Amazon Restocks The New Legend Of Zelda Collector’s Edition Chess Set

by admin June 12, 2025

After selling out within hours earlier this month, Amazon has restocked the new Legend of Zelda Collector’s Chess Set. Priced at $45 and officially licensed by Nintendo, this new edition features gold and black figurines based on Hyrule’s biggest heroes and villains. We wouldn’t be surprised to see this sell out fast again.

$45

The Legend of Zelda-themed chess pits Link, Zelda, and their allies against Ganondorf and various evildoers who threaten the kingdom the Hyrule. Fittingly, Link and Ganondorf serve as the king pieces, while Zelda and Twinrova are the queens.

The main heroes of Hyrule are accompanied by four supporting characters who have appeared in numerous games, including Ocarina of Time: Navi, Impa, Darunia, and Link’s trusty steed Epona.

On the villainous side, Ganondorf is joined by the twin Gerudo witches known as Twinrova, Iron Knuckles from Zelda II, Phantoms from Spirit Tracks and Phantom Hourglass, and series regulars Armos and Deku Scrubs.

The heroes are presented as miniature gold figurines, while the villains are the black pieces. All of the pieces have a weathered, rusty finish that looks great.

Here’s the full list of what’s included in the new Legend of Zelda Chess Set.

The Legend of Zelda Chess Set

  • Legend of Zelda Chess Board
  • 16 Hero Gold Chess Pieces
    • Link (King)
    • Zelda (Queen)
    • 2x Impa (Bishops)
    • 2x Epona (Knights)
    • 2x Darunia (Rooks)
    • 8x Navi (Pawns)
  • 16 Villain Black Chess Pieces
    • Ganondorf (King)
    • Twinrova (Queen)
    • 2x Iron Knuckles (Bishops)
    • 2x Phantoms (Knights)
    • 2x Armos (Rooks)
    • 8x Deku Scrubs (Pawns)

This isn’t the first time The Legend of Zelda has received a chess set. GameStop had an exclusive The Legend of Zelda Collector’s Edition Chess Set that routinely sells for high prices on reseller markets these days.

$35 (was $40)

Though it’s not a brand-new release, it’s worth shouting out the awesome Super Mario Chess Set. This one comes with 32 custom-sculpted and hand-painted figures depicting modern character models of Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Yoshi, Bowser, Bowser Jr., and more. Plus, it’s available for only $35 at Amazon and Target.

On the frontlines, the pawns are presented as gold coins for the Mushroom Kingdom side, while Bowser’s disposable units are Koopa Shells.

Here’s the full breakdown of the characters and pieces in Super Mario Chess:

Super Mario Chess Set:

  • Super Mario Chess Board
  • 16 Hero Figurines
    • Mario (King)
    • Luigi (Queen)
    • Peach (Bishop)
    • Daisy (Bishop)
    • 2x Yoshi (Knights)
    • 2x Toad (Rooks)
    • 8x Coin (Pawns)
  • 16 Villain Figurines
    • Bowser (King)
    • Bowser Jr. (Queen)
    • 2x Magikoopa (Bishops)
    • 2x Birdo (Knights)
    • 2x Goomba (Rooks)
    • 8x Green Shell (Pawns)

The Legend of Zelda Collector’s Edition Chess Set

The Op Games has also made various editions of The Legend of Zelda Monopoly over the years. Unfortunately, much like the original Zelda chess set, The Legend of Zelda Monopoly is out of print and tends to sell for high prices. At the moment, Monopoly: The Legend of Zelda Collector’s Edition is listed for $110 at Amazon via Toynk Toys (fulfilled by Amazon). The game pieces in this version are all based on iconic weapons and symbols, like Link’s shield, the Ocarina of Time, and the Triforce.

For more themed chess sets based on popular gaming and entertainment franchises, The Noble Collection has a variety of impressive options, including The Lord of the Rings Chess Set for $45. You can choose to command the armies of good with pieces led by Galadriel, Aragorn, Frodo, and Gandalf the Grey, or if you’re feeling evil, you can unleash the forces of Sauron, who is allied with Gollum, the Nazgul, and Saruman on the chessboard. In addition to the sculpted pieces, this set also comes with two branded storage bags to keep everything in.

Here’s a list of a handful of standout chess sets in The Noble Collection:

Scalpers list ROG Astral RTX 5090 Dhahab Edition GPU for as much as $22,900 on eBay

by admin June 12, 2025

The GeForce RTX 5090 stands out as one of the best graphics cards on the market, so its high price is no surprise. However, there is a distinction between merely expensive graphics cards and those that cost a king’s ransom. The Asus ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Dhahab OC Edition certainly falls into the latter group.

To begin with, the ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Dhahab OC Edition is exclusively available to the Middle Eastern market; thus, it cannot be found on the shelves of any retailer in the United States. One may acquire the ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Dhahab OC Edition through online e-commerce platforms, such as eBay. However — as is often the case — one will be subject to the practices of overseas sellers and opportunistic scalpers.

The ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Dhahab OC Edition has, naturally, been put up for sale on eBay. The prices listed vary according to the seller, but a common factor is that all these sellers are based in China. Consequently, the eBay sellers likely possess connections within the supply chain in China, which allowed them to acquire stock that was initially intended for shipment to the Middle East.

You may like

eBay sellers are offering the ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Dhahab OC Edition priced at $8,500, $14,998, and $22,990. With an MSRP of $6,806, this marks a scalper markup ranging from 1.2X to 3.4X on an already-pricey graphics card. And, of course, customs duties will further increase the total cost.

Asus produces some of the highest-priced custom GeForce RTX 5090 models available, making the ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Dhahab OC Edition a fitting addition. When we look at the MSRPs, this exclusive edition graphics card is priced at nearly twice that of the vanilla ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 32GB GDDR7 OC Edition, which doesn’t feature the elaborate embellishments and gold plating.

Compared to the competition, the ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Dhahab OC Edition is more than twice as expensive as other premium models like the Zotac Gaming GeForce RTX 5090 AMP Extreme Infinity, the MSI GeForce RTX 5090 32G Suprim Liquid SOC, and the Gigabyte Aorus GeForce RTX 5090 Xtreme WaterForce 32G. And it costs as much as 3.4 times more than the GeForce RTX 5090 Founders Edition.

Performance-wise, the ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Dhahab OC Edition is the same as the standard ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 32GB GDDR7 OC Edition. However, it boasts a boost clock of up to 2,610 MHz, ranking among the highest factory overclocks available, second only to the Gigabyte Aorus GeForce RTX 5090 Xtreme WaterForce 32G. Compared to a reference GeForce RTX 5090, the ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Dhahab OC Edition features an 8% higher boost clock. However, this increase is unlikely to be noticeable in real-world use unless you measure frame rates with recording software or intentionally benchmark different clock speeds.

With scalper pricing starting at $8,500, the ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Dhahab OC Edition definitely isn’t suitable for everyone. Even if priced at MSRP ($6,806), it remains an unwise investment, as you could instead buy a standard GeForce RTX 5090 and still have enough funds left over to build an entire high-end gaming system centered around the Blackwell flagship.

Obsidian’s Dungeons & Dragons RPG Neverwinter Nights 2 gets an Enhanced Edition next month

by admin June 10, 2025

Neverwinter Nights 2 – the 2006 RPG from Obsidian based on D&D 3.5 – is getting an Enhanced Edition, and it’s out next month. ‘Enhanced’ in this case means nicer textures, camera improvements, Steam Deck and controller compatibility, and Steam Workshop mod integration. It’s out next month, July 15th.

Watch on YouTube

It also includes three story expansions. If that’s simply not enough Neverwinter Nights for you, there’s a bundle on Steam currently where you can buy both this and the original NN – also in Enhanced Edition form – for 10% off. This would require pre-ordering, however. It’s like I always say: if someone has to bribe you into doing something, it’s surely a brilliant idea. Here’s Steam on the matter of the affairs of the particulars of the videogame at hand:

Return to the city of Neverwinter in Dungeons & Dragons Neverwinter Nights 2: Enhanced Edition. A dark force sweeps over Faerûn, ravaging everything in its path as though searching for something – something that you now find in your possession. As the Shard-Bearer, only you can stop the King of Shadows and his army from desecrating the land you call home. Will you save Faerûn, or fall victim to the temptation of absolute power? When your actions dictate the fate of the Realms, there are no small choices.

I bet there are some small choices, really. That’s just good writing. How do you make the big choices seem big otherwise? Please, consider your hyperbole for one second, advertising blurb.

The previous Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition was handled by Beamdog. They’ve since been gobbled up by Aspyr, themselves a gobbling appendage of chief gobblers Embracer, and it’s Aspyr on both enhancing and publishing duties this time around. Being long in the tooth by now, the Neverwinter Nights games have built up a decent modding community over the years, and the minimal amount of research I’ve done suggests that mods for the original NN worked fine with the 2018 EE. Assuming that’s the case for this new one, it means you’ll be able do things like play the entire Baldur’s Gate 1 campaign inside of it.

Here’s John’s (RPS in peace) diary series A Bastard In Neverwinter if you’re curious to learn how Neverwinter Nights 2 reacts to proto-Dark Urge shenanigans, and also just find the word ‘bastard’ inherently funny enough to force at least once into most articles you write, like some sort of marauding crambastard.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Restocked At Amazon, Lumiere Edition Reprint Up For Preorder

by admin June 10, 2025

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 turned out to be a much bigger hit than most people were probably expecting. In fact, it currently holds a 93 on Metacritic, which includes GameSpot’s 9/10 review, making it the best-reviewed video game of 2025 so far. It was immediately clear that publisher Kepler Interactive hadn’t anticipated the level of demand for the debut title from Sandfall Interactive. Physical editions of the budget-priced $50 release have essentially been sold out since the game’s April 24 launch. But fast forward to June, and we’re finally starting to see retailers replenish their stock.

Amazon restocked the PS5 physical edition on June 9. Meanwhile, GameStop is taking preorders on a reprint of its exclusive $70 Lumiere Edition. The upcoming reprint may not arrive for a few months, but at least fans can secure some exclusive merch, including an exclusive steelbook and Expeditioner’s Journal art book, without overpaying on the reseller market.

$50

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33’s physical edition sold out for PS5 and Xbox Series X shortly after the game launched on April 24. Restocks have been infrequent for both platforms, though Amazon restocked the PS5 physical edition on June 9. At the time of writing, Amazon’s store page was shifting back and forth between available and sold out.

We’d recommend checking the links below, because other retailers might follow Amazon’s restock with one of their own.

Check stock at:

$70 | Reprint Preorder | Releases October 31

The GameStop-exclusive Lumiere Edition is only available for PS5 in the US. The upcoming reprint, at least at the moment, is listed for an October 31 release. We’ll update with a new date if that changes, since Halloween might be a placeholder date.

Here’s a look at everything included in the Lumiere Edition:

  • Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 physical edition
  • Collectible Steelbook Case featuring Maelle, Gustave, and the Paintress
  • The Expeditioner’s Journal – 48-page hardcover art book
  • Digital Deluxe Upgrade Pack (in-game DLC)
    • The Flowers Collection – Six Flowers of Lumiere outfits and hairstyles / Six Gommage outfit variations
    • Custom “Clair” outfit for Maelle
    • Custom “Obscur” outfit for Gustave

$150 | Sold Out

SOLD OUT

Unlike the Limited Edition, the Collector’s Edition doesn’t appear to be getting a reprint. The Collector’s Edition was also exclusive to PS5 and only at GameStop. Along with all of the bonus DLC from the Lumiere and Digital Deluxe Editions, here’s what’s included in the box:

  • Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 base game
  • An 8-inch hand-painted Monolith music box
  • A collectible Steelbook case featuring unique cover art
  • The Expeditioner’s Journal 48-page hardcover artbook
  • The “Flowers” Collection DLC with unique cosmetic items
  • A “Clair” custom outfit for Maelle
  • An “Obscur” custom outfit for Gustave

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 PC Game Deals

If you’re simply interested in checking out the game, Steam keys are available for 10% off at GameSpot sister site Fanatical.

Clair Obscur is also available on Xbox and PC Game Pass. It’s an Xbox Play Anywhere title, so Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can carry their saves from PC to Xbox and vice-versa.

D&D Neverwinter Nights 2: Enhanced Edition Coming This Summer

by admin June 9, 2025

It’s been nearly two decades since Neverwinter Nights 2 was released, but the classic RPG from 2006 is getting a comeback. Aspyr has revealed Dungeons & Dragons Neverwinter Nights 2: Enhanced Edition is heading to consoles and PC this summer, and the new remaster already has a trailer.

Aspyr actually developed the original Mac port for Neverwinter Nights 2 that was released in 2008 before going on to remaster several other older titles. The new edition of Neverwinter Nights 2 features enhanced graphics and textures with updated camera controls and gameplay mechanics. It has full controller support, and the PC version is Steam Deck compatible. Steam Workshop access is also enabled.

All three of the original DLC expansions–Mask of the Betrayer, Storm of Zehir, and Mysteries of Westgate–are included in the Enhanced Edition. Additionally, Aspyr is offering a bundle on Steam that includes both Dungeons & Dragons Neverwinter Nights 2: Enhanced Edition and Dungeons & Dragons Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition.

Dungeons & Dragons Neverwinter Nights 2: Enhanced Edition will hit Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC on July 15.

Earlier this year, Wizards of the Coast allowed solo dev Luke Scull to release Doom of Icewind Dale, the first official Neverwinter Nights expansion in 23 years. Wizards’ parent company, Hasbro, has also confirmed that new Magic: The Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons video games are in development.

Hitman: World Of Assassination - Signature Edition Disappoints on Switch 2

Hitman: World Of Assassination – Signature Edition Disappoints on Switch 2

by admin June 7, 2025

Hitman: World of Assassination – Signature Edition sees Agent 47 and his penchant for disguises and creative murders arrive on Nintendo’s newest console. The Switch 2’s Signature Edition is a comprehensive package, featuring the full campaigns for Hitman (2016), Hitman 2 (2018), and Hitman 3 (2021), along with Contracts mode, Escalation, Elusive Target arcades, the relatively new (and excellent) Freelancer mode, Sniper Assassin mode, featured live content, and everything from both the Hitman 2 Expansion Pack and Hitman 3 Deluxe Pack. That includes cosmetics, locations like Haven Island and The Bank, and side missions such as the Seven Deadly Sins and Special Assignments campaigns.

The only content not included are three specific Elusive Target arcade contracts–Replication, The Base, and The Oroborous–and the Sarajevo Six bonus contracts. You can purchase all of this content on the Nintendo eShop for $5 each, but it’s disconcerting that these missions are gated behind paid DLC in the first place. The Sarajevo Six is the latest piece of significant DLC for the game, but it still came out two years ago after previously being exclusive to the PlayStation 4 version of Hitman 2, so you’d expect it to be included in a package that already costs $60. The Elusive Target contracts are even more egregious because they were previously released as free updates many years ago. These packs include cosmetics, which is probably the justification for selling them, but I think people would be a lot happier if the actual gameplay content was separated and included in the initial purchase. Having said that, you’re still getting dozens upon dozens of hours of Hitman to sink your teeth into. It’s an exhaustive package, even with parts missing.

Ultimately, this is still a solid collection–it just plays better everywhere else.

Of course, the big question regarding this port is: How’s the performance? Unlike the Switch version of Hitman 3, which required cloud streaming to run at all, the Signature Edition runs natively on the Switch 2 but falls short of other versions of the game in several areas. It’s not terrible, but there are clearly better places to play if you’re interested in killing people with a bald, barcoded assassin.

Visually, it looks good both docked and in handheld mode, whether you’re throwing axes at faces at a Paris fashion show, tampering with open-wheel race cars in Miami, or solving a whodunit at an opulent estate in Dartmoor. It appears to be 1080p when docked and 720p in handheld mode, so you lose some of the detail available on other platforms, and there is some occasional shimmering on certain objects. The Switch 2’s HDR implementation also doesn’t function properly when playing handheld, resulting in an overly bright image that makes certain aspects of the game, like the map, unreadable. Fortunately, you can at least turn this off in the system settings.

The framerate fluctuates wildly whenever you’re not in a small room.

Performance in the Signature Edition is uneven, utilizing an uncapped 60fps that varies from moment to moment depending on what’s happening on screen. If you’re in a small room by yourself, you can see the frame rate reach its upper limits, but it fluctuates wildly everywhere else. I never noticed any substantial drops, even when dealing with large crowds of NPCs, but playing in handheld mode fares best, as the Switch 2’s built-in Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) does a decent job of making the fickle frame rate feel smoother than it does when docked, where VRR is unavailable. Playing on a TV just feels unpleasant, even if the game’s methodical pacing somewhat mitigates this. There aren’t any graphics settings to tinker with either. This isn’t out of the ordinary for a console game, but the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of Hitman did let you cap the frame rate at 30fps for a more stable experience.

While playing in handheld mode is the way to go for more consistent performance, that doesn’t mean it’s great for taking Hitman on the go. The death knell for this port is the Signature Edition’s always-online requirement. This restriction has been part of the game since 2016, so it’s hardly surprising, but it’s disappointing that IO Interactive hasn’t found an alternative solution that allows you to reap the full benefits of the Switch 2’s portability. You can still play the game offline, but it’s a badly diluted experience, lacking progression, rewards, challenges, and level mastery; essentially, everything that adds replayability and a sense of accomplishment is absent unless you’re connected to the Hitman servers. If you’re playing through the campaigns for the first time, it’s mostly fine, but anything beyond this is significantly stripped back due to a rigid requirement.

Hitman 3 is one of our favorite games–it was picked for GameSpot’s Best of 2023.

Due to these issues and the game’s performance problems, it’s tough to recommend Hitman: World of Assassination – Signature Edition. Not only are other versions of the game regularly cheaper–and sometimes free–but they also run and look better, both on TVs/monitors and handheld devices like the Steam Deck and ASUS ROG Ally. The Switch 2 port is certainly playable (albeit compromised), and the World of Assassination trilogy remains fantastic, but even amidst the excitement of a shiny new console, Agent 47’s latest Nintendo outing is a letdown.

A Roman Sands RE:Build release date and a tease for a new edition of Paratopic is exactly what the doctor ordered

by admin June 7, 2025

I’ve been excited about Roman Sands RE:Build since the moment I laid my eyes on it, particularly because it’s from the same studio behind the ever-haunting Paratopic. Roman Sands just has a ridiculously strong art direction to it, very much one that could easily be dubbed Y2K, but I think more accurately should be seen as an evolution of the aesthetic/ era. Almost as if this is the direction it could have gone in.

Just great stuff, not even counting the oddball gameplay, and as revealed in a new trailer, it’s got a release date now too: September 12th. That’s close enough for me to count down the days, but far away enough for me to think “I’d like to be playing this right now actually, ta very much.” The trailer offered a new look at its strange, puzzley hotel and all of its guests, as well as a tease for the things you’ll be getting up to (all of which seem quite ominous.

Watch on YouTube

The gameplay itself sees you attending to the demands of said guests as outlandish as they all are, but the clock is working against you. Specifically, a clock that’ll see the sun swallowing up the world. Terrifying! And a great hook. There’s a demo you can check out on Steam too, or you can just wishlist it if you want to wait for the full thing.

Excitingly, the release date trailer also had a mysterious tease for Paratopic: Overdub, seemingly an anniversary edition of the game. Over on its Steam page it’s described as a remaster/ remix/ sequel, and look, it could be none of those things and I’d still be in. Paratopic is a peak example of the modern trend of PS1-inspired games, using the aesthetic to really hone in on its subtle horrors. Whatever this new thing contains, I’ll take it. It’s coming September 12th too, so I’m sure like me you’ll be plenty busy that day!

Suikoden HD Remaster Physical Edition Is Only $30 For A Limited Time

by admin June 7, 2025

Amazon still lists the Nintendo Switch version as the Day One Edition, but the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions do not have “Day One Edition” in their names. That said, you might get the Day One Edition if you order a copy for PlayStation or Xbox. The box art has the Day One emblem, and it’s possible Konami hasn’t even printed standard edition copies yet.

In any case, the Day One Edition comes with a few helpful in-game bonuses. Inside the box you’ll find a code that unlocks immediate access to the Prosperity Orb and Fortune Orb in-game items, which double the amount of money and experience you earn from battles, respectively. You also get a bonus 57,300 Potch (in-game currency).

The Orb items are acquirable in the game, but they’re rare drops, so having them available immediately is a perk for players who don’t want to spend as much time farming Potch and XP.

You can get the deal on the physical edition of Suikoden I & II HD Remaster for Nintendo Switch, PS5, and Xbox Series X at Amazon and Best Buy. Walmart also has this deal, but only the Xbox edition is in stock. Target had the deal earlier this week but no longer has copies left.

The remasters of both games feature HD sprites and backgrounds, enhanced sound effects, and QOL options like auto-saving, adjustable battle speeds, and a conversation log for reviewing previous dialogue.

Jordan Peele Limited Edition Steelbook Collection Drops To Best Price Yet

by admin May 31, 2025

Jordan Peele fans can add a limited-edition 4K Blu-ray combo pack to their collection for cheap right now. Amazon has the Get Out / Us Double Feature: Limited Edition Steelbook discounted to only $26. Released last October with an MSRP of $46, this four-disc collection cleverly combines the memorable key art from both horror hits to create a unique display piece. The $26 price is a new all-time low for the Get Out / Us Steelbook. This deal is so good that you’d actually pay more for the 2019 version of the 4K Double Feature with a standard plastic case ($30).

$26 (was $46)

The Us / Get Out Double Feature – Limited Edition Steelbook

The four-disc set includes 4K Blu-ray and standard Blu-ray discs as well as digital versions of each film and a bunch of special features. We’ve included lists of bonus content for each movie at the bottom of this story. Unfortunately, there isn’t a 4K Blu-ray box set featuring all three of Peele’s movies. There is, however, a Jordan Peele 3-Movie Collection with Get Out, Us, and Nope on 1080p Blu-ray for $19.47 (was $45) at Amazon.

But if you pick up the deal on the Limited Edition Steelbook, you could pair it with Nope’s 4K Blu-ray Collector’s Edition for only $17. If you go that route, you’ll be getting all three of Peele’s movies on 4K Blu-ray and 1080p Blu-ray for $43–as well as a cool steelbook case.

Get Out (2017) and Us (2019) are widely regarded as two of the best modern horror films. Peele wrote, directed, and produced both movies. For Get Out, his directorial debut, Peele won the Academy Award for Best Screenplay and was nominated for Best Director. Get Out also earned a Best Picture nomination, and lead actor Daniel Kaluuya was nominated for Best Actor.

Kaluuya also starred in the 2022 movie Nope, Peele’s third and most recent directorial project. Nope garnered widespread critical acclaim and showcased Peele’s range within the horror genre. While his first two movies were psychological horror, Nope was a compelling mix of horror, science fiction, and neo-Western.

Here’s a look at the special features for the 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray versions of Get Out, Us, and Nope. The 4K Blu-ray editions support Dolby Vision and HDR10.

Special Features for Get Out

  • Audio commentary by Jordan Peele
  • Unveiling the Horror of Get Out
  • Q&A with Jordan Peele and the cast
  • Alternate ending with optional commentary from Peele
  • Deleted scenes with optional commentary from Peele

Special Features for Us
