How to complete the Popcorn Enthusiast duty in Disney Dreamlight Valley

by admin June 1, 2025

In Disney Dreamlight Valley, from May 28 until June 17, you can participate in the ongoing Dreamlight Parks Fest event and craft exclusive furniture. During this time, you can complete several Dreamlight duties to unlock additional items, with the Popcorn Enthusiast duty being, by far, the most challenging to finish.

Popcorn Enthusiast duty guide in Disney Dreamlight Valley Parks Fest

Completing the Popcorn Enthusiast duty in Disney Dreamlight Valley requires crafting and placing five popcorn buckets added throughout both versions of the Dreamlight Parks Fest event. The event, which runs from May 28 to June 17, introduces five button types that you’ll use to craft each bucket, allowing you to decorate your village and claim your quest reward.

Of the seven popcorn bucket types available in the 2025 Dreamlight Parks Fest event, you only need to craft five to complete this task. Here’s a quick list of all seven popcorn bucket options you can make for the Popcorn Enthusiast duty:

  • Cinderella Popcorn Bucket
  • Stitch Popcorn Bucket
  • Figment Popcorn Bucket
  • Pooh’s Popcorn Bucket
  • Metallic Mickey Popcorn Bucket
  • Dug Popcorn Bucket
  • Mine Cart Popcorn Bucket

You don’t have to wait until you unlock the Dug and Mine Cart Popcorn Buckets to finish this task. Instead, you’re free to make the five original buckets introduced during the 2024 Dreamlight Parks Fest event before completing Scrooge McDuck and Mirabel’s special quests and receiving these bucket recipes.

To make each popcorn bucket, you’ll have to travel around Dreamlight Valley and search for buttons. You’ll obtain these buttons by fishing, completing daily quests, and foraging. While you can farm some for an indefinite time, others, such as green, flower, and red buttons, are limited by daily quests and spawn rates, making it impossible to complete in one day.

If you participated in this event previously, you can redo the task by using the Cheshire Cat’s Uncrafting Station. That way, you can break down each bucket, retrieve your buttons, and recraft them to complete the event’s village tasks. The only exception to this is the Dug and Mine Cart Popcorn Buckets, as they weren’t available during last year’s event.

All Dreamlight Parks Fest Popcorn Bucket recipes

Below is a list of every popcorn bucket introduced during the Dreamlight Parks Fest event alongside their crafting requirements:

In other words, you’ll need the following buttons to make all five popcorn buckets:

  • Green Button – 280
  • Purple Button – 30
  • Flower Button – 100
  • Blue Button – 120 (90 for recipes, 30 for purple buttons)
  • Red Button – 100 (40 for recipes, 60 for purple buttons)

That’s a lot of buttons. While some, like blue and flower buttons, are readily available through fishing and flower collecting, the others require days of questing, foraging, and crafting, making this task much more challenging than Sweet Samaritan and Button-Maker. Fortunately, making all five popcorn buckets allows you to finish the Button-Maker task simultaneously, quickly knocking out two of the three event duties.

Enjoy some fishing, foraging, and crafting

The main goal of Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Parks Fest event is for you to decorate your village with cheerful theme park decorations after collecting buttons and crafting decorative popcorn buckets. While most buttons are available through foraging and fishing, one particular type links to a crafting recipe.

Crafting these buttons serves multiple purposes, from allowing you to craft popcorn buckets to advancing you through the event’s Button-Maker duty. Here’s exactly how to complete Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Button-Maker objective during the Dreamlight Parks Fest event.

Button-Maker duty guide in Disney Dreamlight Valley Parks Fest

Completing the Button-Maker duty during the Dreamlight Parks Fest event requires creating 20 purple buttons in your crafting table using blue and red buttons. Below are the exact crafting materials for one purple button:

  • Blue Button (1)
  • Red Button (2)
  • Dreamlight (100)

Screenshot by Destructoid

In other words, you’ll need 20 blue buttons, 40 red ones, and 2,000 Dreamlight for all 20 purple buttons. Once you have these required items, head into your crafting table and scroll through the Functional Items category until you find the purple button option. Whether you craft them gradually or create all 20 at once is up to you.

Once you have made all 20 purple buttons, go back to your Dreamlight duties menu and find the task to claim your cosmetic reward. You’ll obtain a Retro Magic Kingdom Map as your prize, which you can use anywhere within your village house.

How to easily find red and blue buttons

Usually, the most challenging part of making purple buttons is getting enough blue and red buttons. Red buttons spawn on the ground outside villager houses, while blue buttons are a potential fishing drop. However, there’s a way to make this process easier if you participated in the 2024 version of Dreamlight Parks Fest.

If you took part in the original Dreamlight Parks Fest event and have progressed far enough into Disney Dreamlight Valley’s storyline, you’ll eventually unlock the Cheshire Cat as a villager. One of his friendship quests unlocks a machine called the Uncrafting Station, letting you break down furniture items and receive their raw materials. You can toss popcorn buckets into here, letting you claim all your buttons and either recraft the buckets or use your excess blue and red buttons to make purple ones.

Screenshot by Destructoid

If you weren’t available to participate in Dreamlight Parks Fest 2024 or didn’t craft every popcorn bucket, you’ll have to find red and blue buttons manually. With red buttons, your best bet is to watch the ground as you run around your village in case some randomly spawn around, especially since they can appear in any biome. If you’re hunting for blue buttons, focus on white fishing circles, as these are the only types that spawn them.

Once you have at least 20 blue buttons and 40 red ones, head into any crafting station to make your purple buttons, letting you complete Button-Maker and claim your prize.

How to complete the Sweet Samaritan duty in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Be a Good Samaritan, one cupcake at a time.

Published: May 30, 2025 10:12 am

Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Parks Fest event features five new cupcake recipes, several cosmetic and furniture additions, and a few quests to spice things up. You’ll also find several new village duties, with Sweet Samaritan being one you can finish within a day or two with enough time and dedication.

Sweet Samaritan duty guide in Disney Dreamlight Valley Parks Fest

Completing the Sweet Samaritan duty during the Dreamlight Parks Fest event requires baking and gifting 50 cupcakes. Below are the five cupcake types that count toward this duty:

  • Mermaid Cupcake
  • Minnie Cupcake
  • Princess Aurora Raspberry Cupcake
  • Spaceship Earth Cupcake
  • Stitch Cupcake

However, baking them is only half of the battle. Once you make all 50 cupcakes, you’ll have to gift each to various Dreamlight Valley villagers. Doing this fulfils the Sweet Samaritan duty, allowing you to claim the Magic Kingdom Map wall banner. To get your prize, head back into your Dreamlight duties menu, pick the Village subcategory, and select the Sweet Samaritan duty.

Screenshot by Destructoid

Although it doesn’t matter which of these five cupcakes you make for the Sweet Samaritan duty, your best bet is to complete your Dreamlight Parks Fest event’s daily quests. Each day, you’ll receive a quest from one of five villagers asking you to bake cupcakes and gift them to others. Below are the five characters that can give you this task:

  • Mickey Mouse
  • Moana
  • Scrooge McDuck
  • Ursula
  • WALL-E

Completing a daily mission rewards you with 20 green buttons, bringing you one step closer to finishing the Sweet Samaritan duty. From here, you can either wait until the next day to complete more quests or make 45 more cupcakes before gifting them.

All Sweet Samaritan cupcake recipes in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Although most cupcakes follow a similar recipe, each has a secret ingredient that sets it apart from the others. Here’s a complete list of every cupcake recipe eligible for Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Sweet Samaritan duty:

As you’ll quickly notice, every recipe includes butter, milk, wheat, and sugarcane. You can purchase butter and milk from the Chez Remy kitchen’s shop for 190 and 230 Star Coins, respectively. Wheat and sugarcane are available from Peaceful Meadow and Dazzle Beach through Goofy’s stall.

Your main challenge is obtaining the fifth ingredient for each recipe. Here are the spawn locations for all five items:

  • Scallop: Dazzle Beach
  • Apple: Plaza, Peaceful Meadow, Forgotten Lands
  • Raspberry: Plaza, Peaceful Meadow
  • Coconut: Dazzle Beach
  • Blueberry: Dazzle Beach, Forest of Valor

All five ingredients are available from Disney Dreamlight Valley’s first three biomes, making them easy to obtain, even for newer players. If you already have some on hand, head to any stovetop or Chez Remy’s restaurant to cook up your cupcake dishes and gift them to your villagers.

This New Call Of Duty Gun Has A Must-See Weapon-Inspection Animation

by admin May 30, 2025

Season 4 is live in Black Ops 6 and Warzone, bringing a new battle pass and plenty of content to Call of Duty. Not all of the seasonal content has arrived yet, but dataminers are already showing off new bundles planned for the in-game shop, including this upcoming weapon blueprint with a must-see weapon inspection.

As leaked by Thund3r, the “Combo Bash” Mastercraft weapon blueprint for Season 4’s new FFAR1 assault rifle has a highly detailed weapon-inspection animation. The Combo Bash blueprint can be seen in the post below, which reveals a colorful, cel-shaded variant of the FFAR1 with an entire arcade fight scene taking place during the weapon inspection.

— Thund3r (@thund3rCOD) May 29, 2025

This isn’t the first time Call of Duty has featured such a wild and detailed weapon inspection, but these over-the-top animations are usually reserved for the weapon blueprints found in Call of Duty Mobile. One of the most notable gun animations from the mobile version is a mythic weapon blueprint with a gun inspection that includes an entire WW2 cinematic experience.

Those looking to score Black Ops 6’s Combo Bash weapon blueprint will need to wait until Season 4’s “Tracer Pack: Arcade Champ Mastercraft” bundle hits the shop. Activision has not released the date or price for the pack, but this is part of an arcade-themed bundle with an operator skin for Toro as well as additional cosmetics.

Season 4’s battle pass adds the new FFAR1 assault rifle and LC10 submachine gun, but more weapons will arrive in Season 4 Reloaded. Make sure to check out the Season 4 patch notes to see everything that changed in Black Ops 6 and Warzone.

Almost Every Call Of Duty Game Is On Sale Right Now On Steam

Almost Every Call Of Duty Game Is On Sale Right Now On Steam

by admin May 29, 2025

Image: Activision / Kotaku

The Activision Publisher Sale 2025 is happening now on Steam and ends on June 6. It includes some Crash Bandicoot and Spyro games as well as some older Activision-published PC games. But the big news for many is that nearly every Call of Duty game can be bought at a nice discount during the sale.

This Modern Warfare 3 Gameplay Feature Spices Up A Weak Campaign

Wow, there are a lot of Call of Duty games, huh? Like, I knew that already going into this post. I’ve played most of them. But writing down a full list of all the games on sale on Steam really reminded me that this series is massive. It also reminded me of the weird fact that Call of Duty 3 never got a PC port. I liked CoD3 back in the day, and it’s a shame that this forgotten WW2 shooter is stuck on Xbox 360 and PS3. As a result, it’s also not on sale on Steam. Weirdly, Black Ops 4 is also not on Steam and so isn’t on sale. But besides those two anomalies, every other main entry in the juggernaut franchise—and most of the DLC for these games, too—is on sale on Steam.

Here’s the list of all the CoD games currently marked down on Valve’s storefront.

  • Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 – $39 ($70)
  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III (2023) – $35 ($70)
  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II (2022) – $28 ($70)
  • Call of Duty: Vanguard – $24 ($60)
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops: Cold War – $20 ($60)
  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) – $20 ($60)
  • Call of Duty: WWII – $20 ($60)
  • Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare – $20 ($60)
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops III – $20 ($60)
  • Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare – $20 ($60)
  • Call of Duty: Ghosts – $20 ($60)
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops II – $20 ($60)
  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 – $20 ($60)
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops – $20 ($40)
  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 – $15 ($20)
  • Call of Duty: World at War – $15 ($20)
  • Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare – $10 ($20)
  • Call of Duty 2 – $15 ($20)
  • Call of Duty – $10 ($20)

See, told you there were a lot of games when you listed them all out.

Tfue claims Fortnite has higher “skill gap” than Call of Duty

by admin May 29, 2025

Tfue has shared his thoughts about why Fortnite is one of the highest skill gap games of all time, even ahead of CoD.

What’s the game with the highest skill gap in the world? It’s a contentious question where there’s really no objective answer. It’s all relative. Some may think MOBAs are hard, while others may picture fighting games or aim-intensive titles at the top of the list.

For Twitch star Turner Tenney, also known as Tfue, Fortnite is among the hardest games to play out there, as he explained on the Impaulsive podcast.

On the surface, the Battle Royale title may appeal to all ages thanks to its wide range of collabs, live events, and cartoony graphics. But Tfue has explained it’s far from easy despite how it looks.

Tfue explains why Fortnite is a higher-skill gap game than CoD

“I think right now Fortnite is like one of the highest skill gap games of all time,” he said. He then went on to explain that if you take “some random” pro player from another game and have them hop on Fortnite, they could be just “average” due to the high skill gap.

Fortnite is the hardest game on the planet.@Tfue went on @impaulsive to talk about fortnite competitive and how top pros from other titles would never stand a chance

I have been preaching this for years…these “kids” are on a whole other level and its not even close pic.twitter.com/tR986ZCTFg

— BenK (@Benk_live) May 28, 2025

Although Fortnite can, of course, be enjoyed casually, he described the top players in this game as “so good” that these people are “insane.” Think of those who have played Builds for years with their wild reaction times, as well as impressive aiming and decision-making skills.

Following this, he mentioned the experience of well-known streamer Stable Ronaldo, who “was a great Fortnite player back in the day,” being able to compete and play in tournaments.

Article continues after ad

Although his content has shifted, at one point, he challenged “one of the best players” in the world to a 1v1. “His opponent would start with 99 deaths, and he would start with about one life. So, all he has to do is kill him once, and this kid has to kill him a hundred times,” he explained.

In the end, he didn’t even get to kill the player once and died a hundred times. “That’s how good these new players are.”

Article continues after ad

Article continues after ad

Tfue added: “You can go into a game with one of the best players in the world, and we could give you a month, but you just wouldn’t kill them. Where, like, if you go into a Call of Duty lobby versus the best CoD player in the world, dude, you’re gonna kill them.”

Obviously, the matter is up for debate. We’d wager the likes of Scump or the Tiny Terrors would have a thing or two to say about it. If push comes to shove, let’s settle it in a good old-fashioned Rust 1v1.

Squash Call Of Duty Beef By Sending Your Rival Literal Beef

by admin May 26, 2025

We’ve probably all experienced a heated rivalry with a friend or another player in a game that transitions to a full-on grudge. Activision wants you to be able to acknowledge your Call of Duty beefs by sending your rival literal beef.

Activision has partnered with Manly Man Co., which is an artisanal beef jerky company that makes creatively shaped products out of dried meat, to sell an edible Call of Duty-themed card to their friends. Players can purchase the “Settle our Beef” meat card for $24.50, which comes with the ability to have the sender’s and receiver’s name imprinted directly on the meat.

Got a grudge? A friendly feud? Don’t just talk smack—send it. Literally 😤
Because to settle beef, you gotta send the beef. Settle the score with edible invites made from beef straight outta the farmlands of Verdansk @CarterVailMusic 🥩 pic.twitter.com/lA3J2mscvY

— Call of Duty (@CallofDuty) May 22, 2025

The card is emblazoned with the Call of Duty logo and also states, “Time to settle our beef[.] 1v1 me in Call of Duty[.]” It isn’t small–it measures 4×9 inches and contains 1.8 ounces of jerky.

Activision announced the meat card with a video produced by comedy musician Carter Vail, which you can watch in the embed above. Vail is best known for his viral song “Dirt Man”, but it’s worth checking out his other music, too.

Meanwhile, Activision is gearing up to launch Black Ops 6 Season 4, which will be released on May 29. The new season adds a bunch of content, including an Ana de Armas Operator, the return of Stitch, a bunch of new maps and modes, and other items.
