dozens of physical attacks just this year, with a notable case seeing the daughter and grandson of Pierre Noizat, CEO of crypto platform Paymium, being targeted in a daytime attempted kidnapping. The attack was filmed and shared on social media.

While that kidnapping attempt failed, an earlier one in the same city saw the father of a crypto millionaire get abducted. Police managed to rescue the man, but not before his finger was severed.

Earlier this year, the co-founder of hardware wallet maker Ledger, David Balland, along with his wife, was abducted from his home and saw similar treatment. The couple was later rescued by authorities, and a ransom that had been paid out was seized.

There have been many other similar attacks in recent months.

Franck Muller is pitching the collection as a “phygital” (physical-digital) symbol of identity and ownership in the crypto age. While the watch is certainly a piece of crypto mythos, it may be a collectible that investors may not want to show off.

Dawn of War Definitive Edition – a modern version of the best Warhammer strategy game ever made – has just been announced

This is not a drill, check on the closest 30+ year old Warhammer fan you know. Dawn of War Definitive Edition has just been revealed during the Warhammer Skulls event! A modern remaster of the legendary RTS game, it’ll come with all expansions packaged together in a shiny new package, and is set to release later this year.

The DOW Definitive Edition will feature 4K support, upscaled textures, new models, and various drastic graphical improvements. The camera has been improved, which is a much-needed change, plus the UI and HUD have been overhailed to support widescreen setups. But perhaps the coolest feature of all is the fact that the 20 years history of mods made for the original Dawn of War will still work with the Definitive Edition, which is a brilliant touch.

CEO of Relic Justin Dowdeswell provided the following quote in an accompanying press release, “The Definitive Edition celebrates the original Dawn of War and preserves the legacy of this landmark Warhammer 40,000 title for years to come, Warhammer 40,000 is more popular than ever, and we want new players to experience where the classic Dawn of War franchise began, while providing a platform for our long-time fans to relive it in its entirety.”

This is likely the biggest reveal of the Warhammer Skulls event for many of the old heads watching, as the original Dawn of War is the crowning achievement of the old era of Warhammer games. Bringing it back now, when the IP is getting a surge of life and love, cements the time we’re living in right now as the golden age of Warhammer games. It’s also good to hear know that none of the voice lines or models will be changed aside from technical improvements, which means we should still be able to damn the Space Marines and their metal boxes.

After Space Marine 2 released to a supurb level of consumer and critical acclaim, it should be no shocker that the Space Marine Master Crafted Edition has just been announced during the Warhammer Skulls event.

This game is coming from SEGA and Sneakybox, the latter responsible for a sweep of modern additions like 4K resolution, updated controls, improved models and enhanced audio. In the press release sent out alongside this announcement, Sneaky Box producer Vaidas Mikelskas states it is more of “a thoughtful restoration” than a technical upgrade.

This modern recreation of the cult classic comes with all the original modes, including the campaign and PvE / PvP multiplayer. What’s particularly interesting with this new and improved version of the game is that the Orks are getting a special touch up. The faction has new models and over 100 new voice lines, which sounds great of course, granted Warboss Grimskull keeps all his fantastic quips.

Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine is one of those games that has carved a place in people’s hearts for years, and given that we’re now in a real golden age of both Space Marine love and Warhammer 40K passion in general, in makes sense we’d get a touched-up version of the classic on modern platforms. Plus, you won’t have to pay full price for it either! The game will be sold for €39.99 or your regional equivilent, or downloadable on Game Pass for the subscription fee.

Ace Ventura Limited Edition 4K Steelbook Preorders Restocked At Amazon

If you weren’t a regular moviegoer in 1994, then it must have been a confusing year, thanks to everyone around you peppering their speech with “Alriiiiiiighty then” catchphrases. Jim Carrey’s breakout year at the box office started with Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, and at long last, that comedy classic is releasing on 4K Blu-ray on July 29. The Limited Edition Steelbook version is available to preorder for $33 at Walmart or $36 at Amazon.

Amazon has sold out of preorders once already (at full price), but if it remains in stock this time, we’d expect the retailer to match Walmart’s price prior to launch. That said, it’s also possible that the price-matching will go the other way, and Walmart increases its price to $36.

The 4K Blu-ray edition of Ace Ventura: Pet Detective was created using the original 35mm camera negative. It supports Dolby Vision with HDR10 and DTS-HD 5.1 Surround Sound. There aren’t any new bonus features, but the audio commentary with director Tom Shadyac is included on both the 4K Blu-ray disc and remastered 1080p Blu-ray disc. The latter should offer better visual and audio quality than the original Blu-ray release since it is based on the 4K transfer. The Blu-ray disc also has the theatrical trailer.

The original 1997 laserdisc release of Pet Detective had three episodes of the Ace Ventura animated series, but unfortunately those episodes have never been included with subsequent Blu-ray releases.

The steelbook case features original artwork of Ventura’s signature hairstyle and a pigeon worth $25,000 resting on Jim Carrey’s head.

Ace Ventura: Pet Detective is also getting a standard edition 4K Blu-ray release on the same day. Though it’s officially called a “Collector’s Edition,” make no mistake that the collectible version is the aforementioned Steelbook Edition. This edition includes a standard plastic case and cardboard sleeve with one of the promotional images for the theatrical release.

At the time of writing on May 21, this edition is actually more expensive than the Limited Edition Steelbook at both retailers.

Ace Ventura was one of the biggest comedy films of the mid-1990s, thanks mostly to Jim Carrey’s wild performance as the titular pet detective. While the movie does have some content that is very dated when viewed through a modern lens, it’s still a laugh riot thanks to the constant flow of one-liners and a solid mystery at its core. A sequel would arrive a few years later and it saw Ventura travel to Africa–much to the relief of several dozen Buddhist monks–but this one hasn’t received a 4K Blu-ray release yet. You can find it on Blu-ray, or as part of an Ace Ventura Blu-ray double feature.

To complete the set, you can also pick up Ace Ventura: Pet Detective Jr. on DVD. We’re not saying you should avoid it, but this prequel can induce a level of cringe so bad that it generates its own gravity. It’s a soulless cash-grab at best, and if you watch it, you might need to buy a new Blu-ray player because you’ll likely fling yours through the nearest window after watching just a few minutes of this movie.

In related Jim Carrey news, you can pick up Sonic the Hedgehog 3 on 4K Blu-ray right now. The threequel saw Carrey star once again as Dr. Ivo Robotnik and his character’s grandfather, Gerald Robotnik.

There are two different steelbook case designs to choose from: Sonic and an Amazon-exclusive Shadow variant. You can complete the Carrey trilogy with Sonic the Hedgehog Bonus Stage Steelbook Edition for $28.30 (was $30.46) and the Sonic 2 Steelbook Edition for $18.45 (was $29).
